OHMYGOSSIP — Madonna has added six dates to her residency at The London Palladium due to demand.
An “overwhelming” number of Verified Fan registrations for the ‘Madame X World Tour’ dates were received for the original six shows at the iconic theatre, which take place between January 26, 2020 and February 2, 2020, and so the Queen of Pop has now extended the stint, which will continue on February 4 through to February 11.
The residency extension follows the 60-year-old superstar’s ‘Eurovision Song Contest’ debut on Saturday night (18.05.19).
Madonna left 200 million viewers speechless with her epic performance of ‘Like a Prayer’ and new album track ‘Future’.
The ‘Medellin’ singer’s headline set in Tel Aviv, Israel, saw her transform the stage into a makeshift chapel with a hooded choir and religious imagery as she revived the 1989 hit which turns 30 this year.
Madonna, who was dressed in a lengthy robe and dazzling eye patch, slowly walked down a steep set of stairs as she belted out the words to one of her biggest his.
She then switched up the atmosphere, giving her live debut of her new reggae-tinged track ‘Future’ featuring Migos star Quavo – who was proud to perform with “one of the best” pop stars in the world – and the pair brought their energetic performance to a dramatic close as the stage went black and they fell in unison backwards off a high platform and the words “Wake Up” were left on the screen.
Before hitting the stage, Madonna gave an impassioned speech reminding people to “never underestimate the power of music to bring people together”.
She said: “Another really obvious statement is look at all the delegates behind us everybody here is from all over the world, right.
“Some of the counties that I have been privileged enough to visit and experience and the one thing that brings me to those countries and the thing that brings all of these people here tonight is music.
“So let’s never underestimate the power of music to bring people together.
“To quote an amazing song [Madonna’s 2000 hit ‘Music’], ‘Music makes the people come together.'”

OHMYGOSSIP — The Vaccines “panicked” when Sir Mick Jagger “went in for a fist pump” backstage when they supported The Rolling Stones.
Freddie Cowan, the band’s guitarist-and-vocalist, has revealed that the ‘Brown Sugar’ hitmakers – completed by Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts – always make sure to get a picture with their support acts and he recalled how one of his bandmates left the 75-year-old rock legend “hanging” when Mick put his fist up instead of going in for a handshake.
Freddie said: “They are probably the only band we’ve supported that have a meet and greet with the support band.
“So they get you back to their area and they come and say hi to you, and then you have a picture taken with them.
“I asked their assistant like, ‘Why are they doing this? Are they hoping the support band are the next Beatles and they have photo evidence of themselves with them?’
And the assistant said, ‘No, they’re just gentleman and know the support band would like a picture.’
“And they do! I have one from Hyde Park, so it’s just amazing really.”
Recalling the embarrassing incident, he added to Metro.co.uk: “So, Mick came into the room, and he wanted to fist pump.
“Someone was holding their hand out for a handshake and he came in wanting to fist pump.
“And everyone panicked a bit – I think one of us left him hanging!”
The Vaccines – who released their fourth studio album ‘Combat Sports’ in 2018 – first opened for the ‘Start Me Up’ hitmakers at London’s Hyde Park as part of their ’50 and Counting Tour’ in 2013.
The ‘If You Wanna’ group clearly impressed the band as they went on to support them on their ‘No Filter Tour’ date at Southampton’s St. Mary’s Stadium last May.
Meanwhile, Freddie and his bandmates – Justin Hayward-Young, Árni Árnason, Timothy Lanham and Yoann Intonti – are set to enter the studio to work on their next album following a summer of festivals.

OHMYGOSSIP — Corey Taylor is “still freaking out” after getting to work on Slipknot’s new masks with horror special effects legend Tom Savini.
The heavy metal veterans unveiled their brand new disguises last week and the ‘All Out Life’ group’s frontman has recalled how he fanboyed when he got to visit the 72-year-old prosthetic make-up artist’s home – which he described as “the coolest sci-fi horror museum ever”.
Speaking about his idol – who has contributed pieces to the movies ‘Friday The 13th’, ‘Dawn Of The Dead’ and ‘From Dusk ‘Til Dawn’ – Corey said: “That was the coolest thing ever. He had us over to his house. It was the coolest sci-fi horror museum ever. My mask got molded at his school outside of Pittsburgh. I worked with his associate Jason Baker. The fan in me is still freaking out.”
Slipknot recently announced their upcoming sixth studio album ‘We Are Not Your Kind’.
The record is produced by Greg Fidelman and will drop on August 9, and Corey has teased that it “falls in between ‘Iowa’ and ‘Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)'”
The former album, released in 2001, is regarded as the band’s heaviest album to date, whilst 2004’s ‘Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)’ featured more melodic song structures and acoustic guitar.
Speaking to HeavyMetalMill.com, Corey teased: “It is really dark. The music falls in between ‘Iowa’ and ‘Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)’. It is experimental, but heavy as hell. It’s aggressive, but has tons of melodies. I think people are really going to dig it.”
The 45-year-old rocker – who regularly uses Twitter to air his, sometimes, controversial opinions – explained that the fact he feels like he has become a “meme” in recent times has inspired the “dark” new material, and said it’s his way of saying “you don’t have to like me” but “not giving a s**t”.
He explained: “The crazy thing I have noticed over the last couple years I have seen a shift in the way people look at me.
“I thought having an opinion was something that was cool, and now I’m becoming a meme.
“I feel everyone is starting to turn on me, so I am using that to my advantage.
“I am, like, ‘All right, you want a villain? I will give you a f***ing villain.’ “That is kind of where I am in my life — not giving a s**t.
“I am basically saying, ‘You don’t have to like me, but you are going to love me anyway.'”

OHMYGOSSIP — Craig David is set to release a new single this month.
The 38-year-old singer will drop his first new music of 2019 on May 31, with a brand new single entitled ‘When You Know What Love Is’, which is set to feature on the new ‘Love Island’ compilation, which hits shelves on June 7.
Speaking in a statement about the new track, Craig said: ”It feels amazing to share what I’ve been working on! I can’t wait for you all to hear it! This track came about so naturally and it’s all about the initial undeniable spark you get when something feels right – wanting to hold on to that feeling and seeing how it can develop.”
The single will arrive ahead of a mammoth summer for the star, which will see him return to his Ibiza Rocks Hotel residency for a fourth season between July 9 and September 24, whilst also curating his own stage at SW4 on August 24, where he will be joined by special guests including Basement Jaxx, Mabel, Big Zuu, Yungen, Nathan Dawe, Jax Jones, Martin Sloveig and Sigma.
Craig’s SW4 stage will be an embodiment of his critically acclaimed TS5 shows, which began as exclusive pre-parties in Miami and were hosted in his penthouse home, Tower Suite 5.
TS5 has since gone on to become a must-see live event, with Craig playing sets at the biggest festivals and clubs around the world, where he combines singing, DJ’ing, MC’ing, incredible energy and the biggest party anthems which have helped turn TS5 into a global festival powerhouse.
The ‘7 Days’ hitmaker will be making his debut TS5 takeover at this year’s SW4 festival in London, and has said he’s keen to show off “new rising talent” at the event.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sleeper frontwoman Louise Wener didn’t speak about her alleged sexual harassment experiences because she wanted her band to be in the headlines, rather than just herself.
The 52-year-old singer has said that “lad culture” in the 90s led her into situations with people she’d like to “punch now”, but has said she didn’t speak out against the alleged harassment because she didn’t want to “make the story about” herself.
Speaking as she reflected on her past experiences in the wake of the #MeToo movement, Louise said: “There are people I would probably punch now if I were to see them. You know, I was really young. I was outspoken and confident but still, there was this thinking that you had to join in with the ladism, and if you didn’t, it was questioned.
“I feel I should have complained about it more at the time. But also, you didn’t want to make the story about yourself. You wanted it to be more like, ‘I’m in a band, I’m a songwriter, a lyricist’. It was a case of, do I want to make that the story or talk about something someone did to me one time. So you kind of wanted to let it slide and gloss over it.”
Louise – whose band are making a comeback over two decades since their 1998 split – also admits that some people have even apologised to her for things they did back in the 90s.
She added: “Some people have come up and apologised to me, and said ‘I’m so sorry for that interview that I did with you.”
Sleeper released three albums and were featured on the soundtrack to cult film ‘Trainspotting’ before their split, and Louise said it was her sister’s stage four cancer diagnoses in 2017 that led her to wanting to reunite the group.
She said: “Actually, it was a very sad thing. My sister got ill in 2017, and part of my reaction to that was that I wanted to do something life affirming and out of my comfort zone, and I thought, maybe it’s my last chance to play with my band again. So I had a mad impulse to do it.”
And the ‘Sale of the Century’ singer – who is married to Sleeper drummer Andy MacLure – says it was “nerve-wracking” picking up her guitar for the first time in years.
Speaking to Radio X presenter Gordon Smart for the online music TV show ‘Red Stripe Presents: This Feeling TV’, she said: “It was quite nerve wracking. We didn’t know how it was going to be, how it was going to sound. We didn’t know if we could still do it and it took a while for everyone to get their mojo back.
“There was a moment when it was dreadful … I couldn’t play guitar at all, I literally couldn’t bend my fingers to make the chords anymore. But there was a moment that it sounded immense, and everyone was looking at each other saying, this is really good.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jimmy Page says Led Zeppelin’s music has stood the test of time because their back catalogue is “extremely dynamic”.
A new movie from the iconic ‘Whole Lotta Love’ group is in the works by director Bernard MacMahon – who helmed the 2017 music documentary ‘American Epic’ – and celebrates the ‘Stairway to Heaven’ hitmakers on their 50th anniversary, and the band’s guitarist and co-founder has opened up on the “great legacy” they’ve left behind.
Page told website Movie TV Tech Geeks: “It approaches so many different styles and moods and it’s very passionate.
“And it also very gentle. And it’s very hard. And it’s extremely dynamic.
“If anybody wants to be playing the guitar, the harmonica, the drums, the bass, the keyboards – well, it’s all there.
“And it’s organic music where everyone is playing together.
“I think it’s a great legacy to have produced, to be honest.”
The as-yet-untitled project is now in post production, and traces the journeys of the four members – Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, and the late John Bonham – through the music scene of the 1960s, their meeting in the summer of 1968 for a rehearsal that will change the future of rock, and culminates in 1970 when their second album knocks The Beatles off the top of the charts.
Speaking in a press release about the film, Page said: “When I saw everything Bernard had done both visually and sonically on the remarkable achievement that is ‘American Epic’, I knew he would be qualified to tell our story.”
Whilst frontman Plant added: “Seeing Will Shade, and so many other important early American musicians, brought to life on the big screen in ‘American Epic’ inspired me to contribute to a very interesting and exciting story.”
And bassist-and-keybordist Jones said: “The time was right for us to tell our own story for the first time in our own words, and I think that this film will really bring that story to life.”
The documentary features brand new interviews of the three surviving members as well as rare archival interviews with the late Bonham, and never before seen archive film and photographs.
The film will be the first Led Zeppelin story told through the words of the members themselves, and is the first and only time the band have participated in a documentary in their 50-year career.
As of the time of writing, the film is yet to have a firm release date.

OHMYGOSSIP — Anne-Marie “felt safe” performing at the Bataclan over the weekend.
The ‘Perfect To Me’ hitmaker played a show at the Parisian venue on Saturday night (18.05.19) almost four years after it was targeted in a terror attack during an Eagles of Death Metal concert which left 90 people dead, but she told her fans felt “comfortable” at her show despite the history of the building.
She tweeted: “Paris, thank you for making this show so special. I felt comfortable, happy and safe. I hope you felt the same. Je vous aime.”
The 27-year-old star has previously opened up about getting nervous on stage, and she admitted she still struggles when she’s faced with large groups, despite performing for a living.
She explained: “My shyness got worse at the start of my career.
You’d think being a singer would be good for your confidence but, for me, it was actually the opposite.
“The more people I met, the more anxious I became. I was really protective of my feelings and wary of getting mugged off.”
And Anne-Marie has also admitted she once thought she was suffering with bipolar disorder because she was left so devastated by the French terror attack at the Bataclan in November 2015, six days before she was due to perform at the same venue.
She said: “I think that was the time where I saw that I was dealing with things differently and I always thought I had bipolar because my emotions would switch so much.
“I was in bed for three days straight because my body couldn’t deal with what happened and that’s when I looked into being an empath, so that was the moment really that made me look into that part of my life and that was very scary.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Charli XCX and BTS have registered a collaboration titled ‘Glow’.
The 26-year-old pop star recently dropped ‘Blame It On Your Love’ with Lizzo and now it looks like her next track is about to feature the K-Pop superstars, after the British star and all seven members of BTS – RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook – and producers Stargate were listed as contributors to the song by the music licensing organisation.
The collaboration appears to have been in the works for some time, as in 2017, Charli shared a picture backstage with BTS.
She captioned the snap: “first day as the newest member of @BTS_twt. love u guys (sic)”
The ‘Boom Clap’ hitmaker is currently working on her third studio album, whilst BTS dropped their star-studded LP ‘Map of The Soul: Persona’, which features Ed Sheeran collaboration ‘Make It Right’ and Halsey on ‘Boy With Luv’, in April.
Charli recently teased that ‘Blame It On Your Love’ is the most “pop” on her follow-up to 2014 LP ‘Sucker’.
She said: “I think this will probably sit on the more pop spectrum of what I’m doing with the record.”
Meanwhile, the ‘1999’ hitmaker has asked her fans to suggest which places she should come and perform at on her next tour.
Referencing her hit song ‘Boys’, she tweeted over the weekend: “i was busy thinking bout… TOUR DATES!!! comment ur city below & i will try & come & visit u this year! (sic)”
Charli recently announced she and her ‘1999’ duet partner Troye Sivan have curated a “new kind of pride festival”, Go West Fest in Los Angeles, which will benefit LGBTQ+ media organisation GLAAD and local charities.
The latter tweeted: “A new kind of pride festival curated by me n @charli_xcx that celebrates the inclusivity, artistry, music, kinks, merchants, and creativity of the LGBTQ community, while really giving back to our community.”
Both of them will perform alongside a host of artists at The Wiltern on June 6.

OHMYGOSSIP — Diplo says Travis Scott has been ignoring his texts.
The 40-year-old producer previously teamed up with Travis, Quavo and Camila Cabello for the 2017 song ‘Know No Better’ and although Travis has suggested working together again, Diplo claims he has been avoiding his messages.
Diplo told fans on Instagram that after bumping into Travis at a recent festival, the rapper asked the DJ to collaborate again but when they swapped numbers, he discovered Travis had already ignored 15 messages from him.
Diplo said: “Travis sees me after a festival and says ‘Hey let’s make another song’. “Me ‘What’s your new number?’ Adds number, Texts him next day ‘this is Diplo’ notices the number was saved and I already sent desperate looking texts to the same number fifteen times over 5 years.”
Diplo then added a screenshot of some of the texts, dating back to February, which included “Wes/Diplo, lock me in” and “hey, what’s up bro, text me back.”
In April he wrote, “it’s Diplo think something might be wrong with my texts…hit me back,” and in May he sent: “Yo Trav you must be super busy lol I know how it goes anyways hit my line my guy,” followed by “are you mad at me?”
Fans will be hoping they work out their differences after ‘Know No Better’ proved to be a huge hit, winning both a Teen Choice Award for Electronic/Dance Song and Best Trending Track at the WDM Radio Awards.

OHMYGOSSIP — Bono’s son Elijah Hewson’s band Inhaler are set to support Noel Gallagher on tour.
The U2 frontman is great friends with former Oasis guitarist Noel and introduced the 19-year-old musician to the Manchester group’s music a couple of years ago, and Bono has now managed to get Elijah and his bandmates a slot opening for Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds this summer.
The ‘Wonderwall’ hitmaker was clearly impressed by Inhaler, who he has described as “early U2”.
Noel told BBC Radio 2: “Hi’s son’s got something.
“Eli has been getting it together for a few years and has gone through the stages most young people do.
“He started off a bit like The Clash, a bit angry.
“They’re good.
“They’re going to do some gigs with me in the summer.
“They’re a bit like the [Echo and the] Bunnymen and early U2, which is a surprise.”
Noel and Bono – who also has two daughters, Jordan, 30, and Eve, 27, and John, 17, with wife Ali Hewson – often goes on holidays together and the Irish music icon is always texting the Britpop legend bizarre things he doesn’t understand.
The ‘Black Star Dancing’ singer added: “He sends me texts all the time.
“I show them to Sara [his wife] and go, ‘What do you think he means by that?; and then I just ignore him.”
As well as Elijah, Noel’s 19-year-old daughter Anais Gallagher – who has snapped several photos of Inhaler and worked on their artwork – is set to join her dad on tour in Japan to get some experience under her belt after starting a course in photography.
However, Noel says he’s warned his daughter that she won’t be getting much time to be a tourist and go shopping as he wants her to learn “the brutality” of his work.
He said: “She’s doing a photography course at uni and she’s coming on tour with me.
“We’re going to Japan. It will be good for her to see the brutality of my regime.
“I was like, ‘You’re going but there’s no such things as days off.’
“She was like, ‘What about shopping?’
“I went, ‘You won’t be doing any.'”
Noel recently joked that his children are “lucky bastards” to have him as a dad as he performed at the London Palladium last week.
The 51-year-old rocker played an intimate gig at the historic venue and among the 2,300 fans in attendance were his wife Sara MacDonald and their two sons, Donovan, 11, and Sonny, eight, and Anais – whose mother is his ex-wife Meg Mathews.
Showcasing his sarcastic humour, Noel dedicated his High Flying Birds hit ‘AKA… What A Life!’ to his three kids by saying: “I’d like to dedicate this song to my three kids who are here. You lucky bastards. You lucky, lucky bastards.”

OHMYGOSSIP — DJ Khaled knew Nipsey Hussle was “special” early on and tried to sign him to his record label.
The ‘I’m the One’ hitmaker has opened up about how “blessed” he was to have known the late rapper – who was shot and killed in March outside his Marathon shop in Los Angeles – for more than a decade and revealed he was keen to get him on his label, We the Best Music Group, which is now an imprint of Epic Records, which already had Nipsey on their books at the time.
Speaking to DJ Semtex on the Spotify Original ‘Who We Be TALKS_’ podcast, Khaled shared: “I was blessed to know Nipsey for a long time, I’ve known him probably 12 years.
“I’ve always been a fan of him ever since he had that documentary out, it is a long time ago and I’ve seen the documentary of him before I even heard a record, and I was already like this kid is special.
“I actually tried to sign him, he was on Epic that time, and I was working at Def Jam and he came to Miami to record with us and caught a vie and the minute I met him I’m like, ‘Yo I am a big fan.'”
Nipsey features on the 43-year-old star’s star-studded new album ‘Father of Asahd’ – which is out now and also features collaborations with Beyonce, Cardi B, Post Malone and Travis Scott, to name a few – on the track ‘Higher’ with John Legend, which they shot the music video for days before his tragic passing at the age of 33.
Among the tracks is ‘Celebrate’ featuring hip-hop superstars Travis Scott and Post Malone, and Khaled says he was determined to get both of the rappers in the studio to lay down their lines in person.
He said: “Travis Scott and Post Malone I fought to make sure we actually recorded the record meaning through everybody’s schedule, its Travis Scott coming off ‘Astroworld’, just fighting through that schedule to get a recordable, before I talk about how we recorded, I just want you to see the picture, the visual of me Travis and Post standing next to each other, those two guys are rock stars, you know, look at Travis right now, look at Post Malone, that’s like a dope collab and that’s a big collab, especially for the generation now.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Maluma has dropped new album ’11:11′ featuring new songs with the likes of Madonna, Ricky Martin and Ty Dolla $ign.
The 25-year-old Colombian star recently helped launch Madonna’s ‘Madame X’ era with the lead single ‘Medellin’ from her hotly-anticipated 14th studio album.
Now he has released his own star-studded record, featuring catchy Reggaeton number ‘Soltera’ with the Queen of Pop, the second of three songs from the pair, with ‘B*tch I am Loca’ also set to appear on ‘Madame X’.
The record was made after the Latin Grammy-winner underwent knee surgery and was left unable to tour.
On the concept behind the album, Maluma said: “’11:11′ is a direct signal from our guides, angels and teachers to establish a moment of connection, synchronicity and awareness with ourselves, with the whole.
“It is a wake-up call, a door to meditate, to listen to our intuition, to look into our interior, time to stop and feel the subtle energies of the universe, it’s a call from our essence, a reminder of our true purpose on earth, it is a call to trust.”
Maluma has also reunited with Ricky on ‘No Se Me Quita’, which follows their 2016 collaboration ‘Vente Pa’ Ca’.

Maluma will head out on the ‘Maluma 11:11 World Tour’, kicking off in San Diego, California, on September 6.

Following the release of lead single ‘Who’s Laughing Now’, Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp and Aerosmith’s Joe Perry’s legendary supergroup have dropped the original track which they debuted on their world tour last year.
As per a press release, the number is described as having a “laid-back groove, grinding guitars, and smooth strings” and hailed as “an epic, ominous, outsider anthem.”
The track is accompanied with an epic live video from the band’s show at Montreux Jazz Festival last year.
Meanwhile, last weekend saw the Vampires joined onstage by Marilyn Manson and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.
Depp performed his unique rendition of David Bowie classic ‘Heroes’, also featured on ‘Rise’ – produced by Cooper’s long-time touring member Tommy Henriksen – which acts as the follow-up to their 2015 self-titled debut LP, which is out on June 21.
Their second record is largely comprised of brand new material, but also features a tribute to Jim Carroll Band’s ‘People Who Died’ and Perry has put his own spin on Johnny Thunder’s ‘You Can’t Put Your Arms Around A Memory’.
‘Poison’ hitmaker Cooper previously said the songs represent how they “really sound” as a collective.
He said: “‘Rise’ is not only a totally different animal than the first Vampires album, it is unique to anything I’ve ever been a part of.
“I approached it very differently than I usually do when working on an album.
“Each of us; Joe, Johnny, Tommy and myself have written songs on this album.
“What is different though is that I didn’t try to change any songs to be more “Alice-like”.
“Because each of us has different influences, the sound of this album is very cool.
“I think that with this album, we are establishing what the Vampires’ sound really is, whereas with the first album we were more tipping our hats to our fallen rock n roll brothers.”
Perry – the lead guitarist in Aerosmith – added that the LP is “one of the most freest and honest” albums he’s ever worked on.
He said: “‘Rise’ came from pure creative energy, which is just like playing live with the Vampires.
“The record showcases everyone doing what they do best without anyone looking over our shoulders.
“There was no pressure or deadlines, allowing us to write and record an album that is one of the freest and most honest sounding records I’ve been part of. I can’t wait to perform some of these tunes live for our fans.”
The name of the band derives from the star-studded drinking club in the 70s on Hollywood’s Sunset Strip at the iconic Rainbow Bar & Grill’s upstairs bar, which over the years featured the likes of the late Beatles frontman John Lennon and The Who’s Keith Moon.
The band’s first record featured guest appearances from Sir Paul McCartney and Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl.

OHMYGOSSIP — Britney Spears has insisted she will perform again soon.
Just days after her manager Larry Rudolph revealed her Las Vegas residency is officially off and they have had no conversations about upcoming work, the star assured fans she will definitely be returning to the stage soon.
Asked if she plans to perform again soon, Britney told TMZ: “Of course.”
Britney’s comments come after Larry was forced to deny claims he had said she would never work again, insisting his comments were taken out of context.
He said: “Other media sources seem to be picking up my quotes to TMZ as implying that Britney will never work again. That’s not what I said. I simply said that the Vegas residency is now officially off and that she hasn’t called me in months to talk about doing anything so I’m not sure if or when she will ever want to work again. It’s that simple.
“She calls me if and when she wants to work. Other than that I’m not involved in anything else. Not the conservatorship, not her medical treatment, not her kids. Nothing else.”
Meanwhile, the star appeared in front of a judge earlier this month in a bid to be freed from her conservatorship, which has seen her father take control of her finances and life since her breakdown in 2007.
In her court appearance, Britney, 37 – who has sons Sean, 13, and Jayden, 12, with her ex-husband Kevin Federline – alleged her father committed her to a mental health facility last month against her will, and also forced her to take drugs.
The judge ordered a court investigation into the conservatorship with a full report expected before Britney’s next hearing in September.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran sees his audiences as a “blob”.
The ‘Shape of You’ hitmaker plays himself in upcoming movie ‘Yesterday’ – which is set in a world where The Beatles don’t exist – and he offered tips on performing to lead actor Himesh Patel, who plays songwriter Jack Malik, ahead of filming at his own concerts in Wembley and Cardiff.
Discussing the advice Ed gave him, Himesh explained to Total Film: “He says that they all become a blob and he entertains the blob. I wrote that on my script, entertain the blob.”
It seems Ed’s own life was a big inspiration on the script and his influence can be seen throughout the movie.
Screenwriter Richard Curtis said: “There’s a lot of Ed in the film, in the character, because Ed started playing in all the places our hero plays – like the Ipswich Agricultural Fair.”
Ed has been keeping busy after working on the film, and last week he released new collaboration ‘I Don’t Care’ with Justin Bieber.
Ed, 28, wrote on Instagram: “Me and @justinbieber have got a new song out. It’s called “I Don’t Care” hope you like it x (sic)”
Justin, 25, tweeted: “It’s out. I don’t care (sic)”
Meanwhile, Ed recently revealed he was set to work on an advert for Heinz’s Tomato Ketchup after reaching out to the brand.
He wrote on Instagram earlier this month:”It’s happening… #advert #dreamscometrue #believe #achieve”
His confirmation came shortly after he posed a question to the company alongside a picture of himself with the iconic ketchup bottle.
He wrote: “Yo @heinz I have an idea for a tv ad if you wanna do one, if not I won’t be offended, I could never be mad at you. Slide in my DMs or have your people call my people. Lots of love, your biggest fan x (sic)”
Heinz then replied that they were fully on board and “loved” the idea.
They messaged back: “Yo yourself @teddysphotos! We’re all. Actually, we’re all. But you get the idea. And we’d love to hear YOUR idea. Sorry, we’re nervous. Team Heinz is hitting you up RIGHT NOW.(sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Will Young was “obsessed” with making a pop record when he turned 40.
The ‘All the Songs’ hitmaker had previously turned his back on his chart career but he admitted celebrating the milestone birthday made him want to turn the tables on “ageism” and prove he could still make a great commercial album.
He told Gay Times: “I think there is a little bit of a sea change. I don’t think you have to be young now to be a popstar. This is what it is to be a popstar at 40 and it’s f***ing amazing. This album was about making really good pop music. Not s**t music because I can’t bear that.
“I constantly have this thing in my head about being 40 and making a pop record. I don’t know why I was obsessed with it. I’m still slightly obsessed with it.
“I think it’s a bit of, ‘This is how it’s done actually’. I don’t think it’s arrogance but I feel like the industry can be ageist – more towards women – and I feel like, ‘Well, flip the table on it.’ ”
The ‘Leave Right Now’ singer also admitted he “didn’t want” to write all the songs for the album because he wanted to remove the stress from the record-making process.
He said: “I just wanted to do it really simply. I didn’t want to do it the way it had been done before. It was about eliminating things that are stressful for me and extending the things that are joyful.
“I didn’t want to write all the songs. There’s somany amazing songwriters out there and I just hadn’t done it this way for about four albums. I didn’t really understand why.
“Every album, I’d always say, ‘Oh c’mon, how many bloody amazing songs are out there?’… Weirdly, of course, because the stress is off, I ended up writing the two singles.”
