Meanwhile, Gaga recently revealed she feels “betrayed” by those closest to her and said that there is “a lot of rage” present in the tracks on the album.
She explained: “I’ve been betrayed by all types of people in my life and thought an illusion was put out to bait me in some kind of way. There’s a lot of rage on the album. There’s going to be a lot of personal things on that record that are written through the lyrics and the music.”

Dolly Parton has hundreds of wigs

OHMYGOSSIP — Dolly Parton has a wig for every day of the year.
The ‘9 to 5’ hitmaker admits she has too many hairpieces to count, but loves the act she can change her locks quickly according to her mood.
She said: “Cheryl Riddle my hairdresser does such a wonderful job and she gives me such a variety of things, I don’t even know how many wigs I have – I wear one almost every day, so I must have at least 365.
“But anyhow, I’ve got a wig for everything – you know, if I don’t like the one I put on, I’ve got such a good variety… But when I do my shows at night, there’s a mood for my clothes and a mood for my hair.
“In the afternoon I think, ‘I’m in the mood for white’ or ‘I’m in the mood for red’ and then of course I think, ‘Well, am I in the mood for curly hair or an updo?’ So it all depends on my mood.”
The 70-year-old singer – who has been married to Carl Dean for 50 years – thinks her flamboyant image has “saved” her life, and though she is not a “natural beauty”, she loves dressing up because it makes her feel good.
She told Dazed magazine: “I think dressing up has saved my life.
“I always said if I hadn’t been a woman I would have been a drag queen. For sure.
“And it’s been a joy to do this because I was not born a natural beauty, but I think we’re beautiful in our own way and whatever makes you feel beautiful is what you should so.
“They always say that less is more, but I think that’s the biggest crock I ever heard.”
The petite star – who is just 4ft 11in – wishes she was able to don high heels without worrying she’ll injure herself.
She said: “It’s funny, all the Dolly drag queens are so big and then they put on those shoes anyway and here I am, I ain’t as big as a bar of soap. Even with my highest heels.
“I wish I could get higher heels and walk without breaking my neck.”

Zara Larsson wants to be as big as Beyoncé

OHMYGOSSIP — Zara Larsson wants to become a pop legend like Beyoncé.
The 18-year-old Swedish singer shot to fame eight years ago when she won Swedish talent show ‘Talang’ and in the last 18 months she has had lots of hits, including ‘Never Forget You’ with MNEK.
Zara has her sights set on emulating Beyoncé’s incredible three-decade spanning career.
In an interview with the new issue of NME Magazine, she explained: “That’s what I really want to be (like Beyoncé). I have some friends and they’re super-hipster. And they’re like; ‘All I wanna do is sing in a jazz bar and to just make it to pay for the rent.’ And I’m like, cool … That’s not what I wanna do. I want as many people as possible to go to my concert.”
Zara saw Beyoncé perform at Wembley Stadium in London earlier this year when she brought her ‘Formation World Tour’ to the UK capital and watching that concert inspired her to try and match her idol.
She said: “Two nights, 85,000 people in the audience. I can only imagine what she feels like standing there on stage, like ‘All these people came for me because they love my music and we’re all here right now to make this a magical and special night…’ To do like legendary. Because why not?”
Zara is a big fan of Beyoncé’s latest LP ‘Lemonade’ and admires her decision to get political on a record.
The ‘Ain’t My Fault’ hitmaker said: “I’m so happy to see her develop into an activist, because she can do no wrong. It’s just the perfect timing and I’m happy she’s talking about what it’s like to be a black woman in America … It just feels like this is the time where everybody should be involved … The world is just bleeding.”
Zara has learned to stand up for herself from a very young age and has never been shy in stating what she believes is best for her music.
She said: “I was 15 when I started, and they’re all basically men and middle-aged and know what they’re doing, so when I was 15 and I was saying ‘No,’ that was scary. But I’ve had time to develop my self-esteem and the ability to say no, because that’s the most important thing that you can do.”

Puff Daddy donates $1m to Howard University

OHMYGOSSIP — Sean ‘Puff Daddy’ Combs has donated $1 million to his old university in Washington, D.C.
The ‘I’ll Be Missing You’ hitmaker studied business at Howard University and dropped out after two years in order to focus on his music but he’s never forgotten his routes and has handed the life-changing lump sum to the schools’ President Dr. Wayne Frederick.on Thursday (22.09.16).
Speaking at his show as part of his ‘Bad Boy Reunion’ tour at the Verizon Center in D.C., he said: “One of the biggest blessings is getting the chance to one day be able to give back. And to support the people that supported you. If I didn’t get some help, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today.”
The 46-year-old rapper – who received an honorary doctorate from the school two years ago – has pumped the money into the Sean Combs Scholarship Fund in the hope that he can help students struggling with money still study business at the university.
He explained: “I didn’t graduate from Howard. I was blessed to get my honorary degree but that doesn’t tell the whole story. Because the only reason why I was able to chase my dreams was the empowerment that Howard gave me, the support that they gave me, the first two years.”
And, although he’s now moved on and carved out a career in music, Puff will always hold a place in his heart for the university because it was like “home” to him.
He said: “The first day I stepped on campus it was like heaven. You know heaven,” he said. “I mean, that’s the best way, it’s so much love. It’s an indescribable place, you have to see it.”
Howard will start dishing out the scholarships next year to undergraduate students hoping to pursue a career in degree, but they must have a 3.0 GPA (85 per cent pass rate) and prove they need financial help.
And the recipients of the Sean Combs Scholarship Fund won’t just receive monetary help as they’ll also be assigned a mentor from Combs Enterprises and spend a summer interning with Bad Boy Entertainment or Revolt Media & TV, according to website Wusa9.com.

OneRepublic to ditch making albums

OHMYGOSSIP — OneRepublic have decided to ditch making albums.
The ‘Counting Stars’ hitmakers accept that the music industry has changed since their last record, 2013’s ‘Native’, and are to follow in the footsteps of superstar DJ Calvin Harris by only releasing singles in the future should it “make sense” not to release a body of work.
Frontman Ryan Tedder, 37, told The Sun newspaper: “If the world has evolved to the point where it doesn’t make sense to do an album, we will absolutely not do an album. The industry has changed.”
However, the group – who are gearing up to release their fourth studio LP ‘Oh My My’ on October 7 – say fans can expect at least one more record after the next one because they are tied to a deal with their record label.
Ryan added: “I’m pretty sure we owe one more album to our label.”
OneRepublic began making their follow-up to ‘Native’ in August of 2014 and Tedder feels the songs are the “best” he’s ever written for his band.
He previously said: “We have some records on this album which I think are the best songs I have done for OneRepublic.”
Meanwhile, the hunky songwriter has said he’s tired of having a low profile despite writing some of the biggest hits for stars including Adele, Beyonce and Taylor Swift.
He previously admitted: “I think I’ve gotten tired of being quiet (achievers) as we have been. I don’t know if another band has done the same kind of numbers with such a low profile. Maybe having a higher profile, and I’m not necessarily talking about fame, would change things and I’m ready for that.”

Nick Jonas' conquests made him a great pop star

OHMYGOSSIP — Nick Jonas says sexual conquests have made him into a great pop star.
The ‘Jealous’ hitmaker – who has previously dated pop beauties Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez – says he became a better songwriter and popular because once he lost his virginity and had sexual experiences his lyrics had more “genuine depth” to them.
The 24-year-old singer explained: “Any time I approach writing a song I think about the fact that since I started having sex my creative life changed dramatically, and my ability to write a song with more genuine depth, more reality.”
The former Jonas Brothers star famously wore a purity ring during his days as a Disney star, however, he says embracing his sexuality and learning about sex has paid off and made him better at expressing his art.
In an interview with Wonderland magazine, he said: “Sexuality is important as an artist, to embrace and use it as ammunition in your creative life, and understanding that part of your life, and how it makes you feel.”
Meanwhile, Nick also touched on the fact that he is seen as a poster boy for the LGBT society and he doesn’t care about any negativity thrown at him for representing gays and lesbians because the impact he has on that community is far more important.
He said: “I’m totally aware of my intentions in any and all of my attempts to be an ally to the LGBT community. Starting in theatre growing into the performer I am today, I’ve made so many great friends belonging to the LGBT community. The positive impact is 10 times more important than the negative comments.”
Nick is very forthright when it comes to talking about sex and recently admitted he would love to get spanked.
When asked by ‘Watch What Happens Live’ host Andy Cohen, if it was something he would be interested in, he said: “Yeah, absolutely. I’ve got a firm ass.”
However, he was not quite so enthusiastic about being tied up, explaining: “Not into it. It happened one time, and it didn’t end well. I didn’t know what to do, it was all … it was bad.”

Kaiser Chiefs' new album is full of 'instant hits'

OHMYGOSSIP — Kaiser Chiefs’ new record is packed with “instant hits”.
The rock band – fronted by Ricky Wilson – will release their new album ‘Stay Together’ on October 7, and according to the former ‘The Voice UK’ coach the record channels the idea of playing festivals where everyone knows the words to the songs. Frontman Ricky, 38, has admitted that he “forgot” how much he loved making singles, and so wanted to make an album full of them.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, the ‘Ruby’ hitmaker said: “We weren’t into making a guitar record this time. We wanted to remember our ethos […] When we wrote our first record, all we wanted to do was to play festivals where everyone remembered us. To do that we had to write what sounded to us like instant hits.
“I think somewhere along the way of our career we forgot this is what we love doing. So on this record we’ve gone back to writing songs that when people hear them for the first time they go, ‘I know this and I am enjoying it and don’t care who the band is. I like it.'”
The ‘Parachute’ hitmakers – also comprised of Andrew White, Simon Rix, Nick Baines, and Vijay Mistry – hooked up with Brian Higgins, the producer behind hits for Kylie Minogue, Girls Aloud and The Pet Shop Boys, for their sixth studio LP.
Speaking about working with Brian, Simon said: “(It was) Intense. But in a good way as he really knew our music — even more than we did at times. And he pushed us forward which was a real confidence boost.”
Ricky added: “His passion working with us was incredible. You can work with any producer in the world if you’ve got a big enough cheque book but we didn’t even discuss payment or anything like that with Brian at the start. He was just so keen to work with us.”
Meanwhile, Ricky admits that he thinks the reason Kaiser Chiefs are still going strong after a decade of making music, is simply because they “have fun”.
He said: “We just enjoy it and have fun together. And nothing actually catastrophic has happened to us. We’ve done all right and we are still here and that’s how we will continue. Just seeing what comes next.”

Louisa Johnson: People will be surprised by my album

OHMYGOSSIP — Louisa Johnson says people will be “surprised” by her debut album.
The ‘X Factor’ winner – who won the hearts of the nation with her angelic vocals on the TV talent show in 2015 – has many different musical influences, from her idol R&B superstar Beyoncé to Caribbean music, and that will be reflected on her record.
She told the latest issue of Wonderland magazine:: “It’s not one kind of genre. I love Caribbean-vibe music. Beyonce, old school R&B and everything from the 90s. I think people will be surprised when they hear it!”
Louisa has also admitted she found it “difficult” going into the studio for the first time, but says the results are very “honest” and “real”.
She said: “It’s been quite difficult to go straight from the show to the studio, but I just want to share my music. For me, my music is like a diary: it’s very real and honest, and I like to be open.”
Louisa, who was mentored by Rita Ora on the ITV talent show, says the 25-year-old beauty “inspired” her massively and taught her to be herself and stay “strong mentally”.
She said: “I think Rita inspired me the most, because
she’s young too and we had so many ideas together. She helped me a lot. She always told me to be myself, to remain strong mentally. I think it’s the most important advice anyone can give you.”
Louisa also had a lot of praise for Syco boss, Simon Cowell, 56.
She said: “I really admire Simon. It’s definitely scary, the fame that comes with X-Factor, but I’m doing
everything I’ve always dreamed about and him and Rita have helped
me so much. Simon is so supportive and it’s really great.”

Rita Ora's 'personal' album

OHMYGOSSIP — Rita Ora’s second album will be “very personal”.
The ‘Body On Me’ hitmaker signed a new deal with Atlantic Records UK – a subsidiary of Warner Music Group – in June following her departure from Jay-Z’s label Roc Nation.
And now she has teased that she is going to be very “honest” about leaving Roc Nation and certain aspects of her private life on the follow-up to her 2012 debut LP ‘Ora’.
Talking about the themes on her next album, she said : “It’s just everything from my personal life to what I couldn’t do due to previous situations and now being free. I’ve never been freer than I am right now.
“It’s about everything from being a refugee, from flying in from Kosovo and living in London, having this amazing city that’s crazy and full of lights — talking about real stuff.”
The 25-year-old pop beauty said she is “desperate” to release new music and says people will see a whole new Rita reflected in her lyrics.
She told London’s Evening Standard newspaper: “I’m desperate to get my music out. I think I’m now at a point in my life where I have a new amazing label, we really have taken it to the next level. It’s very song-based.
“It’s very real — real instruments, believable lyrics. I’ve not only grown as an individual but as a woman. People are going to see that.”
As for when to expect her hotly-anticipated album, the buxom blonde said she will be heading to Los Angeles in October to finish it.
She said: “I’ve been in a whirlwind but I’ve honestly been living my dream. I was living in New York for three months filming America’s Next Top Model, now I’m in London for two months recording every day with my dream team. Then I fly to LA in October to finish the album.”
And despite her six-month legal dispute with Roc Nation, she has nothing but praise for Jay-Z’s label.
She added: “I just want to move forward,” she said. “It’s something that I appreciate and the memories are incredible. They opened the door to my whole life … Everything happens for a reason. That’s all I’ll say.”

Shawty Lo dead at 40

OHMYGOSSIP — Shawty Lo has died aged 40.
The rapper – whose real name is Carlos Walker – was killed in a car crash in the early hours of Wednesday morning (22.09.16) after his motor came off a freeway near south-west Atlanta, hit trees and burst into flames.
Fulton County police corporal Maureen Smith said the driver, Shawty, was thrown from the car and killed, and two female passengers were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
There were initial reports of a possible hit and run but it later emerged just one car was involved.
Several stars have paid tribute to Shawty – who had 11 children from 10 women – including 50 Cent, whose record company the rapper had worked with.
He tweeted: “My condolences to his family, he had a lot of mouths to feed (sic)”
Ludacris wrote: “RIP to a real one”
Shawty’s manager Johnnie Cabell tweeted from the rapper’s official Twitter account to confirm his death.
The tweet read: “My brother has passed he is no longer here but his spirit, his kind heart , and his music will live on Long live Shawty Lo King of Bankhead”
Johnnie also paid tribute to his pal as a “legend” and admitted he is trying to find out what caused the crash.
He told The Guardian newspaper: “He was a good person. He was a friend. Lo was a legend – he is definitely going to be missed.
“We are trying to find out what happened.”
Shortly before the crash, Shawty had been promoting his new single in strip club Blue Flame in Atlanta.
His father died earlier this month and the funeral took place on Saturday (17.09.16).
Johnnie added: “He left 11 kids behind and he took care of all of them. He had just lost his father, and now he goes. We are just praying for his mother.”
Shawty formed group DL4 in 2003, and had solo hits with the likes of ‘Dey Know’.

John Lydon: It's taken 40 years to find 'perfect' bandmates

OHMYGOSSIP — John Lydon says it has taken him 40 years to find the “perfect blend” of bandmates.
The 60-year-old singer – who was known as Johnny Rotten when he fronted The Sex Pistols – is the happiest he’s ever been in his band Public Image Ltd – also known as PiL – because the members all “respect” their art and aren’t just in it for stardom.
Lydon – who is joined by Keith Levene, Jah Wobble and Jim Walker in the post-punk band – told this month’s CALIBRE Quarterly magazine: “It’s taken me 40 years to find the perfect blend of people who truly do respect each other. Every band does when they first start, but it can very quickly turn to ego. There’re far too many people in the music business who want to be superstars, rather than enjoy what it is that they’ve been given!”
The ‘God Save The Queen’ hitmaker said that PiL is an “exploration of emotions” and their aim is to creative new rhythmic structures to fit the subject they are talking about.
Asked if they are heavily influenced, he said: “No! We might listen to everything but we’re not ‘heavily influenced’ by everything. Old members have said various things to explain their particular angles on things in the band – but everything about us is to create entirely different rhythmic structures that are appropriate to the subject matter that we’re dealing with. PiL is an exploration of emotions really.”
The outspoken rocker also said that when they get into the studio there are “no rules” and it can get quite “out of control”, but that it is important when trying to relay an “honest emotion”.
Asked what their creative process is like, John explained: “Wild, out of control. There’re no rules. We did a little documentary that goes with the last album, and it’s the first time ever that I’ve allowed anyone to film the creative process.
“It’s an honest, accurate portrayal of the friendliness that’s involved, and the willingness to grasp an idea and explore it to the upmost end that you possibly can, because it’s very important to relay an emotion accurately – and you can’t do that as well using rhythmic structures that are already set in stone and are probably well too overused.
“So, there you go, we flip the beat! We use anti-music, non-music, non-riff, pro-riff, everything that’s there and take it to the ninth degree.”

Pharrell Williams persuaded Calvin Harris to sing My Way

OHMYGOSSIP — Pharrell Williams persuaded Calvin Harris to sing on his new single ‘My Way’.
The 43-year-old ‘Happy’ hitmaker convinced the superstar Scottish producer to sing lead vocals on the track – making it the first song the hunky DJ has sung on since 2014’s ‘Summer’.
Speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music’s Beats 1, Calvin said: “[There’s] only so far you can go with a voice like mine, and there’s a limit to the range. Actually, Pharrell told me something about hitting the notes. Occasionally people try to persuade me to sing again and he was one of those people.”
Calvin, 32, who split from girlfriend Taylor Swift earlier this year, also revealed that Pharrell’s advice and vocal praise encouraged him to try different things.
He said: “It’s not about hitting the notes, it’s about getting the emotion and the feeling and the character across. Once he said that to me, I started looking at myself [and] my voice differently ’cause I was like, ‘Hmm, someone like him picked up on that.'”
The ‘Outside’ hitmaker has previously passed on the lead vocal duties to pop singers including Ellie Goulding and Rihanna, but Calvin has admitted he’s keen to keep recording his voice for his songs.
He added: “Yeah, I’m trying to work hard to do it more. Because also, in tandem with that, there’s a lot of DJ producers, and I look at myself and I think, ‘What do I have to offer that they don’t? What can I do that they can’t?’ “Because you know, we all pretty much do the same thing.”

Gorillaz launch Instagram and new website

OHMYGOSSIP — Gorillaz have teased a major announcement on social media.
The ‘Feel Good Inc’ hitmakers launched a new Instagram account and website on Tuesday (20.09.16) and the first post on the photo-sharing app is about their old EP and 2000’s ‘Tomorrow Comes Today’ from their self-titled debut LP.
The post reads: “Tomorrow Comes Today. The 4 track EP which first unleashed Murdoc, Noodle, Russel and 2D onto an unsuspecting world. Released in 2000. (sic)”
The animated band – comprised of Jamie Hewlett, Damon Albarn – also posted a picture of the words “THE END … until next time (sic)” on their Twitter page.
While many fans have taken to the micro-blogging site concerned that it could be “the end” of the group, it could also be a cryptic message about their new album.
Blur frontman Damon has been recording fresh material since last September for their first LP since 2011’s ‘The Fall’.
The 48-year-old musician revealed that the album should be ready later in the year and he has been enjoying every moment back with his other group.
He previously said: “Later in the year we’ll be starting to get the whole Gorillaz thing together. I’m loving it and it’s getting there. It should be ready fairly soon.”
The virtual band was conceived by Damon and visual artist Jamie in 1998 and is comprised of animated characters 2D, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle and Russell Hobbs – none of the personas are reflective of the real life musicians involved in the project.
Over the years a number of guest singers have worked with Gorillaz including Shaun Ryder – whose track ‘DARE’ was the group’s only UK number one – Mod Def and Gruff Rhys.
Damon recently hinted that he might use songs Adele rejected on the new record.
When asked if he plans on using material recorded with the ‘Hello’ hitmaker, he said: “I never waste anything.”
It was recently revealed that De La Soul have worked on a song for the record along with Snoop Dogg.

Busted hope new album doesn't sound 'too retro'

OHMYGOSSIP — Busted hope their new album doesn’t sound “too retro”.
The reunited pop rock trio – comprised of Charlie Simpson, Matt Willis and James Bourne – are gearing up to release their first record in 13 years, ‘Night Driver’, and guitarist James says they were “worried” it would come across”too throwback”.
He said: “I’m actually pleasantly surprised to hear you say it sounds current, because I was worried it sounded too throwback.”
And frontman Charlie, 31, added: “That was something we were consciously doing: we didn’t want it to sound too retro.
“We wanted to make it – not relevant and what’s in the charts at the moment – just not too throwback to an old-school era.”
The ‘Year 3000’ hitmakers have been influenced by chart-topping electronic producers Skrillex and Diplo for the new LP.
Charlie told Digital Spy: “We’ve all been talking about loving stuff that Skrillex and Diplo and what those guys have been doing, but it wasn’t really like, ‘Oh we want to sound like that’. Maybe that’s what makes it sound like it’s modern because we’ve taken influences from stuff that isn’t what we used to be like, but what we enjoy listening to.”
The trio’s next record will see them ditch the guitars and head in an electronic direction.
And one of the artists Charlie, Matt and James bonded over – when they reunited at the end of 2015 after 10 years apart – was folk artist Bruce Hornsby.
Charlie told the Daily Star newspaper: “When we started to reconnect as a band, James and I were both listening to Bruce Hornsby and The Range.
“It was common ground and mad us think maybe we aren’t far away musically as we thought we were 10 years ago.”
‘Night Driver’ – the follow-up to 2003’s ‘A Present for Everyone’ – will be released on November 11.

Culture Club announce London show

OHMYGOSSIP — Culture Club have announced a show in London.
The iconic 80s pop group – fronted by Boy George – will bring their biggest hits to The SSE Wembley Arena on December 14, where they will perform songs from their back catalogue including ‘Karma Chameleon’ and ‘Do You Really Want to Hurt Me’.
The show will see original band members, Mike Craig, Roy Hay and Jon Moss, perform together in the UK for the first time since 2002 when they did a 20th anniversary concert at the Royal Albert Hall.
In 2006, the band attempted to get back together but without lead singer Boy George, who was to be replaced, but the idea folded.
Five years later in 2011, the band reformed without Jon and in 2014 they performed on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ with Boy George.
The show announcement comes ahead of the release of their new album, ‘Tribes’, which is expected to be released later this year.
Boy George – who announced he will not be returning as a judge on ‘The Voice UK’ next year – previously said that he wanted to bring their sixth studio album out when they have the “best social presence”.
He said: “I want it to come out when we have our best social presence.”
Culture Club were due to release ‘Tribes’ in 2014, but the singer had complications with his vocal chords and so they had to postpone it.
Talking about how fit he is for touring, George recently revealed how he has to have silent days as a part of his throat therapy and joked how it is “very difficult when ordering lunch”.
