OHMYGOSSIP — Madonna’s meteoric rise to fame took her “breath away”.
The 60-year-old pop star emerged as one of the world’s best-selling singers in the 1980s, and she’s admitted she wasn’t properly prepared for the intense pressure that came her way.
She said: “It took my breath away. I can’t begin to tell you.
“I remember the first concert I did on the Virgin tour, in Seattle, when everything became big and I had no way of being prepared for it. It literally sucked the life out of me, sucked the air out of my lungs when I walked on stage.”
In fact, the iconic star revealed she had “an out-of-body experience” as her life and career were suddenly transformed.
But, over time, Madonna has learned to cope with the pressures of fame.
Speaking to the Guardian newspaper, Madonna shared: “Not a bad feeling, not an out-of-control feeling, but an otherworldly feeling that nothing could prepare you for. I mean, eventually you get used to it.”
Meanwhile, the chart-topping singer previously admitted to using the clay mask from her own MDNA Skin line in order to get a “soft butt”.
She said: “I have used the clay mask on my butt.
“Don’t you want soft skin on your butt? I mean don’t a lot of people look at your butt? Your butt has an audience. At least one! Maybe you can ask your significant other to remove it for you. What do you think?
“You have it put it on and you lay down and he can rub your feet or she while your mask is setting in for seven to ten minutes, and then you can get some magnetic head on your behind.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher closed the first night of the Isle of Wight Festival 2019 in style with a selection of Oasis hits.
The 52-year-old rocker headlined the annual festival at Seaclose Park on Friday (14.06.19) with his band, the High Flying Birds, and wowed crowds with a mixture of new tracks and classics from his former band, Oasis, which he was a member of with his brother and bitter rival Liam Gallagher until their split in 2009.
Opening with High Flying Birds track ‘Fort Knox’ – which was taken from his 2018 album ‘Who Built The Moon?’ – Noel played a series of newer tracks first, including singles ‘Holy Mountain’, ‘She Taught Me To Fly’, and new single ‘Black Star Dancing’.
After a quick break for Oasis tracks ‘The Importance of Being Idle’ and ‘Little By Little’, the band went back to their own material, playing older High Flying Birds songs such as ‘Everybody’s On The Run’ and ‘AKA… What a Life!’.
He then treated fans to a host of Oasis hits such as ‘Stop Crying Your Heart Out’, ‘Wonderwall’, ‘Half the World Away’, and ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’.
To close out his set, the rocker opted for a cover of ‘All You Need Is Love’ by The Beatles, which went down a storm as crowds sang the words of the classic track back to him.
Elsewhere in the first full day of the festival, The Courteeners warmed fans up for Noel with their hits including ‘Not Nineteen Forever’, and Lily Allen stormed through fan favourites such as ‘The Fear’, ‘Smile’, and ‘F**k You’.
The Isle of Wight Festival continues on Saturday (15.06.19) when George Ezra is co-headlining with Fatboy Slim, and Sunday (16.06.19), when Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro will close the weekend.

OHMYGOSSIP — George Ezra headlined the Isle of Wight festival on Saturday (15.06.18) from a chair after injuring his ankle during his “annual run”.
The 26-year-old singer took to the stage on the second day of the annual festival at Seaclose Park, Newport, but was forced to perform his entire set from a seated position as he’d managed to roll his ankle during a run the day before, meaning he couldn’t stand or “walk too well”.
Explaining his predicament on stage, he said: “Yesterday I thought I’d go for my annual run. Once a year i think it’s time i get some exercise. But the next thing I know I’m on the floor. I’d rolled my ankle, so I can’t walk too well. So I’ll be sat on this stool.
“I’m well aware this is the famous Isle of Wight festival, where the likes of Jimi Hendrix have played, but tonight you’ve got George Ezra off his head on anti inflammatories.”
Despite his injury, the ‘Shotgun’ hitmaker still managed to get the crowd moving and singing along to his chart-topping hits, including ‘Pretty Shining People’, ‘Budapest’, ‘Blame It On Me’, and ‘Cassie O’.
George also paid tribute to Bob Dylan with a cover of 1963 track ‘Don’t Think Twice It’s All Right’, which he played to mark 50 years since the musical legend took to the stage at the festival in what was his first show since his terrifying 1966 motorcycle crash.
Elsewhere on the main stage on Saturday, Bastille were joined on stage by 80s icon Rick Astley, who leant his vocals and drumming talents to their closing track ‘Pompeii’.
Rick had played his own set just hours before, where he’d had the whole crowd moving to classic song ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher would rather “eat s**t” than listen to his brother and bitter rival Liam Gallagher’s music.
The 52-year-old rocker has been locked in a feud with his younger sibling ever since the demise of Oasis in 2009, and has said he has no interest in checking out Liam’s solo ventures, as he’d rather “put s**t on a pizza” and eat it.
When asked if he’d rather watch his rival football team Manchester United win a quadruple, or watch Liam perform at Wembley, he said: “I think I’d rather eat my own s**t. I’d rather put s**t on a pizza and be force fed it than listen to that bozo f***ing murder his own songs.”
But the ‘Black Star Dancing’ hitmaker added if he had to see Liam live, he’d “do it in disguise” just to cause a nuisance.
He added: “I’d do it in disguise though, I’d get dressed up like a fisherman and go to one of his gigs with four pairs of sunglasses on. I’d be like ‘fuck off, no you f**k off, you f**k off, no you f**k off.’ I’ll slowly watch burning an effigy in myself being hoisted above the stage at some point.”
And it’s not just Liam’s music that Noel isn’t interested in, as he also took aim at bands including The Killers and Kings of Leon for having on-stage gimmicks such as pyrotechnics and hydraulic drum rises.
Speaking to Absolute Radio at the Isle of Wight festival on Friday (14.06.19) – where he played a headline slot – the ‘Holy Mountain’ singer said: “The Killers headline every festival, they even headline two festivals all at the same time. I did a European tour last year and I did every festival known to man and The Killers or the Foo Fighters or the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, were on all at the same time. If it’s not them it’s the f***ing Kings of Leon, I don’t know what’s wrong with British music these days but f***ing yanks it’s all with the pyrotechnics and s**t pattern in between songs and f***ing hydraulic drum rises”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher has confirmed John Lennon and Yoko Ono inspired the title of his new album.
The former Oasis frontman has titled his second solo LP ‘Why Me? Why Not?’ and the title stemmed from him buying the ‘Imagine’ singer’s ‘Why Me?’ self-portrait, and later telling the Beatles legend’s widow about his purchase – only for her to send him the companion piece, ‘Why Not?’ a few weeks later.
“Why Me?’ showed John standing before himself asking his alter-self: “Why have I been so blessed? Why do I exist? Why have I chosen to act as a voice of reason asking people to live in peace and to love one another?” and ‘Why Not’ depicted the singer sitting in an armchair in the clouds, with a cat next to him and the title below.
Reflecting on receiving the later piece in the post, Liam said: “F***ing hell. I’m looking at this drawing Yoko Ono sent me, that John Lennon drew in 1972, of him in a chair in the clouds with a cat on his arm, as I sit on a chair with a cat on my arm and what is going on?”
The 46-year-old star decided ‘Why Me? Why Not?’ would make a great merchandise slogan but then a different plan struck him.
In an interview with Q magazine, he recalled: “Then, I thought, one day it would look even better on an album cover.”
But the ‘Shockwave’ hitmaker also had the idea of honouring another of his heroes, Manchester City legend Mario Balotelli, with the album title.
He said: “I had thought of calling the album ‘Why Always Me’ after Mario Balotelli, but this is better.”
Liam has been a lifelong fan of John and his music and even named his eldest son Lennon – his child with ex-wife Patsy Kensit – after the iconic musician. He also sampled his voice on 2008 Oasis single ‘I’m Outta Time’ – which he penned for the band’s final studio album ‘Dig Out Your Soul’.
The 46-year-old singer previously stated he believes that John – who was tragically shot and killed outside his Manhattan apartment in The Dakota building in 1980 at the age of 40 – is his “spiritual guide” and has been “looking out” for him.
He said: “[He’s my] spiritual f***ing guide. I do believe he’s here. I do believe that he’s looking out for me.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher thinks anyone who doesn’t like the result of the Brexit referendum should “go to North Korea”.
The 52-year-old rocker opposes Britain’s decision to leave the European Union, but has insisted the public ought to respect the democratic process.
He explained: “You take part in a democratic f***ing process – if you don’t like the outcome, go to North Korea.
“I sat the day of Brexit and thought: ‘I can’t be a****d going to the polling station, who the f*** would vote to leave Europe? It’s a nonsensical f***ing idea’. And you wake up the next day and think: ‘F***ing hell, s***.’
“But the thing that is taking place after that is frankly a disgrace. It’s a disgrace when you see people trying to get that vote overturned. Because that’s fascism. Straight up. Pure and simple.
“Flying in the face of democracy, no matter what, because you don’t like what f***ing happened.
“None of us like it. But there it is, it’s happened. I get really f***ing cross at myself for not voting, as I’m sure a lot of people didn’t vote.
“They didn’t because they were thinking no one’s going to vote to leave, it’s a ridiculous idea. But now, I would defend the rights of people who voted to leave – it has to f***ing go through.”
The former Oasis star also claimed Britain currently finds itself in the midst of “strange times”.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News newspaper, Noel reflected: “We’re living in strange times, aren’t we, where people’s beliefs are so opposing … It used to be people who were right-wing who were violent, protesting violently.
“Now you see people who are left-wing violently protesting and lobbing milkshakes – where did the milkshakes come from? It’s f***ing funny as f*** – over each other.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bastille’s new album explores the complex “relationship with our phones”.
The indie band – comprised of Dan Smith, Kyle Simmons, Will Farquarson and Chris Wood – recently released their third studio album ‘Doom Days’ and frontman Dan, 32, has revealed that the group wanted the record to hold “a mirror up to what’s going on” in society now, especially the relationship people have with technology.
In an interview with Australian website Music Feeds, he said: “I think music and all forms of art should be holding a mirror up to what’s going on. We wanted this album to feel of its time. I wanted to talk about our relationships with our phones and with the truth and how complicated that is. We have this thing in our hands that’s a portal to all of the information in the world and somehow it’s seemed to have gone to the sourest, darkest form of itself while also being this amazing thing.”
The ‘Pompeii’ hitmaker went on to explain that although the album will take a look at the darker side of social media, they still want their songs to feel “fun to listen to” as well as admitting that the band themselves aren’t exempt from being “addicted” to their smartphones
He said: “I guess we wanted to throw all of that out there and acknowledge our hypocrisies. We can all acknowledge that we’re a bit addicted to our phones but I think we’re all a bit guilty of it.
“I just wanted to jumble all of that into an album that is kinda fun to listen to. We wanted to write it in a way that hopefully, you don’t feel like you’re being hit over the head with these things, but I do think it’s important, if you’re making pop music, for it to aspire to say something; or at least provoke some sort of thought or conversation.”

OHMYGOSSIP — The Spice Girls joked about Victoria Beckham’s absence during the last date of their reunion tour on Saturday (15.06.19).
The iconic girl group – which features Mel B, Mel C, Geri Horner and Emma Bunton – thrilled an enthusiastic crowd at Wembley Stadium connected by EE in London, and even found the time to joke about their absent former bandmate.
Amid rumours of Victoria making a cameo appearance at the gig, the girls changed the lyrics for ‘Wannabe’, singing: “Easy V doesn’t come for free … Where is she?”
At one stage, Geri also joked about the group holding auditions to fill the void left by Victoria.
She told the crowd: “There’s always room for a fifth member.”
Meanwhile, Victoria – who had been hotly tipped to reunite with her former bandmates for the final show of their tour – was spotting in Spain, where she was attending the wedding of Spanish soccer player Sergio Ramos.
During the show’s encore, the band brought their mothers and children onto the stage as they sang their 1996 hit ‘Mama’.
And Emma was even reduced to tears during their rendition of ‘Viva Forever’.
The 43-year-old star subsequently told the crowd: “I’ve got an ugly cry, haven’t I? It’s the last night. We’re all very emotional.”
Mel C described the occasion as a “night to celebrate”.
She added: “Being in Spice World is incredible.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jess Glynne has pulled out of the Isle of Wight festival 2019.
The ‘These Days’ hitmaker was due to take to the stage at the annual music extravaganza at Seaclose Park, Newport, on Sunday (16.06.19), but was forced to pull out at the last second for undisclosed reasons.
The stage was set up for her performance when a festival organiser came on stage 10 minutes after her set was due to start to inform the crowd she would not be able to start her set.
Instead, Richard Ashcroft and headliners Biffy Clyro will have their sets moved forward to fill the gap, though it’s unknown as of the time of writing if either act will play for longer than planned.
Jess – who has been supporting the Spice Girls on their huge comeback tour – recently said songwriting helps her process her feelings and emotions and when she expresses herself in words she finds the whole process a healing one.
She explained: “The moment I got in the studio and started making music everything changed … The reason I write music, it’s kind of like a therapy for me, it’s my way of expressing myself.”
The ‘All I Am’ hitmaker also insisted that she feels “reassured” that she is able to talk about her own “insecurities” through her songs because the music industry can affect your confidence and mental health.
She said: “The industry that I work in though, it gives you a lot of insecurities and self-doubt, and it’s quite reassuring to know that somebody like myself for others have definitely been able to talk about it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Fatboy Slim is aware “the clock is ticking” on his music career.
The ‘Right Here, Right Now’ hitmaker feels lucky that he is still successful but after more than 35 years in the industry, he knows that he does have a “sell-by date” and success won’t last forever.
He said: “I’m just at a point in life where I’m kind of tremendously enthralled that I’m still allowed to do this but aware that in terms of shelf life and sell by dates the clock is ticking.
“So, I’m trying to cram in all the things that I haven’t done yet.”
The 55-year-old star – whose real name is Norman Cook – admitted he sometimes gets “jaded” by his work because he’s been doing it for so long.
He added: “I can occasionally get jaded about my musical career as I have been doing this for 35 years.”
Despite his long career, the DJ still has a list of things he wants to achieve – even if some of them are “stupid”.
Speaking to Absolute Radio presenter Danielle Perry backstage at the Isle of Wight festival over the weekend, he said: “A film sound track was definitely the last one on my printed list, but it just frees me up to think of more and more stupid things. I’m gonna play in a toilet this summer somewhere.”
The ‘Praise You’ hitmaker recently served as musical director on Julian Temple’s ‘Ibiza – The Silent Movie’ – and had a great time working with the “iconic” filmmaker.
He said: “He is one of the most iconic and talented documentary producers. Well obviously I know quite a lot about Ibiza, at least I thought I did until we started this film.
“Julian Temple has just been a director that I’ve always rated and the way he makes films is very similar to how I make records. He uses little found bits and then glues them all together and makes a kind of collage out of it. So, we got on really well.
“We have kind of got history going back through Glastonbury and everything.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Biffy Clyro closed the Isle of Wight festival 2019 in style on Sunday (16.06.19) with an impressive firework display.
The Scottish rockers – comprised of Simon Neil and brothers James and Ben Johnston – headlined the third and final day of the music extravaganza at Seaclose Park, Newport, and made sure it was a night no-one would forget as they wowed crowds with a lengthy firework display.
The impressive show took place during the group’s final song, 2013’s ‘Stingin’ Belle’, and came after the trio had already stunned with show stopping displays of pyrotechnics and confetti throughout their almost two-hour set.
Biffy Clyro played for 10 minutes longer than expected after Jess Glynne pulled out of the festival at the last minute, citing “exhaustion” as the reason for her cancelled set.
The stage was set up for her performance when a festival organiser came on stage 10 minutes after her set was due to start to inform the crowd she would not be able to start her set.
Instead, both Biffy and Richard Ashcroft had their sets moved forward to fill the gap, but the former Verve frontman – who had the whole crowd singing along to classic hit ‘Bitter Sweet Symphony’ – chose not to extend his set any further.
Elsewhere in the festival’s final day, Madness had crowds on their feet and dancing along to several hit tracks including ‘Baggy Trousers’, ‘Our House’, and ‘It Must Be Love’.
Closing out the Big Top stage this year were Keane, who played to a packed tent, with audiences belting out the words to the likes of ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ and leaving frontman Tom Chaplin teary eyed.

OHMYGOSSIP — Fleetwood Mac have teased they will be headlining Glastonbury in 2020.
The ‘Go Your Own Way’ rockers are currently on the UK leg of their sold-out European tour and whilst performing at London’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday night (16.06.19) drummer Mick Fleetwood told the crowd that the band still had a “big field to play” at “a rained out festival in England”.
Although Mick, 71, didn’t name the festival, Glastonbury is renowned for its inclement weather at the end of June when it takes place on Worthy Farm in Somerset, South West England, and is often swamped with mud and sludge.
His comments were picked up by specialist Glastonbury social media accounts and fans at the gig.
The Glasto Thingy Twitter account wrote: “Unconfirmed reports coming in that Fleetwood Mac announced they will be playing “a rained out festival in England” next year. (sic)”
Glasto Fest Feed added: “Could Fleetwood Mac just have confirmed for #Glastonbury2020? Unconfirmed reports are indicating that the iconic band may be set to headline Glastonbury Festival next year… (sic)”
Surprisingly, Fleetwood Mac have never performed at Michael Eavis’ world renowned event and Mick has admitted that the band would “burn in hell” if they didn’t headline it at least once.
He said: “Of course, we’ve been asked to play and it’s never worked out. I think the legend of Glastonbury and Fleetwood Mac will come true. I think I’ll burn in hell if we don’t do it one day.”
The Glastonbury Festival celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2020 and Michael – who organises the event with his daughter Emily Eavis – recently dropped a huge hint that Sir Paul McCartney will be one of the headliners.
Speaking to BBC Somerset, he said: “Paul’s on good form at the moment.”
When asked if he had “spoken to him” and if he was coming to play at Worthy Farm again, Michael added: “Hopefully for the 50th, yeah.
“Don’t make a big thing of it though will you?”
Beatles legend Paul, 76, last topped the bill on the Pyramid Stage in 2004.

OHMYGOSSIP — Lewis Capaldi’s career has “peaked” now he has been “slagged off” by Noel Gallagher.
The 22-year-old singer has hilariously reacted to comments made by the 52-year-old Oasis legend, who called Capaldi an “idiot” during an interview with Radio X on Saturday (15.06.19), and took to social media to reveal it was a “dream come true” to join the long list of artists to have felt the full force of Noel’s acerbic tongue.
Noel said: “Music is f**king w**k at the moment. Who’s this Capaldi fella? Who the f**k’s that idiot?”
And taking to his Instagram Stories to respond, Capaldi said: “F**king c’mon! F**king peaked – slagged off by Noel Gallagher!
“Number 1 single – who gives a f**k? Number 1 album – who gives a f**k? Noel Gallagher has just slagged me off. This is dreams coming true. It’s Father’s Day and I’m being slagged off by a man who’s old enough to be my dad, and I’ve never been more happy.”
This news comes as the Scottish singer has added two extra dates to his major 2020 UK and Ireland tour due to demand.
Capaldi will now play a second night at London’s The SSE Arena, Wembley on March 13, and TECA in Aberdeen on March 15.
The ‘Grace’ chart topper – who has also announced a US run in September and October, and a big outdoor show at Stadtpark in Hamburg, Germany, on August 6 – is “buzzing” for the gigs.
Announcing the new shows on Instagram, Lewis wrote: “NEW SHOWS UK America & Germany ! v excited to announce a load more shows (swipe left)… another date at Wembley Arena in London, a huge show at Aberdeen’s new Arena! + a massive tour of America at the end of the year + a massive outdoor show at Stadtpark in Hamburg!! OHMYGOSSIP — Slayer played their final ever UK show at Download Festival on Sunday night (16.06.19).
The thrash metal legends signed off on the second stage, while Tool closed the spectacle on the main stage at the event held at Donington Park in Leicestershire, England.
Slayer treated the packed crowd to a set full of their classic tracks, including ‘Raining Blood’, ‘Evil Has No Boundaries’, ‘Hell Awaits’, ‘Gemini’, ‘Black Magic’ and ‘Chemical Warfare’, and finished off with ‘Angel of Death’ – from their 1986 album ‘Reign in Blood’, which was the first time they collaborated with Rick Rubin.
At the end of the historic performance the band stood motionless as the crowd applauded and cheered before heading backstage.
Later, 58-year-old singer Tom Araya reappeared for the fans and simply said: “Thank you very much. Good night.”
The crowd continued clapping and cheering and chanting “Slayer” long into the night.
Other highlights on the Sunday of the heavy metal festival included performances from Anthrax, Dream Theater and Lamb of God.
Slipknot, Stone Temple Pilots and Trivium were among the Saturday performers, while Rob Zombie and Def Leppard wowed the crowds on Friday.
Now the dust has settled on Download Festival 2019 tickets for the 2020 event go on sale on Monday (17.06.19) from 10am.

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Walker has only seen his fiancée seven times since they got engaged.
The 27-year-old singer popped the question to Annie, his girlfriend of five years, last August and confessed the pair haven’t been able to see each other much since they agreed to tie the knot due to his busy schedule – but insisted that his partner is “the absolute one” and has always been “so supportive” of his music.
Speaking to Absolute Radio at the Isle of Wight Festival, he said: “Aye, seen her about seven times since we got engaged in August, she’s so, so lovely. When we met I didn’t actually have a job and I was nowhere in the music industry and I was just knocking on doors trying to get stuff done. So, she’s been with me through the whole journey and is so supportive and lovely and just … she’s the one mate, she’s the absolute one, she never gives me any grief man.”
The ‘Leave a Light On’ hitmaker recently released his debut album ‘What a Time to Be Alive’ and revealed that a few songs on the record are about his relationship and missing Annie while on tour.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper’s Wired column, he said: “Me and my missus keep getting happier and more settled.
“Some of the tunes are about being in a relationship when you’re away on tour and then coming back and making the most of the little time you’ve got.
The ‘Angels’ singer added that the pair are in “no rush” to get married and are enjoying being engaged.
He said: “There’s no rush it’ll be nice to be engaged for a little while.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lorde has confirmed that her new album is getting close.
The 22-year-old singer – whose real name is Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O’Connor – announced in an Instagram post on Sunday (16.06.19) celebrating the two-year anniversary of the release of her acclaimed 2017 LP acclaimed ‘Melodrama’ that her third studio album is “in the oven” and will be ready to come out soon.
On her Instagram stories, she wrote about Melodrama: “I was such a baby making that work, lots of emotions and learning so much all the time. Feels like I’ve grown a lot since then, I’ve been to Antarctica, I have a dog now and a cat and I can bake bread and cook dinner and keep plants alive etc. It’s a good life you’ve given me. Thank you thank you. Third one in the oven. (Sic)”
The ‘Royals’ hitmaker thanked her fans for their support and making ‘Melodrama’ “their own” since it was released.
She wrote: “Apparently Melodrama came out two years ago today … Want to say thankyou for how you took that record and made it your own. Swells my damn heart thinking about your love for it and your willingness to go there with me and to dance the way that we did together.
“The day it came out i did a jigsaw puzzle all day in my hotel room in NY. I felt so emptied, i didnt really know yet that you make a record and get filled up, and then releasing it empties you … and slowly fills you up again (sic).”
The ‘Green Light’ singer teased last year that the new album could potentially have some piano-based songs as she recently learned the instrument.
She said: “I haven’t started properly on the next record yet, and I’m not sure how long it’ll be.
“But I’ve been teaching myself how to play piano, and here and there little bits come out.”
