OHMYGOSSIP — John Newman started putting a blond streak in his hair again because no one recognised him.
The ‘Love Me Again’ hitmaker has opened up about suffering from depression after the release of his 2016 LP, ‘Olé’, which admits he wasn’t a fan of, and admitted he started to dress like he did when he first came out because he wasn’t getting stopped for selfies and autographs anymore.
In an interview with The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column, he said: “I put a record out that I didn’t like. And it didn’t go to No1 – of course.
“I was worrying why no one liked it and worrying about being judged and it was like I had become everything I didn’t want to be.
“It was ripping me apart. I fell into this depression.
“One moment everyone is singing your name, the next minute that stops.
“You go into the petrol station and no one recognises you.
“So I’d be putting the blond streak back in my hair and putting the suit on.
“It got to the point where I was like, ‘Why am I doing this?’
“So I got my scabby T-shirts out and started building cars and doing stuff I enjoy.”
As well as making a record which he wasn’t proud of, John was also told he had developed a second brain tumour, which required him to undergo radiotherapy, in 2016, after having previously beaten the growth once before.
The 29-year-old star felt like quitting music, but after making a comeback with new EP, ‘A.N.I.M.A.L’, he feels like he’s starting a new chapter in his career and he no longer feels the need to put a streak in his hair or wear suits all the time.
He said: “I wanted to start my career again. I feel so good now. I’m releasing songs I love, when I want to release them.
“And I don’t have to wear a f***ing suit.”

OHMYGOSSIP — James Blunt tries to be “cool” but accepts it’s “never” going to happen.
The ‘High’ hitmaker has a tendency to crowd surf at his festival shows, and once even attempted to do so through 50,000 people on a Union Jack inflatable boat, but even when doing stunts like that he says he never ends up looking “cool”.
Speaking in an interview with the Daily Star newspaper’s Wired column, he said: “I’d love to be cool but I’m never gonna get that title.
“The nearest I got to being cool was at Glastonbury and I was ­playing on the Pyramid Stage and I thought I’ll crowd surf.
“So I threw myself off the stage and I crowd surfed as the sun was going down at Glasto and I thought you know what, ‘I am cool, I am!’
“Then I went back to the stage and I realised it was too high for me to climb back on and there was a man on the stage and I looked into his face and said, ‘Help me’.
“I realised he was a BBC TV cameraman broadcasting to the nation. “Not cool, never going to be.”
The 45-year-old singer has developed a reputation for his amusing and sarcastic messages on Twitter, and James claims that his ability to not take the platform “too seriously” has helped him to maintain a healthy relationship with social media.
The ‘You’re Beautiful’ hitmaker – who has 1.8 million followers on Twitter – previously explained: “I don’t really care about it so much. I just think that humans should be kind to each other and treat each other nicer.
“But on social media, some people don’t. So, I laugh to myself when I’m reading them, and don’t take them too seriously.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Goodbye My Lover’ hitmaker recently opened up about the great deal of “loneliness” he feels when he’s touring the world without his wife and young son.
James penned the track ‘Cold’ for his upcoming album ‘Once Upon A Mind’ about “the ocean between” him and Sofia Wellesley – who he tied the knot with in 2014 – and their three-year-old boy, whose name they are keeping private, when he’s playing across the pond and how hard it is for his family and him to be apart for such long periods.
He said: “I have a young family, I have a wife who I leave at home for extended periods of time while I’m away on tour and all of that has an impact of loneliness for me while I’m away on tour and a huge responsibility for those I leave behind.
“If I am touring in America as I constantly do for months on end there is an ocean between us physically as well as metaphorically.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lil’ Kim paid a touching tribute to Biggie as she collected the BET I Am Hip Hop Award on Tuesday night (08.10.19).
The 45-year-old rapper – who dated the late music legend between 1993 and 1997 – said the ‘Hypnotize’ hitmaker is still there guiding her and and admitted she will “always love him” after she collected her honour from Rick Ross.
Speaking on stage at the ceremony, which was aired live on TV from the Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta, she said: “I don’t know if ya’ll know what it’s like to have an angel following you all the time, but that’s Biggie.
“I’m gonna always love him and I’m gonna always ride for him.
“I don’t play about him. That’s just what it is: Brooklyn.”
Kim also took to the stage to perform a career-spanning medley which saw her joined on stage by O.T. Gensis, Musiq Soulchild and Junior M.A.F.I.A.
The show-stopping set saw her open with ‘Lighters Up’ from 2005’s ‘The Naked Truth’.
Junior then joined her for ‘Player’s Anthem’ and she also included her verse from Puff Daddy’s ‘It’s All About The Benjamins.’
Meanwhile, the evening was dominated by J. Cole, who took home a total of three awards.
The 34-year-old rapper won best Lyricist, Impact Track for ‘Middle Child’ and Featured Verse for his appearance on 21 Savage’s ‘a lot’.
Cardi B, Travis Scott, Megan Thee Stallion and Lil Nas X won two awards apiece.
Cardi’s ‘Money’ promo won best Hip Hop Video and she was also honoured with the Made You Look prize for her style.
Travis’ ‘Astroworld’ picked up Album of the Year and he was also named Video Director of the Year.
Rising star Megan Thee Stallion bagged Hot Ticket Performer and ‘Fever’ was named Best Mixtape.
And Lil Nas X’s Billy Ray Cyrus remix of viral hit ‘Old Town Road’ was honoured with Best Collab and Single of the Year.
The late Nipsey Hussle – who was tragically shot dead in March aged 33 – was posthumously awarded the title of MVP of the Year and Jay-Z was named Hustlers of the Year.

OHMYGOSSIP — The Killers have shared a list of song names which could potentially feature on their new album.
Brandon Flowers and co posted a picture of a whiteboard with 13 tracks written on it and six of them had a tick next to them, which could suggest they have made the final cut for their follow-up to 2017’s ‘Wonderful Wonderful’.
Those songs are: ‘Blowback’, ‘Party People’, ‘When Dreams Run Dry’, Dying Breed’, ‘Caution’ and ‘Man and Woman’.
The other titles are: ‘Spirit of Mystery’, ‘My God’, ‘Running Towards’, ‘Fire + Bone’, ‘Just Can’t Quit’, ‘Mirage’ and C’est La Vie’.
The ‘Somebody Told Me’ hitmakers’ latest cryptic post comes after they shared more of their handwritten notes on social media in April.
Brandon also revealed he and his bandmates had been busy in the studio “for a few months” and have a whole list of new music that could feature on their new album, which they were producing at the rate of one a week.
He said: “Yeah, we’ve been at it for a few months. The idea is to try and get something that we’re excited about – maybe about song one a week. So far, we’ve hit that target and the list is growing. We’ll take inventory here soon and see what we’ve got.”
And the ‘Mr. Brightside’ hitmaker said the band were experimenting with different genres of music and sounds.
He added: “Yeah, we’ve been in Utah doing it. That’s where I fell in love with music for the first time; so it’s interesting to be there again and hear some of that music with the geography matching the sensation. Some of that stuff is starting to resurface and a lot of that had to do with synthesiser music. It’s always been part of our DNA but it’s definitely creeping up.”
The frontman has no plans to make their new material as politically charged as ‘Land of the Free’ was because he wanted to make a “specific” statement with that music.
He explained: “No, that was a very specific thing that I wanted to get across. I’m really happy with how it turned out. It was a really obvious statement that I was making. It’s very rare that you have something that you feel that strongly about and get across in a few minutes. You’re allowed to be more vague when it comes to a regular pop song or whatever it is that you’re trying to tackle. I definitely wasn’t trying to leave much to the imagination with that song.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Yungblud has released his Dan Reynolds collaboration ‘Original Me’.
The 22-year-old rocker has teamed up with the Imagine Dragons frontman on the new track from his upcoming EP ‘The Underrated Youth’ and he has revealed he and Dan shared a “mutual raw energy” in the studio which meant the song was made in one day.
Yungblud explained: “This song is about accepting the parts of yourself that you hate and realising your biggest superpower is to be originally, authentically yourself.
“Working with Dan Reynolds was such a dream come true as he is a huge inspiration for me.
“The song literally came out of the studio within a day.
“The mutual raw energy between us made this song what it is.”
The ‘Loner’ rocker has delayed the release of the EP, pushing it back from October 11 to October 18, because there is one song which he thinks still requires some tweaking and he wants to make sure it’s “perfect” for his loyal fans.
Explaining his decision to delay the project in a video posted on Instagram, the singer – whose real name is Dominic Harrison – said last week: “Yo what’s going on? So I was in the studio last night listening to the EP, and it occurred to me that one of the songs isn’t quite right yet. “And I’ve got a bit of a favour to ask you.
“I just want to keep it real with you guys, and I just wanna ask if I can have one more week on the EP. If I can push it back to the 18th from the 11th – just because I want everything that I release and give to us and make a part of our history to be absolutely perfect. “And one of the songs, I don’t think is yet.”
Yungblud released his song with Dan, which he described as “mental”, to make it up to his fans.
He added: “So I’m sorry to anyone who’s going to be well disappointed but I promise you it’s coming out on the 18th, and I will be dropping something next week, and its going to be mental, to make up for it.
“It’s going to be crazy. I love you all man, and I can’t wait for you to hear this music, I think it’s the best yet.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher has mocked his estranged brother Liam for relying on songwriters to help him make his new solo album.
The 52-year-old guitarist has scoffed at Liam, 47, for co-writing his latest LP ‘Why Me? Why Not.’ with producers Greg Kurstin and Andrew Wyatt and a handful of other musicians insisting he finds it confusing how so many people can share a songwriting credit.
Noel – who is responsible for writing the majority of Oasis’ biggest hits – said: “I’ve heard ‘Shockwave’ – five people wrote that song by all accounts. Don’t you think that’s amazing?”
‘Shockwave’ is the first single from the number one record and was penned by the trio with Adele collaborator Kurstin credited as the main producer.
Noel also mocked Liam for referencing Oasis’ 1994 single ‘Live Forever’ in his track ‘One Of Us’ – penned by Liam, Kurstin and Damon McMahon – which contains the line “you said we’d live forever” and has been interpreted as Liam offering an olive branch to his older sibling whom he has not spoken to since Noel quit the group in 2009.
In an interview with The Face, the ‘This Is The Place’ singer said: “I wonder if they had pictures of me in the studio when they were writing that s**t. I remember once in the Oasis days, he’d been up to the studio on his own and every line in the song was a title of an Oasis song. It was some incidental blues nonsense. It went, ‘You said we were gonna live forever, and now that things are getting better…’ And I asked him what it was called. And you know what it was called? Untitled, ha!”
Liam previously admitted he wanted to write songs with Noel when they were in Oasis together and share “Gallagher – Gallagher” songwriting credit with him, however, he insists he was left on his own to pen singles such as ‘Songbird’ and ‘I’m Outta Time’.
Noel has now claimed that it was not him but Liam who stopped that from happening because he never came to the studio with songs ready to work on.
He stated: “Well, there could have been ​’Gallagher-Gallagher’, but he wasn’t into it. But it’s down to that thing: if you all turn up at a session and I’ve written 26 songs, and everyone else has got f**k-all, and you’re sat with a producer who’s actually got to wrap this album up within three months, what’s he gonna do? Sit around watching everybody acting like a chimp’s tea party? Is he f**k. He’s gonna go, ​”Well, [Noel’s] got it all written already.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Haim confronted Portishead’s Geoff Barrow after he blasted them online.
The trio – comprised of sisters Danielle, Alana and Este Haim – were furious with Geoff for constantly dissing them on Twitter so when they were on the same bill at a festival in Finland, Alana confronted him.
She told The Guardian newspaper: “Every f**king week he would say more and more shit. Then we were at this festival somewhere in Finland and Portishead were headlining, we were on just before. I wasn’t going to say anything, but then he started tweeting about us while we were right there in the next dressing room, putting the guitar girl emoji next to the poop emoji, so I thought f**k this I’ve got to say something. I was 21 years old at the time and I saw him, and I was so f**king angry and I literally just got into his face, I said: ‘Stop f**king talking sh*t about me and my sisters on the internet.’
“He looked at me and said: ‘Nermmmmmmmm waaaaaaa, blurgggggggh.’ I was expecting him to go: ‘You know what, I don’t like your f**king music’ and then we could have ended it, but all he could do, after months of saying how much he hated us as women and our music, was make a nondescript noise then slowly back away into his dressing room.”
The group also admitted they are frustrated that they are not taken seriously as rock musicians like male artists are and insist they can compete with their male counterparts.
Danielle said: “I mean, there was definitely a time when we wanted to be on the rock stations, and they were saying that we weren’t rock enough, which felt like a big slap in the face, especially when they play so many bands that make the same shit as us but they’re men and they play them.”
Alana added: “What rock bands don’t understand about us, is that we make fun of ourselves; we love to have fun but sometimes that makes people think we don’t take music seriously.”
And Este said: “Yeah! I can go toe-to-toe with any male rock band and blow them out of the water.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Charli XCX was inspired by Ed Sheeran on her new album.
The 27-year-old singer has revealed she took inspiration from the chart-topping pop star whilst she was creating her latest album, ‘Charli’, which was released in September.
Speaking to Vogue magazine, she explained: “The way we wrote ‘Official’ was very: ‘Let’s try and make a perfectly constructed pop song.’ We wanted to make a Max Martin-We sat around and said, ‘We need to change this word to make it sound like what Ed Sheeran would say.’ That was what we said: ‘What would Ed Sheeran say?’
“He’s really good at writing those kinds of personal, intimate songs. It’s like sharing secrets; he’s very conversational in his lyrics. That was the atmosphere we were trying to evoke.”
Last month, meanwhile, Charli revealed having her music leaked online “really affected” her.
The ‘Gone’ hitmaker was forced to rewrite her entire third studio album – the follow-up to 2014’s ‘Sucker’ – after the songs started to spread around the web and be shared among her fans.
According to Charli, the incident made her feel like she had no ownership over her own music.
She continued: “They feel they just want the music and that leaking it is helping me.
“I didn’t really talk about it because I didn’t want to encourage more of it, but you know, having your work stolen is really sad.
“It made me feel like I didn’t own it anymore.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Niall Horan wishes he’d gone to university.
The former One Direction star has made no secret of the fact that he wishes during his time in the boy band that he could have led a normal life and now he has admitted would have like to have lived the student life and studied geography or biology.
Asked if is “envious” of his pals back home in Ireland, he told Grazia magazine: “One hundred per cent.
“All the time.
“I would have loved to have gone to uni.
“I didn’t know, like I was 16.
“I filled out a form for a TV show. And then six months later, I was in one of the biggest bands in the world. It’s just weird.”
The ‘Flicker’ hitmaker – who released his new single ‘Nice To Meet Ya’ this week – recently admitted he still doesn’t see himself as a “superstar”.
He said: “There’s a humble side to being Irish that is quite appealing.
“Of course, a humble person wouldn’t say that! But I don’t see myself as a superstar or anything like that.”
These days Niall can get around town without worrying about being stopped by fans “every five seconds”, but he admitted it was “frustrating being hidden away” during One Direction’s heyday.
He said: “I can live a normal life. I’m a chilled-out fella but it was frustrating being hidden away. You had a fear of going out cos you’d get stopped every five seconds.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Tyler, the Creator thinks he was treated like a “terrorist” by former UK Prime Minister Theresa May.
The 28-year-old rapper was banned from entering the country in 2015 by the then-Home Secretary after he was accused of encouraging violence and homophobia through his lyrics.
Reflecting on the incident, Tyler joked: “She’s gone, so I’m back.”
According to Tyler, it took many lawyers and letters, as well as time and money, before he was allowed to return to the UK.
And the chart-topping star remains angry about the way he was treated.
He told the Guardian newspaper: “Then you get the official thumbs up. It was like: damn, finally, but it was so stupid to have to endure that. I got treated like a terrorist.
“Yeah. I got treated like I was a murderer.”
In fact, at one stage, Tyler decided he simply didn’t have the desire to return to the UK.
He shared: “It was kind of stupid, and after a while I was like: I don’t even want to come back. But it was more the principle of: ‘Y’all really did this, over this? In comparison to other s**t people do, that y’all let in?’ So I’m happy that I got back. I feel like I won some invisible fight.”
Asked whether the length of the ban – which was three to five years – came as a surprise, he added: “Yeah, it surprised me. But then I remembered – I’m dark-skinned, so, ahh, all right, I get it. I mean, I don’t point my finger at that at first, but I looked at every outcome and I looked at every option.
“And after doing that six times, then you say, OK, what’s the difference between everyone else and me? And then you land on that.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ginger Baker has passed away at the age of 80.
The legendary musician – who found fame in the 1960s alongside Eric Clapton and Jack Bruce as part of the band Cream – died “peacefully” in hospital on Sunday morning (06.10.19).
The family wrote on his official account: “We are very sad to say that Ginger has passed away peacefully in hospital this morning. Thank you to everyone for your kind words over the past weeks.”
On September 25, it was announced via social media that Ginger was “critically ill” in hospital.
The family said in a statement at the time: “Ginger is critically ill in hospital. Please keep him in your prayers tonight.”
A few days later, the family said Ginger was “holding his own” as they thanked them all for their “good wishes”. They added: “He is receiving visits from close family & very special friends.”
Beatles legend Paul McCartney led the tributes to Ginger, writing: “Ginger Baker, great drummer, wild and lovely guy. We worked together on the ‘Band on the Run’ album in his ARC Studio, Lagos, Nigeria. Sad to hear that he died but the memories never will. X Paul (sic)”
Whilst filmmaker Edgar Wright said of the legendary drummer: “RIP the music giant that was Ginger Baker. The beat behind too many favourite songs from Cream, The Graham Bond Organisation and Alexis Corner’s Blues Incorporated. (sic)”
Spandau Ballet’s Gary Kemp wrote: “RIP the great Ginger Baker. The reason so many drummers wanted a double-bass drum. #GingerBaker (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody is worried he will get dementia.
The ‘Chasing Cars’ hitmaker fears he could be struck down by the disease, which causes memory loss, after his father suffered the same fate.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column, he said: “My dad has dementia and I’ve always had memory problems. That’s been a lifetime problem. I’m sure that it will run to me and that’s why I’m trying to get on top of it in my forties, rather than leave it any later. Hopefully I’ve got a few years yet before that affects me. Memory is close to my heart and on my mind. I’ve been trying to do memory exercises.”
Meanwhile, Gary previously credited his acupuncturist pal with saving his life after he got seriously ill in 2016, which turned out to be a serious infection.
He said: “I had my tickets and flights booked for all the matches and was going to France with four friends. I woke up one morning and wasn’t feeling very well – physically unwell. I was doing my exercises and I bent down to touch my toes and when I came up, it was like it was an earthquake. I was dizzy and everything was moving. I phoned a friend who lived nearby and went to see a doctor. I had tests and basically my whole head, eyes, ears, nose and sinuses were infected. I was told I needed an operation and there was no way I could get on a plane. She also asked me to calm down on the drinking. So I stopped. That was two years ago and I credit my friend with saving my life. The song ‘Heal Me’ is written all about the experience.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Billie Eilish’s brother Finneas finds it’s more “nerve-wracking” performing solo than with his sister.
The 22-year-old musician – who produced Billie’s acclaimed debut album ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’ – has revealed he’s performed live with his 17-year-old pop superstar sibling more times than he has on his own and admitted that it’s much more relaxed and “so easy” playing with the ‘Bad Guy’ hitmaker.
Speaking to Billboard at the ACL Music Festival in Austin, Texas, where he performed on Saturday (05.10.19), he said: “My job is so easy with Billie.
“I just get to play cool bass lines and play keys, and jam out with our incredible drummer Andrew.
“When I’m on stage right now, I’m the only person on stage, I don’t have a band or anything, so it’s just me and I’m sweating, and wearing a suit, and tripping over myself. It’s super nerve-wracking.
“I’ve also performed way more with Billie than on my own, so maybe in two years I’ll feel differently.
“But today, I’ve already done my show today and I’m doing Billie’s in three hours. And I’m not nervous at all, I’m just excited.”
And it’s not just on stage and in the studio that Finneas has been supporting his younger sibling.
The ‘My Strange Addiction’ singer recently revealed she talked to her brother about how she dreams of having a quiet “life” away from public scrutiny despite wanting to be successful.
Speaking about chats she’s had with her family member and collaborator, she said: “We can’t have this be the rest of our lives. We were talking about it the other day, we’re just like, ‘I’m 17, dude.’ I can’t have my life exactly like this forever, and he can’t either.
“He’s just become an adult. He just got a house. He has a girlfriend and wants a dog. You know what I’m saying?
“It’s a weird balance, because I want to grow in my life, and grow up and have a life. But I already have my career.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Steve Winwood has paid a touching tribute to his late Blind Faith bandmate Ginger Baker.
The 80-year-old Cream drummer died “peacefully” in hospital on Sunday morning (06.10.19), and the ‘Higher Love’ hitmaker – who made up the supergroup with Ginger, Eric Clapton and Ric Grech – has paid his respects to the legendary musician, who he hailed for his “inimitable style of playing”.
Steve – who was later a member of Ginger’s Air Force band, who formed in 1969 following the disbandment of Blind Faith – admitted that despite his “somewhat abrasive exterior”, the ‘White Room’ sticksman was actually “a very sensitive human being with a heart of gold”.
In a statement posted on his website, the 71-year-old star said: “A very sad loss, and my condolences to his family and friends.
A loss also for his contribution to music.
“He was well-grounded in jazz from very early on, and later managed to combine this with African and rock music to create his own inimitable style of playing.
I was lucky to play with him in Ginger Baker’s Air Force, and to meet and work with such luminaries as Phil Seamen, Harold McNair and Graham Bond.
“And also in Blind Faith with Eric Clapton and Rick Grech.
“Although his appointment was very unorthodox (he showed up on the doorstep and said, ‘Here I am’) – he made a great contribution to the Blind Faith album which has withstood the test of time.
“Beneath his somewhat abrasive exterior, there was a very sensitive human being with a heart of gold.
“He’ll be missed.”
The likes of Sir Paul McCartney, filmmaker Edgar Wright, Brian Wilson and Spandau Ballet’s Gary Kemp have paid tribute to the music legend since his death was confirmed by his family.
Beatles legend McCartney led the tributes to Ginger, writing: “Ginger Baker, great drummer, wild and lovely guy. We worked together on the ‘Band on the Run’ album in his ARC Studio, Lagos, Nigeria. Sad to hear that he died but the memories never will. X Paul (sic)”
Whilst Edgar said: “RIP the music giant that was Ginger Baker. The beat behind too many favourite songs from Cream, The Graham Bond Organisation and Alexis Corner’s Blues Incorporated. (sic)”
And Gary wrote: “RIP the great Ginger Baker. The reason so many drummers wanted a double-bass drum. #GingerBaker (sic)”
Ginger’s family wrote on Sunday (06.10.19): “We are very sad to say that Ginger has passed away peacefully in hospital this morning. Thank you to everyone for your kind words over the past weeks.”
On September 25, it was announced via social media that Ginger was “critically ill” in hospital.
The family said in a statement at the time: “Ginger is critically ill in hospital. Please keep him in your prayers tonight.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Anna Calvi has been announced as the recipient of Q Magazine’s 2019 Fender Play Award.
The ‘Peaky Blinders’ composer – who received her third Mercury Prize nomination this year for her third album ‘Hunter’ – has been selected by guitar makers Fender and the music publication for the special honour to recognise her outstanding guitar playing and will collect her prize at the Q Awards in association with Absolute Radio at Camden’s Roundhouse in London on October 16.
Neil Whitcher, Head of Artist Relations (EMEA) at Fender, commented: “It is an honour to dedicate the Fender Play Award to Anna Calvi this year.
“As an artist at the top of their game Anna’s playing prowess knows no bounds, continually exploring and pushing the sonic boundaries of the guitar.
“It has been an incredible year for Anna filled with powerful performances including a breathtaking headline show for Fender at The Great Escape to support her most recent album ‘Hunter’.”
This month’s ceremony – which will be hosted for the first time by a female artist, with Nadine Shah taking over from comedian Mo Gilligan – sees Billie Eilish and The 1975 lead the nominations with four nods each.
The 17-year-old singer and the ‘Love It If We Made It’ hitmakers have both secured a total of four nominations out of seven categories.
Billie is up for Q Best Track, Q Best Solo Act, Q Best Album, and Q Best Act In The World Today, and she will compete against her nomination rivals The 1975 in the Best Track, Best Album, and Best Act In The World Today categories.
The quartet – comprised of Matty Healy, Adam Hann, Ross MacDonald, and George Daniel – are also nominated for Q Best Live Performance.
Following closely behind with three nominations each are Stormzy – who is up for Best Track, Best Solo Act, and Best Act In The World Today – and Lewis Capaldi, who is in with a chance of winning Q Whilst Little Simz, slowthai, AJ Tracey, Liam Gallagher, Lana Del Rey and Dave all received two nods each.
The awards ceremony will be preceded by an exclusive and already sold-out pre-awards concert at the same venue on October 15, where Biffy Clyro – who are nominated for Best Act In The World Today – are set to headline.
US rockers Jimmy Eat World were recently added to the line-up for the show.

OHMYGOSSIP — Camila Cabello asks Ed Sheeran for advice “all the time”.
The ‘Señorita’ hitmaker teamed up with the British superstar on the track ‘South of the Border’ on his ‘No.6 Collaborations Project’ – which also features Cardi B – and the singer has explained how she looks to the ‘Shape of You’ hitmaker as a friend rather than an artist after being a fan of his since she was a teenager.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s Dan Wootton, Camila said: “We’ve been friends for a really long time, but I feel like I separate the person that’s my friend from the person that’s Ed as an artist now.
“It’s because when I was younger, especially when I was, like 12, I said in an interview I liked him before his album ‘Plus’ came out.
“I was just a fan. I would talk about him in every interview until I was 15. ‘Who’s your favourite artist?’ and I would say, ‘Ed Sheeran’.
“He was, like, my musical hero. Probably him and Taylor Swift. They’re tied.”
Camila can now also call Taylor Swift a friend after she opened for the ‘You Need To Calm Down’ hitmaker on her ‘Reputation Stadium Tour’ last year, which is so “surreal” for the ‘Havana’ singer.
She continued: “It’s been so cool just to get to know them.
“I ask Ed for advice all the time about different things.
“The first time we were in the studio writing together was just so surreal to me.
“That was an insane childhood dream that came through.”
Meanwhile, the former Fifth Harmony star previously revealed how Ed made her “want to experience love”.
The 22-year-old singer-songwriter – who is now dating Shawn Mendes – shared that her music career was, in part, inspired by Ed’s 2011 album ‘+’ – which featured hits such as ‘The A Team’ and ‘Lego House’ – and even admitted the record fuelled her interest in romance, too.
She said: “This album, ‘+’, was the first album that made me really want to start taking my love for music seriously and it made me wanna pick up a guitar and write about love.
“And before I could even write about love, it made me want to experience love.”
