OHMYGOSSIP — Serge Pizzorno will release his debut solo ‘The S.L.P’. album on August 30.
The Kasabian guitarist’s new project features previously released lead single ‘Favourites’ with rapper Little Simz and a collaboration with British hip-hop star slowthai on ‘Meanwhile… At The Welcome Break’.
The 11 tracks span “hip-hop, psychedelic-funk and new-wave” and are rich in euphoria and melody.
The decision to go solo was so that the ‘Empire’ hitmaker could collaborate with more people, and, whilst he’s still devoted to Kasabian, the 38-year-old rocker admitted he needed to do the side project to be able to “move forward”.
He explained: “Moving forward, I’d like to collaborate more and open that door more.
“‘The S.L.P. project’ will become this sort of place I can go and just do whatever.
“It’s so important to have that “continuing “My life in the band and my boys”, that’s part of me that will be there forever, but then there’s something else I have to get that out or I won’t be able to move forward.”
Serge will also be playing intimate shows across the UK and Europe to support his new record, which is being released on Columbia Records, kicking off at Glasgow’s SWG3 on September 5, and wrapping at Café de la Danse in Paris, France, on September 17.
The run will also include two nights at London’s EartH in Stoke Newington on September 9 and September 10.
Tickets go on sale on Friday, June 28 at 9.30am.

OHMYGOSSIP — Carrie Underwood is being sued over her 2018 ‘Sunday Night Football’ theme song.
The ‘Before He Cheats’ hitmaker is being subjected to legal action by songwriter Heidi Merrill, who claims she wrote and recorded a song called ‘Game On’ in 2016 and pitched the track to the country superstar and her producer Mark Bright the following year with the idea the former ‘American Idol’ champion could use it as her next sports anthem but was told they would “have to pass”.
Heidi argued Carrie’s own ‘Game On’ is “substantially – even strikingly – similar, if not identical” to her song, not just in title but in tempo, hooks, chord progression, time signature and other aspects.
The complaint – which as well as Carrie and Mark also lists EMI Entertainment, Warner Chappell Music, the NFL and NBC as defendants – stated: “The Defendants knowingly, willfully, and intentionally copied original, copyrightable elements of the Plaintiffs’ original Work, publicly performed or displayed the Infringing Song, and otherwise violated the Plaintiffs’ exclusive copyrights in the Work for substantial personal and commercial gain.”
Heidi and her co-writers are seeking an injunction and unspecified damages.
The writer’s lawyer, Timothy Foster, has vowed to “aggressively seek” vindication of Heidi’s copyright to her song.
He told Billboard: “Federal copyright laws are designed to protect the authors of original creative works, including our clients who wrote the original song ‘Game On’ in 2016 and submitted it for Carrie Underwood’s consideration through her producer.
“As alleged in our complaint, after Ms. Underwood’s representatives indicated that they were not interested in using ‘Game On,’ Ms. Underwood, with help from the other Defendants, released her new Sunday Night Football theme song with the same title, which is substantially similar to our clients’ original ‘Game On’ in numerous respects.
“This type of exploitation is precisely what our copyright laws are designed to protect against, and we will aggressively seek to vindicate our clients’ rights in the original song they created.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher has labelled his rival brother Liam Gallagher a “fat man in an anorak” and ruled out an Oasis reunion.
The Britpop group’s former guitarist-and-songwriter has slammed the ex-frontman after he suggested he should be made Prime Minister and make it “the law” for the Britpop group to reunite.
Liam, 46, tweeted: “Get oasis back together I’d make it law (sic)”
However, the 52-year-old rocker was less than impressed by Liam’s remark and mocked his younger sibling for his appearance and for wearing parkas all the time.
Noel, who called Liam’s fans who hate his solo work ‘Parka Monkeys’ in the past, told the Daily Star newspaper’s Wired column: “If they want to hear old Oasis songs they’re being played by a fat man in an anorak somewhere, you know, with shorts on so they can go and see that.
“I’ve no desire at all to get back involved with Oasis.”
The ‘Black Star Dancing’ hitmaker – who quit Oasis in 2009 after a backstage bust-up with Liam at their concert in Paris, leading to the group’s demise – insists their fans are stuck in the past and “refuse to believe” it’s over.
He continued: “I’m afraid Oasis is in the past and that’s it.
“There’s a lot of people in England who refuse to accept that it’s over.
“It’s like when they watch boxsets and they don’t like the ending.
“They refuse to believe that is the way it ends because they didn’t want it to end like that.
“I’m afraid life is not like that, you know.”
The ‘Some Might Say’ hitmaker – who is estimated to be worth around $60 million – insists that he doesn’t see the point in getting back together with Oasis, even for one tour, because he doesn’t need the money and he is focused on making “new” solo music now.
He said: “Why would we get back together?
“We will never make new music, f*** that. To do what? One more tour and make more money?
“What’s the point of that?
“I’m in a place where it’s about ‘now’. It’s about creating new stuff.”
Noel is set to work on a follow-up to his 2017 High Flying Birds LP ‘Who Built the Moon?’ and has revealed his plans to have his own recording space in London.
He added: “I’ll be building a recording studio in London – my first-ever recording studio – and when that’s finished I’ll man a new (solo) album.”
Liam – who has his own clothing brand Pretty Green which sells parkas – has no problem with the label “parka monkeys”, as the ‘For What It’s Worth’ hitmaker previously insisted the description is accurate.
He hit back: “I am a f***ing parka monkey. He’s f***ing with a generation there, man.
“I’d rather be a parka monkey than a f***in’ Givenchy f***in’ Bond Street p***y-wearing clown or whatever he is. Parkas, bring it on.”
Just last week, Noel quipped that he’d rather “put s**t on a pizza” and eat it than listen to Liam’s solo music.
When asked if he’d rather watch his rival football team Manchester United win a quadruple, or watch the ‘Wall of Glass’ hitmaker – who is set to release his second album ‘Why Me? Why Not’ on September 20 – perform at Wembley, Noel said: “I think I’d rather eat my own s**t. I’d rather put s**t on a pizza and be force fed it than listen to that bozo f***ing murder his own songs.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack White doesn’t own a cell phone.
The former White Stripes star is known to ban all phones from his shows and now he has revealed that he doesn’t actually use one himself because he thinks people look “silly” walking around peering down at screens and fears that the obsession will lead to humans having their phones implanted into them.
Appearing on ‘Channel 4 News’, he said: “For someone like me, who is one of the few who doesn’t own a cell phone, it is pretty funny to walk down the street and see everyone doing this (looking at their device).
“I’m an anomaly and I’m looking at everybody and to me everyone sort of looks silly.
“And then you’re like, whatever, that’s their lives.
“Or who knows, maybe this is the way everything is going to be from now on. I have no idea.
“Nobody really does. Maybe it’ll turn into implants. Probably it’ll turn into a microchip behind our eyeball or whatever.”
The 43-year-old star first banned phones on his solo tour in support of his new record ‘Boarding House Reach’ in 2018, when he made staff hand gig-goers a special pouch which locks their device inside, so they can fully enjoy the “shared experience”.
Jack expected his fans to demand refunds but they actually ended up enjoying themselves.
He said: “I thought it was a big art project at first just to see if people would think it was funny or cool or just a new experience, almost like an escape room or something like that.
“‘Hey, wouldn’t it be funny if we had this arena show and everyone who showed up we told them they couldn’t use their phones?’
“We thought maybe even at first people would be mad enough to demand their money back, and something interesting would happen.”
To my surprise and everyone around me’s surprise, everyone loved it, and we’ve been doing it now for over a year.”

Speaking in 2014, the ‘Seven Nation Army’ hitmaker fumed that he was “wasting his time” performing to an audience too busy on their mobiles and drinking.
He moaned: “People can’t clap anymore, because they’ve got a f**king texting thing in their f**king hand, and probably a drink, too!
“Some musicians don’t care about this stuff, but I let the crowd tell me what to do.
“There’s no setlist. I’m not just saying the same things I said in Cleveland last night. If they can’t give me that energy back? Maybe I’m wasting my time.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Rihanna has admitted to trolling her fans with her ‘No More Music’ Fenty t-shirts.
The 31-year-old singer has been keeping fans waiting for her ninth studio album since the release of ‘Anti’ in 2016, and recently admitted she doesn’t know when it will be released.
And on Tuesday (18.06.19), the ‘Work’ hitmaker unveiled the brand new design at a Fenty pop-up at The Webster in Soho, New York, which is available to purchase now.
Many of her fans – who are known as The Navy – have told her on social media that they want more songs over new beauty products.
Asked if the $230 tops are an intentional troll, Rihanna told W magazine: “It’s [hit the Internet] and it’s full-on trolls.
“Please let my fans know that I’m trolling them.
“You have to get it because it’s a souvenir. That’s the closest you’ll get to music before the album.”
When asked how much longer fans would have to wait, R&B pop star admitted recently: “I wish I knew. I have blocked off a solid period of time for the studio next month.”
The ‘Ocean’s 8’ actress said it “sucks” that she can’t just put her new music out into the world, but insisted she doesn’t want to “rush” the material.
She added: “It really does suck that it can’t just come out, because I’m working on a really fun one right now. I’m really happy with a lot of the material we have so far, but I am not going to put it out until it’s complete. It makes no sense to rush it, but I want it out. I’ve gotten to the point where I’m like, “Even if I don’t have the time to shoot videos, I’m going to put an album out.'”
Rihanna also admitted her business empire is partly to blame for the lengthy time between records now, as she’s having to divide her energy between her music career, as well as her fashion and beauty lines.
She explained: “It’s the reason why an album isn’t being spat out like it used to. I used to be in the studio, only the studio, for three months straight, and an album would come out. Now, it’s like a carousel. I do fashion one day, lingerie the next, beauty the next, then music the next. It’s like having a bunch of kids and you need to take care of them all.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Freddie Mercury’s previously lost recording of ‘Time Waits For No One’ has been released.
The song was penned for West End show ‘Time’ in 1986 by musician Dave Clark, however the Queen frontman – who passed away from complications with AIDS at the age of 45 in 1991 – recorded his own take on the ballad, which had been lost for a decade until last spring.
Speaking on their recording sessions for the song, Dave said in a statement: “We got on great … if I didn’t like something I’d say, and vice versa…we were both aiming for the same thing: to make something special.”
Original keyboardist Mike Moran – who went on to produce ‘Barcelona’ with Freddie in 1987, which was later released on Queen’s 1999 ‘Greatest Hits III’ LP – plays piano on the unearthed recording as Freddie’s flawless vocals command the powerful ballad.
To accompany the release of the song, a music video has been released, which Dave spent four years working on from the negatives of the recording of Freddie’s performance of the song at London’s Dominion Theatre – which was shot in just three hours.
The making of ‘Time’ was fuelled by “fabulous food, vodka and Cristal Champagne,” courtesy of Freddie’s personal chef Joe Fanelli, a press release states.
Dave, a member of the 60s group Dave Clark Five, previously revealed: “The version rehearsed at Abbey Road was just Freddie with a piano. It was magic and it gave me goosebumps.
“The produced version ended up with 48 vocal tracks. It took me years to track down the original master tape of just Freddie singing.”
This isn’t the only unheard music from Freddie, as it was previously revealed that Queen has unreleased tracks with David Bowie laying around.
Peter Hince, the band’s former roadie, was travelling with the British rock legends when they collaborated with the late music legend – who passed away in January last year after a secret battle with cancer – on ‘Under Pressure’ in 1981.
In his new tome, ‘David Bowie: I Was There’, he said they had done much more together than the one song.
In an excerpt, he wrote: “They … performed some original songs they did together , and also covers. They were just jamming in the studio, and it all got recorded – ‘All The Young Dudes’, ‘All The Way From Memphis’ and various rock classics.”
Peter teased there are some real gems of the icons duetting.
He said: “There’s stuff with Freddie and David singing together – proper full-length rock ‘n’ roll tracks. Raw, but good.”
Although Queen’s management declined to comment on the tracks, the group’s guitarist Brian May recently said the famous pair “locked horns” during the recording of ‘Under Pressure’, the biggest hit from 1982 LP ‘Hot Space’.
The ‘We Will Rock You’ hitmaker said he tries to focus only on the “wonderful” memories he has of that time, and revealed there is still music that hasn’t “come to light” yet.
He said: “It wasn’t easy because we were all precocious boys and David was very… forceful, yes.
“Freddie and David locked horns, without a doubt. But those are the things that happen in a studio, that’s when the sparks fly and that’s why it turned out so great.
“[They locked horns] in subtle ways, like who would arrive last at the studio. So it was sort of wonderful and terrible. But in my mind, I remember the wonderful now, more than the terrible.
“And not all of what we did in those sessions has ever come to light, so there’s a thought…”

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Ashcroft is backing Stormzy to provide a memorable headline performance at Glastonbury because he is the hottest pop star in Britain right now.
The ‘Surprised By The Joy’ singer headlined the world famous festival in 2008 with his band The Verve and he believes that the timing is perfect for the Grime rapper to top the bill on the Pyramid Stage on the Saturday night because he is currently “riding the wave of popular culture”.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper’s Wired column, he said: “I like Stormzy – there are times when you are riding the wave of popular culture and you are pop. They know you in the playground, they would know his name – that’s how I define it.
“It’s like when I was a kid. We were all dancing to Madness. We didn’t care where they fitted in. We just knew there songs were catchy.”
Some critics and commentators had questioned whether the headline slot had come too soon for Stormzy as he has only released one album so far, 2017’s number one LP ‘Gang Signs & Prayer’.
However, the 25-year-old musician has vowed to give an “iconic” performance that will become part of Glastonbury’s rich history.
Stormzy previously said: “If you think I got booked for Glastonbury headline to come there and not give you an iconic headline performance, you’ve gone crazy.
“There were so many doubters being like, ‘Oh he hasn’t got no number one song’ or, ‘Oh he’s got one album out, he’s not ready.’ I’m there because I’m a serious musician.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher has branded Lewis Capaldi a “big daftie” with miserable music in response to the Scottish singer’s video mocking him.
At the weekend the 52-year-old Oasis legend called Capaldi an “idiot” and mocked the popularity of his debut LP ‘Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent’.
In an interview with Radio X, Noel said: “Music is f**king w**k at the moment. Who’s this Capaldi fella? Who the f**k’s that idiot?”
Taking to his Instagram Stories to respond, Capaldi posted a video in which he joked that becoming the latest in a long line of musicians to be “slagged off” by Noel was better than having a number one album or number one single.
In the video, he said: “F**king c’mon! F**king peaked – slagged off by Noel Gallagher! Number 1 single – who gives a f**k? Number 1 album – who gives a f**k? Noel Gallagher has just slagged me off. This is dreams coming true. It’s Father’s Day and I’m being slagged off by a man who’s old enough to be my dad, and I’ve never been more happy.”
After wishing Noel a happy Father’s Day, Capaldi, 22, filmed himself listening to Oasis’ 2002 single ‘Stop Crying Your Heart Out’.
Rather than let the war of words die, Noel has now responded to Capaldi’s jibes by posting a video of his 11-year-old son Donovan pretending to cry whilst singing Capaldi’s single ‘Someone You Loved’ on his Twitter account.
He captioned the clip: “You might wanna try and find some joy in your tunes. You’re destroying the youth.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bono’s son Elijah Hewson admitted that his father’s connections “opened doors” for his band Inhaler.
The 19-year-old musician happily accepts that his dad’s illustrious four-decade spanning career with U2 has allowed him more opportunities in the music industry, but he insists he feels “pressure” to succeed on his own as “those doors will shut just as fast as they open” if your songs are no good.
In an interview with NME, he said: “For me and for us as a band, we’ve known that there’s going to be doors open. There’s no doubt about it, but those doors will shut just as fast as they open if we’re not good. It’s the pressure to step up our game and not be s***e.”
The ‘My Honest Face’ singer went on to reveal that although he takes advice from his legendary frontman dad, Bono’s opinion “doesn’t take more weight than anyone else’s” and insisted he doesn’t “think about it too much”.
Elijah said: “I’ll play him a tune and he’ll go, ‘You know what I think that has something’, or he’ll go, ‘That’s terrible.’ That’s really handy to have.
“He’s part of a four-piece too – his opinion doesn’t take more weight than anyone else’s. Friends and family help you along the way, but we don’t think about it too much.”
It seems the ‘Beautiful Day’ hitmaker is definitely helping out his son as last month it was revealed that Bono had managed to get Elijah and his bandmates a slot opening for Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds on their tour this summer and the former Oasis guitarist was clearly impressed by Inhaler, who he has described as sounding like “early U2”.
He previously said: “His son’s got something. Eli has been getting it together for a few years and has gone through the stages most young people do. He started off a bit like The Clash, a bit angry.
“They’re good. They’re going to do some gigs with me in the summer. They’re a bit like [Echo and the] Bunnymen and early U2.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jesse Hughes says his new covers album has helped him cope with the trauma of the Bataclan attack.
The musician was playing at the venue in Paris with his band Eagles of Death Metal when armed terrorists wearing suicide vests opened fire at their show on November 13, 2015, and killed 89 people and the 46-year-old musician has revealed that his new record – which was released under his pseudonym Boots Electric – helped him cope with “every bad feeling from then”.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper’s Wired column, he said: “This is the playlist that walked me out of every bad feeling from then. I wanted to put a lot onto making this album so I could get those feelings out.”
‘Eagles Of Death Metal Presents Boots Electric Performing The Best Songs We Never Wrote’ will see the star cover the likes of KISS and AC/DC but the ‘Don’t Speak’ hitmaker explained that he took a “chance” on some of the more unexpected tracks on the record, such as Mary J. Blige’s 2001 hit ‘Family Affair’.
He said: “There are some songs people told me I couldn’t do. But in taking a chance and doing them I’ve performed better than I ever have.”
The new LP will also see Jesse perform Guns N’ Roses’ classic song ‘It’s So Easy’ but despite the ‘I Want You So Hard’ singer covering the track, Jesse revealed that the band’s frontman Axl Rose sill isn’t his biggest fan after he kicked Jesse off their joint tour in 2006.
He said: “You want an ass**** to hate you, but I still get laid off that dude hating me. Every Christmas I invite him to do a Christmas song with me, and I believe he’ll say yes one day. If he called me to do a duet I would be there in a heartbeat.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Eavis wants the BBC to stop obsessing over the weather at Glastonbury Festival.
The co-organiser of the legendary Worthy Farm event – who is the youngest daughter of the festival’s founder Michael Eavis – wants broadcasters to stop focusing on wet weather at the event as she feels excessive coverage makes the rain seem worse than it is.
In an interview with Radio Times, she said: “The TV producers have such power. They can focus on that and make it look much worse than it is. Do they need to capture the weather? How much of a talking point does it become? Sometimes you’d see John Peel totally drenched, with bin liners over his legs almost looking like, ‘Help, get me out of here!’ ”
Emily, 40, also went on to explain that organisers have chosen to prevent BBC cameras filming the late night areas in a bid to give festival goers more privacy.
She said: “It’s about giving people the choice, so they can see different stages, not just the Pyramid Stage. So we will access some of the further corners of the site and some of the smaller stages. But at the same time, we try to prevent cameras from being in the late night areas as much as possible. People don’t want to think their aunt is watching them there!”
Glastonbury will be headlined by The Killers, The Cure and Stormzy this year and will be joined on the bill by the likes of Liam Gallagher – who made his solo debut at the festival on the Other Stage in 2017 – Miley Cyrus, Johnny Marr, Billie Eilish, George Ezra, Kylie Minogue and many more.

OHMYGOSSIP — Marilyn Manson has revealed his new drummer as Ho99o9’s (Horror) Brandon Pertzborn.
Gil Sharone – who featured on Manson’s 2015 album ‘The Pale Emperor’ and its 2017 follow-up ‘Heaven Upside Down’ – announced his departure from the shock rocker’s band after five years playing together to “pursue other projects” in March.
And now, three months later, the ‘mOBSCENE’ rocker has introduced his replacement.
Alongside a black and white picture of the pair, who bonded at the cinema, Manson wrote on Instagram: “I went to see a film with @strainsofhorror Shayne and my drummer Brandon. @brandonpertzborn (sic)”
The 24-year-old sticksman – who has played for Corey Taylor and Misfits – started playing drums 10 years ago, when he was 14.
Alongside the same snap posted on his profile, he wrote: “Boom. Fun. And insanity await!”
Announcing his exit from the band, Sharone wrote: “After five amazing years playing drums for @marilynmanson, I’ve decided to leave the band It’s been one of the highlights of my career but it’s time for me to pursue other current and future projects.
“Much love to @marilynmanson and the homies I shared the stage with; @jeordie @tylerbatesofficial @paulwileymm @j_alderete and to the fans. It’s been a blast. (sic)”
The ‘Tainted Love’ hitmaker update fans in April that he has “more than half” finished his follow-up to 2017’s ‘Heaven Upside Down’ and that it’s a “different vibe” as he has worked with country star Shooter Jennings again.
Manson – who teamed up Jennings on a cover of David Bowie’s ‘Cat People’ in 2016 – said: “I felt like it was a good time for a change, and I became friends with Shooter.
“And he’s a musical genius. Shooter, he kind of reminds me of The Dude from ‘The Big Lebowski’ … “But we have this different vibe where I don’t have to really tell him what I’m thinking.
“I didn’t know this, but he was a fan of what I did growing up, also underneath his father, Waylon Jennings. So he adds a completely different element.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Tove Lo insists a lot of pop stars “pretend” they don’t take drugs.
The Swedish singer has been honest about her behaviour on all three of her albums to date, but she has insisted she isn’t the only one taking drugs, even if others don’t admit it.
She told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “It’s not all I sing about, but people choose to listen to that.
“Is it because most pop girls pretend that they don’t do anything bad, ever? If someone asks me a question I will answer it honestly, and people are so used to a public person lying.
“I still love going to raves and having escape nights. People still do it, man. It’s just more contained.”
The ‘Glad He’s Gone’ singer – who will release her fourth album ‘Sunshine Kitty’ this year – is excited to release what will be her most positive record to date.
She added: “It’s very much a happier album – the tone is sunnier, maybe from living in LA for a few years now – but it’s also about being OK needing people.
“I’ve always been very independent and like, ‘I don’t need anyone, I can live my life, I’ve got this’. I went through this really bad break-up.
“I had to really reach out to my friends and family and be like, ‘I need you’. I think this is the aftermath of that, in a good way. It’s the acceptance of being vulnerable, instead of being scared of it.”
Meanwhile Tove, 31, recently revealed that although she’s “found the person” she wants to spend the rest of her life with, she feels she and her boyfriend of two years, who she won’t name, are “children themselves” and too immature to get married and start a family.
She explained: “I’m not ready to settle down. I guess I’ve found the person, and he is the same age as me, but I feel we are children ourselves so we just can’t.
“Half of my friends have babies and mortgages and the other half are too drunk to find their phones and that’s kind of my friend group right now.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kevin Richardson flew his kids over to London for Backstreet Boys second show at The O2 on Tuesday night (18.06.19).
The 47-year-old hunk revealed on stage that Maxwell, five, and Mason, 11 – whom he has with wife Kristin Richardson – were in the audience for their “first show” of the ‘DNA World Tour’ after finishing school for the summer.
He told the sold-out arena: “They’ve just finished school… It’s their first show.”
And the youngsters no doubt giggled during the set, as their dad cheekily got changed behind a screen with his bandmate AJ McLean, 41, at one point, before the pair started throwing their signed boxers into the audience to “give back” to the fans who have thrown their bras and panties on stage over the years, sending the front rows’ pluses through the roof.
The moment segued into the pair teaming up for a duet of their “favourite” song from their latest LP,’DNA’, ‘Passionate’.
The US boyband – who formed 26 years ago – put on a flawless show from start to finish, comprised of an impressive 33 songs.
As well as performing all the hits, including ‘As Long As You Love Me’, ‘Larger Than Life’, ‘Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)’ and ‘Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely’, Nick Carter, 39, performed a solo version of ‘The Way It Was’ and Howie Dorough, 45, earlier performed ‘Chateau’ and Brian Littrell, 44, wowed fans with his own rendition of ‘Nobody Else’ from the record.
The humble ‘I Want It That Way’ hitmakers regularly stopped to thank the crowd for making their dreams come true, and Nick stumbled on his words at once point and admitted it was because he was so “overwhelmed” to have sold-out The O2 two nights running.
Backstreet Boys continue the European leg of their ‘DNA World Tour’ on Thursday (20.06.19) at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany.

OHMYGOSSIP — The Libertines have been flexing their rap skills for their new album.
The ‘Can’t Stand Me Now’ rockers have been busy working on their long-awaited follow-up to 2015 album ‘Anthems for Doomed Youth’, and co-frontman Pete Doherty has revealed he and bandmate Carl Barat recently channelled their inner Beastie Boys and Derek B in the studio.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper’s Wired Column about their hip-hop-inspired session, Pete said: “Carl [Barat] turned up and said: ‘Right, I’ve got this drum beat, it’s a bit like the Beastie Boys.
“Me and you are going to go in the booth and we’re just going to spit some bars, Pete.”
Indie star Pete, 40, has been a long-time fan of late British star Derek – the first rapper to appear on ‘Top of the Pops’ – and his only record ‘Bullet From a Gun’, which he played on repeat when it was released in 1988, when he was just a boy.
And it paid off, as the Babyshambles star amazed Carl with his impressive flow.
He continued: “So when I was eight I had this Derek B record, ‘Bullet For A Gun’, that I listened to over and over again and no one knows these rhymes and I got them all up there.
“So I went in and I was coming out with all these amazing lines, everyone was going: ‘Wow, what’s that?’
“I was like: ‘I don’t know, they just came out.”
The new record is being produced by The Prodigy’s touring guitarist Olly Burden.
It may be a while before fans hear new material from the record though, as Carl has been busy training kids in martial arts and he also recently put out an advert for musicians-and-actors for a mystery project.
The pair are based at their Margate hotel-come-studio The Albion Rooms in Kent, South East England, but the band’s other co-frontman has been attending training sessions in London.
Pete said: “Carl has been training for a while now at a mixed martial arts place in Stoke Newington, he goes with his boys.
“I think he’s building an army, he always used to talk about that, he’s got all these kids now and he’s training them up.”
Carl is on the lookout for a “male bassist, male guitarist, male drummer and a frontman” for a new project called The Heartless.
He shared a poster which he described as a “casting call”, and he stated the band members “must be able to play and act”.
The post, which was also shared on The Libertines’ social media platforms, features the 41-year-old musician wearing a pair of sunglasses, and also encourages potential candidates to email TheHeartlessPeople@gmail.com if they think they have the suitable credentials.

OHMYGOSSIP — Camila Cabello has “captured” the “essence of who [she is] right now” on her new record.
The former Fifth Harmony member – who is dating British dating expert Matthew Hussey – has been able to draw on her personal relationship on her second studio album, the follow-up to her 2018 self-titled debut ‘Camila’, and admitted she is “ready to bare her soul”.
Speaking at the Cannes Lions festival, she said: “When I was going into that album I was kind of in my little bubble of life, I had far away crushes on people and would write about them and didn’t really have any experiences with being in love.
“I only wrote about it from afar.
“For the first time on this album it’s not my imagination, it’s me writing about things that are happening in real time and I think that there’s a level of detail and emotion that you get from that that’s kind of irreplaceable.
“It’s captured my essence of who I am right now. There are a lot of stories to tell this time around.
“I’ve been in my studio cave and I’m ready to bare my soul.”
The 22-year-old star – who quit Fifth Harmony in 2016 to pursue a solo career – was previously reported to be planning to work on her new music with Taylor Swift.
The ‘Havana’ hitmaker supported ‘Delicate’ singer on her ‘Reputation Stadium Tour’ last year, along with Charli XCX, and the pair were rumoured to have discussed ideas for the album.
An insider said at the time: “Taylor is helping her with some of the tracks but they haven’t got round to recording yet.”
According to the source, Camila’s record label, Sony, were keen for the ‘Never Be The Same’ hitmaker to drop a new album as soon as this year.
They added: “Camila’s first album was a huge success globally and brought in close to half a million pounds for the label when cash from her touring, album streams and singles sales are tallied.
“Sony has artists like Adele, Beyonce and Pink, but in Camila they see the opportunity to pull in a new generation of music listeners and want her to release a brand new album next year.”
