Jay Z cancels performance in Nebraska

OHMYGOSSIP — Jay Z has cancelled his performance in Nebraska.
The 47-year-old rapper has decided to scrap a concert, which was part of his ‘4:44′ tour, that was scheduled to take place on December 6 at the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, because of technical difficulties, and the artist will not go ahead with the show even with the glitches because he wants his set to be perfect.
Speaking in a statement about the gig, which has been obtained by Omaha World-Herald, he said: “This tour is too important to me to do it halfway. I have to cancel the show.”
Not only does the ’99 Problems’ hitmaker want to put on a faultless show, he also doesn’t want to be seen as taking his fans’ money “and run”, because he “respects” his loyal supporters “too much”.
He continued: “I respect you guys too much to take the money and run.”
The technological issue is believed to be the production teams difficulty in setting up large screens for clips of the tour to be projected on.
Ticketmaster has also confirmed the cancelled date, where a guest performance by Vic Mensa was also set to take place.
The site reads: “This event has been cancelled.”
And customers are set to receive a full refund, and orders placed online or over the phone will “automatically” be void and refunded.
Ticketmaster added: “Refunds at Point of Purchase only. Internet & Phone orders will automatically be cancelled & refunded. ”
Jay Z – who has five-year-old daughter Blue Ivy and five-month-old twins Rumi and Sir with his wife Beyonce – will continue to take to the stage and wow audiences in various sites across California, Washington and Oregon before his tour wraps up on December 21.

Jessie Ware finds working motherhood tough

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessie Ware admitted touring with a young baby has left her “feeling dead”.
The 33-year-old singer- who has a 14-month-old daughter with her husband Sam – admitted it was a “romantic idea” that the family could travel the world without help but she’s finding it tough because she has little time to rest.
Asked how it all works, she said: “I mean, it’s just not. But it will.
“She’s wonderful, but it’s hard. I’m exhausted.
“We’ve all had the stomach bug. We were in hospital with her the night before we flew to America. I was vomiting before the San Francisco show.
“There’s no possibility to f***ing rest. I’m on the biggest adrenalin comedown from being a new mum, writing a new record, promoting it, to now feeling dead.
“It’s fine, but it’s eye-opening.”
However, Jessie is determined to push through and make a success of her career.
She told Grazia magazine: “I don’t know why I have to utter it under my breath but I’m ambitious.
“I care about my career and I knew I had to work. And yet I had a baby!
“I don’t know why I f***ing did but I did it. I’m not gonna fall now.”
But the ‘Say You Love Me’ singer believes being a parent gave her a new “focus” when it came to working on her new album, ‘Glasshouse’.
She said: “Motherhood was essential to that. It gave me such focus.
“If I’m gonna be away from my baby I would make sure it was gonna work.
“I knew what I wanted to do more than ever. There was this decisiveness. Like, ‘Cool, I’ve decided to have a child while making my third record, I’m nowhere near as successful as I could be. I haven’t achieved what I want to achieve… whatever that is.’ ”

Noel Gallagher thinks fans will ‘adore’ his new music later in life

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher thinks fans will “adore” his new music later in life.
The 50-year-old singer’s rock band High Flying Birds dropped their third studio album titled ‘Who Built The Moon?’ on November 24, and though the star has acknowledged people may dislike his record because it is different to his previous tracks, he believes in the “long run” fans will soon come round to the compilation and enjoy it.
Speaking to Radio X’s John Kennedy, Noel – who is known for being in Oasis alongside his sibling Liam Gallagher until the band split in 2009 following a backstage feud at a concert – said: “You know there’s still people who want to live through 1995, and that’s great. But we lived through 1995, and that’s kind of what we did then, it’s not what we do now.
“And I must say to them if you’re in any way mildly disappointed by this record, then the next few years are not going to be fun for you, because there’s no going back from here.
“I reckon in the long run, people will adore this record because it’s got more legs than the other two, for sure.”
But the ‘Wonderwall’ hitmaker thinks listeners had already made up their mind about his new release before hearing every single on the LP.
Noel – who has 17-year-old daughter with ex-partner Meg Matthews, as well as sons Donovan, 10, and Sonny, seven, with his current wife Sara MacDonald – continued: “I suddenly realised that the people who are not having this album the most… are the people who haven’t heard it. They’ve heard the trailer, and a bit of ‘Holy Mountain’.
“People were very, very sure that they were not having this album.
“That’s fascinating, that you are willing to just dismiss it because of what you think it is. Partly that was intentional, because on the trailer I put the most divisive music on there.”

Jaden Smith spent ‘a long three years’ creating SYRE

OHMYGOSSIP — Jaden Smith has been working on his new album ‘SYRE’ for “a long three years”.
The 19-year-old artist and actor recently released his debut album, and the star has admitted it “feels good” having the 17-track compilation “out into the world”, especially after spending the last 36 months creating it.
Speaking to Billboard about his latest venture, the ‘The Karate Kid’ star – who is the son of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith – said: “It feels good to have it out into the world. It’s been a long three years.”
Jaden’s artwork features contributions from A$AP Rocky on the track ‘Breakfast’, as well as Raury, his girlfriend Odessa Adlon on ‘Lost Boy’, and his 17-year-old sister Willow Smith who appears on ‘B’.
And the star has revealed his reason for including other artists on his LP is because he aspires to be like rapper Kanye West and collaborate with “a bunch of artists” throughout his career.
He said: “I really wanted to be like Kanye and work with a bunch of artists.”
But Jaden is keen to get even more of his “favourite artists” to work on a few songs with him, as he plans to release an exclusive version of ‘SYRE’ in Japan to help propel his “K-pop career”.
He explained: “I’m exploring all genres [of music]. I’m going to get some of my favourite artists on some songs with me, so that’s going to be the start of my K-pop career.”
And one artist in particular Jaden is particularly keen to join forces with is 29-year-old South Korean star G-Dragon – whose full name is Kwon Ji-yong – because the ‘Watch Me’ hitmaker thinks he is “the icon living” and “the one.”
Jaden explained: “[He’s] who I really need to buckle down and do this with. He is a style icon. He is the icon living. He is the one.”
But Jaden is conscious of falling into the same trap as some artists, who he believes talk and are “misogynistic” in the “same way” as other rappers.
He said: “Everybody tries to rap the same and talk the same way and be misogynistic in the same way – it’s annoying.”

Liam Gallagher’s gassy revenge

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher crowd surfed in America so he could fart on people’s heads.
The ‘Wall of Glass’ hitmaker got his gassy revenge on audience members who booed him when he came out at the Cal Jam festival in Los Angeles last month to perform The Beatles’ classic ‘Come Together’ with Foo Fighters.
He said: “I’d had a drink and I thought we were going to sing ‘I Am the Walrus’.
“I forgot the words and jumped into the crowd. People were pinching my a**e really hard…
“The crowd surfing was pretty funny. It’s not all it’s craqcked up to be but it was good to get among the people.
“The were a couple of [Foos fans] down the front that were booing me so I thought I’d just crowd-surf and fart on their heads. Cop that, you ****.
“Then other people were cheering, so I’d fart on their heads too. Have that, ****. It was good revenge.”
The former Oasis frontman has never enjoyed huge success in America – but that doesn’t stop him wanting to play gigs out there because he relishes the hostile reception he receives.
Discussing his 2018 plans, he told Q magazine: “I’m looking forward to playing live. We’re going to America to give them another opportunity to ‘tut’.
“There’s nothing better than going to America and watching people ‘tut’ you.”
Liam is known for his outspoken views and he admitted it can make social situations awkward when he doesn’t remember if he’s said something negative about people who are also there.
Speaking at the Q awards last month, he said: “It’s nice seeing people and dodging people, that’s the most important thing. I’m not dodging anyone, but sometimes it’s like, ‘S**t, didn’t I slag him off last week? Probably.’ ”

“I’ve always loved snow and the winter time, and for me, it is such a creative time.
“It’s a time to reflect, so much so I spent about six months researching the music of the winter season, from every available source: classical music, folk music, sacred music, secular music, pre-Christian ideas even.
“And in the end I wrote about all these wonderful Christmassy things in the album ‘If On A Winter’s Night…’
“Oh yes, for me Christmas really is the season of the imagination.”

The ‘Kiss from a Rose’ hitmaker will harmonise on a rendition of the Christmas classic ‘Santa Claus Is Coming To Town’, which will be released on December 12, the same week of the music icon’s birthday, with the blessing of the ‘My Way’ hitmaker’s family – daughters Tina, 66, and 77-year-old Nancy – and Frank Sinatra Enterprises.

Seal, a longtime fan of Sinatra and the Rat Pack era, had legendary pianist Randy Waldman, Chuck Berghofer (bass player with Ella Fitzgerald and Ray Charles) and Greg Fields (drummer with Quincy Jones and Stevie Wonder) featured on the compilation.
The tracks were recorded in the famous Capitol Records (the very studio where Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat ‘King’ Cole and many others have recorded), and United Studios, which was established by Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra.

Ed Sheeran to release remix of Perfect with guest artist

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran is to release a ‘Despacito’ style remix of his song ‘Perfect’ with a “f***king big” collaborator.
The smash single from the 26-year-old singer/songwriter’s latest LP ‘Divide’ has spent three weeks sitting comfortably at number six in the Official UK Chart, but it could be about to shift even higher with the updated Latin version due for release on December 1.
The ‘Castle on the Hill’ hitmaker has teased that he’ll unveil the top secret featured artist next Thursday (30.11.17).
In an interview with Channel 4 Radio in the United Arab Emirates, Ed revealed: “I’ve got something dropping next Friday. It’s a really f***ing big deal. And I’ll drop who I’m doing it with next Thursday.”
Asked what it will sound like, he said: “The vibe is that it’s a remix to ‘Perfect’. I’m just basically going to ‘Despacito’ Perfect.”
The remix news comes after the ‘Shape of You’ hitmaker played his final concert of the year at Dubai’s Autism Rocks Arena last night (23.11.17).
Before hitting the stage, the 26-year-old megastar enjoyed the tasty meal at Rihanna’s favourite joint Miss Lily’s, which is located at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in the city.
According to The National, the ‘Shape of You’ singer – who claimed he and his support act on the US leg, James Blunt, devoured 1,000 chicken wings between them on the road – ordered jerk corn, hot pepper shrimp and jerk chicken.
During his two-hour performance at the arena, Ed told the crowd he “didn’t expect to be on stage” after his cycling accident last month which saw him break both his arms.
However, the ‘Castle on the Hill’ hitmaker said the accident hasn’t put him off wanting to ride again because there was nothing about the painful incident that could have been prevented.
Asked if he has a phobia of bicycles now, he said recently: “No, I think that’s the wrong way to live. I’m going to ride bicycles again, I’m going to ski, I’m going to go on skateboards.
” If I’m going to break my arm then I’m going to break my arm, nothing’s going to stop me from having accidents.”

Ed Sheeran chowed down on jerk before final show of the year

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran filled up on Caribbean jerk dishes before his final concert of the year at Dubai’s Autism Rocks Arena on Thursday (23.11.17).
The 26-year-old megastar enjoyed the tasty meal at Rihanna’s favourite joint Miss Lily’s, which is located at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in the city.
According to The National, the ‘Shape of You’ singer – who claimed he and his support act on the US leg, James Blunt, devoured 1,000 chicken wings between them on the road – ordered jerk corn, hot pepper shrimp and jerk chicken.

” If I’m going to break my arm then I’m going to break my arm, nothing’s going to stop me from having accidents.”

Fergie wants to record new album with Black Eyed Peas

OHMYGOSSIP — Fergie “would love” to record a new album with the Black Eyed Peas.
It was rumoured that the 42-year-old singer had turned her back on the ‘Where Is The Love?’ hitmakers – also comprised of Will.i.am, apl.de.ap and Taboo – for good in June, but she’s adamant that’s not the case and they’ve never “officially” split.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s ‘Bizarre Life’ podcast, she said: ” I’ve never left The Black Eyed Peas. We’ve never broken up officially, I guess we’re just on a break. We’re family. They’re like my work family. That’s for ever.
“Honestly, I would have loved to be able to do my album in one tenth of the time, do a Black Eyed Peas album in that same time, tour both, have another child. There’s just not enough hours in the day.”
And, although she has a little gap in her schedule following the release of her second studio album ‘Double Dutchess’ in September, the blonde beauty has set herself the hard task of creating a music video for every single on her compilation.
The ‘Glamorous’ hitmaker said previously: “It’s a labour of love. I’ve always been a visual [person, so I was like ‘F**l it, let’s do a video for every song.'”
Fergie was recording her album in the middle of splitting with her husband Josh Duhamel, with whom she has four-year-old son Axl, but, despite the heartache she was feeling at the time, she found the whole process quite “therapeutic.”
She explained” “It’s therapeutic and I really want to feel something. Not just a little bit, I like to go big – go big or go home when it comes to emotion. Basically that goes into everything I do.”

James Hetfield ‘wasn’t 100 per cent’ into Metallica’s Load and Reload

OHMYGOSSIP — James Hetfield wasn’t “100 per cent on with” Metallica’s music from 1996 to 1997.
The heavy metal group’s frontman – who co-founded the band with drummer Lars Ulrich in 1981 – has admitted he wasn’t completely convinced by two of their albums, 1996’s ‘Load’ and 1997’s ‘Reload’, but went along with them as a “compromise” to the other members.
He said: “There always has to be some kind of compromise – especially when you’ve got four guys in a band. “You’ve got two guys that are really driving the thing – Lars and myself – and when we don’t agree, there has to be a compromise.
“But as far as doing something that doesn’t feel right, I’m sure there’s been a few times that it’s happened – the ‘Load’ and ‘Reload’ era, for me, was one of those; the way that was looking, I wasn’t 100 percent on with it, but I would say that that was a compromise.
“I said, ‘I’m going with Lars’s and Kirk’s vision on this. You guys are extremely passionate about this, so I’ll jump on board, because if the four of us are into it, it’s going to be better.’ ”
On reflection, the 54-year-old singer doesn’t think the two records were “as good” as he “was hoping” they would be, but doesn’t regret being a part of them.
He said: “So I did my best with it, and it didn’t pan out as good as I was hoping, but, again, there’s no regrets, because at the time it felt like the right thing to do.
“So, even thinking that I need to compromise a little bit for the integrity of the band to go forward, I’d do that.”
Despite selling more than 120 albums worldwide since they formed, the ‘Master of Puppets’ hitmaker insists the group – also made up of Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo – still have something “to prove”.
Speaking to Clash magazine, James added: “We’re still wanting to prove something to ourselves, I guess. I don’t know what it is, but the next one’s going to be better. As a lyricist and a guitar player, I’m looking for the ultimate riff, the ultimate guitar sound, the ultimate lyric, the perfect rhyme – all of that stuff still, and it’s still a quest.”

Camila Cabello inspired by Bruno Mars’ showmanship

OHMYGOSSIP — Camila Cabello has been inspired by Bruno Mars to “step up her game”.
The former Fifth Harmony singer – who is gearing up to release her debut solo album – got to support the ‘Uptown Funk’ hitmaker on his recent tour ’24K Magic World Tour’ and one of the things that she took on board from watching him perform each night, was how important it is to be “realistic” with yourself in order to get to “the next level”.
Speaking to the latest issue of tmrw magazine – for which Camila was photographed by Andreas Yiasoumi on the cover – Camilla explained: “One of the things I learnt from the Bruno tour is just you know, being realistic with yourself and being like man I need to step up my game, or I need to work a lot harder to get on that level.
“Sometimes it’s real, you have to check yourself. Bruno is obviously, you know leagues ahead of where I am, but I’m saying even short term.
“Let’s say you’re in school or at an awards show or something and you’re like wow this person is killing it.
“It might hurt but you have to be realistic with yourself and be like yeah, they freaking killed it.
“But you know what? Next time I’m gonna step up my game. It’s about being constructive with yourself, but I think that’s normal, its human.”
The ‘Havana’ hitmaker – who quit the ‘Work from Home’ group in December 2016 – says her debut solo record is very “romantic” and influenced by her parents’ favourite Spanish music and singer/songwriters such as Ed Sheeran and John Mayer.
She said: “I think that I’ve just kind of learned to trust my instincts more. There have been songs that are more me than others, and I’ve just learned to go with my gut more. I think that because I’ve spent the whole week with my family [in London] and we were listening to Spanish music that I listened to growing up, it’s very, very romantic, more along the lines of Ed Sheeran and John Mayer.
“It’s like poetry. I think that who I really, really am inside is still the 16 year old that was listening to romantic songs and singer songwriter songs, and lyrically I feel like I’m just kind of going back to that.
“I think it’s inevitable that I draw from it because it’s such a big part of who I am, it’s such a big part of my lifestyle.
“The music that I listen to with my family is like all Latin music. I always wanna find different ways of combining different parts of me.”

Noel Gallagher was ‘nervous’ about Manchester Area gig

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher was the most “nervous” he’s ever been before a gig at the reopening of Manchester Arena.
The 50-year-old musician was among performers at the ‘We Are Manchester’ concert in September, which marked the first time the venue had been used since it was struck by a terrorist attack after an Ariana Grande concert in May.
And the former Oasis guitarist admits he found himself “all tied up in the emotion” before facing the crowd.
He said: “One show I’ve been nervous for, [though,] it was just recently in Manchester. I was all tied up in the emotion of the night and all that. For standalone gigs and tours, even going on stage in front of all those people, it’s like, ‘They’re all here to see me and here I am, so bring it on.'”
Noel did an emotional rendition of Oasis’ 1996 hit ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ at the gig, which became an anthem for the city in the wake of the horrific terrorist bombing.
The ‘Some Might Say’ songwriter will release his third solo LP ‘Who Built The Moon?’ on Friday (24.11.17), and he “can’t wait” to head out on the road to show off his new tracks, which he says are bound to transform performed live.
He told the latest issue of Flood magazine: “I feel great. I feel like I’ve always felt – on a professional level, I feel like I always feel at the start of a cycle: I can’t wait to get started, I can’t wait to play the songs, and for the songs then to start morphing into live versions.
“When you put out records, there’s the record, [and] then they change. As the tour goes on you start playing them differently, singing them differently.
“Sometimes you have to check yourself halfway through a tour and go back and listen to the record and go, ‘Oh, we’ve lost something there.’ And sometimes they get better.”
