John Mayer's opinion of Fifth Harmony without Camila Cabello

OHMYGOSSIP — John Mayer doesn’t think Fifth Harmony works without Camila Cabello.
The 39-year-old guitarist took to Instagram Live to share his thoughts on his ex-girlfriend’s departure from the girl group – comprised of Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane and Lauren Jauregui – and even suggested what the ‘Work from Home’ hitmakers would sound like if he were to join them.
Going through notes on the keyboard, he explained: “So I like Fifth Harmony, but then Camila left the band and now it’s just this. Do you see what I’m saying? They need this. All they have is this. So they need to get this.
“If you really wanted to add me, you get this. And that is one too many notes. Point being … hi Camila.”
It’s not the first time the ‘Gravity’ hitmaker has spoken about the 20-year-old beauty’s exit.
In January, he wrote: “Fifth Harmony is a talented group of young ladies.”
And said that Lauren, 20, will be the next big star.
At the time, he wrote: “Lauren feels like the next star.”
And the girls even Photoshopped an image of the four of them with Mayer.
Alongside the photo, they wrote: “..we know numbers can be tricky sometimes @johnmayer #BeThe5thChallenge 5/5 (sic)”
To which he replied: Oh will I? 7/27 …Drops mic (sic)”
Meanwhile, Camila’s solo career is going from strength to strength.
The ‘Bad Things’ singer recently hit the studio with OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder to work on a song for her debut solo record.
The ‘Counting Stars’ hitmaker took to Twitter in the early hours of Wednesday morning (05.04.17) to share a video that gives fans an insight as to what they’ve been working on together.
The clip shows someone walk in on them and ask: “Did you guys get the last line of that chorus yet?”
And in response the pair clapped simultaneously.
Confirming they are working on something the brunette beauty shared loads of heart and musical note emojis on her in Twitter.

The Muse to drop new song 'soon'

OHMYGOSSIP — The Muse will drop a new song “soon.”
The rock band – comprised of Matt Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard – have been teasing new music for months now but it looks like the end is finally in sight as they have shared some footage of them recording in the studio.
Matt uploaded a video on his Instagram account of him with a guitar swung around his neck offering up feedback to producers after listening back to the track.
He accompanied it with the caption: “Back in the studio. New song coming soon…”
As well as a new song on the way, the trio are set for a busy summer as they’ve been confirmed to top the bill at this year’s Reading & Leeds, which take place between August 25 and August 27, for the first time since their gig at the festivals in 2011.
The ‘Uprising’ hitmakers have teased that they will share more about their “plans”, which could mean they expand on their rumoured idea to levitate off magnetics on stage, closer to the time but are currently remaining tight-lipped on their show.
Organiser Melvin Benn said last year when the announcement was made: “I’m thrilled to be able to announce Muse as the first headliner for Reading and Leeds 2017. Their incredible live show promises to be an unforgettable performance – we have so much more to announce and I can’t wait to reveal the rest of the line up.”
The band will join ‘Cold Water’ hitmakers Major Lazer – comprised of Diplo, Walshy Fire and Jillionaire – and metal champions Architects at the festivals.
Bastille, Against The Current, Andy C, At The Drive-In, Danny Brown, Glass Animals, Tory Lanez and While She Sleeps are also set to perform.

Matty Healy teases new The 1975 music

OHMYGOSSIP — The 1975’s Matty Healy has teased the band may release new music this year.
The ‘Love Me’ hitmakers only released their second album ‘I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It’ last year, but it seems they are already working on new material as the band’s frontman Matty Healy has said they will be putting out a “new vinyl” this year.
Taking to Twitter on Wednesday (05.04.17), Matty said: “We’re putting out a new vinyl this year (sic)”
As of the time of writing, it as not been revealed if the vinyl will be brand new music, or if it will take the form of a live album or re-release.
The news comes after the ‘Chocolate’ musician – who is joined in his band by Adam Hann, Ross MacDonald, and George Daniel – took to his social media account earlier this week to say he will “retreat from the world” to work on their third album, which he teased would be called ‘Music For Cars’.
He wrote: “I like it when you sleep is coming to an end
“Music For Cars
“NOW I will retreat from the world to make Music For Cars. Please keep informing me. I learn so much from our fans and I value you so much x
“Just music from now on. Informed by you. The young. (sic)”
Meanwhile Matty – who’s band won the BRIT award for Best British Group earlier this year and were nominated for Album of the Year – has admitted winning awards makes him feel uncomfortable because he suffers from impostor syndrome, which is the inability to internalise accomplishments.
He said: “It’s an important moment for us because we’re a subversive act to have broken through on such a level that the BRITs would want us to perform.
“I’m not from the BRITs world. I shouldn’t be and everyone needs to know that. I couldn’t get arrested until I was 23.
“Actually, I did get arrested when I was 23, but you know what I mean. I suffer massively from impostor syndrome.”

Martin previously revealed he and the Bieber look to each other for advice.
The pair have a unique friendship because they are going through similar things.
He said: “We’re both young, both touring on the road a lot and both love music. We can really talk about that.
“He said, ‘You should come with me to Australia, it’s going to be crazy’, and I was like, ‘Yeah, let’s do it’. Besides this tour we are also very good friends, we Face Time every now and then. Good times.”

Ronan Keating gets his own breakfast show on Magic Radio

OHMYGOSSIP — Ronan Keating has landed a hosting gig with his very own Magic Radio breakfast show.
The 40-year-old former Boyzone singer will be on air weekdays alongside Magic’s Harriet Scott.
Sharing his excitement of his new role, he said: “I can’t wait to get started with the new Magic Breakfast show. We’ll make sure you get the perfect start to your day with plenty of laughs and all the songs you love”.
And his co-star Harriet added: “Sitting alongside Ronan is going to be a great way to start the day. I’m really excited to be launching this brand new show; it’s going to be a huge amount of fun and I can’t wait to get started.”
The ‘Life Is a Rollercoaster’ hitmaker has appeared as both an ‘X Factor’ and ‘Voice’ judge in Australia and he’s even turned his talents to the big screen having starred alongside Jenny Seagrove in British drama ‘Another Mother’s Son’.
On Magic Radio, he joins a lineup which includes former ‘Great British Bake Off’ presenter Mel Giedroyc, singer Rick Astley, Kim Wilde and former Spice Girl, Melanie C.
Magic Breakfast with Ronan Keating and Harriet Scott will launch later this year.
Meanwhile, Ronan recently revealed he was told by a producer he couldn’t sing in the early part of his career.
He said: “[My music career started with] getting cigarettes and bottles of beer thrown at us …
“A producer kept saying, ‘The blond one can’t sing – get rid of him,’ and I knew I could be dropped in a heartbeat. I had to prove them wrong.”
And while Ronan is keen to turn his hand to acting, he admits it was tough at first to dispel any myths about him as he was in a boy band.
He added: “I’m genuinely excited about it. It’s been an issue I’ve had for most of my career. When you’re in a boy band, you’re fitting the mould that people want you to be. I spent years foolishly trying to prove myself, trying to make everybody happy. I should have concentrated on the people that mattered to me …
“It’s a career I’ve been trying to do for years and years and years. I’ve been trying for almost as long as the other career.”

Idris Elba's surprise appearance at Skepta charity gig

OHMYGOSSIP — Idris Elba made a surprise appearance at Skepta’s charity gig in London on Tuesday night (04.04.17).
The 44-year-old actor hit the stage to introduce the grime superstar for his sold-out show at the Islington Assembly Hall, which was organised by homeless combatting organisation Shelter.
The former ‘Luther’ star seized the opportunity to shed light on the government’s cuts to housing benefits for young people.
Speaking to the cheering crowd, he said: “It’s 2017, there’s 850 people here tonight but there’s like at least 1,000 men and women on the streets tonight. That’s f*****y. We need to do something, that’s why we’re here, that’s why we back Shelter.”
Moreover, he pointed to the sad number of homeless people in the country.
He said: “We have one of the strongest currencies in the world. Why do we have 60,000 women and single mothers homeless? That’s f*****y, that’s bull***.”
Skepta – whose real name is Joseph Junior Adenuga – himself declared: “We’re all here for a good cause and a good reason, and that’s to support Shelter to end homelessness. Thank you to everyone for being here. Every penny goes to a good cause. Tonight is about all of us being together. This is about us all giving back. Everyone should give back.”
The crowd went mad as the Mercury Prize winner performed his greatest hits and was joined on stage by A$AP Rocky, Shorty and JME.
The live performance of A$AP and Skepta’s 2016 hit ‘Put That On My Set’ set the fans into a frenzy and the room exploded with the pure energy of grime beat power.
According to Shelter, the gig raised £30,000 to help fight bad housing and homelessness.
The star-studded concert also included VIP guests such as ‘Burn’ hitmaker Ellie Goulding and BBC Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo.
Ahead of the show, Skepta said: “I’m happy to hear the people at Shelter want me to play a show there, I am a man of the people and I can’t wait to touch down.” Graeme Brown, interim chief executive of Shelter, said: “We’re delighted to have Skepta’s support and this is a great way for his fans to enjoy an exclusive performance while also supporting Shelter. We regularly speak to renters grappling with high rents, short tenancies and poor conditions. Many are terrified of being made homeless. No one needs this kind of stress and upheaval in their lives.”
The charity can be supported by texting SHELTER to 70444 to donate £3.

The ‘Famous’ rapper’s seventh studio album has been certified by the RIAA following its release last February.

The 39-year-old musician made it clear that he would no longer be releasing music in CD form last year.
He posted on Twitter: “Uuuuum … hi everybody! … I was thinking about not making CDs ever again … Only streaming … the Yeezus album packaging was an open casket to CDs r.i.p … uuuuuuum, so there it is … No more CDs from me (sic)”
His 18-track LP was only made available through Jay Z’s streaming service TIDAL, and Kanye stated that the album will never be available via Apple Music.
Kanye – who has who has three-year-old daughter North and 15-month-old son Saint with his wife KIm Kardashian West – previously slammed Apple Music and Tidal for ruining the “music game”.
The hip-hop star – who is also known as Yeezy – urged Apple to buy his pal Jay Z’s exclusive streaming site before they “f**k up” the whole music industry.

Alessia Cara wrote song for Rihanna's Anti

OHMYGOSSIP — Alessia Cara wrote a song for Rihanna’s LP ‘Anti’ – but it didn’t make the final cut.
The 20-year-old pop beauty revealed one of her favourite moments of 2016 was penning the track, but she was forced to clarify her comment as fans thought she had written the song for her next record.
During an interview for the 2017 Juno Awards, Alessia revealed: “I got to meet Rihanna, which was really crazy.
“I didn’t take a picture with her. I just met her and it was awesome. It was to work on her album, which was crazy. So I just went in there, and was like, ‘Hi! great to meet you, I love you!’ Then I just kinda did my thing and left.”
Taking to Twitter to make it clear it was for ‘Anti’, she wrote: “fyi: I was referring to ANTI, not the next album!! and she didn’t end up using the song. (sic)”
Despite meeting the 29-year-old R&B superstar, the ‘Stay’ hitmaker hasn’t kept in contact with the ‘Work’ singer, but it was a moment she’ll never forget.
Asked if they are still in touch, she said: “I don’t even have her number, it was a hi and bye.
I went for the handshake and she went for the hug, she was so sweet. I love Rihanna, like I’m obsessed. Just meeting her was crazy and no one really knew about it. I didn’t even want to take a picture, because this moment, I’m gonna have this in my brain.”
Alessia’s not the only songwriter whose work ended up in the reject pile, as Rihanna turned down a song called ‘Bird Set Free’ written by Sia and Adele.
Sia, 41 – said in 2015: “We wrote three songs in two days and none of them made the cut and this was one of them.
“I said to [Adele], ‘Do you mind if I pitch it to, say, Rihanna?’ And she said, ‘Yeah, but can you take my vocal off it because I don’t want my vocal floating around out there on a demo’.
“So I went and re-cut the vocal and everybody in my life was like, ‘You can’t give this away to anybody.'”
Although others insisted she should have kept the track for herself, she offered it to Rihanna, but in the end she didn’t think it was “edgy” enough for her.
Sia added: “Well actually I believe she did [get a chance to consider it] and she passed.
“We sent it to her, but it’s not really her so I don’t know why I thought that. It is a smash, but she’s a little more edgy.”

TLC announce final album

OHMYGOSSIP — TLC’s fifth and final album is to be released on June 30.
The duo – Tionne Watkins and Rozonda ‘Chilli’ Thomas – announced in January 2015 that they were financing the record through a Kickstarter campaign and set a target of $150,000 [£120,540].
They reached more than the total in just two days, with fans donating $430,255 [£345,752.92].
However, the ‘No Scrubs’ hitmakers’ manager Bill Diggins has since revealed they are set to drop the album in June and will be making a music video this month.
He said on the fundraising page: “The album date is firm, June 30 is the release of the new TLC album that you made happen.
“Tionne and Chilli have been working night and day to hit this date. The video and a photo shoot is on April 18, 19 and 20.”
The duo are still undecided on the name of their new album and they are asking their fans for suggestions.
The upcoming record will be their first studio LP since the death of founding member Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes in 2002.
Her death ended the group but the remaining singers are reformed and already have a sold out gig in at London’s Koko on May 9th, despite the album not being released yet.
It comes after Ed Sheeran was forced to add the writers of ‘No Scrubs’ to the credits of his smash hit ‘Shape of You’ after the similarities in sound between his song and the 1999 hit were pointed out.
Bill said: “It was a blessed month for us and we finally feel a little wind at our back.”

Little Mix love touring America

OHMYGOSSIP — Little Mix love touring America because the fans there are “incredible”.
The girl group – comprised of Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall – are currently supporting Ariana Grande on her tour of the US, and have said they’re loving every second because the crowd always “gives them everything”.
Leigh-Anne said: “Fans over here are so crazy, in the most incredible way possible. You guys just give us everything.”
And the ‘Shout Out to My Ex’ hitmakers also praised 23-year-old Ariana for pushing the idea of “girl power”, and have said they even feel the support from the ‘Dangerous Woman’ singer’s fans who might not know who Little Mix are.
Perrie added: “[Ariana] has the most incredible fans. They’re very supportive. And a lot of the time, we see Little Mix t-shirts and Little Mix banners [in the crowd], which makes us feel very special. Ariana’s got a girl power to her going on. So we are just living life with all the girlies. It’s brilliant!”
Meanwhile, the girls also spoke about the video for their latest single ‘No More Sad Songs’ – which features rapper Machine Gun Kelly – and said whilst they were unsure about the country-themed concept at first, they now believe it’s their “favourite video”.
Jade told Billboard.com’s ‘Pop Shop Podcast’: “It was a bit random, really. The director for the video, he suggested the whole ‘Coyote Ugly’ thing, and at first we were like, ‘This really doesn’t go with ‘No More Sad Songs’!’ But then when we actually did the shoot, it’s quite refreshing, isn’t it? Because it’s not what you’d expect when you watch it.
“I think it’s one of our favourite videos. It ticks every box: It’s fun, it’s a bit saucy, and we look good and we feel good in it.”

Paul Weller slams modern guitar music

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Weller has slammed the state of modern guitar music.
The former Jam frontman struggles to think of many rock bands that have caught his attention lately and says he is more of a fan of hip-hop like Kendrick Lamar, with the exception of singer/songwriter Lucy Rose and his pals in Syd Arthur and Savoy Motel.
He admitted: “I find it insipid at the moment. I can’t think of any guitar bands, English bands anyway, at the moment.
“I quite like an American band called Savoy Motel; I like their last record. And Syd Arthur I really love – they’re mates as well, I really like them.
“Lucy Rose has got a new album coming out in the next few months that’s really great. There are a lot of great individual records and individuals really.”
And on the R&B stars he is into, he added: “I like the J Hus single ‘Did You See’ – that’s really good. Band-wise, nothing’s really moving me at the moment, but there’s some good R&B things. I like the Anderson .Paak record and I liked Kendrick Lamar’s album.”
And the ‘Long Long Road’ rocker also said he appreciates some grime music.
He told NME magazine: “I haven’t really heard much of it – I’ve only heard it when I tune into a pirate station in the car.
“Some of it like – It’s like any music, there’s always going to be good bits I get, and other bits I don’t get – but I think it’s probably the only form of British music that’s really saying something.”
The 58-year-old rocker – who releases his 13th studio LP ‘A Kind of Revolution’ on May 12 – also revealed the artists he’s hoping to collaborate with on his next record including former Treebound rocker Richard Hawley, Lucy Rose and The Villagers’ Conor O’Brien.
He said: “I’m hoping to work with Richard Hawley for the next record, I’m doing for next year, so I’m hoping to write this song with Richard.
“I’ve also asked Lucy Rose as well to do something with us, and Conor O’Brien from Villagers, so we’ll see.
“They’re great songwriters – just great writers and talented people.”
