The Kaiser Chiefs announce new album Duck

OHMYGOSSIP — The Kaiser Chiefs have announced a new album, ‘Duck’.
The rock band – fronted by Ricky Wilson – have confirmed the new LP will be unveiled on July 26, their first studio effort since 2016’s ‘Stay Together’.
The release of the album will be preceded by their new single ‘Record Collection’, which Ricky has described as “undeniably Kaiser Chiefs”.
Speaking on Radio X, where the song got its first play on Thursday morning (23.05.19), he said: “It’s undeniably fantastic and undeniably Kaiser Chiefs. It came quickly. It’s a vibe. It’s about the internet and frustration with the internet, about how it rules our lives but we don’t really understand what it is and how we just click accept.”
Meanwhile, Ricky previously insisted he doesn’t have a “particularly stressful” job.
He said: “It’s not like we have a particularly stressful job. It’s just writing songs and recording them. It’s nice to have a few days at the weekend to let your hair down and play a gig or two. Not only that but you get a dressing room with loads of free beer.
“It’s weird. Because I’m super excited about the record, I’m thinking about that less and less. A lot of people get carried away with it. You see it all the time. They end up doing things they don’t really want to do because they think that they have to. Nick [Hodgson], who used to be in the band gave me some good advice once. He said, ‘If you’re not 100% sure about something then you shouldn’t do it.'”

Olly Murs encouraging fans to open up about mental health

OHMYGOSSIP — Olly Murs hopes performing ‘Talking to Yourself’ on tour will encourage other people to open up about mental health.
The 35-year-old singer wants to help other people open up about their feelings and so decided to include the song in his live show.
Speaking to the 3500-strong at the Hull Bonus Arena, he said: “This song is about mental health. More and more people have been coming out about it recently and it’s important to do that. I might come across as a cheeky chappy but I’ve had my ups and downs over the years.
“You can’t do this by yourself, if you’re worried or panicked or have anxiety, speak up as it really is okay not to be okay. I went to a therapist two years ago to talk about how I was feeling, as I suffered from anxiety and depression, and if someone told me then that I would be stood here in a packed arena talking to you all about my mental health, I wouldn’t believe you. But here I am sharing what I went through and I want to get the message out there so more people will talk about mental health and get the help they need.”
Olly had previously revealed he sought therapy to combat anxiety and panic attacks.
Speaking about the anxiety attack he got before doing a live TV performance once, he recalled: “My heart was pounding and I couldn’t breathe. I’m standing behind the mic and I’m talking trying to calm myself down, thinking: ‘What’s going on? I’ve never ever been like this’. It was genuine panic. I was looking at my mum and dad in the audience and trying to focus, despite the fact I’d just forgotten my lyrics. It was just a routine performance but I didn’t know what was going on.”

Ed Sheeran unveils No.6 Collaborations Project

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran has unveiled his new album, ‘No.6 Collaborations Project’.
The ‘I Don’t Care’ hitmaker has been working on the new EP – where he collaborates with a range of different artists – since he started touring last year and he sees it as a follow up to the No.5 Collaborations Project EP he made before he was signed in 2011.
He wrote on Instagram: “Before I was signed in 2011, I made an EP called No.5 Collaborations Project. Since then, I’ve always wanted to do another, so I started No.6 on my laptop when I was on tour last year. I’m a huge fan of all the artists I’ve collaborated with and it’s been a lot of fun to make. No.6 Collaborations Project will be out everywhere on 12 July. It’s available to pre-order from midnight tonight local time and my song with @chancetherapper and @pnbrock will be out everywhere at the same time x (sic)”
Ed’s track with Justin Bieber and his new song ‘Cross Me’ with Chance the Rapper and PnB Rock feature on the album and whilst he has revealed the full tracklist, he has yet to unveil his collaborators. Tracks on the album include ‘Beautiful People’, ‘Remember The Name’, ‘Antisocial’, ‘Put It All On Me’ and ‘I Don’t Want Your Money’.
The 28-year-old star previously credited his success to hard work and persistence.
He said: “Persistence gets you wherever you want to go. My dad always said, ‘Nothing ventured, nothing gained.’ It was never, ‘It either works or it doesn’t’, you don’t stop until it works, basically. I applied that to the ‘Thinking Out Loud’ video, rehearsing five hours a day thinking, ‘Why the f**k am I learning to dance? I make the music, someone else can dance.’ But I set out to do it and I did it. If you feel like you should do something but it’s a risk, just f***ing do it. If it’s positive, obviously. Don’t do anything bad!”

Martin Kemp says Spandau Ballet is over until Tony Hadley returns

OHMYGOSSIP — Martin Kemp says Spandau Ballet is over until former lead singer Tony Hadley returns to the group.
The New Romantic band were left without a frontman when Tony made the decision in 2017 to quit the group and after playing some shows with new singer, West End performer Ross William Wild, last summer the remaining members came to the decision that it didn’t work without all five original members.
Bassist Martin is has announced that Spandau Ballet – also comprised of his brother Gary Kemp, Steve Norman and John Keeble – will remain on hiatus until Tony wants to come back.
Speaking on UK TV show ‘This Morning’ on Thursday (23.05.19) the 57-year-old musician said: “The band stopped playing and we thought it would be really cool if we took out Ross William Wild, he’s a lovely man, lovely singer. We tried that for about six or seven shows through Europe and it was great fun. But what I kind of started to realise what people really want is the five of us together. And I think what we should to do to be fair to that is to put it into a box and let it sit there until that happens.
“And if one day the five of us can talk and get back together it would be wonderful.”
When co-host Phillip Schofield asked him if the group had decided to end touring, he confirmed: “Until Tony comes back … until the five of us come back. It’s not just Tony, all five of us. Listen, my band is so volatile, one minute we are the best friends then we fall out, it has always been that way.
“I would love it to happen because it is part of me it is part of my soul. But it means all five of us saying yes at the same time.”
The group reunited in 2015 for a world tour and have split up on-and-off over their career spanning more than three decades.
Tony was the lead vocalist throughout the 80s, but his relationships with his bandmates hadn’t always been plain sailing.
In 1999, Tony, drummer John and sax player Steve were embroiled in a lawsuit over royalties with chief songwriter Gary, but they failed in their efforts.

Liam Gallagher hates brother Noel’s new song

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher has hit out at his estranged brother Noel Gallagher again – branding his new single “the biggest pile of s**t ever”.
The 46-year-old singer has savaged Noel’s latest song ‘Black Star Dancing’, insisting the dance track is so poor that even the 51-year-old songwriter knows it doesn’t compare to his previous work.
When asked by a follower on Twitter if he was “digging the new tune?”, Liam brutally replied: “It’s the biggest pile of s**t ever and he knows it, you know it and his plastic fans know it.”
Liam also confirmed that he and Noel are still not speaking to one another following the guitarist’s decision to quit Oasis in 2009 following a backstage bust-up with his younger sibling in Paris which ended with the rock ‘n’ roll frontman swinging a guitar “like an axe” at his big brother.
Another Twitter user asked him “still not talking then?”, prompting the matter-of-fact reply from the ‘Wall of Glass’ hitmaker: “Nope.”
Noel is to follow up the release of ‘Black Star Dancing’ with an EP of the same name on June 14 and is to follow up that with two more EPs in 2019.
In April, Liam finished recording his second solo LP, the follow-up to his hit album ‘As You Were’, and the first single is rumoured to be dropping this summer.
In June, Charlie Lightening’s documentary film ‘As It Was’ will be released which focuses on Liam launching a solo career in 2017 eight years after the demise of Oasis and will show him rebuilding his life through his passion for music.

The singer – who was also known as The Very Reverend D.Wayne Love – passed away on Tuesday (21.05.19) afternoon, according to a statement posted to the electronic band’s Facebook page.
The statement read: “Early this afternoon, on a beautiful summer’s day, our friend, comrade and spiritual teacher, Jake Black AKA The Very Reverend D.Wayne Love, passed over to the higher ground. Charli XCX promises new music for next five months

OHMYGOSSIP — Charli XCX has vowed to release new music for the next five months.
The 26-year-old singer recently unveiled her Lizzo collaboration ‘Blame It On Your Love’, and now she has teased fans with the promise of regular material for almost half a year.
Taking to social media this week, she tweeted: “Angels, your mother is about to feed you new music for 5 months straight. You deserve it and you’re welcome.”
While nothing has been confirmed about the new releases, Charli XCX and K-Pop superstars BTS have registered a track titled ‘Glow’.
It looks like it could be her next big track, after the British star and all seven members of BTS – RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook – and producers Stargate were listed as contributors to the song by the music licensing organisation.
The project appears to have been in the works for some time, as in 2017, Charli shared a picture backstage with BTS.
She captioned the snap: “first day as the newest member of @BTS_twt. love u guys (sic)”
Earlier this year, the ‘Boys’ hitmaker promised to release a new album in 2019, and she has since insisted although things are “slow” with the LP – her first since 2014’s ‘Sucker’ – it will be worth the wait.
She said: “just so you know angels – i am working on new music and things are coming this year. i know i’m slow sometimes but i want things perfect. this new era will be all things Charli. kind of a continuation of pop 2 but also more Charli than ever before. no compromises, my best yet. (sic)”

Billy Ray Cyrus gifted Maserati by Lil Nas X

OHMYGOSSIP — Billy Ray Cyrus was gifted his very own Maserati sports car by Lil Nas X to celebrate the success of their hit song ‘Old Town Road’.
The country music legend was surprised when the viral rapper drove up to his house in the shiny new whip, which the 57-year-old star just so happens to sing about in their song, with the line: “Baby’s got a habit: diamond rings and Fendi sports bras. Ridin’ down Rodeo with my Maserati sports car.”
Lil Nas – whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill – recorded a video of himself driving up to Billy’s driveway and said it was a present for their collaboration spending seven consecutive weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
In the clip, the 20-year-old star says: “We’re about to pull up on Billy Ray Cyrus’ crib and I’m ‘Postmating’ him a gift.
“We’re going to see what that is pretty soon.”
Billy is then seen opening the door and is completely startled.
He says: “What are you doing?”
He then walks Miley Cyrus’ dad out to the Maserati, and says: “‘Old Town Road’ [is] number one [for] seven weeks.”
A shocked Billy responds: “Are you kidding me? Are you serious?”
He then jumps in the car and laughs: “Whoah, we may not come back, man. Holy smokes!”
Billy also captioned a snap of the pair sitting on the bonnet of the plush motor: “Driving down Rodeo in MY Maserati sports car! @lilnasx (sic)”

Diplo and Charli XCX’s spin on Spice Girls hit Wannabe leaked

OHMYGOSSIP — Diplo and Charli XCX’s re-worked version of Spice Girls hit ‘Wannabe’ has been leaked online.
The girl group – now made up of Geri Horner, Emma Bunton, Mel B and Mel C, after Victoria Beckham decided against joining their reunion – gave their blessing for one of their biggest tracks to be sampled on the song ‘Spicy’ to aid their comeback, but they have fallen victim to hackers who shared the song early.
However, an insider says the song, which is sung by ‘1999’ hitmaker Charli and was produced by EDM newcomer Herve Pagez, is still going to be “huge” with an epic music video set to follow its release.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “This song has been years in the making. It’s really disappointing that it’s been leaked at the last minute.
“But people who have heard it seem to be loving it, which is promising ahead of its release.
“Charli sings the verses and the chorus has been mashed up and turned on its head for a really cool dance song.
“It’s got an incredible video, which will be out next week.
“Sadly the Spice Girls themselves aren’t in it, but it’s going to be huge.”
The ‘Viva Forever’ hitmakers are said to be “excited” about the collaboration.
A source said previously: “The girls gave their approval after hearing it and are all excited about its release.”
It’s not the first time the Spice Girls have suffered a song hack.
In 2016, Geri, Emma and Mel B reunited in the studio to pen ‘Song For Her’, but that was leaked too.
Speaking at the time, Emma said: “We wrote something and it got leaked and it got stolen which is not great, but we’ve had nice feedback.”
Meanwhile, Emma – who is nicknamed Baby Spice – previously hinted that she and her bandmates could start writing new material while they are on their reunion tour, which begins on Friday (24.05.19) in Dublin, Ireland.
She said: “We haven’t started writing or anything like that and it would have to be organic.
“So we’ll have to see. After the tour maybe, or during the tour I think, especially with us girls. We’re always like, ‘What’s next?’ So it could happen. Who knows?”

Rita Ora is inspired by Beyonce

OHMYGOSSIP — Rita Ora’s live show is inspired by Beyonce.
The ‘Let You Love Me’ hitmaker admitted she is a perfectionist, and she wants preparation for her upcoming tour dates to hit the standards reached by the ‘Crazy In Love’ singer in the Netflix documentary ‘Homecoming’, which looked at the build-up to her Coachella festival performances last summer.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column, she said: “I put so much pressure on myself. The statistics are great but I want my performances to be up to par with the music that I have been putting out.
“I will always find something to fix, even if everyone else is saying, ‘This is done’. It depends on how much time you want to put into your show.
“The Beyonce Netflix show is the real deal. It reveals what it takes to put a show together. When I watched that, I completely got it.”
Meanwhile, 28-year-old singer Rita – who has also explored opportunities in acting, fashion and modelling – insisted she is still a “musician”, but explained she wants her career to be “sustainable”.
She added: “In the time I’ve been in the business, about ten years now, I’ve seen plenty of people come and go. For me, the most important thing is making this sustainable.
“I do love music, don’t get me wrong. I’m a musician and it’s how I got into this whole game. But I’ve always looked at myself as a businesswoman as well as an entertainer.”
Rita also opened up on social media, and admitted it has had a big impact on the industry over the last seven years.
She said: “It’s so in your face now, everyone is so, I won’t say they’re spoilt, but they’ve already seen a lot. The expectations are way higher.”

Rihanna wouldn’t say no to Lady Gaga collaboration

OHMYGOSSIP — Rihanna would be up for collaborating with Lady Gaga.
The ‘Wild Thoughts’ hitmaker is currently working on a reggae album – which will act as her long-awaited follow-up to 2016’s ‘ANTI’ – and she has shot down rumours she has songs with the ‘Million Reasons’ singer and her former flame Drake on the new record.
However, she said she wouldn’t be “against” teaming up with ‘A Star Is Born’ star.
Speaking in an interview with T, The New York Times Style Magazine, she replied: “Maybe because she [Gaga] followed me on Instagram. It’s not in the books right now, but I’m not against it.”
Rihanna dated ‘God’s Plan’ hitmaker Drake on/off between 2009 and 2016, and the pair have released four songs together; 2016’s ‘Work’ and ‘Too Good’, 2011’s ‘Take Care’ and 2010’s What’s My Name’.

The ‘California King Bed’ singer also admitted that her new album is likely to be called ‘R9′ because her fans – who she nicknamed the Navy – have been persistently asking her “when is R9 coming out”.
She said: “So far it’s just been R9, thanks to the Navy.
“I’m about to call it that probably, ’cause they have haunted me with this ‘R9, R9, when is R9 coming out?’ How will I accept another name after that’s been burned into my skull?”
The Bajan star gave a friend’s baby the “first listen” of her eagerly-awaited LP earlier this year.
The singer took to Instagram in March to to tease her followers with a picture of her close pal Jennifer Rosales’ little boy Joshua sat on the mixing desk with ear defenders on.
Alongside the studio snap, Rihanna wrote: “Thank you @jennnrosales and @the_aa for blessing my day a lil mo (sic).”
His mom Jennifer added: “When tia @badgalriri gives you the first listen. #newmusic (sic)”

Ariana Grande provides vocals on Social House’s new song Haunt You

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariana Grande has laid down her vocals on her ‘Thank U, Next’ producers Social House’s new track ‘Haunt You’.
The duo – comprised of Michael Foster and Charles Anderson – also worked on ‘7 Rings’ for the 25-year-old pop superstar’s 2018 album, as well as the titular track, and now she has returned the favour by appearing on their new song.
The track, about insecurities in relationships, was debuted on Apple’s Beats 1 radio on Monday night (20.05.19).
Travis said: “It’s probably our most meaningful song.
“We themed our EP and our album off a relationship and it has a hint of the issues that go on in the relationship like sometimes your insecurities… how you may have something beautiful and this amazing thing or person that you love but sometimes you feel insecure because you might not be good enough, you might want to be better for them.”
Asked if it will feature the ‘No Tears Left to Cry’ hitmaker, they teased: “We can’t really say yet. There is a huge possibility that you will hear Ariana’s vocals on our album.”
Ariana was shown in a video from a “haunted hotel” recording with the pair.
In a clip, they said: “We are currently recording in a haunted hotel in San Antonio.”
The ‘Dangerous Woman’ singer, who could be seen in the background, said: “Hello! It’s Ariana Grande, we are recording vocals in a haunted hotel room.”
Meanwhile, Ariana – who is currently on her ‘Sweetener World Tour’ – hung out with BTS member Jungkook at her show in Los Angeles earlier this month.
The ‘God is a Woman’ hitmaker shared a picture of herself with the K-pop star on Instagram after she was left “screaming” in excitement when he attended her show.
She wrote alongside the image of the pair: “screaming. thank u soooooo much for coming to my show, Jungkook. it meant so much. love u sm (sic)”
Ariana’s sweet message came after Jungkook, 21, also shared his joy at being able to attend the concert, after he posted a picture of himself holding merchandise from the show.
He wrote in English alongside the picture: “I felt and learned a lot after seeing her stage. I am really challenged by her stage and will try harder! #ArianaGrande (sic)”
And fans have already begun to speculate that the new friendship between the pair could open up doors for a possible collaboration in the future, as BTS – comprised of Jungkook alongside RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, and V – have already enjoyed successful collaborative efforts with the likes of Halsey, Ed Sheeran, Steve Aoki, and Nicki Minaj.
Most recently, the group teamed up with Halsey for their chart-topping single ‘Boy With Luv’, and with Ed Sheeran on ‘Make It Right’, both of which appeared on their album ‘Map of the Soul: Persona’, which was released last month.

Rita Ora teases new album is coming soon

OHMYGOSSIP — Rita Ora is planning to release her third album by the end of the year or “beginning” of 2020.
The ‘Let You Love Me’ hitmaker’s second record ‘Phoenix’, the long-awaited follow-up to her 2012 debut LP ‘Ora’, was plagued with delays after she split from Jay-Z’s record label Roc Nation in 2016, because she was “blocked” from releasing new music.
Rita finally got to unleash ‘Phoenix’ last November, on Atlantic Records, and she has had a rush of creativity ever since and has vowed to release “as much music” as possible for her fans.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column, she spilled: “My label will probably kill me but I’m working on new music and I want to put out a new record at the end of this year or the beginning of next year.
“Everyone will be like, ‘What the f***,’ but I genuinely think we will do it.
“All the years I’ve been trying to put this album out, I need to keep flooding.
“Let the rivers flow because they have been blocked for so long.
“This album took so long for me to fight for to get it out, so now it’s out I just want to keep putting out as much music as I can.”
The ‘Detective Pikachu’ star previously admitted she went through a “rollercoaster of emotions” after going her separate ways from Roc Nation.
She said: “I had a bit of an issue, publicly, with putting out music which got me really, really, kind of devastated, and I was really down, and then I was really angry, and then I was really frustrated, and then I was really happy that it was happening … It was all these emotions, so my album is definitely a rollercoaster of emotions … I’m still crazy, like, I still love to go out and party. Everyone who knows me knows that I love to have a good time, but I wanted this album to also be [something] you could put on and vibe with your friends. There’s a lot of ups and downs, but I’m very, very proud of it.”

Spice Girls wrap production rehearsals 3 days before tour

OHMYGOSSIP — The Spice Girls have wrapped their production rehearsals three days before they embark on their reunion tour.
The ‘Wannabe’ hitmakers – Geri Horner, Mel B, Mel C and Emma Bunton – will kick off their extensive run at Dublin’s Croke Park on Friday (21.05.19), and the band have taken to Instagram to share images of the ‘Spice World’ themed stage.
Alongside a picture taken by the tour’s photographer Andrew Timms showing off the epic lighting design by Tim Routledge – who has worked on concerts for Beyonce, Sam Smith, Take That and Steps in the past – and the set design and art direction by Jason Sherwood and Kate Moross respectively, they wrote: “Spice World production rehearsals done! Geri recently told Spice Girls critics to “f**k off” and insisted everyone is excited for their reunion tour.
The 46-year-old star hit back at claims of a rift between the iconic girl group – who will tour without bandmate Victoria Beckham, who opted of the shows – and said they are all looking forward to being back on stage together.
She said: “You think, ‘oh f**k off!’… Our relationship is really good. We’ve all been really positive, so it’s nice. It’s natural. I’m really happy, everyone’s happy.”
Although the feeling in the camp is a positive one, Geri claimed it is “human nature” for people to speculate on people focusing on the negatives within the band, but she added that the buildup to the tour feels like a dream.
She added: “It’s human nature. I try and focus on what’s important now. Let’s enjoy what we have now, what’s real and what’s important.
“It’s all fine so I feel lucky. We keep on pinching ourselves because we’re trying to enjoy the journey.”
Her comments came after reports that Mel B was rushed to hospital rushed to hospital on Friday (17.05.19) after losing her sight.
The ‘Wannabe’ hitmaker – who had no vision in her left eye after laser surgery went wrong – was rushed to London’s Moorfield Eye Hospital after she was suddenly unable to see out of her right eye.
Mel arrived at the specialist facility wearing an eye patch and reportedly said: “I can’t see anything – I am totally blind.”
A source added: “She was clearly in a lot of pain.”
The 43-year-old star was later transferred to Luton and Dunstable Hospital’s ophthalmology department and once her vision returned, she defied doctors orders to rejoin her bandmates at tour rehearsals.
Mel underwent “very swift and very good” care and although she will still require medication and further intensive treatment, likely to include more trips to hospital, she is on the mend.
