OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Jonas’ DNCE are reuniting without bassist Cole Whittle.
The Jonas Brothers star has confirmed the ‘Cake By The Ocean’ group – also comprising JinJoo Lee and Jack Lawless – are set to release new music as a trio.
He told Rolling Stone magazine: “While I was in the Jonas Brothers again, I put a pause on all things DNCE, with the support of my fellow bandmates.
“So it became this thing where we all went and did our own thing and started to look at what else we wanted to do. Cole’s been making really amazing music that’s right up his alley, and I’m really supportive of him.”
DNCE have announced their first new music since 2018, a track with KYGO called ‘Dancing Feet’.
Joe said of the upbeat nature of the track: “It’s really happy. It’s that feeling of not really giving a f*** and enjoying life to the fullest.
“I think what DNCE always did so well was bring joy to people, which is what I wanted to do with this new batch of music.
“Obviously it’s still very tricky times, but it reminds us all of being able to go out there and dance and enjoy life.”
The pop band teased their return by changing their logo on social media and their bio to read: “We’re back to make you move.”
What’s more, the 32-year-old singer teased a snippet of their comeback song on TikTok at the weekend.
As for the future of Jonas Brothers, the band recently denied they are splitting up again and teased new music is in the pipeline.
The ‘Sucker’ hitmakers quashed a report that suggested their reunion was “effectively over”, and told fans on Twitter that they have some “exciting stuff” coming up “together and apart”.
Marking the second anniversary to the day the trio – completed by siblings Kevin and Nick Jonas – announced their comeback (24.02.21), they wrote: “That day and every day that followed has meant everything to us. Playing music together, getting back on the road, seeing all of your faces in the crowd, hearing your stories… Our 2019 (and even some of 2020!) was so special and it’s all because of how amazing you guys are … We have the best fans in the world and we love you so much! We all have a ton of exciting stuff coming and we can’t wait for you guys to hear all about it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Country group Lady A and the singer Lady A have settled their lawsuit out of court.
Both the ‘Need You Now’ group – comprising Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood – and solo artist Anita White filed a motion in a Nashville federal court on January 31 “to dismiss the litigation” surrounding their shared moniker.
As reported by Billboard, the “terms of the agreement, including who can continue to use what name or if any money changed hands, were not made public.”
Back in 2020, the band formerly known as Lady Antebellum announced they were changing their name to that of the blues singer in response to the Black Lives Matter movement, as the word Antebellum has associations to slavery in the US, and they later launched legal action against the solo artist over their shared moniker, asking for a declaration that they aren’t infringing on a trademark in using the name.
They claimed White “demanded a $10m payment” from them, and White claimed the action was taken to make her “look bad”, even though she planned to donate half the sum to charity and use the rest to rebrand herself.
She filed a countersuit against the band for “lost sales, diminished brand identity, and diminution in the value of and goodwill associated with the mark.”
White had spoken to frontwoman Hillary about the group’s proposed name change and warned her there would still be racist connotations but claimed the singer had no response.
And the singer wanted the group to change their name completely, which would prove they are true “allies”.
The group previously admitted they were “so naive” to have been known as Lady Antebellum for so long.
Charles admitted they had a “blind spot” for a long time about how offensive their moniker could have been to people.
He said: “I think the word to me that resonates the most this year has been ‘blind spot.’ And I think I am so guilty of…I didn’t think about it.
“You know, we came up with the name thinking about the antebellum home…I don’t know. It’s so naive now looking back, but I think, as we’ve grown up, we all have kids now.
“I mean, why now? Well, we’re a lot older, we look at the world a lot different. We’re trying to leave the world a little bit better, too, for our kids and the next generation. And we want to be a part of change.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Avril Lavigne has pushed back her UK and European tour to 2023.
The ‘Bite Me’ star was originally set to play the shows in 2020 and postponed the run to 2021, before moving them again to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Unfortunately for fans, they have a longer wait on their hands, as the 37-year-old pop-punk icon has been forced to reschedule the run for the third time due to “travel and venue restrictions from country to country” making it “impossible” to go ahead as planned.
In a lengthy statement, the ‘Nobody’s Home’ singer wrote: “To my fans in Europe and the U.K., I have some unfortunate news to share with you all about my U.K. and European dates. I have to make the difficult decision to postpone this tour until 2023. Due to the ongoing issues surrounding the pandemic, there are a series of travel and venue restrictions from country to country that have made the tour not possible to happen.”
Avril concluded “It’s not an easy decision, but it’s one that will help ensure that we are able to play every single date of the tour, put on the best show possible at full capacity, and operate in a safe environment. It really breaks my heart to have to do this, but I know it will be worth the wait.”
The European leg will now commence in Paris on April 12, 2023
The new UK dates will kick off in Manchester on May 6, with three nights at London’s on May 7, 9 and 10, 2023.
Avril releases her eagerly-awaited seventh studio album, ‘Love Sux’, on February 25 via Travis Barker’s DTA Records.

OHMYGOSSIP — PinkPantheress will perform a virtual concert in Roblox for the BRIT Awards with Mastercard 2022.
The ‘Just For Me’ hitmaker jumped at the chance to combine her love of music and gaming for the special set as an avatar.
The 21-year-old star said: “I’m so glad I got to do a performance for the Roblox and BRITs families.
“As someone that loves video games and escaping into my own virtual world, I’m hoping I took everyone on an experience.”
The BRITs also announced the first-ever VIP Party, kicking off tonight (08.02.22) and running until February 14.
It will include virtual meet-and-greets with nominated artists and winners.
The night after the main ceremony – which airs on ITV and YouTube live from London’s The O2 arena – highlights will be shown on Roblox and on February 11 at 5pm GMT (9am PT), the PinkPantheress concert will premiere.
Luke Ferrar, Innovation Director, Polydor Records and Co-Chair of the BRITs Digital Committee, commented: “When planning the BRITs 2022 digital campaign we knew we wanted to enter the metaverse with Roblox.

The show will be exclusively broadcast on ITV and ITV Hub and hosted by Mo Gilligan.

OHMYGOSSIP — Janet Jackson gets “embarrassed” when she hears her music on the radio.
The ‘Rhythm Nation’ hitmaker has confessed she is left red-faced whenever she is in a public place and her songs are played.
Speaking to Zoe Ball on BBC Radio 2 on Tuesday morning (08.02.22), she said: “No. I get embarrassed. I don’t know why, that’s just me, I’ve always gotten embarrassed and I still do when it comes on in a club or when you’re in a store and suddenly you hear your music I just get embarrassed.”
Janet also once again hinted at releasing ‘Love I Love’ as a single after a preview appeared during the rolling credits of the music legend’s eponymous-titled Lifetime and A&E documentary.
She told the broadcaster: “The funny thing about that, that song I recorded it three years ago and watching the documentary… I thought, oh it would be so great to put this song in just as music for the documentary … that was it, and people have taken to this song so much that now at this point we’re thinking, OK well maybe we should make it a single and maybe it would be the thing to do, so we’ll see what happens.”
During a recent appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’, Janet insisted “we’ll just have to see” when it comes to releasing new material.
Janet had announced her 12th studio album called ‘Black Diamond’ in 2020, which would have marked her first LP since 2015’s ‘Unbreakable’.
At the time, the ‘Scream’ singer explained that ‘Black Diamond’ is a reference to the inner “strength” she has following her split from ex-husband Wissam Al Mana, with whom she shares five-year-old son Eissa.
She said: “Black Diamonds are the toughest of all the diamonds, the hardest to cut. I see that as the hardest to hurt or destroy. There is a lot that I have endured. I see myself as a Black Diamond in its purest form. I’m a rock, I have ruff edges but I keep moving forward. I want to show you my strength as well as give you strength.
“I love u guys so much and I’m #SoExcited to share this new era with you. See u soon! #BlackDiamond (sic)”
However, there’s been no more news regarding the release.
The star was also set to embark on the ‘Black Diamond World Tour’ in 2020 before it was cancelled, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.

OHMYGOSSIP — Adele triumphed at the BRIT Awards 2022 with Mastercard, taking home three major awards in total.
The 33-year-old was nominated alongside the likes of Ed Sheeran in the first year that the awards category had been made gender neutral and admitted she “wasn’t expecting [it] at all”, having already won Song of the Year for ‘Easy On Me’ and going on to win Album of the Year for ’30.’
She said: “I really wasn’t expecting this one at all. I want to say a massive congratulations to [Best Newcomer] Little Simz. Dave, Ed [Sheeran] Sam[Fender] I’m so proud to be in your company. I love being an artist. I can’t believe its my job. England, the UK, we have so many incredible young artists coming up.
The ‘Easy On Me’ hitmaker – who had performed her winning song as a comeback performance earlier in the night – then went on to acknowledge the BRIT Award’s decision to neutralise the gender categories, claiming that while she “understands” why the change was made, she still “loves” being a woman.
She continued: “I understand why this has changed, but I really love being a woman and a female artist. I’m really proud of us.”
Other big winners of the night include ‘Bad Habits’ hitmaker Ed Sheeran who – after the opening the show with a performance of the pop hit – took home the gong for Songwriter of the Year and Dua Lipa who was named Best Pop/R&B Act, after previously taking home two accolades in last year’s ceremony.
The ‘Levitating’ hitmaker is performing in Los Angeles so couldn’t accept the award in person, but sent in a video message thanking her fans.
She said: “Thank you so much. I can’t believe I won Best Pop at the BRITs. It’s an amazing feeling and I’m sorry I can’t be there but I’m about to open in Los Angeles. Love to you all.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift are releasing a new song together this week.
The ‘Bad Habits’ hitmaker has confirmed the two friends – who have previously collaborated on the likes of ‘Everything Has Changed’ on ‘Red’, ‘End Game’ on ‘Reputation’, and ‘Run’ on ‘Red (Taylor’s Version)’ – are set to drop a new track on Friday (11.02.22)
Appearing on the BRIT Awards red carpet on Tuesday (08.02.22), he told LADbible: “It comes out Friday and it’s with Taylor Swift!”
He didn’t offer any more details, but fans have been speculating that it could be a remix of Ed’s track ‘The Joker and the Queen’, which appears on his album ‘=’.
Eagle eyed fans have pointed to apparent clues like the Taylor Swift patch on his jacket in the ‘Overpass Graffiti’ video, as well as the equals sign carved into her cake in the ‘I Bet You Think About Me’ video.
Meanwhile, the 30-year-old singer previously let slip that he and Camila Cabello – whom he worked with on ‘South of the Border’ for 2019’s ‘No.6 Collaborations Project’ – have a new track coming this year.
When asked if the 24-year-old star features on ‘The Joker and the Queen’, he said back in December: “No, but actually we have done a song together that is going to come out next year.”
Meanwhile, Ed treated BRIT Awards viewers to an exciting collaboration at the glitzy event as he took to the stage with Bring Me The Horizon for a heavy rendition of ‘Bad Habits’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kirk Hammett has announced his debut solo EP, ‘Portals’.
The Metallica guitarist has unveiled his upcoming cinematic collection, which saw him co-write with renowned conductor Edwin Outwater.
He said in a statement: “This music was created with what I describe as an Audio-Cinematic approach. They’re soundtracks to the movies in your mind.”
A press release states that the EP is “a collection of gateways to myriad musical and psychic destinations. Recorded in multiple locales ranging from Los Angeles to Paris to Oahu, ‘Portals’ is both the result of musical and metaphysical journeys. An invitation to inner worlds accessible only by music and the psyche it fuels.”
Kirk, 59, also produced the four-tracker – comprising the instrumentals ‘Maiden And The Monster’, ‘The Jinn’, ‘High Plains Drifter’ and ‘The Incantation’ – while Edwin contributed keyboards and leads the orchestral players.
Kirk previously worked with the LA Philharmonic on the heavy metal titans’ ‘S&M2’ concerts and releases.
Emmy-winning arranger Blake Neely and Metallica’s long-time producer Bob Rock were also involved.
‘Portals’ is set for release on April 23 digitally, on CD, and as a Record Store Day Exclusive Ocean Blue Vinyl EP.
As for new Metallica music, Lars Ulrich insisted in October that while it’s in the works, they had “nothing cohesive” yet.
The heavy metal behemoths – also including James Hetfield and Robert Trujillo – re-released their landmark self-titled album (‘The Black Album’) to mark its 30th anniversary, and dropped the star-studded ‘The Metallica Blacklist’ covers compilation in September.
And though fans can expect some new music at some point, the material they had worked on for a new album wasn’t ready to become one package at the time.
The 58-year-old drummer said: “There’s nothing cohesive. There’s not a story. There’s not really anything to back it up yet.”
The sticksman had previously insisted the heavy metal group – who formed in 1981 – have no plans to stop making music because they love the “creative process” and always strive to make each new album better than the last.
Asked if they’d thought about their plans for their follow-up to 2016’s ‘Hardwired… To Self Destruct’ yet, he said: “It’s going to be the best album we’ve ever done! Insert the rest of the clichés – it’s the heaviest thing, the coolest…
“But all kidding aside, if it wasn’t because we thought that the best record was still ahead of us, then why keep doing it? In Metallica we love the creative process, and it’s hard for me to imagine that we’ll ever stop making records.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Heart’s Ann Wilson has shared the new single, ‘Greed’, taken from her upcoming solo LP ‘Fierce Bliss’.
The 71-year-old rock legend – who shot to fame as the lead singer of the ‘Barracuda’ group alongside her younger sister, Nancy Wilson, 67, in the mid-70s – is back with the feisty new anthem, which she wrote out of anger.
Speaking of the track, she said: “‘Greed’ is that thing in our animal nature that makes us want MORE.
“Whether it be money, sex, power or ecstasy, it fires our craving! It happens with all of us. When you turn around and catch yourself making decisions because you want the money, or because you’re caught in the headlights of glory, well, those are greedy moments.”
Ann added: “I think people who claim to have made every decision from a root of pure idealism, and never done anything dark or greedy, is lying. I think everybody who ventures into especially the music industry hoping for a career with big success, ends up making these Faustian bargains at some point even if only briefly. It’s an aggressive song and I think I write best when I’m angry.”
Along with new songs, the musician has recorded a cover of Queen classic ‘Love of My Life’ featuring country star Vince Gill, and Jeff Buckley’s ‘Forget Her’. Gov’t Mule’s Warren Hayes also contributed.
On how the LP came about, Ann explained: “I had originally intended to go in, record a few songs and see what I had, but it just took on this life.
“I’d known Warren Haynes from Gov’t Mule for a while. We’d written a couple songs together with Gov’t Mule playing, and those rounded out the record. So all of a sudden, where there was no record before, suddenly I had 11 cool songs that I really liked.”
Reflecting on still making music in her 70s, Ann added: “I think that for someone who’s been through as much as I have, and has lived to tell the tales, it’s OK to share my experiences.
“I’ve heard from a lot of younger musicians and listeners, too, who have thanked me for staying around and for just keeping upright, just making it through, making the concessions once but not twice, and being able to live through it all with dignity.”
Ann’s last album was 2018’s ‘Immortal’, a covers record paying tribute to her influences.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will hit the road for the ‘An Evening with Ann Wilson of Heart and The Amazing Dawg’s’ tour of the US later this month, with the run kicking off on February 19 at Family Gras in Metairie, Los Angeles.
‘Fierce Bliss’ is released on April 29.

OHMYGOSSIP — Anne-Marie finds it hilarious that a Twitter page for her ankle has been created following her fall at the BRIT Awards.
The ‘Problem’ singer was performing ‘Don’t Play’ with KSI and Digital Farm Animals at Tuesday night’s (08.02.22) ceremony at London’s The O2 when she lost her footing and tripped over, but the pop star wowed viewers as she picked herself up and carried on singing despite taking a tumble.
However, she saw the funny side and tweeted: “Didn’t need my left ankle anyway.”
Soon after the incident, the account with the Twitter handle @Annemariesankle started poking fun at the 30-year-old singer.
One tweet read: “Wow. Bit shaken up but I’m ok. Bit bruised but with a bit of ice should be fine xxx.”
And the ‘Ciao Aidos’ hitmaker re-tweeted the post and wrote: “I AM DEAD.”
Her fall in front of the nation also saw opticians Specsavers get in on the action and offer Anne-Marie a free eyesight check.
They wrote: “Your next visit’s on us x.”
And she jokingly replied: “I’ll be in touch.”
Anne-Marie’s BRITs fall comes after Madonna was famously pulled backward off stage by a cape at the 2015 ceremony.
In 2017, meanwhile, Katy Perry performed ‘Chained to the Rhythm’ with dancers dressed as houses and one took a nasty fall off the stage.
The BRIT Awards 2022 with Mastercard was full of unexpected moments.

OHMYGOSSIP — Iggy Pop is the joint recipient of the 2022 Polar Music Prize.
The 74-year-old Grammy-winning punk legend and the French chamber orchestra Ensemble intercontemporain are set to receive one million Swedish Kroner (£83,060/ $110,602) as part of the honour.
The prestigious prizes will be handed out on May 24 at Stockholm’s Grand Hotel.
The ‘Lust For Life’ hitmaker – who is often dubbed ‘The Godfather of Punk’ – said: “I was aware of the very fine range of people that had gotten the Polar Music Prize… so it’s a nice step for me. I respect it and I’m honoured by it … I’m looking forward to coming to Stockholm in May to receive the Prize.”
Matthias Pintscher, musical director of Ensemble intercontemporain, commented: “I’m beyond excited to be coming to Stockholm in May to receive the Polar Music Prize in honour of the Ensemble intercontemporain.”
Marie Ledin, managing director of the Polar Music Prize, added: “We are delighted to return in 2022, after a two-year absence due to the pandemic, with two incredibly worthy Laureates. Iggy Pop is unique, there is no one else quite like him. Ensemble intercontemporain are a ground-breaking collective and their work has helped push the boundaries of modern classical music. We’re thrilled that we can come together to honour and celebrate the important work of both of these Laureates.”
Previous recipients of the Polar Music Prize, include Sir Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Sting and Joni Mitchell.
The Swedish award – which is known as the Nobel Prize of Music – was founded in 1989 by Stig Anderson, best known as the manager of Swedish pop icons ABBA.
Beatles legend McCartney, 79, received the first award in 1992.
The prize is given to a contemporary musician and one classical musician.

OHMYGOSSIP — Aitch is desperate for Liam Gallagher to feature on his album.
The ‘Rain’ rapper had already offered fellow Mancunian Liam £7 million to record a spoken-word piece for him.
He tweeted in December: “I will pay £7 Million for you to be on my album @liamgallagher.”
And he was hoping to bump into the former Oasis frontman at Tuesday night’s BRIT Awards 2022 with Mastercard (08.02.22) in London, where he admitted he would offer him “anything” he wants as he pleaded for Liam to work with him.
Speaking to red carpet co-hosts Munya Chawawa and Nella Rose in a clip shared on the official BRITs YouTube channel, Aitch said: “I’m searching for him.”
Munya then said: “Imagine I am Liam, what are you going to say?”
To which the 22-year-old star replied: “Please do it, mate. I know you’ve seen the tweet, you can have anything you want. My watch, my trainers, anything.”
The ‘Wonderwall’ star has yet to respond to the offer on the micro-blogging site.
However, the comment saw Aitch receive some hate from one follower who offered to pay him £6 to quit music.
Aitch – whose real name is Harrison Armstrong – quipped back: “I’ll send you my bank details now.”
The star has made no secret of his dream to collaborate with the 49-year-old ‘Everything’s Electric’ singer.
He said previously: “I wanna do a song with Liam, man.”
And he’d settle for just a clip of the ‘Wall of Glass’ hitmaker delivering a one-liner.
When asked if his team has approached Liam, he said in the 2020 interview: “I don’t think so. We will have to do something. Even if it’s just a skit for my album, just him saying something, I just need something.”
The BRITs-nominated artist has already appeared on hits with the likes of Stormzy, Ed Sheeran and AJ Tracey.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Fender had Greggs sausage rolls on his party bus waiting for him after the BRIT Awards.
The 27-year-old singer-songwriter took home the Best Rock/Alternative Act prize, three years after he was honoured with the Critics’ Choice Award, and he also took to the stage at London’s The O2 arena on Tuesday night (08.02.22) to perform his hugely popular hit ‘Seventeen Going Under’.
And the ‘Poundshop Kardashians’ star revealed on the red carpet that the bakery chain provided him with a stack load of the savoury snacks to help soak up the booze.
Speaking to red carpet co-hosts Munya Chawawa and Nella Rose in a clip shared on the official BRITs YouTube channel, Sam spilled: “We’ve got a bus full of sausage rolls outside, actually.”
Sam previously revealed he was given a VIP gold card from Greggs, which means he can get a load of tasty treats for free.
Ahead of the ceremony, the North Shields star – whose latest gong will join his other BRITs statuette at his local boozer, The Low Lights Tavern in North Tyneside, where he was discovered – admitted he would be partying hard to celebrate if he won.
He told the Daily Star: “If you don’t win, you have a party anyway and then if you do win, you have an even bigger party.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack Antonoff has compared Damon Albarn to Donald Trump after his spat with Taylor Swift.
The Blur and Gorillaz rocker incurred the wrath of the ‘Lover’ hitmaker by downplaying her songwriting ability in a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, and she called him out on his “damaging” remarks.
Many stars have voiced their support for Taylor, including her collaborator, Bleachers star Jack, who has lashed out at the 53-year-old musician for taking the “Trumpian approach” of “making things up”.
Speaking on ‘The What’ podcast, he said: “Obviously, it’s completely absurd and everyone knows that.
“You’re talking about one of the greatest songwriters of our generation who has her name as the only name on many songs. You don’t need me to explain it – it’s fact.”
Jack continued: “I don’t like it when artists take almost this Trumpian approach of just making things up.
“I don’t care if Damon Albarn or anyone likes or doesn’t like something, but to unequivocally make a statement that isn’t true … not to get to deep on it, but isn’t that kind of everything that’s wrong with our world at the moment? People talking about s*** that they have no clue about?”
The former President of the United States, 75, was regularly called out for making false and misleading claims during his time in power.
Jack, 37, didn’t stop there, as he went on to compare Damon to his outspoken Britpop rival Liam Gallagher, 49, who had tweeted that he was loving the pair’s feud.
He said: “You wanna go full Liam Gallagher and be like, ‘This person sucks, that person sucks’? Whatever, do you.
“But to launch this weird, baseless [claim] with this bravado that it’s fact … maybe before you say that, you should shut the f*** up.”
The row ensued after the outlet promoted the interview in a tweet that read: “Albarn also spills his thoughts on some of today’s chart-topping music artists.
“Billie Eilish? “I think she’s exceptional.
“Taylor Swift? She doesn’t write her own songs.”
The 32-year-old pop star retweeted the post and fumed: “I was such a big fan of yours until I saw this. I write ALL of my own songs. Your hot take is completely false and SO damaging. You don’t have to like my songs but it’s really f***** up to try and discredit my writing. WOW.
“PS I wrote this tweet all by myself in case you were wondering.”
Damon – who has received death threats from Taylor’s fans – suggested his remarks had been sensationalised to attract readers and apologised “unreservedly and unconditionally”.
In the interview, the ‘Parklife’ singer insisted he wasn’t “hating” on Taylor but suggested collaborating with other songwriters was “very different” to taking sole responsibility for her work.
He said: “She doesn’t write her own songs. Co-writing is very different to writing. I’m not hating on anybody, I’m just saying there’s a big difference between a songwriter and a songwriter who co-writes.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Snoop Dogg is now the new owner of Death Row Records.
The hip-hop legend shot to fame after appearing on Dr. Dre’s acclaimed 1992 ‘The Chronic’, released on the legendary record label, and was signed himself and went on to put out his debut album, ‘Doggystyle’, a year later.
Snoop – whose real name is Calvin Broadus Jr – acquired the company from MNRK Music Group for an undisclosed sum.
The 50-year-old rap megastar said: “I am thrilled and appreciative of the opportunity to acquire the iconic and culturally significant Death Row Records brand, which has immense untapped future value.
“It feels good to have ownership of the label I was part of at the beginning of my career and as one of the founding members. This is an extremely meaningful moment for me.”
Death Row – which was also the home of the likes of the late Tupac Shakur and Nate Dogg – filed for bankruptcy in 2006 and was sold in 2012, after founder Suge Knight faced serious financial and legal issues.
The 56-year-old former music executive is currently serving a 28-year prison sentence for a fatal 2015 hit-and-run.
Snoop had previously expressed his desire to own Death Row when he was made executive creative and strategic consultant in 2021.
He said in November: “I think all of Death Row should be in my hands.
“I should be running that s***. Just like I’m [in] a position at Def Jam, Death Row means more to me because I helped create that.”
This weekend, Snoop will reunite with Dre for their 2022 Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show performance.
The pair will be joined by Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar at the NFL showpiece on February 13, 2022 at the ​SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Los Angeles.
It’s the first time in the history of the halftime performance slot that five music stars will perform together.
Dre, 56, was instrumental in launching the career of Eminem, 49, having signed the ‘Lose Yourself’ rapper in 1998.
The studio wizard and music mogul has also overseen and produced tracks for 34-year-old Kendrick.

OHMYGOSSIP — FKA twigs will receive the NME’s Godlike Genius Award next month.
The 34-year-old star is set to become the first ever Black female and youngest solo artist to ever receive the coveted prize as she follows in the footsteps of previous winners like Primal Scream, Blondie, Massive Attack and Liam Gallagher.
She said in a statement: “What an absolute honour to have won the NME Godlike Genius Award.
“To see my name amongst the iconic likes of The Clash, The Cure and Blondie is unreal! I am so proud to be the first Black female artist to have been honoured, still baby faced, and inspired as hell…
“Here’s to the next decade of making art and music. Thank you to the heavens and back to everyone who has helped me make my dreams come true.”
NME confirmed the news ahead of the ceremony at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on March 2.
They noted FKA twigs is being honoured for her “outstanding contributions to music”.
The event will be hosted by grime star Lady Leshurr and comedian Daisy May Cooper, with Bring Me The Horizon playing the closing set of the night.
Frontman Oli Sykes – who famously smashed through Coldplay’s table during their performance at the awards in 2016 – admitted the band are “surprised” to have been asked to return.
He quipped: “To be honest we’re surprised we’ve even been asked back at all! What a huge honour it is to be asked to close the prestigious NME Awards show, we’re literally buzzing.”
Other performers set for the show include Sam Fender, Griff and Chyrces featuring special guest Robert Smith of The Cure.
Meanwhile, Halsey will be recognition with the Innovation Award, and Bleachers star Jack Antonoff will collect the Songwriter Award.
