John Legend gets gyrating fan on stage at The O2

OHMYGOSSIP — John Legend invited a gyrating fan on stage at The O2 in London on Tuesday night (12.09.17).
The 38-year-old singer brought his ‘Darkness And Light Tour’ to the British capital and pulled out all the stops with a huge backing band, complete with a brass section and three powerful soulful singers.
A few numbers in it was time for ‘Slow Dance’ and John invited the audience to dance with their partners, and instead of getting his wife Chrissy Teigen – who was in the audience with their 17-month-old daughter Luna – out on stage to embrace the moment, he randomly picked out a female audience member.
He asked: “I need some company, I just need one of London’s ladies to slow dance with me tonight.”
It was the intimate moments when the dark-haired hunk sat around his piano that were the most poignant.
The ‘La La Land’ star made the show all about Luna and Chrissy.
When performing ‘Right By You’, which was penned about his only child, video footage from their family home appeared on three screens behind him.
One cute clip saw little Luna standing by herself trying to reach to play the keys on her father’s piano, already showing signs she’s wanting to follow in her father’s musical footsteps.
Delivery a heart-warming speech about his baby girl, before singing the track, he said: “We can’t protect her from the heartache.
“But as long as I’m here. I’m going to be there for her.”
The set also included a cover of Britain’s very own Sam Smith’s ‘Lay Me Down’ A Capella.
The soulful singer made his fans wait until the encore for his pension song, ‘All Of Me’, which was met with a mass sing-a-long as phones lit up the 20,000 seater arena.
The ‘Ordinary People’ hitmaker continues his ‘Darkness And The Light Tour’ at the First Direct Arena in Leeds on Friday (15.09.17).

Spandau Ballet have shortlist of singers

OHMYGOSSIP — Spandau Ballet have several potential singers in line to replace frontman Tony Hadley – who announced he had quit the band in July.
The remaining members of the British group – Martin Kemp, Gary Kemp, Steve Norman and John Keeble – are determined to carry on performing and have now revealed that they are due to start rehearsals with the potential vocalists in a “couple weeks” to find a new singer.
Speaking after a screening in London of a new documentary which explores the recording of their fifth album ‘Through The Barricades’ and subsequent 1986/1987 world tour on Tuesday night (12.09.17), bassist Martin, 55, said: “I’ll tell you the truth we’re in rehearsals in a couple of weeks, trying out new singers. We’re moving it on, and it’s moving on pretty fast. For me, this is probably the most excited I’ve been about the band for such a long time, we’re got all of this freedom and we don’t know what’s ahead and it’s exciting.
“What you’re doing when you come and see a band like Spandau now is you’re celebrating in those songs, so for me the number one thing is the songs.”
Guitarist-and-songwriter Gary – who is Martin’s older brother – insists the four remaining members are determined to carry on as Spandau Ballet despite the loss of Tony’s iconic voice and insists the magic of the band is bigger than any one member.
He said: “We’ve all been doing our own thing and then we spent some time doing this, and we like each other’s company. This is still the engine of Spandau Ballet. I think we still sound like Spandau Ballet when we play together. This is a band that started off with me and Steve, and then John, and we’ve grown and moved and we’ve been together for 40 years, and it seems a shame, I don’t think we are ready to give it up now.
“We are still in the process of looking (for a singer) but we are actively looking because we don’t want to finish. Spandau Ballet are bigger than one member.”
Tony, 57, revealed he had left the group in a Twitter post made on July 3 but Gary, 57, says the he and the other guys knew of his intentions two years earlier when he told them his plans during a trip to Hong Kong.
The musician said: “Just for clarification, that tweet that came out a couple of months ago, we all knew that way before then. Tony told us pretty much in Hong Kong that he didn’t want to do it two years ago.”
Spandau Ballet originally formed in 1979 and became one of the 80s biggest bands enjoying a string of his such as ‘Instinction’, ‘True’ and ‘Gold’.
They acrimoniously split in 1990 due to a row over royalties but eventually put their differences aside in 2009 for a huge reunion tour and new album ‘Once More’, which contained two fresh tracks and eleven re-recordings from their back catalogue.
They came together again in 2015 for another tour before Tony walked away.
Norman, 57, admits the band are as disappointed as the fans that Tony no longer wants to a part of Spandau Ballet but they are treating his exit as the start of a new chapter.
He said: “It’s a new chapter and as frustrating as it was for us, and it’s sad, and it’s sad for a lot of people especially the fans, but it also is for us. Our hands have been tied as well because obviously Tony had other ideas and we had other plans, and it just didn’t match up.
“At least now he’s focused on what he wants to do and now we can focus on what we want to do, and we are not going to replace Tony, you can’t fill those particular boots, you just have to find someone that can manage.”
“It’s going to be a bit tricky anyway, Tony has got a massive vocal range but someone different, someone that is bringing their own personality to it, which can cover those things … People say we can’t go on, but I think, ‘Why not?’
The remastered and extended anniversary edition of ‘Through The Barricades’ will be released on September 22.

Taylor Swift to debut album songs at MTV EMAs?

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift is reportedly set to launch her new album ‘Reputation’ at the 2017 MTV European Music Awards (EMAs).
The 27-year-old pop megastar’s sixth studio LP is released on November 10, and the annual awards ceremony just so happens to take place two days after in London.
The ‘Shake It Off’ hitmaker has a history with MTV after Kanye West notoriously stormed the stage at the Video Music Awards in 2009 because he thought Beyonce deserved the Best Female Video prize over Taylor.
However, a source says she is tipped to debut new songs off the follow-up to 2014’s ‘1989’ on the night.
An insider told The Daily Star newspaper: “Taylor Swift is the number one target for the EMAs.
“She has a great relationship with MTV, despite all her previously Kanye West run-ins, and it would be a wonderful way to perform songs off the new album live.”
The record’s lead single ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ is an apparent swipe at her sworn enemy and his wife Kim Kardashian West.
First off, Taylor – who is dating 26-year-old British actor Joe Alwyn – slams someone for their “titled stage” and the ‘All Day’ hitmaker had one during his ‘Saint Pablo’ tour in 2016.
Declaring her hate towards the said person, the ‘Shake It Off’ hitmaker sings the line: “I don’t like your little games/ Don’t like your titled stage/ The role you made me play/ Of the fool/ No, I don’t like you.”
The blonde beauty unveiled the video for the song at the Video Music Awards in August, and the footage appears to poke fun at her ex Tom Hiddleston and Katy Perry.
In one scene a number of male dancers are seen wearing crop tops with ‘I [heart] TS’ emblazoned on, a clear reference to the vest top with the same slogan which Tom was photographed in during their brief fling.
Taylor was also seen sitting in a bath of jewels during the video, which some believe could be a reference to Kim’s terrifying ordeal last year when armed robbers burst into the star’s Paris hotel room, tied her up and put her in the bathtub while they took off with millions worth of jewels.
The blonde beauty sings: “The role you made me play / Of the fool, no, I don’t like you / I don’t like your perfect crime.”

Drake is working on new album

OHMYGOSSIP — Drake is working on a new album.
The ‘One Dance’ hitmaker teased last month that he was going to return to Toronto, Canada, to start penning some tracks for a forthcoming LP, and it looks like he’s stayed true to his word and set the ball rolling as he’s now back in his home studio.
The 30-year-old rapper set tongues wagging on Tuesday (12.09.17) when he uploaded a photograph of his beautiful studio on his Instagram account.
He didn’t drop any hints and simply accompanied the shot with a traffic light emoji.
His subtle upload comes just weeks after he told fans at OVO music festival in his hometown that he’ll start to prepare his follow-up to the hugely successful ‘Views’.
Speaking on stage, with the backdrop of 2016 LP behind him, Drake told the crowd: “Im going to go back to making this new album in Toronto, just for you.”
It comes after the rapper released ‘Signs’ for fashion brand Louis Vuitton.
The track was unveiled at the fashion brand’s Spring/Summer 2018 catwalk show at the Domaine du Palais Royal in Paris, France in June.
Sharing the artwork on Instagram, he wrote: “New song inspired by @louisvuitton @mrkimjones new collection Drake x LV premieres tmrw produced by @ovo40 (sic)”
After ‘Views’ last year, Drake released the mixtape ‘More Life’.
The compilation of songs broke streaming records on both Apple Music and Spotify.
Within the first 24 hours of being released, the project garnered a whopping 89.9 million streams globally on Apple Music – handing him a new world record for streams in a 24-hour period.
And, on Spotify, the first full day of release for ‘More Life’ saw it rake in the best first-day streams for any album on the service.

Jessie J announces new mini album R.O.S.E

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessie J has announced a new mini album called ‘R.O.S.E’.
The ‘Price Tag’ hitmaker took to Instagram on Tuesday night (12.09.17) to unveil the four-track EP, which is named after her mother Rose, but is also an acronym for Realisations, Obsessions, Sex and Empowerment.
The 29-year-old beauty has created a song for each word.
In a video, she says: “My mother is called Rose, she gave me the gift of life. A rose is at its most beautiful when budding. I rose above the pain.
“We give roses or a single rose as a gift with so many different feelings. This is my gift to you.
“For each letter there is a word and for each word there’s a song I will share with you.”
Jessie also opened up about how “lost” she felt after her last record, 2014’s ‘Sweet Talker’, under-performed, but ultimately nothing could tear her away from her passion which is her bloodline.
Whilst walking through a field, Jessie says in the clip: “I tried to stop and I didn’t know how to because it’s impossible to walk away from true love. Art, emotion, lyrics, music, feeling is what I need to survive.
“I don’t do this because I want to do it, I do it because I have to.”
Speaking of her break from the spotlight, she explains: “I lost my passion to create, to draw a line between business and art.
“I’d fallen into darkness and allowed myself to be led by fear. The fear was keeping other people happy who didn’t ever care about me and I was running deeper into something and someone I wasn’t.
“The music I said I didn’t want to make is what brought me back to life.
“The anger, the honest, the heartache, the pain, the joy, the strength, the love, it all happened for a reason.”
The ‘Big White Room’ hitmaker has teamed up with producer DJ Camper – who has worked with the likes of John Legend and Tamara Braxton – for the record.
The lead single is ‘Think About That’, which is due to drop on Friday (15.09.17).
The British star recently made a comeback with the song ‘Real Deal’, which she released in association with confectionery brand M&Ms.
A release date for ‘R.O.S.E’ is yet to be confirmed.

Bebe Rexha: I don’t like creative boundaries

OHMYGOSSIP — Bebe Rexha hates working inside creative “boundaries”.
The 28-year-old singer has revealed she doesn’t enjoy being pigeonholed as a musician, and also admitted she didn’t relish writing for other artists who were asking her to produce a very specific, radio-friendly sound.
She shared: “Back in the day everything was so specific to the ‘type’ of artist you were.
“This is what you look like, this is what you sound like, it was like boom-boom-boom. Being a writer at the time, it was actually hurtful because people would be like, ‘Wow you’re stuff is too everywhere, who are you?'”
Bebe has previously co-written hit tracks like the Eminem and Rihanna single ‘The Monster’.
But she’s confessed to experiencing some frustrations when she’s been asked to pen songs for other stars.
Speaking to Billboard, Bebe explained: “When I was just doing songwriting they would send me sheets, and they would say things like, ‘This artist is looking for this, there’s a new girl group and they’re looking for something that sounds like Rihanna meets Christina Aguilera and Coldplay, or whatever, and we want this type of vibe.’ But I don’t like boundaries.”
Meanwhile, Bebe previously claimed her single-minded attitude and ability to write her own hits has earned her the admiration of her female fans.
She reflected: “Girls like that: someone who says, ‘This is who I am, I’m a strong woman, I did it the right way.’
“I write my own songs, no one’s sitting there creating a pop chick. They need to know they can do it too and that anything is possible.”

Marilyn Manson’s album inspired by Rihanna

OHMYGOSSIP — Marilyn Manson’s new album was “strangely” inspired by Rihanna’s song ‘Love On The Brain’.
The 48-year-old goth rocker once saw the R&B star perform the song – from her last record ‘Anti’ – live and was in awe of her authenticity, which influenced him whilst making his forthcoming LP ‘Heaven Upside Down’.
He told Consequence of Sound: “Strangely enough, one of the records that influenced this album strongly, and it can’t be taken literally [sonically], is Rihanna, her last record.
“That one song, ‘Love On The Brain’, it really hit me because I saw her perform it and she just … meant it.”
The ‘Tainted Love’ singer recently met with trap rap star Lil Uzi Vert whilst having dinner with hip-hop royalty Rick Ross, and revealed the latter was desperate to collaborate with him.
He recalled: “I’m at this hotel and I’m having dinner with Rick Ross, who said his dream is to work with me.
“He ghosted me a bit. But the same night, I hung out with Lil Uzi after we had talked. And we talked a lot. He ghosted me also. I don’t know if by the time this airs, he will have still ghosted me.”
Manson debuted lead single ‘We Know Where You F**king Live’ on Zane Lowe’s Apple Beats 1 Radio Show on Monday night (11.09.17) and announced the album will drop on October 6.
Prior to the record, fans will get to hear ‘Kill4Me’ on September 20.
The ‘Personal Jesus’ hitmaker had originally planned to call his 10th outing ‘Say10’ and release it on the most romantic day of the year, Valentine’s Day.
At the time, he said: “‘Say10’, that is the new Marilyn Manson record coming out on Valentine’s Day.”

ABBA plot virtual reality tour for 2019

OHMYGOSSIP — ABBA’s Virtual Reality tour is to take place in 2019.
The Swedish pop superstars split up in 1982 after 10 years together, but are still dedicated to keeping the spirit and memory of the band alive for their fans.
The ‘Eurovision’ winners – Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, Anni-Frid (Frida) Lyngstad and Agnetha Faltskog – have never reunited before, but Benny has confirmed they’ll be back in digital form, at least.
The 70-year-old musician told Swedish publication the Expressen: “It will take a bit of time, it takes time to digitalise a face.
“It’s fun that it’s so technologically advanced. It will be interesting.”
The ‘Dancing Queen’ hitmakers teamed up with the Spice Girls’ former manager Simon Fuller and Universal for the unique project, which allows fans to see and hear the group in a whole new way.
Simon said at the time: “The creativity and ideas flowing from the members of ABBA over the past few months have filled me with great excitement. We are exploring a new technological world, with Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence at the forefront, that will allow us to create new forms of entertainment and content we couldn’t have previously imagined.”
The project is expected to involve all four members of ABBA, who first came together in Stockholm in 1972.
In the meantime, the group have announced a new immersive exhibition in London.
‘ABBA: Super Troupers’ will hit the capital’s Southbank Centre in December, and will give their admirers the chance to delve into their archives.
There will be different rooms which have been setup to replicate the biggest moments in the bands’ history.
They include a reproduction of the Brighton Grand Hotel room, which the ‘Waterloo’ stars made their home during their 1974 ‘Eurovision’ win.
Singer Björn, 72, said: “Since our songs, which were written in the 70s, are still being played today it’s particularly interesting that the Southbank Centre exhibition is placing them in the temporal context in which they were created.
“We recorded ‘Mamma Mia’ in 1975. What happened that year in the UK and in the world? One thing is for certain – it seems unbelievably long ago!”
‘ABBA: Super Troupers’ opens at the Southbank Centre from December 14 to April 29, 2018.

Yes cancel tour after Steve Howe’s son dies

OHMYGOSSIP — Yes have cancelled the rest of their ‘Yestival Tour’ following the sudden death of guitarist Steve Howe’s son.
The progressive rock group – comprised of Steve, Alan White, Geoff Downes, Jon Davison and Billy Sherwood – have asked for fans to respect their privacy at the “difficult time” as they take time out following the tragic news that 42-year-old Virgil passed away, with his cause of death currently unknown.
The Hall of Fame inductees have pulled their shows in Moorhead, Cedar Rapids, London, Rochester, Boston and Huntington and have offered refunds to ticket holders.
A post on the ‘Roundabout’ hitmaker’s Facebook page read: “Due to the tragic, unexpected death of guitarist Steve Howe’s beloved younger son, Virgil, YES regrettably announces that the remaining dates of their Yestival Tour have been cancelled.
Ticket refunds for the affected tour dates (in Moorhead, Cedar Rapids, London, Rochester, Boston and Huntington) will be available at point of purchase.
YES — Steve Howe, Alan White, Geoff Downes, Jon Davison and Billy Sherwood — want to thank all their fans for their support and understanding at this time.
Steve Howe and family ask for their privacy to be respected during this difficult time. (sic)”
Virgil was also a respected musician, a drummer in the band Little Barrie, famed for penning the Netflix theme song for the show ‘Better Call Saul’.
The news broke just as the band were due to start a tour in Cambridge in the UK on Tuesday (12.09.17), in support of their album ‘Death Express’ which was released in July.
Virgil had teamed up with his famous father on several occasions providing the drums, vocals and keys on Steve’s 1993 record ‘The Grand Scheme of Things’.
The late sticksman leaves behind his model wife Jen Dawson – whom he married in 2007 – his parents Steve and Janet and his siblings Dylan, Georgia and Stephanie.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club announce new album

OHMYGOSSIP — Black Rebel Motorcycle Club have announced their first album in almost five years, ‘Wrong Creatures’.
The ‘Ain’t No Easy Way’ group’s eighth studio album – the follow-up to 2013’s ‘Specter At The Feast’ – will be released on January 12, and features the lead single ‘Little Thing Gone Wild’, which is out now.
The US rockers were forced to go on hiatus partly because drummer Leah Shapiro needed life saving surgery for Chairi Malformation, a rare disorder that restricts the flow of spinal fluid between the brain and spine.
The trio – completed by Peter Hayes (vocal, guitar, harmonica) and Robert Levon Been (vocal, bass, guitar) – had come off a tour and began sketching out new songs in their private lockout space appropriately nicknamed ‘The Bunker’ in North Hollywood.
Robert says they all needed time to recuperate as has battled with depression.
He said: “It’s a crazy making machine, it can chew you up good, I mean we literally toured ’till the wheels came off and Leah’s brain literally started leaking out of her head.
“I know I’ve battled on and off with mental depression, and Pete’s head never came with any proper instructions.”
Producer Nick Launay – who has worked with the likes of Arcade Fire and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds – was largely responsible for their new direction, which is somewhat dark and morbid.
Peter said: “I find myself writing about death a lot.
“I find myself having a discussion with death, which sounds dark. For me, it’s dark humour.”
Robert added: “We are truly an island – come hell or high water, so it’s usually best to dress accordingly. Though I’m not sure what the proper attire is when drowning in fire.”

Jay Kay to receive BMI President’s Award

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamiroquai’s Jay Kay is to receive the BMI President’s Award at the BMI London Awards on October 9.
The 47-year-old singer will join the likes of Pink, Adam Levine, Willie Nelson and last year’s recipient Toni Braxton, when he picks up the prestigious accolade at the awards ceremony at the Dorchester Hotel next month.
Jay said: “It is an honour to be awarded the BMI’s President’s Award for 2017. People who have received this award before me have been hugely influential in the music industry.
“So it’s a huge compliment and I am very thankful that the BMI felt I was worthy of it. I feel immensely proud to have even been nominated and I’m looking forward to a fantastic night in October.”
The ‘Cosmic Girl’ star, who has already undergone two operations on his spine, has been out of action after he was forced to cancel several UK tour dates (rescheduled for December) earlier in the year, due to a spinal injury, so it no doubt comes as a nice surprise for the ‘Virtual Insanity’ hitmaker.
The event will be hosted by BMI President & CEO Mike O’Neill and Brandon Bakshi, BMI’s Executive Director, Creative for Europe & Asia
Bakshi added: “Jay Kay’s extraordinary creativity has carved a prolific career spanning not only three decades, but also multiple genres. As a dynamic and mesmerising performer he has entertained millions across the globe whilst continuing to add to his exceptionally diverse catalogue. We are extremely proud to award Jay Kay the BMI President’s Award for his originality which has inspired generations of musicians and fans alike.”
Together with his bandmates, the singer has had Grammys, Ivor Novellos, MTV Awards, and 13 BRIT Award nominations during a career spanning more than two decades.
Jamiroquai’s greatest hits album ‘High Times: Singles 1992-2006’ went double platinum in the UK alone.

Sam Smith at his rawest

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Smith “shows more of himself” on his new album than his last.
The ‘Stay With Me’ hitmaker has been able to really open up about his personal life on his second record – the follow-up to 2014’s hugely successful ‘In The Lonely Hour’ – and hasn’t held anything back.
He explained: “I feel rawer in it. I feel like I’m actually showing more of myself.
“‘In The Lonely Hour’ is like a gin & tonic with your friends, and this album is like a whiskey, late night, by yourself.”
Not only does the 25-year-old singer talk about relationships, but he has also penned lyrics about his family and his views of the world around him.
And Sam admits he’ll probably never write a “happy” record.
He told iHeartRadio: “I feel like I’ve grown as a songwriter. I’ve really tried to push myself, and not just write songs that are about me and my relationships.
“They’re about my family, and I’ve spoken a bit about the world and my views on that.
“Every single song on this album is a little short story. It’s a heartfelt, it’s not the happiest album, I’m never gonna write the happiest album, I’m never gonna write the happiest music, because what’s the fun in that?”
Sam – who made his comeback last week with lead single ‘Too Good at Goodbyes’ – hopes people won’t ask too many questions about the content of his songs though, as he thinks being “really personal” means all the information is in the lyrics.
He said: “My views on that is I feel that if I’m being really personal then hopefully I won’t have to say anything other than that. You’ve just got to listen to the music.”
And Sam won’ be telling people if a song on the album is about them, as he doesn’t want to “give them the air time”.
He said: “Do you know what? First album, it was different because it was about one person. This album, each song is about someone … not someone different, but like four or five songs are about one guy, and then there’s other songs about different people in my life, not actually about me. But no, I won’t be telling the person who it’s about. I don’t want to give them the air time, really.”

Noel Gallagher looks back in anger at Liam on LP

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher has reportedly channelled his anger about brother Liam Gallagher into his new solo album.
The 50-year-old guitarist has barely spoken to his younger sibling and bitter rival ever since he quit Oasis in August 2009, but that hasn’t stopped Liam regularly taking to Twitter to throw jibes at Noel who he has branded a “stalker potato”, blasted for supporting U2 and criticised for his response to the terrorist attack that took place outside the Manchester Arena in the pair’s hometown in May – following his no-show at the One Love Manchester benefit concert held in June.
Noel was busy working on his third High Flying Birds album with producer David Holmes for much much of 2017 and two songs called ‘Be Careful What You Wish For’ and ‘Black And White Sunshine’ are believed to take aim at the ‘Songbird’ songwriter.
David – who has remixed tracks for the likes of U2, Primal Scream and Ice Cube in the past and is renowned for his movie soundtrack work – encouraged Noel to come into his studio in Belfast, Northern Ireland, with no pre-written songs so the pair could write spontaneously and some of the tracks were created in the midst of 44-year-old Liam’s relentless barbs.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: “David wanted Noel to ditch all the material he had when they started sessions last year and experiment in the studio. Inevitably there were days when Noel would have read or seen some of Liam’s rants. He may have stayed silent publicly so far but he channelled some reactions into his songs.”
Following the We Are Manchester benefit gig which was held on Saturday (09.09.17) to re-open the Manchester Arena and headlined by Noel, Liam slammed his brother’s emotional performance, claiming his sibling “doesn’t give a f**k” about what happened.
Noel was tearful as he sang ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ at the reopening of Manchester Arena on Saturday (09.09.17) urging the crowd to sing along to the “anthem of defiance” in a showing of solidarity with the victims of the attack that happened at an Ariana Grande concert, but Liam felt Noel wasn’t being sincere.
He tweeted: “NG broke down in tears cmon you seriously ain’t buying that. He doesn’t give a f**k. Don’t buy into his PR stunt. He doesn’t give a f**k. If the same thing had have gone on in Edinburgh he’d been up there like a shot ahem. (sic)”
The first single from Noel’s as-yet-untitled LP – the follow-up to 2015’s ‘Chasing Yesterday’ – is called ‘It’s A Beautiful World’ and is due to be released imminently. His album follows in November.
Liam’s debut solo LP ‘As You Were’ is out on October 6 and he previously told fans to expect 2017 to be “the year of the face off” between the pair.
He tweeted: “2017 the year of the face off Wright vs wrong Real Vs fake Love vs Hate as you were LFUKING x He’s not the messiahs he’s a vet NORTY boy … Chilli putter Carlo void man (sic)”
Like brother Noel, Liam has previously used his music to attack his family rival.
On ‘BE’, the second album by ‘Beady Eye’ – the band he formed with the other final members of Oasis in the wake of the break-up – Liam penned ‘Don’t Brother Me’ which contained lyrics mocking Noel’s solo career and his friendships.
It has been speculated that his new tracks ‘Greedy Soul’ and ‘You Better Run’ contain swipes at Noel.

Liam Gallagher doesn’t want to be a solo artist

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher is desperate to collaborate with The Stone Roses.
The 44-year-old singer is set to release his debut solo album titled ‘As You Were’ next month, but the star has admitted he would “much prefer” to be in a band, or to be able to partner up with anyone in the ‘I Am the Resurrection’ group – who are believed to have split up earlier this year – because he thinks there are “far too many” soloists in the music industry.
Speaking to Consequenceofsound.net about his career, he said: “Anyone that would be in a supergroup or that would have anything to do with a supergroup are all solo. There’s far too many solo stars out there for my liking and not enough bands. I’m doing this cause I have to. I’d much prefer to be in a band.
“The ideal ones would be the guys out of The Stone Roses. I think they just split up, so that would be good. [Richard] Ashcroft would be good. There’s a lot of people out there, but the majority of them are all doing their own thing. But, if they want to do one, give us a shout. I’ll do it.”
Although the ‘Wonderwall’ hitmaker is open to collaborating with fellow musicians, he won’t go through with any partnerships if he isn’t singing.
He explained: “But, I’d have to be the singer. I’m down with it, but I’m not going to f**king stand there and do tambourine. I need to be on the f***ing mic, man.”
Now Liam has left Oasis following his feud with his brother and fellow band member, Noel, he plans to simply “enjoy” his career and live “in the moment”, because he feels time has passed him by.
He added: “But one record at a time, man. That’s one thing I’ve learned over the last 20 years — to f**king enjoy it and be in the moment. The last couple things, I got caught up in the bubble, and it just passes you by, and you go, ‘Well, what the f**k happened there?’ So, this time, one record at a time, and I guess we’ll see how it goes. You got to live in the now, man, cause it’s precious. As you get older, every day is f**kin’… You gotta wear it, you know what I mean? Thinking about the future, f**k that shit.
“I’m feeling good about it, so we’ll see what happens at the end of the tour.”

Zayn Malik: Taylor Swift’s cool

OHMYGOSSIP — Zayn Malik thinks Taylor Swift is “cool”.
The ‘Pillowtalk’ hitmaker has defended his pal and praised her for being “successful, professional and fun”.
He said: “I don’t listen to [criticism]. I rate her as an artist, I think she’s cool, I think she’s successful, and I think she deserves her success because she’s worked hard.
“I did a song with her, it was fun, she was professional. She gets on with my girlfriend, they’re good friends. I don’t have a bad word to say about her. She’s cool.”
And when it comes to his own music and personal life, the 24-year-old singer – who is dating Gigi Hadid – doesn’t “pay too much attention” to what people say about him too.
He added to Fader magazine: “When it comes to anything that has to do with trivia about people’s personal lives or things that’s going on in their careers, I don’t necessarily pay too much attention. I don’t pay too much attention to what people even say about me. I just tend to take it for what it is when I meet them people in real life and have a conversation with them. If they’re cool with me, then I base my relationship on that.”
Meanwhile, Zayn previously insisted a tour is “definitely on the cards” for his second album.
When asked what happened to touring plans for his first album, he said: “We did a few auditions for the band, and we got a band together, but I just wasn’t feeling it. The first record, I didn’t feel like there was enough material to do a proper show. So I just waved it off until the second album, so I can get the best of both. I think my confidence is definitely improved now, so a tour is definitely on the cards. I’m excited to start rehearsing.”
