Nikki Glaser praises Taylor Swift

OHMYGOSSIP — Nikki Glaser has praised Taylor Swift for axing her Vienna concerts.
Taylor’s three Austrian gigs were cancelled after authorities uncovered a planned terror attack at the Ernst Happel Stadium and comedian Nikki – who had tickets to see Taylor in Vienna – believes calling off the concerts was the right decision.
She told Variety: “I did not even think about my safety even once. I was just like ‘I don’t get to see Taylor!’ It was such a selfish thought. I’m obviously so glad everyone is safe and she made the right call.
“I was just despondent. I follow Taylor on tour as much as I follow myself on tour,” . Any time I’m not touring, I find where she is and I go, I’m kind of addicted to it. So I was devastated.
“I’ll be just sightseeing around town on some double-decker bus with my ‘Tortured Poets’ clock choker with my bustier and my skirt. I gotta get some use out of it.”
However, Nikki admitted she has already seen the ‘Eras Tour’ show 17 times so “no one should really feel bad for me”.
Meanwhile, it has been revealed that a suspect in the foiled concert terror plot started working at the venue just days before.
Officials revealed a 17-year-old boy suspected to be behind the plot started working at the arena days before the cancellation.
It’s said he was employed by a facilities company providing services at the stadium during the shows, before he was arrested by special police forces nearby.
A second suspect, aged 19, has also been arrested.
According to Omar Haijawi-Pirchner, head of the Directorate of State Security and Intelligence, the suspect wanted to take his own life and kill “a large crowd at the concert”.

Katy Perry to perform at MTV VMAs?

OHMYGOSSIP — Katy Perry is in talks to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards.
The 39-year-old popstar in reportedly keen to take to the stage at the VMAs on September 10, just 10 days before she releases her latest album ‘143’.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Katy is deep in talks to make her big return to the VMAs stage.
“Details are still being ironed out but she’s a huge star and bosses are determined to lock in the deal.
“The last time Katy performed on the show was in 2019, so it is set to be a huge moment.
“She’s already been travelling the world to promote her new single but next month is set to be even busier for her.
“Katy is one of the world’s biggest pop superstars and this new record and a performance at the VMAs would cement that.”
The MTV VMAs will be staged at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, on September 10.
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift leads the list of nominees for the VMAs, with 10 nominations in total, including eight for ‘Fortnight’, her collaboration with Post Malone.
‘Fortnight’ is in contention for the Video of the Year accolade, which is considered to be the most prestigious of all of the awards.

Dave Rowntree names Blur’s best ever album

OHMYGOSSIP — Dave Rowntree has declared Blur’s latest record ‘The Ballad Of Darren’ is the “best thing” they have “ever done”.
The Britpop group returned to the charts in 2023 with their ninth record – which arrived eight years after their last album ‘The Magic Whip’ in 2015 – and drummer Dave is adamant it’s their finest work to date because it features songs that can be liked after the first listen.
He told Super Deluxe Edition: “I’m so disparaging when other musicians of a certain age say this of their recent work, but I think it’s the best thing we’ve ever done, and by quite a long way.
“But I’m very well aware most middle-aged popstars think their latest album is their best work by far, and that most of them are deluding themselves. I’ll be guided by what other people think.”
Dave added of the album’s appeal: “There are certainly some great immediate songs on it. I heard Tom Robinson talk about being out of the spotlight for a long time and how his main anxiety in making a new record was still being able to write songs that people liked on the first listen.
“One of our selling points is that you can play one of our records and immediately go: ‘Oh, I like that a lot.’ Some bands lose that and they suffer as a result.”
It’s not yet known whether Blur will return again in the future after going on hiatus once again, but Dave recently hinted there may be more to come.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: “There’s still tons of stuff we could do. It’s about finding an offer that’s very hard to say no to.
“When we first got back together in 2009, we were very happy to be the first people to play what has become the British Summer Time festival at Hyde Park. Then we were asked to headline the party to end the 2012 Olympics, and you can’t say no to that.
“So there’s absolutely no reason why we couldn’t consider another interesting idea, if we’re all available. But there’s absolutely nothing in the diary for Blur at the moment.”

Sam Fender debuts two new songs at Plymouth concert

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Fender debuted two new album tracks live at an intimate Devon concert.
The ‘Getting Started’ hitmaker played Plymouth Pavilions in south west England, on Saturday (03.08.24), as a warm-up for his headline set at this weekend’s Boardmasters festival in Cornwall, and he treated gig-goers to the first ever performances of ‘People Watching’ and ‘Nostalgia’s Lie’ from his upcoming third LP.
Following the concert, the 30-year-old star teased that he’s got more live dates coming soon.
He wrote on X :“Wow, that was rapid. More dates coming soon x.”
The singer and guitarist released his second LP, ‘Seventeen Going Under’ in 2021, two years after his debut ‘Hypersonic Missiles’, and didn’t want to “rush” his next record.
Speaking on Sky Arts’ ‘Johnson and Knopfler’s Music Legends’, he said: “We have been recording and recording and making loads of stuff but it got to the point where I thought, ‘We don’t need to get this out yet. We need to get it right’.
“For the second one we rushed to get that out and the third one we started rushing and I thought, ‘No, we have got to take the time’.
“I want to do the best I possibly can. I’d rather it be late and great than early and s****.
“What we have got so far I am absolutely over the moon with but I want to give it that bit more time and more thought.”
The ‘Will We Talk?’ hitmaker credited being bullied at school with giving him his drive to succeed.
He said: “Schoolyard bullying is what makes a rock star. It is either going to put you down or it is going to make you work harder for it.”
Sam previously expressed his frustrations at being compared to Bruce Springsteen but could understand why people did it.
He was quoted by The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column as saying: “I’m not too keen on that tag. I feel I would rather be me. It’s like, ‘hang on, I don’t just rip him off, I have ripped off loads of other people’.
He continued: “You take bits from everything as a musician. I have a saxophone and I am from a working-class town and I speak about working-class life, so it is easy to get stuck in.
“I can see where the crossover comes.”

The 1975’s George Daniel doesn’t want same ‘attention’ as Matty Healy with solo career

OHMYGOSSIP — The 1975’s drummer George Daniel insists it’s not his aim to get “more attention” than frontman Matty Healy with his solo career.
The sticksman and producer – who has contributed to fiancé Charli XCX’s ‘Brat’ run – released his debut solo single, ‘Screen Cleaner’, last week, marking his foray into electronic dance music, and he admits he suffers with “impostor syndrome” and would never want to have the same amount of fame as Matty.
He told The Face: “I have a huge amount of imposter syndrome with this stuff – I think about this every day, like ‘Oh, this is the guy who plays drums and produces this band, they’re successful, now he decides he’s going to do a label because every other video on Instagram is a DJ right now’ – that’s my nightmare.”
George insisted: “The last thing I want people to think is like ‘Oh, George wanted more attention.’ Absolutely not. Matty can have everything!”
The music star explained how the way The 1975 approached their music in the early days was like making dance music.
He said: “The way we made music initially was actually very dance music in its method.
“Not necessarily in what it sounded like – but we didn’t really know what a song structure was, we didn’t know any chords, we were very much making sounds that looped, and the peaks and troughs were from repetition or something dropping out. It wasn’t traditional songwriting, because we literally didn’t know how to do that. At this point, I’m 16, Matty’s 17, we’re really finding our feet – we didn’t know what the band was gonna sound like. So this is a really nice full circle moment.”
And whilst they weren’t regular clubbers in their native Manchester, the band used to drive around in cars with subwoofers in the boot blaring tunes.
George recalled: “I wouldn’t say we were ever regularly hitting the clubs in Manchester, but we all had a hatchback with a sub in the boot, and we were being little naughty boys, playing our silly dance music in our little town.”
Meanwhile, George gushed that he is “so happy and proud” of his partner’s success with ‘Brat’.
On his dance label imprint on Dirty Hit and solo career launching at the same time as the pop star’s viral album, he said: “dh2 started maybe a few months before Charli started thinking about Brat, and these two things happening simultaneously this summer is a big coincidence.
“It’s quite exciting – this is the summer of a lot of changes in my life, which is really cool. It’s not intimidating, because Brat is… why would I compare? That would be the most futile exercise. I’m really happy and proud of her, and proud of my input in [her] record. To be honest, that gave me a bit of confidence.”
On being “George from Brat” after being name-dropped by Charli on the track ‘Club Classics’, he added: “I didn’t anticipate the ‘I want to dance with George-ism’ of everything’ – I didn’t see myself as a protagonist.”
However, he feared he would receive “hate” for it.
George concluded: “[But] it just feels celebratory. Actually, I’m relieved – when I heard my name on Club Classics for the first time, Charli was like, ‘What do you think of this?’ and I was like, ‘People are gonna cringe – are they gonna hate me?’”

“It’s been a long time in the planning, but Mariah is finally coming back to British soil.

The ‘We Belong Together’ hitmaker will finish the tour with two nights in New York – a gig at UBS Arena in Belmont Park on December 15, and a final show at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on December 17.
Meanwhile, Mariah is also busy with her ‘Celebration of Mimi’ Las Vegas residency and is determined to show her fans “a really good time”.
Mariah told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “It’s a really good time.

Mariah loves performing songs from the 2005 album.
The award-winning star also enjoys introducing new fans to the record.

“It’s a moment where you’re hearing your life story be talked about and then you’re singing the songs.”

SZA can’t get enough of Chappell Roan: ‘She makes me wanna keep making music and art forever’

OHMYGOSSIP — SZA has gushed that Chappell Roan makes her want to keep making music “forever”.
The ‘Saturn’ singer, 34, is a huge fan of the 26-year-old viral star and she’s inspiring her to continue her career.
She gushed alongside a clip of her performing at Lollapalooza on her Instagram Story: “She makes me wanna keep making music n art forever (sic).”
Chris Martin, 47, from Coldplay recently shared a video of himself signing albums listening to Chappell’s steamy tune ‘Casual’.
Meanwhile, Chappell recently recalled being starstruck when Miley Cyrus invited her to a party.
Her first concert she ever attended was Miley’s and she could not believe that her 31-year-old idol even knew who she was.
Speaking on Drew Afualo’s ‘The Comment Section’ podcast, she said: “All these things that are happening to me now are just kind of icing on the cake. I never thought I could fly first class. You know what I mean? I never thought I would get access to so much backstage. Miley invited me to a party, and I was like, ‘You don’t know that you were my first concert when the Jonas Brothers were opening for you.’
“I was in fourth grade, and when she came out I saw my friends start crying, and then little girls around us started crying, and I was like, ‘I guess I’ve gotta cry.’ I was like, ‘This is so emotional.’
“I didn’t understand then why people were crying, but now I get it. I’m like, ‘Oh, because that was the coolest thing.’ It was so spiritual.”
Chappell was also a huge fan of Miley’s TV series, ‘Hannah Montana’, where the star played a seemingly average teenage girl who lives a double life as a famous pop singer.

Jax Jones teases Kesha collaboration

OHMYGOSSIP — Jax Jones has teased a collaboration with Kesha.
The 37-year-old pop star recently returned with her first single as an independent artist and after the end of her lengthy legal battle with producer Dr. Luke, called ‘Joyride’, and now it appears she has more new music in the works with the 37-year-old house music DJ.
Jax – who has worked with the likes of Demi Lovato and RAYE – told the ‘Therapy Couch’ podcast: “At the moment I’m loving the new artist space, where you’re meeting people that are hustling because it’s kind of refreshing.
“There’s something about, like when I worked with RAYE on You Don’t Know Me, where they’re fresh. For me I’m working with someone called SadBoi tomorrow.
“But I’ve got a little tune with Kesha that I’m working on, so I kind of like mixing the two.”
The ‘Woman’ singer is gearing up to release her first album on her very own Kesha Records and is delighted to be in control of her material after her long-running dispute.
In an interview with Paper magazine, Kesha said: “This is the first album I’m making where I’m 100 per cent in control of everything. It feels like it’s my first album.
“It feels divine, it feels like it stands for a lot. It’s really beautiful, and I cannot wait to share it. It’s maybe the most beautiful time of my entire life!”
Kesha boasted that the record will be even better than her 2010 debut smash ‘Animal’.
She said: “I am so excited, I got to work with the people I did and capture this moment in time and put it onto something other people can listen to. It’s been deeply life-changing and profound to make this album, but it’s also the most fun I’ve ever had in my life.
“If you thought ‘Animal’ was fun, just f****** wait.”

SZA is stepping back from live performances ‘for a while’

OHMYGOSSIP — SZA is taking a break from live performances “for a while”.
The 34-year-old singer has announced plans to step back from live music following her show as part of the Osheaga festival in Montreal, Canada on Sunday night (04.08.24) as she looks to focus on her personal life.
In a brief statement on X, formerly Twitter, she wrote: “Yesterday was my last show for a while. Finally bout to get my life together thank u God. (sic)”
Before the announcement, she replied to a fan who said the ‘Saturn’ hitmaker’s gigs make them “so hype” and energetic.
She responded: “This makes me so happy cause that’s all I’m tryna do !!
“I jus wanna capture yalls energy mix it up w mine add some love and throw it back . All within 90 mins… I love you (sic)”
It’s been a big year for SZA, who headlined Glastonbury Festival in June, and admitted during the show that she was “so nervous” before taking to the iconic Pyramid Stage.
She told the crowd: “Glastonbury, I was so nervous to be here with you today.
“I’m so grateful, you have my deepest love and my deepest respect. I love you always, god bless you. Get home safely, my name is SZA, good night.”
SZA has been open about her mental health struggles, and earlier this year she revealed she has three different therapists.
Since becoming one of the biggest stars on the planet with her album ‘SOS’, the ‘Kill Bill’ hitmaker has found it difficult to adjust to being in the spotlight and admits she has lashed out in “frustration” due to the immense pressure she is under, which is so debilitating it makes her not want to leave the house.
She told Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1: “So I’ve been really trying to get my spiritual hygiene together because I realised as of recent that a lot of this s*** is not normal. And I didn’t know how to process that experience.
“And I was having a lot of lashing out and a lot of frustration. And there’s a lot of opinions, a lot of entitlement to your space, a lot of entitlement to your time, a lot of expectation.”

The Weeknd shares haunting new music trailer

OHMYGOSSIP — The Weeknd has posted a haunting music trailer.
After recently providing fans with a two-minute preview of new music, Abel Tesfaye has shared a clip of an animated little boy – seemingly left abandoned – outside in the garden of an empty house in a thunderstorm.
The ‘Blinding Lights’ hitmaker sings lines such as: “I’ve been losing my memories.”
The social media video is captioned: “unprepared certainty…”
Ahead of a one-off concert in São Paulo, Brazil, where the 34-year-old singer is set to debut a brand-new production that will differ from his ‘After Hours Til Dawn Tour’ of 2022 and 2023, the ‘Die For You’ singer recently posted a cinematic trailer.
Quoting German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, he captioned the clip – which came with an epilepsy warning due to flashing imagery – on Instagram: “When you gaze long enough into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you…”
The gig takes place on September 7, at the Estádio MorumBIS soccer stadium.
Ticket prices included a $1 donation to The Weeknd’s XO Humanitarian Fund, which provides food and support to those in poverty, in partnership with the United Nations.
The ‘Popular’ hitmaker has been cryptically teasing the third album in his ‘After Hours’/’Dawn FM’ trilogy, which will mark his sixth studio album.
Among the posts were pictures of his silhouettes with the words: “Pain, regret, rebirth.”
Last June, he teased that the title would be unveiled “soon”.
The ‘Double Fantasy’ star told Variety: “I’m finishing the third part of this saga, of this trilogy. The name of it will come out soon, but it’s not called what some fans think it’s called… what they think it’s called is actually a song on the album, but that’s not what the actual album is called. [It’s unclear which speculative title he’s referring to.] So I’m just gonna say that.”

Chloe Bailey to release second solo album this week

OHMYGOSSIP — Chloë Bailey will release her second album, ‘Trouble In Paradise’, on Friday (09.08.24).
The 26-year-old pop star has reunited with her sister, Halle Bailey, 24, on the track ‘Want Me’, on the follow-up to 2023’s ‘In Pieces’, which marks their first duet since their joint 2020 album ‘Ungodly Hour’.
She recently told Nylon magazine that it “felt like home” working together again.
So far, fans have heard the singles ‘FYS’ and ‘Boy Bye’.
Chloë previously insisted she wants her music to “speak for itself.”
The star chooses to “ignore” any backlash her music may receive because she is “ordained” by her religious beliefs.
Speaking on Audacy’s ‘V-103’ podcast, she said: “I always just wanna let the music speak for itself. And to be honest, no matter what I do, people always find things to say about it, so I’m used to it. I just choose to ignore it. People have every right to their opinions, freedom of speech, and it’s up to me to choose what I give my attention and energy to. Everything I’m doing is ordained by God, and I’m walking in my purpose, and anybody who has a problem with that can kiss my booty.”
The ‘Have Mercy’ hitmaker shot to fame alongside her younger sister, ‘Little Mermaid’ star Halle, as part of the pop duo Chloe x Halle after being discovered by Beyonce on YouTube and explained that the ‘Break My Soul’ megastar had “given her notes” on her debut album even though she was so “nervous” about breaking out on her own.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “Yes, I know she listened to the album. She gave me notes on it before I released it. I love her so, so much. Dearly, dearly, and I’m so grateful to her for everything. I was so nervous! I’m so happy it’s out. I got to say everything I wanted to say, and I hope people get an insight more into who Chloë is.”

K-pop star Kotoko issues health update after fainting onstage

OHMYGOSSIP — K-pop star Kotoko was hospitalised after she fainted onstage.
The UNIS girl band member worried fans when she passed out at the ‘Midsummer Night’s Cultural Festival: Mini K-POP Concert’ in Haenam, South Korea, on August 3.
And breaking her silence, the 16-year-old star insists she is fit and well, just days after the incident.
Taking to Weverse, she said in a translated post: “My physical strength has been restored a lot through rest and stability, so you don’t worry.
“I’ll work hard to take care of my stamina. Thank you for your concern […] I’m all better.”
Their label, F and F Entertainment said: “After being examined, she is currently resting at the hospital.
“We apologise for giving fans cause for concern, and we will do our utmost to make our artist’s health our top priority.”
Meanwhile, fellow K-pop star Jennie of BLACKPINK previously opened up about the strict restrictions South Korean stars face during training periods, including having to abstain from alcohol, smoking and even getting tattoos.
She said in their 2020 Netflix documentary ‘Blackpink: Light Up the Sky’: “It’s really harsh.
“We were not allowed to drink, smoke or get a tattoo.”
The star was recently forced to issue an apology after she was filmed vaping inside.
The 28-year-old star’s personal label, OA Entertainment, issued a statement after the live social media clip, posted to YouTube on July 2, was removed, insisting the star is sorry to anyone who was offended.
It read: “We sincerely apologise to everyone who felt uncomfortable with Jennie’s actions in the content released on the 2nd.
“Jennie acknowledges and deeply regrets her mistake of vaping indoors and causing inconvenience to the staff. Jennie has personally apologized to all the staff on-site who may have been affected.
“We apologise to her fans who have been disappointed through this incident. We hope to prevent this from reoccurring in the future.”
It is against the law to smoke cigarettes or vape indoors in South Korea.
Seoul’s foreign ministry launched an investigation after a formal complaint was made against the star.

David Gilmour boasts new solo album is best thing he’s done since Dark Side Of The Moon

OHMYGOSSIP — David Gilmour has compared his new solo album to Pink Floyd’s ‘Dark Side Of The Moon’.
The 78-year-old multi-instrumentalist has boasted that his first album in nine years, ‘Luck and Strange’, is the “best” thing he’s done since the legendary prog rock group’s seminal 1973 LP.
He told Prog Rock magazine: “It’s over 50 years now since ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’. My feeling is that this album is the best album I’ve made in all those years since 1973 when ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ came out.”
What’s more, the ‘Another Brick In The Wall’ hitmaker is planning to follow up ‘Luck and Strange’ with another record in the not-so-distant future.
He teased: “Our plan is just to get this one out and run it and then do another one straight away. I will be working with all these people again.”
The follow-up to 2015’s ‘Rattle That Lock’ on September 6.
Gilmour once again teamed up with his wife Polly Samson on some of the lyrics after she contributed to his last LP.
As for the lyrical content, the pair tackle the heavy subject of mortality.
Samson, 62, said: “It’s written from the point of view of being older – mortality is the constant.”
Gilmour said: “We spent a load of time during and after lockdown talking about and thinking about those kind of things.”
The musician joined forces with Alt-J’s producer Charlie Andrew and loved how “direct” he was with him.
Gilmour shared: “We invited Charlie to the house, so he came and listened to some demos, and said things like, ‘Well, why does there have to be a guitar solo there?’ and ‘Do they all fade out? Can’t some of them just end?’
“He has a wonderful lack of knowledge or respect for this past of mine. He’s very direct and not in any way overawed, and I love that. That is just so good for me because the last thing you want is people just deferring to you.
“He wants to know what the songs are about, he wants everyone who’s playing on them to have the ideas that are in the lyric informing their playing. I have particularly loved it for that reason.”
Gilmour’s late Pink Floyd bandmate, keyboard player Richard Wright, who passed away in 2008, makes an appearance on the title track after they recorded their jam session at the former’s barn in 2007.
The record is comprised of eight original tracks and a cover of The Montgolfier Brothers’ ‘Between Two Points’.
The latter features their daughter Romany Gilmour, who sings and plays the harp on ‘Between Two Points’, whilst their son Gabriel added backing vocals.
The record also features Guy Pratt and Tom Herbert on bass, Adam Betts, Steve Gadd and Steve DiStanislao on drums, Rob Gentry and Roger Eno – the brother of Brian Eno – on keyboards, and arrangements by Will Gardner.

Carly Pearce has heckler thrown out of Minnesota concert

OHMYGOSSIP — Carly Pearce had a heckler removed from her concert.
The country star was performing at We Fest in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, on August 2, when her concert was disturbed by a man.
In a clip that has circulated on social media, she could be heard saying: “Somebody get him out of here. I do not want him at my show.
“Get out of my show.”
The individual was seen being escorted from the audience at Soo Pass Ranch, after Carly declared “I do not have time for d****”.
She said: “If you’re gonna be an a****** – then you’re gonna have to say it to me and get the f*** out of my show.”
According to radio host Ian Godfrey, Pearce, who was among those to post the footage, the man interrupted Carly after she said she “wanted to tell you all a little about me” by shouting back “no one cares”.
She later fumed: “This is the first time I have sent somebody out of one of my shows, but if you’re going to be that mean and disrespect me, you are not welcome.”
The 34-year-old star isn’t the first artist to have their concert disrupted by a heckler.
Recently, Adele gave a homophobic member of her audience a grilling.
The ‘Hello’ hitmaker taught them a lesson after they shouted, “Pride sucks”.
The 36-year-old singer – who a huge LGBTQ+ following – was performing one of her ‘Weekends with Adele’ Las Vegas residency shows at Colosseum at Caesars Palace when she shut them down.
She fumed: “Are you f****** stupid? Don’t be so f****** ridiculous. If you have nothing nice to say, shut up, all right?”

Sabrina Carpenter was ‘alone in wanting to release Espresso’

OHMYGOSSIP — Sabrina Carpenter was “completely alone” in wanting to release her hit single ‘Espresso’.
The song was unveiled on April 11 and has become one of her signature tracks, going onto top the charts in the UK – as well as 15 other countries around the world – with one billion streams around the world on Spotify.
However, she told Variety: “I was completely alone in wanting to release ‘Espresso’.
“Not so much from my immediate team. But when it came to ‘the powers above’, there was a lot of questioning behind whether it made sense.
“But they trusted me in the end, and I was happy that I believed in myself at that moment.”
Label bosses have seen great reward for putting their faith in the 25-year-old singer’s “instincts, and creative vision”.
Island Records co-CEO Imran Majid added: “It’s no accident that everything is falling into place the way she always wanted.
“Sabrina’s instincts and creative vision are incredible. She’s always thinking 10 steps ahead of the market.
“She’s an inspiration for her fans, collaborators and all of us — she’s one of this generation’s most important artists.”
Megastar Adele is a huge fan of the track, describing it as her “jam” because she relates to the line ‘I’m working late, because I’m a singer”.
Recalling a moment getting back from one of her Las Vegas residency shows, she told the audience: “As I got into bed last night — cause that’s a very late night for me, normally I’m in bed by 9pm— I found myself singing, ‘I’m working late, ’cause I’m a singer’.
“That Sabrina Carpenter song! ‘I can’t relate to desperation.’ That song is my jam!”
The ‘Easy On Me’ hitmaker was gutted that she couldn’t sing along to ‘Espresso’ when she was on her vocal rest as she couldn’t talk.
She added: “It came out and I couldn’t talk! It came out when I couldn’t talk or sing, so since my voice has come back, all last night and this morning that’s what I’ve been singing.”
She then quipped: “From tomorrow, it will be like, ‘I’m sleeping late ’cause I’m a singer,’ because that’s what I’m gonna do tomorrow.”
Sabrina hilariously responded: “All I read was Adele thinks about me in bed.”

Jack Black shares update on Tenacious D’s future

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack Black has reassured fans Tenacious D will “be back”.
The ‘School of Rock’ star cancelled the group’s tour and put “all future creative plans” on hold last month after bandmate Karl Gass made an inappropriate joke about the assassination attempt on Donald Trump at a campaign rally, but he’s now spoken out about the situation and insisted it isn’t a permanent split for the ‘Tribute’ hitmakers.
He told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I love Tenacious D… We had to take a break, but I love the D. Everybody takes a break sometimes. We’ll be back.”
Jack had pulled the plug on the band’s plans after being “blindsided” by Karl’s remarks on stage in Sydney, Australia, which came shortly after the presidential hopeful was shot in the ear, one attendee killed and two others injured at a Republican event in Pennsylvania.
The incident occurred when Jack had sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to Kyle and asked him to make a wish, with his bandmate replying: “Don’t miss Trump next time.”
In the wake of backlash over the 64-year-old musician’s remarks, Frontier Touring postponed another Australian show at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre, which was scheduled for a few days later and Jack then confirmed the concert series is over for good.
He wrote said in a statement: “I was blindsided by what was said at the show on Sunday.
“I would never condone hate speech or encourage political violence in any form.
“After much reflection, I no longer feel it is appropriate to continue the Tenacious D tour, and all future creative plans are on hold.
“I am grateful to the fans for their support and understanding.”
Kyle also apologised for the “lack of judgement” he showed with his “improvised” comment.
He said: “The line I improvised onstage Sunday night in Sydney was highly inappropriate, dangerous and a terrible mistake. I don’t condone violence of any kind, in any form, against anyone.
“What happened was a tragedy, and I’m incredibly sorry for my severe lack of judgement. I profoundly apologize to those I’ve let down and truly regret any pain I’ve caused.”
