Jonah Hill helped by directors

OHMYGOSSIP — Jonah Hill has praised Martin Scorsese as being “beyond helpful” in offering directorial advice.
The ’21 Jump Street’ actor has moved behind the camera for the first time with ‘Mid90s’ and he spent hours talking about the project with his ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ director, who also approved the use of a brief scene from ‘Goodfellas’ in Jonah’s movie.
He said: “I cashed in all my chips. We spent about four hours at his house in New York talking about the film.
“He was beyond helpful.”
And Scorsese wasn’t the only director who the 35-year-old star turned to for advice as he also spoke to ‘Hail, Caesar!’ filmmaker Ethan Coen, who told him to embrace the experience.
He recalled to Empire magazine: “Ethan said, ‘I was so stressed making my first movie, I didn’t enjoy any of it.’ ”
Jonah decided to direct the movie thanks to some encouragement from his friend Spike Jonze after they saw ‘Whiplash’ together, which was directed by Damien Chazelle, who was 28 at the time.
He said: “[Spike was like], ‘Man that guy’s younger than you! You’re always saying you want to be a director – get to work.’ ”
When it came to making ‘Mid90s’ – which is about a young teenager who befriends a group of older skateboarders – Jonah was hugely inspired by Shane Meadows’ ‘This Is England’.
He explained: “I am obsessed with Shane Meadows. ‘This Is England’ is one of my favourite films.
“I didn’t know anything about skinheads in England. He handled a very specific subculture I didn’t know about and it didn’t matter, it was about this kid and his life experience.”
And it was the only film he showed to his cast, including lead actor Sunny Suljic, ahead of filming.
He added: “Sunny was 11 when he was cast. I don’t think he knew acting that could be that natural.”

Andy Serkis cast in Mouse Guard

OHMYGOSSIP — Andy Serkis has been cast alongside Thomas Brodie-Sangster in ‘Mouse Guard’.
The 54-year-old actor – who is particularly well-known for his performance-capture roles – has signed on to star in Fox’s adaptation of the popular indie comic, which will see him work with director Wes Ball.
The film – which is set in a medieval world – will tell the story of an order of mice who are the sworn protectors of their realm.
Serkis will star as the villain, according to The Hollywood Reporter, which explains that Brodie-Sangster will play the role of Lieam, who has to prove his bravery throughout the movie.
Production work on ‘Mouse Guard’ is expected to begin in May.
Meanwhile, Serkis previously insisted he isn’t motivated by accolades.
The actor said he is simply determined to make the best movies he can possibly make, rather than trying to chase accolades.
He shared: “We don’t make films to win awards, it’s very lovely if it comes along.
“But for me the reward is fulfilling a vision and being in a privileged position to make a film … where you’re going to be sharing it with an audience and hopefully in some small way, changing the perception of humanity.”
Serkis insisted he isn’t driven by praise or adulation.
He added: “It’s lovely when you get an accolade but it really isn’t the ambition of what you set out to do, so if it comes along then great but if not then it doesn’t bother me.”

Jake Shears can’t listen to some early Scissor Sisters songs

OHMYGOSSIP — Jake Shears “sometimes finds it hard” to listen to songs from the first Scissor Sisters album because he’s unhappy with the recordings.
This year will mark the 15th anniversary of the glam rock group’s self-titled debut album and although that LP will always “hold a special place in his heart” Jake admits some of the production on the tracks “gives him the willies”.
Jake – who, along with his bandmates, decided to disband Scissor Sisters in 2012 – said: “I love that album, sometimes it’s hard for me to hear those songs – the production makes some of them sound like absolute s**t. Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a total music nerd, so I’m obsessed with production. Some of the mixing and production choices gives me the willies a little bit, but it still holds a special place in my heart.”
The ‘Creep City’ singer believes that the 2004 album – which was a global hit – was so successful because the group didn’t have “any massive ambitions” for it and all the music came from “the heart”.
In an interview with Australian website Music Feeds, he said: “That album represents so much to me. There’s a sweet, naive freedom to it. Those songs were written for the pure joy of writing them. We didn’t have any massive ambitions, we were just having a good time and making stuff from the heart. That’s one of the reasons it still holds up, and that’s why it’s still special to me.”
Jake released his eponymous solo debut album in August 2018 and although he loves creating music he has to feel the rush of inspiration to write songs.
He said: “I love making music, I love writing and I love performing, but there has to be inspiration. There’s gotta be a ‘Why?’ You know?
“What’s the point of it? It wasn’t until I felt like I had something to say and I finally started writing some good songs that my perspective changed. ”

Dina Lohan: Me and my mystery man are just ‘good friends’

OHMYGOSSIP — Dina Lohan has claimed she’s just “good friends” with the mystery man she’s been talking to for five years.
The 56-year-old television personality – who is the mother of Lindsay Lohan – has been speaking to Jesse Nadler over the phone for half a decade after the pair met on Facebook, but despite Jesse himself recently expressing a wish to marry Dina, she’s now said they’re just “really good friends”.
She said: “He’s my friend, we’re like really good friends. He’s an amazing guy and we’re good friends.”
But although she refused to label their relationship, she did admit she shares Jesse’s marriage plans, despite the fact they’ve never met face to face.
Speaking during an appearance on ‘The Wendy Williams Show’, Dina said: “When you know, you just know.”
Her comments come after Jesse recently said he wants to tie the knot with Dina because the pair have “amazing chemistry”.
He said: “I am going to marry the girl; I know it’s crazy because we haven’t met. But we have amazing chemistry.
“We get on the phone and talk about everything under the moon. She’s talked to my mother, my niece!”
The ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star detailed her relationship with Jesse earlier this year on the reality show which led to a hoard of online rumours claiming Dina’s boyfriend was pretending to be someone he isn’t – however Jesse is adamant that he’s not a “catfish”.
He explained: “I’m not a catfish and fake guy who steals photos, I didn’t like the term ‘catfish.’ Anyone who cons people, who creates false personas and photos rubs me the wrong way and really upsets me.
“I’m a good guy. I’m the real deal. Just the thought of people thinking I could be a catfish when everyone knows me and knows how hard I work and how I respect women and mothers, it just kills me.”

Joe Jonas ‘mad’ at Sophie Turner for spoiling Game of Thrones

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Jonas is “so mad” at Sophie Turner after she told him the ending to ‘Game of Thrones’.
The 29-year-old singer is a huge fan of the HBO fantasy drama, so when his fiancée Sophie – who plays Sansa Stark on the show – spoiled the ending of the upcoming final season for him, Sophie says he was angry with her.
Speaking to Glamour magazine, she said: “I’ve just told Joe [Jonas]. But he’s so mad at me – he loves the show! Well, I have to tell someone, otherwise I’ll burst.”
And 23-year-old Sophie isn’t the only person to have ruined the show for their loved ones, as her on-screen brother Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow, recently revealed his wife Rose Leslie – who previously appeared on the show as his on-screen lover Ygritte, before departing in season four – refused to speak to him for “three days” after he told her key plot spoilers.
Kit said: “I told my wife last year how it ended, and she wouldn’t talk to me for about three days. And she’d asked!”
Rose later clarified his comments by insisting he spoiled the ending to the show’s seventh season, rather than the upcoming eighth and final one.
She said: “I genuinely don’t know the ending [of the show]. He told me the ending of last season and I remember getting a bit uppity about that … He happened to tell me – and this is a spoiler for anybody who hasn’t seen the last season – he happened to tell me that one of the dragons fall into the ice lake, and then we see the dragon being dragged out of the water and the dragon breathes fire – or ice, I can’t quite remember which one it is, I think it’s fire – onto The Wall, and then, of course, that’s when all the [Army of the Dead] can then cross over.
“So he told me about the dragon and I got rather livid with him, because I said, ‘You weren’t supposed to tell me everything! And that’s a huge piece of information!’ And he’s like, ‘Well, you asked!’ And I was like, ‘I know.'”

Jess Weixler welcomes first child

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Good Wife’ star Jess Weixler has become a mom.
The 37-year-old actress – who portrayed Robyn Burdine in the hit crime drama series – has revealed she welcomed a baby daughter named Beatrice Danger Brocklebank into the world, her first child with husband Hamish Brocklebank.
Announcing their happy news, Jess took to Instagram to share a sweet picture of her cradling the little one in bed with her husband taking a snooze next to them, and captioned the post: “Welcome to the world Beatrice Danger Brocklebank. I mean… (sic).”
Jess has documented her pregnancy on the social media app and in January she had a surprise baby shower.
The get-together was attended by her ‘It: Chapter Two’ co-star Jessica Chastain, who has 11-month-old daughter Giulietta with husband Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo, and no doubt passed on some advice on motherhood as the ‘Entanglement’ star thanked her guests for imparting their words of of wisdom.
Alongside a series of pictures from the party, Jess wrote: “My friends… ugh my friends they threw me the most gorgeous/adorable baby shower. Epic cuteness, safari themed and all. I love you guys. I feel so filled to the brim with all your words whispered into my ear. @nicolebayme (who decorated the extravaganza) is missing from the group pic because Phoenix was owed her nap. The couple announced they were expecting a child in November, when Jess was six months into her pregnancy, with the actress joking that she had eaten a lot of pizza.
She captioned a snap of her holding her bonny bump: “Just had some pizza (6 months),”
Jess and Hamish, a businessman from the UK, got married in December 2015.
The couple went for a less traditional ceremony on a beach, with Hamish opting for a coral pink suit.
Alongside a picture from their special day, which saw the couple tie the knot barefoot, Jess wrote: “A lot of love on that beach.”

Riverdale’s KJ Apa breaks silence on Luke Perry’s death

OHMYGOSSIP — KJ Apa has broken his silence on the death of his on-screen father Luke Perry.
The ‘Riverdale’ star plays the late star’s alter-ego Fred Andrew’s son Archie Andrews in the CW drama, and he took to Instagram on Thursday (07.03.19) to pay his respects to his co-star, who sadly passed away on Monday (04.03.19) at the age of 52, just days after suffering a stroke.
Alongside a touching picture of Luke smiling whilst on a boat, he simply wrote: “Rest in Love bro. (sic)”
Skeet Ulrich – who played FP Jones in ‘Riverdale’ – added to the comments of KJ’s post: “Never forgotten … always with us.”
Earlier in the day, the ‘A Dog’s Purpose’ actor shared on his Instagram Story that he was listening to the song ‘The Background’ by Third Eye Blind, which features the heartbreaking lyrics: “Everything is quiet/Since you’re not around/And I live in the numbness now/In the background.”
Cole Sprouse – who portrays Jughead Jones – recently paid a touching tribute to Luke, saying California was “crying now” after his passing.
He said: “There’s a thousand things. All of us are — I don’t think there was a single bad thing I’ve ever heard said about that guy, truly. He is so loved. California is crying right now.”
Wednesday night’s (06.03.19) episode of ‘Riverdale’, the first since Luke’s passing, paid tribute to the actor.
At the end of the teen series, a black screen featured a dedication to Luke, which read: “In Memoriam Luke Perry 1966-2019.”
And the show’s creator, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, vowed to dedicate all future ‘Riverdale’ episodes to Luke, too.
He wrote: “Going through pictures on my way to set. From the early days. With Luke in the middle. Our heart, always. Tonight’s episode of #Riverdale finds Fred doing what he does best–helping Archie. It is dedicated to Luke, as all episodes will be for the rest of our run. (sic)”
The episode featured Luke’s character, who heroically came to his son Archie’s (KJ) rescue when he was being attacked in their home.
Production on the show was temporarily halted on Monday and Tuesday (05.03.19) to give stars time to grieve.
The show was renewed for a fourth series in January, but it is not yet known how the plot will be changed following Luke’s shock death.
‘Riverdale’ executive producers Roberto, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Jon Goldwater, along with producer Warner Bros. TV and The CW, said in a joint statement: “We are deeply saddened to learn today about the passing of Luke Perry. A beloved member of the ‘Riverdale’, Warner Bros. and CW family.
“Luke was everything you would hope he would be: an incredibly caring, consummate professional with a giant heart, and a true friend to all. A father figure and mentor to the show’s young cast.
“Luke was incredibly generous, and he infused the set with love and kindness. Our thoughts are with Luke’s family during this most difficult time.”

Corey Feldman: I can no longer defend Michael Jackson

OHMYGOSSIP — Corey Feldman says he can “no longer” defend Michael Jackson.
The 47-year-old actor insists he cannot argue in favour of the late King of Pop after he was accused of “horrendous crimes” on recent documentary ‘Leaving Neverland’ – on which Wade Robson, 36, and James Safechuck, 40, alleged Michael sexually abused them when they were children – but Corey insists he does not want to “judge” the ‘Bad’ hitmaker because he “did not do those things to me”.
He said: “I don’t want to be perceived as I’m here to defend Michael Jackson, because I can no longer do that. I cannot in good consciousness defend anyone who’s being accused of such horrendous crimes.
“I’m also not here to judge him, because again, he did not do those things to me and that was not my experience.”
The former child star says Michael was like a “friend” and “big brother” to him, but he now feels it is “impossible” for him to “not listen to what the victims are saying”.
Asking people to put themselves into his shoes, Corey – who was abused as a child – said: “You’re a kid who has endured sexual abuse and during those times, I’m looking to somebody like Michael Jackson as a friend, as a big brother figure. And he was that person to me, however, as you’re friends with this guy, all of a sudden you start to hear more and more accusations thrown around by various people.
“It comes to a point where as an advocate for victims, as an advocate for changing the statutes of limitations to make sure that victims’ voices are heard, it becomes impossible for me to stay virtuous and not at least consider what’s being said and not listen to what the victims are saying.”
The ‘Lost Boys’ star was only able to watch half of ‘Leaving Neverland’, and admits it was “very painful” to sit through.
Speaking to CNN’s ‘Headline News’, he added: “To be honest with you, it was very emotional, it was very painful, and I couldn’t watch all of it.”
Corey’s comments come after Michael Jackson’s nephew Taj Jackson recently claimed his late uncle would have been left in tears over the child sex abuse allegations made against him in the ‘Leaving Neverland’ doc.
Taj insists Wade and James – who both testified under oath that Michael never touched them in a sexual way during his 2005 child molestation trial, which ended with him being acquitted of all charges – will both be proven to be lying about his uncle in the future.
In an interview on BBC Radio 1’s Newsbeat, he said: “I think it’s temporary in terms of the stain. First of all I believe the truth will come out. It might take some time.
“There’s been cases when someone has been labelled something and then 10 years later you find out the truth.”

Demi Lovato sends herself flowers following Henry Levy split

OHMYGOSSIP — Demi Lovato has sent herself flowers and an inspiring note following her split from Henry Levy.
The 26-year-old singer tried out some “self-love” this week when she had a beautiful bouquet of roses sent to herself after she and the fashion designer – who had been dating for several months – went their separate ways recently.
Demi took to her Instagram Stories to share a picture of her flowers and the accompanying card.
She wrote: “Cause sometimes you gotta send yourself flowers… #selflove (sic)”
The note read: “You’re beautiful, you’re loved and you’re worthy of a happy and healthy life.”
Demi is clearly a huge fan of roses as earlier this week she shared a picture of her latest tattoo, a design of the flower on her index finger.
She simply captioned the picture: “Hi [rose emoji]”
On Wednesday (06.03.19), it was reported Demi and Henry had decided to remain friends rather than taking things further romantically.
The pair had remained quiet about their relationship status, but were spotted kissing and holding hands in December.
In the same month, Demi admitted she was “sober and grateful to be alive” following her previous overdose.
She wrote on Twitter: “If I feel like the world needs to know something, I will tell them MYSELF. Otherwise people stop writing about my recovery, because it’s no one’s business but mine. I am sober and grateful to be alive and taking care of ME. Someday I’ll tell the world what exactly happened, why it happened and what my life is like today.. but until I’m ready to share that with people please stop prying and making up s**t that you know nothing about. I still need space and time to heal..
“I would love to set the record straight on all the rumors out there but I literally don’t owe anyone anything so I’m not going to. All my fans need to know is I’m working hard on myself, I’m happy and clean and I’m SO grateful for their support. I’m so blessed I get to take this time to be with family, relax, work on my mind, body and soul and come back when I’m ready. I have my fans to thank for that. I’m so grateful, truly. I love you guys so f***ing much thank you (sic).”

Gemma Collins is ‘sort of’ in love with James Argent

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins says she is “sort of” in love with James Argent but is “sick of blokes”.
The 38-year-old reality TV star admitted that while their on/off relationship is “complicated” and their work life “gets in the way” at times, she loves Arg “very much”.
She says: “It’s complicated, yeah. I’m sick of blokes. I’m sick of them. I’ve just had enough to be honest.
“My mum and dad have been married 45 years. I do love the person I am with very much but sometimes our work life gets in the way.
“We just went on a romantic trip to Paris and then paps turned up, he didn’t arrange it but we really needed some time out and it kind of killed the trip.
“It’s just hard sometimes but you never know what’s going to happen, things could be alright in the end.”
Gemma is planning to take tips from Harry Redknapp and his wife Sandra – who have been married for 52 years – and joked they should set up a training school to coach people on “young love”.
When asked if she is in love with anyone at the moment, she replies: “Sort of and not sort of … I’m going to get some lessons from Harry and Sandra.
“[They] should set up a training school for young love.
“It’s just so nice to see that long withstanding love.”
Gemma has recently been competing on ‘Dancing on Ice’ but this week she vowed to boycott Sunday’s (10.03.19) final after judge Jason Gardiner compared her to a “refrigerator” in a live TV interview – but she now claims she will show up on the night alongside her fellow contestants.
Speaking on this Saturday’s (09.03.19) ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’, she says: “I did pull out and then I thought, to everyone that has supported me, for my own self esteem, ‘I am not going to back down to anybody. I am going to walk back in on that show on Sunday night and I am going to skate like it’s the last day of my life.’ ”
‘The Jonathan Ross Show’ airs on Saturday at 9.20pm on ITV.

Stephen Mulhern lands another game show on ITV

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephen Mulhern has landed another game show on ITV.
The 41-year-old TV star, who already hosts ‘In For A Penny’, a spin-off of his popular segment on ‘Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway’, and ‘Britain’s Got More Talent’, has teamed up with Simon Cowell’s Syco and OTT Productions for a new show titled ‘Rollin’ In It.
The arcade-style programme will see famous faces, and potentially some of the 59-year-old ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ and ‘X Factor’ honcho’s showbiz friends, compete with a member of the audience in a giant spinning-coin game, with the chance to bag thousands of pounds.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “Producers have come up with a fun game-show format, which incorporates the glamour of celebs, as well as the excitement of punters winning big cash prizes.
“They’re hoping the nostalgia of arcade games will strike a chord with viewers and are planning a mainstream slot for it.
“While Simon is taking a back-seat role, he may help rope in some of his famous pals.”
Stephen recently admitted that he laughed more filming ‘In For A Penny’, which gives members of the public the chance to win £1,000, than any other series he has done.
He said: “I have absolutely loved filming this show. I don’t think I have ever laughed so much filming a series and it was all down to the Great British public, they are the real stars.
“I’ve been privileged to meet some of the most amazing people up and down the country and now the viewers will get to see just how funny and entertaining they are.”
Ant and Dec, who co-created the format, said on Stephen landing his spin-off: “It was always a highlight for us to watch this segment on ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’ and we are delighted it’s now become a series.
“Stephen is the perfect host, his warmth, wit and all-round humour mixed with the great British public, who are not only brilliant but are also unfazed when a man in a sparkly jacket appears and asks them to take part in ridiculous games.
“It makes for some fantastically funny TV.”
Games on ‘In For A Penny’ include Pump it Up, where the ‘Catchphrase’ host offers to pay for petrol if a driver can deliver the exact amount they had decided on beforehand in two trials.
Check it Out involves shoppers guessing whether goods running on a conveyor belt are more or less expensive than the previous item in a bid to win some free shopping.
‘Rollin In It’ is set to hit screens later this year.

Downton Abbey 2 in the offing?

OHMYGOSSIP — A second ‘Downton Abbey’ film could be made if the first film proves successful.
Universal Pictures, Focus Features and Carnival Film & Television bosses are set to watch the latest cut of the hotly-anticipated movie, which is due to be released on September 13th, but some have already had a sneak preview and are said to have been impressed.
A source told the Daily Mail newspaper that the studios are exploring the possibility of a second movie should the initial motion picture – a big screen adaptation of the popular TV series – prove a ratings success.
Another film would also depend on whether the cast – who include Hugh Bonneville and Elizabeth McGovern as husband and wife Lord Grantham and Lady Cora – could be brought together again.
Allen Leech will reprise his role as Thomas Branson in the movie, which is written and co-produced by Julian Fellowes – who created the TV series – and he has teased fans to expect a tear-jerker.
He said: “It’s Julian – you’re going to have tears. He’s never too saccharine-sweet, so be prepared for everything.”
The ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ star also admitted he was “surprised” by the plot Julian chose, but praised him for finding a fitting story for all 22 members of the cast.
Allen said: “I was very surprised about the angle that Julian went with.
“But then again, I was also amazed that he managed to get the entire 22-[member] cast to have their own story within the contained two-hour movie.
“He’s done an amazing job.”
Other stars who will appear in the movie include Michelle Dockery and Laura Carmichael, who play Lord and Lady Grantham’s daughters Lady Mary and Lady Edith respectively.
What’s more, Jim Carter will be back as Charles Carson, Brendan Coyle will play John Bates on the big screen, and Joanne Froggatt will star as Anna Bates again.

Emma Atkins ‘honoured’ to star in Emmerdale’s Women’s Day episode

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Atkins felt “honoured” to play a role in Emmerdale’s International Women’s Day episode.
The 43-year-old actress will appear in tonight’s (08.03.19) special, which will feature an all-female cast and has been filmed by an all-female crew, to mark today’s celebration, and she found it “interesting” to see all of the women on the cast and crew working together.
Emma – who plays Charity Dingle on the ITV soap – said: “Charity is on a mission in this episode, and although I can’t give anything away about her scenes, they will have a significant impact going forward.
“I really enjoyed filming these scenes as they were beautifully written and I was honoured to play a role in this episode.
“We work with a fabulous team, day in and day out, on ‘Emmerdale’ so it was interesting they pooled all the female crew and cast into one team.”
The special episode will follow almost every female ‘Emmerdale’ character as their individual stories play out, and Lucy Pargeter (Chas Dingle) loved working alongside Charlotte Bellamy (Laurel Thomas), because the pair’s characters don’t usually “make time for each other”.
She said: “The episode essentially deals with female stories across different ages from little April upwards.
“My character Chas bonds with Laurel over some news she has, they are not two characters who normally make time for each other so it was lovely working with Charlotte.”
Charlotte added: “We have a fantastic and inclusive team at Emmerdale and this episode hopefully will be a great opportunity for us to showcase some of the positions available behind the scenes to both men and women within the television industry.
“We have a fantastic cast on the show, but it was lovely to have an episode that concentrated only on the female characters.”

Ed Sheeran to open music bar in London

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran is reportedly set to open a live music bar/restaurant in West London.
The 28-year-old superstar – who is estimated to be worth £80 million – has purchased the Spanish eatery Galicia, situated in the bustling and opulent Portobello Road, with his long-time manager Stuart Camp.
The pair are hoping to have the exclusive venue, which is to be a private member’s club, “ready by the end of April”.
A source from the area told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Builders are hard at work making over the venue so it will be ready by the end of April.
“The name is up in the air, as locals liked Galicia, but Ed is keen to put his own stamp on it.
The duo want it to have a cool members’ club vibe, with a shabby-chic style and a focus on quality music.”
The insider claims Ed – who secretly tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart Cherry Seaborn at their home in Suffolk in December – wants the bar, which is near to his other house in Notting Hill, to become his local boozer so he can escape from “selfie-hunters”.
They added: “The idea is to have an understated opening with an edgy crowd.
“Ed wants it to be his local and doesn’t want to be inundated with selfie-hunters and fans.”
The singer/songwriter is believed to be considering calling the venue ‘Castle on the Hill’ in a tribute to his 2017 hit about Framlingham Castle in Suffolk, where he shares a sprawling estate with his wife.
It was recently reported that the Grammy-winner is adding a football pitch and a private beach to the property, which already boasts an underground pub.
Ed was reportedly granted planning permission from his local council to make some improvements to the garden, which will also include a greenhouse and fire pits.
Local residents had no objections but they have asked that any outside lights are turned off by midnight.
A source said: “Ed might be a global superstar but he’s a simple lad who loves his football. His idea of a good time is a kick-about with his pals – and his big pitch he’ll be able to do that in the comfort of his own home.”
