Beyonce and Jay Z bans guests from taking photos at pre-Oscars party

OHMYGOSSIP — Beyonce and Jay Z have banned guests from taking photos at their pre-Oscars party.
The couple are hosting their annual bash at Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont hotel for a second year in a row but have put a ban on social media to ensure there are no “embarrassing snaps” from the party.
A source close to the couple told The Sun newspaper: “Bey and Jay have put a series of tough measures in place to ensure none of their guests upload any embarrassing snaps from the party.
“They want to keep the whole thing top secret, and have ordered celebrity guests to leave their own security teams at home so there is space form everybody else.”
The power couple toured together last year and they are “closer than ever” following that run.
An insider shared: “It was a very special year for the whole family. Beyoncé and Jay loved touring and connecting with their fans. They enjoyed bringing their whole family on tour. It was like a big adventure for everyone. They loved showing Blue around Europe, enjoyed solo date nights and family fun. Beyoncé and Jay seem closer than ever. They are very grateful for another wonderful year together. They are definitely looking back at this year with huge smiles.”
‘Halo’ hitmaker Beyonce reminisced on her biggest accomplishments of 2018 in a heartfelt letter to her fans back in September.
In a post on her website titled ‘Your B***h at 36’ – which was posted in honour of her 37th birthday on September 4 – she wrote: “At 36, I became a mother of three. I breastfed twins. I renewed vows with my husband of ten years. I came back home to the stage to do Coachella, after pregnancy. Then my husband and I released our album together, ‘Everything is Love’. And we’ve been touring with our whole family around the world, and loving it.”

Drake parties with Adele

OHMYGOSSIP — Drake partied with Adele over the weekend.
The duo were seen having a laugh around Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley, where they dined at Jerry’s Famous Deli before heading over to Pinz Bowling next door. Later, they headed to Chill N Vape Lounge.
The pair became friends when they met after Drake’s concerts back in October and have stayed in contact ever since, TMZ reports.
Meanwhile, Drake previously confessed he was so “gassed” to find out Adele was at his show at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.
He shared on Twitter: “Oiiiiiii don’t f**king get me gassed right now I love this woman and she came to the show. Thank god nobody told me I would have been SHOOK (sic)”
Adele had earlier posted a tweet where she admitted Drake had “blew her mind”.
Alongside a heart emoji, she wrote: “Oii Champagne Papi blew my mind tonight! Best production I’ve ever seen hands down and way up there with one of my favorite shows of all time. Huge love (sic)”
Drake would no doubt love to see Adele live but she previously confessed that touring “doesn’t suit” her, and she would rather continue making music without the pressure of heading out on tour.
In a handwritten note inside the programme for her Wembley Stadium shows in 2017, Adele wrote: “So this is it after 15 months on the road and 18 months of 25, we are at the end. Touring is a peculiar thing, it doesn’t suit me particularly well. I’m a real homebody and I get so much joy in the small things. Plus, I’m dramatic and have a terrible history of touring. Until now that is! I’ve done 119 shows and these last four will take me up to 123, it has been hard but an absolute thrill and pleasure. I only ever did this tour for you and to hopefully have an impact on you the way that some of my favourite artists have had on me live. And I wanted my final shows to be in London because I don’t know if I’ll ever tour again and so I want my last time to be at home.”

Karl passed away after battling ill health for several weeks. He was admitted to hospital in Paris, France on Monday evening (18.02.19) and passed away Tuesday. The cause of death has yet to be made public.
And since his death, tributes from the fashion and showbiz worlds alike have poured in including former popstar and fashion designer Victoria Beckham.

Daniel Radcliffe ‘got very drunk’ to cope with fame

OHMYGOSSIP — Daniel Radcliffe used alcohol to cope with fame.
The ‘Harry Potter’ star admitted that, during the height of his fame, he would feel “watched” every time he stepped into a bar and used to “get very drunk” to overcompensate for that feeling.
He said: “There is an awareness that I really struggled with, particularly in my late teens when I was going out to places for the first time where you would feel – again, it could have largely been in my head – where you would feel watched when you went into a bar, when you went into a pub. In my case, the quickest way to forget you were being watched was to get very drunk. Then as you get very drunk, you become aware, ‘Oh, people are watching more now because now I’m getting very drunk, so I should probably drink more to ignore that more.’ It can affect your psyche.”
Daniel was known for having a wilder lifestyle when he was younger but he insists that now he is “much happier” without that life.
He added: “I don’t miss it generally now at all. I know that varies for some people. When I think of the sort of chaos I used to invite into my life, I’m really much happier now. I think there was some part of me that was like, ‘Actors have to be crazy cool drunks. I have to live up to this weird image that I had in my head of what it means to be a famous actor.'”
Daniel only knows how hard it can be finding fame at a young age but he has no regrets about the movie that made him a household name.
Speaking on Off Camera With Sam Jones, he shared: “There is no blueprint for starting young and working stuff out. That’s why whenever people are having a go at Justin Bieber drag racing cars or whatever, I’m always like, ‘Yeah, but you never know. Stuff could be super crazy for him right now.’ … Even at the lowest point, I still loved my job so much and I still loved going to set. There was never a day where my own s**t would affect how I was on the set. There was never a point where I was like, ‘Oh, I wish this hadn’t happened to me. I wish I wasn’t Harry Potter.’ That just didn’t happen.”

EastEnders: Laura Norton takes new co-star Natalie Ann Jamieson under her wing

OHMYGOSSIP — Laura Norton has taken ‘EastEnders’ newcomer Natalie Ann Jamieson under her wing.
The 35-year-old actress – who plays Kerry Wyatt on the soap – is excited for the incoming star to take over the role of her on-screen daughter Amy five years after Chelsea Halfpenny’s exit.
She told Inside Soap: “I’d like to thin I have. Watching her, you remember how scary it was when you started. I had lovely people around me.
“But just in terms of her character, helping her to make it her own. Natalie is a very good actress, and the character should be hers now.”
Laura is excited to start acting with her new co-star – whose casting was confirmed last month – describing her as “lovely and friendly”.
She added: “I’m looking forwad to it, very much so – Natalie’s brilliant! I did the screen test with her and her instincts are amazing.
“She’s lovely and friendly – and she’s a fellow Geordie, so what more could you want?”
Amy – who left Albert Square in 2013 and has been living in Ireland – was last seen with Chelsea playing the part until she left the soap to try other projects.
The ‘Casualty’ star decided not to reprise the role, but has given her blessing to Natalie – and she is still in touch with her former cast mates.
Laura revealed: “Of course! We speak a lot and we FaceTimed recently. She was supportive when we auditioned for a new Amy. She’s great, so I have the best of both worlds – I’ve got two great daughters!”
When Natalie was announced to be joining ‘EastEnders’, she said how “grateful” she was for the chance.
She said: “I feel very lucky to be joining the cast of such a loved and respected show. I’m very grateful for this opportunity, and can’t wait to find out what the future holds for Amy!”

Simon Gregson calls wife ‘devil surgeon’ as she removes his ingrown hair

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Gregson called his wife a “devil surgeon” as she helped him remove an ingrown hair.
The ‘Coronation Street’ star – who married his long term partner Emma Gleave eight years ago – shared a snap of his wife on social media holding a pair of tweezers, and suggested it had been a painful procedure.
Alongside an angry faced emoji, Simon – who plays Steve McDonald on the soap – wrote: “I’m I the only one who has an armature ingrowing hair Devil surgeon (sic)”
The actor’s Twitter followers were quick to offer words of support, with some of them opening up about their own experiences.
One tweeted: “I had one once. Not nice. Relief when its gone Simon”
Another laughed: “Think you should definitely video this surgical procedure!!”
The amusing but awkward moment was a far cry from the loved up couple’s Valentine’s Day (14.02.19) plans, which saw them head to the cinema to watch Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga’s music drama ‘A Star Is Born’.
Emma tweeted: “Valentines date night to the cinema! ‘A star is born! Wow what a film……… whole new respect for @ladygaga ! LOVED IT @simongregson123”
Last month, the pair had a “lucky escape” after a fire broke out at Manchester’s The Ivy restaurant.
Simon, 44, wrote on Twitter: “Hats off to the staff at The Ivy yesterday for getting everyone out safe.”
Emma shared a clip on her Twitter, writing: “The Ivy Manchester is now on fire! What a lucky escape (sic)”
Fortunately, the fire was confined to The Ivy’s terrace area, allowing the restaurant to re-open its doors the very next night after being given the go-ahead by fire chiefs.
A statement read: “The fire was contained in one section of The Roof Garden thanks to the excellent work of the Greater Manchester Fire Services who have informed us that the building is now totally safe to occupy.”

Scarlett Lee says graveyard proposal was ‘perfect’

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Lee says her graveyard marriage proposal was “perfect” and she felt like her grandparents “were there” with her.
The ‘X Factor’ runner-up got engaged to her boyfriend Nathan Shaw earlier this month, who popped the question besides her grandparents’ grave, and although she can appreciate that the proposal was unconventional she wouldn’t have wanted it “any other way”.
Speaking to Christine Lampard on ‘Lorraine’, she said: “I didn’t want it any other way. It was so perfect; we’ve been together since we were children. I know they [her grandparents] were there.”
The 21-year-old singer is currently on ‘The X Factor Live Tour’ and is living her “best life” at the moment as she has also started planning her wedding.
Scarlett’s mother is helping her with the planning stage but she already knows what dress she wants as she’s had an idea for a bridal gown in her mind since she was a “little girl”.
She explained: “I sketched it [wedding dress] out as a little girl and it’s still the same. I’m living the best life now. My mum has a lot of input as she’s my best friend.”
Scarlett was mentored by Simon Cowell on the last series of the ITV talent show and she has nothing but good things to say about her second “dad” because of the way he supported her and her family when they experienced a devastating fire at their home last year.
She said: “I can’t wait to show him my new songs. I definitely going back to LA as I want to enjoy it and not be so nervous.”
Speaking of the blaze, she added: “He was like another dad to me, what he did for my family behind closed door and not in the press, I thank him.”

Zack Snyder hails Ben Affleck ‘best Batman ever’

OHMYGOSSIP — Zack Snyder called Ben Affleck the “best Batman ever”.
The 52-year-old director – who cast Affleck as Bruce Wayne for ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ and ‘Justice League’ – has paid tribute to the 46-year-old actor who confirmed he was stepping down as The Caped Crusader last month and thanked his pal for “blessing him” with his “glorious chin and amazing heart”.
Sharing a picture of Affleck as the Gotham City Saviour on Twitter, he wrote: “There was a time above … a time before … there were perfect things… diamond absolutes. But things fall… things on earth.
“And what falls… is fallen. In the dream, it took me to the light. A beautiful lie… Best Batman ever. Thank you my friend for blessing me with that f**king glorious chin and an amazing heart. (sic)”
The ‘Gone Girl’ star will step down as the hero for Matt Reeves’ June 2021 standalone movie ‘The Batman’, which will focus on a younger version of the comic book legend, a project that Affleck had initially been attached to both star in and direct.
It has not yet been announced who will be taking control of the Bat Cave from Affleck, but Reeves has teased that the plot will be more of a detective-driven story with a full “rogues gallery”.
The ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ filmmaker said: “It’s very much a point of view-driven, noir Batman tale. It’s told very squarely on his shoulders, and I hope it’s going to be a story that will be thrilling but also emotional. It’s more Batman in his detective mode than we’ve seen in the films. The comics have a history of that. He’s supposed to be the world’s greatest detective, and that’s not necessarily been a part of what the movies have been.
“I’d love this to be one where when we go on that journey of tracking down the criminals and trying to solve a crime, it’s going to allow his character to have an arc so that he can go through a transformation.”

Guy Ritchie’s ‘Aladdin’ remake has ‘much stronger’ role for Jasmine

OHMYGOSSIP — Guy Ritchie’s ‘Aladdin’ remake will have a “much stronger journey” for Princess Jasmine.
The film’s producer Dan Lin revealed that Naomi Scott’s take on the character in the live-action reboot of the animated 1992 Disney classic will take more of a “leadership role” in the ruling of fictional city Agrabah and won’t be entirely focused on her romance with Aladdin, played by Mena Massoud.
In an interview with Empire, Dan said: “In the original movie, it felt like [Jasmine] didn’t have as compelling a goal. Her main aim was to find the love of her life. In this case, the romance is important, but she also wants to see more of Agrabah, and take more of a leadership role in ruling the city. Her character has a much stronger journey.”
The upcoming film will also star Will Smith as the Genie and the Hollywood star previously admitted he was “terrified” of taking on the role, which was previously played by late comic Robin Williams.
Robin’s performance in ‘Aladdin’ received much critical acclaim, including earning him a Special Achievement Award at the Golden Globes, and Will has admitted to being slightly intimidated about having to follow in the footsteps of the actor.
He previously said: “I was terrified doing the Genie after Robin Williams. But I found a lane that pays homage. It is my own thing, you know? So, I think people are going to love it.”
Will, 50, also previously teased the much-anticipated new film was “spectacular”.
He enthused: “I have worked at most of the studios, and Disney just knows what they are doing. It was really a spectacular team of people that came together around a classic story. It’s so spectacular, it’s such a beautiful movie and I can’t wait for people to see it.”

Abducted in Plain Sight filmmaker wants to make a sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — Skye Borgman wants to make a sequel to ‘Abducted in Plain Sight’.
The Netflix film details the extraordinary case of 12-year-old Jan Broberg who is abducted twice from her small church-going community in Idaho in the 70s by her family’s trusted neighbour and friend Robert ‘B’ Berchtold.
The filmmaker has revealed that in order to explore in more depth the “grooming and brainwashing” that take place in the original 90-minute documentary as well as the effect of the religion on the family she would like to create a “sort of a trilogy of films” to further investigate the case.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, she says she hopes to make a follow-up film “to explore the different topics that we didn’t have time to really dive deep into.”
She added: “Like the role that faith plays – maybe not even just L.D.S. [Church of Latter-Day Saints] – but the role that faith plays in sheltering communities. Also grooming and brainwashing – there are really interesting, intricate things that happen, and we touch on both of those topics in the documentary, but I’d love to explore those more. I guess in a perfect world, it’d be sort of a trilogy of films.”
The film includes interviews from Jan herself, as well as her mother Mary Ann, her father Bob and her sister Susan and Skye admitted that so much time was spent editing the film that the family became “so frustrating” to her.
She explained: “We spent so much time with them on the computer, going through what they had said, and [editing] things together. There were times when the family was just so frustrating to me.”
The director recalled a point where the family took a break from the project six weeks but insisted it was the “best thing” for the documentary.
She said: “It was the best thing that we could’ve done because we were able to come back and feel everything we were supposed to feel.”

IDLES: Winning a BRIT would be meaningless

OHMYGOSSIP — IDLES say winning a BRIT Award would be “meaningless”.
The British pop punk group – comprised of Joe Talbot, Adam Devonshire, Mark Bowen, Lee Kiernan and Jon Beavis – are grateful for being nominated for British Breakthrough Act alongside Mabel, Tom Walker, Jorja Smith and Ella Mai at tonight’s ceremony (20.02.19), but they say it won’t make a difference to their career in the long-run.
Speaking to BBC Newsbeat, frontman Joe said: “For our hard work to be appreciated feels great.
“But we’re not better than anyone else and we don’t think that.
“We’re not going to turn it down but it’s not on our radar. We’d be the same band before or after a Brit Award, it’s meaningless.
“Being nominated is not meaningless. Us being part of the conversation, that’s the important bit.”
Despite their latest record ‘Joy as an Act of Resistance’ reaching number five in the Official UK Chart, Joe has admitted they feel like a “drop in the ocean” compared to some of the pop acts who are nominated alongside them.
He said: “It makes sense in one way because we were number five in the album chart.
“On the other side it doesn’t feel right.
“Compared to the sales and money behind many pop acts… we’re a drop in the ocean.”
Guitarist Mark says the fact they have received a nod could mean that the awards show is starting to branch out to recognise other genres.
He said: “They didn’t need to give us this opportunity – it’s an amazing thing that’s happened.”
Joe agrees with his bandmate and thinks it’s great that grime stars such as Stormzy are starting to be represented, as it opens the door for other alternative acts to be given the same pedastal as the pop stars dominating the charts.
He added: “When you’ve got some very similar pop music everywhere and not much choice for kids I think it’s important for them to see another side of things.
“Whether it be grime, punk or hardcore – there are a million things out there that are great and interesting.
“It’s good for people to just see that.
“However they get hold of it … we hope we can stick our foot in the door and open a conversation.”

Foals borrow Everything Everything bassist for tour

OHMYGOSSIP — Foals are borrowing Everything Everything’s bass player Jeremy Pritchard for their tour.
The British group’s bassist Walter Gervers quit the band after 12 years in 2017, and the band have been lucky enough to have Jeremy come on board for their forthcoming run, which kicks off on March 4 at Gorilla in Manchester, whilst his band are on a break between albums.
Alongside a picture of their new tour mate, they tweeted: “While our friends Everything Everything @E_E_ are on a break before making new music, they have kindly loaned us their bass player Jeremy Pritchard, who will be touring with us this year.”
Everything Everything also shared a picture of both bands, and added to their profile: “While we’re on a break before starting work on new music, Jeremy is spending a season on loan, playing bass live with our friends @Foals. (sic)”
The ‘My Number’ hitmakers have a busy year ahead with the release of two albums in 2019 entitled ‘Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost’ Part 1 and Part 2′.
Walter decided to bow out of the indie group in order to “pursue a new life”, but his bandmates – frontman Yannis Philippakis, Jack Bevan, Jimmy Smith and Edwin Congreav – had no hard feelings against his decision and wished him well for the future.
The four of them reassured fans at the time that their fifth record – their first since 2015 LP ‘What Went Down’ – is their “best yet”.
Announcing Walter’s departure, the ‘Cassius’ hitmakers said: “To all our fans.
“Sadly we have to announce that our mate Water has decided to leave the band to pursue a new life. The parting has been sad but we remain firm friends. He’ll always be our brother, we love him and wish him well in his future endeavours.
“We had 12 amazing years touring together from a small postal van to the Pyramid Stage and beyond. It’s the end of a chapter, but not the end of the book.
“We want to thank him for all his time and energy and passion and we want to thank you for all your support from the early days and into the future.
“We are making new music and working on the fifth LP. It’s gonna be the best yet. Keep those ears alive. (sic)”

50 Cent fears for life over alleged police threat

OHMYGOSSIP — 50 Cent has been left fearing for his life over an alleged police threat.
The ‘In Da Club’ hitmaker – whose real name is Curtis Jackson – has spoken out after reports the New York Police Department is investigating claims a commander allegedly threatened the star by telling members of his force to shoot him on site.
Sharing the news story with his followers on Instagram, he wrote: “I’m afraid for my life, I haven’t been able to sleep since I heard of this.
“The cops never notified me of the threat. I’m closing all my business in New York. I may have to sue the city.”
According to New York Daily News newspaper – who reported the original story – Deputy Inspector Emanuel Gonzalez made the comment during a roll call, but it’s said he meant it as a joke.
An NYPD spokesman confirmed that the incident is under review.
Meanwhile, Fiddy, 43, has also revealed he turned down a $500,000 to appear at Donald Trump’s inauguration in 2017.
The hip hop star claimed he was offered a huge amount of money to make an appearance as the US President was sworn in two years ago, and he snubbed the cash because he felt he was being asked to sway “the African American vote”.
Appearing on ‘The Late Late Show’, he told host James Corden: “They offered me half a million dollars to go. Just to come. I didn’t do it because I didn’t know if I could fix the damage.
“To be honest with you, all money’s not good money. I don’t know how to fix that. I was like, ‘Woah.’ Don’t bring me to fix the African American vote.”

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has cut diary from diet to clear acne

OHMYGOSSIP — Rosie Huntington-Whiteley “cut dairy and eggs” from her diet to help clear her adult acne.
The 31-year-old supermodel – who has 20-month-old son Jack with her fiancé Jason Statham – has always been honest about her battle with zits and to combat her breakouts she has altered her diet to prevent her from getting oily skin.
Sharing her skincare secrets on her YouTube channel Rose Inc, she said: “So I get a lot of people asking me what my skin type is, well on a good day, I would probably have just a couple of spots, and on a bad day, it could be a lot. I’ve always had a little bit of acne because it’s something my mum had. It’s something I’m always trying to better so I’m quite diligent about my skincare routine. I have oily skin and so that’s always something I’m trying to keep in check and use the right products to support that and also sometimes I have to cut things out of my diet. “So currently I’m cutting out eggs and dairy which is really boring because they’re all my favourite things, but there is nothing better than having good skin.”
Rosie also spilled that to maintain the best complexion she can, she always makes sure to remove her make-up when she is at home.
She added: “When I’m at home I don’t usually like to a lot of make-up on, I like to let me skin breathe so usually when I get home one of the first things I try and do is get into my bathroom and remove my makeup of the day and freshen up my skin and make sure I have some nice products on my skin to be about the house in.”
