OHMYGOSSIP — Lewis Capaldi, Foals and Snow Patrol will headline Latitude 2022.
The ‘Somone You Loved’ hitmaker, the ‘Wake Me Up’ group and Irish chart-toppers will head to Henham Park in Suffolk, England for the annual music festival this July.
The likes of Manic Street Preachers, Phoebe Bridgers, Little Simz, James Arthur, Rina Sawayama, and Fontaines D.C were also confirmed to perform between July 21 and 24.
It’s not the first time Foals have headlined Latitude.
Speaking about their 2013 slot, frontman Yannis Philippakis told NME: “They were the first people to give us a shot at headlining a festival.
“That was obviously a pretty amazing night for us, and I think it arguably changed the trajectory of our career. It definitely was a significant moment for us.”
The indie-pop band will have new music to play festival-goers with their new album, ‘Life Is Yours’, released on June 17.
The group are in their party phase on their follow-up to 2019’s ‘Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 1’ and Part 2.
Yannis said of the record: “We were thinking about parties, club nights and being drunk on the bus at 2am trying to get home.
“All of it: the excitement before you go out, meeting up with your friends, the wild abandon. ‘Who’s got the pingers? Where are we going?’ This is all of that youthful excess of going out.”
As for Lewis, the 25-year-old singer took a year off touring due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic to spend 2021 finishing his new LP – the follow-up to his record-breaking 2019 debut studio album, ‘Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent’.
Snow Patrol – whose last studio album was 2018’s ‘Wildness’- are touring in the US this month.
Tickets for cinch presents Latitude go on sale at 10am on Friday (04.03.22).

OHMYGOSSIP — Dua Lipa is being sued over her song ‘Levitating’.
The 26-year-old singer enjoyed huge success with her 2020 hit but a band called Artikal Sound System are seeking to claim the profits from the track because they believe she has ripped off their 2017 reggae single ‘Live Your Life’.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, the band believe Dua and her team heard their song and came up with a carbon copy in ‘Levitating’.
Although they haven’t explained why they feel that is the case in the lawsuit, there are similarities in the sound of the two songs, particularly the choruses.
Artikal Sound System have also named Dua’s label Warner Records and others as defendants and are seeking any profits made on the song, plus damages.
A spokesperson for Dua has yet to comment.
The ‘One Kiss’ hitmaker recently revealed that she has been working on her new album and already has a “vision” and a name for the record.
She said: “I’ve done a big chunk of writing: It’s starting to take shape; I’ve got a lot of it recorded.
“It has a vision. It has a name, I think – for now. It’s just been fun experimenting. I’m always going to make pop music, but it has its own unique sound, which is exciting and something that feels like a movement from ‘Future Nostalgia’.
“It’s still in baby form, so we’ll see as it progresses. In all honesty, it’s probably not what my fans want to hear, but I’m in no rush.”
Dua released her last album, ‘Future Nostalgia’, in 2020 but the award-winning star never knew that ‘Levitating’ would become such a big hit.
She confessed: “I can never preempt what song people are going to react to the best but ‘Levitating’ was the first song that helped dictate the rest of the album.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Megan Thee Stallion has announced a first-of-its-kind VR concert tour.
The ‘WAP’ hitmaker – who calls her fans Hotties – has unveiled details of the ‘Enter Thee Hottieverse’ run, which will be heading to 10 US cities.
Showing at theatres, audience members will be handed a pair of Hottie Mounted Displays (VR headsets) before watching the 27-year-old rap megastar perform “a multi-song set that moves through a series of environments as well as hot custom wardrobes designed just for the show.”
Megan told Billboard: “Virtual reality has always been an interest of mine, and I’m glad that we’ll be able to make history with this experience.
“My hotties will get to watch me perform in a completely different and unique way, and I appreciate the AmazeVR team for helping me to bring this VR vision to life. I can’t wait to see the Hotties show up to the tour.”
Ernest Lee, Amaze VR co-CEO, commented: “We are thrilled to work with Megan to launch AmazeVR’s very first VR Concert Tour.
“She’s an artist who has incredible stage presence and can create iconic moments that will make the most of the VR technology we’re developing. If anyone could push the notion of how captivating a VR concert can be, it’s Megan.
“Not everyone owns a headset, and not everyone can make it to their favourite artist’s live show.

OHMYGOSSIP — Adele is reportedly in talks to move her Las Vegas residency to a bigger venue.
The ‘I Drink Wine’ singer postponed her ‘Weekends with Adele’ shows at Caesar’s Palace’s Colosseum last month because of production issues, just days before the first concert was due to take place, but it’s now been claimed a move to Planet Hollywood’s Zappos Theatre, which has a capacity of 7,000, is on the cards.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Talks are ongoing with Adele about the possibility of her moving the residency to Zappos.
“The venue is within the Caesars family — who she has the huge money deal with — and it’s world-class.
“It’s been a residency spot for a host of huge stars, including Jennifer Lopez and Shania Twain, and after the issues raised by Adele about her set and the sound quality at the Colosseum, it seems Zappos could be the answer.
“Plus the schedule at the Colosseum is seriously tight. That venue was her first choice, but if that isn’t possible then Zappos is the perfect fit and they want her to know the door is open.”
The Colosseum only seats 4,100 in comparison.
Adele recently promised fans the delayed shows will take place before the end of 2022, and admitted it needs to happen this year because she has “plans” for next year.
The ‘Hello’ hitmaker – who is rumoured to be engaged to Rich Paul – suggested during an appearance on ‘The Graham Norton Show’: “Imagine if I have to cancel because I am having a baby!”
She continued: “We are now working our a**** off, but I don’t want to announce a new set of dates until I know everything will definitely be ready.
“The sooner I can announce the better, but I just can’t in case we are not ready in time. It is absolutely 100% happening this year.
“It has to happen this year because I’ve got plans for next year.”
The ‘Chasing Pavements’ singer – who has nine-year-old son Angelo with ex-husband Simon Konecki – is keen to add to her brood but admitted motherhood has been exhausting.
She said: “It takes me a while to recharge, and I would like to have more children – I only just feel like I’ve caught up with my sleep from nine years ago when I had my son.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Charli XCX has responded to criticism of her latest single, ‘Baby’, by insisting she’s “getting hotter”.
The 29-year-old star went on a Twitter rant after some of her Angels claimed she is going through a “midlife crisis” with the disco tune, following its release on Tuesday (02.03.22).
She responded: “If u wanna throw around midlife crisis f****** throw it at me.
“I’m getting older, I’m getting hotter, my t**s are stunning, I’m in great shape, I’m dancing, I’m progressing and I’m living my best life – and that the tea.”
The ‘Boom Clap’ hitmaker insists she’s never minded that her fanbase have favourite “eras” of her career, but she finds it “very suspicious” that some are not into ‘Baby’.
She wrote: “Again – not bothered that some people will always have their preferred eras etc (that’s why it’s fun being an angel – there’s so much variety) – but if you don’t think baby is a bop then… idk that’s just v suspicious to me… (sic)”
The British star also addressed claims she was “forced to dance” in the music video.
She wrote: “Also – to answer other interesting theories below – no i’m not being forced to dance – totally my choice and one of the most liberating and fun decisions I’ve ever made. (sic)”
Charli has described her upcoming record, ‘CRASH’, as “hyper-sexualised” and explained how she wanted to “challenge” herself with the dancing in the promo.
Speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, she said: “It’s probably the most sexy song I’ve ever made. It’s about sex and sexuality and having good sex and just feeling yourself essentially. I know that that’s the tone. I knew that that was the tone I wanted to carry across for the entire record. This kind of hyper-sexualised, feminine power zone was where I was feeling myself going, and ‘Baby’ was the genesis of this.
“Also I think that’s probably why I wanted to challenge myself on the choreo for this song, which was really, really tough and I have so much respect for dancers, professional dancers, anyone who communicates emotion through dance. It is so hard and challenging, but so rewarding.”

OHMYGOSSIP — David Crosby has advised budding musicians to “not become a musician”.
The 80-year-old rock legend has become disheartened by the music business, in particular, streaming services like Spotify, which he says don’t pay artists “properly”.
And while David wishes he didn’t have to give the “s*****” advice, he has “no hope” that the industry is going to change.
When asked what advice he’d give to the younger generation, he said: “Don’t become a musician.”
David accused Spotify of banking “half my income”.
He expanded in an interview with Stereogum: “I don’t like Spotify. I don’t like any of the streamers, because they don’t pay us properly. Their proportion is wrong. They’re making billions with a ‘b’ and they’re paying out pennies with a ‘p.’
“That’s not OK. It’s not OK in that it took away half my income, and it’s not OK in that, especially, it makes it impossibly difficult for young people to make it in the business. It doesn’t pay them anything. It’s wrong.”
He continued: “You know how s***** it is for me to say that? You know how much I don’t want to say that.
“Some bright-eyed young kid who has talent. To the Becca Stevens and the Michelle Willises and the Michael Leagues of this world? To my own son James? I don’t want to say that to them, and it is the truth. I don’t hold out any hope for it at all.”
The former Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young star insists he’s only continuing to make music to “uplift” others and will probably have to sell his home to pay the bills in the future, because he can’t tour due to his “fragile health”.
He said: “What James and I are doing, and what the Lighthouse Band are doing – we’re making records anyway, because we love making records and because we think music is a lifting force … I think these are really hard times, and people need the lift. I’m making music because music makes things better and it makes people happier. That’s good enough for me. If I don’t get paid, I don’t get paid.
“It’s OK for now. I’m going to run out of money in a couple of years and then I’ll have to sell my house. That’s just how that is. I can’t do s*** about it. I can’t play live anymore. I’m 80 years old and I’m very fragile health-wise. I can’t change the marketplace.”
David bemoaned that he’s “done” with the “scummy people” at Spotify.
The musician, along with Stephen Stills and Graham Nash, recently backed former bandmate Neil Young when he removed his music from the streaming service in protest over Joe Rogan’s podcast allegedly spreading coronavirus and vaccine misinformation.
And though Spotify promised to make changes after a string of artists followed Neil’s lead, David isn’t expecting much to happen.
He said: “They’re not going to suddenly develop a sense of moral responsibility. They’re scummy people…
“I don’t see them growing a conscience. I don’t believe there are good people working there. If they were good people, they wouldn’t work there.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Madonna is set to return with an Afrobeats version of megahit ‘Frozen’.
The Queen of Pop has teamed up with 26-year-old Nigerian star Fireboy DML on the new rendition of her popular 1998 track, which is released on Thursday (03.03.22), with the pair set to drop a music video soon.
The 63-year-old music icon took to Instagram this week to share a series of racy snaps from the set of the promo, including one of Fireboy with his hands wrapped around the ‘Like a Virgin’ hitmaker’s waist and another of Madonna showing off her butt in fishnets and a barely-there dress.
The post was captioned: “Frozen Remix song and video featuring @fireboydml. Music drops March 3rd……… Video soon after! #frozen (sic)”
And in a follow-up post, the Grammy-winner shared behind-the-scenes footage and pictures from the shoot soundtracked by a snippet of the tune.
The pair releasing the remix comes after the Sickick version of ‘Frozen’ went viral on TikTok.
Fireboy is enjoying success after Ed Sheeran jumped on a remix of his track ‘Peru’.
Madonna has been known to be working on a remix project and it was recently reported that she has recruited pal Katy Perry for one song.
The’I Kissed A Girl’ hitmaker previously made a cameo in Madonna’s star-studded ‘B**** I’m Madonna’ music video in 2015, and she’s now believed to have added her vocals to a remix of one of her biggest hits for the upcoming album.
A source said: “Madonna has been going flat out over the past few weeks.
“Not only is she working on her biopic but she’s also been in the studio at all hours.
“She’s been a massive fan of Katy for years and always talked about doing a song with her.
“With the remix project things have fallen into place. As plans are still being sorted out, no release date is set yet. Hopefully fans won’t have to wait too long.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Avril Lavigne has hailed Travis Barker a “studio wizard”.
The ‘Complicated’ hitmaker recently signed to the Blink-182 drummer’s DTA Records for her comeback album, ‘Love Sux’, which he contributed to, and Avril says there is “so much more to him than being a drummer”.
She told Uproxx: “It’s just been really great to see him evolve. He’s so much more than a drummer. He has a great sense of production. He knows a lot about songwriting. He’s a businessman. He’s a studio wizard. Like, there’s so much more to him than being a drummer. He spends every waking moment — like, he’s always working, he’s always in the studio. He loves music, he’s so passionate about it, and really shows. I’m really enjoying working with him, because he’s also an artist, so he understands. He’s been around for a long time and doing his thing for a long time, and so have I, and so we can really relate to each other.”
The 37-year-old pop-punk icon admitted it’s important that she makes the music she wants to make, as she hinted fans can expect more music in her signature style.
She said: “I was like ‘I want to make a pop-punk record, let’s f****** go.’ I didn’t have a label at the time, I didn’t have managers. I’m like 20 years into my career and it’s like, I’m just doing this s*** for me now, and I want to make the music I want to make. This is where my heart is, and what I’m feeling. I think it’s like my favourite record.”
‘Love Sux’ also features Machine Gun Kelly, who is among the current generation of pop-punk stars alongside the likes of Olivia Rodrigo and Lil Huddy, and she’s “excited” to see the genre in the mainstream again.
She said: “I’m so stoked to see my friends doing so well in music, and the new generation discovering rock music. If you look at the success of the When We Were Young festival (Las Vegas emo festival), it shows the appetite for this type of music is the strongest it’s ever been. I love that people identify with my music, and I love that it’s come back around. OHMYGOSSIP — Normani will release her new single, ‘Fair’, on March 18.
The former Fith Harmony star is following up the lead single from her long-awaited debut solo album, ‘Wild Side’, featuring rap megastar Cardi B, with the new song later this month.
Alongside a short preview of the track, she announced: “seventeen days and counting releasing my other baby on march 18thhhhhhhhhh.(sic)”
In the brief clip, Normani sings: “When I say I won’t, tell myself I don’t, but I always will feel the way I feel.”
In December, Normani revealed her LP is almost done”.
‘Motivation’ star gave the exciting update as she opened up about how daunting it was leaving the safety net of a girl group to embark on a solo career.
She explained: “Coming out of a girl group, there was a lot that I had to figure out about myself and fears that I had to deal with head-on.
“I was always so safe being in a girl group. I remember my mom when I was little, she was like, ‘Why do you want to be in a girl group so bad? Is it so you can hide?’
“And I think that that was pretty much the answer. But God had other plans for me, and by his faithfulness and his grace … Oh, he’s really, really kept me. Because what we do is not easy, guys, I’m telling you.”
The 25-year-old singer admitted it’s scary putting out the “deepest part of me” for all the world to hear as she is opening herself up to criticism, but she has never felt more confident about her music.
She said: “I think people really underestimate how hard it is and how much effort we put into one project, one body of work.
“When you give your baby out to the world – which is, y’know, our music – that’s the deepest part of me, [and] you give people the opportunity to kind of pick it apart and have an opinion on it; but I believe in what I’m doing now, for sure.”
The ‘Dancing with a Stranger’ hitmaker previously teased that her first record will “finally allow people” to get to know “the real” her.
She said: “I am definitely going to be prioritising real-life experiences and making sure it’s my truth – me as a woman, right now.
“[It] will finally [allow] people to get to know the real me, the real Normani.”
Normani had been “bottling up” her solo greatness and she knew she had it “within her” long before she unleashed her debut solo single, ‘Motivation’, two years ago.
She added: “To the rest of the world it’s like, Oh my gosh, where has she been? What is this?
“For me, this is what I knew I’ve had within myself for such a long time.
“I have just been bottling it up, and I’m so eager to share it with the rest of the world.

OHMYGOSSIP — Robert Smith has let slip that one of The Cure’s upcoming albums is called ‘Songs Of The Lost World’.
The ‘Friday I’m in Love’ rockers are known to be working on two distinctively different records, while frontman Robert is also preparing a solo record.
One of the albums is finished and ‘Songs Of The Last World’ is nearing completion.
Speaking to NME, he said: “So I’ve been working on two Cure albums, and one of them is finished.
“Unfortunately, it’s the second one that’s finished. [On the other] I’ve got to do four vocals, and there are 10 songs on each album. We’re mixing next month on April 1, so I’ve got three weeks left.
“I know what it’s called – it’s called ‘Songs Of The Lost World’. It’s got artwork, it’s got a running order, it’s almost done! They’re so slow because of vinyl, but it might come in September. I’d rather it just came out. I can’t stand the anticipation.”
On what fans can expect, he continued: “Well the first Cure album is relentless doom and gloom. It’s the doomiest thing that we’ve ever done. The second one is upbeat, and my [solo] one won’t be out until next year.”
The 62-year-old singer admitted he has been left feeling “a bit disenchanted” making his solo album and thought it sounded “rubbish”.
He said: “I have to keep revisiting it. It’s a thing I’ve wanted to do for so many years. I realise I’ve only got one shot at doing it, so I’ve now started to add real instruments and acoustic instruments, whereas this time two years ago it was literally just feedback – but I’ve kind of grown a bit disenchanted with it. I’d listened to it like three times and I think it’s rubbish.”
The ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ hitmaker previously described the project as an “hour-long noise” record, which his bandmates rejected for The Cure.
Robert was speaking after he and Chvrches won Best Song In The UK at the BandLab NME Awards 2022 for ‘How Not To Drown’.
They also took to the stage to give the song its live debut and also covered The Cure’s hit ‘Just Like Heaven’.

The ‘Blank Space’ hitmaker declared herself a “forever fan” of the pop-punk icon in a touching note with the floral gift.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jess Glynne has signed with Roc Nation in a bid to crack America.
The 32-year-old singer has signed with Jay-Z’s record label, and she’s determined to eventually become a big star in the US.
A music insider said: “There is no doubt that Jess is a force to be reckoned with in British music. Her songs have been wildly successful.
“But there hasn’t been a massive pick-up outside Europe. Now she feels like it is the time to branch out.”
Jess previously split from Atlantic Records and she’s now hoping to make a mark on the other side of the Atlantic, after signing with Roc Nation.
The source told The Sun newspaper: “She wanted to change up her sound and people should expect something different from her when she returns.
“But given her obvious talents when it comes to singing and songwriting, Roc Nation is confident there are even bigger and better things on the horizon for Jess.”
The singer – who released her debut album, ‘I Cry When I Laugh’, in 2015 – previously admitted that she initially struggled to cope with fame.
Jess became very conscious of her own appearance – and her perceived flaws – after becoming a well-known pop star.
The London-born star shared: “I guess I’ve never felt that I looked like a pop star. I know there’s no defining image of what makes a pop star, but this industry makes you look at yourself so much more.
“You do photo shoots, videos, everything like that, and you have to look at yourself a lot.
“And so I ended up constantly judging my appearance, and that’s … weird. It made existing insecurities worse.
“You feel a lot of pressure from society to look amazing and be amazing at all times, and that’s not reality.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Dave Grohl thinks the music industry is now “a different game” for younger bands.
The 53-year-old star admits guitar bands no longer have the cultural cache that they once did, and Dave now considers Billie Eilish to be “rock’n’roll”, observing that she’s “started a revolution”.
He explained: “I can understand how it’s a different game nowadays for younger bands.
“There’s a lot of great young bands that are f****** killing it and have devoted fan bases. They might not be as popular as Nicki Minaj, but honestly, when I see f****** Billie Eilish, that’s rock’n’roll to me. She started a revolution and took over the world.”
Dave is also a huge fan of the Isle of Wight duo Wet Leg – and he’s predicted they will soon “take over America”.
The Foo Fighters star told The Independent: “I really do dig them. A friend of mine turned me on to them about six or seven months ago and I couldn’t get the song out of my head.
“Sometimes we’ll hang out at a friend’s house and just dance until four o’clock in the morning, and we’ll play ‘Chaise Longue’ on repeat, like over and over and over and over and over again.”
Dave has also enjoyed watching the new Beatles documentary, ‘Get Back’.
And the former Nirvana star explained that he could particularly “relate” to Sir Ringo Starr.
Reflecting on his own career, Dave explained: “the majority of the film you see Ringo just sitting there on the drum set, just kind of f****** waiting for something to happen. That’s what it’s like to be the drummer of a band!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Tinie Tempah is launching a fried chicken delivery service.
The ‘Pass Out’ rapper is hoping to “reinvent the wrap” with Raps that will begin with a four-month pop up at Willows on the Roof – located at the top of John Lewis on London’s Oxford Street – and will be available via Deliveroo in areas such as Shoreditch, Hackney, Dalston, Brixton, Queen’s Park and Camberwell, from 11 March.
The 33-year-old hip-hop artist said in a statement: “Raps just felt right. Food is an exploration of culture through its ingredients and flavours and London, the city I’m from, is rich with diversity and culture; it was really exciting to work on something where I was able to combine the food I love and grew up on (both in the home and on the high street) and the music that inspired me to be who I am today.”
In addition to wraps, the menu – which is “a nostalgic nod to Tinie’s early childhood spent frequenting the chicken shop of South East London” – will also include chicken tenders (Unknown T’s buttermilk tenders) and wings (Peng Wings), which was developed by social media sensation Big Has, who has worked an array of top restaurants and a graduate of Jamie Oliver’s 15 course.
According to their website, the food company is “an inclusive community” inspired by hip-hop, with dishes’ names being inspired by many rap artists, such as JME.
It reads: “RAPS is an inclusive community of indulgent and healthy soul food fans, with hip hop ideologies at its core brought to you by Tinie Tempah and Kitchen Ventures.
“The brand delivers a nostalgic nod to Tinie’s early childhood spent frequenting the chicken shops of South East London after school and to family dinners, RAPS is both a trip down memory lane and a celebration of Tinie’s desire to reinvent a classic wRAP.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Martin Fry felt “guilty” about getting diagnosed with cancer during his band’s heyday
The ABC frontman found out he had Hodgkin lymphoma in 1986, aged 27, “terrifying” but believes the experience has made him “a lot more positive” now.
The 63-year-old singer told the Mirror: “I felt guilty, like I’d let a lot of people down. And it was terrifying.
“But I can’t really have those regrets. People who come to see me today know that’s where I get my energy from, appreciating every moment. Because of it, I’m a lot more positive today about life and what you can achieve.”
Martin – who shot to fame in the band along with Mark White, Stephen Singleton and David Palmer in the 80s – attributes coming back to the band to a waiter who gushed over him during a meeting with record executives after they were sceptical of his ability to return.
He said: “I felt like a racehorse – they just wanted to look at my teeth really, I was just an investment to them. I was a bit emaciated.
“Then this waiter came over and he was shaking, and asked for my autograph. And I could see the guys looking and saying, ‘Well, he’s still got it. He looks s*** but that guy wants his autograph’. I want to thank that guy.”
The New Romantic rocker admitted that he began his career as an “arrogant young idiot” and called fame “one of the most surreal experiences”.
He said: “You’ve got to imagine going through that portal. You’re signing on in Sheffield, then jumping on the bus and going to Top Of The Pops.
“You go in as this arrogant young idiot who thinks they can change the world and you come out as a pop star. It was one the most surreal experiences.”
Now, Martin – who is married to Julie with whom he has twins Louis and Nancy, now 31 – performs under the ABC name without the other members and loves his “80s legend status”.
He said: “I’m 63 and I get to go out to a field in Leeds or Sunderland, with Adam Ant, Howard Jones or Heaven 17.
“You step out there and there are 20,000 people singing the words of ‘All Of My Heart’ back at me.”
“I’m thinking, ‘People aren’t normally interested in old fellas like me, so it’s a real privilege to still be performing’.
“It’s nice being an 80s legend, like an elder statesman of pop.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Louis Tomlinson and Yungblud are among the artists to cancel their concerts amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
The former One Direction star has pulled the plug on his planned performances in the capital cities as part of his world tour.
The 30-year-old star was due to play the Stereo Plaza in Kyiv on July 4 and Circus City Hall in Moscow on July 6.
Louis wrote on social media: “Due to the recent events in Ukraine, I have to sadly announce that my tour shows in Moscow and Kyiv are cancelled until further notice.
“The safety of my fans is my priority and my thoughts go out to the people of Ukraine and all those suffering from this needless war.”
‘Fleabag’ rocker Yungblud promised to make it up to his Russian fans after cancelling his concerts there in the summer.
The 24-year-old star – whose real name is Dominic Harrison – blasted the “vicious and brutal acts” of Russia’s President Vladimir Putin, who launched a full-scale attack on the neighbouring country last week.
He wrote: “I’m heartbroken to announce I will be cancelling my Russian shows scheduled for this summer.
“Heartbroken because I know the vicious and brutal acts of the Russian regime in Ukraine over the past week do not reflect the attitudes and ideals of the beautiful people who I have met in Russia in the past.
“Everyone deserves to be the creator of their own destiny, rather than having it forced upon them by acts of war and aggression. Ukraine, I promise I’ll come back as soon as I can. My heart is with you, always.”
According to TMZ, The Killers have also pulled out of Park Live Festival in Moscow in July.
The latest cancellations come after Green Day announced they will no longer be bringing their ‘Hella Mega Tour’ to the Spartak Stadium in the Russian capital on May 29.
In a statement, Billie Joe Armstrong and co said: “With heavy hearts, in light of current events we feel it is necessary to cancel our upcoming show in Moscow at Spartak Stadium.
“We are aware that this moment is not about stadium rock shows, it’s much bigger than that. But we also know that rock and roll is forever and we feel confident there will be a time and a place for us to return in the future. Stay safe.”
Russia was also banned from this year’s ‘Eurovision Song Contest’.
