Country music stars pay tribute to Glen Campbell

OHMYGOSSIP — Billy Ray Cyrus has thanked Glen Campbell for being “such a huge influence” on his country music career.
The 55-year-old star has admitted the late singer, who passed away on Tuesday (08.08.17) aged 81 after suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, was one of the first country stars to help the genre be heard on mainstream TV alongside the likes of Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton.
In a tribute shared on his Twitter page, Billy wrote: “Glen Campbell was such a huge influence on me. Growing up, I studied his writing, songs and how he was an ‘entertainer’s entertainer.’ Along with Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton and Porter Wagoner, Glen Campbell was one of the first to parlay country music into mainstream television and broaden the entire country music fan base across the globe. Ride on Rhinestone Cowboy. God Bless. (sic)”
Dolly also took to her Twitter account to pay tribute to the late ‘Rhinestone Cowboy’ hitmaker, insisting he had one of the “greatest voices” ever, and could playing “anything”.
In a 20-second video, she said: “Glen Campbell was special because he was so gifted. Glen is one of the greatest voices that ever was in the business and he was one of the greatest musicians.
“He was a wonderful session musician as well, a lot of people don’t realise that.
“He could play anything and he could play it really well, so he was just extremely talented.”
She also tweeted: “Glen Campbell was one of the greatest voices of all time. I will always love you, Glen! (sic)”
Several other stars from the world of country music and beyond have shared tributes to Glen, including Kenny Rogers.
He tweeted: “So very sorry to hear this. Glen was such a talented, great guy. Thankful to have known him. (sic)”
Rascal Flatts wrote: “We lost a music legend today. Rest in peace, Glen Campbell. Sending love and prayers to his family.”
Sara Evans also praised the late star, admitting his music has helped her career over the years.
She wrote: “I grew up listening to Glen Campbell and his music helped influence my love of great lyrics and great melodies. Rest in peace! (sic)”

Pete Waterman: Today’s music is disposable

OHMYGOSSIP — Pete Waterman thinks music is “disposable” these days.
The 70-year-old record producer was behind some of the biggest acts of the 80s and 90s through his company Stocks Aitken Waterman, including the likes of Kylie Minogue, Rick Astley, Bananarama, and Sinitta.
And the music maestro has hit out at the current trend in the industry for “narrowing” the market, and has accused streaming services such as Apple Music and Spotify of only streaming “what’s popular”.
He said: “The problem we have today is that music has become too disposable. Music wasn’t disposable back in the 80s, it was part of your life. The market now has narrowed incredibly. The music services only stream what is popular.
“Back then, you had 40 or 50 records in lots of genres [on the radio] but now, some of those genres are not getting attention. It’s just not possible. I love the accessibility of music now, but you have to research music, you have to look into it. And if you’re only going to look at the chart of that week and that’s your education of music, it’s going to be a poor education.
“It is purely down to someone else’s taste, and I don’t want my music to be somebody else’s taste.”
And Pete believes British artists have no chance of standing up to the likes of American pop heavyweights such as Ariana Grande.
He added: “I’ve been in the record industry too long, I can see straight through it. I’m sorry, the British artists are not in the same league as Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande.
“They have got more marketing, everything is so sewn up that it’s like Heinz versus diddly squat corner shop. You ain’t got a bloody chance. You can’t beat those corporate brands. They’re the only ones with the power, they’re the only ones whose television shows are global.”
Despite this, the producer does believe pop music is “fantastic” at the moment.
Speaking to the Metro newspaper, he said: “It’s fantastic. I just think pop music at the moment is fantastic. I love playing some of the stuff… I love Rag n Bone Man, Chainsmokers, Martin Garrix, Dua Lipa… I think there’s some great records. Even the Rudimental James Arthur song, Olly Murs, I think that kid’s brilliant.”

Liam Gallagher teases new music from As You Were

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher has teased that he has new music dropping this week.
The 44-year-old rocker took to Twitter on Monday evening (07.08.17) to share with his two million followers that they will get another sample from his eagerly-anticipated debut solo LP ‘As You Were’ sooner than they think.
He simply wrote: “New music coming this week. As you were. LG x (sic)”
The former Oasis frontman uses the micro-blogging site to give his fans updates on his record and previously unveiled the entire track-listing on the app.
So far, Liam has released lead single ‘Wall of Glass’ and ‘Chinatown’ from the 12-track album.
Meanwhile, Liam recently said that he would rather get a job at fast food chain McDonald’s than reunite Oasis with his brother and bitter rival Noel Gallagher, 50.
Liam fumed: “I’d rather f****** work in McDonald’s mate or get hit by a f****** 18-wheeler at 100 miles an hour, than bring my band and put it in that world.”
However, the ‘Songbird’ songwriter is confident that Noel will like ‘As You Were’ because he is a “music lover” despite them being at each other’s throats.
He told Radio X: “Oh yeah, of course he will have. And as a music lover he’ll like it. And he’ll come out and say it like a good boy. He’ll go, ‘That’s a good f***ing album’. But deep down he’ll be f***ing going, ‘That little f***er’, you know what I mean?
“I’m definitely not on his level, he’s a far better songwriter than me, because he’s been doing it for years. But as a singer, that’s my gig man.”
Liam also recently admitted the ‘Some Might Say’ rockers – who split up in August 2009 following on-stage bust-up at a show in Paris – wouldn’t have worked with “two Noels or two Liams”.
He says the constant clashing is what made the Britpop group so legendary.
And Liam even confessed to leaving his sibling to do most of the “graft”, including writing the songs, while he lived the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle, however he says that is what was key to their success.

Luis Fonsi wanted Drake or Jay-Z on Despacito

OHMYGOSSIP — Luis Fonsi originally wanted Jay-Z or Drake to rap on ‘Despacito’.
The bi-lingual remix version of the Spanish hit with Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber is the most-viewed video on YouTube, but the 39-year-old singer says he wanted to get a hip-hip artist to do Justin’s part long before the ‘Sorry’ hitmaker got involved.
Speaking to British newspaper The Times, Luis said: “Before Justin we’d been talking about doing a collaboration with an American artist.
“We were leaning towards a more hip-hop artist, but I didn’t know how to get in touch with JAY-Z or Drake. Justin wasn’t even on the list.”
Luis was given the final cut of the song and had no idea Justin would sing in Spanish, but was blown away.
He said: “I expected to hear a full English (language) version of the song.
“All of a sudden I’m hearing Justin Bieber singing in Spanish. I thought, ‘This is HUGE!'”
The 23-year-old pop megastar has been criticised by many of his pop peers, Louis Tomlinson and Jonas Blue included, but Luis says though he hasn’t hung out with him, Justin is “smart” and has learnt from his troubled past.
He said: “It’s tough for him to be out in public, he has a lot of restrictions as to where he can and can’t go.
“He’s a nice guy and he’s a smart guy – he’s making very good musical decisions and he’s learnt from his mistakes.”
The ‘What Do You Mean’ hitmaker recently axed the final 14 dates of his ‘Purpose World Tour’ citing exhaustion as the reason.
Justin said he was taking some time off so he can work on making sure his “mind, heart, and soul” are “sustainable”.
In a note to fans posted on Instagram, he wrote: “Me taking this time right now is me saying I want to be SUSTAINABLE.. I want my career to be sustainable, but I also want my mind heart and soul to be sustainable. So that I can be the man I want to be, the husband I eventually want to be and the father I want to be.
“This message is just an opportunity for you to know my heart, I’m not expecting anyone to understand, but I do want people to have an opportunity to understand where I am coming from! THIS MESSAGE IS IS VERY GRAMMATICALLY INCORRECT BUT ITS FROM THE HEART. BUT I ITHINK THERES SOMETHING SPECIAL ABOUT IMPERFECTIONS!!” (sic)”

Drake is working on a new album

OHMYGOSSIP — Drake has revealed he’s working on a new album.
The ‘One Dance’ rapper headlined his OVO music festival in his hometown of Toronto, Canada on Monday night (07.08.17) where he told the audience he’s set to return to the studio to prepare his follow-up to the hugely successful ‘Views’.
Speaking on stage, with the backdrop of 2016 LP behind him, Drake told the crowd: “Im going to go back to making this new album in Toronto, just for you.”
It comes after the 30-year-old rapper released ‘Signs’ for fashion brand Louis Vuitton.
The track was unveiled at the fashion brand’s Spring/Summer 2018 catwalk show at the Domaine du Palais Royal in Paris, France in June.
Sharing the artwork on Instagram, he captioned the post: “New song inspired by @louisvuitton @mrkimjones new collection Drake x LV premieres tmrw produced by @ovo40 (sic)”
After ‘Views’, Drake released the mixtape ‘More Life’.
The compilation of songs broke streaming records on both Apple Music and Spotify.
Within the first 24 hours of being released the project, garnered a whopping 89.9 million streams globally on Apple Music, handing him a new world record for streams in a 24-hour period.
On Spotify, the first full day of release for ‘More Life’ saw it rake in the best first-day streams for any album on the service.
The record gained was 61.3 million global streams, smashing the previous record of 56.7 million, held by Ed Sheeran’s recently released ‘Divide’.
If that wasn’t enough, the ‘Passionfruit’ hitmaker also beat Ed’s previously held record of the most streamed artist in a single day on Spotify.
Drake managed to gain an impressive 76.4 million streams across all his available music on March 19, beating the ‘Shape of You’ singer’s record of 68.7 million, which he picked up on March 3.

Ryan Tedder: Working with Paul McCartney was my favourite week

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Tedder says working with his idol Sir Paul McCartney was his “favourite week in his life”.
The OneRepublic frontman and chief songwriter has worked with a whole host stars including recently former Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello and he even worked with U2 on their forthcoming record.
However, getting to be in the studio with the Beatles legend was a definite tick of his wish list.
Speaking about what he’s working on, Ryan told the latest issue of Schön! Magazine: “In terms of what I have coming, it’s all over the map. I did a session last week with Camila Cabello and I’m really happy with it. I’m really excited about the Paul McCartney stuff. Beyond happy, it’s probably my favourite session ever.
“I’d go as far as saying my favourite week in my life was working with Paul McCartney.
“The U2 album is shaping up and sounding incredible. I also got to do stuff with The Killers on their upcoming album. I’ve also been working with Jessie Ware, a British artist, whose single is out now.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Counting Stars’ hitmaker has been vocal about how he feels the album format is becoming outdated and he says he’s found it “freeing” to just put songs out on streaming services such as Apple Music and Spotify recently.
This means it’s highly unlikely we can expect another studio album from the band.
Explaining his love of streaming platforms, Ryan said: “All we’ve been doing lately is just doing songs. We haven’t gone to radio with a single since probably October. In a way, it’s been the most freeing 9 months I’ve had in 10 years because I don’t have to do any promo. You just put stuff out on Spotify and Apple Music…I think being able to just release music as you see fit makes it so much easier. Plus, the world kind of tells you what song they love. No Vacancy – which we put out back in April – could’ve easily gone to radio…The song is now closing in on 100 million streams and it’s something we have done zero work behind. This doesn’t mean we won’t release singles in the future, but not always. We will but as and when.”

Miley Cyrus announces new album Younger Now

OHMYGOSSIP — Miley Cyrus has announced her new album ‘Younger Now’ will be released on September 29.
The ‘Malibu’ singer made some significant changes to her official website overnight on Monday (07.08.17) with the homepage simply displaying a picture of a leather jacket with what appears to be the album artwork, a leather jacket with the words “Younger Now” written in string on the garment.
Emblazoned across it is the message: “New Album 9. 29 (sic)”
The record will be the first studio LP from the ‘Wrecking Ball’ hitmaker since 2015’s ‘Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz’.
The album news comes after the 24-year-old beauty – who is engaged to actor Liam Hemsworth – was announced as a performer at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).
The pop star will take to the stage at the Forum in Los Angeles on August 27, along with the likes of Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, Lorde, 30 Seconds to Mars and Shawn Mendes and The Weeknd.
Miley is up for the Best Pop award for her track ‘Malibu’.
Back in 2013, the ‘Hannah Montana’ star performed at the annual awards ceremony and showed off her twerking skills during a performance with Robin Thicke and said she was “making history” just like Britney Spears and Madonna have done at the bash in the past.
Asked if she was bothered by criticism she received, she said at the time: “I don’t pay attention to the negative because I’ve seen this play out so many times.
“How many times have we seen this play out in pop music?
“Madonna’s done it. Britney’s done it. Every VMA performance, that’s what you’re looking for; you’re wanting to make history.”
Madonna and Britney famously locked lips in 2003 at the VMAS, and in 2001, the latter danced with a boa constrictor to ‘I’m a Slave 4 U.’
Miley has left a box for her fans to enter the email addresses and sign up for updates on her record.

The Beach Boys, Queen and Foo Fighters’ version of Holy Man barred from release

OHMYGOSSIP — A reworked Beach Boys song featuring members of Queen and Foo Fighters has been blocked from being released following a legal dispute.
The supergroup have been working on updating ‘Holy Man’, which was co-written by late Beach Boys member Dennis Wilson and his lead singer brother Brian, 75.
Dennis’ co-writer Stephen Kalinich is the only person who was able to hear the song in its original form and he claims he hasn’t had access to it for more than three decades.
The ‘Little Bird’ drummer tragically drowned at Marina Del Rey in 1983, and the track has been stored away in a vault ever since.
The original music was created by the ‘Good Vibrations’ hitmakers in 1974, and the rough tape was sent to Queen’s guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor and the US rockers.
A source said: “The song is in a vault and nobody can do anything about it.
“It’s such a shame as there will clearly be a huge demand for it.”
Dennis’s co-writer Stephen says it is “such a shame” that no one will be able to get their ears on the “six-minute masterpiece” because of the law.
He told The Sun newspaper: “It’s over six minutes long and it’s a masterpiece, but we’ve never been able to release it because we can’t get the legalities worked out. Such a shame.
“People hear it and, honest to God, it brings tears to their eyes.”
Foo Fighters’ drummer Taylor Hawkins recorded vocals on their version and Stephen says he sounded just like Dennis with “the same gravelly, whisky voice”.
He added: “Taylor sent the track to Brian May and he and Roger Taylor fell in love with it. They spent weeks fooling around with it, putting on vocals and some incredible percussive things.”

Liam Gallagher: Noel will like As You Were

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher thinks his brother Noel Gallagher will love his debut solo album.
The ‘Wall of Glass’ singer may have an ongoing feud with his former Oasis bandmate, but he still thinks the 50-year-old guitarist will appreciate the music on ‘As You Were’ as Liam thinks Noel is the “better songwriter” and will appreciate the tracks he’s worked on with esteemed producers Greg Kurstin and Dan Grech-Marguerat as “music lover”.
Asked by Chris Moyles on UK radio station Radio X if Noel has heard any of the tracks, Liam said: “Oh yeah, of course he will have.
The 44-year-old rocker recently admitted Oasis – who split up in August 2009 following on-stage bust-up at a show in Paris – wouldn’t have worked with “two Noels or two Liams”.
The former frontman says the constant clashing is what made the Britpop group so legendary.
And Liam even confessed to leaving his sibling to do most of the “graft”, including writing the songs, while he lived the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle, however he says that is what was key to their success.
Asked whether just performing Oasis songs was sufficient for him, Liam said: “Always. Honestly. I knew the score. That was Noel’s thing. My thing was the whole cliché: the sex, the drugs, the rock’n’roll.
“I lived it, mate. I was it. And that’s why Oasis worked. We couldn’t have both been boring f***s and neither could we have both been headcases like me.
“And I know how much it annoyed him. He did the graft while I went out and undid the graft. But Oasis wouldn’t have worked with two Liams or two Noels.
“The Rolling Stones wouldn’t have worked if they were nuns, would they?”

Ozzy Osbourne: Rock music can’t die while I’m alive

OHMYGOSSIP — Ozzy Osbourne insists rock music isn’t dead because he’s still alive.
The 68-year-old icon has rubbished suggestions that the genre is already dead – but has admitted to being surprised by some of the recent changes in the music industry.
Ozzy explained: “I’m still alive. [But] I never thought in my lifetime I’d see the demise of records. I never use the computer. It’s totally changed. A lot of people steal music now, so a lot of people can’t afford to do it anymore.”
Ozzy also insisted he has no plans to retire in the near future, revealing he will continue to perform for as long as he’s able to.
He admitted, too, that he’s never viewed his career as a job and instead described it simply as a “passion”.
The former Black Sabbath singer told 95 WIIL Rock: “I think I’ll do this till the day I die. It’s not a job; it’s a passion. It’s great. It pays well.”
Meanwhile, Tony Iommi, Ozzy’s former bandmate, revealed last year that he called for Black Sabbath to end because he doesn’t want to die on stage.
The guitarist was diagnosed with the early stages of lymphoma cancer in 2013, and the diagnosis led him to reconsider his future in the music business.
He said: “Since I was diagnosed it has changed my whole life. I’ve had to really think about it seriously. I can’t just pack a suitcase and go off and disappear around the world.
“I don’t want to go on and keel over on stage. If it’s going to happen, I’d rather be at home.”
Black Sabbath played their last gig in their home city of Birmingham, England, in February 2017.

Rita Ora delays second album until 2018

OHMYGOSSIP — Rita Ora has delayed her second studio album until 2018.
The ‘Hot Right Now’ hitmaker was expected to release the record in November – five years after her debut ‘Ora’ dropped – but she has now revealed it is more likely to come out at the “beginning of next year”.
She said: “My album will be dropping very soon. I do want to say the beginning of next year but, hey, surprises do come, don’t they? Because we have the internet.”
The 26-year-old star confirmed she will be hitting the road for a world tour when her album drops, and it will be a dream come true to sing at stadiums around the globe.
Speaking in a Facebook Live Q&A, she said: “Yes, I will be doing a world tour. That’s exactly what I want to do, that’s been one of my dreams. So keep an eye out for dates.”
Just last month, Rita told fans her album will be released in November, the same month as she turns 27.
She said: “I was going crazy not being able to put music out, I am happy to do that and knowing you guys are still there makes me so happy.
“The album is going to come out in November and it’s going to be major. I’ve been working on it for ages. There’s some amazing people on it and amazing surprises.
“I didn’t even tell you guys … It’s the first time I’ve told you. It’s also coming the month of my birthday.”
Rita previously sued her former record label Roc Nation for delaying her album and refusing to take her phone calls.
Roc Nation then counter-sued the star for breaking her recording contract.
The two parties reached a settlement in May 2016, and the ‘I Will Never Let You Down’ singer signed a deal with Atlantic Records before getting to work on new music.

Jessie J returns with new song Real Deal

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessie J has unveiled a brand new single called ‘Real Deal’.
The ‘Price Tag’ hitmaker has teamed up with confectionery brand M&Ms to unveil her first piece of music since her 2014 LP ‘Sweet Talker’, and the only way fans can currently get hold of the track is by unlocking it in a game.
Alongside a preview of the song, Jessie explained how in order to access it her fans have to make their own beat by visiting BiteSizeBeats.com.
She wrote on Facebook: “Yooooo! My collaboration with M&M’S U.S.A. And Incredibox on #BiteSizeBeats means I finally get to play you guys NEW MUSIC I’ve been writing! A hidden snippet of my new song REAL DEAL is in a special edition bonus inside the game. (I LOVE this song) You have to play to unlock it! Make your beat at BiteSizeBeats.com and share it with me! #Ad
“THIS COULD BE THE REAL DEAL” (sic)”
The 29-year-old singer recently revealed that her fourth studio LP sees her going back to her “roots” by interjecting honesty.
She explained: “I’ve recently let my friends know that I’m working on new music. It’s been a very incredible process for me in the last two years. With this next lot of music, I’m very much going back to my roots like on my first album [2011’s ‘Who You Are’], which was very honest. I needed to go back to where it all began; to take a break in a good, positive way. From the ages 25-30, you learn so much and grow as a person. You become who you’re going to be for a long time. I’ve also enjoyed the process of just getting back to songwriting on my own. Where I’m at with the new music, everything written thus far I’ve written by myself. I’m really proud of it. It doesn’t reflect anything I’ve ever done before, which is exciting.”
Jessie has teamed up with producer DJ Camper – who has worked with the likes of John Legend and Tamara Braxton – for the record and she is waiting for the right time to put it out.
She said: “It’s an album musically that I’ve wanted to make for a long time and had to find the right time. Everyone who’s heard the album so far says it’s very honest and very grown.
“I’m speaking on issues that a 29-year-old goes through which is different from what I’ve sung about in the past.
“But I have to be true to what’s in my mind and heart. I’m working with one producer, DJ Camper [Mary J. Blige, John Legend], on this cohesive piece of work.
” It’s a piece of music as opposed to singles and album fillers. I feel like I’m making music. I don’t know when it will be out. I’m just enjoying the process that everything happens for a reason, trusting in time and feelings.”

Serge Pizzorno listened to audiobook with Noel Fielding to prepare for Glastonbury

OHMYGOSSIP — Serge Pizzorno prepared for headlining Glastonbury in 2014 by listening to an audiobook with Noel Fielding.
The Kasabian frontman and his bandmates performed on the main stage at the world famous music extravaganza three years ago, and he has revealed he did the least rock ‘n’ roll activity with his comedian pal.
The pair relaxed to 1889 Jerome K. Jerome novel ‘Three Men in a Boat’, a funny tale documenting a man’s two-week boating trip from Kingston upon Thames to Oxford and back, to warm-up for the ‘Bless This Acid House’ hitmakers’ set.
Revealing the pre-show ritual he used to get hyped for the big gig, Serge told the latest issue of DIY magazine: “Before we went on, me and Noel [Fielding] were listening to ‘Three Men In A Boat’ on an audiobook. “Imagine that? We were lying down in the bunks [of the tour bus], f***ing crying with laughter.
“I had my phone in the middle and we were lying next to each other, going ‘this is f***ing great’. Just mellowing out.
“You wanna be still. Like Elvis with black leather over the windows so it’s as dark as possible.
“Then an hour before the gig, it’s like ‘BAM’. Right. F***ing pupils like that. Eyes open. Ready.”
Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan previously reflected on the band’s 2017 Pyramid Stage set, and said that they did it in their own style incorporating the love of rock and rave music in a hope of making an “emotional” connection with the crowd.
He explained: “Every band has their own way of getting the audience into a higher state, an emotional connection of ‘this is blowing my mind’. The Prodigy have their way, Radiohead have their way. In that year, we figured out how we do it.
“For us, we were inspired by the early rave scene and the explosion of rock music in the early 90s and we managed to combine that enthusiasm and emotional connection with the communal get together of the rave scene. That’s what Glastonbury was (their set)”
On their new documentary, Kasabian commented: “We’re on album number six now, so it feels like a good time to take a minute to look back at the story so far – as well as look ahead to what’s next.”

Eminem album to arrive in autumn

OHMYGOSSIP — Eminem’s new album will reportedly be released in autumn.
The 44-year-old rapper – whose last record was 2013’s ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2’ – is among names including Taylor Swift and Sam Smith who are expected to put out new records later this year on Universal, website HITS Daily Double reports.
It comes after the hip-hop icon’s manager Paul Rosenberg took over as the CEO of Universal Music Group’s Def Jam Recordings label.
Earlier this year, it was revealed that Dr. Dre, a longtime collaborator of the ‘8 Mile’ star, is working on a track for the ‘Lose Yourself’ hitmaker’s “latest album”.
2 Chainz has also recorded a song for the album, but he didn’t really believe the rap legend wanted to work with him when he first found out.
He said: “I’ve heard it all, you know what I’m saying? I’ve heard it all. You know, this like rap talk. It’s like, you see a rapper in the club and you’re like, ‘Let’s do one.’
“It’s cap, you know what I mean? So you know, he’s like, ‘The boy wanna do something with you.’ And I’m like, ‘Whatever.’ ”
The pair met up at producer Rick Rubin’s house to team up on a song which was initially going to be a remix before 2 Chainz intervened.
He said: “I tell him straight up … ‘Eminem, what would you need a remix for? Remixes are used to carry records to number one spots. When have you ever did a remix for someone or for yourself?’ That’s cap at it’s finest.”
2 Chainz feels he has finally made it in the genre now that Eminem – whose real name is Marshall Mathers – has asked to record a track with him.
He added: “That’s how I know I can rap. He didn’t want to talk about nothing but rapping. That was a great phone call to get.”
Eminem released his debut solo album ‘Infinite’ in 1996, but he really hit the headlines in 1999 when he dropped ‘The Slim Shady LP’, which spawned Grammy Award-winning hit ‘My Name Is’.
