Celine Dion takes 30 minutes to do make-up

OHMYGOSSIP — Celine Dion can do her whole make-up look in “30 minutes”.
The French-Canadian songstress is known for her flawless complexion and natural glow, however the star has revealed that during her long career, she has “picked up” tips and tricks from make-up artists she has worked with to make her routine simple and easy.
She told The Sunday Times’ Style magazine: “I’ve used a lot of make-up artists throughout my life and I’ve learnt from them, but I know my own face so well and I can do my whole look in 30 minutes, sometimes even 15.
“In the beginning I couldn’t afford to have one, so I had to pick up other people’s tricks, and that’s when I realised I love doing it myself. My mum used to always do my hair and I would do my make-up, and since then I’ve just stuck with it.”
And the 51-year-old singer insisted that if she goes bare faced, she always keeps her hair in a signature chignon bun because it gives her a natural “face lift”.
She added: “There’s one small rule: my hair has to be done. A chignon gives my face a nice lift.”
The ‘Think Twice’ hitmaker also explained that her go-to product in her kit is a “creamy” black kohl eyeliner that “doesn’t budge”.
She continued: “A black kohl liner — but it has to be a good one. So many make my eyes sensitive or are too dry and chalky. A creamy, long-lasting one gets my pick.
“Choose oil-based formulas. If it’s water-based and I tear up, it will streak. If it’s oil-based, it doesn’t budge.”

David Gandy’s ‘iconic’ career moment was Dolce and Gabbana campaign

OHMYGOSSIP — David Gandy thinks his Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue campaign was “iconic”.
The 39-year-old model has worked with some of the most prestigious brands in the fashion industry, and the British hunk this all his success can be traced back to the Italian label’s fragrance campaign because his life changed overnight.
He said: “I always wanted to create something iconic, and then Light Blue happened – I went from no one knowing me outside the fashion industry to newspapers calling, paparazzi outside. I knew I had to build on that.
“I did a coffee-table book with Dolce & Gabbana, then I said I wanted my own clothing range, so I started talking to brands. Life is a bit like a game of chess. How do you know what you want to reach or where you want to get to if you don’t have a goal?”
But despite his success, David still feels like he has to “constantly prove” himself when he walks into a meeting.
He told the Mail on Sunday’s You magazine: “I spoke to Gisele, I looked at the platforms of Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford and I went, ‘How have you done this? How have you got to where you are?’
“It’s tough, sometimes, to walk into a meeting and feel you have to get past some barriers because you’re a model – you have to constantly prove yourself. Then again, in life, when do you not have to prove yourself?”
And David – who has a four-month-old daughter Matilda with his partner Stephanie Mendoros – used to be a bit of a “loner” and go to bed very “late” until he met his long-term girlfriend.
He added: “I always saw sleep as a waste. I want to keep doing things, so I don’t want to go to bed until very late, and I like that time when everyone else is in bed and the phone’s stopped ringing.
“I’m a bit of a loner at times and I quite enjoy that. But when I first started going out with Steph she was like, ‘You have this other life when I’m asleep.'”

Nicola McLean didn’t breastfeed as she didn’t want to ‘ruin her implants’

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicola McLean wouldn’t breastfeed her children as she didn’t want to “ruin” her implants.
The 37-year-old reality star has undergone two boob jobs over the years, going from a size C to an E and then to a GG, and the former glamour model admitted that she bottle fed her two sons, Rocky, 11, and Striker, seven, as she “paid a lot of money” to make her mammaries massive and wanted to protect her perkiness.
During a discussion on breastfeeding in public on ‘The Jeremy Vine Show’, she said: “I didn’t breastfeed personally because I didn’t want to ruin my implants…nothing to do with the baby, but no way was I ruining them I’ve paid a lot of money for them.
“I’m already needing an uplift I didn’t wanna do it – but if I was breastfeeding I would do it anywhere when my baby as hungry I would breastfeed and dare anyone tell me that I shouldn’t.”
The panel on the current affairs show were debating an incident last week in which a British woman was asked by a chef in a cafe to stop breastfeeding her child, and Nicola branded the incident as “absolutely shocking”.
The beautiful blonde – who is married to soccer player Tom Williams – said: “You’ve got a first time mum and it’s knocked her confidence, it’s absolutely shocking that someone would make anyone feel uncomfortable about doing the best thing for your baby.
“Most people do not just whack a boob out you know you’ve got all for these modestly things most people don’t just sit there in restaurants with it out I’ve never personally seen it.”

Shawn Mendes has stopped anxiety medication

OHMYGOSSIP — Shawn Mendes has stopped taking his anxiety medication.
The ‘Youth’ singer used to take beta blockers to calm his anxiety before he stepped onto stage but he has now decided to stop the medication.
Speaking to the crowd on stage, he said: “As a performer you get very nervous, sometimes you freak out and things can become a lot for you. And there’s medicine and things you can do to help and I meditate and I do a lot of things. There’s a medicine called beta blockers and basically it’s a very calm medicine, but what it does is it slows your heart rate down so you can be less stressed out and calm down and breathe, but nevertheless it’s medicine and I want you guys to know that for the last year I’ve been taking the medicine that’s been slowing down my heart rate so that I can be calm on stage. I want you guys to know because I think it’s important you know it’s my very first day back without that medicine. If you get nervous it means you care and I care about nothing more in the world than you guys, so that’s why my hands shake.”
Shawn previously admitted he is “the most nervous guy”.
He said: “Now I’m 20, and everybody who was 15 listening to me back then is now 20. And they have grown up, too. I’m not afraid of [losing my audience]. I’m not afraid of becoming more mature … How do we make it sound like I’m the most confident dude ever, but the message is the absolute opposite? [In reality,] I’m the most nervous guy. Really, what I started to realise is that when you get nervous around people, when you get nervous on stage, it genuinely means you care. And the second you stop getting nervous is maybe when there’s a problem, you know? So, I really take nerves to heart. Nerves mean that there’s something inside thinking like you need to care about this.”

Bond girl Nadja Regin dies age 87

OHMYGOSSIP — Bond girl Nadja Regin has died at the age of 87.
The Serbian-born actress appeared in both 1963’s ‘From Russia with Love’ and 1964 film ‘Goldfinger’ with first ever 007 Sir Sean Connery and the news of her passing was confirmed on the official James Bond Twitter account.
A post made on Monday (08.04.19), read: “We are very sorry to learn that Nadja Regin has passed away at the age of 87.
“Nadja appeared in two Bond films, FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE and GOLDFINGER. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this sad time. (sic)”
Nadja portrayed the love interest of James Bond’s British intelligence ally Kerim Bey in ‘From Russia With Love’, and then portrayed bellydancer Bonita in ‘Goldfinger’.
The brunette beauty previously admitted that she was reluctant to play a Bond girl because they were “tiny little roles”.
She said: “To be honest, in the beginning I was very embarrassed, because they were such tiny little roles.”
Revealing that Queen Elizabeth II’s cameo opposite current Bond Daniel Craig as part of the 2012 London Olympics opening ceremony made her feel more proud about her 007 past, she added: “Once the Queen had a tiny role as a Bond girl, I thought, well, if it’s good enough for Her Majesty I shouldn’t be so embarrassed!”
Nadja’s other notable parts came in 1960s British TV shows such
‘The Avengers’, ‘Danger Man’ and ‘The Saint’.
The news comes following the death of fellow ‘Goldfinger’ Bond girl Tania Mallet – who played Tilly Masterson in the spy flick – passed away at the age of 77 at the end of March.

“I send love to all of the beautiful autistic children and the wonderful people who love them. May we all shine and grant love and respect to children with special needs [heart emoji] #autismawareness #autism (sic)”
John, 65, added a heart emoji in the comment section of the post.
The ‘Saturday Night Fever’ actor – who also has Ella, 19, and eight-year-old Benjamin with his wife – previously opened up about how his youngest son’s birth brought their family together, five years after Jett’s passing.
He said: “We certainly have bonded together.

He previously said: “I took him to Toys ‘R Us recently, and he said to me when we got out of the truck and in the cart, ‘Why are all these people wanting my photograph?’
“Because I didn’t know if he knew I was in films or not. He said, ‘Well, maybe they saw one of your movies!’ And he said, ‘I want to work with you!’ So we’ll see how that evolves. I don’t want to force it.”

Richard Madden fears he’s projecting ‘unrealistic body image’

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Madden fears he’s projecting an “unrealistic body image”.
The 32-year-old actor took home this year’s Golden Globe for Best Actor for his role as Sergeant David Budd in the hit BBC thriller ‘Bodyguard’ as well as portraying Rob Stark HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ – both of which saw him strip down on screen.
However, Richard admitted that by hitting the gym “twice a day” and “barely eating” to prepare for roles, he worries he’s portraying an unrealistic body standard for other men.
In an interview with Britain’s Vogue magazine, he said: “We’re projecting a very unrealistic body image. I find myself with actor friends – after we’ve done a kind of barely eating, working-out-twice-a-day, no-carbing thing for these scenes – looking at each other going: ‘We’re just feeding this same s**t that we’re against.'”
The ‘Cinderella’ star went on to explain that it’s not just women who feel pressure to lose weight for specific parts and insisted it happens to men “all the time”.
He added: “I’ve done numerous jobs where you’re told to lose weight and get to the gym. It doesn’t just happen to women, it happens to men all the time as well.”
Richard went on to explain that he’s now taken a harder line with nudity and will always ensure that it’s an essential part of the plotline before he agrees.
He said: “I read scripts where, within the first 15 pages it says, he gets into the shower and I think ‘I know exactly what this is’ It’s just a scene to get me to take my clothes off.
“Then I’m like ‘Right can you f***ing explain why it’s important for me to have to take my shirt off then I will absolutely do it but if they can’t – which they often can’t – then I won’t.”

Gwendoline Christie says Game of Thrones fans wanted stronger females

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwendoline Christie claims ‘Game of Thrones’ features a lot of “complex female characters” because of fan demand.
The 40-year-old actress – who has played Brienne of Tarth on the HBO fantasy series since season two – thinks it is “extraordinary” that the rise of the drama coincided with the fact the internet has given everyone an “equal voice”, meaning producers could react quickly to viewer feedback.
She told Variety: “It’s really extraordinary, isn’t it? Because Game of Thrones has come about at a time where the birth of the Internet also really occurred with people using it regularly, having phones where they could refer to it with ease.
“And what the Internet has done is provided everyone with an equal voice, and one element was that we heard what audiences want. And what they want are more female characters, and they want more complex female characters.”
The ‘Darkest Minds’ star is “deeply proud” to be a part of the fantasy drama because it has “honoured” author George R.R. Martin’s books and reflected the “exceptional female characters” which he created in the unfinished novel series.
She added: “Something I’m deeply proud of in this show is that it has honoured the books, it has taken the characters that are so exquisitely drawn and described in the books, and maintained that and kept it in the TV show.
“And I think that this huge phenomenon that is Game of Thrones has illustrated that people want to see female characters, they’re interested in those stories. And it has provided some really exceptional female characters. I’m very proud to be a part of it.”

Jodie Marsh ‘praying’ for menopause

OHMYGOSSIP — Jodie Marsh is “praying” she goes through the menopause soon.
The 40-year-old former glamour model was bemoaning how unlucky she’s been in love when a Twitter follower told her she’d stop being interested when she reaches the time in a woman’s life when she can no longer bear children and Jodie joked she hoped she didn’t have to wait too long.
She tweeted: “I pray it comes quickly [laughing emojis] that or I need to buy a ranch in Texas and disappear from humanity. X x x (sic)”
The bodybuilder – who split from Wayne Lennox earlier this year after discovering he’d fathered three children with three women – has decided to give up dating because she’s sick of getting “hurt”.
She tweeted: “You give someone the benefit of the doubt & then you find out they’re not at all nice, they’ve done nothing but lie to you and you get hurt. So therefore I am not dating anymore. It’s hard when everyone knows your name too x (sic)”
And Jodie claimed she constantly gets “walked all over” in relationships.
She wrote to a follower: “My problem is that I’m too nice. I get walked all over x x
“I’m just a normal girl. Fame is a monster x x x (sic)”
The reality TV star – who split from husband James Placido in April 2016 after just eight months of marriage – doesn’t feel anyone has ever dated her because of who she is as all her relationships have been with guys who “want something” from her.
She wrote to one fan: “I don’t trust anyone anymore. And I realised today that I have never ever had a guy just love me for who I really am. They all want something; fame, money, lifestyle, bragging rights, to make an ex jealous, the list goes on x x (sic)”
And she posted to another: “I have a lovely life. It’s just in dating I go sooooo wrong. While everyone is getting married & having babies I’m over here getting injunctions on my exes cos they’re such lunatics. It’s hard when no one ever just loves you for you x x x (sic)”
If she does decide to date again, Jodie joked she would lower her “standards” to find a new partner in order to avoid disappointment.
She tweeted: “I have come to the conclusion that if I lower my standards when it comes to dating then I can’t be disappointed ever again.
“They turn out to be a psycho? Not a problem. They’re into beastiality? That’s fine. See…. no standards = no problems when you find out who they really are.(sic)”

Kym Marsh needs surgery for pelvis pain

OHMYGOSSIP — Kym Marsh needs surgery to deal with her “painful” pelvis.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress will go under the knife to correct an “overgrowth of bone” which is causing her “discomfort”.
She said: “I’ve had pain in my pelvis for a while now. I recently went for an MRI scan and I’ve been told I have a bone spur on the tip of my coccyx.
“It’s basically an overgrowth of bone, which is pushing into muscles and tendons and causing me discomfort.
“I have to have a procedure done to correct it.”
But the 42-year-old star is still able to exercise, and is searching for a new personal trainer so she can get summer ready.
Writing in her OK! magazine column, she added: “I’m told exercising won’t cause it any damage, so I’m looking for a new personal trainer and hope to be in shape again by summer.”
Last month, Kym – who plays Michelle Connor in ‘Corrie’ – was bed-ridden for four days with suspected salmonella poisoning, and felt as though she had been “hit by a truck”.
She said: “I felt so awful I had to go to the Alexandra Hospital in Manchester. I was shaking, I felt terrible and like I’d been hit by a truck.
“They ran lots of tests on me and I’m still waiting for the results, but doctors think it could be salmonella poisoning, which is really serious. The ordeal has been terrifying and I’ve never felt so ill.
“I was bed-ridden for four days. The whole family rallied around me, David and Emilie had to get Polly up and ready for school because I couldn’t get out of bed.”

Jay Kontzle shares heartbreak over mum death

OHMYGOSSIP — Jay Kontzle says losing his mum when he was four years old has made it “easier to overcome” adulthood issues.
The ‘Emmerdale’ star doesn’t worry too much if he loses a job or if someone says something “nasty” to him, because he has been through “much worse” when his mother passed away, and he survived a near-death experience aged three months when his pram ploughed into a shop window after his mum was struck by a car.
He said: “After my mum died and all the stuff that happened to me when I was young, I see stuff that happens now as not a big thing.
“If I lose a job or someone says something nasty about me, I don’t care because I’ve been through bigger, much worse things. I find it easier to overcome things.
“My mum was the best person in the world, but my grandparents have done a really good job. I really appreciate everything they’ve done for me.”
The 28-year-old actor has two kids, KaiBo, two, and 10-month-old Zian, with his wife Mimi, and joked he was intoxicated when he agreed to have children with her.

Charlotte Church ‘changed her life’ by ditching smart phone

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlotte Church claims ditching her smartphone “changed [her] life”.
The ‘Crazy Chick’ hitmaker admitted she stopped being able to “focus” and was “secretly addicted” to checking the apps on her iPhone, which also negatively impacted on the relationships she had with her loved ones.
She wrote in a column for the Guardian newspaper: “I was secretly addicted as the anxiety carousel wheeled unwieldily.
“I couldn’t focus, not even on a single app on my phone before I was drawn to another, ‘distracted from distraction by distraction’.
“It wasn’t just Twitter and emails I was monitoring with obsessive regularity: it was the weather, in places where I wasn’t; it was my menstrual cycle app; it was the ticket site SongKick.
“And when all that was exhausted: scroll, scroll, scroll. It started to affect my relationships with friends and family, especially as the colours of our politics became our only interactions.”
The 33-year-old singer – who has children Ruby, 11, and 10-year-old Dexter with former partner Gavin Henson and is married to Jonathan Powell – eventually decided to ditch her “iVampire” and after admitting to suffering signs of withdrawal at first, she now thinks swapping to a basic device was the best thing she could have done.
She wrote: “For the first few weeks I had a constant clifftop sketchiness, as if I was supposed to be doing something and couldn’t put my finger on what. But that soon abated.
“I was still on Twitter, but it didn’t follow me around the whole day, so I stopped responding to arseholes and only posted about stuff I really cared about.
“Gradually, I became aware that not only had I stolen secret time back from the flutter of hurried days, but somehow a secret space as well.
“I could stretch out, free to think again, to be wholly creative, to learn meaningfully and to switch off. It was like a cleansing spring shower had come to wash away the mucky detritus left after the long-cluttered winter of my mind…
“The change was worth it. It’ll sound like an overstatement but I think it changed my life.”

Chris Hemsworth would ‘love’ to play James Bond

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Hemsworth would “love” to play James Bond.
The 35-year-old hunk doesn’t think any actors would turn down the iconic role – which is currently portrayed by Daniel Craig – but he doesn’t believe there’s any way to put himself forward for the role as there are so many factors in the decision making process.
However, the Australian star thinks his own “ultimate calling card” for playing the secret agent was when he starred as James Hunt in the 2013 racing biopic ‘Rush’.
He said: “When we were shooting ‘Rush’ someone had said that and I thought, Cool, if this is my audition tape, then great. I don’t think you’ll ever meet anyone who doesn’t want to have a crack at James Bond. I’d love to do it.
“But that’s up to so many elements and is way beyond myself; it’s not one you can pitch yourself on to either. It’s something that the community of Bond fans, Barbara Broccoli and the whole crew there agree on, and it has to be a very organic decision from them. There have been a lot of names thrown out there and a lot of brilliant people can tackle that one.”
Chris also explained that if he could turn back time, he would “appreciate” what was right in front of him rather than “looking ahead” to his next film part.
He told Balance magazine: “If I go back 10 or 15 years, I feel that a lot of that time it was about, ‘If I only had this, or this film, or was in this position, then that would be perfect.’
“Then I’d get to that position and very quickly there was a new goal or a new thing. I was always looking ahead and not appreciating what was right in front of me.
The ‘Avengers: End Game’ star – who has India, six, and five-year-old twins Sasha and Tristan with his wife Elsa – admitted that since having children, he feels more “comfortable” in his own “skin”.
He continued: “The last year or so, I’ve cut down a lot of those things. The way I’m looking at it all is a lot more settled. My kids are a bit older and I’m getting used to being a dad and the craziness of work and balancing the two.
“I feel less need to prove a lot of things; I’ve ticked a lot of the boxes I wanted to tick. As a human being, I’m a little bit more comfortable in my own skin.”

Courtney Stodden has ‘abandonment issues’

OHMYGOSSIP — Courtney Stodden’s father told her to “never contact him again”.
The 24-year-old reality star – who split from her husband, 58-year-old Doug Hutchison, in 2016 – admitted her heart has been “torn into pieces” over her lengthy estrangement from her dad and believes their fractured relationship was one of the reasons why she wed the ‘Green Mile’ actor when she was just 16 years old.
Writing on Instagram, Courtney said: “My Father told me to never contact him again and that he does not have a daughter. My heart has been torn into pieces over the damaged relationship with him for over a decade now.
“I left home at 16 and got married (most likely due to abandonment issues and not feeling worthy enough for my Dad) as My emotional state wasn’t a priority to him nor spending quality time with me. So yeah, I chose to leave. I fell in love and finally felt nurtured.
“My father in turn threw away all of my childhood memories including hundreds of video tapes (my first birthday, gymnastics lessons, singing and dancing videos, etc).(sic)”
And the blonde beauty insisted that she is learning to “accept” that she cannot “change” her relationship with her dad, but will always love him.
She continued: “The thing is, if my father doesn’t want to be a FATHER then I need to finally accept that. I cannot change him nor change WHO I AM in order to make this happen.
“Shout out to anyone who is feeling lost, worthless, or has been disowned by any of their family members.
My soul will need YEARS to recover from this.
I will always love my birth father … regardless of anything. -Courtney Stodden (sic)”
