Roger Daltrey rules out The Who avatar show

OHMYGOSSIP — Roger Daltrey has ruled out a The Who avatar show.
Despite Pete Townshend insisting that he would love for the band to feature in a digital concert residency similar to Abba Voyage in London, Roger said he would not be interested.
He quipped to Ultimate Classic Rock: “What, we’re going to go out and do ABBA covers? I don’t think so. I’d look awful in a mini dress!”
He went on: “I’ve never thought about it. I wouldn’t want to go and see it.”
Roger’s comments came after Pete claimed he now only tours for the money and said performing with The Who doesn’t really excite him.
He told The New York Times: “It feels to me like there’s one thing The Who can do, and that’s a final tour where we play every territory in the world and then crawl off to die. I don’t get much of a buzz from performing with The Who. If I’m really honest, I’ve been touring for the money. My idea of an ordinary lifestyle is pretty elevated.
“The Who isn’t Daltrey and Townshend onstage at 80, pretending to be young. It’s the four of us in 1964, when we were 18 or 19. If you want to see The Who myth, wait for the avatar show. It would be good!”
And, Daltrey said he is not focusing on his legacy.
He told UCR: “I don’t think about it. This is my job that I got lucky enough to be successful at, and how lucky was I? What a fantastic [life]. You know, I was always a worker. I worked in a factory for five years. I do other work apart from the Who. I’ve got a farm. I do a lot of work for Teen Cancer America and the Teenage Cancer Trust in the U.K. I’m driven by that just as much as I was driven by the Who. So there’s always something to be done. I’ve just always, somehow or another, landed on my feet. I’ve been very lucky. I do appreciate that fact.”

Kylie Minogue dreams of Las Vegas return

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Minogue would happily return to Las Vegas for another residency.
The Grammy-award winning singer – who released her 16th studio album, ‘Tension’, last year – wowed fans in Sin City with her ‘More Than Just A Residency’ show at the Voltaire, and the ‘Padam Padam’ hitmaker has admitted she would love to do another run of shows because she had such a great time.
The 56-year-old singer told Britain’s HELLO! magazine: “My residency was so much fun.
“The audience seemed to be wilder and wilder, and the energy in the room was incredible. I will miss it, but I hope to be back when I can.”
Kylie – who headlined Glastonbury in 2019 – has also promised to spring a “surprise” on fans when she takes to the stage at BST Hyde Park in London in July.
The actress-turned-singer shared: “I need to get to plenty of other places in the meantime. I always love performing at Hyde Park.
“There’s a special magic in the air and so much love between the stage and the crowd. I can’t wait to share the moment with everyone and I may have a surprise up my sleeve.”
Meanwhile, Kylie recently celebrated her 56th birthday, and the pop star took to social media to mark the occasion.
Kylie – who is the sister of singer Dannii Minogue – wrote on X and Instagram: “It’s my birthdaaaaaay!! Thanks Mum and Dad [flower emoji] You’re the best! Thanks brother and sister. Also, the best! Celebrating with you [heart emoji].
“And thanks for all the beautiful messages from around the world. I LOOOOOOVE YOUUUU!!! (sic)”

Liam Gallagher performed a Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds cover

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher shocked fans by performing ‘Half the World Away’ and a cover of rival sibling and former bandmate Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds song.
The brothers have feuded ever since Oasis split following a backstage bust-up between the pair at their final concert in Paris in 2009, but during the opening night of his solo ‘Definitely Maybe 30th anniversary’ tour, in Sheffield on Saturday night (01.06.24), Liam dedicated 1994 B-side ‘Half the World Away’, which was originally led by Noel, to “my little brother”.
The 51-year-old singer took it one step further and put his own spin on a demo version of ‘Lock All the Doors’ by Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, in another apparent tribute to his 57-year-old arch-nemesis.
The rock ‘n’ roll star previously claimed his estranged sibling turned down his offer to reunite with him on the jaunt.
When a fan asked if Noel would be taking part, Liam replied: “He’s been asked and he’s refused.”
Liam is, however, joined by Oasis guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, 58.
The tour is heading to cities including London, Cardiff, Glasgow, and Dublin.
As well as performing hits including ‘Live Forever’, Cigarettes and Alcohol’ and ‘Supersonic’, he’ll sing fan-favourites ‘Whatever’, ‘Fade Away’, ‘Listen Up’ and his version of ‘Sad Song’.
Oasis are also releasing the reissue ‘Definitely Maybe (30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition)’.
Set for release on August 30 – the release date of the landmark 1994 LP – the new formats boast tracks from abandoned from the original recording session at Monnow Valley Studios, as well as outtakes recorded at Sawmills Studios in Cornwall, newly mixed for the first time by Noel with Callum Marinho.
Another treat includes frontman Liam singing on a demo version of ‘Sad Song’, which was a bonus track on the original album.
Meanwhile, Noel recently hinted he would be keen to have an Oasis hologram show after being impressed by ABBA’s lucrative ‘ABBA Voyage’ extravaganza.

Gary Barlow feared Take That would NEVER tour again

OHMYGOSSIP — Gary Barlow feared Take That would never tour again.
The ‘Patience’ group are back on the road this year with ‘This Life On Tour’ in support of their latest album ‘This Life’ featuring dates across the UK and Ireland, as well as Europe and Australia, but at one point, the 53-year-old songwriter was worried the group might never get back on stage again.
He told heat magazine: “We’re all relieved [to be back on tour]. There was definitely a moment three or four years ago when we thought: ‘Will we ever be back onstage again?’
“So it was a huge relief to go back on tour. We’ve been hugely ambitious, and we’re really proud to be playing the amount of dates we’re playing. It’s been terrific so far”.
Bandmate Mark Owen added that they are all incredibly proud of the way their live shows have evolved over the years.
He told the publication: “The tour brings us all together … The creative process of us going on the road is the part that we really enjoy – it’s something we take great pride in …
“As time has gone on … we started seeing ourselves more like a brand. We started to look into new ways of presenting ourselves because we can’t spin on our heads any more – we’re too old! The wonderful thing about being in Take That for 35 years now is the growth that we, as a band, have made over that time.”
It comes after Gary previously admitted he was keen to include virtual reality in the concerts after seeing U2 perform an innovative show at the Sphere venue in Las Vegas which features a 160,000 sq ft LED screen wrapped around the auditorium.
Gary told the Sunday Mirror newspaper of seeing U2: “When the screen came on, 18,000 people breathed in. Things like the Sphere, or headsets and VR are going to move our music on.
“Imagine coming to our gig and everyone’s got those goggles on … that’s where I think the improvements are going to come.
“We’ve been listening to music a long time, then we had videos to accompany the music. What’s next? I think experiences are going to get bigger.”

Megan Thee Stallion sets album release date

OHMYGOSSIP — Megan Thee Stallion’s third album will be called ‘Megan’ and it will be released on June 28.
The 29-year-old rapper has been teasing the new record’s release with a series of snake-themed singles – ‘Cobra’, ‘Boa’ and ‘Hiss’ – and she made the announcement about the album’s name and release date during her show at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on Sunday night (03,05.24) by giving fans a QR code they can use to pre-order the record.
It comes after Megan explained the snake-theme to her new work, telling L’Officiel: “We don’t just stop at the snake. This is just what everybody sees right now.
“Renewal, rebirth: that is the whole concept of this [album]. We started with the snake because, first of all, I love snakes, but I feel like snakes are so misunderstood, especially in western culture.
“Snakes represent rebirth, spirituality. I’m not really a person that’s like, Oh my God, sunshine and just super bubbly, happy.
“I like darker things. I like things that are a little scary. I like things that are unique. I picked the snake because … it’s kind of like an antihero.”
She added of the album’s sound: “It won’t feel like I went so left. It’ll feel true to me. You’ll almost be like, ‘I wouldn’t have thought she would’ve rapped over that, but this sounds great’.”
‘Megan’ will be available to stream and purchase from June 28.
The rapper kicked off her ‘Hot Girl Summer Tour’ with a show in Minneapolis on May 14. She will perform across North America over the summer before heading to the UK to play Glasgow and Manchester. She will then perform in Paris, Amsterdam, Cologne, and then heading to Dublin, Birmingham, and London, and wrapping with a slot at Washington’s Broccoli City Festival.
During a previous appearance on Good Morning America’, Megan said of the tour: “Oh, we’re having the tour this year. The ‘Hot Girl Summer Tour’ is gonna be 2024 summertime.
“I feel like I’ve never been able to be outside during my early days during the summer since 2019.”

Frank Carter to perform legendary Sex Pistols album with Paul Cook, Glen Matlock and Steve Jones

OHMYGOSSIP — Frank Carter and the Sex Pistols’ Paul Cook, Glen Matlock and Steve Jones are set to perform the iconic album ‘Never Mind The B*******’ in full in a bid to save the legendary London music venue Bush Hall.
The 40-year-old Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes frontman will perform lead vocals in the place of 68-year-old singer Johnny Rotten/John Lydon – who is not on good terms with his former bandmates – at a pair of fundraising shows on August 13 and 14.
Money raised from tickets of their performances of the landmark 1977 punk rock record will go towards preserving the independent venue.
Tickets go on sale this Wednesday (05.06.24) via www.livenation.co.uk/artist-frank-carter-and-sex-pistols-1501314.
Both drummer Paul, 67, and guitarist Steve, 68, grew up seeing shows there, while Frank performed at Bush Hall in 2012 for his debut live show with his former group, Pure Love.
Frank and Steve bonded when he was interviewed on the latter’s radio show in 2008.
Frank said: “This has been a joy from start to finish. When the Sex Pistols call, you answer. I’m very excited to be a part of it.”
Paul commented: “We’re doing a benefit for Bush Hall with the famous Frank Carter. We’re going to be playing Pistols numbers cause they need support and they need the money. We thought it would be a great way to stop it going under. This is my local venue. I grew up in Shepherd’s Bush and I still live round here. It would be a real shame to see it disappear and we want to keep it going. So everyone get down to the gig!”
Steve quipped:, “If it all goes wrong, it’s Paul’s f****** fault.”
Bassist Glen Matlock, 67, added: “I tend to agree with Steve.
“Smaller music venues are the lifeblood of new music. It’s in these intimate spaces that raw talent gets a chance to shine, where bands can really connect with their audiences, and where the spirit of live music truly comes alive, so we need to keep them going.”
Last year, Bush Hall saw a 24.5 per cent decrease in live music bookings.
The money raised will go towards “bettering in-house facilities and supporting emerging artists through reigniting their Bush Hall Presents’ programming.”
Promoter John Giddings – who puts on The Isle of Wight Festival – said: “Without treasured music venues like Bush Hall, we wouldn’t have the festival headliners of today. Bush Hall is where artists cut their teeth and hone their craft. It’s essential that these venues continue to exist for the music industry to thrive and evolve. That’s non-negotiable. Thanks to the Sex Pistols and Frank Carter for stepping up – this gig will be one hell of a night.”

Jung Kook to release song in tribute of BTS’ ARMY

OHMYGOSSIP — Jung Kook is set to release a song dedicated to the BTS ARMY.
The 26-year-old star will drop ‘Never Let Go’ on Friday (07.06.24), a “heartfelt tribute” and “token of gratitude” for the “boundless love” they’ve received from the K-pop boy band’s loyal fans.
An update by the group’s label BIG HIT MUSIC, on Weverse, read: “We are excited to announce the release of BTS member Jung Kook’s fan song “Never Let Go.”
““Never Let Go” is a heartfelt tribute to Jung Kook’s fans encapsulating the message “to never let go of each other’s hands,” as a token of gratitude for the boundless love from ARMY all over the world. We appreciate your anticipation and excitement for the new track.
“Thank you for your continued love and support for BTS.”
Meanwhile, Jung Kook previously declared that the “synergy of BTS in 2025” will be “incredible”.
The South Korean boy band have been on a break since last summer due to the band members – also including RM, Suga, Jin, J-Hope, V, and Jimin – focusing on solo projects and carrying out mandatory military service.
And Jung kook – who released his debut solo album, ‘Golden’, last November – has admitted he is missing his bandmates and is excited about their reunion.
Speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, he said: “We were always together for so many years that I felt the void of them not being next to me. You know, I miss them… I think the synergy of BTS in 2025 will be incredible.”
Jung Kook’s quote echoed that of his bandmate V, who said when they announced their break, their “synergy will be like no other” when they regroup.
On the loneliness of being a solo artist, Jung Kook said: “Preparing as a solo artist and also working as a solo musician… there were times where I really missed BTS.
“When I was in the green room or alone on stage, or even while having meals with the staff, the absence of their presence next to me became so apparent. We had spent so many years together that their absence left a noticeable void.”
Announcing their hiatus, RM said it was time for them to work on their own, adding: “I always thought that BTS was different from other groups, but the problem with K-pop and the whole idol system is that they don’t give you time to mature.
“You have to keep producing music and keep doing something.”
J-Hope said: “I think we should spend some time apart to learn how to be one again. I hope you don’t see this as a negative thing and see it as a healthy plan. I think BTS will become stronger that way.”

Teddy Swims and Will Smith have been in the studio together

OHMYGOSSIP — Teddy Swims has worked on new music with Will Smith.
The ‘Lose Control’ hitmaker has no idea what will happen to his work with the 55-year-old Hollywood star-and-rapper, but he’s now in a group WhatsApp group with him and his mom, a super-fan of the ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ star.
Speaking to NME, he spilled: “I don’t know what’s going to happen with it and can’t confirm anything, but just being with him and learning knowledge and wisdom from someone who’s been through it all was crazy.
“I was at his house and trying to FaceTime my mom because she loves him.
“She didn’t answer but he gave me his number and, the next morning, he texted at 8am saying I could put us all in a group chat.”
The 31-year-old singer was full of praise of the ‘Men in Black’ star – who caused controversy when he slapped comedian Chris Rock, 59, at the Oscars in 2022 – adding: “He’s the sweetest guy ever.”
Elsewhere, the ‘Door’ singer admitted he knew the moment they wrapped on ‘Lose Control’ that it would transform his life.
He said of the viral tune: “When we wrote it, that was the first time that I ever felt in my heart that ‘this song is gonna change my life’.
“I knew that the song was going to be what it was and I had never felt that way before about anything I did.”

Pixies’ new tracks inspired by movie zombie attacks and sci-fi ‘monster epic’

OHMYGOSSIP — Pixies’ new double A-side single was inspired by the feel of movie zombie attacks and a sci-fi “monster epic”.
The group’s record features the tracks ‘You’re So Impatient’ and ‘Que Sera, Sera’, which have both debuted on Steve Lamacq’s BBC Radio 6 Music show.
A press release for their new AA-side release put out on Monday (03.06.24) says it “finds Pixies creating a macabre and cinematic picture of American pop culture”.
‘You’re So Impatient’ was described as a “furious punk ditty” and “an explosive two-minute, nine-second Zombie attack at the mall”.
The release added the Pixies “twist the classic 1950s standard ‘Que Sera, Sera’ into a dark folk tale, told anew through the lens of a sci-fi monster epic”.
It was originally recorded as the soundtrack for the US TV Show ‘From’.
A limited edition seven-inch single including the tracks will be released on 19 July.
The band’s 59-year-old songwriter and guitarist Black Francis – born Charles Michael Kittridge Thompson IV – said about the ‘You’re So Impatient’ track: “‘You’re So Impatient’ is a slightly comedic suburban culture moment: there’s this guy, there’s this gal, there’s this tug-of-love dynamic going on. But the backdrop is the mall.
“And while the mall is crass, it’s also a very zombie, rock ‘n’ roll horror movie setting.”
This year is billed as “momentous” for the Pixies as it marks 35 years since their groundbreaking Platinum album ‘Doolittle’ catapulted the band into the UK Top 20.
It’s also two decades since their celebrated reformation at Coachella.
Pixies’ new AA side single arrives amid a packed touring schedule set to take in around 70 live shows across the world through 2024.
They have just kicked off a North American tour with Modest Mouse and Cat Power, and will return to the UK in August for a run of already sold out headline shows, including the Glasgow Academy and Halifax’s Piece Hall.
The shows will mark Pixies’ second visit to the UK this year following a sold out run of gigs celebrating the ‘Bossanova’ and ‘Trompe Le Monde’ albums, which included a three-night residency at London’s Kentish Town Form.

Blossoms’ new music video will star Rick Astley – and is inspired by gorilla statue theft

OHMYGOSSIP — Blossoms’ new music video will star Rick Astley and is based on the headline-grabbing true story of a huge fibreglass gorilla being stolen from a garden centre.
The band revealed details of the upcoming promo as they announced details of their highly anticipated fifth studio album ‘Gary’ – named after the primate sculpture that inspired the video.
Singer Tom Ogden, 31, said: “The video is directed by myself and my brother Ewan Ogden and it picks up where our last video left off.
“The song is based on a true story I heard on the radio last year – Gary the eight foot fibreglass gorilla was stolen from Reynard Garden Centre in Carluke, Scotland.
“We’ve recreated the story on screen with Rick Astley playing Andrew Scott, the owner of the garden centre, and the band stealing Gary.
“This video was so much fun to make and was shot again on 16mm film, on location around Stockport, the Peak District, and Derbyshire.
“The song itself is the centrepiece of the album and after toying with different titles, we kept going back to Gary. In the end, it could only be ‘Gary’.”
The giant Gary primate statue was stolen from a Lanarkshire garden centre in 2023 before being reunited with its owner Andrew a year later.
Blossoms’ ‘Gary’ video was directed by Tom and his brother Ewan, with their singer friend Rick, 58, making a comeback for them in the promo after he made a cameo in the band’s previous video for ‘What Can I Say After I’m Sorry?’
Blossoms’ new album is due for release on September 20 and is produced by the band’s regular collaborator James Skelly of The Coral, alongside Jungle’s Josh-Lloyd Watson, who produced ‘What Can I Say After I’m Sorry?’ and ‘Nightclub’.
Singer CMAT (Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson), 28, has also co-written two tracks on the album – ‘I Like Your Look’ and ‘Why Do I Give You the Worst of Me?’
Tom added: “The heart of this record is about the five of us recording live in a room together for the first time in years.
“We wanted to capture the energy of what it’s like when five friends decide to start a band and make music together.
“We collaborated more than we ever have on this record too, and alongside working with long-time collaborator James Skelly, we brought in Josh and CMAT.
“We hired an AirBnB on the seafront in Anglesey and locked ourselves away for the writing session with Ciara and it was one of the most inspiring few days we’ve had as a band.
“During the writing process, we were listening to a lot of Bowie, Blondie, and Hall and Oates.”
Other standout tracks on the album include ‘Big Star’ and ‘Mothers’, with Tom saying about how they were also inspired by true stories: “The album tracks themselves are based on different stories, mostly from personal experience.
“On ‘Big Star’ after seeing a well-known music journalist in the Chateau Marmont, I debate going over and introducing myself but then shyness gets the better of me and I don’t.
“‘I Like Your Look’ is a tipping of the hat to Blondie’s ‘Rapture’ and a wink to Joan Baez ‘Time Rag’, and lyrically it explores a tongue-in-cheek approach to high fashion.
“‘Mothers’ is an ode to my and (bandmate) Joe (Donovan)’s friendship and it references the fact that our mothers were friends back in the ’80s.”
Blossoms are supporting Tom Grennan, 28, at Gunnersbury Park on 10 August and are set to play festivals including Isle of Wight and TRSNMT, before the band’s biggest headline gig to date at Wythenshawe Park, Manchester on Sunday 25 August.
Since forming in 2013, Blossoms have enjoyed widespread success and acclaim.
Their 2016 debut Blossoms topped the album charts for two consecutive weeks and went on to earn the band BRIT Award and Mercury Prize nominations, while 2018’s ‘Cool Like You’ charted at No4 in the UK album chart.

Cyndi Lauper will embark on her farewell tour later this year

OHMYGOSSIP — Cyndi Lauper has announced her farewell tour for later this year.
The 70-year-old pop icon has unveiled plans for her first major tour in a decade as visits 23 cities across North America in October and December, starting in Montreal and coming to a close in Chicago.
The run of shows has been billed as ‘The Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour’, taking its name from her legendary 1983 hit single.
Cyndi will reveal opening acts for the tour at a later date.
On Tuesday (04.06.24), she is releasing new documentary ‘Let The Canary Sing’, which has been directed by Alison Ellwood and will launch on US TV via Paramount+.
The career-spanning film will premiere the same day Cyndi is expected at a handprint ceremony at Hollywood’s TCL Chinese Theatre.
She’s also set to appear on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ on Wednesday (05.06.24) evening.
News of her last tour comes after she signed a deal with Swedish virtual avatar company Pophouse Entertainment Group, which is behind the ‘Abba Voyage’ arena show.
The firm – which was founded by Abba singer Bjorn Ulvaeus – now owns the majority share of Cyndi’s master recording revenue and publishing.
Now, the company will pursue “creative activations” of her catalogue, including tracks like ‘True Colours’ and ‘Time After TIme’, with live shows, TV plans and other projects.
Announcing the deal earlier this year, the pop star said: “Since we first met, Pophouse has impressed me with their commitment to maintaining and developing my professional life’s work and ensuring its legacy.
“Their creativity and vision, combined with my continued involvement via our unique joint venture, is what is most exciting to me.
“I can’t wait to participate in this new stage in my musical evolution and I could not be more pleased to know my music will now be in Pophouse’s safe hands as they build upon my legacy in the years to come.”
And in a video discussing the deal, she told Bjorn she was inspired by the work Abba have done.
She added: “When I saw the Abba Voyage, I started to think about what could be done, and then I got excited. I’m not selling, I’m buying.”

Billy Corgan defends Taylor Swift over lengthy album release

OHMYGOSSIP — Billy Corgan has defended Taylor Swift against criticism over the length of ‘The Tortured Poets Department’.
The Smashing Pumpkins frontman – whose own latest release ‘ATUM’ was released in three parts with a total of 33 songs – hailed the ‘Karma’ hitmaker as “one of the most gifted pop artists of all time” and admitted he doesn’t understand why some people were not happy that her latest record is a 31-track double album.
He told the Irish Times newspaper: “Taylor Swift is one of the most gifted pop artists of all time. How is it a bad thing that she’s releasing more music? I can’t follow that… You can go on Spotify and just skip it.”
The ‘Today’ hitmaker believes the way music is released now means it is perfectly possible for fans to create their own “playlist” of songs they enjoy from one lengthy album and so they should just stop complaining.
He added: “People complained about the length of my last album, ‘ATUM’. I thought, ‘Well, just go make your own playlist.’ Just listen to the record one time – rag over the six or 10 songs you like and make your own record.
“Why is this such a strange concept? Have some sense of proportionality.
“This hyperbolic thing – ‘They ruined ‘Star Wars’. My God, this is all too much for me to process’ – it’s all a bit childish.”
The 57-year-old singer also drew reference to the late Sinead O’Connor, insisting it wouldn’t be a “bad thing” for all of her previously-unreleased music to come out as one package.
He said: “Now that Sinéad’s gone, would it be a bad thing if somebody turned up tomorrow and said, ‘Hey, I just found this tape, and there’s enough for 20 – or 30 or 50 – Sinéad songs.’ Would that be a bad thing?”

Liam Gallagher claims Noel is ‘playing hard to get’ over Oasis reunion

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher has claimed Noel Gallagher is “still playing hard to get”.
The former Oasis rocker, 51, is currently on the road to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the group’s 1994 classic debut ‘Definitely Maybe’, and he referenced the desire from fans to see the Britpop legends back together.
Before playing B-side ‘Half The World Away’ – which was originally sung by his 57-year-old brother Noel – during Monday’s (03.06.24) show in Cardiff, he dedicated the track to his sibling rival.
He quipped: “So I’m gonna dedicate this next tune to my little brother, who’s still playing hard to get.
“But that’s alright. Word on the street is he was spotted in a really posh chocolate shop – one of them Thorntons – buying some chocolates.
“So you never know! D’you know what I mean?”
Liam kicked his set off with ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Star’, and treated fans to renditions of the likes of ‘Whatever’, ‘Cigarettes and Alcohol’, ‘Up In The Sky’ and more.
After bringing the main set to a close with a solo rendition of ‘Married With Children’, he returned to the stage to play ‘Supersonic’, ‘Slide Away’ and ‘Live Forever’, before closing the night with Oasis’ cover of The Beatles classic ‘I Am The Walrus’.
Earlier this year, the ‘Wonderwall’ singer joked that Noel should “send him a box of chocolates” to apologise for the Oasis split in 2009.
Speaking to the Sunday Times newspaper, he teased: “I can see him looking back, not looking back in anger, and going, ‘Do you know what? I was really mean to my little brother. Now it is time for me to send him a box of chocolates.’ ”
Last year, Liam claimed he had approached Noel about being involved in his ‘Definitely Maybe’ anniversary tour across the UK and Ireland.
He wrote on X, formerly Twitter, back in October: “He’s been asked and he’s refused.”
Oasis are also releasing the reissue ‘Definitely Maybe (30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition)’.
Set for release on August 30 – the date the landmark LP dropped in 1994 – the new formats boast tracks from abandoned from the original recording session at Monnow Valley Studios, as well as outtakes recorded at Sawmills Studios in Cornwall, newly mixed for the first time by Noel with Callum Marinho.

Shania Twain wants to change iconic lyrics at Glastonbury in tribute to Harry Styles

OHMYGOSSIP — Shania Twain wants to pay tribute to Harry Styles at Glastonbury Festival.
The ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’ hitmaker will play the famous Legends slot at the iconic festival later this month, and she plans to change the “so you think you’re Brad Pitt” lyrics from her beloved track in a nod to the ‘As It Was’ singer.
Appearing on BBC’s ‘Sidetracked’ podcast, she said: “I sort of see Brad Pitt as a James Dean of his generation and I see Harry Styles as that as well, of his generation.
“He’s rugged but pretty. There’s a charm that he has and he sings good, too.
“‘Hey so you think you’re Harry Styles?’ Who do you you think you are? I should do that.”
The 58-year-old country pop legend has other big plans in the pipeline for her Glastonbury moment, although there could be some logistical issues.
She pondered: “I’m considering riding a horse to the stage. I can’t imagine I’d be allowed to ride a horse on stage.
“But then I have to plan my footwear. I have to be somewhat practical.”
Shania also recalled almost duetting with late ‘Purple Rain’ icon Prince, who would be her dream duet at Worthy Farm.
She revealed “He called me once to ask if we could work together. We had a great conversation on the phone.
“I would’ve done anything to work with him except the sense of feeling that I couldn’t be myself in a working environment with him because he didn’t allow swearing.”
Meanwhile, Shania has been full of praise for Harry Styles over the years and the pair have remained good friends, even sharing the stage together at Coachella in 2022.
She recently told E! News: “I do check in with him. It’s always really lovely – we stay in touch by text.
“He’s young, but he’s been doing it since he was a teenager, a kid basically. I really care and follow how he’s doing.
“I know how hard this career is and can be on younger people, but he seems to be managing it so beautifully and I just love staying in touch and hearing that he’s doing great.”

Eminem to drop new single Houdini this week

OHMYGOSSIP — Eminem will release his new single, ‘Houdini’, on Friday (31.05.24).
The rap superstar has been teasing his return and the death of The Real Slim Shady, his stage name, and now he’s seemingly revealed the first track from his new album is days away.
Eminem FaceTimed magician David Blaine in his latest preview clip and asked for his “help with something.”
He said: “I was wondering, how far can we go with this magic? Like, can we do like a stunt or something?”
He continued: “Well for my last trick, I’m going to make my career disappear.”
The 51-year-old star recently took to Instagram to share a video of a text message conversation dated Friday May 31, 12am.
The message was addressed to “all contacts”, and read: “…and for my last trick!”
It’s also thought Eminem’s “last trick” message is yet another nod to the upcoming album being the last for his alter ego.
Last month, the rap icon revealed his forthcoming record is titled ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)’, and will drop in the summer.
Eminem shared the news as he appeared at the 2024 NFL Draft in his home city of Detroit, Michigan, on April 25th.
Shady appeared with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell as they kicked off the Annual Player Selection Meeting.
A trailer circulated of a fake reporter announcing the death of Eminem’s alter ego Slim Shady.
They said: “Through his complex and often-criticised, tongue-twisting rhymes, the blonde anti-hero known as Slim Shady has had no shortage of enemies.”
His rap peer, 50 Cent, said: “He’s not a friend, he’s a psychopath.”
The reporter continued: “The same rude lyrics and controversial antics may have ultimately led to his demise. Join me as we recreate the events that led to the murder of Slim Shady.”
Eminem – whose last album was 2020’s ‘Music to Be Murdered By’ – shared the clip on Instagram along with the album’s title and summer 2024 release window.
In March, Dr. Dre confirmed he has songs on Eminem’s upcoming album.
Speaking on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’, he said: “Let me explain something to you right now.
“Eminem is working on his own album which is coming out this year and I actually talked to him and he said it was OK for me to make that announcement right here on this show.
“I’ve got songs on it and it’s fire. I’m actually going to hear the entire album for the first time tomorrow.
“He holds his music close to his chest, so I haven’t heard everything. I haven’t even heard everything complete that I’ve done, but I’m gonna hear it, and he’s putting out an album this year.”
