OHMYGOSSIP — Skepta hopes his music gives a “voice to the voiceless”.
The Grime king has opened up about being a role model and admitted he can’t stand it when “black artists and entertainers” obtain a certain level of fame and forget about their fans.
Speaking in a rare interview with Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard on ‘Good Morning Britain’, he admitted: “I feel like a lot of black artists and entertainers, when they reach a certain point like in showbiz, they just turn like a bit … they don’t really care anymore.
“They just go off and do what they’re doing. And I don’t really like that stuff.”
The ‘Greaze Mode’ rapper – who politely opted out of promoting his latest album ‘Ignorance is Bliss’ so the early morning show could cut to their D-Day Services coverage – continued: “But my music in general, I want it to help, and just give people a voice, because that’s ultimately what we don’t have when we’re young.
“That’s why people sometimes we’re not interested in politics or we’re not interested in talking about anything because we just think what are we talking for.”
The politically-aware rapper hopes to the lead the way when it comes to inspiring the next generation to speak up and take action for their future.
He added: “I really want to be a voice that sparks change.
“A lot of these youngsters of today they’re going to be the new MPs and police officers … and everything that goes on in the world that we live in today on today.”
The 36-year-old star – whose real name is Joseph Junior Adenuga Jr. – also credited the Grime scene and music in general for getting youths out of trouble after Susanna noted the “extraordinary level of violent crime on the streets in London”.
He said: “I think that music is what’s changing it.
“A lot of people who could be doing bad stuff… they’re getting into music, whether it’s grime, drill, and they’re doing well.
“And that’s what’s like changing their lives and they have an actual voice rather than being voiceless like they were before.”
The MC admitted that he himself felt “voiceless and angry” as a teenager before finding solace in music.
He added: “When I was younger, I felt voiceless and felt like angry towards everything going on. “Because really and truly it’s music that’s saving everybody now.”

OHMYGOSSIP — The Who have announced ‘The Who @ 52’ pop-up to celebrate the 50th anniversary of iconic rock opera LP ‘Tommy’ and their return to Wembley Stadium after 40 years.
Fans of the ‘My Generation’ hitmakers will get the chance to purchase exclusive merchandise, including one-off ‘Pinball Wizard’ 7″ Single only available at the shop in London’s Soho on June 14 and June 15.
There will also be a Double A-Side edition pressed on blue 7″ with alternate single covers from 1969 and a brand new version released this year.
Plus there will be CD and Vinyl copies of ‘Tommy Orchestral’ including limited copies signed by frontman Roger Daltrey.
A collection of rare archive memorabilia and installations will also be on display and perhaps the most exciting feature, a
Tommy Pinball Wizard challenge – a full size retro pinball machine for visitors to compete against each other on.
On July 6, the band will bring their ‘Moving On!’ show to Wembley Stadium accompanied by an orchestra, with special guest Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam and support from Kaiser Chiefs, Imelda May and Connor Selby.
On June 14, The Who’s ‘Tommy Orchestral’ anniversary record will be released.
Daltrey toured the LP in full with his band and local orchestras across America last summer, and now they are set to release the record featuring the timeless music of guitarist Pete Townshend.
The new orchestration featured on the classic record was directed by renowned composer and arranger David Campbell – who has worked with music royalty including Adele, Radiohead, Bob Dylan, Metallica, Carole King and his son Beck.
‘Tommy’ was recorded live between Bethel in upstate New York – the home of the first Woodstock Festival – and Budapest, five decades ago, and was produced by frontman Roger and Keith Levenson, who worked on the ‘Tommy Musical’.
Roger’s live band is comprised of Pete’s younger brother, guitarist-and-vocalist Simon Townshend, Frank Simes (guitar), Scott Devours (drums), Jon Button (bass), and Loren Gold (keys).
Roger recently heaped praise on bandmate Pete’s music for standing the test of time and said the tracks – which include ‘Pinball Wizard’ and ‘Overture’ – are complimented greatly by the orchestra.
The 75-year-old music legend also revealed that every time he performs the songs – which Pete composed as a rock opera that tells the story about a “deaf, dumb and blind boy” – live, he does it as though “it’s the first time” he’s sung them.
He said: “Pete’s music is particularly suited to being embellished by the sounds that an orchestra can add to the band.
“‘Tommy’ can mean whatever you want it to mean, I use the characters in it as metaphors for parts of the human condition, so it’s a kind of a story of the human spirit. Even though it is 50 years on, I approach it as though I’m singing it for the first time.”
‘The Who @ 52’ will be open Friday 14 and Saturday 15 June from 10am to 6pm, at 52 Brewer Street, Soho, London W1F 9TQ.

OHMYGOSSIP — Carrie Underwood continues her reign as the most-awarded artist in CMT Music Awards history as she collected two more gongs on Wednesday night (05.06.19).
The 36-year-old star took home Female Video of The Year for ‘Love Wins’ and the prestigious Video of the Year for ‘Cry Pretty’, taking her CMT prize total to 20.
Not only was it a double celebration awards-wise, but Carrie’s husband Mike Fisher was celebrating his 39th birthday.
During her acceptance speech for Female Video of The Year – which saw her beat off stiff competition from Brandi Carlile (‘The Joke’), Carly Pearce (‘Closer To You’), Kacey Musgraves (‘Space Cowboy’), Kelsea Ballerini (‘Miss Me More’), Maren Morris (‘GIRL’) and Miranda Lambert (‘Keeper of the Flame’) – Carrie told the audience at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee: “It is my husband’s birthday today.Look what they got you. Thank you so much. God bless you guys.”
The ‘American Idol’ winner also performed her new single ‘Southbound’ at The Parthenon in Centennial Park in the music city.
Other big winners on the night included Keith Urban and Julia Michaels, whose hit ‘Coming Home’ was named Best Collaborative Video of the Year, Kane Brown, who went home with Male Video of the Year for ‘Lose It’ and the Zac Brown Band picked up Group Video of the Year for ‘Someone I Used To Know’.
The Atlanta group used their time on the podium to tell their “haters to f*** off!”
In an impassioned speech, which saw him swear live on TV as the censor bleepers failed, Zac said: “For you young artists, have courage to stand up against the machine … and one day, you can stand up here and tell all the haters to f*** off!”
Elsewhere, Luke Combs and Leon Bridges’ ‘Beautiful Crazy’ performance from ‘CMT Crossroads’ beat the likes of Boyz II Men, Gladys Knight and Shawn Mendes to be crowned CMT Performance of the Year, and Dan + Shay scooped Duo Video of the Year for ‘Speechless’.
The evening also saw icon Sheryl Crow and Maren Morris duet on their song ‘Prove You Wrong’.
Whilst Little Big Town, who hosted the ceremony, opened with a group performance with Trombone Shorty and Thomas Rhett of ‘Don’t Threaten Me With a Good Time’.
Kane Brown then sang ‘Short Skirt Weather’ from outside of the arena.

OHMYGOSSIP — Carl Barat says The Libertines have started working on their fourth studio album.
The band’s guitarist has revealed the group have put “dates in [their] studio diary” for their next record – a follow-up to 2015 album ‘Anthems for Doomed Youth’ – and the band have already started putting together some lyrics for new tunes.
He said: “We’ve been down and done a few writing sessions already.”
The Libertines – also made up of Pete Doherty, John Hassall, Gary Powell – are also planning to change their tactics when making their new album, with Carl admitting they will be “a bit less control freak” about the new record.
Speaking on music show ‘Red Stripe Presents: This Feeling TV’, he added: “But we’re going to sort of bed in and do something a bit less control freak this time, rather doing lots and compiling and seeing what’s working and what isn’t.
“But there will be quite a few stories around the corner I think.”
Carl recently admitted he has to lock himself away when trying to write new music for the band, because he “can’t work under the pressure” of trying to pen a huge hit.
He said: “I tend to lock myself away in my little bunker as I can be lazy, I can’t work under the pressure of thinking I need to write a f***ing hit.
“I’ve got a lot of ideas for this album.
“Ones which I need to chat about with the boys.”
What’s more, last week, Carl made a “desperate” appeal for musicians for a mystery project.
He took to Instagram in his search for a “male bassist, male guitarist, male drummer and a frontman” for a new project called The Heartless.
The 41-year-old star shared a poster which he described as a “casting call”, and he stated the band members “must be able to play and act”.
The post, which was also shared on The Libertines’ social media platforms, features Carl wearing a pair of sunglasses, and also encourages potential candidates to email TheHeartlessPeople@gmail.com if they think they have the suitable credentials.

OHMYGOSSIP — Craig David wants to duet with Beyonce.
The ‘7 Days’ hitmaker has been a huge fan of the former Destiny’s Child singer since he was young and the “Queen of pop music” is at the top of his list for a dream collaboration.
Asked on Australia’s ‘Today’ who he’d most like to work with, the 38-year-old star said: “I would still have to say Beyoncé! It would be amazing because it’s someone I have grown up watching.
“From Destiny’s Child and what that represented as a group, to go off and do her own solo stuff, to see her grow into the Queen of Pop music…”
The ‘Walking Away’ star’s wish comes as he releases a new track, ‘When You Know What Love Is’, and Craig has previously spoken about how excited he is for fans to hear his latest studio recordings.
He said recently: ”It feels amazing to share what I’ve been working on! I can’t wait for you all to hear it! This track came about so naturally and it’s all about the initial undeniable spark you get when something feels right – wanting to hold on to that feeling and seeing how it can develop.”
The single’s arrival comes ahead of a mammoth summer for the star, which will see him return to his Ibiza Rocks Hotel residency for a fourth season between July 9 and September 24, whilst also curating his own stage at SW4 on August 24, where he will be joined by special guests including Basement Jaxx, Mabel, Big Zuu, Yungen, Nathan Dawe, Jax Jones, Martin Solveig and Sigma.
Craig’s SW4 stage will be an embodiment of his critically acclaimed TS5 shows, which began as exclusive pre-parties in Miami and were hosted in his penthouse home, Tower Suite 5.

OHMYGOSSIP — The Libertines have been accepted by the community since buying a hotel in Margate.
The ‘Can’t Stand Me Now’ group’s bassist Carl Barat and frontman Pete Doherty announced plans for their hotel/recording space, The Albion Rooms, last year and Carl has now revealed that the pair have been getting on “great” with locals in the Kent seaside town and have been working with various residents of the area on their venture.
Speaking on ‘Red Stripe Presents: This Feeling TV’ he said: “They’ve [Margate locals] been great actually.
“We’ve been using local labourers, architects and what not and I’ve met this designer, Leanne, she’s a local girl and she’s really good! I think she’s going to be responsible for the final touches.”
The 41-year-old rocker has met an “exodus of artists” who have made the move from London to Kent, as it’s a “great community” and he feels “everything is priced out now”.
He said: “Yeah, I think that at times and I meet loads of people down there a bit like me.
“But yeah, I mean there’s been a tangible exodus of artists [from London].
“I meet people every week moving down there, people that are creatively minded and having a community where everything is possible a bit like what it was like in London in the noughties. Everything is priced out now.
“There’s a great community down there. I really want the Albion rooms to have that kind of spirit to it and I want to do something when it’s up and running a bit like – you know Josh Homme [from Queens of the Stone Age] did the desert sessions? I want to do something like that down there. ”

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Chaplin says “slick” Coldplay showed Keane how “it could be done”.
The ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ hitmaker – who is joined by Tim Rice-Oxley, Richard Hughes and Jesse Quin in group – has admitted they didn’t have high expectations when they started out in the late-90s as a band from “Battle in East Sussex” in England, but watching Chris Martin’s band get played on the radio and go on to achieve global success rubbed off on them and the singer is grateful to the ‘Yellow’ hitmakers for taking them out on the road.
In an interview with The Times newspaper, Tom said: “Coldplay were the example.
“Compared to us they were slick. Chris was charismatic. And we’re from Battle in East Sussex. No band comes from East Sussex. But Tim and Chris had been at university together [UCL in London], we were doing gigs with Coldplay, and suddenly they were on the radio. We saw it could be done.”
Keane disbanded in 2013, a year after releasing their fourth studio LP ‘Strangeland’.
At the beginning of 2019, the group decided to reunite and frontman Tom recently admitted they needed that time apart because he hadn’t fully overcome his addiction to cocaine, a problem he first went to rehab for in 2006.
Keane will release their first album in seven years, ‘Cause and Effect’, on September 20, and Tom has admitted he feels “tentative” and wants to take everything “one step at a time”.
He said: “We had an incredible bond, we had success; external forces pulled us apart.
“Now we’re back. I feel tentative, but we’re taking it one step at a time. We’ll do an album and a bit of touring. That is all we are expecting.”
Opening up recently about their split, Tom said: “It was probably mostly my fault. Back in 2012/13 I wanted to do something else with my life for a bit.
“I felt creatively I wanted to write and needed space and time to do that. The other thing was, unconsciously, I needed time to finish off my addictive behaviour.”
The ‘Bedshaped’ singer also said that this time round they are not going to be so self-deprecating about their talents as a band and be more confident about their place in the music business.
He said: “We live in a bubble of self-deprecation and over the years we probably haven’t done ourselves proud by slagging ourselves off.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Fielding says pal Serge Pizzorno’s S.L.P. solo album is “quite sexy” and the perfect soundtrack for making love to.
The Mighty Boosh comic and the Kasabian guitarist have been close friends for years and Noel has teased that there could be a few babies made when fans get their ears around the racy tunes on his ‘The S.L.P.’ album.
Noel conducted a Q&A with Serge, and said: “It is quite sexy, I thought it was pretty sexy anyway.”
The songwriter – who released the lead single ‘Favourites’ featuring rapper Little Simz last month – also hinted he could make a movie soundtrack.
The comedian then asked Serge: “Have you done any film soundtracks or are you keeping that in your back pocket for when Tom’s [Meighan, Kasabian frontman] in rehab?”
To which he replied: “Yeah I did it once a few years ago but I didn’t really know what I was doing … But I do love films.”
The ‘Processed Beats’ hitmaker also heaped praise on his bandmates for being “supportive” of his side project.
He told the ‘Great British Bake Off’ co-host: “I had three tracks which I really liked as the beginning, middle and end of a record – and it just got me thinking if I could fill in the gaps there was potentially something great there to be done.
“It’s very different to the stuff I’ve done with the band, but they were really supportive of me doing it. I just had a window while we had some time off and thought I’d try experimenting.”
Serge previously revealed that ‘Favourites’ is inspired by dating apps.
The rocker explored the “identity crisis” people face when they present a different personality on sites like Tinder and Bumble and want to “escape” the persona they’ve created when they go on a real-life date.
He explained: “”Favourites” is about identity in the digital age. I was interested in how online dating is a sort of snapshot of this identity crisis. Through the speed and structure of the song, I wanted to capture the feeling of the real you inside your head trying to get out and escape during a first date.
“It’s a dialogue between two people who are coming to terms with their true selves through their digital interaction becoming a physical one.”
The ‘Shoot the Runner’ hitmaker also shared how he knew he wanted to get Simz on the track from the start, as he’s always had a desire to work with a rapper.
He added: ‘I’ve always wanted to make music with hip hop or grime artists.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ABBA’s new music will be released “eventually”.
The ‘Dancing Queen’ hitmakers haven’t made a studio LP since 1981’s ‘The Visitors’ but Bjorn Ulvaeus and the other three members – Agnetha Faltskog, Benny Andersson and Frida Lyngstad – have recorded two brand new tracks, one of which is titled ‘I Still Have Faith In You’, for an upcoming BBC documentary, and the other ‘Don’t Shut Me Down’.
It was previously reported that the songs could be released by summer, but that is unlikely with Bjorn unsure himself when they will emerge.
Speaking to Richard Allinson in an upcoming interview on Magic Radio, he said: “Yeah, yes there will be a new song, a couple of new songs coming. But I’ve been saying this for such a long time … I’m not saying when anymore. I’m just saying we have them and they will be released eventually.”
The songs are “finished” though, and the 74-year-old Swedish icon explained how they try to “emulate The Beatles” when it comes to getting every part of the song perfect.
Asked when he knows a track is complete, he said: “It is when you feel that every note is where it should be and I don’t mean just the chorus.
“Some people give up when they have a great chorus, they think the verse is not that important.
“But we never worked that way.
“We try to emulate The Beatles in that respect that every part of the song is important, every instrumental, every little backing vocal, every note is important.
“So, that’s how we worked and then its instinct you know, that, yes this is it, you just know.”
ABBA were one of the most commercially successful acts in pop music, topping the charts worldwide from 1974 to 1982, but Bjorn admitted “you never know” when you are onto a hit.
He said: “The thing is you never know. I mean in our heyday we kind of knew the next single would be played and so forth, but we never knew if it was going to reach number one, if people would like it. It’s easy to forget that there is a before, and in the ‘before’ you don’t know. You take a risk and that’s what I still do.”
ABBA’s music has featured in two blockbuster musical movies, 2008’s ‘Mamma! Mia’ and last year’s ‘ Mamma! Mia: Here We Go Again’, and, although Bjorn doubts there will be a third film, he wouldn’t rule out doing something for Amazon Prime or Netflix.
He said: “We don’t have any plans but it’s an interesting arena and I wouldn’t be surprised if someone you know suddenly turned up having a great idea for that arena as well. But it hasn’t happened yet.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Feeder have added two more dates to their UK tour due to demand.
The ‘Just A Day’ hitmakers has experienced somewhat of a resurgence since the release of their top 10 ‘The Best of Feeder’ album in 2017, and their popularity continues to rise as Grant Nicholas and co have extended their November run, in support of their new album ‘Tallulah’ – which is released on August 9 – with two more shows set to take place at Manchester Albert Hall and London Roundhouse on November 17 and November 23 respectively.
The autumn shows kick off in Portsmouth on November 1 and wrap will now wrap with two consecutive nights at London’s Roundhouse staring on November 22.
The duo also support Robbie Williams at British Summer Time Hyde Park on July 14.
Tickets for the two extra dates are on sale now.
‘Tallulah’ sees frontman Grant ponder how different it is being in a band in the “social media age”.
The tracks are written from the perspective of a “female rock star”, although the lyrical content is based on his own experiences.
Speaking about the concept for the record, Grant – who formed Feeder in 1994, with long-time bandmate Taka Hirose – said: “Everybody in music who has some success has a fear of the bubble bursting.
“A lot of things that come with success aren’t always positive.
“I wrote it with a female rock star in mind, but it was based upon my own experiences of being in a band, and what you see when you’re hanging out with other bands.
“It also touches on being a band in the social media age.
“It’s not just about being reviewed by a certain magazine anymore, it’s about being reviewed by virtually anyone who wants to do so.
“It’s a whole different world out there for everyone, of any age.”
The Welsh rockers have released the lead single ‘Fear of Flying’ and ‘Youth’ from the 12-track LP, which is “classic Feeder” but “stripped-back”.
Grant said: “It’s a classic Feeder record.
“I just write the songs which feel natural to me, and I have a vision of each of them in my mind like a short film.
“I wanted to make a lot of the songs really adaptable. “I didn’t want them to have be massively produced, I wanted them to also work in a stripped-back way.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher wanted to “break” brother Noel Gallagher’s “f****** jaw” after he refused to let him use Oasis music in his documentary ‘As It Was’.
The ‘Shockwave’ singer previously claimed Noel was trying to “sue him” over the use of clips of Oasis songs within the movie, and now he has hit out at his former bandmate and his “little people” for banning him from adding his own band’s songs to flick.
The 46-year-old rocker – who has been at loggerheads with Noel, 51, for years after a backstage bust-up between the brothers at their concert in Paris in 2009, which led to the demise of the Britpop group – insisted he’s not “sad” and didn’t “cry” over it, but he was left fuming and felt like smashing the ‘Wonderwall’ songwriter and his manager’s windows in when he found out.
Speaking to Sky News at the premiere of ‘As It Was’ at London’s Alexander Palace Theatre on Thursday night (06.06.19), he fumed: “Him and his little people saw it and took the Oasis music out of it because that’s all he’s got left, d’ya know what I mean. Let him get on with it.
“It doesn’t make me sad, it makes me f****** mad. I’m not a p****, I’m not sad about it, I want to break his f****** jaw and his daft f****** manager, but that’s what happens. I’m not sad about it, I didn’t go home and cry, I just wanted to go and f****** put their windows through.”
The documentary – helmed by Charlie Lightening – shows a softer side to the rock star who is alway spouting off on Twitter, and Liam admitted that an endless supply of drugs and fame wasn’t why he joined a band in the first place.
He said: “I didn’t join a band to f****** be a dick. I was doing drugs before I got in a band so I’m not one of them that go, ‘I’m in a band now so let’s have a line of speed’ or whatever, I was doing that sh*t when I was 15, so it was all f******* old hat by the time I got in it.
“The drugs just got a bit better, the clothes got better and you got to see the world.”
The ‘Wall of Glass’ singer has calmed down a lot in recent times – as he explains in the movie, he would rather take in the places he visits across the world than go boozing until the early hours – and he has adopted a healthier lifestyle as he wakes up in the early hours to go for a jog every day.
He said: “At the moment I’m happier doing what I’m doing but if I want to go and get off me box I’ll do it.
“Cos no one can stop me.”
In February, Liam claimed Noel was threatening to take legal action over use of their songs.
He wrote: “Ive just been informed that I’ll be sued by the not so mighty little fella and his goons at ignition if I use any footage of me singing oasis yes oasis songs in AS IT WAS who’s bitter now eh ps Dya want a hand selling those tickets AS YOU WERE LG x (sic)”
And he later claimed it was footage of Liam’s performance at the One Love Manchester benefit concert – which was held following the Manchester terror attack at an Ariana Grande concert in 2017 – that Noel had an issue with.

The documentary focuses on Liam’s journey from “boredom, booze and legal battles” to solo star with the release of his debut solo LP ‘As You Were’ and subsequent sold-out global concerts and is out now.

OHMYGOSSIP — A previously lost song featuring the vocals of the late great Freddie Mercury is to be released.
‘Time Waits For No One’ was penned for West End show ‘Time in 1986 by musician Dave Clark.
However, the Queen frontman – who passed away from complications with AIDS at the age of 45 in 1991 – had recorded his own take on the ballad, which had been lost for a decade until recently.
Clark, a member of the 60s group Dave Clark Five, told Britain’s The I newspaper: “The version rehearsed at Abbey Road was just Freddie with a piano. It was magic and it gave me goosebumps.
“The produced version ended up with 48 vocal tracks. It took me years to track down the original master tape of just Freddie singing.”
The song – which is described as one of the ‘We Will Rock You’ singer’s finest vocal performances – is set for release on June 21 via Virgin/EMI and will be accompanied with a video of Freddie talking about working on the song filmed at London’s Dominion Theatre.
This isn’t the only unheard music from Freddie, as it was previously revealed that Queen has unreleased tracks with David Bowie laying around.
Peter Hince, the band’s former roadie, was travelling with the British rock legends when they collaborated with the late music legend – who passed away in January last year after a secret battle with cancer – on ‘Under Pressure’ in 1981.
In his new tome, ‘David Bowie: I Was There’, he said they had done much more together than the one song.
In an excerpt, he wrote: “They … performed some original songs they did together , and also covers. They were just jamming in the studio, and it all got recorded – ‘All The Young Dudes’, ‘All The Way From Memphis’ and various rock classics.”
Speaking to the publication, Peter teased there are some real gems of the icons duetting.
He said: “There’s stuff with Freddie and David singing together – proper full-length rock ‘n’ roll tracks. Raw, but good.”
Although Queen’s management declined to comment on the tracks, the group’s guitarist Brian May recently said the famous pair “locked horns” during the recording of ‘Under Pressure’, the biggest hit from 1982 LP ‘Hot Space’.
The ‘We Will Rock You’ hitmaker said he tries to focus only on the “wonderful” memories he has of that time, and revealed there is still music that hasn’t “come to light” yet.
He said: “It wasn’t easy because we were all precocious boys and David was very… forceful, yes.
“Freddie and David locked horns, without a doubt. But those are the things that happen in a studio, that’s when the sparks fly and that’s why it turned out so great.
“[They locked horns] in subtle ways, like who would arrive last at the studio. So it was sort of wonderful and terrible. But in my mind, I remember the wonderful now, more than the terrible.
“And not all of what we did in those sessions has ever come to light, so there’s a thought…”

OHMYGOSSIP — Madonna is a perfectionist.
The 60-year-old pop icon recently worked with Mykki Blanco on her latest video ‘Dark Ballet’, where she cast him as legendary French heroine Joan of Arc, and Blanco says Madonna was invested in every aspect of the production.
He told Billboard: “She’s so invested in every detail of what she does, and when someone’s been doing this for 30 years, especially a pop icon like her, I guess you would expect that. Intention is very important to her, that’s what I took away.”
He revealed that Madonna was completely hands-on and even took over a choreography rehearsal during the sheet.
Blanco explained: “Within an hour and a half, we had new choreography directly from Madonna. Madonna’s a hell of a dancer.”
And while the video is unusual, Blanco insisted that Madonna was not just going for shock value but she had a “deeper intention”.
He said: “We don’t just shoot something or move or flail our arms just for the hell of it. There’s always a deeper, inner intention.”
Blanco also praised Madonna for helping and encouraging other creatives, including him.
He explained: “For her to reach her hand out and lift me up creatively to her level … that does mean something to me. This project has exposed me to an audience that might not have been within my reach.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Muna had “imposter syndrome” when touring with Harry Styles.
The queer-identifying emo-pop trio Muna, Katie Gavin, Josette Maskin and Naomi McPherson, supported One Direction star Harry on his 2017 solo tour and admitted the experience was surreal.
Naomi told The Guardian: “That was the height of imposter syndrome, like: ‘Harry Styles is in my green room, what is going on?’ Just full body disassociation.”
The group also praised Harry for subverting gender stereotypes and addressed criticism where he has been accused of “gay-baiting”.
Josette said: “If it gets absorbed then at least its in there. I would rather different performances of gender or different performances of sexuality be normalised. Growing up and feeling different was not a very pleasant experience and at least [now] kids can grow up thinking: ‘It’s OK to be whatever I am’.
“I can be gay as f**k and really do anything I want and exist and have a life where I can love and be happy. Things will get better because we will continue to push forward and we’re resilient. We’re here, we’re queer.”
In an interview with The Face, the group also praised Harry for choosing a “queer girl band” to open for him on tour.
Josette said: “In the position that he’s in, he can’t really say a lot, but you know, he chose a queer girl band to open for him. I think that speaks volumes.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Halsey has announced a one-off show in London on Monday (10.06.19).
The ‘Nightmare’ singer will play an intimate set at Camden’s Electric Ballroom – which has a capacity of just 1,500 – with tickets on sale Wednesday (05.06.19) at 5pm.
The pop star wrote on Twitter: “London you know I wouldn’t come here without a few tricks up my sleeve….
“See you for one night only, June 10th, for an intimate show at the electric ballroom. tix on sale 5pm tomorrow, June 5. http://iamhalsey.com (sic)”
The ‘Without You’ hitmaker is dating British musician Yungblud, and the pair have been surprising audiences with a performance of their hit song ’11 Minutes’ – which features Blink-182’s Travis Barker – and the Doncaster rocker has a gap in his touring schedule, which could mean he’ll join Halsey at the concert.
The 24-year-old singer appears to be back on her feet again after breaking her toe whilst trying to save a butterfly.
The ‘Bad at Love’ hitmaker injured herself when she tried to save the creature last month, but it ended up being dead anyway.
She wrote on Instagram: “I was trying to save a hurt butterfly in the jungle. I broke my toe. turns out the butterfly was already dead. I have alien feet I know. I sacrificed having nice feet when I committed to a life of dancing on stages and saving dead butterflies. this hurts. (sic)”
Back in 2017, Halsey broke her foot, just minutes after telling Fifth Harmony to “go break a leg” at the Y100 Jingle Ball concert in Florida, only to end up in hospital with a fractured right foot shortly afterwards.
She tweeted at the time: “Mood is me saying “break a leg” to @FifthHarmony last night and then being in the hospital getting a foot x Ray 35 minutes later. (sic)”
And when advised by one of her followers to simply “walk it off”, she clarified she’d suffered a painful break.
She replied: “I’m not sure u can “walk off” a broken foot (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Anne-Marie does jigsaw puzzles to calm down before her concerts.
The 27-year-old pop star – who is currently taking her ‘Speak Your Mind’ world tour around the UK – has admitted she finds it difficult to focus on stage, but she has found a way to channel her anxiety.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, she said: “I find it really hard to concentrate on things – I am always easily distracted. When you watch my shows I will literally stop halfway through and go: ‘Oh yeah, you said that before’.
“My mind is really over-active but when I do puzzles I just stop and I am in the moment and I calm down. It really does help with being chilled and focused before I go on stage. If I didn’t have those I’d be really crazy.”
Meanwhile, the ‘2002’ hitmaker also admitted she is determined to make sure her second album – which is set to be released later this year – is more suited to a live environment than her debut effort.
She explained: “For my second album that is coming up this year, I’ve gone into studio sessions knowing exactly what kind of songs I needed on it. I love performing live so much, it’s such a big part of me.
“With ‘Speak Your Mind’, I unfortunately had to realise that I couldn’t translate some of its songs on to stage – that’s why I wanted to do better with my next album.”
The ‘Perfect To Me’ singer star has previously opened up about getting nervous on stage, and she admitted she still struggles when she’s faced with large groups, despite performing for a living.
She explained: “My shyness got worse at the start of my career.
You’d think being a singer would be good for your confidence but, for me, it was actually the opposite.
“The more people I met, the more anxious I became. I was really protective of my feelings and wary of getting mugged off.”
