Bring Me The Horizon sent Billie Eilish album track in hope she’d add vocals to it

OHMYGOSSIP — Bring Me The Horizon sent Billie Eilish an unfinished version of ‘liMOusIne’ in the hope she would add her vocals to it.
Oli Sykes and co sparked rumours they were set to release a collaboration with the Grammy winner, when the frontman commented “limousine” on the ‘Lunch’ hitmaker’s social media post.
However, he has now revealed he has no idea if she ever listened to the rough copy.
AURORA ended up adding her vocals to the final version on their latest LP, ‘POST HUMAN: NeX GEn’.
Speaking to Daniel P. Carter on the BBC Radio 1 Rock Show, Oli spilled: “The Billie thing was just: her photographer’s a massive fan, and they kinda mentioned the idea of her doing a song.
“So I her sent ‘liMOusIne’. And this was quite a while before it was in its full, finished state. I mean, I can’t say for 100 per cent that she listened to it, but I knew it got to her.
“So me thinking that ‘liMOusIne’ wouldn’t mean anything to anyone but me and maybe her if she saw the comment, [I] left it on her Instagram, not thinking that a week or two later when we did the tour, we put the file names on our visuals live, and everyone connected it.
“It was one of them things that seemed like such a proper cheap way to try and get some press, but it really wasn’t. I was actually quite embarrassed when I found out – like, ‘Oh god, no!’ Because I knew the chance of Billie doing a song with us was slim to none.”
BMTH’s album was much delayed but they surprised fans by dropping it with hours notice last week.
They were previously forced to push back the follow-up to 2020’s ‘Post Human: Survival Horror’, which was originally set for release on September 15, 2023, due to “unforeseen circumstances”.
Then, in December, it was announced that programmer and keyboardist Jordan Fish – who was instrumental in their evolved sound – had departed the group.

‘That’s literally psychotic’: Billie Eilish rules out ever doing a three-hour set

OHMYGOSSIP — Billie Eilish will never do a three-hour set.
The 22-year-old Grammy winner – who is set to embark on her ‘Hit Me Hard And Soft Tour’ – has branded lengthy concerts “literally psychotic”, and admitted she wouldn’t even want to watch her favourite artist for that long.
She reportedly told fans on Stationhead: “I’m not doing a three-hour show, that’s literally psychotic.
“Nobody wants that. You guys don’t want that. I don’t want that. I don’t even want that as a fan. My favourite artist in the world, I’m not trying to hear them for three hours. That’s far too long.”
The ‘Lunch’ hitmaker’s jaunt will start in North America, and will continue with shows in the US and Canada from the tour’s beginning through to the middle of December.
The ‘What Was I Made For?’ singer restarts the tour in Australia in February the following year, and will eventually make her way over to Europe, where she will conclude ‘Hit Me Hard and Soft’ in Dublin, Ireland before the end of July.
Meanwhile, Billie recently gushed that she has never “loved something more” than’Hit Me Hard And Soft’.
The pop superstar – who made the record with brother and collaborator Finneas – gushed on Instagram: “HIT ME HARD AND SOFT” my third album is f***ing out now i don’t even know what to SAAYY… @finneas and i put so much into this album and have never ever ever loved something more. we hope you enjoy it so much and i’ll see you on the other side EEEEEEEEEEEEEK HMHAS OUT NOW EVERYWHERE LOVE YOU ALL TO DEAAAAATH!!!! Patti LaBelle hints at future musical collaboration with close pal Cardi B

OHMYGOSSIP — Patti LaBelle has hinted at collaborating with Cardi B.
The 80-year-old soul star previously worked with the ‘WAP’ hitmaker, 31, on a promo for Cardi’s Whipshots alcoholic whipped cream and the former’s Good Life pies, and Patti would be keen to get into the studio with her for a musical collaboration.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, she teased: “I haven’t had an album out in 20 years, so I’m working on that now.
“It should be out at the end of this year and it’s called 8065. I’m 80 years young and 65 years in show business. So that’s what the project will be called, and that’s what my tour is called. 8065!”
Asked if she could team up with her good pal Cardi, she replied: “Why not? She’s like one of my new best friends.
“To know that she was into Patti LaBelle. She’s like my new buddy.”
The ‘I Like It’ hitmaker recently announced she is taking the rest of the year off.
Cardi wrote on social media: “Anyway NO album this year I don’t care I’m relaxing this year .. Dropping these features I already committed to and traveling and enjoying my summer. (sic)”
The music star recently insisted she always prioritises her career over her children.
Cardi has daughter Kulture, five, and two-year-old son Wave with estranged husband Offset, 32, but following their separation last year, she admitted that she struggles to be a wife and mother at all times because she will always put her music first.
She told Rolling Stone: “The part I love is that [Offset and I] really like each other, like a support system. We’re really both each other’s cheerleader. I don’t really like talking to people. I’m not as social. If I want something from somebody, he’ll be the one that will talk. Because I don’t like asking. We have our own bad stuff.
“We’re from two different worlds.
“Sometimes I cannot be … not that I cannot be a wife.
“It’s just like, my career takes my life. You know what I’m saying?
“My career comes first, then my kids come second. And then sometimes I don’t realise that I’m putting so many things before my relationship.”
The ‘Bongos’ hitmaker confirmed last December that she and her fellow rapper had split up after six years of marriage, but the idea of divorce was difficult to come to terms with.

St. Vincent felt the ‘sheer force’ of Taylor Swift’s fans

OHMYGOSSIP — St. Vincent has never experienced “anything like” the “power” of Taylor Swift’s fans.
The 41-year-old singer – whose real name is Ann Clark – co-wrote the pop megastar’s 2019 hit ‘Cruel Summer’, and admitted she was astonished by how much Swifties embraced and loved the tune.
Speaking to Music Week, Vincent said: “With the Taylor Swift Cruel Summer moment, that was a testament to the incredible force of her amazing fans. They took a song that was from many records ago, which was not a single at the time, and just said, ‘No, we love this song, this song is a hit,’ and then they marched it up the charts. It was so cool to see and I’d certainly never been a part of anything like that. But also, I haven’t really witnessed that in culture – you could maybe say Running Up That Hill with Kate Bush took fire and new fans were exposed to it but that’s not really the same thing. The Cruel Summer thing was sheer force and lightning in a bottle from her fans who just loved something into existence.”
Elsewhere, the ‘All Born Screaming’ singer recalled feeling “really shaken up” from the “adrenaline” after she performed ‘Lithium’ with Nirvana at their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2014, in the place of late frontman Kurt Cobain – who died by suicide aged 27 in 1994.
She recalled: “That’s the thing, Kurt should be alive and he’s not. That performance is one of those occasions where I don’t even know how to think about that. I remember I was in LA playing a show and I got a call from my then-manager – he was a very dry guy – saying, ‘I’ve got a weird one for you!’ which is not how I would necessarily have said that! It was an incredibly humbling, wild and exciting thing. Afterwards I felt really shaken up – there was so much adrenaline, so much, ‘What just happened?!’”
Vincent is still good friends with Nirvana drummer and Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, who played drums on the tracks ‘Flea’ and ‘Broken Man’ on her latest LP ‘All Born Screaming’.

Idris Elba ‘throws everything’ into music

OHMYGOSSIP — Idris Elba “throws everything” into his music.
The ‘Luther’ actor is also a keen DJ and musician, and he spends hours “fine tuning” his tracks to get them right, which he showed off in Ibiza over the weekend at a star-studded party.
Idris entertained guests including Leomie Anderson, Amy Jackson and his wife Sabrina at the official Grey Goose Altius launch party at a private villa at the hills of Cap Martinet, Ibiza.
He said: “I throw everything into my music, refining it and fine tuning it, until it hits right. That’s the same vibe I get with Grey Goose Altius.
“The dedication, the attention to detail —it’s about the craft in every drop, which is exactly what you want, when you’re celebrating something real.”
The party also included sets from Ibizan DJ resident, Doorly, Rudimental’s King Crowney, as well as DJ Aniurks, while guests were among the first to try the Grey Goose Altius before heading to an after party at luxury nightspot Club Chinois, where the drinks brand hosted the VIP area.
Idris famously DJed at the wedding reception of Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and he previously revealed the former actress showed off her moves on the dancefloor.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, he said: “You know what? I was so nervous.”
Asked who the best dancer was, he replied: “I think Meghan was the one that was really like letting it go. You know, she was real… She just had a lot of fun. It was her wedding. So she had the greatest time.”
At the time, the 51-year-old star joked he had to offer his services in lieu of handing over a present to Prince Harry and his wife Meghan because he “couldn’t afford anything”.
Asked if he ever got paid for the gig, he said during an appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’: “No! No, but it was my gift to my friends. I can’t afford anything [so I said] ‘Can I just DJ?!’…
“Weddings are great and I hadn’t DJ a wedding for a long time and that was fun. I was having a great time.”
And it seems the ‘Molly’s Game’ actor had to stick to a strict playlist.
Asked if he played anything by Queen to get Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, on the dancefloor, he said: “It wasn’t on the playlist. I played some Dr. Dre.”
Grey Goose Altius available exclusively in the world’s best bars, nightclubs and restaurants in 700ml and 1.75l with pricing at the discretion of the venue.
It is available in European hotspots including Mykonos, Saint Tropez and Porto Cervo now ahead of debuting in London, Paris and the USA this Autumn.

Sony ‘in talks to buy Queen catalogue for hundreds of millions’

OHMYGOSSIP — Sony Music is reportedly in talks to buy the Queen music catalogue for £800 million.
The ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ legends – whose biggest hits include the likes of ‘We Are The Champions’, ‘Radio Gaga’ and ‘We Will Rock You’ – are said to be discussing a potential deal for their iconic collection of songs.
According to Bloomberg, Sony is working with another investor on the offer, which would be the biggest of its kind and include merchandise and other business ventures.
It’s said discussions for the $1 billion deal are ongoing, and might not result in an actual agreement being made.
Sir Brian May, Roger Taylor, John Deacon and the estate of Freddie Mercury are all equal shareholders in Queen Productions Ltd.
It’s said there have also been initial conversations between the band’s lawyers and Sony, who owns their masters for North America, and Universal Music Group.
Earlier this year, it was suggested that Deacon – who has not taken part in any public work for the group since the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert in 1992, following the frontman’s death the previous year – will not include his share of the assets in a potential deal.
Other classic tracks in the catalogue include the likes of ‘Another One Bites The Dust’, ‘Crazy Little Thing Called Love’, ‘Killer Queen’ and ‘Somebody To Love’, while the group released 15 studio albums, including 1995’s final LP ‘Made In Heaven’, which features recordings Mercury made before his death.
An agreement comes as a number of high profile songwriting catalogues have been sold in recent years, with the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Bob Dylan and David Bowie’s collections being acquired for hundreds of millions of dollars.
They have proven to be an attractive investment for labels, with the prospect of repeated royalties through usage in films and TV, as well as radio play or adverts.

Snow Patrol unveil first album as a trio and arena tour

OHMYGOSSIP — Snow Patrol are making a comeback with the new album ‘The Forest Is The Path’.
The ‘Chasing Cars’ hitmakers are now a trio comprising Gary Lightbody, Nathan Connolly and Johnny McDaid, following the departures of drummer Jonny Quinn and bassist Paul Wilson.
Due for release on September 13, the follow-up to 2018’s ‘Wildness’ is produced by Fraser T Smith (Adele/Dave/Stormzy) and the band.
The lead single, ‘The Beginning’, out now, marks a fresh start for the group, who have also announced a UK and Ireland arena tour for 2025.
Gary said: “The first day we wrote The Beginning, start to finish.
Johnny said: “And he did the vocal in one take.
“Straight after writing the lyrics. So it has this mind-collapsing quality to it where you feel like you’re seeing into someone’s soul.”
Gary opens up about how after not being in a relationship for more than a decade, the love you had for that person fades over time, but they are always in the background.
He explained: “I haven’t been in a relationship for a very long time, 10 years or more, so love from a distance to me meant the way a relationship sits in your memory from a distance of, say, 10 years. That’s not something I’d previously thought about as away to write about love. So it’s like, when you’re in love, you’re standing in the lobby of the Empire State Building. When you’ve broken up with that person, you’re out in the street. You can still see the building, but you’re not in there anymore. And when it’s 10 years later, now you’re standing in Brooklyn looking at the Manhattan skyline.”
The frontman added of the consistent theme that crops up throughout the LP: “That’s kind of a summing up of this album.
“It’s a way of looking at various mistakes, any pain I may have caused, from a place where nothing is hurting anymore, except the memory when you pull it back into your mind. The memory itself is full of hurt but everything around it isn’t. You’re holding in your hand this ball of fire, but now you’ve got gloves on.”
Snow Patrol are set to play eight shows as part of their arena run, including The O2 in London on February 15, 2025.
Fans who pre-order ‘The Forest Is The Path’ from Snow Patrol’s store will get access to tour pre-sale. Tickets go on pre-sale on June 5 at 10am and general sale on June 7 at 10am.

John Lennon’s acoustic guitar sells for an eye-watering £1.5m

OHMYGOSSIP — John Lennon’s guitar has broken the record for the highest-selling piece of Beatles memorabilia after it was sold for an eye-watering £1.5 million.
The 12-string Hootenanny acoustic, which was used by the late music legend on the iconic group’s 1965 album and film ‘Help!’, had been sitting unused in an attic for the past 50 years.
Initially, the guitar wound up in the hands of Scottish musician Gordon Waller, of pop duo Peter and Gordon, but he passed it onto a colleague.
The most recent owners, who reside in Britain, had received an estimate of £485,000 to £647,000.
The Julien’s Auctions sale took place at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York on Wednesday (29.05.24).
David Goodman, chief executive of Julien’s Auctions, commented: “We are absolutely thrilled and honoured to have set a new world record with the sale of John Lennon’s lost hootenanny guitar.
“This guitar is not only a piece of music history but a symbol of John Lennon’s enduring legacy.
“[The sale] symbolises what we do best at Julien’s – creating opportunities for people to reconnect with the cultural touchstones that have shaped the moments that matter most throughout their lives.”
The record-breaking sale comes after late Beatles guitarist George Harrison’s sitar was sold at auction for $66,993.
The musician bought the instrument on Oxford Street in London in 1965, and he used it during the recording sessions for ‘Norwegian Wood’, which featured on the band’s ‘Rubber Soul’ album, and it just so happens that the Hootenanny guitar was used for the recording too.
The latter instrument – which was invented in medieval India – ignited Harrison’s lifelong passion for Indian music, culture, and Hindu spirituality, while it also sparked a broader interest in sitars among other Western musicians.
Harrison visited India for the first time in 1966, where he studied the sitar under the tutelage of Ravi Shankar.
The instrument ultimately helped Harrison to develop a deeper understanding of Eastern melodies and philosophy.
Harrison subsequently created a series of Indian-style compositions, such as ‘Within You Without You’ and ‘Love You To’.
And Harrison’s iconic sitar sold at Nate D. Sanders Auctions in Los Angeles for the substantial sum of money.
Meanwhile, in February, it was announced that Sir Sam Mendes is set to make four separate films about each member of The Beatles.
The 58-year-old filmmaker previously pitched the idea of making four separate movies about Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Ringo Starr, John Lennon and George Harrison to executives in Hollywood, and Tom Rothman and Elizabeth Gabler, of Sony Pictures Entertainment, were both wowed by his ambitious plans.
Sam – who will direct all four films – told Deadline: “We went out to Los Angeles just before Christmas to pitch the project, and it’s fair to say we were met with universal enthusiasm.
“The reason Sony stood out from competing offers was down to Tom and Elizabeth’s passion for the idea, and commitment to propelling these films theatrically in an innovative and exciting way.”

Heart cancel European tour as Ann Wilson prepares for ‘routine medical procedure’

OHMYGOSSIP — Heart have axed their European tour as singer Ann Wilson is set to undergo a “time-sensitive, but routine medical procedure”.
The 73-year-old rock legend – who shot to fame as the lead singer of the ‘Barracuda’ group alongside her younger sister, Nancy Wilson, 70, in the mid-70s – has apologised to fans for being forced to cancel the concerts but insisted they are not to “worry” as she is doing “okay”.
However, she will require six weeks recovery from the undisclosed operation.
Reassuring fans, she posted to X: “I’m okay! Please don’t worry.
“I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
It’s certainly an inconvenience for me.
Love and respect always, Ann.”
Squeeze were due to open for Heart.
Refunds are being offered.
The group completed part of their North American leg this month and are due to re-start it this July.
Meanwhile, Ann previously reflected on still making music in her 70s: “I think that for someone who’s been through as much as I have, and has lived to tell the tales, it’s OK to share my experiences.
“I’ve heard from a lot of younger musicians and listeners, too, who have thanked me for staying around and for just keeping upright, just making it through, making the concessions once but not twice, and being able to live through it all with dignity.”

Geezer Butler wants to reunite with Black Sabbath at Aston Villa’s ground

OHMYGOSSIP — Geezer Butler is up for playing one final Black Sabbath show at Aston Villa’s ground.
There was a “lot of miscommunication” between the bassist and frontman Ozzy Osbourne over Geezer not contacting him over his ongoing health issues, but it turns out, it was a misunderstanding; he wasn’t ignoring him – and they are both on good terms now.
Appearing on Eddie Trunk’s ‘Trunk Nation’, Geezer explained: “There was a lot of miscommunication (before).
“He didn’t think I was asking about his health because I know he’s been going through a lot of health problems, and I was sending all these messages to him and they weren’t being passed on to him. So he thought I was just ignoring him.”
He continued: “The weird way I had to go through Sabbath’s accountant to tell Ozzy I’d sent him all these things. Because he did this thing in Rolling Stone saying that I hadn’t been in touch with him about his health.
“So I went through the accountant, and he got in touch with Ozzy and said, ‘He’s just been sending you stuff. He wants to talk to you.’ And we’ve been fine since that.”
In an expletive-laden rant, Ozzy had told Rolling Stone: “You do find out who’s a genuine friend when you’ve been through what I’ve had.
Tony Iommi has been so supportive of me since my illness. Geezer Butler hasn’t given me one f****** phone call. Not one f****** call.”
He continued: “It’s sad, man. We all grew up together, and he can’t pick up the f****** phone like a man and see how I’m doing. Even Bill Ward has been in touch with me.
“I’m not in shock, I’m just very f****** sad that he can’t just call me after all this time and say, ‘How you doing?’ F****** a***hole.”
In response, Geezer said: “Rumour has it; Ozzy is upset, saying he never received my get well messages.
“I made 2 different attempts at getting in touch during his illnesses. My first email (8 Feb, 2019) went through his office because I didn’t have Ozzy’s new number to text him. Sharon responded but I didn’t hear back from Ozzy.
“11 months later (21 Jan, 2020), I emailed Sharon to check on Oz. That email went unanswered.
“I don’t want to engage in a tit for tat. Having made 2 attempts to wish Ozzy well , without a reply, I figured it best to privately keep him in my thoughts.”
Sharon recently dropped a huge hint that Ozzy will play two gigs in Aston, Birmingham, at Villa Park, the home of Premier League giants Aston Villa.
She said: “We will do it in Aston Villa where Ozzy is from.”
“Of course there’s an interest (on my part to do it), but there’s a big ‘but’ — you’d have to speak to Bill about it. Everybody wants to do it (but I don’t know if he is) capable (of pulling it off).
“I’d love to do it. I’d absolutely love to do it.”
And Geezer is keen.
Ozzy is also determined to reunite with former drummer Bill Ward – who opted out of their reunion tour in 2012, with Tommy Clufetos stepping in for both those concerts and the final ‘The End Tour’ in 2016-2017 – one last time, but that’s down to him.
Geezer said: “Ozzy was hoping to finish it all off next year back in Aston, at the Aston Villa ground. I’m definitely up for it, to finish the whole thing off.”
When asked if guitarist Tony Iommi or Bill Ward were aware, he replied: “Me and Ozzy have agreed, but I’m not sure about anybody else.”

Camila Cabello slid into Drake’s DMs to get him on her album

OHMYGOSSIP — Camila Cabello slid into Drake’s DMs to get him on her new album.
The ‘I Luv It’ hitmaker and the 37-year-old rap superstar were rumoured to be dating when they were spotted jet skiing in Turks and Caicos together, but it turns out she was getting the ‘Rich Flex’ star to lay down his lines for one of the two tracks he’s on.
Drake has his own song, ‘Hot Uptown’, on the star-studded LP, and he is featured on the interlude ‘Uuugly’.
Speaking to Billboard magazine about getting Drake on ‘C, XOXO’, she spilled: “He’s the f****** GOAT, so it felt like shooting for the stars.
“I showed him the album when I felt comfortable enough and he really liked it. [The feature] came out of a non-transactional place. He had this idea of a song called ‘Hot Uptown,’ and it just felt like I was in the city. I was in Miami.”
She added: “Why does he have his own song? Because selfishly, I just want to hear Drake on my own album. “I love that for me — it’s like that rebellious mood. Who says I can’t do that? It’s Drake talking his s***.”
So far, she has released the singles ‘I Luv It’ featuring Playboy Carti and ‘He Knows’ with Lil Nas X.
Meanwhile, Camila recently recalled getting stuck in a lift with the latter “for a good hour”.
The pair were on the way to promote their collaboration at gay nightclub Heart in Los Angeles when disaster struck in her apartment building, and though the two stars were “low-key terrified”, they did their best to keep spirits up among those trapped in the small space.
Speaking to Rolling Stone magazine, Camila said: “Panic attacks were happening left and right, honey.
“People were dropping like flies emotionally, but me and Nas, we were cracking jokes — but were low-key terrified.
“We were in there for a good hour. It was crazy because it’s the elevator in my building and I walk into that elevator every day and I’ve never seen it the way I saw it that night. The mirrors were steamed up like it was a shower because it was so hot and there was no AC.”
But the 27-year-old singer and her pal soon stopped joking after a stark warning from her 25-year-old pal’s security team.
She said: “Nas’ security guard is like, ‘I would keep the chatter to a minimum because you guys are about to start taking up all the carbon monoxide and that’s how people pass out.’
“Nas was like, ‘If we weren’t f****** panicking before, we sure are panicking now.'”
The ‘Havana’ singer noted the experience brought her and Nas closer together.
The former Fifth Harmony singer loved working with the ‘Old Town Road’ hitmaker.
She gushed: “He’s the kind of artist where it’s more than just the song. He really puts thought and care into the performance. He plays with the fans. He cares about the music video and making a statement.”

Eminem relives Without Me video for Houdini

OHMYGOSSIP — Eminem has recreated scenes from his ‘Without Me’ video in the promo for his new track ‘Houdini’.
The 51-year-old rapper is returning with his first new album in four years – ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)’ – and he released the lead single on Friday (31.05.24) alongside the video which sees him relive moments from his classic 2002 promo alongside guest stars Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Pete Davidson.
Eminem even goes back to his trademark bleach blonde hair which he was known for in the early days of his career.
The hip-hip star previously shared news of his new album as he appeared at the 2024 NFL Draft in his home city of Detroit, Michigan, on April 25.
He appeared with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell as they kicked off the Annual Player Selection Meeting and a trailer circulated of a fake reporter announcing the death of Eminem’s alter ego Slim Shady.
They said: “Through his complex and often-criticised, tongue-twisting rhymes, the blonde anti-hero known as Slim Shady has had no shortage of enemies.”
His rap peer, 50 Cent, said: “He’s not a friend, he’s a psychopath.”
The reporter continued: “The same rude lyrics and controversial antics may have ultimately led to his demise. Join me as we recreate the events that led to the murder of Slim Shady.”
Eminem – whose last album was 2020’s ‘Music to Be Murdered By’ – shared the clip on Instagram along with the album’s title and summer 2024 release window.
In March, Dr. Dre confirmed he has songs on Eminem’s upcoming album. Speaking on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’, he said: “Let me explain something to you right now.
“Eminem is working on his own album which is coming out this year and I actually talked to him and he said it was OK for me to make that announcement right here on this show.
“I’ve got songs on it and it’s fire. I’m actually going to hear the entire album for the first time tomorrow. “He holds his music close to his chest, so I haven’t heard everything. I haven’t even heard everything complete that I’ve done, but I’m gonna hear it, and he’s putting out an album this year.”

Selena Gomez: I don’t know if I’ll do another major tour

OHMYGOSSIP — Selena Gomez is “50-50” about embarking on another major tour.
The 31-year-old star loves connecting with her fans on stage – but Selena also finds touring to be a really “draining” experience.
The ‘Lose You to Love Me’ hitmaker told TIME magazine: “Nothing makes me happier than 90 minutes of being with my fans and just celebrating together.”
Selena explained that touring can be more physically and emotionally taxing than many people might realise.
The chart-topping star – who has also enjoyed significant success as an actress – said: “It is very emotionally draining for me. And then you realise you’re just surrounded by a bunch of people that you’re paying.”
In 2020, Selena revealed that she’d been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
And the brunette beauty recently suggested that the news actually came as bit of a relief for her.
Speaking at the TIME100 Summit in New York City, Selena explained: “All these confusing things were happening.
“Once I finally found the answer, it wasn’t ‘Oh, I have this problem.’ It actually made me feel better to know and understand what was happening in my mind.”
Selena has found various ways of dealing with the condition, including sharing her story with others.
The ‘Only Murders in the Building’ actress found that many people were going through similar experiences and that helped Selena to realise that she’s not as “alone” as she initially felt.
Selena – who started dating record producer Benny Blanco in 2023 – said: “Once you start to share a tiny bit, you just realise how much less alone you are and how so many of us are more alike than we are different.”

The 45-year-old star will be honoured for his career achievements at the BET Awards at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles on June 30.
Connie Orlando, the BET EVP, Specials, Music Programming and Music Strategy, said: “The relationship between BET and Usher spans decades, from his multiple appearances on 106 and Park, to most recently winning the Entertainer of the Year trophy at the 55th NAACP Image Awards.
“From his chart-topping hits, electrifying performances, and unforgettable vocals to his signature moves and sound, Usher continues to stand on culture, setting new standards for the music industry and black excellence.
“We look forward to creating an amazing line-up to pay tribute to our global icon.”
Previous winners of the award include Whitney Houston, Prince, Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige, Samuel Jackson, and Lionel Richie.
Usher performed the Super Bowl half-time show in Las Vegas earlier this year, and the chart-topping star admitted that it was one of the highlights of his career.
The singer explained that he wanted to produce a memorable performance for his fans.
Speaking prior to the event, he told Vogue: “It has to be perfect.
“I’ve been doing this for 30 years. I want people who have been a part of that journey to feel like it’s a celebration for everybody, for all of us, from the beginning up until this point.”
Usher also wanted fans to feel “hopeful” after watching his performance.
He shared: “People will tune in for a football game, but I hope when they look at that half-time performance, I’m hoping they walk away with something that’s healing them.
“Something that makes them feel hopeful, and not just look at the past, but have hope for the future, and have hope for a different type of future than we’re looking at right now in the present.”

Take That take a trip down memory lane

OHMYGOSSIP — Take That took fans on a trip down memory lane in Milton Keynes on Thursday (30.05.24) night.
The trio used the second segment of their ‘This Life On Tour’ set at Stadium MK to look back on their lengthy career, with 80s TV-show themed surroundings, beginning with ‘A Million Love Songs’, the group’s sixth single, which was written by Gary Barlow when he was just 15 years old.
From there, they performed another early hit, ‘It Only Takes a Minute’, followed by ‘Pray’ – complete with iconic dance routine – before recalling how they split and launched solo careers, with Howard Donald introducing Gary on piano to sing his ballad ‘Forever Love’ and then Mark Owen’s lively rendition of ‘Clementine’.
Howard noted he hadn’t had the chance to release his own solo single, but treated fans to what he had intended to bring out, ‘Speak Without Words’.
The trio then staged a mock phone call with one another to discuss a potential reunion, 10 years after they had split, before belting out 2006 comeback track ‘Patience’. This was followed by ‘The Flood’, taken from ‘Progress’, their reunion album with former band member Robbie Williams, and the segment was closed out with ‘Get Ready For It’, which appeared on ‘III’, the group’s first album as a trio following the departures of Robbie and Jason Orange.
The high-energy show had opened with the trio dressed all in black, treating fans to new songs ‘Keep Your Head Up’, ‘Windows’ and ‘Days I Hate Myself’, as well as old favourites ‘Giants’, ‘Everything Changes’ and ‘Sure’, with the later track seeing the trio running around the stage and up and down the two staircases that dominated the set, though Gary admitted towards the end it had left him exhausted.
During the second half of the show, the band donned striking metallic silver outfits – complete with crowns – and greeted fans as they walked through to a smaller second stage in the middle of the stadium, while ‘Relight My Fire’ saw them return to the main stage amid pyrotechnics that made it look like the staircases were on fire.
Fans shone their phone lights throughout the crowd for ‘Hold Up a Light’, and the gig ended with a singalong high of ‘Back For Good’, You and Me’, ‘Never Forget’ – which saw another return to the second stage – before fireworks went up in the sky to bring the curtain down as the band performed ‘Rule the World’.
