Steven Adler to join Guns N’ Roses Buenos Aires shows?

OHMYGOSSIP — Steven Adler is reportedly set to join Guns N’ Roses at their Buenos Aires shows this weekend. The ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’ hitmakers’ original drummer is said to be rejoining the group at the River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Saturday (05.11.16) and Sunday (06.11.16).

Sources have told Argentinean TV show ‘La Viola’ that Adler is likely to perform on two songs, ‘Out Ta Get Me’ and ‘My Michelle’, like he did when he reunited with his bandmates Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan at their gig at the Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati in July.

So far drummer Frank Ferrer has been wielding the sticks for the band on their ‘Not In This Lifetime… Tour’ – which reunited the original trio for the first time in 23 years – as Adler was reportedly unable to fulfil live duties due to back surgery.

Adler, 51, originally left the band in 1990 because of drug addiction, and was replaced by The Cult’s Matt Sorum. The band have long had a reputation for bust ups over the years, but since they regrouped for this year’s Coachella Festival in California in April it has been a harmonious reunion.

The only member of the classic line up yet to make an appearance is rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, and it seems he is unlikely to join his former bandmates any time soon.

Back in March, the 54-year-old rocker said “At this point in time, I will not be playing at any of the April 2016 GNR shows. I’ve also not been in the studio recording or writing with any of the others recently. There is so much speculation, but so very little info, [that] I thought I should reach out.”

Ozzy Osbourne records song for solo album

OHMYGOSSIP — Ozzy Osbourne has recorded a song called ‘Crack Cocaine’ for his solo album. The 67-year-old rocker is currently on a farewell tour with his band Black Sabbath and has been working with Billy Idol’s guitarists Billy Morrison and Steve Stevens on some new music for his first solo record since 2010’s ‘Scream’. It comes after he vowed to continue working when the rest of the group – also comprised of Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler – retire.

He said: “I’m not retiring, I’m gonna carry on. I’ve been writing with Billy Morrison and Steve Stevens. Steve is not gonna be in my band, he’s with Billy Idol. But he’s a friend of Morrison and Morrison and plays with Billy Idol.

“I said, ‘I’ve got ideas,’ and we worked it out. There’s one song that right now is called ‘Crack Cocaine’. It’s like a bluesy thing.”

The ‘Paranoid’ hitmaker plans on focusing on his 12th solo album after the heavy metal legends final show in their hometown at Birmingham’s Genting Arena on February 4, 2017, however, he’s not sure when it will be released.

Speaking to Jose Mangin on SiriusXM, he said: “I don’t wanna say when it will be out. I can’t be working the Sabbath thing and my own thing at the same time.
“I tried that with the Ozzfest, It didn’t work.”

Sabbath’s keyboard player Adam Wakeman previously said that Ozzy – also known as the Prince of Darkness – was keen to do another solo record. He previously said: “Well [Black Sabbath are] finishing [their farewell tour] on February 4th, and then we’ll see what happens with Ozzy after that. “I mean, he wants to do another tour, he wants to do another album, but there’s going to be a period of time when he needs a rest, so yeah, hopefully we’ll be back out.”

Robbie Williams’ album anxiety

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams suffered from extreme anxiety whilst making his new album ‘Heavy Entertainment Show’. The ‘Party Like a Russian’ singer has opened up about how he has spent the last three years stressing out and worrying about his comeback record, which was released on Friday (04.11.16), and how “terrified” he was to share it with the world as he accepts there are millions of people who probably hate his music and think he is a “w*****”.

He told the Daily Star newspaper: “I get anxiety about the album and it’s not like it started last week. I took it into the studio with me for the last three year. I’m terrified of releasing it. When I release a video or a song, lots of people are angry anyway. There’s a lot of people that like but there’s a lot of people that really hate me. I don’t doubt that the truth is there’s a 140 million people going, ‘That Robbie Williams, he’s a w*****!'”

Meanwhile, Robbie recently said he fears he doesn’t “deserve” his BRITs Icon Award. The ‘Rock DJ’ hitmaker – whose 17 past BRIT wins make him the most awarded artist in the history of the ceremony – will pick up the special statuette in recognition of his incredible career at a special event later this month, but he’s concerned his “low self-esteem issues” will prevent him from enjoying the occasion.

He recently said: “It is an honour but what happens is like a mirror going to me, ‘You don’t deserve this’. I will try my best to enjoy the evening but you know I’m a cracked person with low self-esteem issues.”

Robbie is only the third recipient of the Icon Award, following in the footsteps of Sir Elton John and the late David Bowie. Robbie will receive the Icon Award at a special concert in London on November 8, while the main BRIT Awards ceremony will take place on 22 February 2017 at The O2

Kanye West cuts set short due to ‘hoarse’ throat

OHMYGOSSIP — Kanye West cut his set short at The Forum in Los Angeles on Thursday night (03.11.16) because of a sore throat. The ‘Famous’ rapper was performing his ‘Saint Pablo Tour’ show for the final night at the venue in Inglewood, California, when he stopped performing ‘Only One’ to inform the crowd he was unable to carry on singing and said he would “do better next time”.

In a video clip posted by a fan on Twitter, he told the audience: “My voice is so hoarse, I can’t finish the show … I promise I’ll do better next time.”
A whole host of VIP guests were spotted in the crowd at the show including DJ Khaled, Desiigner, Usher, One Direction’s Harry Styles, Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz and T.I.

Kanye is expected to resume his tour on November 17 in San Jose, California.

Meanwhile, the hip-hop star recently gushed to his fans about how lucky he was to have his wife Kim Kardashian West in the crowd at the same venue last month.
The ‘FourFiveSeconds’ singer stopped his set to talk about his love for the 36-year-old beauty, who was involved in a terrifying armed robbery in Paris, France, earlier this month.

He also shared with his fans a touching video he’d made for Kim’s birthday featuring her family. Speaking to the crowd, as Kim, her mother Kris Jenner, her toy boy boyfriend Corey Gamble and Kim’s half-sister Kylie Jenner and her boyfriend Tyga looked on, Kanye said: “I’m so lucky to have my wife here right now.”

Aerosmith to headline Download Festival 2017

OHMYGOSSIP — Aerosmith, Biffy Clyro and System of a Down have been unveiled as the headliners for next year’s Download Festival. The ‘I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing’ hitmakers – fronted by Steven Tyler – will top the bill at the annual music event held at Donington Park, Leicestershire, England, by closing the final night on Sunday June 11.

Joe Perry of Aerosmith said: “Every time we go on tour I look at the schedule for cities, towns or events that I look forward to playing. Download Festival is always one of the ones I circle. Donington is like home to us. I have some great memories playing there and I can’t wait to make some more.”

And ‘Toxicity’ hitmakers System of a Down, who will be headlining for the second time after heading up the main stage in 2011, said: “It’ll have been a couple of years since our memorable ‘Wake Up The Souls’ show at Wembley, so returning to the UK to headline Download, a festival we always love to play, is really exciting for us.

“The energy and atmosphere there is always electric.”

Metallica may be too old to perform Master of Puppets

OHMYGOSSIP — Lars Ulrich thinks Metallica are getting too old to play ‘Master of Puppets’.
The 52-year-old drummer has warned that the metal band’s days of performing the title track from their 1986 album may be numbered.
He told Billboard: “Whether we’ll be able to play ‘Master of Puppets’ in our 70s, I just don’t know. With Metallica, there’s a physicality and a weight that has to be part of it. You can play it less heavy, slower – or you can realise that the music deserves that physical approach, and if the physical delivery isn’t there, then maybe it’s better not to do it.
“You’re trying to prevent something from going off the rails. We’re lowering the percentages of [body parts] breaking mid-show.”
The band – whose other members include frontman James Hetfield, 53, guitarist Kirk Hammett, 53, and 52-year-old bassist Robert Trujillo – formed in 1981 and are set to release their 10th studio album.
And although they’re getting older, Lars says he has been inspired by The Rolling Stones, especially their 75-year-old drummer Charlie Watts.
He added: “The only O.G. drummer… the only road map is Charlie Watts. I can see [playing live] in my 70s, mentally, but I just don’t know about the physicality. That remains the great question mark.”
Lars recently revealed how he found it easier to be part of a “collective” when he was younger as he and his bandmates shared the same values.
He explained: “It’s harder to be part of a collective when you’re older.
“When you’re 22, you all wear the same clothes, drink the same beer, do the same crazy things.
“Then, all of a sudden, you’re in your 30s and 40s and everything has changed.”

Mark Ronson 'never' intended for Lady Gaga's LP Joanne to be an 'honest album'

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Ronson “never” tried to make Lady Gaga’s LP ‘Joanne’ an “honest album”.
The 41-year-old musician, who helped produce the 30-year-old singer’s latest compilation, has admitted the pair of them had no idea what they wanted the album to be like and didn’t intend for it to be “contrived”, but on the second day it started to transform into heartfelt music, which Mark “really loves”.
Speaking to Billboard Online about his collaboration with the blonde beauty, he said: “‘[I] didn’t really know what she wanted to do.
“I was like, ‘F**k, I really love this.’ So we started following that direction – it was never contrived like, ‘We’re going to make this honest album.’ That’s what kept coming out.
“When Bloodpop came in, it got a lot better. He took what we were doing, which was maybe a little, not retro, but very live-music-recorded, and started to chop the s**t out of it.”
However the DJ – who received the Producer of the Year Grammy award in 2008 for Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back to Black’ – has admitted he tries not to have a “specific sound” but is regularly approached by artists who want him to produce a “‘Uptown Funk part two'” or a track similar to his previous successful hits, which he isn’t into.
He explained: “I try not to have a specific sound because A) you can date yourself, and B) every artist needs something different, so you don’t ever know what holes you’re going to have to fill.
“Some people want something that you might have done ten years ago that you’re not really into anymore. You always have to suss out – are they just asking you for ‘Uptown Funk part two?’ Or coming for my unique brand of retro authenticity for whatever the f**k you want to call it?
“Trying to chase that success is also dangerous.”
And Ronson has revealed he keeps his upcoming projects a secret after being fired in the middle of creating a track, and now doesn’t want to be left with “egg on your face”.
He said: “I don’t want bad karma. I never say [what I’m working on] until I’m far down the line, because I’ve been fired once or twice in the middle and then you have egg on your face.”

The Weeknd's Starboy is a David Bowie tribute

OHMYGOSSIP — The Weeknd’s ‘Starboy’ album is a tribute to David Bowie.
The ‘Can’t Feel My Face’ hitmaker – whose real name is Abel Tesfaye – has revealed that his number one collaboration with Daft Punk and his forthcoming record of the same name is partly a salute to the late music legend – who sadly passed away at the age of 69 in January, following a secret battle with cancer – and his 1972 hit ‘Starman’.
He said: “I just love Bowie, I think he’s the ultimate inventor.”
The Wall Street Journal has also reported that the R&B star was due to record with the late Prince before the musical legend passed away in April, of an accidental fentanyl overdose.
The ‘Often’ hitmaker – who is currently dating model Bella Hadid – also spoke of his latest studio experience with ‘Get Lucky’ hitmakers Daft Punk and how their recording space is very “technical” and like a spaceship.
He shared: “Their studio is like a spaceship, there’s a lot of gear, but the way they make music, the way they explain it, is very cinematic.
“It’s like they’re reading a page out of a novel – ‘We want to make sure that at the end, it feels like the sun’s coming up, and maybe there’s a car chase.’ They can get technical, but it was interesting how they visualise making music.”
Meanwhile, the 26-year-old singer has a busy schedule ahead, with a new single, an album release and his first fashion range soon to launch.
The Weeknd’s eagerly-anticipated follow-up to 2015’s ‘Beauty Behind the Madness’ is slated for release on November 25, and features new single ‘False Alarm’.

James Arthur was snubbed by Rita Ora for album track

OHMYGOSSIP — James Arthur was snubbed by Rita Ora for an album track.
The 28-year-old singer has revealed that the ‘Body On Me’ hitmaker- who he had a brief fling with in 2013 – ignored all his calls for a possible duet for his comeback album ‘Back From The Edge’ and so did ‘Still Falling For You’ songstress Ellie Goulding.
He shared: “It was tough to get people involved in this one because I don’t think anyone expected me to come back.
“I was calling Ellie Goulding and Rita Ora, all these guys saying, ‘Do you want to sing this line?’ I got nothing.”
James – who won’The X Factor’ in 2012 under the watchful eye of Nicole Scherzinger – made a triumph return to the spotlight after two years with his latest single ‘Say You Won’t Let Go’ and admits his successful comeback has brought familiar faces out of the woodwork, who insist they never doubted him, although he hadn’t heard from them when he was on a break.
He told The Sun newspaper: “They have all come crawling back saying, ‘Well done, we always believed in you’, I’m like so when I was calling trying to get a feature …
“At least people are humble and have come back and said congratulations.
“I used to speak to Ellie a bit when I first came on the scene. She expressed she was a fan. I didn’t hear from her for a while, so to have her come back and say that is amazing. She is super unique and that’s inspiring to me.”
James has just announced a 14-date UK tour, which kicks off in March 2017 in support of his number one comeback album.

Lana Del Rey could be dropping new song

OHMYGOSSIP — Lana Del Rey could be dropping a new song soon.
The ‘Born to Die’ hitmaker has got fans speculating that she is about to release a new single after a song called ‘Wild Side’ was reportedly registered under the singer’s real name, Elizabeth Woolridge Grant.
According to NME, the track has been co-written by Greg Banks.
The 31-year-old singer teased fans that she was working on a follow-up to 2015’s ‘Honeymoon’ earlier this year, when she posted a photo of herself working in a studio on social media.
Lana previously revealed she has gradually been putting ideas together for her fifth album for some time and she gave an update in December 2015.
At the time, she said: “I do have early thoughts about what I’d like to do with [the album].
“My label, Interscope, is pretty flexible and open to my records coming out at any time, so I don’t have that pressure. I’m just happy to be able to keep on making music I can stand behind. That’s enough for me.”
Last year Lana got to tour with Grunge rocker Courtney Love for her concert series, ‘The Endless Summer Tour’, and she was inspired by her “entrancing” performance.
She said: “Touring with Courtney was great, we have some things in common that might not be visible from the outside.
“I think the most important thing I learned was that some people just have it when it comes to performing. She’s totally entrancing, a born performer.”

Warpaint album inspired by David Bowie's death

OHMYGOSSIP — Warpaint’s latest album was inspired by the death of David Bowie.
The indie-rock band – comprised of Emily Kokal, Theresa Wayman, Jenny Lee Lindberg Stella Mozgawa – went straight into the studio the day after the late ‘Starman’ hitmaker died from cancer (January 10) and the music legend “set the tone” for their record ‘Heads Up’.
Singer Emily told Julie Adenuga on her Beats 1 radio show: “David Bowie had died the day before, and we went into the studio and listened to David Bowie and built our studio out of our practice space.
“We took our practice space and started making it something to record in. It was a great way to enter the studio because it was such a celebration of somebody who was so prolific and such an ever-changing artist. I think that set the tone for what became ‘Heads Up’.”
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles-based rock outfit recently admitted their democratic approach to making music caused tension in the band and the lack of a clear frontwoman drew them together.
Bassist Jenny previously explained: “When we first started playing, that was what we were drawn to, there wasn’t any one person dictating.
“It’s definitely a slow process but it made our sound more original.”
However, the quartet admit it can be a struggle having their opinions heard.
Theresa, 36, added: “Warpaint does have to be all of us. Sometimes you have to fight to be heard – but it’s worth the fight because you’re going to spend the next year-and-a-half playing these songs.
“I want to feel like I’m 100 per cent behind what I’m doing; I didn’t sign up to be in someone else’s band.”
Equality within the band has led to tensions in the past, but the ‘Love is to Die’ hitmakers have come to terms with such frictions.
Jenny said: “Eventually, you get tired of fighting. You realise not everybody’s going to love everything. Those two people really love it, I love them, lets validate them. Unless someone really doesn’t like it …”

Robbie Williams' Icon Award fears

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams fears he doesn’t “deserve” the BRITs Icon Award.
The ‘Party Like a Russian’ singer – whose 17 past BRIT wins make him the most awarded artist in the history of the ceremony – will pick up the special statuette in recognition of his incredible career at a special event later this month, but he’s concerned his “low self-esteem issues” will prevent him from enjoying the occasion.
He said: “It is an honour but what happens is like a mirror going to me, ‘You don’t deserve this’. I will try my best to enjoy the evening but you know I’m a cracked person with low self-esteem issues.”
Meanwhile, the 42-year-old pop star – who has children Teddy, four, and Charlton, two, with wife Ayda Field – admitted his spouse isn’t impressed with all the tracks on his latest album ‘Heavy Entertainment Show’.
Speaking on ‘MTV Asks Robbie Williams’, he said: “I was in the bath with my wife and we were playing the album and the first five songs were like ‘yep, yep’. Then I played one that was written about her . . . and at the end she went, ‘meh, not that one’.” Robbie is only the third recipient of the Icon Award, following in the footsteps of Sir Elton John and the late David Bowie.
The accolade is presented to artists whose work has set them apart as having made a “lasting impact” on the nation’s culture.
And the ‘Angels’ hitmaker previously admitted he is “humbled” to have been honoured with the prize.
He said: “The BRIT Awards are very special to me and I’m humbled to be receiving the 18th of my career.”
Robbie will receive the Icon Award at a special concert in London on November 8, while the main BRIT Awards ceremony will take place on 22 February 2017 at The O2.

Professor Green is all about the music now

OHMYGOSSIP — Professor Green is to focus on his music career from now on.
The ‘Read All About It’ rapper was flung into the spotlight with his failed marriage to former ‘Made in Chelsea’ star Millie Mackintosh, which ended eight months ago, and now he has vowed to put it all behind him and put all of his energy into new music as he admits he got too caught up in fame.
He said: “I took my eye off the ball, I don’t know where the two years went.
“I’ll admit it got away from me. Unfortunately the focus shifted and I became more of this celebrity to people and the focus shifted and I became more of this celebrity to people and the focus shifted on to my personal life instead.
“And some of my fans who don’t buy into that stuff have just been waiting for me to return.”
The 32-year-old rapper – whose real name is Stephen Manderson – has promised not to “neglect” his fans by getting caught up in the celebrity world and plans on dropping new music regularly to show them he is serious.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: “I want to make sure it doesn’t happen again, people need to understand I don’t enjoy leaving a restaurant after two bottles of red wine and having a camera shoved in my face.
“I want to take that camera and shove it up the bloke’s arse, but I don’t.
“I will make sure that I never neglect it again, not just for my fans but for myself.
“Me and Millie never discussed our relationship but people still bought into it and I realise now.
“I’m going to make songs, put it out, make songs, put it out, and keep them coming.”
However, Pro is to get his marriage split off his chest first by referencing it on his forthcoming album.
Asked if Millie will be unhappy with the content, he previously admitted: “I think that can be assumed. But I’m not worried about that.
“People assume they know me and they know the box I fit into but I grew up rapping a totally different way. I hope people will let me release the music and the style that I want. I’m not going to be nice just to sell records.”
Pro unveiled new single ‘One Eye On The Door’ last week, which explains the tragicomic events that occur during a relationship and the excuses and recriminations that follow.
