Brooklyn Beckham lands filming job on David Attenborough series Our Planet

OHMYGOSSIP — Brooklyn Beckham has landed a new job filming Sir David Attenborough’s ‘Our Planet’.
The 20-year-old star – who is the son of showbiz power couple David and Victoria Beckham – has jetted out to the Masai Mara game reserve in Kenya to shoot the new show, which launched last week, and is said to have had the “time of his life”.
A source close to Brooklyn told the Mail on Sunday newspaper: “He had the time of his life.
“He couldn’t believe that he was given such an opportunity.”
Brooklyn – who has siblings Romeo, 16, Cruz, 14, and seven-year-old Harper Beckham – went to Africa to film behind-the-scenes pieces for the ‘From Deserts To Grasslands’ episodes of the eight-part documentary series.
It is thought Brooklyn was asked to participate in the series because the 92-year-old broadcaster and the WWF thought he would be the perfect choice for someone who could get youngsters involved in saving the planet.
David posted on his own Instagram message to congratulate his son for his achievements, writing: “Amazing, what a trip.”
Victoria recently revealed their children didn’t want to let their father down when they decided they didn’t want to become soccer players.
She previously said: “All three boys used to have contracts with Arsenal.
“Brooklyn was the first to say he didn’t want to play anymore. And then Romeo decided he didn’t want to do it either.
“I remember Romeo sitting in the bath getting really upset saying, ‘I don’t want to let Daddy down’. So I told him daddy just wants you to be happy. And now he’s playing tennis. Every day.”

Michael Jackson biographer says Leaving Neverland ‘discrepancy’ changes film’s narrative

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Jackson biographer Mike Smallcombe says the major “discrepancy” in James Safechuck’s abuse claims in the ‘Leaving Neverland’ documentary “changes the entire narrative the film is trying to give” viewers.
In Dan Reed’s film, James described how he was allegedly sexually assaulted by Michael at his Neverland ranch until the age of 14 between 1988 and 1992 after the singer befriended him after they starred in a Pepsi commercial together.
Among the locations where he claims the assaults took place is the train station at Neverland.
However, Mike – who penned the book ‘Making Michael: Inside the Career of Michael Jackson’ – has found the construction permit issued on September 2, 1993, which states that construction work on the train station did not begin until after that date and did not open until 1994.
The film’s director Dan Reed accepted the validity of the station construction date in the permit but explained away the discrepancy by claiming the date that is wrong “is the end of the abuse” but Mike insists his discovery throws doubt on all of James’ allegations.
Speaking to Australian breakfast TV show ‘Sunrise’, the journalist-and-writer said: “I can’t say for sure that James Safechuck and Wade Robson are lying about the entire thing, but what I can say is that at least three aspects of their allegations that are featured in that documentary are provably untrue. The train station claim from James Safechuck being the big one. He alleges that the abuse went from 1988 to 1992 and he said during the documentary that he was abused at the Neverland train station, he went into great detail about how it happened in a room upstairs in that train station, it wasn’t just a fleeting comment in that documentary it was a big part of it and it can now be proven through documents and photos that the train station didn’t open until mid-1994 so that’s a real two-year discrepancy there. It’s not just a case of a dates being mixed up.
“Michael Jackson spent the whole year of 1994 living in New York City to get away from Santa Barbara because of the [Jordy Chandler] allegations and the DA going after him and also to record an album in New York, he moved there because of an earthquake as well and he was a bit scared to record in the LA area as well. But the point is by the time Safechuck would’ve been at Neverland again he would have been 17 or 18 years old so that changes the entire narrative that the film is trying to give us that Jackson lost interest in young boys once they hit puberty and, of course, Safechuck himself said the abuse ended when he was 14. It’s not just a small matter it changes the entire narrative of that whole documentary, it’s a big deal.”
Mike admits he was “surprised” that filmmaker Dan chose to casually deal with the information he had uncovered in a seemingly flippant manner on Twitter when it is such a key part of James’ story.
He added: “It surprised me that he did on Twitter in the way that he did, just a fleeting reply to me, it’s crazy that he did it on Twitter. But it didn’t surprise me [that he accepted it] because it’s undeniable, he can’t deny the discrepancy there, he had to agree that the dates were wrong.”
Mike also uncovered evidence that Wade Robson’s timeline of events in his allegations of sex abuse at the hands of the ‘Thriller’ singer were disproved by his own mother in historic court documents.
The choreographer alleges in the HBO documentary that the late King of Pop – who died in 2009 at the age of 50 – that the abuse started from the first time he and his family visited Neverland when he was just seven years old when his sister and parents went to visit the Grand Canyon leaving him alone with the musician for five days.
However, Mike discovered a court testimony from 1993 in which his mother Joy stating that Wade did join them on their trip.
Mike insists during all the time he spent interviewing over 60 of Jackson’s associates including managers, lawyers, music executives, producers, musicians and engineers for his book and all the research he carried out he never discovered anything that would lead him to “believe he did these things”.
He said: “I’ve never come across anything that would make me believe Michael did these things. I can’t for sure that he’s innocent, of course, but I’d like to believe that he is and I’ve certainly never seen any cold, hard evidence to suggest that he’s ever done anything like that through the years.”

Kylie Jenner is focusing ‘on the good’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Jenner is “focusing on the good” in the wake of her best friend Jordyn Woods’ cheating scandal.
The 21-year-old reality star cut ties with the model after she allegedly locked lips with Tristan Thompson – the then-boyfriend of Kylie’s half-sister Khloe Kardashian – at a party, and has now said she’s focusing on the good things in her life like her relationship with Travis Scott and their 14-month-old daughter Stormi, instead of letting the negatives get to her.
She wrote on Instagram: “When you focus on the good, the good gets better.
“Grow through, what you go through. (sic)”
Meanwhile, it was recently claimed the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star had been seeking out a wider circle of friends following the controversy surrounding Jordyn, also 21, who has moved out of the house she shared with her pal.
A source said: “Kylie has had a rough few weeks. She is still upset about the Jordyn situation, although she seems to be doing much better.
“She has been socialising more and trying to find a bigger circle of friends that she can be close with. After the Jordyn drama, she realised that relying on just one friend is not the best idea.”
But insiders have also insisted none of Kylie’s family have pressured her to end her friendship with the model.
A source said: “It’s still a tricky situation for Kylie. And no one is actually putting too much pressure on her. Her family is aware that she is in contact with Jordyn. They are letting Kylie figure things out for herself.”
However, Kylie was recently seen having breakfast with Jordyn, suggesting the pair could be looking to patch up their friendship.

Bethenny Frankel has ‘sad days’ following the death of Dennis Shields

OHMYGOSSIP — Bethenny Frankel still has “sad days” following the death of her on-off boyfriend Dennis Shields.
The 48-year-old reality star was left heartbroken when her on-off partner – whom she was not in a relationship with at the time – was found dead at his Trump Towers apartment in August last year at the age of 51.
And now, she’s said that whilst she is about to “talk about him a lot” now that the initial shock has worn off, she still has says where she finds herself overcome with grief.
She said: “I loved Dennis, and we talk about him a lot now, more [now] that the dust has settled. And grief is, like, it’s a crisis in and of itself, and we’re trying to survive and trying to feel, and you just wanna make yourself feel better in any way that you can. And now that months have gone by, I’ll have sad days.”
The ‘Real Housewives of New York City’ star has a constant reminder of Dennis in her two dogs Biggie and Smallz, as he was “obsessed” with the pooches.
She added to Us Weekly magazine: “My dogs Biggie and Smallz, he made me get both, he named them and he was obsessed with them. So, he would be laughing. We were talking this morning about the fact that he’d be laughing that they’re now [social media] stars.”
Meanwhile, Bethenny previously said she was “going through an emotional storm” following Dennis’ passing.
She said: “The work I am doing for hurricane relief is a good outlet, but I’m trying to not get too immersed and not avoid the grieving process and feeling. I am going through an emotional storm and must go through and not around it.
“People are suffering way more than I am. People have helped me get through my despair with their love and inspiration and now it is my turn.”

Cardi B: Being a mother is hard

OHMYGOSSIP — Cardi B says being a mother is the “hardest challenge ever”.
The 26-year-old rapper gave birth to her first child Kulture Kiari – whom she has with her partner Offset – eight months ago, and has said that whilst she originally thought it would be “easy” to be a mother, she’s finding it a lot harder than expected.
She said: “It’s very hard. It’s like the hardest challenge ever. I don’t even like talking about it. I really don’t like talking about it because it’s, like, very hard. For example, I haven’t seen my baby now in two days because I was in Vegas, now I’m here. And it’s just hard because I be like, damn, will she forget about me, like, in two days?
“When I was pregnant, I used to be like, it’s gonna be easy. I’m just gonna hire a nanny and my baby’s gonna come with me everywhere. But it’s like once you have the baby, it’s hard to get a nanny because you don’t trust nobody with your kid! And then it’s like, OK, my mom is helping me and sister helps me take care of [Kulture], but, like, my mom do not want to go from city to city, two and three cities in less than 72 hours.”
The ‘I Like It’ rapper is finding parenting even more difficult lately as she and Offset are both on hectic schedules, making it hard for them to both be there for their tot.
Speaking at Beautycon Festival, she said: “On top of that, me and her dad, we’re always in different places. Like I used to think, oh we gonna be in this house in Atlanta, big this, big that, but we haven’t even been in our house for, like, two months! And we chasing the bag. And we be sad as hell, but we be you know what? She will be all good because she’s gonna have a lambo when she be like 18.”

P. Diddy: Stop killing each other

OHMYGOSSIP — P. Diddy has urged people to stop “killing each other”.
The 49-year-old rapper – whose real names is Sean Combs – has taken to Instagram to tell his fans to stop being at war with themselves, and begin taking responsibility for their actions, in what appeared to be a tribute to late rapper Nipsey Hussle, who was shot and killed outside of his Los Angeles clothing store on March 31.
Diddy didn’t mention Nipsey by name in his 7-minute video, but did include a tribute to the rapper in the form of a video from a memorial service in Los Angeles as well as a Wall Street Journal cover dedicated to the 33 year old, which read “Rapper Wanted His Fans to Learn Job Skills.”
In his video, Diddy said: “Enough is enough. We have acquired too much knowledge to be in the situations that we’re in. First of all, none of us are alone. We came as a tribe. We are a tribe. We’re killing each other. We hate on each other, we give negative thoughts to each other, we don’t know how to support each other.
“I’m just speaking from my heart that enough is enough. Killing somebody, us hurting people, us not treating our women like they’re queens … We’re not understanding the beauty of life, we’re not understanding how we’re brought up as far as love, as far as peace. And we haven’t had no peace.”
The ‘I’ll Be Missing You’ hitmaker then went on to encourage his fans to “fight back against the ignorance” of other people by using “love”.
He added: “We so special. We can make it out of this, we gotta make it out of this with love. It’s not complicated. We gotta make it out of this with love and we gotta fight back. But first we gotta fight back amongst the ignorance and lack of love that we have for each other as brothers and sisters.”

Montana Brown shares eulogy to ‘misunderstood’ Mike Thalassitis

OHMYGOSSIP — Montana Brown says Mike Thalassitis was “misunderstood” and would have “exhausted every avenue to avoid” taking his own life.
The 23-year-old reality star has shared part of the emotional eulogy she read at the funeral of her late pal, which took place at Christ Church in Southgate, north London, last week after he was found dead in woodland last month, and says he must have been “in such a dark place which we will never really understand”.
She wrote on Instagram: “Taking my hat off to big M in the sky for those of you who are asking to see my Eulogy… here’s just a bit of it. (sic)”
Montana – who met Mike when they were both on ‘Love Island’ 2017 – then posted: “The last surprise was 2 weeks ago and I can tell you now Mike you surprised us all. I never knew that you were in so much pain, and I’m sorry that you felt like you couldn’t share your demons with me or your family as Ive spent some time with them over the past two weeks and they’re the most down to earth, lovely people and I’m so happy you had such a strong support network.
“So the human body strives to survive, cells regenerate, they reboot, they mutate all to keep the body alive. For Mikes mental illness to push him to the point where he wanted to self destruct and press that final game over button means that he must’ve been in such a dark place which we will never really understand.
“Mike, i truly believe you exhausted every avenue to avoid this outcome, as I know you knew you were loved, by so many people. You’re kind, you’re generous and sometimes very lairy.. but that’s the Mike that we all cherish and love.
“I know there’s a lot of people in the room that would give absolutely anything to have you back. You were so misunderstood, and i feel privileged to have been your friend, and I have to thank you for always being there for me, always sticking up for me and always telling me to stop being such a drama queen.
“You really were the best kind of person and I will always always remember you and learn from this awful situation. (sic)”
Montana also called for Mike’s friends, family and fans to “learn” from his tragic passing by changing how they “live [their] lives” and “treat strangers”.
She added: “I keep thinking how we move through things so quickly these days, I mean life is so fast paced and people’s capacities to absorb something new often becomes maxed out.
“But the whole nation was shocked by this, and this isn’t something you should forget. So I’m looking at everyone here right and asking you to change yourself, change how you live your life, change how you love your loved ones and also change how you treat strangers.
“I can see a lot of reality faces in the room, please do not let this pass you by. It’s so hard, the rejection, the competitiveness, the need to constantly look like you’re ok, on social media. So let’s learn from this, we’re all in the same boat, we all have the same stresses… (sic)”

Kelly Clarkson mistaken for seat filler at ACM Awards

OHMYGOSSIP — Kelly Clarkson was mistaken for a seat filler at the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards.
The 36-year-old singer performed twice at the 56th annual event on Sunday (07.04.19) at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas but revealed that while sitting in the audience, she was asked to move by a man who assumed she wasn’t there as a guest but was simply occupying a space temporarily.
On Twitter, she wrote: “The greatest thing by far that happened to me tonight was being asked to move because some guy thought I was a seat-filler at the ACM’s tonight…#CantWinEmAll (sic)”
However the ‘Stronger’ hitmaker politely refused to leave her chair and didn’t let the incident spoil her evening insisting that the mistake “literally made my night”.
She said: “Literally, it made my night because he was so serious, and I just politely said no. (sic)”
The musician gave a performance with Dan + Shay of their collaboration ‘Keeping Score’ soon after taking to the stage with Jason Aldean to give a rendition of ACM-winning 2010 duet ‘Don’t You Want to Stay’, which became a multi-platinum No. 1 crossover hit.
Dan + Shay were the big winners at the glitzy award show as the ‘Speechless’ duo – comprised of vocalists and songwriters Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney – were nominated for six prizes at the star-studded ceremony.
The pair went home with the most gongs of the night, picking up Best Vocal Duo, Best Song and Best Single Record for ‘Tequila’ from their acclaimed third self-titled studio album.
Dan admitted it was a “dream come true” to accept the award for the song.
During their acceptance speech, he said: “Thank you to country radio for playing this song
“Everybody in country music, thank you so much for accepting us into this family.
This is a dream come true for us. We love you. Cheers!”

Alex Rodriguez: Jennifer Lopez has superpowers

OHMYGOSSIP — Alex Rodriguez thinks Jennifer Lopez has “superpowers”.
The 43-year-old retired baseball star got engaged to Jennifer last month, and has now heaped praise on his wife-to-be, calling her “authentic and genuine”, as he says he’s certain she’s a superhero because of the way she’s “so normal” but can also perform on stage to thousands of people.
Speaking to The New York Times, he said: “I’ve never met anyone who’s more honest. She’s so authentic and genuine. It was strange to see someone of such magnitude be so normal, be such a great mother and partner and friend. How can you be like this and then go perform in front of 80,000 people? But that’s her superpower.”
His comments come after Jennifer, 49, recently said she was “wary” of the idea of marrying Alex at first, after having already gone through three divorces from former husbands Ojani Noa, Cris Judd, and Marc Anthony.
The ‘Hustlers’ star – who has 11-year-old twins Max and Emme with Marc – said: “I was very wary after everything I’ve been through. I was just sussing it out until then. I was like, ‘I don’t know, maybe yes, maybe no, I really love [Alex], I like him.’ Everything seemed almost too perfect too soon, so I was like, ‘Wait, what’s happening?'”
But Jennifer admitted that when the time came, she “knew” marrying Alex – who has two daughters, Natasha, 14, and 10-year-old Ella, with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis – was the right choice.
She added: “When it happened, I think it was the right time – we knew. It’s great to have a best friend and a partner you can really build with, and I just feel like, with Alex and I, that’s what it’s like. We’re very similar … it’s one of those things, you meet a like-minded person who is trying to be the best person they can be and always trying to grow, and then they help you grow and you help them grow. I’m better here, he’s better there and we’re better together.”

Robin Thicke more ‘focused’ after father’s death

OHMYGOSSIP — Robin Thicke says the passing of his father made him “a much better, more focused man”.
The 42-year-old singer tragically lost his father and actor Alan Thicke in 2016, and has said the sad news pushed him into being a more mature man, because he became the patriarch of his family, and had to look after his 20-year-old half brother Carter.
He said: “When my father passed, I became the patriarch of my family. My young 20-year-old brother, he needed a big brother, and it just felt like now I had to take it onto my shoulders to be a much better, more focused, man than I was before.”
And the ‘Blurred Lines’ hitmaker – who has son Julian, eight, with ex-wife Paula Patton, and daughters Mia Love, 13 months, and Lola Alain, one month, with his fiancée April Love Geary – says he’s still working hard on being a father his brood can be “proud” of.
He added during an appearance on Steve Harvey’s talk show ‘Steve’: “There’s a feeling of, especially now that I have two daughters, I don’t want them to be, when they’re grown up, to not be proud of their father, and the man that I am. I want to be a father that they can be proud of.”
Meanwhile, Robin previously admitted he thinks his father is with him “all the time”.
Asked if he feels any signs of the ‘Growing Pains’ star, Robin said: “Oh, all the time. It was funny. After the first episode that we shot, I went home and I had a mini missing him breakdown because he loved this.
“He loved primetime television. He loved celebrity; He was from a small mining town in Northern Ontario, Canada. So, to him, this was his dream.
“And when I got home I wanted to call him so bad and make him proud of me. So he’s with me all the time.”

Zoe Saldana ‘loves complaining’ about motherhood

OHMYGOSSIP — Zoe Saldana “loves complaining” about being a mother to her three sons.
The 40-year-old actress has twins Cy and Bowie, four, and Zen, two, with her husband Marco Perego, and has said she loves nothing more than complaining about how “exhausted” she is, because it means her brood has to be nice to her.
She told Us Weekly magazine: “I love complaining about the fact that I’m exhausted and I’m tired. Sometimes [my sons] are mean, and the moment you kinda go, ‘Be nice to Momma’ and … ‘I can’t repeat this anymore,’ they turn back and they just do it. You repurpose, and you’re kind of inspired and you go, ‘I’m so happy I have little boys.'”
The ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ star admitted last year that she and her spouse are raising their little ones in a gender neutral environment.
She said at the time: “My husband participates in a lot of tasks that were normally given to woman and vice versa. I get to do a lot of male things, which is, I don’t know, put the TV together, fix things that break. We’re so of a very gender-fluid household. I think it’s important to raise boys in that environment and girls as well.”
And Zoe also admitted her boys taught her how to “be nice”, since she says she’d “forgotten” how to sit down and play with her brood after getting so caught up in teaching them important life lessons.
She said: “As mommies sometimes we forget that. We’re caught raising and teaching and disciplining and cooking and cleaning and not enough time to play. I think that my kids always remind me when I’m being too boring. They go, ‘Mama, be nice, sit down and play with me.’ That’s what they’re teaching me.”

Whoopi Goldberg hospitalised for 24-hour bug

OHMYGOSSIP — Whoopi Goldberg was in hospital again last week with a “24-hour bug”.
The 63-year-old actress has only recently been released from hospital following a life-threatening battle with pneumonia and sepsis, but has revealed that last week she spent time in hospital once again after she was struck down by a sickness bug.
Speaking on ‘The View’ on Monday (08.04.19), she said: I’m much better. I’m much, much better. [I] had a 24-hour bug, which landed me back in the hospital last week, which is why I missed you all on Thursday.
“But, you know the bug came and went. It’s gone. I seem to be doing well. I’m here!”
Whoopi took almost a month out from appearing on ‘The View’ earlier this year in order to focus on her health, and revealed in a pre-recorded video shown on the show in early March that she had been fighting pneumonia – which is an infection that inflames the air sacs in one or both lungs – and came “very close to leaving the Earth”.
She explained: “Hey, yes it’s me. I am here. I am up and moving around. Not as fast as I’d like to be but I am OK, I’m not dead.
“So here’s what happened. I had pneumonia, and I was septic. Pneumonia in both lungs which meant there was fluid, and there was all kinds of stuff going on. And yes, I came very, very close to leaving the Earth. Good news, I didn’t.”
The ‘Colour Purple’ star then went on to thank her fans for sending “good wishes” throughout her health battle, and said that even people who “are not huge fans” of her have been wishing her well.
She added: “Thank you for all of your good wishes. All of the wonderful things that people have been saying. Even people who are not huge fans of mine, have actually said nice things about me. We all know that’s going to change when I get back, but for right now it’s brilliant.”

Dan Reynolds works out to cope with pain of AS

OHMYGOSSIP — Dan Reynolds works out to manage the “pain” of his Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS).
The Imagine Dragons frontman has suffered with the autoimmune disease – in which the spine and other areas of the body become inflamed – for “many years”, and says the best way of dealing the painful condition is to properly balance his diet, exercise, and treatment plans.
He said: “I was diagnosed with it many years ago, but the process of it was incredibly difficult because it’s a hidden disease so not a lot of people know it. It’s not mainstream. I was bouncing around from doctor to doctor for over a year, in a lot of pain.
“There’s really three things – at least, that I found that work for me – and that’s balancing out your diet, exercise and a treatment plan. There’s foods that are trigger foods for people that you remove, things you add that you needed, nutrients, vitamins, exercise; some people use yoga. For me I find a lot of my pain is in my hinge movement, so I do a lot of hinge movement and then also a treatment plan… it’s individualised for everybody.”
The ‘Radioactive’ hitmaker makes sure to hit the gym five times a week, but doesn’t push himself too hard, and also balances his regime out with plenty of yoga.
He added: “I work out five days a week. just for an hour. Things to get blood flowing to different parts of my body. I do a lot of yoga, I think yoga is just, for anybody that has back pain, things like that, just stretching out, getting blood flowing to places that don’t typically get the blood when you’re sitting in a chair all day.”
And now, the singer – who is currently expecting a fourth child with his wife Aja Volkman, with whom he already has two-year-old twins Gia and Coco and six-year-old daughter Arrow – wants to make sure other people suffering with AS get diagnosed sooner.
Speaking to Us Weekly magazine, Dan – who set up charity Monster Pain in the AS to help combat the disease – said: “[I want] to get people to not have that years process of pain. It’s confusing. The cash adds up. So we want to bring this to the mainstream. Millions of people are suffering from it and not anybody knows AS, so we’re trying to get it out there, get the word out there.”

Kylie Jenner is a ‘sweet’ mother

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Jenner is a “sweet, loving” mother, according to her close friend Pia Mia.
The 21-year-old reality star welcomed her daughter Stormi – whom she has with boyfriend Travis Scott – into the world 14 months ago, and now singer and actress Pia has said her pal has “always wanted” to be a mother, and having Stormi has made her more “loving” than she already was.
Pia, 22, said: “Well, I always remember, you know, Kylie saying she always wanted to be a mom and she really felt like that’s what she was meant to do in life. So, I feel like it really didn’t change. Like, Kylie is so mothering and she’s just such a sweet, loving person in general and I just think that now it’s just more, maybe.”
The ‘After’ actress also gushed about baby Stormi, who celebrated her first birthday in February, and revealed she had bought the tot a star projector for her bedroom as a birthday gift.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, Pia added: “Stormi is so cute. I saw her for her first birthday and they did the whole carnival Astro storm. It was amazing. She’s the sweetest thing ever.
“I got her a little – I always go to sleep with a star projector. When I fall asleep, it lights up my room and it makes it look like there’s stars and so I got her the same thing. Because I thought she would like to fall asleep with the stars too.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star recently claimed her “life didn’t start” until she gave birth to her daughter.
She said: “The way that I look at things is a lot more positive and I really feel like my life didn’t start until I had her.
“I always knew I wanted to be a young mother. I remember people used to ask, ‘Are you ready for this?’ And I always knew I was ready but you don’t know what that love and that feeling is like until after you have a child.”

Damian Lewis: My wife Helen is funnier than me

OHMYGOSSIP — Damian Lewis thinks his wife Helen McCrory is funnier than him.
The 48-year-old actor insists there isn’t “competitiveness” between him and his spouse of 12-years other than the fact “it matters” to the ‘MotherFatherSon’ star that she’s funnier than her husband.
In an interview with the Financial Times newspaper, he said: “My wife, which you can’t say about every actor, is intellectually and spiritually an artist. If there’s any competitiveness, it’s that it matters to Helen that she is funnier than me. Which she is.”
Damien has two children with the ‘Penny Dreadful’ star – son Gulliver, 11, and 12-year-old daughter Manon – and the ‘Band of Brothers’ actor admitted that for his birthday all he wanted was to go to a museum with his kids.
He said: “It was my birthday recently and I told my kids, I don’t want a party, but I want you to come with me to the Bill Viola/Michelangelo exhibition at the Royal Academy, and you can’t moan.”
The ‘Homeland’ star – who played Nicholas Brody in the show, a Marine Sgt. who returns home following eight years in captivity having converted to Islam – went on to speak about his dinner with former US President Barack Obama in which he gifted the politician with DVDs of the TV show with the inscription “from one Muslim to another” – referencing previous allegations that Obama secretly practices the religion.
Damien’s meeting with the former White House incumbent was “sensational” and recalled meeting with him once again at a White House Correspondents’ Dinner when he asked if Obama was watching his latest show ‘Billions’.
The English actor said: “Meeting him was sensational. He’s an easy president for a European to like. I saw him again at the correspondents’ dinner and said ‘I hope you’re watching Billions.’ And he said ‘I am, but there’s just one problem. Hedge fund managers aren’t that cool.’ ”
