Noel Gallagher says No-way-sis to psychedelic LP in old band

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher says he couldn’t have made his new psychedelic record in Oasis – because it would’ve been “bedlam”.
The 50-year-old guitarist doesn’t think his third High Flying Birds LP ‘Who Built The Moon?’ would have gone down well with his bandmates, including bitter rival and sibling Liam Gallagher – the group’s former frontman – and admits they’d probably still be making it now if they attempted to do it in the mid-90s.
Asked if he was ready to record the experimental album two albums ago – on 2015’s ‘Chasing Yesterday’ or 2011’s self-titled LP – Noel told Matt Everitt on BBC 6 Music: “No. I think this is the right time now. Absolutely the right time. We couldn’t have done that in Oasis, there would have been bedlam, blood bath. If we’d have done that after ‘…Morning Glory’, I’d guarantee we’d still be working on it now.
“I couldn’t have done it on the first two records because I am not sure I was in the right place to just give it over to someone. Just trying to get yourself in the door (as a solo artist). It’s the right time.”
Liam took a swipe at his “beige” brother’s record a day before it was announced on Sunday (24.09.17), comparing it to a “vegetarian trying to sell you a kebab”.
The ‘Wall of Glass’ hitmaker also said that Noel will need more than his pals Paul Weller and Johnny Marr to make an “out there” record.
In a series of tweets, Liam wrote: “Psychedelic music by a beige drip is like a vegetarian trying to sell you a kebab as you were LG x … It takes more than wheeling out your old mate uri geller and har mar superstar to make a so called out there record snoozer as you were LG (sic)”
Weller plays the organ on ‘Holy Mountain and guitarist Marr has recorded guitars and harmonicas on ‘If Love Is The Law’ on the LP.
It is the second time The Smiths legend Marr has collaborated on one of Noel’s solo tunes, after previously playing guitar on ‘Ballad of the Mighty I’ which features on Noel’s previous record ‘Chasing Yesterday’.
The pair have barely spoken ever since Noel quit Oasis in August 2009, but that hasn’t stopped the 45-year-old rocker regularly taking to Twitter to throw jibes at Noel who he has branded a “stalker potato”, blasted for supporting U2 and criticized for his response to the terrorist attack that took place outside the Manchester Arena in the pair’s hometown in May – following his no-show at the One Love Manchester benefit concert held in June.
Noel releases ‘Who Built The Moon?’ on November 24, whilst Liam’s debut solo LP ‘As You Were’ is out on October 6.

The Darkness slam Southern Trains on new song

OHMYGOSSIP — The Darkness have recorded a song about train delays titled ‘Southern Trains’.
Justin Hawkins and co had to endure the problematic Southern Trains service in Southern England whilst making their new record ‘Pinewood Smile’ and were so fed up with the constant cancellations and holds up that they fuelled their anger into the high-octane and expletive-laden track.
Justin explained: “This song has genuine realness in it, innit. Dan and I had to endure the Southern Trains “services” during the making of this album.
“The only difference between a normal day on Southern Trains and a day when they’re all on strike, is that on strike day the ArseClownery is deliberate.
“They are utterly incapable of running a reliable service. Fact. The rest of the world is laughing at us. I hope this song goes some way towards facilitating change…”
The 42-year-old rocker sings about having to eat food with a fellow passengers butt in his face and grown men “weeping”.
The lyrics include: “Major delays, cancellations, tedious conversations / Trying to eat your dinner
With an arse in your face, It’s a disgrace … Heaving carriages of indignation / Grown men weeping in pure frustration
Totally packed and always late.”
The ‘I Believe In a Thing Called Love’ hitmakers have also made an entertaining music video, which sees the band performing the song via ludicrously fun Snapchat videos.
‘Southern Trains’ is out now, and ‘Pinewood Smiles’ – the follow-up to 2015’s ‘The Last of Our Kind’ – follows on October 6.

Travis Barker solo LP features Kendrick Lamar and more

OHMYGOSSIP — Travis Barker’s solo album features Kendrick Lamar, Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa and more.
The 41-year-old Blink 182 drummer has revealed he has almost completed his new record featuring some of the biggest hip-hop stars of all time.
He said: “I am 70 per cent done with my new solo album. The next part, the most important piece, is for me to go play drums on it now.
“We’ve got the programming, I’ve made all of the beats, the second step was to get all of the artists and find out which artists sound great on which beats.
“The third step is me playing drums on it, mixing it and then putting it out.”
Asked about who features on it, he told Rhythm Magazine: “I can mention some of the guests. I have Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Run The Jewels, Wiz Khalifa, Kendrick, Jay 305, YG, Anderson Paak, The Game, Problem …I have a lot of guests! I have a lot and I am still writing right now.”
The heavily-tattooed hunk also revealed he wants to start a jazz project after his hip-hop record is out.
Once the ‘All The Small Things’ trio – completed by Mark Hoppus and Matt Skiba – have some downtime, he’d like to “exercise” his passion for the genre as he admits being behind the drum kit all the time doesn’t give him the chance to experiment with making music much.
He said: “When all is said and done, I would love to do a jazz project. That would be so much fun.
“Or even now if I had time, but there hasn’t been a lot of time.
“I would love to do that, I just love playing anything.
“When I get off this tour I will just beg to do something different. I love switching it up.
“Even while I’m out here, I feel like Blink shows are a test of endurance, precision and power.
“Whereas I don’t always get to exercise, and I think it is like this for a lot of drummers, I don’t get to exercise a lot of the other.”

Liam Gallagher takes aim at ‘beige’ brother Noel’s new album

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher has taken a swipe at his “beige” brother Noel Gallagher’s new “psychedelic” album.
The former Oasis frontman took to Twitter the night before his sibling and former bandmate’s album announcement for his third High Flying Birds LP ‘Who Built The Moon?’ on Sunday (24.09.17), to criticise the 50-year-old guitarist’s reputed psychedelic record, comparing it to a “vegetarian trying to sell you a kebab”.
The 53-year-old rocker also previously laid down riffs on Oasis’ 2002 fifth album ‘Heathen Chemistry’ featuring on three songs; ‘(Probably) All in the Mind’ penned by Noel and ‘Born on a Different Cloud’ and ‘Better Man’ which were written Liam.
It was previously reported that Noel has channelled his anger about Liam into the solo album.
The pair have barely spoken ever since Noel quit Oasis in August 2009, but that hasn’t stopped the 45-year-old rocker regularly taking to Twitter to throw jibes at Noel who he has branded a “stalker potato”, blasted for supporting U2 and criticised for his response to the terrorist attack that took place outside the Manchester Arena in the pair’s hometown in May – following his no-show at the One Love Manchester benefit concert held in June.
The tracks ‘Be Careful What You Wish For’ and ‘Black And White Sunshine’ are believed to take aim at the ‘Songbird’ songwriter.
Noel’s producer David Holmes encouraged him to come into his studio in Belfast, Northern Ireland, with no pre-written songs so the pair could write spontaneously and some of the tracks were created in the midst of 45-year-old Liam’s relentless barbs.
A source said previously: “David wanted Noel to ditch all the material he had when they started sessions last year and experiment in the studio. Inevitably there were days when Noel would have read or seen some of Liam’s rants. He may have stayed silent publicly so far but he channelled some reactions into his songs.”
Noel releases ‘Who Built The Moon?’ on November 24, whilst Liam’s debut solo LP ‘As You Were’ is out on October 6 and he previously told fans to expect 2017 to be “the year of the face off” between the pair.
Liam previously tweeted: “2017 the year of the face off Wright vs wrong Real Vs fake Love vs Hate as you were LFUKING x He’s not the messiahs he’s a vet NORTY boy … Chilli putter Carlo void man (sic)”

Ed Sheeran to make £75M from US tour

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran is reportedly set to make an estimated £75 million for his US stadium tour.
The 26-year-old singer/songwriter is predicted to rake in millions upon millions for his 2018 run, as it is reported he could make as much as £2.5 million profit per show.
The run will see the ‘Shape of You’ hitmaker perform 30 concerts in front of around 70,000 people each night, the Daily Star newspaper reports.
The tour will kick off in Pasadena, California, on August 18, and conclude on November 10 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Marketing expert Brodie Cooper commented: “He could play to packed houses for three months solid if he wanted.
“His revenues will be in the hundreds of millions.”
In 2015, Ed reportedly took £63,000 per concert on his ‘X Tour’.
The multi-million selling star made staggering profits during his 17-month world tour and had already raked in £6.2 million halfway through the series of concerts.
Accounts lodged with Companies House at the time, showed his finances until March of that year, by which he’d played 99 of 179 shows, revealing he had assets worth £6.6 million and £4.4 million in costs, leaving his company with £2.2 million of profit.
Separately-filed accounts from another of his companies indicated he earned almost £3.4 million from record sales and royalties in 2014.
The ‘Castle on the Hill’ singer has been riding high on the success of his album ‘Divide’, which has been breaking records left right and centre, including becoming the first artist to ever hold all top five positions in the Official UK chart, with all 16 of the tracks from record making it into the top 20.

Noel Gallagher unveils new album Who Built The Moon?

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher has unveiled his third solo album ‘Who Built The Moon?’.
The former Oasis guitarist has announced the full 11-song tracklisting of the LP – which again will be released under the High Flying Birds name – and revealed the record will drop on November 24. He will then head out on a world tour in 2018 which will kick off in Brighton on April 22.
Noel teamed up with David Holmes – who has remixed tracks for the likes of U2, Primal Scream and Ice Cube in the past and is renowned for his movie soundtrack work on films such as ‘Ocean’s Eleven and ‘Logan Lucky’ – for the follow-up to 2015’s ‘Chasing Yesterday’.
For the first time in his career, 50-year-old wrote every song in the studio and he was encouraged by David, 48, to vary his influences to include French psychedelic pop, classic electro, soul, rock, disco and dance.
The ‘Supersonic’ songwriter’s admits his psychedelic tracks are the result of being asked to, “stop playing guitar!” and to “play me a guitar solo you can dance to!?” by David.
Noel has recalled wanting to “strangle” the producer during the making of the song ‘The Man Who Built The Moon’, which he made him record so many retakes of, but in hindsight he admits the studio wizard was right to do so.
Noel explained: “We took a keyboard riff we liked from an unused track and added chords. A year later we came to deal with it as a song and when we got to the chorus, David kept asking me to write a new one … again and again and again. I was ready to strangle him. The one that you hear is the eighth attempt and, you know what? The annoying thing is he was right.”
The album features a host of guest musicians and some famous faces.
Love song ‘Holy Mountain’ – which is one of Noel’s favourite pieces on the record – features his friend and former Jam frontman Paul Weller playing the organ.
Explaining how it came together, Noel said: “David played me the sample, so I worked out the chords and we demoed just a few, short minutes of it, taking it away on tour and playing with it. When it became a song back in Belfast it was so joyous, I just had to do it justice. What’s more joyous than being in love, baby? So, I wrote a song about love and it’s one of the best things that I’ve ever done.”
Long-time pal and The Smiths legend Johnny Marr also makes an appearance playing the guitar and harmonica on ‘If Love Is The Law’.
It is the second time the pair have collaborated on one of Noel’s solo tunes, with Marr previously playing guitar on ‘Ballad of the Mighty I’ which features on ‘Chasing Yesterday’.
Marr, 53, also previously laid down riffs on Oasis’ 2002 fifth album ‘Heathen Chemistry’ featuring on three songs; ‘(Probably) All in the Mind’ penned by Noel and ‘Born on a Different Cloud’ and ‘Better Man’ which were written by his younger brother and former bandmate Liam Gallagher.
David is delighted with how rock legend Noel responded to his direction at his Belfast studio and thinks people are going to be blown away by the end result.
He said: “People are going to be surprised. I think people love Noel and they’re desperate for him to make a really big, bold, up-tempo beast of a record – a lot of Noel’s music is quite mid-tempo. This one is fun.”

J. Cole calls for an NFL boycott

OHMYGOSSIP — J. Cole has called for a boycott of the NFL.
The 32-year-old rap star has come out in support of his close friend Colin Kaepernick and other American football players who have taken a knee during the US national anthem in protest against racism, with Cole advocating a boycott of the popular sports league.
In a lengthy series of tweets, Cole wrote: “Bare with me I’m just a rapper.. now look.
“Every day they stay quiet on this they’re saying that they condone what’s happening to Kap and the message it sends.
“Well, you have a choice on how you respond to that. You can choose to not watch.
“if a boycott doesn’t force them to action, don’t even trip. This is where the real flex happens.
“Black people spend a lot of money with NFL corporate sponsors. White people who don’t f**k with white supremacy spend a lot of money too.
“So, next you turn your attention to these sponsors.
“Pick one of the biggest ones and say, ‘do you agree with black balling players when they speak out against oppression?’
“‘If not, why are you spending all this money with a League that clearly condones that? … ‘
“You know what, I don’t think I can spend my money with you no more until you fix this. (sic)”
The ‘Born Sinner’ hitmaker said that in order for social change to occur, TV viewers and fans must target business interests.
He added: “Thats when the magic happens. And sadly, in this capitalistic world we live in, that’s when your voice is heard. When you hurt the pockets.
“I respect whatever you decide to do. Watch or don’t watch, whatever’s in your heart. But I’m not watching til it feel right. (sic)”

Fergie’s son’s featured on her new album

OHMYGOSSIP — Fergie had to feature her son on her new album after hearing him speak French.
The ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’ hitmaker was amazed when her four-year-old son Axl repeated some little French phrases that she said so she recorded them and put them in her music.
She told The Today Show: “He sings songs all around the house so I brought this demo [for the song] home and I was just playing it, listening to it and I’m saying, like, ‘Enchante, comment allez-vous, tres bien’, and then he goes [mimicking her], ‘Enchante, comment allez-vous…’ and I go, ‘Oh my gosh!’
“When you hear your kid singing, in French, it was just mummy pride. I had to just record it.”
And the 42-year-old singer loved having Axl – who she shares with her estranged husband Josh Duhamel – join her on set when she was making a video for ‘A Little Work’.
Speaking about his cameo, she shared previously: “It was just really natural. We had planned to just film it whether he wanted to come or not – I just missed my son and wanted him to come to set! I was like, ‘Well, we can walk out of the church with him or not, depending on what mood Axl is in. If he’s crying and he doesn’t want to do it, then we wont do it!’
“But he was completely into it, we just made it like a play date. We play all the time at home in several costumes per day, so for us it was just another activity. We have a lot of good times!”

Brian Welch joins Chester Bennington tribute show line-up

OHMYGOSSIP — Korn’s Brian Welch will perform at the Chester Bennington tribute concert, despite having called him a “coward” for taking his own life.
The 47-year-old guitarist took to Facebook shortly after the news of the Linkin Park frontman’s tragic death was announced in July to blast the late singer for being “cowardly”, and claimed he had “lost respect” for him.
He later issued a statement apologising for his outburst, which he claims came as a result of him being “heartbroken” by the news, and it seems the remaining members of Linkin Park have forgiven him, as he will now take to the stage alongside his Korn band mate Jonathan Davies at the memorial concert being held in Chester’s honour at the Hollywood Bowl in California.
Brian confirmed the news on Instagram when he wrote: “When I heard the news about our friend Chester Bennington I was so sad, hurt and angry. In my shock and confusion I didn’t know how to process my feelings correctly. I spoke out from a broken heart and I want to thank the LP camp, and all of my friends and fans for the forgiveness, understanding and grace that was extended to me. I am honored to celebrate Chester’s life with our boys in LP, their fans, and many of my friends and colleagues in the music industry. @linkinpark@chesterbe #celebratelife (sic)”
As well as headline act Linkin Park – who will be performing without Chester for the first time – the ‘Coming Undone’ rockers will join the likes of Blink-182, Avenged Sevenfold members M. Shadows and Synyster Gates, several members of System of a Down, Yellowcard singer William Ryan Key, and solo artist Kiiara, who featured on Linkin Park track ‘Heavy’.
The concert – which is entitled ‘Linkin Park & Friends Celebrate Life in Honour of Chester Bennington’ – takes place on October 27, and money raised from the event will go to Music for Relief’s One More Light Fund in memory of the late singer.

Liam Payne’s next single out on October 20

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Payne’s next single will be released on October 20.
The One Direction hunk has taken to Twitter to reveal that his second solo single, entitled ‘Bedroom Floor’, will be released in just under a month’s time.
Liam confirmed the news when he quoted a tweet from a fan account which read: “#WhyWeLoveLiam because Bedroom Floor will be out Oct 20! (sic)”
He added above their tweet: “Yep! My new single #BedroomFloor comes out on the 20th October! (sic)”
Meanwhile, the ‘Strip That Down’ singer recently revealed he struggled to produce his own new material after One Direction went on hiatus because his life with girlfriend Cheryl Tweedy and their six-month-old son Bear is drama-free.
He said: “I had a bit of a problem formulating what was going on in my brain into the music at first because I was so content with everything in my personal life.
“It’s easy to spill your guts out on a ballad. But I was thinking, ‘Oh God, I’m really happy – what am I going to write about?!’
“When I left the band, I felt a bit stranded. It took time, but I know as an artist I am starting fresh now. This is Moment One. It’s the start line.”
And Liam, 24, also revealed that he struggled during his time in One Direction – alongside Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and former member Zayn Malik – because they could rarely leave their hotels while touring.
He said: “Cabin fever. It sent me a bit AWOL at one point, if I’m honest. I can remember when there were 10,000 people outside our hotel. We couldn’t go anywhere. It was just gig to hotel, gig to hotel. And you couldn’t sleep, because they’d still be outside.
“People were speaking to me about mental health in music the other day, and that’s a big issue. Sometimes you just need some sun, or a walk.”

James Arthur loved fan proposal

OHMYGOSSIP — James Arthur got “goosebumps” when an audience member proposed to his girlfriend during a concert.
The 29-year-old singer loves the stories he’s heard about the emotional ways people have connected to his single ‘Say You Won’t Let Go’ and he realised the track was truly “special” when he watched the fan pop the question while he was performing it.
He told Billboard: “It’s wild, that’s the only way to describe it. It’s out of control in a good way. I hear so many good things all the time about what this song has done for people.
“People are getting married to it, falling in love to it, making babies to it — the full spectrum. So I’m happy to have conceived something like that. I’m an artist and I’ve made something that people love. That’s the goal.
“The best story is something I saw in front of my eyes — we were performing in London and a guy got up and asked a girl to marry him.
“We kind of all stopped in our tracks and the crowd reacted to it. It was a real goosebumps moment. It was then that I know that the song is really special.”
James – who shot to fame after winning ‘The X Factor’ in 2012 – made a musical comeback with his album ‘Back From the Edge’ in 2016, two years after he lost his record deal over a string of controversies, and he now hopes the “miraculous” LP will help others who are struggling with adversity.
He said: “I think it started out being songs for me to help me out of a slump and it then became something that I’ve felt quite strongly about being a helpful album for people who might be going through some kind of adversity.
“I never thought I would actually make a comeback, so when that happened and the album was a success, it gave the album like 10 times more context and became even more powerful. It’s quite miraculous, really.”

Lady Gaga slammed by music director

OHMYGOSSIP — Joseph Kahn has slammed Lady Gaga for her revelations about the ‘Edge of Glory’ video.
Gaga explained there was drama during the shoot in her new Netflix documentary ‘Five Foot Two’, when she said: “When I shot the music video for this song, I had a fight with the director,” but Joseph took to Twitter to hit back at her claims.
He wrote: “That story Gaga says about the Edge of Glory video shoot is complete bulls**t lol. But have at it.
“Since you asked. None of this is true lol. No fight. No ultimatum. No firing. Not even quitting. Just me walking away from silliness.
“It’s amazing the tea I don’t spill. I’m just that good.”
It was previously claimed that Gaga and her team rejected Kahn’s concept for the video, which included a mermaid seascape and shots of the Brooklyn Bridge.
And after the video initially aired in 2011, Kahn insisted he was not involved.
He tweeted: “I did NOT direct Lady Gaga’s “Edge of Glory” video. Lady Gaga did. No, I don’t co-direct. One canvas, one paintbrush. Respect the art. Very simple rule with me (sic).”
Kahn is no stranger to controversy and recently claimed that Beyoncé copied Taylor Swift’s ‘Bad Blood’ look for ‘Formation’.
He said: “I suddenly understood the conflict of what’s going on in society and what battle rap serves, what prism to look at the movie through. It’s not ‘Formation’ at all. They try to say she’s wearing a black crop top and Beyoncé wore a black crop top. But they don’t see in 2015 in ‘Bad Blood,’ Taylor Swift was wearing a black crop top. I really do think, by the way, that Beyoncé copied ‘Bad Blood.'”

Bono’s letters in song

OHMYGOSSIP — U2’s new album is filled with “letters” to Bono’s loved ones.
The 57-year-old frontman – who has daughters Jordan, 28, and Memphis, 26, and sons Elijah, 18, and six-year-old John with wife Ali – admitted the group go into all their records as if it would be their last, and this time round on ‘Songs of Experience’, he felt it was particularly important to tell his family how he felt about them.
He said: “I know U2 go into every album like it’s their last one but even more this time I wanted the people around me that I loved to know exactly how I felt. So a lot of the songs are kind of letters, letters to Ali, letters to my sons and daughters, actually our sons and daughters.”
But it isn’t just his family that the ‘One’ hitmaker has reached out to on the record.
He continued in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine: “There’s a song called ‘The Showman’, which is a letter to our audience, it’s kind of about performers and how you shouldn’t trust them too much. It’s about me, haha. There’s a funny line, well, I think it’s funny anyway, ‘I lie for a living, I love to let on but you make it true when you sing along?’
“It’s like a Fifties Beatles-in-Hamburg type tune.
“There’s a letter to America called ‘American Soul’, Kendrick Lamar used a bit of this for ‘XXX’ on his new album.”
Bono even accidentally wrote a song directly to himself – but he admitted most of his lyrics are “all written” to him anyway.
He added: “And one that I didn’t realise until too late that I was writing to myself, ‘It’s the Little Things Give You Away’.
“In all of these advice type songs, you are of course preaching what you need to hear. In that sense, they’re all written to the singer.”

Nadine Coyle’s solo bridge

OHMYGOSSIP — Nadine Coyle thinks her latest single is a “good bridge” between Girls Aloud and her “out there” solo tracks.
The 32-year-old singer has made her pop comeback with ‘Go To Work’ and she hopes the song – her first since the band split – will appeal to fans of her former group and act as a gentle introduction to her upcoming solo album.
She said: “This song is a good bridge between Girls Aloud and some of the more ‘out there’ songs I’ve recorded. I’m reintroducing myself and I don’t want to do it by smacking people round the face with some massive song that I’m just singing the hell out of.”
Though Nadine doesn’t like having to be separated from her three-year-old daughter Anaiya – who she has with partner Jason Bell – for long, the periods she spends away because of her work makes her feel like the time they do get together is even better.
She told Grazia magazine: “She thinks my job is so much fun.
“I might have to go away with work for a few days but when I come back it feels like I actually get more time with her. So I feel very fortunate I can do that.”
The ‘Insatiable’ singer has been the subject of gossip and speculation over the years but she doesn’t get too upset by “ridiculous” stories as they are not particularly harmful or damaging to her reputation.
She said: “There have been loads of ridiculous stories… What can you do? It’s definitely part and parcel of the job.
“I always say as long as the story isn’t something that could put you in jail, it’s pretty much fair game.”

Liam Payne’s music struggles

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Payne had trouble writing solo music because he is too happy with Cheryl Tweedy.
The 24-year-old singer admitted he struggled to produce his own new material after One Direction went on hiatus because his life with Cheryl and their son Bear is drama-free.
He told the Daily Telegraph: “I had a bit of a problem formulating what was going on in my brain into the music at first because I was so content with everything in my personal life.
“It’s easy to spill your guts out on a ballad. But I was thinking, “Oh God, I’m really happy – what am I going to write about?!'”
However, Liam has found his voice, with two singles ‘Strip That Down’ and ‘Get Low’ and his third, ‘Bedroom Floor’, will be released next month, ahead of his 2018 album.
He said: “When I left the band, I felt a bit stranded. It took time, but I know as an artist I am starting fresh now. This is Moment One. It’s the start line.”
Liam also revealed that he struggled during his time in One Direction – with Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik – because they could rarely leave their hotels while touring.
Sometimes you just need some sun, or a walk.
“One of the problems was that we never stopped to celebrate what we’d done. I remember us winning loads of American Music Awards and then having to get on a plane straight away. It got to the point where success was so fluid. I don’t even know what happened to our songs, we just sang them, then sang some more. It was like a proper, hard job. Non-stop. I can concentrate a lot more now.”

Paris Jackson stars in Nahko’s Dragonfly video

OHMYGOSSIP — Paris Jackson has a starring role in Nahko’s new music video ‘Dragonfly’.
Ahead of the video’s official release next week, the singer/songwriter has revealed a behind the scenes video from the shoot, showing off his close bond with the 19-year-old actress.
Speaking about the concept for the video, Nahko said: “I specifically wanted to capture this young woman’s natural beauty and focus on what I thought would be a very perfect song to explain a transformational time that fit both her and I.”
Whilst Paris added: “We’re going through very similar things right now, each in our own way, but they both kind of fit the same template and there’s just a flow. It’s really rare to find that mutual frequency with another human being. When it does happen it’s pretty spectacular.”
‘Dragonfly’ is the first single from Nahko’s forthcoming debut solo album, ‘My Name is Bear’, which is slated for release on Friday, October 20. The 16 track collection serves as a “prequel” and merges the wonderful sounds of rustic acoustic guitars, upbeat energy, fiery percussion and ponderous lyrics.
Nahko will be embarking on a full U.S. and European headline tour on October 18, starting in Boston. He will perform at Manchester, Academy 3 on November 30, London’s Islington Assembly Hall on December 1 and The Fleece in Bristol on December 2.
