Gnarls Barkley reunion stomped by Donald Trump

OHMYGOSSIP — Danger Mouse says Gnarls Barkley’s reunion was derailed by the election of President Donald Trump.
The 39-year-old producer – whose real name is Brian Joseph Burton – was all set to meet up with his band mate CeeLo Green, 42, to set the ball rolling to make their musical comeback on January 20, the day the US Republican was voted in.
However, their plans fell apart as Danger Mouse watched the events unfold on TV.
Speaking to Zane Lowe on his Apple Beats 1 Radio Show, he said: “The last time we saw each other was the day before the election in Los Angeles.
“And we were supposed to meet the next day and I was like, ‘this thing will be over with by seven West Coast time. I’ll see you around eight or nine or something.’ I was drinking heavily on a couch by myself staring at the TV at that time. I don’t even know where he was.”
Despite nothing come to fruition, Danger says he hasn’t ruled out reuniting with CeeLo – whose real name is –
Thomas DeCarlo Callaway – as that period of their life doesn’t feel “over”.
He said: “That was a part of our lives that never really felt over and never really felt finished and he and I still do discuss it a lot. So that means there’s never not been a potential in my head, so it’s definitely a possibility.”
The pair collaborated on the 2006 album ‘St. Elsewhere’ as well as 2008’s ‘The Odd Couple’ and although CeeLo was busy working on solo material and ‘The Voice’ while Danger Mouse was producing music for artists including A$AP Rocky, CeeLo said in 2015, he was keen for them to make another record.
Asked if he’d spoken to Danger Mouse at the time, he said: “I just talked to him last night. I told him, ‘This is the next thing we should do’. I know he’s about to do the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ album. I hope he does great with that, but I said, ‘Hey, I need you to be able to split your attention. We need another Gnarls album, and so do the people.'”

Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers BST Hyde Park support acts

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers will be joined by a whole host of acts at British Summer Time Hyde Park.
Country duo Ward Thomas, The Head and the Heart, Tyler Bryant And The Shakedown, The Shelters, Diane Birch, Jordan MacKampa, Juanita Stein, Jade Bird and Catherine McGrath will join Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks and The Lumineers at the music event on July 9.
Petty, 66, and his band will celebrate four decades together with their only UK performance of 2017, and a rare one at that, as it is only the second time they’ve played in 18 years, following a triumphant performance at the Isle of Wight Festival in 2012 and two sold-out shows at the Royal Albert Hall.
It could be fans of the ‘I Want Back Down’ hitmaker’s last opportunity to see him perform as the rocker recently hinted that the 40th anniversary tour could be the last.
He recently said: “I’m thinking it may be the last trip around the country.
“It’s very likely we’ll keep playing, but will we take on 50 shows in one tour? I don’t think so. I’d be lying if I didn’t say I was thinking this might be the last big one. We’re all on the backside of our 60s. I have a granddaughter now I’d like to see as much as I can. I don’t want to spend my life on the road. This tour will take me away for four months. With a little kid, that’s a lot of time.”
Amazon Prime customers will have access to the Amazon Prime Terrace at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park.
Ticket holders to the Amazon Prime Terrace will get a great view of the stage, a glass of champagne and access to the The Barclaycard VIP Summer Garden to relax throughout the festival. This year’s line-up also includes The Killers, Justin Bieber, Kings of Leon, Phil Collins, Green Day and Blondie.
Prime members can visit Amazon Tickets at tickets.amazon.co.uk/prime to find out more about available shows, and sign up to Amazon Tickets weekly emails.

Vanessa White delayed EP due to legal reasons

OHMYGOSSIP — Vanessa White was forced to delay her second solo EP ‘Chapter Two’ because of a legal case.
The 27-year-old pop beauty has revealed the track ‘Trust’ is about “snaky people” in the music business and how she had to cut some songs from the mini album, which is expected to drop this spring, because of a sticky situation, which she is not allowed to speak about for legal reasons.
In an interview with the BBC, she shared: “There were certain songs I loved that I couldn’t use any more.
“So I’ve basically had to start again, which is why it’s taken this long.”
It didn’t stop the former Saturdays singer – who had planned on dropping the follow-up to 2016’s ‘Chapter One’ last summer – writing about what happened and by putting her anger and emotions into her songs she feels stronger “mentally” now.
Although, she admits at the time she was “scared” to go into the studio with other people who she didn’t know.
She added: “The silver lining is it’s given me something to write about. I’m in a much better position now, mentally.
“I used to get so scared of going in the studio with people I didn’t know but now, you could put me anywhere and I’d be fine.”
On ‘Trust’, she sings:”I won’t stroke your ego. I’m onto you, I’m onto you. Don’t underestimate my intelligence.”
Vanessa is now channelling an R&B sound for her music away from The Saturdays, which has meant that her previous pop experience has been useless to her solo career.
Recently asked what kind of foundation the ‘All Fired Up’ hitmakers had given her as a solo artist.
She replied: “I guess none, because the kind of things that I’m doing is so different I can’t really take anything from that. I’m grateful for it, you do learn a lot of things but I’m happy to start again.”

Dave Davies explains Kinks reunion hold up

OHMYGOSSIP — Dave Davies didn’t feel “equal” in The Kinks.
The 70-year-old guitarist teamed up with his son Russell for his new album ‘Open Road’ and says he had a lot of freedom “creatively” working with his offspring, which he suggested was lacking in the ‘You Really Got Me’ group and is why he is weary of a reunion.
Quizzed on whether the hold up in reforming is because things weren’t even, he admitted: “Yeah, maybe.
“I don’t know. It’d be lovely to do something, but he’s a bit of a control freak.
“When I was working with Russell on ‘Open Road’, I didn’t feel like I had to fight for my space. Creativity suffers when you’re thinking about how to fight for that.
“Maybe some people thrive in those situations but I don’t.”
The ‘Sunday Afternoon’ rocker also said he doesn’t see the point in potentially ruining their “amazing legacy” in order to make money.
However, he is open to doing something with his brother Sir Ray Davies, 72, whether that be a TV show or the odd song.
Speaking to Rolling Stone magazine, he said: “I think with reunion, The Kinks have an amazing legacy. Why f*** it up by getting ourselves together to make a few bucks? Some things are best left alone. I’m saying that and half of me is saying it would be good to do a show or a TV thing. Or one song.
“There are a lot of different aspects to not doing a reunion. If my contribution was respected not just as part of a collaboration but financially as well … no man is an island. We like to think we’re in control of our lives, but it takes many elements and people.”
Ray said late last year that he wants to reunite the 60s group for Glastonbury festival, despite years of feuding and he hopes the band can headline the annual music festival in Somerset, England at some point.
He said: “Dave and I will definitely work together again. And we want to play live.
“Maybe The Kinks could play Glastonbury?”
Ray and Dave founded the band in 1963 and split in 1996.
However, the brothers performed together for the first time in almost 20 years in 2015, when Ray joined Dave on stage in London for a performance of ‘You Really Got Me’.
The band has had a number of different line-ups over the years but the siblings have featured in each one.
The Kinks’ classic line-up featured Mick Avory on drums and the late Pete Quaife on bass.
Quaife was replaced by John Dalton in 1969 while Bob Henrit took over from Avory in 1984.

Nelly Furtado to retire from music?

OHMYGOSSIP — Nelly Furtado is planning on retiring from music.
The ‘I’m Like a Bird’ hitmaker sees the release of her sixth studio album ‘The Ride’ – which was released last month – as an “ending” and wants to return to the life she led before her comeback, during which she learnt how to sew and helped a friend by working at their record store.
Asked what she got up to during her five-year hiatus, she said: “This ranged from going back to university to study scriptwriting, to work in the record store of a friend.”
On what the future holds, according to the Daily Star newspaper, she confessed: “For me, the album is kind of an ending.”
The brunette beauty – who has 13-year-old daughter Nevis with ex Jasper Gahunia – recently admitted she struggled with juggling being a mother at the age of 22 and her music career, and she was forced to take time out when her business relationship failed.
She revealed: “My life was pretty much on fast-forward from the age of 20.
“I signed my first record deal, and then it was constant juggling of my work and my home life. I became a mother at quite a young age, I was 25, then I had a long-term business relationship [with her ex-manager] who was like a father figure to me. A couple of years ago I realised we had to part ways, and when that ended I took a look at a bunch of stuff in my life, and had this urge to simplify it. I didn’t quit music, but I quit juggling. I thought, ‘I’m going to clean my own toilet and wash my own underwear!'”
The 38-year-old singer’s latest album was her channelling her emotions creatively and realising what she wanted from life by digging out the “truth” from the people around her.
She explained: “The album is all realisations. I didn’t wanna be surrounded by bull**** anymore; I want to demand truth from the people around me and from myself. It’s about dreams not always matching up to reality and coming out of the other side.”

Emily Eavis teases lots of secret Glastonbury sets

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Eavis has teased there will be several “secret sets” at Glastonbury this year.
The Somerset festival’s organiser says there are plans to celebrate 10 years of the famous The Park stage, which has seen the likes of Guy Garvey, Ryan Adams and Rag ‘n’ Bone Man grace in the past, with special and extremely confidential performances planned.
Speaking to NME magazine, Emily – who manages the acts playing with her father Michael Eavis – spilled: “It’s 10 years of The Park, so there’s gonna be some stuff out there. I guess there’s a few artists who come and get a feel for it, who are going to try and doing something a bit off the beaten track. There will be a couple of those appearances, but I can’t give too much away on that side.”
With rumours still swirling about who could be set to perform this year, Emily insisted that many of them are “ludicrous” and suggested they still haven’t decided on who could bet set to storm the stage.
Pressed for who could be set to surprise festival-goers, she said: “Well, it could be anyone, couldn’t it? The rumours are ridiculous here. I think it’s something to do with all being fenced in and away, away from the outside world for five days. So anything’s possible.
“Any ideas about what’s happening in the outside world are so ludicrous and so all these rumours circulate. I don’t know what they could be this year, who knows?”
The blonde beauty recently confirmed that Blossoms are confirmed to perform on the Pyramid Stage.
She said: “We just confirmed Blossoms for the Pyramid Stage as well, which is great. They are one of our favourite new bands from 2016. They played at Pilton Party last summer, which is our special event to say thank you to the locals.”
They join headliners Ed Sheeran, Foo Fighters and Radiohead.
Katy Perry, Stormzy, Bee Gees legend Barry Gibb, The xx, Royal Blood, Biffy Clyro, The National, Chic, Major Lazer, Lorde, The Jacksons, The Flaming Lips, Emeli Sande, Halsey, George Ezra and Kaiser Chiefs are also on the bill.

Bruce Springsteen memorabilia up for auction for $7.5m

OHMYGOSSIP — More than 300 pieces of Bruce Springsteen memorabilia are to be put up for auction for $7.5 million.
The Ultimate Springsteen collection, as it has been dubbed by dealer Moments in Time, features an impressive collection of items from the musician’s legendary career, including guitars, lyrics and clothing.
Moments in Time CEO Gary Zimet told Billboard: “It’s extraordinary that one person could assemble such a truly unbelievable collection.”
Among the items set to go under the hammer are Bruce’s 4F card, which excused him from service in the Vietnam War, as well as various drafts of the lyrics of ‘Born to Run’.
Each item carries a set price, but Zimet has already confirmed he would consider selling the pieces on an individual basis.
Meanwhile, despite being among the best-selling musicians of all time, Bruce admitted earlier this year that he still suffers from stage fright.
The 67-year-old icon has played in front of sold out crowds all over the globe, but Bruce revealed he is still bothered by last-minute nerves.
He previously explained: “It varies from night to night but whenever you’re going out in front of a crowd of any size, your body knows it.
“This is what I do. This is the only thing I do. This is the only thing I’m qualified to do. So it matters how I do it at night.
“There’s a lot of anticipatory anxiety which then translates into a raw shot of adrenaline once you’re out there. We come out to press our case very hard, about what we think about everything, I suppose, and life itself. And so it’s challenging nightly.”
Bruce also admitted he still feels anxious when he has to play new material for the first time.
He shared: “You work on an album in a hermetically sealed environment. One of the most frightening things is playing it for someone else. For the first time you’re hearing it through their ears.
“They’re just sitting there, but you’re hearing the thing totally brand new through their ears. And you’re recognising all its faults and all its strengths. So the thing about coming out in front of an audience every night is that I’m hearing what I’m doing through that audience’s ears.”

Jay Kay contemplated quitting music entirely

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamiroquai singer Jay Kay contemplated not returning to music because of how “overwhelming” the industry is nowadays.
The ‘Virtual Insanity’ hitmaker just made his comeback with the acid jazz band’s eighth album ‘Automaton’ and has opened up about how daunting it was coming back into the business, which has advanced with the rise of social media and streaming, after a six-year hiatus.
Asked what the most difficult part of getting back together was, he told the latest issue of Highsnobiety magazine: “The most challenging part was actually starting up again. I didn’t know whether I particularly wanted to carry on in the business because it can be overwhelming.
“It’s a little bit different when you’re younger, but the whole industry has changed so dramatically now. Although you see artists who were from an era before me carrying on, they tended to have all their major stuff release long before the whole internet and social media thing ever came along.”
The 47-year-old singer – who took a break to raise his two children, Carla, two, and five-month-old Tallulah with his wife Maria – was put off by the “workload” involved in releasing records now, but his passion for music overrode those feelings.
Explaining the differences in the release cycle, he said: “I still started at a time when you put out one single, an A- and a B-side, and then you had an album and that was really it. There might have been a 12-inch remix as well, but now things have changed so dramatically that you almost have four times the workload and there was no ‘least challenging’ part to that. So it was definitely deciding to start up and debating whether it was worth it, but then again you continue to do it because you love doing it and you love creating music.”
Ultimately, it was the “buzz” in having thousands of fans screaming the words to his songs back at him that made him return.
He added: “I love the buzz of starting with a blank sheet of paper then seeing songs come together, especially when you see and know when they’re finished, and when you are overdoing or overcooking them, and when you feel you’ve got it right.
“The buzz of creating something from scratch and seeing that lyric you came up with in your head go onto a record, and then off to the radio and eventually you end up with 30,000 to 40,000 people singing that line that you thought of when you were wandering around your garden thinking, ‘What can I do for a chorus?’ — that’s the buzz and that’s why most musicians do what they do.”
Highsnobiety is on shelves from April 11.

The Killers will have new music for BST Hyde Park

OHMYGOSSIP — The Killers will have new material to perform when they play British Summer Time Hyde Park on July 8.
The ‘Smile Like You Mean It’ rock group’s drummer, Ronnie Vannucci Jr., has revealed they are nearing completion of their first record since 2012’s ‘Battle Born’, and although it may not be ready for the festival held at London’s Hyde Park, they will definitely have some new songs to share with their fans.
Speaking to NME magazine, Ronnie said: “It’s sounding good.
“We have a problem with taking two steps forward and one step back, so that makes it take longer. We keep asking ourselves: ‘What does a four- piece band do? How do you keep it fresh?’ It’s a constant exercise in experimentation.”
The group – also comprised of frontman Brandon Flowers, guitarist Dave Keuning and bassist Mark Stoermer – are perfectionists when it comes to their music and want to make sure the new stuff is out of their comfort zone.
He explained: “We’re trying to arrive at something we’re all just a little bit uncomfortable with. When everyone is slightly uncomfortable, then we know we’re there.
“We’re just pushing it in different directions, then bringing it back and trying another direction.”
Asked if they’ll have new music for the summer show, he added: “By then we’ll have some new s**t for y’all.”
Singer Brandon previously teased that the record is sounding “heavier” than any of their previous work.
He said: “There are moments that feel heavier than anything we’ve ever done, not that we’re the heaviest band in the world, but they have a finesse because of our experience.
“There’s also really beautiful things. Lyrically, it’s really close to home.”
The ‘Somebody Told Me’ hitmaker also shared some details of certain tracks, which he expects to be included in the final track-listing
They are ‘Rut’, ‘Run For Cover’ – which came from a session they did with producer Stuart Prince in 2004 for their third studio album, ‘Day & Age’ – and one about boxing legends Mike Tyson and Buster Douglas’ famous fight in 1990, which is named ‘Tyson Vs Douglas’.
He explained: “There’s one called ‘Rut’ and were all kind of excited about what was happening with that.
“Another is called ‘Run For Cover’ and that comes from ‘Day & Age’.
“So it’s eight-years-old. It started with Stuart Price and it’s still sort of has his stamp on it – but we’re funnelling it back through the band eight years later with a different producer.”

OHMYGOSSIP — James Arthur has announced his first ever UK arena tour.
The ‘Say You Won’t Let Go’ hitmaker will embark on a nine-date run including his debut at London Wembley’s The SSE on November 24, and the 29-year-old hunk can’t wait to take his live show to the “next level”.
He said: “It is unreal that I’ll be doing my first UK arena tour this November! The last tour was the best experience and now I cannot wait to take it to the next level in arenas. Thanks again for the continued support and can’t wait to see you there.”
The pop star – who shot to fame after winning the ‘The X Factor’ in 2012 – will be supported by ‘Ghost’ hitmaker with Ella Henderson.
Meanwhile, James recently said he plans on living out in the US to work on some songs he’s been sent by Steve Aoki.
The ‘Safe Inside’ musician plans on getting an Airbnb in America soon so he can work on the tracks with the DJ who he met through One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson.
He recently said: “I really love it out there, I wish I was still there.
“It feels so good to be recognised there because I have been inspired by so many American artists.
“It’s great working with people like Steve. He’s been in the game for so many years and he is such a gentleman, such a genuine guy.
“He showed me songs he thought I would sound good on, which is really cool. So hopefully we’ll get something.
“It’d be nice to get a p lace in the States, I’ve spent quiet a lot of time in over there and I will be in the next year or so just because this song (‘Say You Won’t Let Go’) seems to be really taking off. It’s on fire. I could get a fancy Airbnb or something.”

Jay Kay has been busy being a dad on hiatus

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamiroquai singer Jay Kay has been busy raising two children while on his self-imposed hiatus from music.
The ‘Hot Property’ singer has just returned with the acid jazz band’s eighth album ‘Automaton’ and they played an incredible sold-out show at The Roundhouse in Camden, London, on Friday night (31.03.17), their first show in the UK for six years.
Jay has now revealed the reason for his absence is that he has fallen in love with a woman he will only name as Maria and they have had two daughters, Carla, two, and five months old Tallulah, and he wanted to be around for the early part of their lives.
Recalling his “Sliding Doors moment” when he spotted Maria whilst driving though central London in a taxi in the spring of 2007 and decided to pull over, he said: “I recognised Maria’s face from a little skirmish we’d had abroad years previously. Our meeting again was a real ‘Sliding Doors’ moment. I’ve always wanted a family, but I’d reached 45 and wondered if it would ever happen. I’m a touch late, but it’s brilliant … Of course, when Maria told me she was pregnant I asked myself, as any man does, ‘Is it a boy?’ But my friend Charley Boorman has two girls, and he told me it works out really well in the end. Girls are a bit more mellow.”
Jay penned the song ‘Carl’ as a tribute to his oldest daughter and he admits it’s been tough being away from them both to rehearse with his band ahead of their return.
In an interview with The Times newspaper, he shared: “I’ve been rehearsing for four days and I miss my children like crazy. Last time I went home I got a cuddle that lasted 20 minutes. Do you know how amazing a 20-minute cuddle feels?
“After the last album I was on a treadmill. I can’t do it for ever. And I don’t want my daughters seeing me on TV when they’re growing up. I don’t want them seeing the bad side of this game. I want to be there.”
Jay’s own upbringing has shaped his attitude to parenting as he was raised by his mother, singer Karen Kay, and did not meet his father, Portuguese guitarist Luís Saraiva, until 2001 and he wants to ensure he is always present in his kids’ lives.
The ‘Cosmic Girl’ hitmaker – whose identical twin brother David died a few weeks after they were born – said: “I am totally serious about my missus and kids. My biological dad and my mum were adopted, my identical twin died and my parents split. There’s a whole history of insecurity there. And so this is it. I am the dad for my girls. Forever. I don’t want them calling any other man ‘Daddy’. They’ve got me for life.”

will.i.am releases music video shot on Coronation Street set

OHMYGOSSIP — will.i.am has released his music video for ‘Fiyah’ filmed on the ‘Coronation Street’ set.
The Black Eyed Peas star went to Manchester on March 14 to shoot scenes at the British soap’s famous pub, the Rovers Return, and has now dropped the promo for his new single – inspired by the word he made up, ‘Fiyah’, which he regularly uses on ‘The Voice UK’ – which he made “in appreciation of British culture”.
Sharing the video on his Twitter account, he wrote: “In appreciation of #BritishCulture Check out my video for #FIYAH filmed at #coronationstreet @itvcorrie (sic)”
The lyrics include a line about spending £150,000 on drinks at the pub.
He says: “Spend a hundred-fifty grand in here.”
It also features singer India Love, who can be seen playing on the slot machines.
As well as the Rovers, Nick Tilsley’s [Ben Price] Bistro and Norris Cole’s [Malcolm Hebden] Kabin newsagents are shown.
When will filmed the scenes he caused “chaos” with around 20 dancers dressed as clones and lots of “fire and explosion”.
The ‘Scream and Shout’ hitmaker even got the “seal of approval” from legendary ‘Corrie’ star Beverley Callard, who plays Rovers Return landlady Liz McDonald on the show.
An insider close to the ITV previously revealed: “After much persuading of producers, and the seal of approval from ‘Corrie’ veteran Bev Callard he wangled his way on to the set. It’s going to be chaos – loads of special effects on the cobbles and in the pub. will wants as much fire and explosion as the set can handle.
“They are even booting out the actors and crew early from filming so will’s 20 dancers can rehearse.
“It’s a complete nightmare and ‘Corrie’ producers are hoping the Street comes out of it unscathed.”
Speaking about her meeting with the 41-year-old star recently, Beverley said: “will.i.am told us he does want to film his new video in the Rovers.
“He has said he is very keen but just needs to find a suitable time. He said we can all join in. We’re all so excited.”

Swedish House Mafia say DJs party less

OHMYGOSSIP — Swedish House Mafia stars Axwell Hedfors and Sebastian Ingrosso think it’s “cute” how DJs “party less” nowadays.
The EDM duo shot to fame when their Tinie Tempah collaboration ‘Miami to Ibiza’ charted at number four in the UK Chart in September 2010, and they say things were a lot messier back in the day, so much so that boozing often came before the music.
Axwell, 39, said: “The young people party a lot less than we used to, when we came on to the scene partying was the main thing and the music came second.
“It was pretty messy back then for us but now those coming through now, it’s pretty cute how they party.”
However, Axwell thinks it is important that stars today are more “serious” about their career as it is so much more competitive than it used to be.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: “It’s more serious now, people look at it like a league sport because there’s so much competition – you need to make 10 songs every week to compete.”
The pair now perform under the name Axwell Λ Ingrosso following Swedish House Mafia’s split after their ‘One Last Tour’ in March 2013 – with former member Steve Angello – and are hoping the fact they like to “experiment” will give their new single ‘I Love You’ a running chance at topping the charts.
Ingrosso said: “We love to experiment and it’s important as a lot more people can make music in their homes now.”
The pair are looking at cutting back their shows in Ibiza and are keen to come back to the UK as much as possible.
Axwell said: “We have played Ibiza for so many years, so we are only doing a couple of shows here now but making them as crazy as possible.
On their plan to come back to the UK, he added: “We know how to hustle our way back in, we aren’t going anywhere, we will keep coming until you build a gate.”

Ed Sheeran set to drop new music later this year

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran is set to release a number of secretly-recorded songs later this year.
The singer-songwriter recently returned to the spotlight after taking a year-long hiatus from the industry – and shortly after the release of his chart-topping album ‘÷’, Ed is already preparing to release new material which he record in Ghana, with the likes of Fuse ODG and hip-hop duo R2Bees.
He told The Sun newspaper: “We made a bunch of music, one song made the album then there’s more coming out.
“There’s actually a full song being released with me, Fuse and R2Bees.”
Ed visited Ghana in June 2016 to seek musical influences for ‘÷’, which has proven to be a huge commercial success since its release in March.
Meanwhile, Ed previously revealed he is planning to make a movie.
The 26-year-old star said earlier this year that he planned to temporarily move away from the music industry and instead focus his attention on a Richard Curtis-style film.
He shared: “I really want to make a film that I do the soundtrack for and star in – that’s my next thing.
“I look at a film like ‘Notting Hill’ and I think that’s like a brilliant benchmark, or ‘Once’. So if you were to mix ‘Notting Hill’ with ‘Once’, I would say that would be a good start.
“I don’t think I will do an album as a soundtrack, but I will definitely put together a soundtrack with a bunch of my songs on it, but I don’t think it will be an album.”
Ed also admitted he already has some concrete plans in place for his latest artistic venture.
The ‘Shape of You’ hitmaker said: “I am in talks with one filmmaker that I really f***ing love and we are going to slowly but surely put something together.
“I would want to cast all unknowns. I want to have low-budget, indie, British-made film.”

Noel Gallagher gets Teenage Cancer Trust award

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher has received a Teenage Cancer Trust award.
The 49-year-old rocker was handed the award for his services as an ambassador for the charity – which helps raise money for cancer research in young people – as they marked 100 shows at the iconic Royal Albert Hall in London.
According to the website, the awards were handed out to “every artist who has given up their time over the last 17 years to headline for free for Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall, raising many millions for young people with cancer.”
The former Oasis member branded the week of shows at the famous venue as an important part of the “musical calendar”, and praised the work of The Who’s Roger Daltrey, who books the acts for the charity event.
Speaking in a video uploaded to the charity’s YouTube channel on Sunday (02.04.17), the ‘In The Heat of the Moment’ hitmaker said: “I don’t think anyone at the time would have thought it would have become such a part of the musical calendar. It’s a great thing Roger has done. It doesn’t take much convincing to get me here, I love the kids and the charity and all that but I never tire of playing the Albert Hall. There’s something only musicians will experience walking out on that stage, it’s quite a magical feeling. I’ve never done a bad show here.”
Meanwhile, Roger previously said he’s considering handing over the responsibility of booking the shows to someone like Noel when he steps down in a few years time.
He said: “I’d like to do 20 years and that’d be enough for me. I’ll probably hand it over to Noel [Gallagher] or someone. One of the younger mob.”
“I think in three years time, it’ll be time for me to find someone else to pick up my reigns. I’m sure there’ll be someone be there to do it. I will warn them that it’s much more work than they’d think it is. But it’s the most rewarding work that you’ll ever do, not financially or in anything like that, but it fills you up with something money can’t buy. It’s amazing.”
