OHMYGOSSIP — Halsey’s upcoming LP ‘Manic’ features interludes from Alanis Morissette, BTS’ Suga and rapper Dominic Fike.
The ‘Nightmare’ hitmaker took to social media on Tuesday (03.12.19) to share a video of herself writing out the song titles for her hotly-anticiapted follow-up to 2017’s ‘Hopeless Fountain Kingdom’ in a notebook with a black marker pen.
She simply captioned the post: “January 17, 2020.”
Halsey previously collaborated with K-pop superstars BTS on ‘Boy With Luv’.
Whilst many fans speculated that the track entitled ‘Dominic’s Interlude’ might be about her ex-boyfriend Yungblud – whose real name is Dominic Harrison – she tagged rapper Dominic Fike, whose music video for ‘Phone Numbers’ she featured in.
The 25-year-old pop star – who is dating actor Evan Peters – previously confessed ‘Manic’ is her “angry album”, and insisted that whilst she didn’t go into the process feeling “mad”, she ended up recording some pretty angsty lyrics.
She said of the single ‘Graveyard’: “Yeah, it’s very human. A lot of those sounds are super organic. It’s a lot of people sounds … it’s skin, you hear skin, you can tell people are making it.”
And on how ‘Without Me’ differs from the new material, Halsey added: “I sat there to make this album and I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m going to make an angry album.’ And I wasn’t mad. It’s exciting … I’m closing a chapter in this record that I feel very much like I needed to put the final word on, put the nail in the coffin, if you will. ‘Graveyard’, marry it.
“‘Without Me’ is this like blind declaration of love. In some ways it’s a metaphor. It’s about like loving someone to death, kind of. And then in other ways it’s actually pretty literal. There’s a lot of moments in the song that are pretty literal, which was kind of scary to write about. But you know me, I find the scary thing and I do it.”
‘Manic’ is released on January 17.

OHMYGOSSIP — The Who are “still traumatised” by the death of 11 fans at their concert in Cincinnati 40 years ago.
The ‘My Generation’ hitmakers – now comprised of surviving members Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend – were left devastated by the tragic incident at their show at the US city’s Riverfront Coliseum on December 3 1979, which saw gig-goers crushed to death as they entered the building during a stampede.
Guitarist Pete told Cincinnati’s WCPO: “I’m still traumatised by it.
“It’s a weird thing to have in your autobiography that, you know, 11 kids died at one of your concerts. It’s a strange, disturbing, heavy load to carry.”
Frontman Roger added: “That dreadful night of the third of December became one of the worst dreams I’ve had in my life.”
The ‘Won’t Get Fooled Again’ hitmakers will return to the area for the first time since the fatal incident, when they play the BB&T Arena at Northern Kentucky University on April 23, 2020.
The band said they will donate part of the money from ticket sales to the memorial scholarship fund, which was setup to benefit students in the suburb of Finneytown, where three of the children killed attended the local high school.
Roger and Pete were speaking in the documentary ‘The Who: The Night That Changed Rock’, which aired on Tuesday night (03.12.19).
Roger visited the Finneytown High School memorial site in 2018.
And the 75-year-old singer and the legendary band’s late bassist John Entwistle both later played solo shows in the city.

OHMYGOSSIP — Dua Lipa has admitted she felt under “a lot of pressure” to make her second album ‘Future Nostalgia’ as good as its predecessor.
Despite being one of the biggest pop stars in the world, the 24-year-old singer confessed she was “terrified” that fans might not feel the same way about her new “disco-inspired” tunes as they did her acclaimed Grammy-winning 2017 self-titled debut studio album.
The ‘Electricity’ hitmaker – who recently unveiled the upcoming record’s title by showing off her inking of the name on her lower arm – is quoted by the Daily Star newspaper’s Wired column as saying: “You never really know how people will respond and I feel the music is a little different to what people have heard before.
“It is still pop but it has disco influences and it’s 80s inspired.
“Especially after the Grammys everyone was like, ‘Now you’ve got a lot of pressure, you really have to come back with something special for the second album.
“I was terrified.
“I definitely felt the pressure but I realised I just want to have fun with it and I wanted to mature as an artist in that sense.”
The ‘New Rules’ hitmaker added how she felt it was important to create an entirely new sound which is in its “own lane”.
She continued: “Because I have been touring for so long, I wanted it to be a bit more instrumental and I wanted it to be different.
“I didn’t want to feel that I am trying to recreate anything from the first record. I want it to live in its own lane, I suppose.”
Dua – who is dating model Anwar Hadid – kicked off the album with lead single ‘Don’t Start Now’, and recently explained how the track is about entering a new chapter in her life.
She said: “I chose to put this song out first so I could close one chapter of my life and start another.
“Into a new era with a new sound! It’s about moving on and not allowing anyone to get in the way of that.
“It also felt like a natural first song choice as I made it with the brilliant same crew I made ‘New Rules’ with.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariana Grande is “so excited” about her upcoming live album.
The ‘No Tears Left To Cry’ hitmaker is currently in the middle of the North American leg of her ‘Sweetener’ world tour but she’s still finding the time to work on the record, which will be comprised of recordings from the concert series, and is producing her own vocals.
Ariana shared an update on the album ahead of her show in Jacksonville in her home state of Florida on Sunday (01.12.19).
She wrote: “love u hello ! been prepping these vocals for the live album / listening to first pass mixes & am so excited. vocal producing everything myself, johnny’s been producing all the band parts ! deadline is soon so jus saying hello and love u and miss u. see u tonight, jacksonville !(sic)”
The 26-year-old singer recently slammed a Twitter user for suggesting she used autotune to tweak her vocals when performing, insisting singing is her “thing” and a “gift” that she could prove anywhere.
She shared a video of herself performing on tour and one follower wrote: “It sounds like autotune and probably not live. I mean you are a great singer and I love your voice and songs but this doesn’t sound live.”
In response, Ariana slammed: “Naw with all due respect, I could do this in your living room for you, fam.
“With no sound mixing or help at all. I could do it on Broadway (and did). I can do it on the shower. In the car. It’s my gift / it’s why I’m here. I sing 30+ songs a night. Every word. It’s my thing. Let me shine like damn.(sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Pearl Jam will mark their 30th anniversary by headlining British Summer Time Hyde Park next summer.
Eddie Vedder and co are set to top the bill at the American Express-sponsored concert series at the London landmark on July 10, with special guests Pixies and White Reaper.
The special show will be their only UK date of their European tour, and more opening acts are to be confirmed in due course.
The Seattle grunge rockers – who formed in 1990 – are the second headliners confirmed for the music extravaganza after British girl group Little Mix were announced for July 4.
The ‘Woman Like Me’ hitmakers – comprised of Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock – last performed at Hyde Park in 2014, when they supported Sir Tom Jones, but this time they will be closing the event for the first time.
The girls – who recently wrapped up their ‘LM5 Tour’, which spanned 40 shows – said: “We’re so excited to perform at BST Hyde Park.
“It’s such a massive gig with a huge crowd, so it’s definitely going to be one of our 2020 highlights.
“We’ve been to see acts at BST before and it’s always such a party atmosphere.
“We’ll be bringing that to our set next year for sure!”
The Hyde Park gig will be part of their summer 2020 tour dates, which they teased in a video announcement on Twitter.
Jesy said: “We have some huge news that we are so excited about, that we want to share with you guys.
“We are heading back on the road next year for our summer 2020 tour.
“This will include a date playing the legendary American Express Presents BST Hyde Park in London.”
This summer, the festival saw performances from music royalty, including Celine Dion, Stevie Wonder, Barbra Streisand and Robbie Williams.

OHMYGOSSIP — Dua Lipa has announced a UK and Ireland arena tour for 2020.
The 24-year-old pop star will embark on the ‘Future Nostalgia Tour’ in support of her hotly-anticipated second studio album – the follow-up to her Grammy-winning 2017 self-titled debut – next May and June.
The run includes two dates at London’s The O2 arena on May 26 and May 27, and wraps with two consecutive nights at Dublin’s 3Arena in Ireland on June 18 and June 19.
The ‘Don’t Start Now’ hitmaker has explained that she wanted ‘Future Nostalgia’ to have more of a “live element” but still keeping a “pop sensibility”.
Dua also revealed that she was inspired by the likes of Queen of Pop, Madonna, No Doubt star Gwen Stefani, punk rockers Blondie and hip-hop duo OutKast whilst making the record, and that she wanted a “nostalgic but futuristic” sound, hence the title.
She said: “What I wanted to do with this album was to break out of my comfort zone and challenge myself to make music that felt like it could sit alongside some of my favourite classic pop songs, whilst still feeling fresh and uniquely mine.
“I was inspired by so many artists on the new record from Gwen Stefani to Madonna to Moloko to Blondie and Outkast, to name just a few.
“Because of the time that I’d spent on the road touring with my band I wanted ‘Future Nostalgia’ to have a lot more of a live element, but mixed together with modern electronic production.
“My sound has naturally matured a bit as I’ve grown up but I wanted to keep the same pop sensibility as I had on the first record.
“I remember that I was on my way to a radio show in Las Vegas thinking about the direction for this new record and I realised that what I wanted to make was something that felt nostalgic but had something fresh and futuristic about it too.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Tom Jones, Eric Clapton and Yusef/Cat Stevens are among a star-studded line-up announced for next year’s ‘Music For The Marsden Concert’.
The music legend, ‘Layla’ hitmaker and ‘Wild World’ singer will be joined by the likes of ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’ hitmaker Bonnie Tyler, Simply Red’s Mick Hucknall, John Illsley from Dire Straits, blues star Paul Jones, Genesis star Mike Rutherford and more at the gig to benefit The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
The stars will come together at London’s The O2 arena on March 3, 2020, for the special evening, which is being organised by Procol Harum frontman Gary Brooker.

The godfather of garage will bring DJ Spoony presents Garage Classical to the iconic Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew for a special show on July 11, 2020.

OHMYGOSSIP — Alanis Morissette has released her new single ‘Reasons I Drink’.
The 45-year-old singer has unveiled the candid track – the first taste of her upcoming studio album ‘Such Pretty Forks In The Road’ – on Monday (02.12.19) as she opens up about her mental health struggles in the piano driven track.
In the opening verse, Alanis sings: “These are the reasons I drink, the reasons I tell everybody I’m fine even though I am not.
“These are the reasons I overdo it, I have been working since I can remember, since I was single digits
“Now, even though I’ve been busted, I don’t know where to draw the line ’cause that groove has gotten so deep.”
The track will be featured on her ninth album – the first since 2012’s ‘Havoc and Bright Lights’ – when it drops on May 1 next year.
Alanis will be performing the single live on television for the first time on Thursday (04.12.19) on ‘The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon’.
Meanwhile, the star – who has been open about her struggles with fame in the past – has also recently opened up about her experience with postpartum depression as she’s currently battling the mental health condition for the third time following the birth of her son Winter in August.
Alanis – who also suffered depression after the births of her other two children, son Ever Imre, eight, and three-year-old daughter Onyx Solace – said: “This time around it’s less depression, it’s more anxiety and a little more of the compulsive, obsessive thoughts.”
The ‘Ironic’ hitmaker – who has her children with her husband Mario ‘Souleye’ Treadway – says her thoughts sometimes contain “images that are horrifying”, including the possibility of something happening to her loved ones.
She added: “A lot of times [they are] about safety, about the people you love, your loved ones, your children. And then me just having to remind myself, like, ‘Oh, nope. This is just postpartum depression swooping in again. Stop.’ ”

OHMYGOSSIP — Mick Mars will release his solo album in April 2020.
The Mötley Crüe guitarist – who makes up the iconic heavy metal band alongside bassist Nikki Sixx, drummer Tommy Lee and lead singer Vince Neil – has insisted the group’s reunion won’t halt his own plans for the upcoming record, and he confirmed the collection will be released in spring next year.
He tweeted: “No one will ever stand in the way of my solo record. Ever. Watch for it in April. 2020. (sic)”
Mick has been working on the LP with producer Michael Wagener at Blackbird Studios in Nashville, and he previously explained he has tried to take his time rather than rushing the highly anticipated project.
He said: “I’ve been working on this for years, trying to get it right. In my way of thinking, I didn’t want to put out a record just to put out a record. It has to be right, for me.
“People wanna hear my music, it needs to be right. I’m not just cutting corners to, like I said, put out a record to put out a record. I just can’t do it. So it’s taking me a while.”
Mick’s update on his solo record comes after the ‘Girls, Girls, Girls’ rockers revealed last month that they will reunite five years since their last performance as part of ‘The Final Tour’ in 2015.
To mark the end of their legacy, the band signed a cessation of touring agreement, which prohibits any member performing under the Mötley Crüe name.
However, they released a video which saw the contract get blown up as they confirmed their return.
Machine Gun Kelly – who starred in the recent Mötley Crüe biopic ‘The Dirt’ – narrated the video, and said: “In 2014, Mötley Crüe announced their final tour putting an end to almost 35 years on the road. To make it official, they signed an unprecedented contract.
“In the years since, Mötley Crüe became more popular than ever and gained an entirely new legion of fans who, along with die hard Crüeheads, demanded the band tear up that stupid contract and come out of retirement.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Karol G “died and came back to life” when Nicki Minaj rapped about her.
The pair have collaborated on Karol’s new song ‘Tusa’ and the Colombian singer/songwriter admitted that the thrill of working with Nicki has not yet worn off.
She told Billboard: “In her [Minaj’s] verse she says, ‘It’s me and Karol G and we let the rats talk’. I died, I came back to life, I died, I came back to life, I died, I came back to life like 18 times before I understood Nicki Minaj had said my name in her verse.”
Karol, 28, also spoke about her inspiration for the track, explaining: “‘Tusa’ is when no matter what you know, what they do to you, how much they step on you, how much it hurts, you’re entusado [disheartened], because you can’t get over it…oh, it’s happened so many times to me! The best technique for getting over a tusa is to work out.”
Karol previously revealed she and Nicki, 36,first started talking via Instagram, where they traded songs back and forth until they settled on ‘Tusa’.
Karol said: “She called me and said: ‘I’m going to make the best rap of my life for your song’. I felt so happy. I sent her the music at 1 p.m. At 1:07 p.m., she downloaded the file, and at 8 p.m., I had the song back.
“She also surprised me by recording four full lines in Spanish.”
Meanwhile, despite claiming she was planning to retire from music, Nicki recently told fans her new album will be “fierce, fun, and unapologetic”.
She said: “It’s probably the most excited I’ve been about an album release in a really long time. I’m happy that we’re not making my fans wait for another album, like I’ve done in the past.”
Nicki – whose fourth studio album ‘Queen’ dropped in 2018, four years after her third record ‘The Pinkprint’ – told supporters to look forward to a “way bigger sound” on her new album.
She added: “This one incorporates all the things people love about Nicki, but it also just has a way bigger sound, so it goes perfectly with the collection.”

OHMYGOSSIP — James Blunt was nervous about his father’s reaction to his new song ‘Monsters’.
The 45-year-old singer wrote the song for his dad, Colonel Charles Blount, who has kidney disease and is waiting for a transplant but James admitted he was worried about how his father would feel about the song.
He told the Daily Express newspaper: “I stumble with normal words and I struggle to have certain conversations with my father.
“So I wrote this song called ‘Monsters’ and it says, ‘I’m not your son. You’re not my father. We’re just two grown men saying goodbye, no need to forgive, no need to forget and I know your mistakes and you know mine’.
“It was hard when I first had to play the song to him and I stuck headphones on him, pressed play and walked out of the room. I was nervous about his reaction and I hoped he would take it in the right way and, afterwards, he put his hand on my knee. It was quite a moving moment between us.”
James also praised Sir Elton John for his support and said he wouldn’t have a career if it wasn’t for the veteran star.
He said: “Elton is one of the greatest supporters of mine and without the opportunities he has given me, I don’t think you and I would be speaking right now.
“He owns the management firm who took me on and I am with the same manager now as I was then and he used to be Elton’s day-to-day manager.
“When we met, the first gig I ever played was to 50 people, the second gig I played was to 50,000 people and then Elton took me on tour throughout the UK and South America. He has been a great mentor and support so I’m super lucky to know him.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins has praised his bandmate Dave Grohl for his skills on the drums.
Grohl started his career as the sticksman for Nirvana before going on to form Foo Fighters as the singer and guitarist but he makes an appearance on the skins for Hawkins’ new LP with his band The Coattail Riders, ‘Get The Money’.
Hawkins, 47, has always been impressed with Grohl’s skills as a drummer but doesn’t like to compare himself to the 50-year-old musician because they have different styles.
In an interview with website MusicFeeds, he said: “I would always say that he is the best, but in truth, he’s the best at playing drums like Dave Grohl and I’m the best at playing drums like Taylor Hawkins, it’s as simple as that. I mean, I can’t do Dave as well as Dave can do Dave … Although I guess I did spend a lot of time trying to capture his essence, maybe I could do better at being him than he could at being me, but who knows. I feel like we both have our own strengths and that our partnership in the end, works out for the best for both of us.”
Hawkins started his career as the touring drummer for Alanis Morissette’s band on her ‘Can’t Not’ tour between 1995 and 1996 before he joined Foo Fighters.
It has long been rumoured that Hawkins turned down the opportunity to be the drummer for Guns N’ Roses to stay in Grohl’s band and now he has admitted that he was offered the job.
He said: “It’s not exactly true, but it has got a lot of traction recently. So here’s what happened. I joined the Foo Fighters in ’97 and when I was over there I got a call from my mother, because Guns N’ Roses management wanted me to try out for them, but I was busy touring the UK with the Foo Fighters. So I didn’t do it. So I didn’t really turn them down as much as I just didn’t go to the audition.
“I think we’re all doing well now. I think Guns N Roses are in a good place now, with Duff and Slash back and my wife and I went to see them last year and they were fantastic.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Bunton says the Spice Girls will always “be a unit” and reunite when it’s possible.
The 43-year-old singer – who is known as Baby Spice in the ‘Viva Forever’ group – has admitted that it can be “difficult” for them organise stuff because they each have families and other commitments, but it’s possible they will do more tours or one-off performances in the future when the time is right.
Asked what is in store for the ‘Wannabe’ hitmakers, Emma told BBC Radio 2: “We talk about it all the time.
“We are very close.
“We’ve all got all of our family, our kids, and we love doing stuff together, but it is difficult getting us all to get together to approve things and to make sure we all want to do the same thing.
“But we will always be that unit and we sometimes go, right, let’s tour, and sometimes do a gig, let’s do an animation film … so they are the kind of things going on at the moment.”
Emma also revealed that she suffered “a slight case of pneumonia” and “crashed and burned” after performing in the rain several nights on their ‘Spice World 2019 Tour’ earlier this year, but it was her “favourite” tour they’ve ever done.
She said: “I absolutely loved it, but I crashed and burned after.
“This is what the doctor said, ‘A slight case of pneumonia.’
“It was so amazing and such a high, but we did dance a lot in the rain and it was full on.
“So afterwards I was a bit like, ‘Ugh, I’m done.'”
The reunion shows saw Emma joined by Mel B (Scary), Geri Horner (Ginger) and Mel C (Sporty), with Victoria Beckham (Posh) opting to sit out the run.
However, Emma recently admitted her absence wasn’t felt too strongly on stage.
She said: “We all just love Victoria to bits. But doing this show without her helped us to feel confident as a four-piece. It was an amazing experience and we would never ever force Victoria to come back.
“We feel settled – so if we stay as a four, we feel comfortable performing. We love performing together.”
The 45-year-old fashion designer had been expected to appear at one of the group’s London shows but Emma insisted no one was upset when she didn’t join them.
She said: “She was away, so couldn’t come to the show, but she sent us the biggest bunch of flowers.”
While the ‘Stop’ singers haven’t announced any further plans since the tour wrapped in summer, Emma, 43, has teased new music is on its way when the quartet can find the time to get into the studio together.

OHMYGOSSIP — Snoop Dogg is releasing a lullaby album.
The 48-year-old rapper has tapped into several different genres in the past including gospel, reggae, and funk, but he’s now adding another album to his long list of experimental projects, as he’s put together a record full of lullaby tracks aimed at infants.
According to The Source, the album is titled ‘Lullaby Renditions of Snoop Dogg’, and includes soothing instrumental versions of some of his biggest hits, such as ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’, ‘Gin and Juice’, and ‘Sensual Seduction’.
The record is being released in partnership with Rockabye Baby! Music, who are known for making lullaby instrumentals of various artists, including Drake, Eminem, and Kanye West.
The album is slated to be released on December 6, but a vinyl version was released earlier this week in order to coincide with November’s Record Store Day, which also falls on Black Friday (29.11.19).
Meanwhile, Snoop recently said he isn’t interested in record sales, because he cares more about making music than making money.
Asked what keeps him “hyped” about making music, Snoop said: “I love the way that good music feels. Even if it ain’t mine, I just love how that s**t feels.
“But when it’s mine it feels even better because I’m able to do it. I’ve made projects before that weren’t good, but they felt good to me. And that’s all I give a f**k about.
“I don’t care about this sold eight million, 100,000, 22,000 or 17. Who cares? If you ain’t doing it for the feeling, you’re doing it for the wrong reasons. You should never be doing it to make money or become famous. That isn’t what this game was built on.
“Anyone who’s ever been successful or a megastar? They love this s**t first and foremost, more than anything.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Slayer’s manager doesn’t believe the band will reunite “at all”.
The thrash metal legends – comprised of Kerry King, Tom Araya, Paul Bostaph, and Gary Holt – are currently touring the US on the final dates of their farewell tour, and their manager Rick Sales has said he’s “not sensing” any kind of reunion for them in the future.
Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, he said: “I’m not sensing [a reunion] at all… Let’s put the touring to bed. I’ve got a couple of ideas [for future projects], but we haven’t made any decisions.
“Right now, they’re preoccupied with the end, and I imagine it’s emotional. It’s emotional for me … They’ve been doing this for so long. They just said, ‘OK, this is enough.’
“My analogy is Jerry Seinfeld, who had probably the biggest TV show when he went out on top. I respect the band for the decision. If you’re going to do it, this is the way.”
Rick’s comments come only a few days after he hinted the iconic band could continue making music after their tour.
He said at the time: “The band has always had a lot of integrity and there are a couple things that go on.
“I totally get that they made a decision to stop touring. That doesn’t mean the end of the band. It’s just the end of touring. I always thought of it as, ‘You go out on top.’ They made that decision. They’re not milking it. From that standpoint, I get it and they made the right choice.”
Slayer played their final show in the UK earlier this year when they headlined the second stage on the final day of Download Festival, in Donington Park in Leicestershire, England.
The band treated the packed crowd to a set full of their classic tracks, including ‘Raining Blood’, ‘Evil Has No Boundaries’, ‘Hell Awaits’, ‘Gemini’, ‘Black Magic’ and ‘Chemical Warfare’, and finished off with ‘Angel of Death’ – from their 1986 album ‘Reign in Blood’ – which was the first time they collaborated with Rick Rubin.
