Taylor Swift healed by music

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift claims music has “healed [her] heart” after “bad break-ups”.
The ‘Gorgeous’ hitmaker – who is dating actor Joe Alwyn and has previously been romantically linked with the likes of Harry Styles, Jake Gyllenhaal, Tom Hiddleston and Calvin Harris – loves the fact certain songs instantly take her back to a time in her past and others have helped her get through difficult periods.
She wrote in an open letter for Britain’s ELLE magazine: “I think that the way music can transport you back to a long-forgotten memory is the closest sensation we have to traveling in time.
“To this day, when I hear ‘Cowboy Take Me Away’ by the Dixie Chicks, I instantly recall the feeling of being 12 years old, sitting in a little wood paneled room in my family home in Pennsylvania. I’m clutching a guitar and learning to play the chords and sing the words at the same time, rehearsing for a gig at a coffee house.
“When I hear ‘I Write Sins Not Tragedies'” by Panic! At The Disco, I’m transported back to being sixteen and driving down the streets of Hendersonville, Tennessee, with my best friend Abigail, euphorically screaming the lyrics…
“I’m convinced that ‘You Learn’ by Alanis Morissette, ‘Put Your Records On’ by Corinne Bailey Rae and ‘Why’ by Annie Lennox have actually healed my heart after bad break-ups or let downs.”
The 29-year-old singer admitted her own music is heavily influenced by “nostalgia” and she loves the “challenge” of mixing personal moments with catchy pop tracks.
She continued: “I love writing songs because I love preserving memories, like putting a picture frame around a feeling you once had.
“I like to use nostalgia as inspiration when I’m writing songs for the same reason I like to take photographs. I like to be able to remember the extremely good and extremely bad times…
“The fun challenge of writing a pop song is squeezing those evocative details into the catchiest melodic cadence you can possibly think of. I thrive on the challenge of sprinkling personal mementos and shreds of reality into a genre of music that is universally known for being, well, universal.”
Taylor understands why her fans want to hear about her own experiences in their songs.
She said: “I think these days, people are reaching out for connection and comfort in the music they listen to. We like being confided in and hearing someone say, ‘This is what I went through’ as proof to us that we can get through our own struggles. We actually do NOT want our pop music to be generic.
“I think a lot of music lovers want some biographical glimpse into the world of our narrator, a hole in the emotional walls people put up around themselves to survive.
“This glimpse into the artist’s story invites us to connect it to our own, and in the best case scenario, allows us the ability to assign that song to our memories.
“It’s this alliance between a song and our memories of the times it helped us heal, or made us cry, dance, or escape that truly stands the test of time.”

Lena Dunham defends Jordyn Woods

OHMYGOSSIP — Lena Dunham has defended Jordyn Woods after she allegedly kissed Tristan Thompson.
The ‘Girls’ creator doesn’t think the 21-year-old model should be facing “massive public shaming consequences” after reportedly making out with the basketball player boyfriend of Khloe Kardashian, the half-sister of her best friend Kylie Jenner, because people often make mistakes at that age.
Referring to the fact the ‘Life of Kylie’ star’s Kylie Cosmetics company had slashed the price of the ‘Jordy’ Velvet Liquid Lip Kit by 50% over the last few days, Lena tweeted: “Can you imagine if who you’d made out with when you were 21 had massive public shaming consequences?
“When I was 21 I kissed my friend’s crush in my bathroom during a dinner party. I was inexplicably wearing a dog leash. I stayed in bed for days feeling hot shame. That was enough of a consequence! Nobody slashed prices on my eyeliner brand or whatever.”
And the 32-year-old star claimed there ought to be a minimum age for people appearing on reality TV shows.
She quipped: “The legal drinking age is 21. The legal going on TV age should be 26… Just weighing in on the important national issues!”
But the actress stressed that she “loves and respects” the Kardashian family after being accused by another Twitter user of “coming for” them, insisting she was just uneasy with the attention Jordyn was receiving over her “sexual choices”.
She replied: “I’m not coming for the K’s! I love and respect them. It’s just A LOT of media attention on a very young girl’s sexual choices and my heart aches when I see that.”
Jordyn has recorded an interview with Jada Pinkett Smith’s ‘Red Table Talk’, which will air later this week and is expected to tell her side of the story.
And Khloe’s best friend, Malika Haqq recently slammed the former Good American model for trying to “gain pity and save face” after it was claimed Jordyn had told Kylie and her half-sister that she was very drunk when she allegedly made out with Tristan.
Malika wrote on Instagram: “I’ve been wrong before and I’ll be wrong again but I damn sure wouldn’t make excuses (alcohol) in an interview to gain self pity and save face.
“No one in my life would condone that coward like behavior.(sic)”

Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot confirmed

OHMYGOSSIP — Fox have confirmed a reboot of ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ is on the way.
Original stars Jason Priestley (Brandon Walsh), Jennie Garth (Kelly Taylor), Ian Ziering (Steve Sanders), Gabrielle Carteris (Andrea Zuckerman), Brian Austin Green (David Silver ) and Tori Spelling (Donna Martin) have all signed up for a six-episode “event series” but rather than their beloved teen characters, they will play exaggerated versions of themselves.
An official description for the new show states: “Having gone their separate ways since the original series ended 19 years ago, Jason, Jennie, Ian, Gabrielle, Brian and Tori reunite when one of them suggests it’s time to get a ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ reboot up and running.
“But getting it going may make for an even more delicious soap than the reboot itself. What will happen when first loves, old romances, friends and frenemies come back together, as this iconic cast — whom the whole world watched grow up together — attempts to continue from where they left off?”
Fox are “honoured” to be bringing back the old cast for the new show.
Fox Entertainment president Michael Thorn said: “‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ left an indelible impact on pop culture and an entire generation.
“Its powerful legacy is an important part of our network’s DNA — bold stories not told anywhere else and bigger-than-life-characters — and we’re honoured to bring back the beloved original cast members for 90210.”
All six stars will be credited as executive producers on the new show, which will air in summer.
It is currently unclear if any of the other original stars, including Shannen Doherty – who was famously fired from the programme – or Luke Perry, will feature in the series.
The original series aired on Fox from 1990 to 2000. It was revived for five seasons with a new cast from 2008-2013, but a number of the original cast members made guest appearances.

Fred Durst finalises divorce

OHMYGOSSIP — Fred Durst has finalised his divorce.
The Limp Bizkit rocker split from third wife Kseniya Beryazina five months ago after six years of marriage and it seems they have already sorted out the details of their split as, according to documents obtained by The Blast, the pair filed their judgement package with the court earlier this week.
Details of the judgement are not currently available but as the former couple didn’t have any children, there were no arrangements to be made with regards to custody or child support.
However, shortly after the ‘Rollin” hitmaker filed for divorce, Kseniya made a request for spousal support, despite the 48-year-old rocker having indicated in his documents that it wasn’t something he wanted to pay.
It was claimed at the time of the filing that the former couple had agreed that Fred would pay the legal costs of their divorce.
Though it is unclear when the couple split, Kesniya hasn’t been seen wearing her spectacular wedding ring since Instagram posts shared in December 2017.
It was the jewellery that gave away the fact the former couple had got married back in June 2015 as the make-up artist was spotted wearing the huge rock on her wedding finger and it later emerged she and the 48-year-old rocker had actually tied the knot in 2012.
Prior to marrying Kesniya, Fred wed Esther Nazarov in 2009 but they split after just a few months and cited irreconcilable differences in their divorce filing.
The ‘My Way’ hitmaker has a daughter, 28-year-old Adriana, with his first wife, Rachel Tegersen – who he was wed to from 1990 to 1993 – and also has a 17-year-old son, Dallas, from a relationship with actress Jennifer Thayer.

Lady Gaga: Social media is the toilet of the internet

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga thinks social media is the “toilet of the internet”.
The 32-year-old singer has slammed websites like Twitter for allowing people to easily spread misinformation, as she addressed false rumours that she struck up a romance with Bradley Cooper – who is in a relationship with Irina Shayk, with whom he has 23-month-old daughter Lea – on the set of their movie ‘A Star Is Born’.
When asked about the rumours, Gaga – who performed ‘Shallow’ from the movie with Bradley at the Oscars, where the rumours started – simply rolled her eyes, before she said: “First of all, social media, quite frankly, is the toilet of the internet and what it’s done to pop culture is abysmal.
“People saw love and, guess what, that’s what we wanted to you to see. This is a love song. The movie, ‘A Star Is Born’, it’s a love story.”
Gaga insists she and Bradley performed the song in their characters – with Gaga as Ally and Bradley as Jack – because they’re both “artists”, who wanted to give the best performance possible.
Speaking during an appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ on Wednesday (27.02.19), she added: “From a performance perspective, it was so important to both of us that we were connected the entire time. When you’re singing love songs, that’s how you want people to feel.
“I’m an artist! I guess we did a good job. Fooled ya!”
Her comments come after a source also recently slammed romance rumours, stating Bradley, 44, is still “totally secure” in his relationship with Irina.
The insider said: “He is an honest guy and who is in a relationship and everyone has gotten very carried away with the gossip.
“Irina is with him a lot. She comes out all the time and they are really sweet together. Bradley is caring and conscious of her feelings. He doesn’t want Irina to feel uncomfortable and she seems totally secure with their relationship.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlie Heaton says getting to work with his partner Natalia Dyer has brought them closer together.
The ‘Stranger Things’ couple – who play Jonathan Byers and Nancy Wheeler on the hit Netflix series – have gone through “similar trajectories” in life and the 25-year-old actor says being able to share their “insecurities” and stresses from work with one another has been “really f***ing sweet”.
Asked if it has been a good thing having his girlfriend working on the same show as him, he replied: “Yeah, because there are times when you do get stressed.
“So to go home with someone you work with, and say, ‘I think they hate me …’ They’ll say, ‘No they don’t.'”
The ’13 Reasons Why’ star added to V Man magazine: “You can break the walls down with your partner.
“Because we work in the same industry and have had similar trajectories, we’ve gone through it together. “Sharing that does bring you closer.
“They understand something that maybe no one else would.

He said: “The characters have been on a journey, and all of us [as actors] have been on a journey. “Sometimes I’ll get extremely nostalgic for the first season; there was innocence in not knowing what it would become …The trajectory of the last three years happened so quick; you don’t have time to think.
“And when you get a grip of things, you think, yeah I can be in control of my own destiny.”

Andy Cohen has stopped smoking pot now he’s a father

OHMYGOSSIP — Andy Cohen has stopped smoking marijuana since becoming a father.
The 50-year-old presenter welcomed his son Benjamin into the world via a surrogate three weeks ago, and he’s revealed he “hasn’t got time” for pot anymore as he finds its an “uncomfortable” habit to have now he is a parent.
Asked by Howard Stern on his SiriusXM show if he was still smoking, Cohen said: “No … not since the baby.
“I don’t feel comfortable … It’s not the time for that.”
The ‘Watch What Happens Live’ host also revealed that his baby boy has already been circumcised like his father.
He said: “He is circumcised.”
He then quipped: “I have a gorgeous circumcised penis and I wanted him to have the same.”
Andy recently admitted he would be “forever indebted” to his surrogate, who gave him the “ultimate gift” of carrying the child for him.
He said: “[I] worked with an organisation that helps you find the egg donor and the surrogate, and you kind of package the whole process.
“I worked with an incredible surrogate. She was in California. Surrogacy is illegal in so many states, including New York. I don’t understand why. It’s a voluntary process, obviously.
“My surrogate just viewed it as, she was giving me the ultimate gift. She gave me life.
“So I’ll be forever indebted to her.”
The TV star was by his surrogate’s side when she gave birth and “cut the umbilical cord” himself before getting to cuddle his newborn for the first time.
He added: “I was in the delivery room. I had been hoping that he would have a full head of hair, and he really overdelivered.
“That was the first thing you see, the head of hair coming out. And I was amazed.
“He was so alert for the first two hours. His eyes were wide open. He didn’t cry; he was just calm. I kind of have no words for it.”

Aquaman 2 gets December 2022 release date

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘Aquaman’ sequel has been given a release date of December 16, 2022.
Fans of the 2018 box office smash starring Jason Momoa as the titular DC Comics superhero will have to wait two years for the next instalment in the franchise, Warner Bros. has confirmed.
The movie – which became the 21st highest-grossing film of all time – is still on the look out for a director, with James Wan only currently listed as a producer.
David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick – who wrote the first movie with Will Beall – is already onto the script but plot details are being kept secret for the time being.
Wan will be joined by Peter Safran in producing the franchise.
The confirmation of a second movie came after it was reported that a spin-off is in the works.
Following the success of Momoa’s standalone movie, Warner Bros. are considering a new film based on the Trench, the deadly creatures who attacked his character Aquaman and his love Mera.
Noah Gardner and Aidan Fitzgerald are believed to have been hired to work on a horror script about the creatures, while Wan and Safran will produce the project.
The movie is not expected to feature the main ‘Aquaman’ cast – which featured the likes of Nicole Kidman, Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe and Patrick Wilson.
Months before ‘Aquaman’ was released last year, Momoa admitted he already had plans for a sequel for the water-based superhero.
He said: “I definitely have an opinion. Even when we were shooting ‘Aquaman’, I have the opening of ‘Aquaman 2’ ready. I went in and pitched it to Peter Safran, and I pitched it to [Warner Bros. chairman] Toby Emmerich. They loved it. It’s awesome…But yeah, I have plans for ‘Aquaman 2’.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Game of Thrones’ star previously revealed he was excited that the ending of ‘Aquaman’ showed the character “become what he’s destined to be”.
He said: “He was born with the powers but he never really harnessed them, honed them. Obviously this is his whole origin story. We’ve seen him in Justice League, which is maybe two minutes of his old life, so we get to see where he came from. I think when he was a little boy, he had these powers and he didn’t really hone them, so this whole journey of him going to become the king … the last frame of this movie you’re going to see him actually become what he’s destined to be.”

Will Smith exits Suicide Squad sequel?

OHMYGOSSIP — Will Smith has reportedly exited the ‘Suicide Squad’ sequel.
The 50-year-old actor played Deadshot in the 2016 DC ensemble movie which focused on the villains of the popular comic franchise, but according to reports, he won’t be making a return as the character in the upcoming second instalment.
According to Variety, Will’s return had never been made official, but sources tell the publication he’s expected not to return after an issue with scheduling forced him to back out.
The publication claims “the decision was made on amicable terms between both sides with no hard feelings.”
Warner Bros. is yet to confirm any of the returning talent for the planned sequel, but insiders say the studio has always wanted its biggest stars like Will, Jared Leto, and Margot Robbie – who played The Joker and Harley Quinn respectively in the first movie – to return while figuring out other casting decisions along the way.
Meanwhile, James Gunn – who was fired from Marvel movie ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ by Disney over controversial past tweets – is believed to be helming the feature after it was previously revealed he is writing the script.
Sources said at the time that James was keen to “take the film in a new direction with a new cast of characters”, which could have spelled the end for Will Smith and Deadshot.
Production on the follow-up – which has been titled ‘The Suicide Squad’ and is thought to be a reboot of sorts rather than a direct sequel – is planned to start later this year, with the release date for the project currently set for August 2021.

Olly Alexander confirms Jonas Brothers reunion is in the works

OHMYGOSSIP — Olly Alexander has confirmed The Jonas Brothers are in talks for a reunion.
The Years & Years frontman has let slip that the rumours swirling that the ‘When You Look Me In The Eyes’ hitmakers – comprised of siblings Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas – are plotting a comeback are true.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column, Olly spilled: “He did tell me they were reuniting and he was like, ‘You cannot tell anybody’. I was like, ‘OK, I’m keeping your secret, Nick’.”
On whether he plans on getting into the studio with the trio, he said: “Oh my God, I wish! I would do anything I could do to be involved in that. I’m available if he still wants me.”
The pop group are believed to be working on a new documentary and plan to release new music to accompany their show.
A source said recently: “This is going to be one of the
biggest music reunions in years. It’s no secret that things weren’t great by the end of the Jonas Brothers, but blood is thicker than water and they’ve healed their rift in the years since the split.
After enjoying solo music success and taking time to work on passion projects, they feel that now is the right time to get back together.”
Kevin, Joe and Nick flew into London to discuss their plans to create some brand new tunes, which would be the first release since 2009’s ‘Lines, Vines and Trying Times’.
The group were formed in 2005 and were very successful, selling over 20 million records worldwide, but a “deep rift” and “a big disagreement over their music direction” saw the trio cancel their 2013 comeback tour just two days in.
Back in 2015, Joe said a reunion “could easily happen”.
The ‘Cake By The Ocean’ singer shared: “Seeing where things will lead us. It’s easy to say we’re done and that we’re never doing it again, but then we both look at each other and go, ‘We obviously get along.’
And who knows – years from now we could be like, ‘All right, let’s make a record.’ It could easily happen.”

And now, comedian Katherine, 35, has said she’s mortified by the news, because when they appeared on her Comedy Central show ‘Your Face or Mine’ – in which couples have to guess whether the audience think their partner is more or less attractive than other people to win cash – they quickly became her “favourite celebrity couple”.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she said: “I loved Gemma and Arg on the show – they were so cute.
“They were my favourite celebrity couple. I know Gemma wasn’t feeling well that day and I know we’ve heard about Dancing On Ice and her diva antics, but there was none of that.
“She rallied herself, she made her episode very body positive and she was an absolute delight. Their split has ruined my day. It’s devastating.”
During their time on the show, Arg announced he and Gemma once had sex in a broom cupboard, and claimed they’d romped together in “a lot” of strange places.
Katherine – who hosts the show with Jimmy Carr – added: “I continue to think they belong together.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Louis Tomlinson has penned a heartbreaking song about his mother’s death.
The 27-year-old singer tragically lost his mum Johannah Deakin in 2016, when she passed away aged 43 after losing her battle with leukaemia, and on his new single ‘Two of Us’ Louis painfully sings about wishing he was the one who died.

The ‘Just Hold On’ hitmaker recently took to Instagram to share a teaser of the piano-led track, and appeared to share the lyric: “It’s been a minute since I called you.”
The ‘History’ singer has opened up about how penning the song was like therapy for him and he hopes it will help other people going through grieving.
Speaking to House Of Solo magazine, he admitted: “I just feel like, musically, I almost needed to get this song off my chest.
“People say writing is a part of therapy.
“In a way, I feel like I’d been avoiding writing this song because I knew I only had one chance to get it right.
“I don’t mean to be too soppy but if ‘Two Of Us’ can help just one other person who’s going through the tough time I went through, that would make me really happy.”
Louis perviously revealed he turned to Simon Cowell for advice after his mother died.
The ‘X Factor’ judge admitted that he is “really lucky” to be able to turn to the music mogul – who launched One Direction to fame on ‘The X Factor’ – in such tough times.
He said: “He’s one of the people I take advice from and speak to in those moments. I’m really lucky I’ve got such a good relationship with Simon.”
‘Two of Us’ is set to be released on March 7 and is expected to feature on the One Direction star’s debut solo album.

Adam Levine: Yoga’s had a profoundly positive impact on my life

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Levine says yoga has had a “profoundly positive impact” on his life.
The Maroon 5 frontman – who has daughters Dusty, two, and 11-month-old Gio with his wife Behati Prinsloo – is known for his ripped physique and has opened up about the benefits the spiritual exercise has had on his mental well-being.
Alongside a black white snap of him in a pose with his hands behind his back, he wrote on Facebook: “I won’t get too #Namaste on you. But I will say that I feel so fortunate to have found Yoga. The practice is so different deeply personal for any individual that Ive been somewhat hesitant to share what it is to me. However, this time around, I thought I’d offer it up to whoever is listening. It has had such a profoundly positive impact on my life over the years. I have never been pretzel-ish or particularly flexible. And my practice is riddled with mistakes and imperfections. Which is precisely what makes it so powerful. Striving to do better while simultaneously remaining satisfied with where I am. It’s much larger than I am. I just tag along for the ride. Pretty cool. So…thanks Yoga. You’re awesome. (sic)”
The 39-year-old singer previously admitted that the first time he attempted to do yoga, he felt like someone was “ripping” his body apart.
He said: “I’m naturally very tight in lower back and my hips and hamstrings too.
“My first class felt like someone was ripping my body apart.
“It wasn’t what you’d call peaceful. But I was excited by the idea that the more dedicated I became the more effortless it would become to relax and give in to that tightness. Yes, the torture subsided a bit over time.”
The ‘Sugar’ hitmaker – who was crowned PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive in 2013 – keeps his stamina up by partaking in body discipline.
He said: “I have a hard time sitting still.
“I can be all over the map. Yoga has given me the ability to be more focused and make better decisions that come from a clear place.”

Michael Sheen launches helpline for young homeless people

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Sheen has launched Wales’ first out-of-hours helpline for young homeless people.
The 50-year-old actor has helped to create The Youth Homeless Helpline, a free service which is open throughout the night and on weekends, where trained volunteers will provide support and advise and give information on where to find access to safe temporary accommodation.
The ‘Underworld’ star said the key to bringing the project to life was listening to the needs of young people who had experienced rough sleeping.
Speaking to ITV news, he said: “It’s been two years since we got together with a group of young people who had gone through homelessness and we said to them, you’re the experts, you tell us what you need when you’re in your situation with nowhere to go and no one to help you’, and they were the ones who came up with the idea.”
In July 2016, young people in the UK were supported by a range of youth homelessness charities launched after a petition was launched calling for an out-of-hours helpline, and the ‘Frost/Nixon’ actor insisted that the helpline shows how young people who have faced adversity can turn their lives around “with the right sort of support”.
The ‘Passengers’ star continued: “Everyone goes through a crisis at some point in their lives it doesn’t matter who you are or what your circumstances are we all go through different times and we need support.
“The most vulnerable, the most in need of help to see them being able to get a petition going come up with the idea put pressure on politicians in Westminster and get the support.
“It shows what they can do with right sort of support. They can do something that is gonna change countless people’s lives.”
An appeal with donations from Nationwide Building Society and members of the public has raised over £90,000 which will go towards the running of the helpline over the next year.

Deep State returning with second season in May

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Deep State’ will return with a second season in early May.
Fox’s popular espionage series – which doubled the network’s primetime average audience across Europe and Asia – is set to “delve deeper into the murky and political world”, with the powers turning their attention to sub-Saharan Africa in “the first dirty war over clean energy”.
Showrunner Matthew Parkhill – who also created, wrote and directed the first series – said: “My ambition for ‘Deep State’ was to create an intelligent, cinematic and political thriller; a modern-day story that reflects the turbulent times we are all living in.
“This year, we build on the established worlds of London and Washington from season one, and take our audience further behind the curtain of the deep state, introducing new characters and new territories – notably Mali and the epic landscape of the Sahara Desert, the land of the Tuareg people.
“A new frontier for the deep state, as it seeks ever greater profits from orchestrated and curated chaos. The lines between the political and emotional lives of each character continue to blur and we are thrilled to be telling this new story with such a diverse and talented cast.”
