Metallica booked to tour for two years

OHMYGOSSIP — Metallica plan on touring for at least the next two years.
The legendary metal band dropped their first record in eight years, ‘Hardwired… to Self-Destruct’, last week (November 18) and frontman James Hetfield, 53, says they plan on hitting the road for as long as possible in support of the album.
James said: “We’ve booked out two years. So I can’t predict the future, but we start there and hopefully there’s more than that.”
And fans may not have to wait as long for a new LP from the ‘Enter Sandman’ hitmakers, as James said he is already dying to get into the studio again and doesn’t want to wait as long to put out new songs.
He told told Linea Rock: “I would like to make some new music sooner thank eight years, for sure.
“There’s such a pleasure and a joy of hearing your new music and having other people hear it. So I don’t wanna wait that long.”
It’s taken the band – also comprised of Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo – eight years to pen this release and, although James and Lars are the founding members of the group, bassist Robert, 52, was also allowed to give his two cents this time round.
Robert recently said: “At the end of the day, it’s their baby but I was there for the conception.”
Asked why it’s taken them so long to drop a new LP, James – whose band has toured every year since 2011 – joked: “We had a lot of laundry to do after our last tour.”
Metallica remain the biggest metal act on the planet – with more than one billion streams on the digital music service Spotify – and they’re very much aware of that.
Asked who their biggest fans are, James said: “We are our biggest fans, and Lars is the biggest fan of all of us. His entire house is full with Metallica merchandise.”

Biffy Clyro working on new album?

OHMYGOSSIP — Biffy Clyro have hinted they are working on their next album.
The ‘Many of Horror’ hitmakers topped the UK charts with their seventh studio album ‘Ellipsis’ earlier this year following a three-year break, but have admitted time away didn’t suit them and they are not going to take such a rest before their next record.
When asked what the future holds for the group, bassist James Johnston said: “More Biffy. We’re going to be in your face. We’re not going anywhere.
“We took a break before the last album and we didn’t really like it. It didn’t really work. We’re going to keep going, keep playing shows and keep trying to push ourselves.”
Despite not being happy with a break, Biffy – who are also made up of Simon Neil and Ben Johnston – insist they are “having as much as fun” as they ever have.
James said: “It’s crazy how much we’ve done in a year.
“When I remember back to the start of the year after playing at Hogmanay in Edinburgh and then going to finish off the album and how much we’d done since, it’s quite crazy. We’re having as much fun as we ever have had as a band – we couldn’t be happier.”
As well as returning to the studio, Biffy also headed back to the stage with a headline slot at Reading and Leeds festival this summer, and James admitted the group are thinking about stage production more than ever nowadays.
Speaking to DIY Magazine, he added: “I think it’s just the more you do anything, the more comfortable you are in that environment.
“You’re never fully comfortable standing in front of 50,000 people.
“Certainly, there’s still an edge to that situation and that’s a good thing – it keeps it exciting, it keeps you on your toes.
“It’s trying to push things in terms of the technical aspects of the show – the production is important. I think we can mix [the band’s performance] with some really pretty images and striking things, and this time we tried to play on the perspective a little bit with the stage setting. But I don’t think that should ever overshadow the band.”

The Spice Girls comeback song leaks online

OHMYGOSSIP — The Spice Girls GEM reunion song ‘Song For Her’ has leaked online.
The three-minute upbeat pop tune marks the musical return of Geri Horner, Emma Bunton and Mel B, who have come together again without bandmates Victoria Beckham and Mel C, who have refused to participate in the comeback.
‘Song For Her’ is a chorus-heavy track about female empowerment, with the girls repeatedly singing in harmony: “This is a song for her/ You know you light it up/ You know who you are/ Stand up, stand up/ She’s got that boom-boom pop/ That’s something they can’t stop/ She’s got that song for her.”
Emma, 40, insisted earlier this year that ‘Song For Her’ – which has appeared on Facebook and YouTube – was “not a single” and was instead the result of the girls just having fun in the studio.
She said in July of the then-unheard track: “You know, us girls love creating stuff. We went and had a laugh in the studio. It’s not a single, it’s just we were creating.”
The girls were originally tipped to reunite this year, which would have marked the release of their breakthrough hit ‘Wannabe’, but Mel B admitted they are still finalising the details of their comeback.
She previously shared: “We are going to do something, us three. We’re going to perform and celebrate together for the people.
“I think because we’re a British band, we’re probably going to start in London and work our way round.”
The girls returned to the recording studio in November, but the specifics of their plans are still to be confirmed.
It has, however, been revealed that Victoria and Mel C will not participate in the project.

Adele to play two concerts at Wembley Stadium

OHMYGOSSIP — Adele is to play two mammoth concerts at Wembley Stadium in London next year.
The 28-year-old singing superstar took to Twitter to announce her ‘Adele Live 2017: The Finale’ shows will take place on June 29 and July 1 at the England football team’s ground.
Adele posted a black and white video of herself singing a slightly amended version of football song ‘Three Lions’ – which was recorded by The Lightning Seeds and comedians David Baddiel and Frank Skinner which soundtracked the England team’s journey to the semi-finals of the Euro 96 tournament.
In the clip, Adele, jogging towards the camera, sings: “She’s coming home, she’s coming home, she’s coming…”
The out of breath songstress – who accidentally hits herself in the face with a football as she jogs – then breaks off from the tune to exclaim “good job I’m not a footballer”, before adding: “She’s coming home. That’s right, I’m doing two nights at Wembley Stadium!”
Adele – who wears a scarf of her beloved team Tottenham Hotspur in the clip – then successfully headers a ball in the air and walks off humming the theme tune to BBC football highlights TV show ‘Match of the Day’.
The shows will follow a tour in support of her latest album ’25’ of Australia and New Zealand scheduled for next spring, which will give Adele the experience of performing in stadiums before her two Wembley concerts.

The ‘Hello’ hitmaker – who already has four-year-old son Angelo with Simon – said: “I’ll see ya later, I’ll see ya on the other side. In a couple of years when I’ll be back, you won’t be able to get rid of me. I’m going to go and have a baby.”

Fergie to release second album early next year

OHMYGOSSIP — Fergie has promised to release her new album early next year.
The ‘London Bridge’ hitmaker has finally finished her follow-up to her 2006 debut LP ‘The Dutchess’ and can’t wait to share it with the world.
Answering fans questions on a Live Facebook Chat, she shared: “I am so ready for this album to come out you have no idea.
“I’ve turned it in. It’s done and it’s coming out the beginning of the year.”
The 41-year-old singer – who has three-year-old son Axl Jack Duhamel with her spouse Josh Duhamel – says the reason for the delay in releasing her record was that she was busy trying to be a good mother and husband.
She said: “I”m sorry it has taken so long, to those of you who have been waiting, I got a kid and a husband and I need sleep and I just really cared about it.”
The blonde beauty has teased that there will be a lot of “emotion” and personal lyrics on the album, which she has been holding onto as she wasn’t able to put it out there during her time in the Black Eyed Peas from 2003 to 2006.
She continued: “But I hope it will be worth it. A lot of it is really autobiographical and, you know, I had four albums with Black Eyed Peas, but that’s really not the time and place to air out some of my own personal feelings and thoughts and emotions.
“So my second album is the place for me to do so, there’s a lot of emotion.”
Meanwhile, Fergie previously said she felt ready to get back into the music game as a result of her husaband’s encouragement.
She said: “My husband was really the one who encouraged me.
“He said, ‘It’s who you are, and I want to see you onstage again.'”
Fergie finally feels like she got the balance of being a mother and wife, alongside being a pop star just right.
She said: “The person I’ve worked so hard to become in my career, my destiny to be an entertainer, was matching up with my destiny to have a family and be a mom.”
Fergie recently returned with new single ‘Life Goes On’ and prior to that she released ‘M.I.L.F.$’.

Anthony Kiedis doesn't like sex with 'groupies'

OHMYGOSSIP — Anthony Kiedis doesn’t want to have sex with “groupies”.
The 54-year-old musician has admitted he doesn’t enjoy getting intimate with his fans, and has specifically told security to not let any of his supporters into the hotel he is staying in, although if they do let people slip in the Red Hot Chilli Peppers frontman has revealed he would sack the staff.
Speaking about this strict work life, which he keeps separate from his social life, to Musik, the dark-haired hunk said: “Groupies, no, they don’t get into the hotel. I think the doorman would be fired if he let those people in.”
And the star – who has nine-year-old son Everly with his former partner Heather Christie – has revealed he has never enjoyed “the groupie way” and was more “attracted” to women he met before he became a recognised musician.
He added: “Before we were famous, I think I was more attracted to females in that way, the groupie way, but then the minute we got famous, I was like, this doesn’t feel right anymore.”
And Kiedis has revealed he has no qualms about rejecting people because he enjoys having his own privacy, although he does like having a large group of fans “of different sexes” who enjoy his music.
He explained: “I have no trouble sending people away in general, because I like my privacy. I think people need to respect everybody’s privacy, no matter what the profession, or what the relationship is.
“It’s nice to have fans, it’s nice to have people of different sexes enjoy the music and the experience, but even when I was first starting this band, the groupie thing didn’t really appeal to me because there’s something about someone who wants to be with you because of what you do that seems a little less appealing.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Coldplay are to release new music in 2017.
The ‘Everglow’ hitmakers – made up of Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion – have confirmed they are working on new tunes at the moment for an EP which will be called ‘Kaleidoscope’.
A tweet on the group’s official Twitter account read: “Hello everyone, we’re working on some new songs for next year. It’s called the Kaleidoscope ep. We hope you’re well, love cm #KaleidoscopeEP (sic)”
The band’s last record was seventh studio album ‘A Headful Of Dreams’, which was released in December 2015, and some suggested it could be their last one after frontman Chris hinted the record might be their swansong.
He previously said: “It’s our seventh thing, and the way we look at it, it’s like the last ‘Harry Potter’ book or something like that.
“Not to say that there might not be another thing one day, but this is the completion of something.
“I have to think of it as the final thing we’re doing. Otherwise we wouldn’t put everything into it.”
Coldplay are no stranger to putting out EPs as they released a hat-trick of such records in the late 1990s before they shot to fame.
The band dropped EP ‘Safety’ in 1998, followed by ‘Brothers & Sisters’ a year later and ‘The Blue Room’ in the same year.
But they rose to prominence in 2000 with ‘Shiver’, the first single from their debut album ‘Parachutes’ which became their first top 40 hit.
In June that year they dropped their breakthrough single ‘Yellow’, which reached number four in the UK Singles Chart, and haven’t looked back since.

Iggy Azalea's new single features mystery female vocalist

OHMYGOSSIP — Iggy Azalea is to release a new single in January featuring a female pop vocalist.
The ‘Fancy’ rapper has been sat on her second album – the follow-up to 2014’s ‘The New Classic’ – for months now, but has finally unveiled her plans to drop a new song and she has teased that a mystery singer features on the track.
According to The Idolator, she said: “My album has been finished for months now but of course I have been doing [‘X Factor’], which is a big task.
“I’m going to put my single out, which has a feature on it, a girl singing with me, so that will be in January. I’m really excited.”
The 26-year-old beauty has previously teamed up with Charli XCX, Ellie Goulding, Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez to name a few.
Meanwhile, the buxom blonde previously admitted she was forced to put her record on hold because her personal life “fell apart”.
Iggy “needed a lot of time” to deal with her split from her ex-fiancé Nick Young, after she allegedly caught him having sex with another woman, which led her to delay the release of her LP ‘Digital Distortion’ for a year.
Speaking about the track, which was set to be unveiled this year but had been pushed back to January 2017, she previously said: “It’s no secret, I kind of had my personal life fall apart … I needed a lot of time.
“I mean, you wake up one morning and your fiancé is having a baby with someone else, you’re going to need some time, right?”
She also didn’t want the focus of interviews during the time of promoting her new tracks to be about her relationship.
She explained: “I don’t want to go and promote my album and get asked about my relationship that has just crumbled.”
However, Iggy – whose real name is Amethyst Amelia Kelly – has revealed her break-up has led her to change the direction of the album to suit her current relationship status.
Speaking about the songs on her album, she said: “I just kind of felt like, on top of me needing the personal time, then feeling, ‘Okay, I’m single now. I want to have sexy songs. I want to say stuff about being single’.
“I obviously didn’t write that on my [original] album because when I wrote it I was about to get married.”
