Corey Taylor on mental health

OHMYGOSSIP — Corey Taylor has launched a passionate defence of Chester Bennington and Chris Cornell after they were called “cowards” for taking their own lives earlier this year.
The Linkin Park frontman hanged himself on what would have been his friend’s birthday, just months after the Soundgarden singer also killed himself.
Slipknot’s Corey has opened up about his own mental health battles in the past, telling Loudwire: “Calling them cowards is a very immature way of looking at it. It’s the easy way to look at something like that, because it makes you not have to face what a serious issue it is.
“It’s easy for someone to label it like that so they can turn their back on it and pretend that it was something that didn’t happen to them, when inside they’re hurting.
“People who fight depression are almost in a constant state of hurting. It comes and goes. The tide rises, the tide ebbs, and sometimes it’s hard to get past that break.”
The star also spoke about his own way of coping with depression, and he explained it helps to keep a close network of friends around him for support.
He added: “There are places to go. Whether it’s a friend or a stranger, there are organisations, there are centres, there are people who are dedicated to listening.
“Because sometimes that’s all you need – just someone to listen… You’re not a coward. You’re not alone. Get the help you need. There are ways to find it.”
It comes after Korn’s Brian ‘Head’ Welch insisted he was “p***ed” to hear the Linkin Park frontman – who has six children – had taken his own life aged 41, despite insisting he was trying to be sympathetic because he had battled depression himself.
He wrote on Facebook: “Honestly, Chester’s an old friend who we’ve hung with many times, and I have friends who are extremely close to him, but this is truly p***ing me off! How can these guys send this message to their kids and fans?! I’m sick of this suicide s**t! I’ve battled depression/mental illness, and I’m trying to be sempethetic, but it’s hard when you’re p***ed! Enough is enough! Giving up on your kids, fans, and life is the cowardly way out!!!
“I’m sorry, I know meds and/or alcohol may have been involved, I’m just processing like all of us and I know we are all having some of the same thoughts/feelings.(sic)”

Kendrick Lamar at VMAs

OHMYGOSSIP — Kendrick Lamar has been confirmed for this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.
The ‘Humble’ rapper has been revealed on Twitter as the latest performer set to take to the stage on August 27, as part of a star-studded line up for the annual ceremony.
A message on the official MTV Twitter account read: “@KendrickLamar will be performing at the 2017 @VMAs on 8/27 (sic)”
It’s looking like it could be a very busy night for the man of the moment, who is leading the way for the nominees with nods in eight categories, including Artist of the Year and Video of the Year.
Also performing on the night are the likes of Miley Cyrus, The Weeknd, Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Lorde, 30 Seconds To Mars and Fifth Harmony, while ‘Roar’ singer Katy Perry will host the glitzy bash.
It will be the first time Kendrick has performed at the ceremony since 2013, when he opened the show alongside Miley, 2 Chainz and Robin Thicke.
The star recently opened up about his passion and dedication to success, and how his drive can lead to him closing himself off from his loved ones in order to put all his energy into his music and career.
He said: “My biggest vice is being addicted to the chase of what I’m doing. It turns into a vice when I shut off people that actually care for me, because I’m so indulged spreading this word. Being on that stage, knowing that you’re changing people’s lives, that’s a high.”

Ringo Starr ‘doesn’t live in the pocket’ of Sir Paul McCartney

OHMYGOSSIP — Ringo Starr and Sir Paul McCartney “don’t live in each other’s pocket”.
The former Beatles bandmates have remained great friends over the years and Sir Paul even makes an appearance on Ringo’s new album ‘Give More Love’ – but the iconic duo don’t get to spend a lot of time together these days.
Asked about the experience of working with Sir Paul, Ringo shared: “He’s an incredible musician. He’s incredible at singing too and as a writer, but for me, as a bass player, he is the finest and the most melodic.
“It’s always fun when we’re playing together. I’ve played on several of his records, mainly in the 90s. People keep saying, ‘Oh, it’s been so long.’ It’s not been that long.
“We did the Grammys, we did that Beatles show three years ago. So we are still pals, but we don’t live in each other’s pocket.”
Sir Paul went out of his way to appear on Ringo’s new album, making the trip to Los Angeles for a studio session with his former bandmate.
And Ringo, 77, is predictably thrilled that he can still call upon the music legend for a helping hand.
Asked how the collaboration was arranged, Ringo told Rolling Stone magazine: “I just called him up and said, ‘I got this song called ‘Show Me the Way’, and I want you to play on it.’ Because he is a really good friend of mine, he said he’d come to LA for it.
“It’s about [my wife] Barbara. She shows me the way. I wanted it to be very personal. While he was there, he also played on ‘We’re on the Road Again’. That was very kind of him.”

Chance The Rapper praises Kanye West

OHMYGOSSIP — Chance The Rapper has praised Kanye West for helping to make rap music more “mainstream”.
The ‘Cocoa Butter Kisses’ hitmaker feels “lucky” to be “accepted and celebrated” for who he is and his music and thinks that is partly down to Kanye’s own success.
He told NPR: “The fact that it’s able to be a main stage or mainstream image and accepted and celebrated is because of folks like Kanye who came in the game and was like, ‘This is who I am, and these are the type of things that I love, and I’m excited about them, and I don’t necessarily have to carry myself as anybody that I’m not. I’m lucky to be in a space where I’ve been accepted for who I am and celebrated for who I am.”
Meanwhile, Chance previously revealed he wants to move back in with his parents so he can be “closer” to them.
He said: “I’m in a unique position [with] a lot of the things you would think you would get past because of the ‘successes’ that I’ve had. Like, I’m honestly, in real life, thinking about moving in with my parents right now. I think, anybody, if they were in my position – if they were 23 with a kid for the first time and were working – they would find comfort in being able to stay with their parents. If their parents are willing. I guess that’s just what it all comes down to; if they’re willing.
“I’m in a position where I want to be closer to my parents now, because I realise how important that is. There was never a point, ever, in my life where I can remember loving someone as much or more than I love my mom until I met my daughter. So, it made me understand that my mom loves me more than she loves anybody in the world, and that’s crazy to me. So of course I wanna be around her.”

Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis produce Korean charity single

OHMYGOSSIP — Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis have joined forces with Peabo Bryson for a charity single for Korea.
The legendary songwriting and producing duo – comprised of James Samuel ‘Jimmy Jam’ Harris III and Terry Steven Lewis – are most famous for producing Janet’s breakthrough 1986 album ‘Control’, but have also collaborated with the likes of the late George Michael, Mariah Carey, Human League and Usher in the past.
And Peabo is most famous for his duets with Celine Dion, Roberta Flack and Chaka Khan.
They’ve teamed up for the track ‘Korean Dream’ in a bid to make the country, which is currently divided united once again.
The song is the work of ONE K Global Campaign Organising Committee, whose goal is to tell the world about Korea and their dream for peace and unification for North and South Korea, ending years of families being split, of tension between nations where brothers and sisters are pitted against each other and of poverty and civil rights abuses for those whom fate put on the wrong side of the random border, a border that has held Korea back from making its full contribution to the world.
Producer Terry said: “I think music reaches right into the soul of someone. It doesn’t matter what language, doesn’t matter whether you are young or old or where you are from. A great song can really uplift and provide the soundtrack for the people to do whatever it is they want to do.”
The non-profit single also features Korean-born Australian ‘X Factor’ winner Dami Im with the most famous singers in Korea – Jung Dongha and K-pop boy band Voisper – alongside Filipino singers Edray, Sabrina and Zendee and American Lauren Evans.
The single is set to be released on Korea’s National Independence Day on August 15.

Ed Sheeran co-writes songs with industrial star Andy LaPlegua

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran has co-written songs with industrial goth Andy LaPlegua.
The Combichrist frontman is said to be desperate to turn his band folk rock and after expressing his desire to collaborate with the biggest singer/songwriter in the world, the 41-year-old Norwegian got together with the man himself to pen a number of tracks, website Riveting News reports.
A source said: “They’ve been friends for years, ever since Andy first ran into Ed at a coffee shop in Los Angeles. He told Ed he’d become a big inspiration for him lately.
“The collaboration actually came about very quickly earlier this year. Andy was told that Ed was beginning to write a song with him in mind.”
According to the publication, a preview of the song they’ve worked on will be shared on Andy’s Facebook page shortly.
And Andy has also taken to Instagram to share the article and revealed he was hoping to keep it a “secret”.
He wrote: “Since it’s already out there, it was supposed to be a secret project, but hey… (sic)”
The 26-year-old flame-haired star certainly knows how to turn his hand to an eclectic mix of genres having released Irish single ‘Galway Girl’ on his album ‘Divide’ and he even recorded a song in the Ghanaian dialect Twi, though it’s not surfaced yet.
Speaking about the latter track, he previously said: “The best experience was I wrote a song in Twi, which is the Ghanaian dialect, and I wrote that in Ghana at Fuse ODG’s house with all of his mates.
“That was the most fun experience. Being in the studio with someone like Fuse it’s just a party the whole time.
They drink this thing called Shocker, and I won’t tell you what is in it, but there is a lot of stuff in it.
“They drink that while they are in the studio and just go nuts the whole time. They just play this song on repeat full volume. That was probably the most fun I’ve had making a song.”
The unnamed song was produced by Killbeatz, but never made it onto his record.

James Bay vows to wow fans with second album

OHMYGOSSIP — James Bay has vowed to wow fans with his second studio album.
The ‘Hold Back The River’ hitmaker has been back at home in Hertfordshire, England working on his follow-up to last year’s hugely successful ‘Chaos and the Calm’ and says the record, which featured the hits ‘Let It Go’, ‘Scars’ and ‘Best Fake Smile’, is just the cusp of what he’s capable of.
Speaking to the London Evening Standard newspaper, he said: “I absolutely have to top it. I see ‘Chaos and the Calm’ as round one and that was setting the bar.
“Round two needs to beat it on all levels. Someone said to me recently, ‘We’ll see you soon in arenas’, and I said, ‘Yeah, absolutely – no question.”
The 26-year-old troubadour-wearing star says that his ultimate goal is to perform at arenas.
He added: “That’s the aim and it’s up to me to make it really.”
James’ new album is likely to be released in 2018, and the musician has been making the most of his time in the studio, having spent the last two years on tour.
Although James relished his time on the road, he is loving the challenge of writing new material.
He recently shared: “We toured [‘Chaos and the Calm’] for a very long time and I really enjoyed it.
“The only thing that made me feel a bit negative about it towards the end was that I love those songs, but I really wanted to pepper them with new material. So that’s what I’m doing now and I’m having a pretty fantastic time doing it.”
And while James is already missing touring, he said recording new music is a similarly exciting experience.
He explained: “I miss touring. It’s an amazing experience, an amazing adventure. Every day, everything is new. You’re playing to new people win a venue you’ve never seen, in a new town – and every time you wake up, things outside the window are different from how they were before. I do miss it a lot.
“But right now is an equally exciting new journey, making new music. Every time I make new music I always think, I’m going to make a live set out of these new songs soon, and I can’t wait to get on the stage and perform them.”

Chance the Rapper has a ‘bigger voice’ than Donald Trump

OHMYGOSSIP — Chance the Rapper says he has a “bigger voice than Donald Trump”.
The 24-year-old musician believes he’s an influential voice in American society and has even boasted about having a larger platform than the current US President.
He said: “I just have a larger platform than all platforms. I have a bigger voice than Donald Trump, than literally anybody who works in politics.
“I can connect with people on the level of appealing as a person who is still being a citizen, as a person who does what he wants. But I have ideas on how to voice opinions and ideas that other people just don’t have.”
Meanwhile, Chance bemoaned the pressure on hip-hip artists to project a “hard” persona.
He did, however, acknowledge that the landscape is changing for black musicians like himself.
Speaking to the NPR podcast ‘What’s Good with Stretch & Bobbito’, he explained: “I think there’s just always been a quiet conversation and joke that if you’re not if you’re not hard, if you’re not from an impoverished neighbourhood, if you’re not certain constructs of a black stereotype, then you’re not black.
“N***** kinda ran with that in the ’90s I think, and that’s why there were so many fabricated hood n*****.
“But now, a lot of black people have a lot more pride in being who they are, and understanding that is part of the black experience, is living and being who you are.”

Pink announces new Beautiful Trauma album

OHMYGOSSIP — Pink has announced her new album is called ‘Beautiful Trauma’ and will drop on October 13th.
The 37-year-old singer took to her Instagram account to show off the cover art of her upcoming seventh studio album – a follow up to 2012’s ‘The Truth About Love’ – and admitted she is “insanely proud” of the forthcoming record.
She captioned the covert art image: “I could not be more excited right now. My single comes out today “what About Us” and my new album “Beautiful Trauma” comes out October 13th. I’m certifiably, insanely proud of this album. (sic)”
The star – whose real name is Alecia Moore – also admitted she is “grateful” for her fans standing by her over the years.
She added: “It’s been a while, and I’m grateful for all the years we’ve had. Looking forward to the next chapter with you. (sic)”
Since releasing her last record, Pink has extended her and husband Carey Hart’s brood, giving birth to son Jameson in December 2016, a brother for their six-year-old daughter Willow.
Pink made her concert comeback in July at Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but her preparations for the show didn’t quite go to plan as she and Willow got stuck in a lift.
She wrote on Instagram: “Stuck in an elevator (it’s getting hot in here) (love in an elevator) (livin in a box) #help (sic)”
But she later reassured her fans they had got out safely, writing: “We made it out #gettingcute (sic)”
After the gig, Pink admitted she was “glad” her comeback show had ended because she was so nervous and forgot the words to four of her hits.
She wrote: “THANKYOU kind folks of Summerfest. Milwaukee. What a cool place. Thanks to all who came from far and wide. I’m so glad that first show is over. Haha.
“After four years, it’s always a little nerve wracking to start it up again. But I got one look at your faces and my heart filled with love. This is us celebrating the fact that I only rolled my ankle once and only forgot the words to four songs. #grateful. (sic)”

Liam Gallagher slams solo stars

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher thinks the “majority of solo stars are ****s”.
The former Oasis frontman might be preparing to release his own debut solo record in October, but that doesn’t mean he’s particularly happy about the way his career is going as he says he’d much rather be back with the ‘Wonderwall’ hitmakers than going it alone.
Speaking about a tweet he made in which he called himself a “****” when he announced he would be embarking on a solo career, Liam explained: “Well yeah, the majority of solo stars are ****s. The ones that split bands up because they need their egos f***ing stroked are the biggest cunts. If someone said to me, ‘OK, get Oasis back or go solo?’ I’d get Oasis back. There’s not enough bands out there. There’s far too many f***ing solo stars. It’s s**t. This is the last f***ing roll of the dice for me. For me to go and get another band back together it’d only be compared to Oasis anyway, so what’s the f***ing point? So the solo thing? I’ll give it a f***ing go, man.”
And Liam believes his brother and former band mate Noel Gallagher – whom he has been in a bitter feud with since the band split in 2009 – is one of the stars who “splits bands up” because of their ego, as he claims the 50-year-old musician “stitched [him] up with Oasis”.
The 44-year-old ‘Wall of Glass’ hitmaker told Noisey: “He stitched me up with Oasis. I was the one left to carry the f***ing blame, and that’s it. He went, ‘Fuck this, I want a solo career.’ He f***ing set a few booby traps and I got f***ing collared with it. So as far as I’m concerned, you can fuck off. He didn’t just end it because we were in Paris and we had a ding-dong. You stitched me up and you can f**k off, you ****. I’m your f***ing brother. People go, ‘Oh you’re jealous.’ I’m not. I’m living in the f***ing real world. I’ve got my kids, I’ve got my rock’n’roll, I’ve got my vibe. You’ve got Bradley Cooper, you ****.

Blazin’ Squad announces reunion show

OHMYGOSSIP — Blazin’ Squad have announced a reunion concert at London’s KOKO on November 26.
Seven members of the 10-piece hip-hop outfit, Marcel Somerville, MC Reepa, Spike-E, Krazy, Melo-D and Freek on board and one other member who is yet to be announced, which will either be Kenzie, Strider, Flava or DJ Tommy-B.
Sharing a video of their biggest hits including ‘Flip Reverse It’ and ‘Crossroads’ on Twitter, the band wrote: “Rewind back to Blazin’ times with us @KOKOLondon on 26th November. Get tickets from Thurs 10th August #BlazinSquad #SquadReunion (sic)”
Reunion rumours have been rife ever since Marcel had a stint on UK TV dating show ‘Love Island’, but as far as new music is concerned the lads say they are just focused on the gig right now.
Appearing on ‘Good Morning Britain’ with MC Reepa, Spike-E, Krazy, Melo-D and Freek on Wednesday (09.08.17), Marcel said: “I wanted to do something with the boys, because I came out [of ‘Love Island’] and there was loads of love and a lot of the fans were supporting me in there. I wanted to do something for them.”
On the likelihood of new music, Melo-D added: “We’ll do the show, it’s that we’re looking forward to. The opportunity has arisen now, it feels like the right time.”
Despite only seven of them signing up for the gig, all 10 of them recently got back together and posed for a picture.
Alongside the photo, Marcel wrote: “In the beginning there were 2 decks and a microphone, in the end the #blazinsquad stood alone. For the first time in 10 years all 10 of us in one place. #reunion (sic)”
Marcel recently said there is a possibility that Blazin’ Squad, who disbanded in 2009, will release new material this year.
The 31-year-old hunk – who was known as Rocky B Plat’num during the band’s heyday – said: “There’s a possibility of a little thing happening.”

Liam Gallagher previews new song For What It’s Worth

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher has teased he’s set to release new song ‘For What It’s Worth’ later this week.
The 44-year-old rocker took to Twitter on Wednesday morning (09.08.17) to share a clip of himself in the studio singing the track A Capella.
In the short video, the producer on the mixing desk tells Liam: “That was a really good one, he we go last one.
Then the ‘Wall of Glass’ singer belts out: “In my defence all my intentions were good. And heaven holds a place somewhere for the misunderstood. You know I’d give you blood if it be enough.
“Devils on my doorstep since the day I was born, it’s hard to find a sunset in an eye of a storm. But I’m a dreamer by design and I know in time we’ll put this behind.”
Alongside the post, he wrote: “‘For What It’s Worth’… LG x (sic)”
It comes after Liam dropped the news that he’ll be releasing the next track from his debut solo album ‘As You Were’ this week.
On Monday (07.08.17), he wrote: “New music coming this week. As you were. LG x (sic)”
The former Oasis frontman uses the micro-blogging site to give his fans updates on his record and previously unveiled the entire track-listing on the app.
So far, Liam has released lead single ‘Wall of Glass’ and ‘Chinatown’ from the 12-track album.
Meanwhile, Liam recently said that he would rather get a job at fast food chain McDonald’s than reunite Oasis with his brother and bitter rival Noel Gallagher, 50.
Liam fumed: “I’d rather f****** work in McDonald’s mate or get hit by a f****** 18-wheeler at 100 miles an hour, than bring my band and put it in that world.”
However, the ‘Songbird’ songwriter is confident that Noel will like ‘As You Were’ because he is a “music lover” despite them being at each other’s throats.
He told Radio X: “Oh yeah, of course he will have. And as a music lover he’ll like it. And he’ll come out and say it like a good boy. He’ll go, ‘That’s a good f***ing album’. But deep down he’ll be f***ing going, ‘That little f***er’, you know what I mean?
“I’m definitely not on his level, he’s a far better songwriter than me, because he’s been doing it for years. But as a singer, that’s my gig man.”
Liam also recently admitted the ‘Some Might Say’ rockers – who split up in August 2009 following on-stage bust-up at a show in Paris – wouldn’t have worked with “two Noels or two Liams”.
He says the constant clashing is what made the Britpop group so legendary.
And Liam even confessed to leaving his sibling to do most of the “graft”, including writing the songs, while he lived the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle, however he says that is what was key to their success.

Calvin Harris named top earning DJ

OHMYGOSSIP — Calvin Harris has been named the world’s highest-paid DJ for the fifth year in a row..
The ‘Summer’ hitmaker might have seen a significant drop from last year’s estimated $63 million earnings to $48.5 million between June 2016 and June 2017, but he still managed to top Forbes’ annual list.
The large sum comes from his residencies in Las Vegas, festival performances and hits like ‘Feels’, which he produced featuring pop megastars Katy Perry and Pharrell Williams.
Coming in behind was Tiesto with $39 million and chart-topping EDM duo The Chainsmokers – Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart – who’ve raked in an impressive $38 million between them after teaming up with Coldplay’s Chris Martin on ‘Something Just Like This’ and Halsey on ‘Closer’.
A new entry at number eight was DJ Marshmello, who performs in a white marshmallow mask, and earned $21 million simply from touring relentlessly over the past year.
On how they’ve managed to create such a strong brand and image in just over two years, Marshmello’s manager, Moe Shalizi explained: “We’re creating more of a faceless brand.
“That’s Marshmello … he’s only about two and a half years old and he’s one of the biggest DJs in the world.”
The rest of the list features Skrillex, Steve Aoki, Diplo, David Guetta and Zedd in order.
Guetta has performed around 100 shows in the past 12 months around the world and owes a lot of his salary to working with Rihanna, Sia and Usher.
The French superstar commented: “When I started, our music was underground.
“There was no such thing as DJ music that would be on the radio.”
The full top 10 list is as follows:
1. Calvin Harris ($48.5 million)
2. Tiesto ($39 million)
3. The Chainsmokers ($38 million)
4. Skrillex ($30 million)
5. Steve Aoki ($29.5 million)
6. Diplo ($28.5 million)
7. David Guetta ($25 million)
8. Marshmello ($21 million)
9. Martin Garrix ($19.5 million)
10. Zedd ($19 million)

Rihanna responds to turning down Diplo’s ‘airport reggae’ song

OHMYGOSSIP — Rihanna has responded to Diplo after he said she turned down a collaboration with him because the song sounded like “airport reggae”.
The ‘Cold Water’ hitmaker says the 29-year-old Bajan beauty is the hardest person to get on a track, but he’s determined that Rihanna will feature on a Major Lazer song one day.
Diplo says he asked her if she wanted to do ‘Lean On’, which ended up having DJ Snake and MO on it, but she considered it house music.
He said: “I just want her on a Major Lazer song. She’s like the one artist that we can’t ever get.
“I think before we’re all done, she’ll be on a song of ours. Hopefully. But if not, I don’t really care. I played her ‘Lean On’. She was like, ‘I don’t do house music’. I face-palmed so hard The musician added to GQ Style magazine: “So I played her a song. And she was like, ‘This sounds like a reggae song at an airport’. [laughs] I was like, I’m gonna go kill myself.”
After the article spread online, the 38-year-old producer took to Twitter to explain he’s “fine” with the rejection because he got to hang out with the R&B superstar.
He wrote: “I’m fine with getting curved just to hang out with her for an hour (sic)”
The ‘Work’ hitmaker then took to Instagram to share a link to an article on her Instagram and along with several crying with laughter emojis, she wrote: “#DutyFree My bad @diplo (sic)”
Rihanna is notorious for passing on songs and she even gave away a track Australian pop star Sia co-wrote with Adele for the latter’s album ’25’ called ‘Alive’.
Sia, who ended up releasing the track for herself, previously revealed: “We wrote three songs in two days and none of them made the cut and this was one of them.
“I said to [Adele], ‘Do you mind if I pitch it to, say, Rihanna?’ And she said, ‘Yeah, but can you take my vocal off it because I don’t want my vocal floating around out there on a demo’.
“So I went and re-cut the vocal and everybody in my life was like, ‘You can’t give this away to anybody’.”
It was for the same reason, that it was simply not her style.
The ‘Cheap Thrills’ hitmaker continued: “Well actually I believe she did [get a chance to consider it] and she passed.
“We sent it to her, but it’s not really her so I don’t know why I thought that. It is a smash, but she’s a little more edgy.”

Liam Payne open to working with Zayn Malik

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Payne would like to team up on a song with his ex-bandmate Zayn Malik.
The ‘Strip That Down’ hitmaker says he and the 24-year-old hunk – who departed One Direction in March 2015 – have the closest sound when asked who out of the of the boyband, which is also comprised of Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson, he’d most like to work with.
Liam even has an idea for a music video for their future track that is the pair running around with cute dogs.
Speaking in a video interview with BuzzFeed, in which he got to cuddle cute pooches, Liam said: “I think I would collaborate with Zayn because we do really similar types of music.
“And I would like our music video to be right here with these puppies, because this is too much fun right now.”
The 23-year-old heartthrob – who has four-month-old son Bear with his girlfriend Cheryl – also shared that his debut solo album has a few love ballads on there.
Asked if there is a mix of genres, Liam said: “Yes, there are sections of the album that are quite like ‘Strip That Down’, but there’s parts of it that are – there’s some ballads, there;s some hip-hop songs, there’s some dance music.
“So I think there’s a really varied mix of different things that we have.”
Liam’s willingness to work with Zayn comes after Simon Cowell said the ‘PillowTalk’ hitmaker would “100 percent” reunite with One Direction.
The 57-year-old music mogul guided the British boyband to the top of the industry and, even though they are currently on a hiatus, Simon believes that the original line-up could reunite further down the line.
He recently explained: “You know, it’s fun being out there on your own but what I hope is going to happen is that they remember now how much fun it was being in a group.”
There are currently no concrete plans in place for the boys – Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn, who quit the band in March 2015 – to reform.
But Simon would support the group if they decided to reunite as One Direction.
He told The Sun newspaper: “I always believe that you don’t make rules, you break the rules. So there’s nothing to stop them, if they want to, getting together for a tour, for an album.
“I made it absolutely clear, obviously, ‘We’re in’.”

Brandon Flowers reveals ambition to make ‘honest’ music

OHMYGOSSIP — Brandon Flowers is determined to make “honest” music.
The Killers frontman has revealed his overarching ambition is to create music that his three sons Ammon, Gunnar, and Henry would find heart-warming to listen to later in their lives.
He explained: “The thing that keeps me honest is my kids. They’re gonna have to face what I’m putting out one day, and I want them to be proud.
“I also want to be able to walk into a restaurant with my head held high.”
The band release their new album ‘Wonderful Wonderful’ in September and Brandon, 36, said he didn’t want to “chase what’s on the radio” with their new record.
Instead, he admitted he was happy to act his age during the making of the album.
Speaking to Rolling Stone magazine, Brandon explained: “I talked to [producer Jacknife Lee] about wanting to make a more grown-up record.

This comes shortly after Brandon admitted he “regrets” his attitude from when he first found fame.
The frontman said that much of the band’s new album centres on his previous mistakes and, in particular, his “arrogant” attitude in the early days of their success.
He shared: “I think a good chunk of [the new] album is making peace with that. I’ve been cleaning it up for a long time. I don’t think that was really a great representation, an honest representation of who I am.
“It came from a place of insecurity and I would just puff my chest out and say things and put a lot of negativity out there. I basically came to regret that and I’m sure a lot of people can identify with that.”
