OHMYGOSSIP — Billie Eilish has been promoted to a bigger stage at Glastonbury because she is so popular.
The 17-year-old pop phenomenon – who only released her debut album ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’ last month – will no longer be performing on the John Peel Stage as planned, as the Worthy Farm festival’s co-ograniser Emily Eavis has revealed she is “much too big” and they are currently trying to work out a slot on The Other Stage.
Emily – who curates the line-up with her father Michael Eavis – told Jo Whiley on BBC Radio 2: “We’re currently moving her – she’s on John Peel at the moment but she’s much too big, really, for the slot.
“It’s happened so quickly for Billie Eilish. It’s been such an amazing year. It really is going to be her summer.
“We are trying to give her a bigger stage where we can get a larger audience in there.
“So we are going to move her on to The Other Stage and we are just working out exactly where that’s going to be.”
The ‘Bury Your Friend’ hitmaker – who recently became the youngest female artist to score a number one album with her debut studio effort – might have become a huge star overnight, but she recently admitted she “can’t” stay famous forever.
The ‘My Strange Addiction’ singer wants her career to be successful but admitted she’s looking for a “weird balance” because she also dreams of having a quiet “life” away from public scrutiny.
Speaking about chats she’s had with her brother and collaborator, Finneas O’Connell, she said: “We can’t have this be the rest of our lives. We were talking about it the other day, we’re just like, ‘I’m 17, dude.’ I can’t have my life exactly like this forever, and he can’t either. He’s just become an adult. He just got a house. He has a girlfriend and wants a dog. You know what I’m saying?
“It’s a weird balance, because I want to grow in my life, and grow up and have a life. But I already have my career.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bebe Rexha turns to Alicia Keys when she needs advice.
The 29-year-old star “admires” the fact the ‘Empire State of Mind’ hitmaker is always willing to help and quick to respond because she knows it would be so easy for her to give her the brush off.
She said: “I reached out to Alicia Keys for advice on the music business. Any time I need help, she’s willing to give it to me, and that’s really hard to come by. She always responds right away and is really respectful.
“I admire that – a lot of successful females could easily be like, ‘Oh, no, you’re an up-and-coming artist, why should I help?’ She’s really kind.”
When it comes to her own career, the ‘I’m A Mess’ hitmaker would love to emulate the success of Pink because she admires the way the ‘Just Like a Pill’ singer – who has two children with husband Carey Hart – has found “balance” in her life.
She said: “Pink had success, then had her family and managed to balance that. It’s something I really look up to because my career is everything, but so is balance. I want to enjoy my life.”
Before finding success as a solo artist in her own right, Bebe wrote songs for the likes of Rihanna, Eminem, Selena Gomez and Iggy Azalea but admitted she hasn’t always been happy with how other artists have interpreted her tracks.
Asked if anyone has performed her songs in a way she didn’t like, she told Britain’s Marie Claire magazine: “Yeah, a lot! Sometimes I’ve had to pull them back. They have to make it their own – that’s what makes an artist an artist – but if I don’t think it sounds great on the person’s voice, that’s different.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Linkin Park have “started talking about making new music together”.
The rock group – which features Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Dave Farrell, Joe Hahn, and Rob Bourdon – went on a hiatus after the death of former band member Chester Bennington in 2017, but Joe has confirmed they’ve recently considered the possibility of returning to the recording studio.
He told South Korean newspaper Yonhap: “The members are taking care of themselves and their families and are going through the problems in their own way
“And … Now the band has started talking about making new music together.”
However, Joe admitted that the timetable for their reunion remains undecided.
Asked when they plan to reunite, he confessed: “Maybe in about 10 years? It might be sooner.
“I don’t want to set a deadline. We just want to focus on the present and talk about music. We aren’t discussing detailed plans. I just want to go back to those days when I made music in the warehouse.”
Previously, Mike Shinoda admitted the band could return to the music scene with a new singer in place of Bennington, who committed suicide in July 2017.
He shared: “I think it has to happen naturally. And if we find somebody that’s a great person that we think is a good personality fit and a good stylistic fit, then I could see trying to do some stuff with somebody.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Dido isn’t “ambitious”.
The ‘Thank You’ singer – who has seven-year-old son Stanley with husband Rohan Gavin – has no “dreams” for herself beyond her upcoming tour in support of album ‘Still On My Mind’ and she never worries about planning for the future.
She said: “I have a bit of a mental block about thinking ahead or making plans.
“I’ve always been so in the moment. You can’t predict what’s going to happen.
“I don’t have any expectations and in a way I don’t have dreams for myself.
“I’m not very ambitious. At the beginning, my ambition was just to have a cassette or CD with my songs on it.
“I think my ambition now, if I’ve got any, is to somehow incorporate doing this into the life that I know makes me really happy.
“To somehow have a world where it is not all or nothing, and you can just put records out a bit more regularly and it’s an easy thing.”
The 47-year-old singer’s new album feels like Dido’s debut because it is so different to anything she’s done before.
She explained to Red magazine: “It almost feels like my first record. I’m proud of it, it’s a real celebration to what’s gone before.
“What I write about are little moments of conflict. There is always light and dark. But when you have a kid, there is no conflict. You just love them and want to hang out with them. I think that got in the way of writing for a while.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Elle Fanning dreams of becoming a pop star.
The 21-year-old actress plays a wannabe pop star in ‘Teen Spirit’, and Elle has admitted that she’s also thought about making the transition into the music industry.
She explained to Consequence of Sound: “It’s definitely crossed my mind. That’s not out of the question and I feel like I did get a taste of maybe what pop stars go through with the performance element because also there would be days where I would have to just sing like the song 30 times.
“That element of it I was like, ‘Whew’. That’s an element people don’t think of when they think of pop stars.
“The strength of having to go on tour … that would be a lot but I don’t know, maybe an album or something of songs would be cool. Country songs to surprise everybody!”
Elle also revealed she’s been a huge music fan since her youth.
The actress recalled: “My first concert I ever went to was Gwen Stefani when I was nine, and it was in Budapest. It was just insane.
“I was a little nine year old in glasses. I had curled my hair, I wore this like crazy red dress. I remember exactly what I wore. I was so excited to go. I danced probably harder than I’ve ever danced.
“Like, my little body, I was so sweaty. I remember I was just like throwing myself. It was crazy. I was like with my grandmother and she was just sitting down and letting me dance. It was just so funny.
“Even now, that was such a visceral experience for being so young, you’re like … you can’t believe what’s happening in front of you. I do remember that.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kanye West debuted brand new song ‘Water’ at Coachella on Sunday (21.04.19).
The 41-year-old rapper gave the festival crowd a taste of what it’s like to attend one of his famous Sunday church services at his star-studded set on The Mountain hilltop at the festival in California, which saw the ‘Gold Digger’ hitmaker backed by his own gospel choir.
Kanye opened with a series of covers and kicked off proceedings with his version of Stevie Wonder’s ‘Do I Do’ into Kool & The Gang’s ‘Summer Madness’ and The Gap Band’s ‘Outstanding’.
After powering through 25 songs, a mix of covers and renditions of his own hits, Kim Kardashian West’s husband surprised fans with the live debut of his new track.
He simply told the crowd: “It’s called ‘Water’.”
The set also saw his regular collaborator and fellow Chicago native, Chance the Rapper, come out to rap his verse on ‘Ultralight Beam’, plus special guests included Kid Cudi, 2 Chainz,Teyana Taylor and DMX.
Kim was joined by family members, including her sisters Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner, who all came out to support Kanye and took to centre stage at one point.
And just like the usual service, their daughter North West, five, showed off her adorable dance moves.
Kanye – who also has Saint, three, Chicago, 14 months, and a fourth child on the way via surrogate with the 38-year-old reality star- had announced the festival appearance on a video posted to Kim’s Twitter account earlier this month.
He said: “We’d like to make an announcement that we just booked another show. We will be doing Sunday Service, sunrise at Coachella.
“Only one date that mountain would be available to us: Easter Sunday at Coachella. That confirmation was confirmed last night.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gary Barlow is ready to “slow down” in his career for the sake of his wife’s ambitions.
The Take That frontman – who has Daniel, 18, Emily, 16, and 10-year-old Daisy with spouse Dawn – is grateful for the sacrifices the dancer made to raise their children while he was out at work and now he wants to give her the time and space to get outside of the family.
He said: “We’ve had a really traditional marriage where Dawn has been the stay-at-home mum.
“I’d leave the house early in the morning to go to a really fun photoshoot, while she’d be there with Coco Pops all over the floor, picking up the pieces at home.
“The way she’s taken on that role has been amazing, but she’s also given up a lot and now that the kids are getting older, it’s my time to slow down a bit and make room for her to be able to do more.”
The ‘Patience’ hitmaker admitted he is “romantic” and particularly enjoys giving his wife flowers.
He said: “I’m the romantic leader in our house. I love buying Dawn flowers – they’re great because you don’t only get the romance of giving them and having a kiss but you also get to enjoy them for a week around the house.
“We also send each other lovely texts all day long – I love that.”
The 48-year-old star believes the key to his successful marriage is regular communication.
He told Red magazine: “When you work, you design a life that keeps you apart.
“So if you don’t share what you’ve been doing with the other person and they don’t know what’s gone on with you, you become detached, like two separate entities.
“Dawn and I go out to dinner religiously every week and use it specifically as a way to go, ‘What’s happening?’ We call it downloading the week.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher will perform new songs at Glastonbury.
The former Oasis frontman – who made his solo debut on The Other Stage in 2017 – responded to a fan on Twitter who asked if they will hear any new tracks from the ‘Wall of Glass’ hitmaker’s second album when he plays the Pyramid Stage at the Worthy Farm festival in June.
The user asked: “Will it be new stuff for Glastonbury? Or just the hits?”
And Liam, 46, replied: “New stuff.”
He also teased that there will be a “s*** load” of new material performed at his forthcoming shows, which also include the Eden Sessions at Cornwall’s Eden Project on June 26 and various European dates.
When another follower asked: “Any new songs for the tour?, he responded: “S*** loads.”
One fan even tried to get Liam to reveal his album’s title, but he insisted: “Can’t tell ya it’s a big surprise. (sic)”
The ‘Songbird’ songwriter also recently revealed that he is supporting The Who on their US tour in October when he was asked if he’s planning to play shows across the pond.
He said: “Opening up for the WHO in October we’re gonna be talking about there generation and ours all at the same time. (sic)”
Liam previously revealed he was planning to have his new album – the follow-up to 2017’s platinum-selling ‘As You Were’ – finished by April 2.
He said: “We finish recording on the 2nd of April now go spread the butter.”
Liam also previously claimed it would be out before September this year.
He tweeted: “F**k those old farts… they know f**k all about my moves it’ll be bfore September trust me (sic)”
Meanwhile, the ‘Bold’ singer recently revealed his 17-year-old son Gene is set to appear on his dad’s new album as a bongo player.
Sharing a black and white studio snap of Gene playing percussion, Liam tweeted: “Gene laying down some bongos on my new tune as you were LG x (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — The 1975 don’t “regret” agreeing to make two albums within a few months of each other.
The ‘Chocolate’ hitmakers – fronted by Matt Healy – released ‘A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships’ in November 2018 and are planning another release titled ‘Notes on a Conditional Form’ sometime this year but they have no qualms about putting out so much music within such a short space of time as they want to “affect culture” as a band.
Speaking on The Late Late Show with James Corden of their decision to release two albums within a short period, Matt said: “No, of course I am not [regretting it]! We’re in that age now where you’ll watch the best thing you’ve ever seen on Netflix, and the you’ll be like, ‘That was the best thing I’ve ever seen.’ And then you just want the next thing immediately.
“And I’m like that with music as well. It feels like, I want to tour for the next two years. And what do you want to do with a band? You want to affect culture … I don’t think you can do that with one record now. You can if you do like, singles. Your Drakes of the world, who are these amazing artist, but they’re very single oriented. That’s about keeping peoples attention for three minutes. That’s not where our forte is, but we want to be as expressive as possible. We make albums, so just gotta make another album.”
Meanwhile, Matt had previously revealed he and his bandmates are planning to host their own festival in 2020.
He wrote on Twitter: “If The 1975 & Co. put on their own festival next year, over 3 nights in the UK, who’s coming? (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Loyle Carner became a musician to provide for his family.
The 24-year-old rapper – whose real name is Ben Coyle-Larner – dropped out of university when his stepfather died in February 2014 because he felt it was best to focus on trying to “make money” and though he admitted he was “drinking a lot”, the ‘Loose Ends’ singer never behaved too badly because of his responsibilities to his mother and younger half-brother.
He said: “I was the oldest guy in my family left who wasn’t useless so I kind of had no choice. I was like, ‘I need to make money somehow. If it falls apart, I’ll think of a Plan B.’
“I wasn’t thinking, ‘Yeah, I’ll be a famous rapper.’
“Don’t get me wrong, I was drinking quite a lot and going out more than I should have but there was always this thing in me that knew I couldn’t push it too far.
“If, say, I got arrested or was mucking around and fell off a balcony, my family are f***ed. Ever since then it’s been an inspiration for me.
“The times when you’re touring and there’s no one in the crowd, if I didn’t have that I would have been thinking, ‘What am I doing here? This is stupid.’
“But every time I didn’t want to do something, I’d think of my mum and brother and go, ‘I have to be here.’ ”
And Loyle admitted he feels the pressure of his financial responsibilities.
He told Q magazine: “I’ve had some moderate success and people started looking at me like I was that guy but really I’ve got two mortgages to pay – my mum’s, my own, my little brother is going to uni, I’ve got to pay for that, I’ve got to help raise him and be a big man for him, I have to keep my girlfriend safe.
“Just because you make a bit of P, it’s all relative. As your pleasure grows, your stress grows.
“Like Biggie Smalls said, ‘Mo money mo problems.’ ”

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams reportedly wants to make another swing album.
The ‘Let Me Entertain You’ hitmaker has been inspired by his ongoing Las Vegas residency after performing covers by the likes of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. and he is eyeing up another collection of jazz tracks with plans to release a single early next year.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Robbie is a huge fan of swing and believes his performing style of singing and joking with the audience has a direct link with greats like Sinatra and Martin.
“Getting on stage in Vegas, where those guys were kings, to sing those tracks again has given him the impetus to make another swing record. He’s starting to list the songs he wants.”
Robbie – who has previously released ‘Swing When You’re Winning’ (2001) and ‘Swings Both Ways’ (2013) in the genre – will continue his run at Wynn Las Vegas in June and July.
Kicking off the run last month, he told the crowd: “I can’t remember the last time a gig meant this much to me. There’s a magic here, right?”
He also joked of his plans to break America with his residency, as he wants ‘Friends’ actress Jennifer Aniston to know who he is.
He added: “I want to be famous in America. I want Jennifer Aniston to know who I am.”
The crooner announced his residency back in November, when he described it as a “dream come true”.
He said at the time: “I’m beyond excited to announce my first ever residency in Las Vegas. To follow in the footsteps of some of the greatest entertainers of all time is a dream come true – I can’t wait.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gary Barlow insists Take That wouldn’t “survive” as a duo.
The group started out as a five-piece, but following the departures of Robbie Williams and Jason Orange, they now record and tour as a trio.
Though Gary thinks he, Mark Owen and Howard Donald are closer than ever now, he doesn’t believe they could carry on if another of the group left out.
He said: “We wouldn’t survive if there was only two of us, no way.
“When Jason told us he wanted to leave in 2014, we all sat together and said, ‘Do we carry on? Is it worth it?’
“That actually brought us closer together because we realised, ‘God, we’ve got to look after this.’
“I think that’s why it still works – because we all want it to.”
And Gary admitted decision making is much easier these days because there are fewer “egos” involved.
He said: “Everything we create is very inclusive and it never feels like someone is trying to get control over something any more.
“That stuff all happened in the nineties and some of it was really quite fraught.
“I mean, think back to the whole thing with Robbie leaving. There were too many egos involved and I think we all learnt a real hard lesson from that.”
The ‘Patience’ hitmaker – who has Daniel, 18, Emily, 16, and 10-year-old Daisy with spouse Dawn – also thinks getting older has helped because he and his bandmates have different outside issues to deal with away from the group.
He told Red magazine: “You gain perspective. I found the 90s difficult because I didn’t have a wife or a family, so there was nothing to keep me on the ground.
“With the perspective of a life going on alongside your career, there are more important things to worry about than getting your idea in for the video.
“All three of us are dealing with ‘real-life’ issues now – one of the kids is struggling at school or isn’t sleeping properly – and that comes first.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Carly Rae Jepsen thinks her latest track ‘Julien’ is the “heart” of her new album.
The 33-year-old singer is set to release ‘Dedicated’ – her fourth studio record – next month, and she has revealed her brand new single helped her figured out what “direction” the entire LP would take.
Unveiling the song this week, she tweeted: “‘Julien’ is the song that taught me the heart and direction of this album. Couldn’t keep him for myself any longer.”
The deep track sees Carly singing about being obsessed with a lover as “the last breath that I breathe”.
She sings: “I tried another, to keep me satisfied. But all you colours are still dancing in my mind.”
‘Julien’ is the third single to be released from the upcoming album – which is set to drop on May 17 – following ‘Now That I Found You’ and ‘No Drug Like Me’.
Carly confirmed her fourth LP – her first since 2015’s ‘Emotion’ – earlier this month, and the ‘I Really Like You’ hitmaker previously revealed she has gone down a different route for the new collection.
She said: “I normally write in a bunch of different directions at once. Now, the thing that I noticed, generally with a lot of artists, is that we try to put out the most obvious choices.
“I am trying really hard not to do [that] and instead offer something fresh and different from what I did before. It is all about showing some kind of growth with each project.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Boy George’s protege Jamie Hannah has unveiled his new track ‘Sound of My Youth’.
The classically trained musician spent 2018 in the studio honing his talents alongside award-winning producer Benny D who has worked with some of the world’s biggest stars (including Stormzy, Lily Allen, and The Killers).
It was here that he was introduced to Boy George, and the Culture Club icon previously insisted that he had “never heard a voice like his”.
The pair soon decided to collaborate together in the studio, and the resulting track ‘House of Sun’ is set to be released on the ‘Karma Chameleon’ hitmaker’s label this summer.
Previously asked about the upcoming release and their work together, Boy George promised: “It’s going to be a big summer smash.
Jamie has also attracted the attention of Academy Award Winner Dame Emma Thompson, who praised his “potential” and described the track as “spectacular and wonderful”.
She said: “The potential in this young artist is breath-taking… This song is sensational, spectacular and wonderful.”
Currently on tour with Heather Small, and with new music already in production, 2018 is shaping up to be an exciting year for this young musician and performer.
In an interview with Paper magazine, he told Boy George: “So busy at the moment, I barely have time to sleep! We’ve been in the studio putting finishing touches to a few tracks for an EP.
“I’m currently on tour with Heather Small of M People around the UK. I have a few other tours in the pipeline to hit the US and UK later in the year. Maybe a few other secrets too…”

OHMYGOSSIP — The Hollywood Vampires have announced a new album mostly comprised of original music.
Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp and Aerosmith’s Joe Perry’s legendary supergroup will release ‘Rise’ – the follow-up to their 2015 self-titled debut LP – on June 21.
As well as the brand new material, Depp has recorded his own take on late music legend David Bowie’s 1997 classic ‘Heroes’, whilst there is also a tribute to Jim Carroll Band’s ‘People Who Died’ and Perry has put his own spin on Johnny Thunder’s ‘You Can’t Put Your Arms Around A Memory’.
The trio worked on the record with Cooper’s long-time touring band member Tommy Henriksen, and the ‘Poison’ hitmaker says the songs represent what The Vampires’ sound “really is”.
He said: “‘Rise’ is not only a totally different animal than the first Vampires album, it is unique to anything I’ve ever been a part of.
“I approached it very differently than I usually do when working on an album.
“Each of us; Joe, Johnny, Tommy and myself have written songs on this album.
“What is different though is that I didn’t try to change any songs to be more “Alice-like”.
“Because each of us has different influences, the sound of this album is very cool.
“I think that with this album, we are establishing what the Vampires’ sound really is, whereas with the first album we were more tipping our hats to our fallen rock n roll brothers.”
Perry – the lead guitarist in Aerosmith – added that ‘Rise’ is “one of the most freest and honest” albums he’s ever worked on.
He said: “‘Rise’ came from pure creative energy, which is just like playing live with the Vampires.
“The record showcases everyone doing what they do best without anyone looking over our shoulders.
“There was no pressure or deadlines, allowing us to write and record an album that is one of the freest and most honest sounding records I’ve been part of. I can’t wait to perform some of these tunes live for our fans.”
The name of the band derives from the star-studded drinking club in the 70s on Hollywood’s Sunset Strip at the iconic Rainbow Bar & Grill’s upstairs bar, which over the years featured the likes of the late Beatles frontman John Lennon and The Who’s Keith Moon.
The band’s first record featured guest appearances from Sir Paul McCartney and Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl.
Speaking about what rock star credentials are required to be a member, Cooper – who founded the group to honour the rock legends of the past – said previously: “To join the club, one simply had to out drink all of the members.
“I would walk in on a typical night and John Lennon, Harry Nilsson, Keith Moon – who would usually be in a costume like a maid or a chauffeur – Bernie Taupin, Jim Morrison and Mickey Dolenz would be there.
“The next week might be Bernie Taupin, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison and Mickey Dolenz.”
The first single from the new album, ‘Who’s Laughing Now’, is out now.

The former Smiths bassist has joined forces with the Los Angeles-based frontman – who helped reunite Manchester band Happy Mondays in 2004, and toured with Shaun Ryder and co for four years – for the new project, which according to a press release, sees the pair deliver “big driving tracks, guitar hooks, heavy beats, loops and live drums”, much in the vein of bands like Kasabian and Primal Scream.
Blitz Vega – who are based between Los Angeles and New York, where Andy has been living since 2009 – have released their debut single ‘Hey Christo!’ on This Feeling Records today (18.04.19).
The duo have also announced their first live shows at The Mercury Lounge, New York, on June 10, and The Roxy, Los Angeles, on June 12.
The band have been busy in the studio working on new material and are also set to work on a special live EP at the iconic Abbey Road Studios in London on April 20, which is being turned into a documentary.
Andy – who co-founded The Smiths with frontman Morrissey in Manchester in 1982 – is regarded as one of the most iconic bass players in music history.
Over the years he has toured and worked with the likes of The Stone Roses, Sinead O’ Connor, The Pretenders, Badly Drawn Boy, Killing Joke, Peter Hook and Bonehead from Oasis.
In 2016, Andy formed the band D.A.R.K. with the late Dolores O’Riordan, frontwoman of The Cranberries – who passed away unexpectedly in January 2018.
The Smiths – also comprised of guitarist Johnny Marr and drummer Mike Joyce – broke up in acrimonious circumstances in 1987 and despite being offered massive money to reunite for concerts they’ve never reunited.
Johnny previously revealed: “I think we were offered $50 million for three … possibly five shows.”
Relations between the band members were poor when Andy and Mike successfully sued Morrissey and Johnny in 1989 to get more than 10 per cent of the group’s royalties.
However, Andy put the past behind him and even reunited with Johnny on stage at two of his shows in the US in 2013, to perform the group’s songs ‘How Soon Is Now?’ and ‘Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want’
