Keith Urban announces third Las Vegas residency

OHMYGOSSIP — Keith Urban has announced a brand-new Las Vegas residency dubbed ‘High’.
The 56-year-old musician will take over the Fontainebleau Las Vegas for 10 nights in October and February 2025.
Gig-goers can expect to hear tracks from his upcoming album.
So far fans have heard the singles ‘Straight Line’, ‘Messed Up As Me’, and ‘Go Home W U’, with Lainey Wilson.
A pre-sale takes place on May 7 at 10am PST. General sale tickets go on sale on May 10 at 10am PST.
Head to ticketmaster.com/KeithUrbanVegas for the full dates and tickets.
‘High’ marks Keith’s third residency following his stints at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace and Planet Hollywood.
Ironically, the country star had previously rejected offers to do a Las Vegas residency.
Keith was against the idea of repeating the same show over-and-over-again at the same venue, but his mind was changed when he began his Colosseum series in 2019.
Speaking to PEOPLE in 2022, he said: “I was asked to do it earlier but always said no because to me a residency sounded a little bit like an episode of ‘Severance’ and I was like, ‘I don’t know that I’m built for this.’
“I need freneticism and unpredictability, and I need a certain energy. When we finally went and did the residency at the end of 2019, I loved it, and I was transformed.”
Keith – who is married to Nicole Kidman – had to postpone the rest of his Vegas residency due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, only performing four shows, but he was back on stage in September 2021.
He also had to step in for Adele after the ‘I Drink Wine’ singer was forced to cancel her shows at Caesars Palace at the last minute after COVID hit her crew and they were “absolutely destroyed” by delivery delays.

Keith Richards Can’t Get No Satisfaction from rock bands

OHMYGOSSIP — Keith Richards is not a rock fan.
The 80-year-old Rolling Stones guitarist claims he hasn’t listened to rock bands for decades and much prefers his beloved blues.
Keith is quoted by the Daily Star newspaper as saying: “No. I never listened to rock bands. I grew up, I played Chuck Berry and Muddy Waters.
I sold it back to America.
“That’s what we did, and then we started to add our own things to it but I’m not really interested in what followed us.”
Keith also can’t get no satisfaction from rap music, which he says is for “tone-deaf people”.
He previously told New York Daily News: “What rap did that was impressive was to show there are so many tone-deaf people out there.
“All they need is a drum beat and somebody yelling over it and they’re happy. There’s an enormous market for people who can’t tell one note from another.”
Meanwhile, Sir Mick Jagger previously revealed he used to get fed up with Keith playing Beatles tunes non-stop when they shared a flat.
The ‘(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction’ group’s frontman admitted a lot of their songs were inspired by their former rivals’ pop hits because Keith was obsessed with them.
Speaking to Mojo magazine, he said: “Originally, Keith was the pop person really.
“I mean, I used to just write lyrics to his pop tunes, and he wrote all these pop tunes because he listened to The Beatles all the time.
“Drove me crazy listening to The Beatles when we shared a flat together.
“Keith sort of left that behind in a way, but he wrote Ruby Tuesday, Let’s Spend The Night Together – these were all Keith’s songs.
“But yeah, people will say ‘Keith was the one that liked blues.’
“I really like pop music now, listen to it all the time – Keith doesn’t.
“I still like blues, but I like dance music and Keith doesn’t really like it.”

Catfish and the Bottlemen announce Dublin gig

OHMYGOSSIP — Catfish and the Bottlemen have announced their first concert in Ireland in five years.
Hot off the heels of the news of their biggest show to date in Liverpool, which will see the indie rockers play to around 32,000 fans on July 11, as part of the In The Park Festival at the city’s Sefton Park, the ‘Longshot’ rockers have set a date at Dublin’s RDS Simmonscourt on August 31.
Tickets go on general sale at 10am BST on May 10, via www.ticketmaster.ie, where details of a pre-sale on May 8 can be found.
The ‘Encore’ group also have massive open air concerts coming up in Cardiff and Edinburgh.
In February, the BRIT Award-winning group returned with their first single in five years.
The rock group recorded ‘Showtime’ in Los Angeles with award-winning producer Dave Sardy, who has previously worked with the likes of Oasis and the Rolling Stones.
The track reflects frontman Van McCann’s evolution as a songwriter and is the first song off the band’s much-anticipated new album.
Meanwhile, the rocker previously admitted to being hugely ambitious as a performer.
The songwriter also revealed that he’d been inspired by Oasis during his younger years.
The 31-year-old singer told the Guardian newspaper: “I want us to play stadiums. Not just arenas, but stadiums.
“If you’re in a band and you don’t want that it’s like saying you’re happy sitting on the bench at Liverpool. If I was gonna be a bin man, I’d make sure I was the best. You’re here one day and gone the next, so why not want to play in football stadiums?
“I remember going to see Oasis at Heaton Park when I was a kid and no matter where you were in Manchester, the vibe was Oasis. It was like a magnet had been dropped in the centre of the city and was drawing everyone in. That’s what I want happening with us.”

Kings of Leon ‘didn’t want’ Sex on Fire

OHMYGOSSIP — Kings of Leon “didn’t want” ‘Sex on Fire’ to be on ‘Only By The Night’.
The 2008 track has become the band’s biggest single, but they were reluctant to take advice from their record company because of their concerns the song would overshadow the rest of their album.
Discussing having freedom when recording upcoming new album ‘Can We Please Have Fun’ without the pressure of a record company, Nathan Followill told NME: “There was a little pressure, like, ‘Oh, we don’t have a label,’ but there was more freedom as far as knowing that this record isn’t gonna be finished and then you’re gonna have a couple guys in suits come sit down and be like, ‘That’s a single, that’s a single.’ ”
Frontman Caleb Followill added : “Usually whatever the label likes. I’m like, ‘Oh, I hate that.’ A lot of times they’re right and it ends up being successful.”
Asked an example, he said: “’Sex on Fire’. I didn’t want it on the album. But I knew it was… I knew it had potential, but I felt like there were other songs… I knew instantly, ‘Everyone’s gonna hear this and they’re not gonna listen to the rest of [the album].”
When it came to writing the band’s upcoming ninth album, Caleb felt like he was “on a huge acid trip” because he’d never been so inspired.
He said: “I know it’s gonna sound crazy but there was a moment, making this record, where I truly felt like I was the most inspired man in the world.
“I saw things in colours and shapes and sounds. It was just like I was on a huge acid trip. For months!”
“I’d see something on TV and go, ‘Ooh – I can apply that.’ And while it was happening, I was thinking, “Man, I wish other people could feel what I’m feeling right now.”

Zayn Malik announces first ever solo gig

OHMYGOSSIP — Zayn Malik has announced his first ever solo gig.
The former One Direction star – who left the group in 2015 and will release his fourth solo album ‘Room Under The Stairs’ on May 17 – has unveiled plans for a special “global exclusive live event” to celebrate his upcoming LP.
On the same night as the album drops, Zayn will take to the stage at Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London.
The event will mark his first ever solo performance, as he takes to the stage to perform a selection of songs from the new record after the world premiere of the ‘Road Back To The Mic’ documentary.
The collection will be his first since 2021’s ‘Nobody Is Listening’, and he has suggested it will be most personal to date.
He said: “This is my favourite album that I’ve made to date, mainly because it comes from a place of sheer honesty and vulnerability.
“I wanted each song to feel as if it was just me sitting beside you telling you how I feel, singing directly to you.
“It’s raw and stripped back and the type of music I always hoped to make.”
He admitted being more introspective at the time helped inspire the direction his music has taken, and it was important for it to be released as an entire album rather than just individual tracks.
He explained: “I think just being where I was at that time, staying away from things and living with my own thoughts inspired me to want to write something from that place.
“I’ve got to put this out as a whole body of work, it’s something for myself, not even just for the world.”
Zayn co-produced the album with Dave Cobb – known for his work with the likes of Brandi Carlile, Jason Isbell and Chris Stapleton – and he’s delighted with the results of their collaboration.
He added: “Working with Dave Cobb has been an amazing experience.
“The way he’s elevated the music is second to none, and he has done an incredible job helping me create this record.”
Tickets to ‘Zayn: Room Under The Stairs’ are available to those who pre-order ‘Room Under The Stairs’ (or register on the site) by 3pm on May 8.
Pre-orders are available here: https://shopuk.inzayn.com/

Jerry Seinfeld’s children don’t think he is funny

OHMYGOSSIP — Jerry Seinfeld’s children don’t think he is funny.
The 70-year-old actor – who has Sascha, 23, Julian, 21, and 18-year-old Shepherd with his wife Jessica – has amassed great success in comedy with his classic sitcom ‘Seinfeld’ but admitted he “doesn’t want” his kids to think he is good and they are “used” to his jokes by now.
He told E! News: “You don’t want your kids to think you’re that great. A lot of times if I try to be funny around them, they’ll go, ‘Is that one of your bits dad? Is that some new bit for you?’ They’re pretty used to it.”
The stand-up star is even unsure whether any of his kids have watched the show that brought him worldwide fame.
He said: “I actually have never asked them if they’ve seen the show.”
Just days ago, Jerry admitted that he believes trying to avoid offending everyone with their material in comedy can often lead to “stupid mistakes” on stage and thinks that aspiring performers should simply look in the newspaper when trying to come up with things to say.
He told Page Six: “Political correctness is something of a worry for people that can’t think. The stupid mistakes I see people making sometimes – offensive, unnecessary insensitivities.
“It’s like…pick up a paper, find out what is going on and then just navigate around it!”
Jerry has now made his feature directorial debut with ‘Unfrosted’, an upcoming comedy loosely based on the true story of the creation of Pop-Tarts toaster pastries and recalled that the breakfast snack was a favourite of his from his childhood because it was so original at the time.
He said: [Pop-Tarts] just kind of stuck out. There’s like a few things that I remember from childhood that [I was] like, ‘Wow! I can’t believe they’re giving us that, like Silly Putty and G.I Joe and…that’s why Barbie was such a big thing. It’s like ‘Wow, somebody invented a really crazy toy here and the Pop-Tart was the craziest food that I remember. Cereal was a normal thing but the Pop-Tart, it didn’t have anything to do with anything! It just seemed so space age, and it was great!”

The 21-year-old pop star was due to play two sold-out gigs at brand-new arena Co-op Live, the UK’s largest indoor concert venue, on Friday (03.05.24) and Saturday (04.05.24), but organisers have been forced to axe the performances due to an “on-going venue-related technical issue”.
Olivia wrote on her Instagram Stories: “hello! Co-op Live – which has a 23,500 capacity – postponed the arena’s opening for a third time on Wednesday night (01.05.24).
Rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie was due to perform, but his gig was axed due to “a venue-related technical issue”, after concert-goers had already arrived at the £365 million arena.
A post on Co-op Live’s X account at 6.40pm on Wednesday read: “Due to a venue-related technical issue, tonight’s A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie show will no longer go ahead. We kindly ask fans to leave the area. Tickets holders will receive further information in due course.

“Manchester, I got you. Just stay tuned for further info.”
Just two hours later, the venue also revealed Olivia’s gigs this week had been postponed.

I think about Glastonbury all the time, says Dua Lipa

OHMYGOSSIP — Dua Lipa thinks about her Glastonbury performance “all the time”.
The 28-year-old pop star will perform on the Pyramid Stage at this year’s Glastonbury festival, and Dua is determined to get everything right.
Speaking to the BBC, Dua shared: “I think about it all the time.
“50 percent of my thoughts go to Glastonbury, then the rest are for everyday tasks.”
The upcoming festival will feature two female headliners for the first time – Dua and SZA – and the ‘Levitating’ hitmaker feels proud to be part of the cultural “shift”.
Dua explained: “I feel so lucky to be a part of that shift. It’s important to have more female headliners.
“We’ve just got to keep applying the pressure and making that change happen.”
Dua has ambitious plans for her Glastonbury appearance, revealing that she wants to give the Pyramid Stage a nightclub-like feel.
The award-winning star said: “It might be tight, but I’ve got to figure out a way to make 150,000 people feel like they’re in a small little nightclub.
“That’s the goal, and if there’s one place to do it, it’s gotta be Glasto.”
Meanwhile, a source recently revealed that Dua is “pulling out all the stops” for her Glastonbury set.
The chart-topping star has taken inspiration from Kylie Minogue ahead of her festival appearance.
The insider told The Sun newspaper: “Dua is the most pop-focused headliner Glastonbury have had in years and she is pulling out all the stops to impress.
“She knows how to put on a big show, and she is planning to bring all of that to Worthy Farm.
“Dua will have a dance troupe on stage and will be performing some seriously tricky choreography.
“She is taking some inspiration from Kylie Minogue and will have moving platforms on the stage like Kylie did during her headline slot in 2019.”

Dua Lipa ‘knew she was headlining this year’s Glastonbury TWO YEARS ago’

OHMYGOSSIP — Dua Lipa is said to have known she was headlining this year’s Glastonbury festival for two years.
The 28-year-old singer is topping the bill of the Worthy Farm event alongside Coldplay and SZA, 34, and has now revealed she was approached by email long ago – but had to keep quiet about her booking.
She told Zane Lowe’s Apple Music show: “I’ve known for a little while… I got an email at the end of my Future Nostalgia tour.
“It’s been the biggest secret. Biggest secret ever.”
The Daily Star reported she has known about the booking since 2022.
She added to 50-year-old host Zane: “I didn’t even tell (my) band until we were coming towards the end of writing the new album, and I was just like, ‘I’m going to perform quite a few of these songs on the record at Glastonbury and I’m going to be headlining.
“And I think they felt the energy.
“That fuelled me in a different way to make this album… thinking about what it’s going to look like on stage.”
Dua went on about how she is going to be overwhelmed with emotion when she plays Glastonbury: “Every time I think about performing these sings, it’s like a rush of electricity goes through my body.
“I feel like I’m going to get teary talking about it.
“Glastonbury is just the festival – that one – I’ve loved going just as a fan. And to go up on that stage and perform… it’s all very surreal, it’s my biggest dream.
“It’s headlining Glastonbury.
“When I’m in the studio and I’m writing, the first thought that comes into my mind is, ‘What is this going to sound like at Glastonbury?’ For me, it’s the most beautiful experience that I’ve ever had.”

Legendary ‘King of Twang’ guitarist Duane Eddy dies aged 86

OHMYGOSSIP — Duane Eddy has died aged 86.
The iconic guitarist, best known as the ‘King of Twang’ after his unmistakeable electric sound on instrumentals such as ‘Rebel Rouser’ and ‘Peter Gunn’, passed away surrounded by loved ones at Williamson Health hospital in Franklin, Tennessee, on Tuesday (30.04.24) after a battle with cancer, with his death revealed on Thursday. (02.05.24)
A representative said: “Duane inspired a generation of guitarists the world over with his unmistakeable signature ‘Twang’ sound.
“He was the first rock and roll guitar god, a truly humble and incredible human being.
“He will be sorely missed.”
Duane inspired guitarists including Brice Springsteen and the late George Harrison with his sound and was credited with putting the “twang” in early rock.
The Grammy-winner sold more than 100 million records worldwide, and after racking up 16 top 40 singles between 1958 and 1963, he returned to charts in 1986 with a remake of his song ‘Peter Gunn’.
Self-taught Eddy started playing guitar aged five, and developed his sound with producer Lee Hazlewood.
He said in the 1980s: “I had a distinctive sound that people could recognise and I stuck pretty much with that.
“I’m not one of the best technical players by any means – I just sell the best.
“A lot of guys are more skilful than I am with the guitar. A lot of it is over my head.
“But some of it is not what I want to hear out of the guitar.”
Lee went on to adapt Duane’s twang in his production of Nancy Sinatra’s 1960s classic ‘These Boots Are Made for Walkin’’.

Sam Fender reveals the two music icons he dreams of performing alongside

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Fender wants to perform with AC/DC singer Brian Johnson and Dire Straits’ Mark Knopfler.
The 30-year-old singer/songwriter got to meet the rockers, aged 76 and 74 respectively, for their new Sky Arts show, and opened up about how getting on stage with them was one of his dreams.
Referring to his and Brian’s shared north-England roots, he tells them on the ‘Johnson and Knopfler’s Music Legends’ series: “The first time I met you two it was bizarre. I think it is because both of you in my life have been myths, Geordie myths.
“We will have to ger back on stage together sometime.”
Glashow-born Mark replied: “We will definitely do that.”
Sam added about his love of Brian’s band: “I met a kid when he was eight and he gave me the AC/DC DVD of them playing at Dorington and we used to watch that all the time.
“That was the first live gig I used to watch as a kid and think, ‘I want to do that.’
“It is all Brian’s fault.”
Sam is set to headline the Boardmasters festival this summer after announcing in 2022 he was cancelling a string of concerts to look after his mental health.
Located across two sites – Watergate Bay and Fistral Beach – the event will run from 7 to 11 August.
Sam said two years ago he was pulling out of a number of gigs as he was suffering “burn out” from touring.
He posted the announcement on Instagram, saying it would be “completely hypocritical” of him to advocate for discussion of the topic without looking after his mental wellbeing.
Sam added: “My friends and colleagues have been worried about me for a while.
“I’ve neglected myself for over a year now and haven’t dealt with things that have deeply affected me.
“It’s impossible to do this work on myself while on the road, and it’s exhausting feigning happiness and wellness for the sake of business. My friends and colleagues have been worried about me for a while and it’s not going to get better unless I take the time to do so.”
Highlights of Sam’s career so far have included a Glastonbury Pyramid Stage show and winning an Ivor Novello award for best song for the title track from his album ‘Seventeen Going Under’.

The ‘Levitating’ hitmaker is set to headline the Pyramid Stage at the world-famous festival in June and not only is she excited to treat fans to some songs from her new album ‘Radical Optimism’, as well as her classic singles, she’s keen to take a nod to the past by inviting the ‘Girls Just Want to Have Fun’ singer out on stage at Worthy Farm.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column of the invitation to Cyndi: “Dua is raring to go for Glastonbury and she can’t wait for people to hear her new music.
“She knows the record will strike a chord with her fans but for the old school muso’s at the Farm, she wants a touch of nostalgia.
“Kevin Parker from Tame Impala, who worked on Radical Optimism with Dua is another.
“She wants this set to go down in history.”
It was recently claimed the ‘Houdini’ singer is planning a spectacular moving stage set at Glastonbury.
A source told The Sun last month: “Dua is the most pop focused headliner Glastonbury have had in years and she is pulling out all the stops to impress.
“She knows how to put on a big show, and she is planning to bring all of that to Worthy Farm.

Speaking to the BBC, Dua shared: “I think about it all the time.
“50 percent of my thoughts go to Glastonbury, then the rest are for everyday tasks.”

Take That and Keane cancel shows in Co-Op Live Arena chaos

OHMYGOSSIP — Take That and Keane have become the latest artists to cancel shows at the new Co-Op Live Arena in Manchester.
The beleaguered venue was supposed to open its doors last month with a pair of shows by comedian Peter Kay, but they were postponed twice, and subsequent gigs by Rick Astley and The Black Keys were scrapped along with A Boogie Wit da Hoodie show on Wednesday (01.05.24) which was called off at the last minute after an air conditioning unit fell from the ceiling.
It led to Olivia Rodrigo’s shows at the venue on Friday and Saturday (03-04.05.24) being axed and now concerts by Keane on Sunday (05.05.24) and Take That have also been called off.
A statement from Keane posted on X – formerly known as Twitter – explained: “We’re absolutely gutted not to be able to celebrate 20 Years of ‘Hopes and Fears’ with you at the Co-Op Live on Sunday. This is due to ongoing technical issues at the venue and is entirely beyond our control.
“We’ve tried extremely hard to find a solution as we know so many of you have made travel plans, but it’s not just been possible. We are really disappointed that this has happened and are doing all we can to re-schedule the show.”
Take That were supposed to play five shows at the venue in May but they have now swapped them all to the city’s AO Arena instead. The dates remain the same apart from the gig on Wednesday May has been changed to Thursday May 9.
The band said in a statement: “Given the ongoing technical issues around the opening of Co-Op Live we have made the difficult decision to move our May shows to the AO Arena where we have enjoyed many great nights over the years.
“This is not a decision we’ve taken lightly, but we wanted to give our fans as much notice as possible. We’re mindful many of you will already have travel and accommodation plans in place, so we have chosen this option to minimise inconvenience to as many people as possible.
“Our dates in June in Manchester remain unaffected.”
Jen Mitchell, General Manager at AO Arena said: “It wouldn’t be a Take That tour without a stop-off in Manchester, so it’s great to welcome the band and their fans back to AO Arena for five nights, in the heart of this wonderful city.”
The latest cancellations come as supermarket brand Co-Op distanced itself from the chaos. They said in a statement: “As naming rights sponsor for Co-Op Live we are disappointed with these further schedule changes. We fully appreciate and understand the impact and upset the delays have caused to ticket holders and our Co-Op members.
“Co-Op is a sponsor and does not own or run the venue, and we have made it clear to Oak View Group, who are responsible for the building, that the impact on ticketholders must be addressed as a priority. We are pleased that they will shortly be putting plans in place to do so.
“We also understand that the necessary safety checks following yesterday’s incident [the air conditioning unit incident] are being completed and independently verified so that Co-Op members and other ticket holders can be reassured that the venue has the very highest levels of security and safety measures.”
Meanwhile Liam Gallagher is among the acts to have a gig scheduled at the venue, and he’s declared he will perform at a branch of Co-Op’s rival supermarket Lidl if the show is unable to go ahead.
Lidl have since confirmed they will apply for a late-night licence to keep a store open into the evening if Liam decides to go ahead with his idea.

Fran Healy feared Noel Gallagher was going to punch him for stealing ‘Wonderwall’ chords!

OHMYGOSSIP — Fran Healy feared Noel Gallagher was going to punch him for stealing chords from Oasis’ ‘Wonderwall’.
The Travis frontman, 50, made the admission as he celebrates the 25th anniversary of the band’s ‘The Man Who’ album – which features the lead single ‘Writing to Reach You’ that Fran openly admits contains verse chords lifted from Noel’s biggest hit.
He told the ‘Tim’s Listening Party’ podcast: “When I wrote ‘Writing To Reach You’, that was ’95. We’d seen Oasis playing at T in the Park for the first time that year.
“That was a big, big (makes exploding noise) when that band cut through.
“We went in a bar after it and Noel Gallagher walked in, looking like he was in the Velvet Underground.
“He had a Ready Brek glow around him and it was like, ‘He’s a rock star!’
“So, cut to six months later and I’m sitting in the coldest room in Glasgow and I’m writing this song and I nicked his chords, because that’s the chords to ‘Wonderwall’ in ‘Writing to Reach You’.
“The verse chords are absolutely lifted massively as we do, and as he does!
“I thought, ‘I’m never going to meet Noel Gallagher in a million years, because I’m on the dole, nothing’s gonna happen.
“But in the off chance, I should mention a little nod in case he hears it – a little doff of the cap to the originator.’ So I did that, ‘It’s, ‘what’s a ‘Wonderwall’ anyway’ because I’ve nicked your chords – thanks Noel!’”
Fran added about eventually meeting 56-year-old Noel: “We ended up like a year and a half later, touring with (Oasis.)
“And Noel come up to me after we came offstage and he went, ‘Nice chords, mate.’
“And I’m like (makes relieved noise.)
“I thought he was gonna hook me.”
Fran and his Travis bandmate Dougie Payne, also used their podcast appearance to chat about the Glastonbury performance they think made their name, how a breakup informed ‘The Man Who’, as well as how Fran nearly forgot his hit ‘Driftwood’ and the night he ended up hanging out with Michael Stipe, Courtney Love and Morrissey.

Tom Chaplin riddled with paranoia at height of Keane fame

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Chaplin was addled with paranoia at the height of his fame.
The Keane frontman, 45, who spent years battling a cocaine addiction that nearly cost him his life in 2015, also admitted he was hit by a “dangerous cocktail” of problems when the group made it big.
He told The Sun: “For me, there was a dangerous cocktail of stuff that happened so fast.
“I was so insecure and thought the success of the band would fix the way I felt inside. In some ways, it does. But it’s temporary.
“As well as the adulation, there’s also the paranoia. I remember thinking everywhere I went that people were talking or laughing about me, which is unnerving.”
Keane sold more than 13 million albums, and had hit singles including ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ and ‘Everybody’s Changing’.
The group is marking the 20th anniversary of the release of their debut album ‘Hopes and Fears’ with a reissue of the record and have just launched their world tour.
Tom – who managed to kick his cocaine habit after a stint in rehab – added about looking back on himself in his younger days: “When I see old footage of myself from those days I think, ‘That guy really doesn’t know what he’s doing’.
We were a curious mixture of being ambitious, with idols who were very big and successful bands and, at the same time, we were self-conscious, self-deprecating and very unsure of ourselves.
“Thank God there wasn’t social media back then.”
Tom also opened up about the fun Keane had on the road, saying: “We’ve had loads of high points – Live 8 was pretty mad.
“Macca at the side of the stage singing along and then touring with U2 and the Grammy’s after party, which was mad.
“I was holding court with Bono, Bruce Springsteen, Eminem, Dr Dre and Green Day.
“I may have been a bit (drunk) and talking absolute (rubbish) but it was fun.”

Celebrating the launch with an evening of star-studded entertainment, Troye will host the annual Magnum beach party in Cannes, with exclusive content from the bash appearing on the ice cream brand’s socials on TikTok, X and Instagram.
