OHMYGOSSIP — Madonna is going “back to her roots” on new album ‘Madame X’ and gives “zero you-know-whats” on the record.
The 60-year-old singer says her career has come “full circle” with her upcoming 14th studio album, which will drop on June 14th, because the title is based on the moniker she was given when she was 19, during a time when she “didn’t care” what people thought of her music.
She said: “I still don’t care. Madame X is back to her roots, OK? She doesn’t care. Zero you-know-whats.”
“I wanted to be able to go back to that time in my life when I was just starting out in New York and I didn’t care what people thought and my music really came without listening to all the noise or recommendations or suggestions, or whatever.
“That is also the time in my life, when I was 19, when I was given the name Madame X. So the whole story comes full circle.”
Madonna released ‘Medellín’, her first single from the album, last week, and she says part of the song focuses on a time when she was “naive” during her early days in the industry and was “free and pure in [her] expression”.
When asked about her ‘Medellín’ lyric, “I took a pill to be naive, to be someone I’ve never been”, she said: “What I mean by that line is naive in terms of not caring what people think.
“I feel like when I started my career, as an artist, I was naive.
“There was a good thing about being naive because you don’t think about judgement, you don’t think about what people are going to say, or think about what you’re doing, and you’re free and pure in your expression.”
Madonna has reunited with French producer Mirwais – who she recruited to help with song writing and production on three of her albums, ‘Music’, ‘American Life’ and 2005’s ‘Confessions on a Dance Floor’ – for ‘Madame X’, but “wasn’t sure” he would like the direction she wanted the record to go in.
Speaking at an MTV Q&A in London on Wednesday night (23.04.19) ahead of the music video premiere of her latest single, she added: “It was amazing. I hadn’t worked with him probably in about seven years and so I wasn’t sure whether he was going to like the direction that I wanted to go in.
“I’m very inspired by his intelligence and hopefully vice-versa.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sting has landed a Las Vegas residency.
The former Police frontman will embark on a run of 16 concerts at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace from May 2020, with the final shows scheduled to take place in September of that year, though it’s expected extra performances will be added if ticket sales are strong.
And Sting is “thrilled” to have landed the residency.
He wrote on Twitter: “I’m thrilled to announce that my brand new Las Vegas residency “Sting: My Songs” will be opening at the legendary Caesars Colosseum in May of 2020! For all dates, presale and on sale info, VIP info and ticket options, visit Sting.com!”
‘Sting: My Songs’ will feature a “compendium” of the 67-year-old star’s greatest hits, accompanied by “dynamic, visual references to some of his most iconic videos and inspirations”.
The ‘Roxanne’ hitmaker has promised to offer new takes on hits such as ‘Message in a Bottle’ and ‘Every Breath You Take’.
He said on his website: “Some of them reconstructed, some of them refitted, some of them reframed, but all of them with a contemporary focus.”
Fan club members can buy tickets in a pre-sale from Thursday (25.04.19), while Citi cardmembers’ pre-sale opens April 29 and the remaining tickets go on sale on May 3.
General ticket prices will start from $59, and a limited number of VIP meet & greet packages will also be available for each show, though it isn’t currently known how much they will cost.
Ahead of his residency, Sting will release his ‘My Songs’ collection next month, featuring his greatest hits “reshaped and reimagined”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Madonna’s comeback single ‘Medellin’ hasn’t met the “criteria” to receive airplay on BBC Radio 1.
Despite the track featuring modern Latin star Maluma, 25, bosses at the BBC have decided not to add the track to their playlist because it doesn’t match the UK’s biggest youth radio station’s audience.
A spokesperson for Radio 1 told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column that the decision is “based on what the audience expects to hear, with no other criteria taken into consideration.”
A music industry source added to the tabloid: “It’s a sad reality that for some people in the music business it wouldn’t matter what Madonna released. They’d dismiss it because she’s 60.”
Many of the 60-year-old Queen of Pop’s fans have taken to Twitter to express their frustration towards the decision, branding the move ageist.
The track does however feature on BBC Radio 2, which in recent times has broadened its audience by playing more chart music.
Meanwhile, Madonna – who releases her comeback album ‘Madame X’ on June 14 – took part in an MTV Q&A in London on Wednesday night (23.04.19) ahead of the music video premiere of her latest single, and she spoke about how music is the “soul” that brings the world together.
She said: “No matter where we are. Where we travel. No matter who we’re with or what language we speak, when we hear music, even if we don’t understand the words, we can still connect to the vibe, to the soul, to the feeling, the emotion that the artist put into that music.
“You can still relate to it.
“It doesn’t matter what language people are singing in, or the beat or genre.
“We will always, in a primal way, be connected through music.”
The ‘Vogue’ hitmaker worked with an eclectic mix of performers from different parts of the world for her first album since 2015’s ‘Rebel Heart’, which is inspired by living in Lisbon, Portugal.
She added: “I feel that my record, because Lisbon is a melting pot of culture, from Angola to Spain to Brazil to France – I had the pleasure and honour to meet musicians from all these places and be inspired by their music and let it influence me.
“And that’s how all these songs came to be. … We were connected before Instagram, people.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Idris Elba has released his Kah-Lo collaboration ‘Ballie’.
The British actor-and-DJ gave the hip-hop/house track featuring the Nigerian star – who is best known for providing the vocals to Riton’s Grammy-nominated hit ‘Rinse and Repeat’ – its live debut when he played Coachella recently and wanted to release it “immediately” afterwards via his own London based label 7Wallace.
Idris said: “Bong Ballie is slang for Everything Everything is Good.
“Kah-Lo and I wanted to fuse hip hop and house and she was so easy to work with.
“I played this tune out for the first time at Coachella and it went off… I knew I had to put it out immediately.”
Kah-Lo said it was “a pleasure” getting to work with the 46-year-old superstar and it was a “big thrill” performing the track with him during his first ever set at the California festival.
She added: “It was such a pleasure working with Idris on this, it’s a fun track that exudes all the confidence and that’s the mood right now.
“It was a big thrill performing at Coachella with him, the crowd responded so well to it.”
‘Ballie’ comes hot off the heels of Idris dropping the popular track ‘Boasty’ with Wiley, Stefflon Don and Sean Paul.
The song was co-produced by British producer Toddla T and Rotterdam’s Mucky, and sees the Golden Globe winner spit bars on the Caribbean-tinged track.
Meanwhile, Idris – who has released three EPS; ‘High Class Problems Vol. 1’, ‘Big Man’ and ‘King Among Kings’ – fulfilled a dream of his by performing at Coachella.
The ‘Turn Up Charlie’ star was supported by his fiancé Sabrina Dhowre and his daughter Isan, 17, as he took to the stage on April 13.
He remixed a number of popular songs in his set including Deborah Cox’s ‘Just Be Good To Me’ and ‘This Is America’ by Childish Gambino, who had headlined the Friday night of the festival.

OHMYGOSSIP — Diplo has released his first country collaboration ‘So Long’ from his forthcoming project ‘Thomas Wesley’.
The 40-year-old EDM superstar has teamed up with country pop crossover singer Cam on the first single to be taken from an upcoming collection of songs, which the ‘Electricity’ hitmaker is releasing under his birth name.
Sharing a clip of ‘So Long’ on Instagram, Diplo – whose full name is Thomas Wesley Pentz, Jr. – wrote: “so long featuring @camcountry is out now.. this is the first song from a new project called: Thomas Wesley (sic)”
A press release states that the Major Lazer star has “several forthcoming collaborations with country artists” on the way.
So far, 2019 has seen the ‘Genius’ producer release the EP ‘Europa’, which features the likes of Octavian and IAMDDB, as well as the self-titled debut studio album from his supergroup LSD, featuring Sia and Labrinth.
Meanwhile, it was recently reported that the Spice Girls gave Diplo their blessing to rework one of their biggest hits for a new single.
The Grammy-winning DJ – who last year teased a new recording of ‘Wannabe’ with Charli XCX – is to aid the girl group’s comeback by sampling one of their top tunes on a new track this summer.
A source said: “Diplo is a big Spice Girls fan and wants to introduce their music to a new generation.
“There is so much renewed interest in the girls ahead of the tour and he has reworked one of their best-known songs for a 2019-style tune.”
The girl band – now made up of Geri Horner, Emma Bunton, Mel B and Mel C, after Victoria Beckham decided against joining their reunion – are said to be “excited” about the collaboration.
The source added: “The girls gave their approval after hearing it and are all excited about its release.”
Emma recently hinted the ‘Viva Forever’ hitmakers could start writing new material while they are on their reunion tour, which begins on May 24.
She said: “We haven’t started writing or ­anything like that and it would have to be organic.
“So we’ll have to see. After the tour maybe, or ­during the tour I think, especially with us girls. We’re always like, ‘What’s next?’ So it could happen. Who knows?”

OHMYGOSSIP — Beyonce’s cover of Maze’s ‘Before I Let Go’ is one of the “high points” of original singer Frankie Beverly’s life.
The ‘Formation’ hitmaker recorded her rendition of the American R&B group’s 1981 classic for the end credits of her Netflix documentary ‘Homecoming’ and the live album of the same name.
Frankie – who formed the group in the 70s – was “blown away” by the 37-year-old superstar’s version and called it a “blessing”.
He gushed: “This is one of the high points of my life.”
The 72-year-old musician also revealed that he only got told about the song “a week or two” before it was released.
He added to Billboard: “She kept it quiet, until her people called me one day maybe a week or two ago.
“When they played it, that’s when I heard the first draft of it, and I was blown away. It’s a blessing.”
The film documents the singer’s journey to becoming the first black female solo artist to headline Coachella, and also features the ‘Crazy in Love’ hitmaker’s show-stopping three-song reunion with her Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, comprised of ‘Lose My Breath’, ‘Say My Name’ and ‘Soldier’, recorded live at the world famous festival.
Speaking about the film, Beyonce said: “‘Homecoming’ presents an intimate look at Beyoncé’s historic 2018 Coachella performance that paid homage to America’s historically black colleges and universities. ‘Interspersed with candid footage and interviews detailing the preparation and powerful intent behind her vision, Homecoming traces the emotional road from creative concept to cultural movement.”
The ‘Telephone’ hitmaker also included the song ‘Lift Every Voice and Sing’, widely known as the black national anthem, in her set, which features her seven-year-old daughter Blue Ivy – whom she has with rapper husband Jay-Z .
The ‘Halo’ singer had previously sung the song to the power couple’s 20-month-old daughter Rumi Carter – who is a twin to Sir Carter.
Speaking about the inclusion of the anthem, she said: “One day I was randomly singing the black national anthem to Rumi while putting her to sleep. I started humming it to her every day.
“In the show at the time I was working on a version of the anthem with these dark minor chords and stomps and belts and screams. After a few days of humming the anthem, I realised I had the melody wrong. I was singing the wrong anthem.
“One of the most rewarding parts of the show was making that change.
“I swear I felt pure joy shining down on us. I know that most of the young people on the stage and in the audience did not know the history of the black national anthem before Coachella.
“But they understood the feeling it gave them.
“It was a celebration of all the people who sacrificed more than we could ever imagine, who moved the world forward so that it could welcome a woman of colour to headline such a festival.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Dweezil Zappa is set to return to the UK in December.
The US guitarist will take to the stage in London, Manchester, Southampton, Oxford, Leeds, and Birmingham later this year, where he will be performing his father Frank Zappa’s ‘Hot Rats’ album in its entirety.
Entitled the ‘Hot Rats Live! Tour’, Dweezil will be using the shows as part of his mission to re-acquaint the world with the music of his famous father in a fresh context, whilst still remaining true to Frank’s unique and impeccable sonic heritage.
In a press release, Dweezil said: “We have always enjoyed presenting Frank’s music to audiences in the UK. This tour gives us the opportunity to perform ‘Hot Rats’ as well as other material from his huge body of work that is still as alive and relevant today as it was when it was composed.”
‘Hot Rats’ played a pivotal role in establishing Frank Zappa as a composer and guitarist, and was dedicated to the new-born Dweezil when it was released back in 1969.
In the 49-year-old guitarist’s upcoming tour, the tracks from the iconic album will be joined by an assortment of other psychedelic beats well known to fans of the musical family, as well as being equally exciting for music fans new to his sound.

OHMYGOSSIP — Damon Albarn says music “needs” to be political.
The Blur and Gorillaz rocker has been known to inject political messages into his songs both in his groups and as a solo artist, and has said there’s a need for music to have a strong message because “selfie music” isn’t “sustainable”.
When asked about the influx of political songs in the wake of several recent political events, Damon said: “It needs to – it really, really needs to. The selfie music is not sustainable. Have I made a selfie tune? I probably tried to but my innate obtuse nature prevented me from doing it properly.”
Damon also spoke about his love of travelling, and said seeing the world is important as it allows people to “connect with the world” and become less “isolated in their own little bubble”.
Speaking on BBC 6 Music’s ‘The Leisure Society’, he said: “[Travel is] really important and I honestly feel that we could definitely tone down the extremist views people seem to behold at the moment if they weren’t so isolated in their own little bubble.
“The internet has given this weird access to everyone to feel like they’re informed and they connect with the world but they’re not physically going to the places. If you physically see the bigger picture, not just the harsh edit of what something is, and you see the human side of what it actually is, you have such a different view.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Parklife’ hitmaker recently said he plans on disappearing from the pop scene “for a few years” to head to Africa to work on a new project.
The 50-year-old singer said: I’m doing this really fascinating thing in west Africa based on the poem of Sundiata.
“Sort of disappear from pop music and go a bit into new territory for a few years.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sheryl Crow has released a re-recorded version of her duet with the late Johnny Cash.
The nine-time Grammy Award-winning artist originally released ‘Redemption Day’ with the late star on her self-titled 1996 album, but she has now unveiled a re-recorded version of the hit song as the lead single from her upcoming album, which is set for release this summer.
‘Redemption Day’ was penned after Sheryl visited Bosnia with then-First Lady Hillary Clinton, where she she visited military bases, played for troops, and met with families.
Speaking of the trip, she said: “I’d never been anywhere even close to a war-torn area. We had all these resources tied up in Bosnia, and I kept thinking about how and why do we choose where to get involved. Is it desire for control, greed for oil – what is it?”
In 2003, one of Johnny Cash’s sons-in-law played the track for the music icon, who then wanted to speak to her before getting involved in it himself.
Sheryl added: “He asked a lot of questions about different lines and what I meant. He didn’t want to put his voice to the song without being able to believe it heart and soul.”
Cash – who passed away in September 2003 – recorded the song and later released his own version on the posthumous album ‘American VI: Ain’t No Grave’, in 2010.
Sheryl performed the track on stage as a duet with a recording of Cash in 2014, which inspired her to approach his estate with the idea of re-recording a collaboration of their voices for her new project.
Alongside the new recording, the music video for the song – which couples footage of Cash next to scenes of a young child watching history unfold – was projected around iconic locations in central London on Friday (19.04.19).
Sheryl said of the video: “As a mom of two young kids. I see that our kids watch what we do on their behalf and how we shape their future. They’re privy to everything visual, especially now, and there’s no way to shield your child from the roughness of reality. If we could see the world through a child’s eyes, we would make different decisions.”
And Sheryl hopes Cash’s voice will “offer some hope”.
She said in a press release: “With what’s happening in our nation now, and how dire things look, to have Johnny’s voice offers some hope. Knowing how he felt about the song, I feel pretty certain that he would have some wisdom to impart about what’s happening now and who we are becoming. I hope that wherever he is, he feels proud to be a part of it – I certainly feel his presence in the song.”

OHMYGOSSIP — FKA Twigs will release a new single on Wednesday (24.04.19).
The 31-year-old singer last released solo work in the form of 2016’s stand-alone single ‘Good to Love’, which came a year after her last EP ‘M3LL155X’, but almost three years later she’s announced she’s making her long-awaited comeback with a brand new single called ‘Cellophane’, which will be released on Wednesday at 7:30pm in the UK.
In a message posted to her Twitter account on Tuesday (23.04.19) night, she wrote: “throughout my life I’ve practiced my way to being the best I could be, it didn’t work this time. I had to tear down every process I’d ever relied on. go deeper. rebuild. start again.
“cellophane is coming, tomorrow 7:30pm bst / 11:30am pacific / 2:30pm eastern (sic)”
‘M3LL155X’ came as Twigs’ third EP after her debut releases ‘EP1’ and ‘EP2’ in 2012 and 2013 respectively, and followed her debut studio album, ‘LP1’, which was released in 2014 and was nominated for that year’s Mercury Music Prize.
Despite her sporadic releases, the ‘Two Weeks’ hitmaker has embarked on various collaborative projects throughout the years, including working on last year’s ‘Fukk Sleep’ with A$AP Rocky.
Earlier this year, the star – who is known for her unique sound, which has been described as “genre-bending” – took to social media to retweet several messages from her fans asking when she would be releasing new music, though at the time she did not give any of them an answer.
As of the time of writing, it’s unknown whether Twigs’ new single will be another stand-alone release, or if it will form part of another EP, or full album.

OHMYGOSSIP — Rochelle Humes’ daughter finds her pop career embarrassing.
The 30-year-old presenter – who has daughters Alaia-Mai, five, and two-year-old Valentina with husband Marvin Humes – will never rule out a reunion for The Saturdays but if the group did get back together, she doesn’t think her eldest child would be too impressed.
Asked if she’ll ever reunite with Frankie Bridge, Mollie King, Una Healy and Vanessa White, she said: “I always say never say never, because you never know.
“Who knew I would be where I am today? So who knows where I’ll be in 10 years time.
“I find it very hard to believe it will happen though. I can’t imagine getting up there and rocking those routines again.
“I think Alaia would be mortified. I try and show her stuff on YouTube every now and again and she’s like, ‘Can we put Little Mix back on?’
“I’m a massive Little Mix fan. I’ve been to every tour they’ve done with Alaia.”
While the ‘Issues’ hitmakers have no definite plans to reform, they still enjoy getting together for fun evenings out.
Rochelle told heat magazine: “We get together over dinner and drink cocktails and have fun.
“We get to live Mollie and Vanessa’s lives for a bit because they don’t have kids yet, so they can come out and let go.
“We’ll be messaging on our group the next morning and they won’t reply until midday… I remember those days.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Justin Bieber performed on stage for the first time in two years during Ariana Grande’s Coachella set on Sunday (21.04.19).
The 25-year-old pop superstar – who was videoed hugging Billie Eilish during Ariana’s set last weekend – broke his hiatus to duet with the ‘Thank U, Next’ hitmaker on his 2015 hit ‘Sorry’.
The performance was a complete surprise as Ariana, also 25, had said there would be no special guests joining her for her second performance at the festival.
During his impromptu appearance, which came after Ariana sung ‘Break Free’, Justin – who is married to Hailey Bieber – told the California crowd: “I haven’t been on stage in like two years. I came out here, no idea I was gonna be on stage tonight.
“I wore this fly outfit not knowing I was gonna be on stage. I had to get my groove back, get my swag back.”
The ‘Love Yourself’ singer – who shares manager Scooter Braun with the ‘No Tears Left to Cry’ hitmaker – then said: “Thank you Coachella, thank you to Ariana Grande. She’s so amazing by the way, she’s so awesome.”
If that wasn’t enough, Justin then teased that his new album – his first since 2015’s ‘Purpose’ – is “coming soon”.
Justin – who recently made his music return on Lil Dicky’s song ‘Earth’ with Ariana, and the likes of Ed Sheeran, DJ Khaled, Katy Perry, Halsey, Shawn Mendes and Adam Levine – told fans in March that he wouldn’t be rushing his return to music because he wanted to take the time to make something he could be proud of.
He wrote in a lengthy social media post: “So I read a lot of messages saying you want an album .. I’ve toured my whole teenage life, and early 20s, I realised and as you guys probably saw I was unhappy last tour and I don’t deserve that and you don’t deserve that, you pay money to come and have a lively energetic fun light concert and I was unable emotionally to give you that near the end of the tour.
“I will come with a kick ass album ASAP, my swag is undeniable and my drive is indescribable his love is supernatural his grace is that reliable…. the top is where I reside period whether I make music or not the king said so. but I will come with a vengeance believe that.. OHMYGOSSIP — The Jonas Brothers have announced their comeback album, ‘Happiness Begins’.
The sibling trio of Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas have confirmed their new LP will be released on June 7 as Kevin admitted this is the album he is most “proud” of.
Sharing the album artwork on Twitter, they simply captioned it: “#HappinessBegins June 7th … So proud of this new record and we can’t wait for you guys to have these songs!! (sic)”
And in a post on his personal Twitter account, Kevin wrote: “#HappinessBegins June 7th … After 7 years of not working together & finding ourselves we’re back to give you our journey in album form. Out of all the albums we’ve done I’m most proud of this one. Wish you could have it now, but you’ll just have to wait a little bit longer. (sic)”
Nick and Joe also posted about their new LP on social media, with the younger sibling writing: “So excited to share that our new album #HappinessBegins will be out June 7th! (sic)”
And Joe added in his own message: “Can’t wait for you guys to hear this album! (sic)”
Nick had previously confessed that “transparency was the key factor’ in the Jonas Brothers reunion.
He said: “I think the thing that was so great about this next chapter was that it really began with us getting to the healthiest place we could be as brothers and as family before we decided to work together at all, given that the way it ended before was not the best.
“We just thought, let’s dive in, let’s really open up and pull this thing apart and see what would need to be different for this to work this time around for a healthier relationship. I think that honesty, that transparency, really was the key factor. And I built the foundation now to where those things that used to be hiccups before for us, are no longer a problem and we’re able to really enjoy this ride and the reaction so far to the new music and everything that’s going on has just been incredible.”

OHMYGOSSIP — BTS believe their connection to their fans comes from being “sincere”.
The K-pop idols – comprised of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook – have taken the world by storm in recent years and have amassed a mammoth fanbase, and the group now say their fans are so loyal to them because they’re always open to “sharing their emotions”.
Jimin, 23, said: “I think we’re able to quickly engage with our fans by being sincere with our feelings. We try to share our emotions with our fans.”
And the ‘Boy with Luv’ hitmakers – who collaborate with Halsey on the chart-topping track – say they love listening to the “shouting and screaming” of their fans before they start a performance.
Jungkook, 21, added: “Whenever we begin a performance, I take out my earpieces and listen to the shouting and screaming. It fills me with energy.”
Whilst the group’s leader RM, 24, says listening to their fans’ screams of support always makes their level of fame seem surreal.
Speaking to ‘CBS This Morning’, he said: “I suddenly think, like, am I really here? We have to practise the same choreography again and again, we have to keep the promise.”
Meanwhile, although the ‘Fake Love’ singers are garnering worldwide popularity, they’ve said they won’t be releasing a track fully in English any time soon, as they don’t want to change who they are just to gain more success in America and Europe.
RM said: “A Hot 100 and a Grammy nomination, these are our goals. But they’re just goals – we don’t want to change our identity or our genuineness to get the number one.
“Like if we sing suddenly in full English, and change all these other things, then that’s not BTS. We’ll do everything, we’ll try. But if we couldn’t get number one or number five, that’s OK.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Minogue reportedly plans to debut a new song during her Sunday afternoon Legend’s slot at Glastonbury.
The 50-year-old Australian pop princess has reportedly been working with songwriter and producer to the stars Eg White – who contributed to her last album ‘Golden’ – and the pair have reportedly registered a track titled ‘A Rose Is A Rose’, which could get its debut when the ‘Dancing’ hitmaker plays the festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset this summer.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Kylie’s been writing and recording new music for a while and its likely fans will hear some of the material when she plays Glastonbury in June.
“She’s just registered a song called ‘A Rose Is A Rose’ which she wrote with producer EG White.
“He worked with Kylie on her most recent album and has written songs for big-name artists including Adele and Celine Dion.”
Kylie was scheduled to hit the stage at the music extravaganza in 2004, but was forced to pull out a month before when she discovered that she had breast cancer.
However, more than a decade on, the ‘Spinning Around’ hitmaker will finally get her chance to perform at the five-day festival on the Pyramid stage on June 30.
She wrote on Instagram: “I’m so thrilled to announce that I’ll be playing the ‘Legend slot’ on Sunday 30th June at @glastofest 2019. It will be 14 years since I was originally meant to appear there and so much has happened up to now.
“I can’t wait to see you all there to share the special show.”
Kylie – who released her 14th studio album ‘Golden’ last year – made no secret of the fact that she’d love to perform at Glastonbury, and previously admitted that it would be a very “emotional” show for her to do.
She said at the time: “When I was supposed to do it I think I would have been the first solo female to headline in however many years it was, so I was really proud of that at that time. Obviously it didn’t happen.
“So yes, it would be amazing and very emotional to be standing there and doing what I didn’t get to do all those years ago, for sure.”
Kylie does have some experience when it comes to entertaining the Glastonbury crowd though, as she appeared on stage with the Scissor Sisters back in 2010.
The ‘Love At First Sight’ singer follows in the footsteps of the likes of the Bee Gees star Barry Gibb, Dolly Parton, Neil Diamond and Lionel Richie in performing the Legend slot.

OHMYGOSSIP — Take That feel they should have received a lifetime achievement BRIT Award by now.
Howard Donald – who is joined by Gary Barlow and Mark Owen in the Manchester band – has admitted he is bemused as to why US star Pink was honoured with the Outstanding Contribution To Music gong at the ceremony in February.
The ‘Back For Good’ hitmakers already have eight BRITs to their name, but the 50-year-old star thinks their dazzling 30-year career should be recognised by the biggest music awards ceremony in the UK, though his bandmate Mark, 47, doesn’t think it will happen because former member Robbie Williams already won the prize in 2010.
Howard told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “We’re not going to get anything from the BRITs. We’re not bloody Americans, we’re Brits. It doesn’t make sense to me.
“There should have been some recognition for the 30 years, 100 per cent. You need to tell them.”
Mark added: “I mean, they gave it to Rob one year so maybe they think they can’t give it to Take That again.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Shine’ hitmakers also confessed that they are “embarrassed” by their “crap” name.
Mark admitted: “There have been times when we’ve been a bit embarrassed about our name.
“We used to apologise when we introduced ourselves saying ‘We’re Take That’ and thought we should be called something different.”
Gary agreed: “It’s a little bit like The Pet Shop Boys — as a name you think it’s stupid.
“When you say the name Take That you do tend to think of us in a stadium or something, but it is a crap name.”
Take That – which also featured Jason Orange until his final departure in 2014 – are currently on their ‘Greatest Hits Live Tour’, and although they plan to take a long break to spend time with their families after the run, they will be back for the next “chapter” in a “few” years time.
Howard said: “We’re going to rest for a bit and not even think about any other tours or albums.
“This is the end of Part Two and when we feel like it, we can come back and start talking again about where we want to go next, rather than having the pressure of coming straight out of a tour and thinking, ‘Right come the middle of the year we’ve got to start writing another album and go over to LA and do this and do that’.
“It’s actually really nice, because we’ve all got big families and we want to spend time with them rather than saying ‘We’re only going to stay with them ’til August and then we’ve got to go over to LA and do another album’.
“It’s nice to say we know we’ve got another few years.”
