OHMYGOSSIP — Post Malone has finished work on his third studio album.
The 24-year-old rapper has admitted his voice isn’t in its best condition after a three-day studio session to work on a follow up to last year’s ‘Beerbongs & Bentleys’, but confirmed the record is now finished.
Speaking at the Cheyenne Frontier Days festival in Cheyenne, Wyoming, he told the crowd: “I’ve got some pretty awesome news, and the reason my voice is kinda f***ed is because I was in the studio for the last three days and we just finished up the new album.
“I think it’s gonna be pretty god damn out of sight.”
Post dropped ‘Beerbongs & Bentleys’ in April 2018, after several failed release attempts.
In November last year, he unveiled plans to drop a “new body of work” before the end of the year, but admitted it might not be possible to get the new tracks out in such little time.
He wrote on Twitter: “Trying to put out a new body of work before the end of the year but we all know how that goes wish me luck k (sic)”
Despite his second studio album’s delay, he tasted plenty of success in 2018, landing himself a spot on the Forbes 30 Under 30 rich list.
And he secured headlining slots at this year’s Reading and Leeds Festival in England, as well as Lollapalooza Chile, Argentina, and Brazil.
What’s more, Post’s talents have been praised by a number of other musicians, including Keith Urban.
He said: “I love Post. He’s the real deal. He’s so eclectic, so steeped in all kinds of music. I love him.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Westlife pay homage to Celtic music on new album ‘Spectrum’.
Mark Feehily – who is joined by Shane Filan, Kian Egan an Nicky Byrne in the Irish band – has revealed one of the tracks on their first record since 2010’s ‘Gravity’ has a “Celtic fusion side to it” and he compared it to his solo track ‘Sanctuary’ from his 2015 LP ‘Fire’.
He told OfficialCharts.com: “One of them is just a very cool tip of the hat to Celtic music.
“It’s very contemporary but it’s got a Celtic fusion side to it.
“I had a song on my album called ‘Sanctuary’ which sampled Clannad but it had more a pop/hip-hop beat to it. It’s kind of in the same world as that. It’s cool, edgy and contemporary.”
Mark recently revealed Ed Sheeran has written half of their new record.
As well as the lead single ‘Hello My Love’, the 28-year-old pop megastar also worked with producer Steve Mac on five of the other tracks on ‘Spectrum’.
Mark said: “He’s done six songs for the album.
“So effectively half the album.
“One day Ed went in the studio and said ‘I just want to write Westlife songs’. It’s been a truly organic coupling.”
The ‘What About Now’ hitmakers’ new studio album is set to be released on September 6, and they think the LP’s title perfectly sums up their newfound energy.
The group recently said: “The title ‘Spectrum’ came from us talking about how we feel younger, happier and more energetic than we ever have in our career.
“‘Spectrum’ is a title that represents the various different shades and colours of our personalities, vocals and general perspectives that all blend together in a unique way to create Westlife.
“It’s also a word that represents the various shades and colours in the band, meaning it’s the perfect metaphor for our different points of view and perspectives but together, they somehow join to work perfectly.”
The band have also teamed up with James Bay for a collaboration on the album.
And they feel the LP displays “the very best version of Westlife possible”.
They added: “We’re all driven by trying to create the best album of our careers. Our fans deserve the very best version of Westlife possible and with this album we feel that we’ve achieved that.
“The album has everything that we love in music, heartfelt emotional songs and also great uptempo’s that are designed for our stadium performances.
“We couldn’t be happier with how the last few months in the studio have gone and we cannot wait for our fans to hear the end results.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Miles Kane wants to film a tour documentary.
The ‘Cry On My Guitar’ rocker says the “highs and lows” and “emotional” aspect of being on the road would make for an “interesting” watch.
He told the Daily Star newspaper’s Wired column: “We have been filming a lot of suff, any sort of documentary or anything I am interested in.
“With music, with any artist, I find it interesting the backstage, the hanging out the warm ups, the highs, the lows.
“There are so many emotions that go into being in the band, it would be easy to film and you could portray it so easily, you could make a great film.”
Miles has certainly clocked up the air miles, thanks to tours with Last Shadow Puppets and his solo career.
Meanwhile, the ‘Kingcrawler’ musician – who released new single ‘Can You See Me Now’ in June – previously admitted he would “never say never” to another Puppets reunion.
The 33-year-old rocker formed the side project with Arctic Monkeys frontman and longtime pal Alex Turner in 2008, and although fans had to wait a lengthy eight years between the release of their two albums, ‘The Age of the Understatement’ and 2016’s ‘Everything You’ve Come to Expect’, Miles has said there could be another revival of the group in the future.
He said: “The Last Shadow Puppets was good, I had great fun with that. Bring them back? Who knows, yeah! Never say never.”
The ‘Don’t Forget Who You Are’ hitmaker was previously a frontman for The Rascals before embarking on his solo endeavours, and after having been friends with Alex for several years, he’s often been compared to the superstar rocker.
Miles admitted the comparisons used to upset him when he was younger, but he now has the confidence to know he’s “amazing” on his own.
He said: “I think it’s inevitable – I used to feel the comparison when I was younger, but I don’t really care now, you know, you think what you think. I know I’m amazing and I know I make good music. I used to think of the comparisons like that, and it’s fair enough, I get it, I’d probably think the same, but I don’t really care now.”
Despite feeling the scrutiny in his early days, Miles He said: “I don’t blame people if they want to compare – it’s going to happen, so it’s cool. And it’s not like it’s not a bad thing, is it? His new album is great, it’s fantastic.”

OHMYGOSSIP — The Cure bassist Simon Gallup’s son Eden Gallup stepped in for his father at Fuji Rock Festival after he was forced to sit out the show due to a “serious personal situation”.
Robert Smith and co decided to go ahead with the Japanese gig on Sunday (28.07.19), without the 59-year-old band member, to avoid disappointing their fans and they brought out his 29-year-old musician son as his replacement.
In a statement, the ‘Friday I’m In Love’ band said: “A serious personal situation affecting our bassist Simon arose after the Paleo Festival show on Thursday, and as a consequence Simon was unable to travel with us to Japan.
“Very reluctant to disappoint our wonderful Japanese fans, and after much discussion, we decided to go ahead with our Fuji Festival headline on Sunday.”
The ‘Just Like Heaven’ hitmakers didn’t divulge what the “personal situation” was but they promised Simon will be back on stage on Saturday (03.08.19) for their Moscow gig and the rest of their summer festival dates.
They added: “We’re very grateful to Ed for reaching out across the generational divide to help us out, and join him in welcoming his dad back for our seven remaining summer festival shows.”
The Cure headlined Glastonbury in June and are set to release their first studio album in more than a decade.
Robert can’t wait for fans to hear the finished record as they “enjoyed” the creative process so much.
He said previously: “We’ve enjoyed it and we’ve just recorded a new album for the first time in 10 years.”
Although the band have finished their new album, the highly anticipated record is not titled and has no release date as of yet.
The 60-year-old frontman also added the band had made a comeback for the “right reasons” and while the group may cover different styles of music, the new record still “sounds us” because “it’s us doing it”.
The Cure were selected to be honoured in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in March and were inducted by Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor at the Cleveland ceremony.

OHMYGOSSIP — Paolo Nutini has purchased Lewis Capaldi’s Chewbacca mask for £10,000 and is raffling it off for Frightened Rabbit’s Tiny Changes charity.
The fellow Scottish musician – who Lewis has previously revealed as his biggest influence – stepped in after the original buyer of the ‘Star Wars’ prop, which the ‘Grace’ hitmaker wore at TRNSMT Festival to mock Noel Gallagher recently, failed to pay up the £7,401 bid they put on the item in a recent eBay auction for the band’s non-profit.
Tiny Changes was setup by the family of Frightened Rabbit’s late founding member Scott Hutchison – who tragically took his own life at the age of 36 in May last year – to improve mental health in children and young people.
Paolo, who had shared a stage with the band and was a huge fan of Scott’s “honest” songwriting, said: “I really wanted to find a way to help out Tiny Changes.
“Not only am I a big Frightened Rabbit fan, but I was lucky enough to share the stage with them on several occasions – most memorably for me on Hogmanay in Edinburgh in 2017.
“Scott was such a great and honest songwriter who wasn’t afraid to convey what he was going through in such a beautiful and honest way.
“People could hear and read their troubles in his lyrics and be reminded they weren’t alone in how they were feeling.
“That really is the power of music.
“The idea is now to give people another chance to take it home and contribute to this very important cause.”
Scott’s family said in a statement: “Once again we’ve been overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone who has gone above and beyond to make this happen.”
“We’d like to thank DF concerts, Paolo Nutini and his team and of course Lewis Capaldi and his face. We hope you can all be a part of this wonderfully weird little story and get your name in the pot to win this mask. Many tiny changes can start the movement for massive changes.”
At TRNSMT, Lewis dedicated his rendition of Oasis hit ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ to his “dear, dear father” Noel and changed the title to ‘Don’t Chewbac In Anger’.
The band’s former guitarist had fumed in an interview: “F****** Chewbacca should enjoy his 15 minutes. The greatest day of his life that I slagged him off or called him an idiot.
“It’s the greatest day of his f***** life so far.
“He’s just thinking, “Wow!” Well, I know you’re Scottish and all that, but f***** hell!
“It is like a third world country, but for f***’s sake, man, you must have had a better day than this. Surely!”
After the insult, Lewis instantly changed his Twitter username to Chewis Capaldi and updated his profile picture to him as Chewbacca.
Those wanting to own the mask of Han Solo’s companion have until August 5 to enter the competition by texting “TC” to 84902, with entries costing £1.

OHMYGOSSIP — The 1975 have been nominated for the 2019 Hyundai Mercury Prize.
The band – which is comprised of Matthew Healy, George Daniel, Ross MacDonald and Adam Hann – have been shortlisted for the prestigious Album of the Year prize for their third studio LP ‘A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships’. The record has already earned them the BRIT Award for British Album of the Year.
Indicating their joy at their nomination, a post on the official The 1975 Twitter account read: “// A B R I E F I N Q U I R Y I N T O O N L I N E R E L A T I O N S H I P S – 2 0 1 9 A L B U M O F T H E Y E A R N O M I N A T I O N // @MercuryPrize L O V E (sic)”
The ceremony – which will be hosted by Annie Mac – honours the best UK and Irish albums made over the past year, with 12 acts listed.
Other nominees include Anna Calvi, who has been recognised for her third album ‘Hunter’ and IDLES who got the nod for ‘Joy as an Act of Resistance’, whilst British rap is being represented at the ceremony with Dave’s ‘Psychodrama’, ‘Grey Area’ by Little Simz and BBC Sound of 2019 runner-up Slowthai, who is nominated for debut LP ‘Nothing Great About Britain’.
The list is completed by Cate Le Bon, Fontaines D.C., NAO, SEED Ensemble and Black Midi for their albums ‘Reward’, ‘Dogrel’, ‘Saturn’ , ‘Driftglass’ and ‘Schlagenheim’, respectively.
Last year’s winning record came from rock group Wolf Alice who picked up the statuette for their second album ‘Visions of a Life’.
Radio 1’s Annie Mac, ‘On My Mind’ hitmaker Jorja Smith, grime superstar Stormzy, Supergrass frontman Gaz Coombes and Vice UK editorial director and Guardian contributor Tshepo Mokoena will serve as judges.
The winner will be decided by the panel on the day of the ceremony on September 19.

OHMYGOSSIP — Royal Blood think their new album is the “best thing” they’ve done.
The rock duo – comprised of Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher – are soon to release their third studio LP following their 2017 record ‘How Did We Get So Dark?’ and teased that “the standard has raised” with their new material and they’re glad they made the decision not to “rush” their new tracks.
In an interview with NME, Mike, 29, said: “The standard has raised and we hit upon a couple of tunes that were better than anything we’d ever done before. It’s changed the temperature of the water a lot. We were like, ‘Oh s**t, what if we had a whole record of these?’ That led to us feeling like we’re not in a rush to put out something that’s mediocre. We’re going to hold out and put out the best thing we’ve ever done.”
The ‘Out Of The Black’ rocker previously hinted on Instagram that the pair were working on some “weird and scary” material and went on to explain that although they felt a “little self-conscious” at first, they were eventually happy they touched upon “new and fresh” music.
He said: “All things scary should feel weird at first. It’s like when you’ve got a new accessory or a piece of clothing that feels scary, you feel a little self-conscious going out in it.
“Then you catch your reflection and realise that you look cool as f**k. It’s one of those for us. If you’re not scared, then it means that you haven’t touched upon anything new or fresh.
“I think we were waiting for the fear.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Pete Tong’s upcoming ‘Classics’ album will feature “three or four original tracks”.
The house and electronic music legend is currently working on his third studio album to feature new material – following the release of 2016’s ‘Classic House’ and 2017’s ‘Ibiza Classics’ – and has said he’s now starting to incorporate “a few originals” into the track list.
Asked if he’s working on new music, the 58-year-old DJ said: “Well, this Classics album, it will be the third album with new material on it, now we’re actually going to introduce a few originals. I’m always doing, when time allows which is difficult, I’m always trying to pop out the odd club record.
“I’ve got another collaboration with John Monkman, just had a record out a few months ago with Emanuel Satie, and I’m always looking to put out 2 or 3 of those a year as well. The main focus for me creatively making music is to get this third album done, which is just about finished, and will include 3 or 4 original tracks.”
Pete is planning to release the album later this year, but says he won’t be playing any of the original tracks during his upcoming racecourse shows – at Sandown Park on Wednesday (31.07.19), and Newmarket on August 2 – because he wants to keep them a secret.
When asked if the new songs will be on his setlist, he said: “No. Under wraps! There will be tracks from the new album in the show, new versions. The original tracks won’t be brought into the show yet.”
The music icon – who’s been a DJ for almost 40 years – also admitted he never envisioned performing his classic DJ songs at sold-out arenas and festivals.
He said: “It started off as an invitation to curate, to perform at the Proms, it was a great honour. I kind of jumped at it but I had no idea what I was jumping into, I never obviously worked with an orchestra like that before but we had a big span to prepare it, did The Royal Albert Hall which was filmed amazingly by the BBC, fortunately the show went viral, creating an incredible roused opinion all over the world as well for us to go out and do it again.
“People were asking, ‘Will you be doing it again? Why weren’t we there? Why didn’t we know about it?’ ”
Pete Tong is playing Sandown Park Racecourse on July 31, and Newmarket Racecourses on August 2.

OHMYGOSSIP — Slowthai can’t wait to show Liam Gallagher’s fans “who he is” when he supports him on tour.
The 24-year-old rapper – whose real name is Tyron Frampton – will hit the road with the former Oasis star for an arena run this November, and although he’s an unusual choice to open for the 46-year-old rocker, he’s not fazed by winning over the crowd of parka monkeys.
Referencing Liam’s pal and peer Richard Ashcroft’s hit ‘Bittersweet Symphony’, Slowthai told Sky News: “I’m ready to just get on it.
“We’re going to hit it. I’m going to show all these people who want to hear ‘Bittersweet Symphony’ who I am.
“They’re going to know who I am.”
Liam was introduced to Slowthai – who has just been shortlisted for the 2019 Hyundai Mercury Prize for his acclaimed debut LP ‘Nothing Great About Britain’ – by his 18-year-old son Gene Gallagher.
‘Shockwave’ hitmaker Liam previously heaped praised on the ‘Nothing Great About Britain’ rapper, and even compared his energy to Sex Pistol’s legend Johnny Rotten.
He said: “I’ve seen Slowthai on Soccer AM and he had a bit of a Johnny Rotten vibe about him. I think he’s going to come on tour with us in November. Because it’s alright having a load of guitar bands on there, but it does get a bit…”
The tour – which is in support of Liam’s upcoming second solo album ‘Why Me? Why Not.’ – will kick off at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena on November 11, before hitting up Birmingham, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Newcastle and Sheffield before a hometown gig at Manchester Arena on November 20.
From there, they’ll head to Liverpool, Dublin and Nottingham, with the tour coming to an end with two nights at the O2 in London on November 28 and 29.

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria Beckham wants to reunite with the Spice Girls at Glastonbury.
Although the 45-year-old fashion designer did not join her bandmates for the 2019 ‘Spice World’ tour, she is reportedly keen to join them for a headlining performance at the Glastonbury music festival next year.
Mel told Mo Gilligan on ‘The Lateish Show’: “Funnily enough, my mum was at her mum’s summer party and Victoria was there, and she did actually mention to my mum that she’d love to do Glastonbury for their 50th next year.
“It’s not just me saying it, she actually did say that to my mum.”
Mel has, 44, has previously insisted that she and bandmates Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm and Geri Horner want to reunite again as soon as possible and cited Glastonbury as the perfect place.
She said: “You know what, it just happens to be Glastonbury’s 50th anniversary next year. I think that’d be a really good thing to do.
“And the girls are going to kill me for saying it but I don’t care. we owe it to our fans and ourselves. We are gonna do more and I don’t care what anyone says.”
And Mel C, 45, is also enthusiastic about a new tour.
She said: “We’d love to. We’re constantly discussing different ways in which we can do that. But I think for us right now, the big thing is we don’t want it to end.
“We’ve had an incredible run here in the UK. We’d really like to get further afield. We’ve had so many fans that have visited us from all over the world. People have come from New Zealand, North America, South America, everywhere.
“I think we’d really like to take it out to the fans that haven’t been able to travel but have supported us all these years. So that would be the immediate thing. But yeah, the legacy is important, and of course, we’d like that to live on. There are things in the pipeline, but it’s all a little bit early days for that.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Mabel says female pop stars are “standing together in a different way” than they used to.
The ‘Bad Behaviour’ singer – whose parents are Swedish pop star Neneh Cherry and Massive Attack producer Cameron McVey – believes long gone are the days of artists being pitted against one another, like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.
Speaking in her cover interview for The GLAMOUR UK August Digital Issue, for which she was photographed by Vicky Lawton, Mabel said: “There is definitely more love and support between women than there ever has been.
“The sense of competition between Christina or Britney or Beyoncé – that’s not a thing anymore. We’re standing together in a different way.”
The 23-year-old star also heaped praise on her mother for always being herself throughout her career and admitted she has never really seen the BRIT Award-winner as a “pop star”.
She said: “What’s crazy, though, is that I never thought of my mum as a pop star, it was just normal.
“My mum is such a perfect example of how you can break all the rules by being yourself – and that letting your personality shine through is all you need to do.”
The ‘Ring Ring’ hitmaker released her debut album ‘High Expectations’ last month, and previously revealed that she has the title of her “empowering, uplifting and disarmingly candid record” tattooed on her neck – and stated that the album tells the story of Mabel’s own extraordinary life-story as well as those who inspire her, such as Destiny’s Child and Lauryn Hill.
She said: “It’s not just a collection of songs, it has to tell a story and it has to have a thread and it has to have different nuances.
“But when I figured out what that story was, the rest poured out. I am gassed off the name. I’m actually going to get it tattooed!”

OHMYGOSSIP — David Guetta “doesn’t really care” about making hits.
The French DJ has sold over nine million albums and 30 million singles worldwide and he recently started releasing music under his alternate name Jack Back in a bid to get back to his house roots.
The ‘When Love Takes Over’ hitmaker has admitted that he “suffered from the pressure” that comes with being famous.
In an interview with The Sun newspaper, Guetta – who recently re-released his 2004 track ‘Stay (Don’t Go Away)’ with British star Raye – said: “I don’t really care as much about just making hits.
“Between Jack Back and ‘Stay’, which is a record I really love with Raye singing on it – who is not super famous – and it also being a house music record, has made me super happy.
“I did suffer from the pressure of it all. They say you are only as good as your last hit.
“So every time you don’t have a hit you have less chance of having another hit in the future.
“In the pop industry, people only want to work with artists that are hot.”
Guetta – who is hosting his ‘F*** Me I’m Famous’ residency at Hï Ibiza this summer – missed making tracks with a “simple, dirty groove” for fun, which is what he does when he works under Jack Back.
He said: “It’s amazing not to have the pressure making records as Jack Back.
“When you get successful then people expect you only to come with hits and you know, I’m a DJ so sometimes I just want to make a good groove that I will play at six in the morning and make records for the DJs in the clubs because this is how I started.
“I was lucky that my music crossed over but sometimes I was missing just a simple, dirty groove.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Biffy Clyro will play a pre-Q Awards show at Camden’s Roundhouse on October 15.
Ahead of the most rock ‘n’ roll night in the music calendar on October 16, the Scottish trio – comprised of Simon Neil and brothers James and Ben Johnston – will take to the stage at the iconic venue in London to kick off the festivities.
Simon said: “We are delighted to announce we will be playing one of Q’s legendary awards shows.
“And to return to the iconic Roundhouse – where we recorded ‘MTV Unplugged’ in 2017 – just makes it even more special for us. It’s gonna be a lot messier this time though! Hail Satan!”
Ted Kessler, Editor of Q Magazine, commented:
“We are all thrilled that a band of the size and stature of Biffy Clyro will be playing the pre-awards gig.
“To have a group more used to headlining arenas and stadiums cosying up to the crowd at the Roundhouse is an extremely rare treat and we can’t wait.”
There is also set to be a special post-awards concert at the venue immediately after the winners are announced.
Ted added: “I’m also madly excited about our line-up for the gig after the Q Awards themselves on the evening of October 16, but we’ll have to keep that one up our sleeves for a little longer. In the meantime, Mon The Biff!”
The line-up and the all important shortlist for the Q Awards will be announced shortly.
Noel Gallagher was the big winner at the 2018 ceremony, as he took home two awards.
The 52-year-old former Oasis rocker scooped up the gongs for Best Solo Artist and Outstanding Contribution to Music.
A total of 17 awards were presented during the evening – which was hosted by British comedian and TV host Mo Gilligan – with Paul Weller also winning big on the night as he took home the award for Best Act in the World Today.
Elsewhere, legendary Chic star Nile Rodgers was named Q Legend, whilst Echo & The Bunnymen frontman Ian McCulloch was honored with the Q Icon award, and Suede star Brett Anderson was recognised with the Lifetime Achievement gong.
Awards were also handed out to the likes of Wolf Alice, who picked up the Best Live Act honor, The Kinks, whose 1968 album ‘The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society’ won them the Classic Album award, and Biffy’s Simon nabbed the Fender Play Award.
A tie was awarded for Best Breakthrough Act, meaning both IDLES and Goat Girl were given a trophy, whilst teenage rockers Let’s Eat Grandma won Best Album for their second studio venture ‘I’m All Ears’.
When the ceremony drew to a close, it was award winners Wolf Alice who followed up the festivities with a sold-out live show.

OHMYGOSSIP — Professor Green is set to return to the stage with his ‘M.O.T.H Tour’ for the first time since fracturing his neck.
The ‘Just Be Good To Green’ hitmaker suffered severe injuries during a seizure in February and was forced to cancel his UK shows hours before his first concert of the run.
Now he’s recovered, and ahead of the dates, which kick off in Oxford on November 16 and wrap at The Forum in London on November 18, he’s also treated fans to new track ‘Matters of the Heart’, the lead single from his upcoming ‘M.O.T.H.’ EP, which is due for release in September.
The new track follows ‘Photographs’ featuring Rag’n’Bone Man, which was released last year.
Green – whose real name is Stephen Manderson – credited his housemate Ruari Stainfield-Bruce with saving his life after the seizure.
He also praised close friend Eddie Jenkins – who has produced his new single – and his dog Arthur, for coming to his rescue.
Posting a picture of Ruari cuddling Eddie’s dog Arthur, Green wrote: “If this girl didn’t hear my fall who knows where I’d be. Love you @ruari_sb.
“Also love the photographer for looking out for me life a proper friend, love you too bro @eddiejenkins.
“Also love Arthur but he doesn’t have an insta yet. Don’t forget to tell the people you love how important and special they are as we saw today from my close call, you never know whats around the corner. (sic)”
The 35-year-old rapper had previously posted three pictures of himself in a neck brace after being rushed to hospital, where he told fans about his horror seizure.
He wrote: “I had seizure this morning which resulted in a fall while I was packing for tour. Depending on how you look at this fall I was extremely lucky. I fractured vertebrae in my neck and subsequently had to cancel my tour that was due to start today. I’ll be back in the winter with a bigger tour. I’ve had two further seizures and am lucky I didn’t break my neck. Really f***ing lucky. Thanks for baring with me. most importantly thank you to our NHS, heroes amongst men (and women). (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Chance The Rapper thinks Kanye West is an “amazing friend”.
The 26-year-old rap star has revealed Kanye was a major influence behind his new album, even though the outspoken musician doesn’t feature on the record.
Speaking to Queen Radio about Kanye, Chance explained: “He’s one of the most supportive people in my life.
“I went and spent some time with him a couple weeks before the album dropped. He just gave me some ideas. We’ve spent a lot of time on the phone in the past two days. That’s fellowship and it’s strengthening each other.”
Chance – who has collaborated with the likes of Nicki Minaj, John Legend and Shawn Mendes on his new record, ‘The Big Day’ – praised Kanye for allowing him to think and to talk so “freely”.
He continued: “There’s not as few people as you think that use God as their strength.
“He lets me talk very freely about what I like or dislike or what I feel we could do better. Imagine having an amazing friend that’s loyal, supports you, and wants to see you do great, and that person being Kanye West.”
Chance also revealed how his collaboration with Shawn, 20, came about.
He said: “I’ve known him for about four or five years.
“I met him at a show I played a long time ago, and we just never got some music together. He was in Chicago a few weeks ago and I had this house beat I was working on, and he came through the studio and was like, ‘I love this one.’ He laid the vocals and it was incredible.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Numerous lawsuits tied to Drake’s first six albums were resolved on Friday (26.07.19).
The 32-year-old rap star – who is now among the best-selling musicians in the world – signed with Aspire Music Group in 2008 and the label subsequently accused Cash Money Records of failing to pay its due share from his first six albums.
Aspire’s argument centred on its claim that it signed Drake on an exclusive recording agreement in 2008, only for the ‘Hotline Bling’ hitmaker to strike a deal with Cash Money in June 2009.
Under the supposed terms of that agreement, Drake was afforded the chance to record for the label in exchange for one-third of the net profits as well as one-third of the master recording copyrights of his first six albums.
According to Aspire, the label only received “a few modest advances” for Drake’s first six albums, Billboard reports.
What’s more, Aspire said that monthly accounting – which it was supposedly entitled to – was irregular and erroneous, before it stopped altogether.
The company alleged, too, that Cash Money made a conscious effort to cut Aspire out of their arrangement entirely, even though it had a legally-binding agreement with the rapper.
Aspire’s claims have now been resolved, but the terms of the settlement have not been revealed publicly.
