OHMYGOSSIP — Megan Thee Stallion and Dua Lipa are joining forces for a new collaboration.
The ‘WAP’ hitmaker and the 26-year-old pop megastar will release their new song on Friday (11.03.22).
The pair teased fans by sharing a snippet of the track in question – which is as-yet-untitled – on Instagram over the weekend.
Megan spits: “Me and Dua Lipa finna get the party lit.”
The collaboration comes ahead of Megan opening for Dua on her ‘Future Nostalgia’ tour dates in Denver, Tulsa and Phoenix next week, where they will no doubt give the live debut of the tune.
Megan has already teamed up with the likes of Beyonce, Cardi B and BTS on hits, but she recently revealed she is hoping to get Adele on a song.
The ‘Savage’ rapper and the ‘Easy On Me’ hitmaker have had their music mixed together in a viral TikTok trend, and the 27-year-old star put it out into the world that she wants to get Adele, 33, on one of her songs.
She said: “If Adele wants me to come get on the track, be the dancer, I’m there, I’m here for it.
“Somebody tell her to call me because I’m ready!”
Meanwhile, Megan has just announced a first-of-its-kind VR concert tour.
The ‘Butter’ hitmaker – who calls her fans Hotties – unveiled details of the ‘Enter Thee Hottieverse’ run, which will be heading to 10 US cities.
Showing at theatres, audience members will be handed a pair of Hottie Mounted Displays (VR headsets) before watching the rapper perform “a multi-song set that moves through a series of environments as well as hot custom wardrobes designed just for the show.”
Megan told Billboard: “Virtual reality has always been an interest of mine, and I’m glad that we’ll be able to make history with this experience.
“My hotties will get to watch me perform in a completely different and unique way, and I appreciate the AmazeVR team for helping me to bring this VR vision to life. I can’t wait to see the Hotties show up to the tour.”
The tour kicks off in Los Angeles in April and runs through to July.

OHMYGOSSIP — Groove Armada have announced the special guests joining them for their final full live UK tour.
The electronic dance music legends – comprising of Tom Findlay and Andy Cato – will bid farewell to their major live sets next month, kicking off on April 5 in Glasgow, and concluding with two nights at London’s Brixton Academy on April 16 and 17.
The Grammy-duo will celebrate 25 years of touring with the ‘GA25’ jaunt.
The tour will see the pair joined by Norman Jay MBE, Ewan McVicar, PBR Streetgang, Andy Baxter, Arielle Free, Ishmael Ensemble, Luke Una, Hot Blood and Warm DJs.
Underground star Ewan McVicar will get the party started on the opening night in Glasgow, with dance icon Norman Jay MBE closing proceedings at Brixton Academy.
The ‘I See You Baby’ hitmakers are also preparing to release a 25th-anniversary boxset later this year, which will see “leading underground artists” feature on remixes of their iconic tracks, as well as new music.
Groove Armada previously retired from touring in 2010.
Tom and Andy – who formed GA in the mid-1990s – embarked on a farewell tour.
In a statement, they said at the time: “We’ve crossed and re-crossed the world with this band and crew. There’s no other team like it. With their help, GA live became the sound of legendary nights from Mount Fuji to Moscow.
“It’s not often in the spotlight maybe; but ask the people who have come and filled the tents and surrounded the stages for the last decade.
A massive thanks to all of them, for staying with us.”
In 2020, GA reunited and released their first album in a decade, ‘Edge Of The Horizon’, their first since 2010’s ‘Black Light’ and ‘White Light’.
Away from music, Andy runs a farm in France and Tom is a therapist.

OHMYGOSSIP — BLACKPINK are preparing to make their comeback “soon”.
The K-Pop girl group’s band member Jennie has let slip that the ‘Sour Candy’ hitmakers will be returning with new music shortly.
Taking part in the YouTube channel The Game Caterers’ games series alongside other popular K-Pop acts recently, the 26-year-old singer teased: “BLACKPINK is also making a comeback soon. I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this, but since I’m the only [BLACKPINK member] here, I’ll just say it.
“Please look forward to it. Thank you very much.”
The group – completed by Jisoo, 26, Lisa, 24, and Rose, 25 – haven’t released new music since their 2020 debut studio LP ‘The Album’.
However, Jeon Somi accidentally leaked what appears to be a new track by the band while on Instagram Live last week.
The 20-year-old rapper was looking for a free recording studio at YG Entertainment HQ, when she stumbled into a room with the song playing.
Jeon immediately ran out of the room.
Several BLACKPINK fans believe they heard Jennie’s vocals on the track, but there has been no word from the band at the time of writing.
Their acclaimed album featured the collaborations ‘Bet You Wanna’ with Cardi B and ‘Ice Cream’ with Selena Gomez.
BLACKPINK also released the Netflix documentary, ‘Light Up the Sky’, which documented their journey to global superstardom.
The film tracks the early stages of their career, right up until their 2019 Coachella performance.
In a statement, BLACKPINK – who formed in Seoul in 2016 – said at the time: “We can’t wait to share our personal stories with Blinks all over the world through Netflix!
“We hope this film will bring joy and light to the viewers, and they will enjoy seeing our journey together on screen from the past four years.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Florence + The Machine will release a “monstrous” new single, ‘Heaven Is Here’, tonight (07.03.22).
The Florence Welch-led indie group’s new track follows the recently released comeback single, ‘KING’.
For ‘Heaven Is Here’, the 35-year-old star created choreography to accompany the song for the first time.
Writing on Instagram, Florence shared: “‘Heaven Is Here’ was the first song I wrote in lockdown after an extended period of not being able to get to the studio.
“I wanted to make something monstrous. And this clamour of joy, fury and grief was the first thing that came out.
“With dance studios also shut it was my dream to one day create choreography with it. So it’s one of the first pieces of music I have made specifically with contemporary dance in mind.”
‘Heaven Is Here’ is released at 4pm BST.
On’KING’, the ‘You’ve Got The Love’ singer considered her gender for the first time and how men have it easier than women in music, particularly with regards to starting a family.
She said in a press release: “As an artist, I never actually thought about my gender that much. I just got on with it. I was as good as the men and I just went out there and matched them every time.
But now, thinking about being a woman in my thirties and the future, I suddenly feel this tearing of my identity and my desires. That to be a performer, but also to want a family might not be as simple for me as it is for my male counterparts.
“I had modelled myself almost exclusively on male performers, and for the first time I felt a wall come down between me and my idols as I have to make decisions they did not.”
Meanwhile, Florence previously admitted she started drinking at one point in time in order to escape the pressures of fame.
The chart-topping star found fame and success hard to deal with earlier in her career, and she turned to alcohol as a means of coping with the situation.
She said: “That’s when the drinking and the partying exploded, as a way to hide from it. I was drunk a lot of the time, on extra dirty Martinis – my way of drinking three shots at once. I was never interested in a nice glass of wine.”
However, Florence eventually realised that she could cope without the alcohol.
She explained: “When I realised I could perform without the booze it was a revelation. There’s discomfort and rage, and the moment when they meet is when you break open. You’re free.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran took just a “morning” out of his busy schedule to complete his latest duet with Camila Cabello.
The pair – who previously teamed up on 2019’s ‘South of the Border’ for Ed’s ‘No.6 Collaborations Project – had a short space of time to write Camila and the ‘Shape of You’ hitmaker’s verse on ‘Bam Bam’ and get it recorded and finished.
Camila told Zane Lowe on New Music Daily on Apple Music: “I wanted to make a song that had English words, but gives me that same feeling that a lot of these Latin songs give us. And so basically, we had this version of the song. And then by the time that Ed [Sheeran] had heard it and been on board to do it, I was in a different place in my life. I’d come out of this long relationship. And also, Ed was like, ‘Okay, I love it but I want to change the chords on the verse.’ And so he had a morning … Ed is the busiest fricking guy in the world. I don’t know how he does it, but he had a morning off. And so me, him, Ricky, and Scott Harris went in the room and we all wrote my verse, and his verse, recorded it, and finished the song.”
The 31-year-old pop megastar teased a new collaboration with Camila at the end of 2021.
In December, Ed was asked if the 25-year-old star features on his single ‘The Joker and the Queen’, to which he replied: “No, but actually we have done a song together that is going to come out next year.”
It was actually Taylor Swift who featured on the remix of the song from his LP ‘=’.
Camila previously revealed Ed and Taylor are her songwriting “heroes”.
She said: “I’ve been lucky to have people at different times show me kindness. When I was like 16, 17, and I was still in Fifth Harmony, I fell in love with songwriting.
“I remember approaching Taylor Swift and being like, ‘Hey, what do you do when you’re in a writing slump?’ or whatever, asking her for advice, and she showed me a lot of kindness. Ed Sheeran too.
“These were my songwriting heroes, so I was stoked that they were even talking to me.”

OHMYGOSSIP — The Prodigy have marked the third anniversary of Keith Flint’s death.
The founding member of the group tragically took his own life on March 4, 2019, aged 49, and his bandmates Liam Howlett and Maxim have taken to social media to pay tribute to the late rocker and revealed they still feel his presence “every single day.”
They tweeted: “Its been three years … We miss u every single day brother, but we feel u always with and around us.
“Your Fire will never go out. Stay Punk brother. We live forever! (sic)”
Liam and Maxim are currently working on an album in the late star’s honour.
In May 2021, they gave fans a teaser of what’s to come.
Alongside a 15-second clip of a Nu metal-style beat, they tweeted: “New Prodigy studio session beats are rollin #theprodigy #keepitraw #weliveforthebeats.”
Following the tragic death of Keith, songwriter-and-producer Liam confirmed that The Prodigy had gone back into the studio for the first time since his passing.
The upcoming eighth record from the ‘Firestarter’ hitmakers will be the follow-up to 2018’s ‘No Tourists’, which was the fourth and final LP to feature Keith’s vocals and co-writing before his death.
It’s not known if Liam will posthumously feature on any of the new material.
In a statement at the time of his passing, the band said: “It is with deepest shock and sadness that we can confirm the death of our brother and best friend Keith Flint. A true pioneer, innovator and legend. He will be forever missed. We thank you for respecting the privacy of all concerned at this time.”
The ‘Omen’ rockers subsequently cancelled all of their planned tour dates, including a slot at Glastonbury festival.

OHMYGOSSIP — Diplo admits he saw Twitter as a “big joke” when he had “beef” with Taylor Swift and Lorde.
The world-famous DJ faced a backlash when he made a joke about the ‘Shake It Off’ hitmaker’s booty in 2014, with New Zealand pop star Lorde jumping to Taylor’s defence by poking fun at Diplo’s penis size.
The tweet read: “Someone should make a kickstarter to get taylor swift a booty. (sic)”
Diplo – who returned with his first self-titled solo album of electronic music in 18 years today (04.03.22) – has addressed his past remarks on the micro-blogging site and admitted he was an “unabashedly crazy person” online, as he didn’t think he’d be held accountable for his words.
In an interview with Input magazine, Diplo – whose real name is Thomas Wesley Pentz – said: “I don’t take it that seriously. When I first started using social media, it was a big joke for me. On Twitter, I was an unabashedly crazy person. And I didn’t realise that there was power in those words. I would make fun of other artists, and that really came back to hurt me in the end.
“Like I had huge beefs with Lorde and Taylor Swift at the time. And I thought it was so funny, but you know, people hold you accountable for your Twitter in such a strange way. It’s not real life. Sarcasm doesn’t come through on social media.”
The Major Lazer star is “silly” on Instagram but is still getting to grips with how best to use the platform.
He added: “But at least on Instagram, I just try to be silly, because I don’t really want to take selfies all day long and show off how cool I am. Every day, I’m learning how to use my Instagram, to be honest.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Red Hot Chili Peppers have released their new single, ‘Poster Child’.
The funk rockers have given fans another taste of their upcoming comeback album, ‘Unlimited Love’, following the release of last monnth’s lead single ‘Black Summer’ – which has already amassed more than 16 million Spotify streams.
The latest tune is accompanied by an animated promo.
The follow-up to 2016’s ‘The Getaway’, released on April 1, will be their first LP to feature guitarist John Frusciante since 2006’s ‘Stadium Arcadium’.
The musician returned in 2019 after a decade away from the rock band.
The ‘Californication’ rockers put in the hours to “hone” their craft and make “the best album” they could for fans.
In a statement, RHCP – completed by frontman Anthony Kiedis drummer Chad Smith and bassist Flea – wrote: “We (John, Anthony, Chad and Flea) spent thousands of hours, collectively and individually, honing our craft and showing up for one another, to make the best album we could.
“Our antennae attuned to the divine cosmos, we were just so damn grateful for the opportunity to be in a room together, and, once again, try to get better. Days, weeks and months spent listening to each other, composing, jamming freely, and arranging the fruit of those jams with great care and purpose. The sounds, rhythms, vibrations, words and melodies had us enrapt.

Chad previously insisted that it’s impossible to compare their upcoming LP to their previous records.
He explained: “All of our records are just real good snapshots of where we’re at [at] that time. You can’t really go, ‘Oh, gee, I hope it’s as good as…’ Then you’re starting to have preconceived notions about what you want to write.
“Look, John hasn’t been in our group in 10 years. That’s a long time. So of course it’s going to sound different, but it’s gonna sound like the four of us because we do have this special chemistry together.
“It sounds like Red Hot Chili Peppers, but it’s different and new, and to me that’s great… We really like it and we’re proud of it and it has to start there.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bring Me The Horizon dedicated a six-song set to the people of Ukraine at the BandLab NME Awards.
The British rock band took to the O2 Academy Brixton stage on Wednesday night (02.03.22) for their ceremony-ending set, and they took the opportunity to express their support for the people of Ukraine, amid the ongoing conflict with Russia.
Frontman Oli Sykes said: “I guess it’s better being here in a room full of influential people: they need to use their voice every single day until this crisis is over.”
The 35-year-old star also underlined the significance of the war in Ukraine, warning that “international peace” is under threat.
He said: “If Kyiv does not survive, international peace will not survive.”
The band displayed the Ukrainian flag on their bass drum skin, and played a series of songs in tribute to the Ukrainian people, including ‘Can You Feel My Heart’, ‘Parasite Eve’, ‘DiE4u’, ‘Mantra’ and ‘1×1’.
Elsewhere, Little Simz also shared a heartfelt message at the awards show.
The 28-year-old star – who won the Best Solo Act from the UK accolade at the event – used the platform to call for unity and encouraged people to “support each other” amid ongoing tensions around the world.
The London-born rapper – who also recently won a BRIT Award for Best New Artist – said: “There’s a lot going on in the world right now. And I would really just hope for us to love on each other, to be there for each other, to support each other, and do the best that we can, because so many people don’t have that right now.”

OHMYGOSSIP — The Weeknd is set to tour North America with Doja Cat on the ‘After Hours Til Dawn’ tour.
The ‘Save Your Tears’ hitmaker has unveiled the first leg of the world tour in support of his albums ‘After Hours’ and Dawn FM’, which will see him and the ‘Say So’ hitmaker perform at stadiums this summer.
The jaunt kicks off in his home city of Toronto on July 8, and is scheduled to wrap on September 2 in Los Angeles.
The megastar – whose real name is Abel Tesfaye – is expected to announce further dates in Mexico, South America, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
The 32-year-old humanitarian is donating $1 from every ticket sold for the tour to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), which he has partnered with to launch the XO Humanitarian Fund.
The Weeknd said: “The goal with this fund is to provide immediate life-saving support to people who are on the brink of starvation.
“I’m so thankful to have WFP as a partner and to further expand our reach to those who need it most.”
The ‘Blinding Lights’ hitmaker is also pledging $500,000 of his own money to the fund.
The Weeknd and Doja released the duet ‘You Right’ on Doja’s 2021 ‘Planet Her’ album.
Meanwhile, the Canadian star recently teased that ‘Dawn FM’ is part of a trilogy.
The ‘Tears in the Club’ singer appeared to reveal that a third album is to follow 2020’s ‘After Hours’ and ‘Dawn FM’.
Alongside the artwork for his latest LP, which is a photograph of his older self, The Weeknd tweeted: “I wonder… did you know you’re experiencing a new trilogy?”
The ‘Take My Breath’ hitmaker is yet to provide any more details, such as which three albums will make up the trilogy.
However, many fans believe ‘After Hours’ will be included.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Paul McCartney and Kendrick Lamar have officially been confirmed as headliners for Glastonbury 2022.
The Beatles legend and 34-year-old hip-hop megastar are set to join Friday night headliner Billie Eilish and Diana Ross, who has landed the Sunday afternoon legend’s slot, at Worthy Farm this June.
McCartney – who last played in 2004 – will top the Pyramid Stage on Saturday, June 25.
The ‘Let it Be’ hitmaker was due to perform in 2020, before the event was called off due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Organiser Emily Eavis told the BBC: “When he finally confirmed, we were beyond [excited].
“For us, having Paul McCartney is obviously a dream, a huge moment in our history. It means the world getting Paul McCartney to Glastonbury.”
McCartney, who will be 80 when he plays the world-famous festival, appeared to confirm his headline slot when he dropped a Wordle clue on social media recently.
Kendrick is set to headline on Sunday, June 26.
The first line-up announcement also featured the likes of Olivia Rodrigo, Lorde, Megan The Stallion, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Wolf Alice, Years and Years, Charli XCX, Crowded House, Celeste, Arlo Parks, Doja Cat, and Haim.
Diana – who initially shot to fame as part of The Supremes – previously expressed her excitement about performing at Glastonbury.
She wrote: “I’m so excited and grateful to finally know that I’ll be seeing you at #Glastonbury while on my UK Thank U Tour celebrating my new album of songs! See you at @glastonbury on Sunday, June 26, 2022 [stars emoji] #dianarossthankyou (sic)”
Diana was originally due to make her debut at the festival in 2020, but her planned appearance was scrapped because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Now, though, she’s set to perform on the Pyramid Stage in front of one of the event’s largest crowds.
Eavis also announced that the festival will be raising funds for the Red Cross Ukraine appeal, alongside WaterAid, Oxfam and Greenpeace.
Glastonbury takes place in Somerset between June 22 and June 26.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Elton John gave Rina Sawayama’s upcoming album his seal of approval.
The ‘Tiny Dancer’ hitmaker and the 31-year-old singer previously joined forces on the hit ‘Chosen Family’, and Rina has revealed the music legend blasted out songs from her follow-up to her self-titled 2020 debut studio album on his “humongous boombox”.
Rina told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “I wrote a record during lockdown, which was really difficult.
“I felt I just didn’t have anything to write about because, like a lot of people, I wasn’t doing anything. But I managed to do it and it is coming out this year.”
She added of Elton: “We spent some time in the summer together and he has this humongous boombox which he listens to music on. I played him my songs and he loved them.”
Elton, 74, crowned Rina’s first LP his “album of the year”.
Speaking to the Japanese singer-songwriter on FaceTime for his Apple Music radio show ‘Rocket Hour’, he told her: “Hi Rina! It’s so wonderful to talk to you because so far you have made my album of the year. This is my favourite album of the year.”
The ‘Dynasty’ singer replied: “Stop it, no way.”
Elton said Rina was on his “bucket list” of artists he wanted to quiz on her music because he’s “so fascinated” by her.
He went on to say: “It’s a phenomenal record.
“We’ve been playing a lot of it on our show … you’re on my bucket list because I wanted to talk to you because I’m so fascinated about you.”
The ‘Rocket Man’ singer also praised The Weeknd’s ‘After Hours’ and Perfume Genius’ ‘Set My Heart On Fire Immediately’, but insisted that ‘SAWAYAMA’ is “the strongest album of the year by far”.
Elton also said that he could see Queen of Pop Madonna releasing the album’s track ‘Bad Friend’.
He added: “It encompasses so many styles of music. ‘Bad Friend’, for example, is a song that Madonna would die for.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Chesney Hawkes has “some songs” for Adele.
The ‘One And Only’ hitmaker has penned tracks for other artists and he admitted he would love the ‘Hello’ singer to record one of his pieces.
He cheekily told the Metro newspaper’s Sixty Seconds column: “Adele, if you’re listening, I’ve got some songs for you!”
The UK-born pop star now lives in Los Angeles, and he admitted his big move to the United States led to some amazing experiences.
He said: “In New York I did CBGBs and all those places Blondie, Lou Reed and The Velvet Underground had done.
“It was the same in LA – I did Whisky A Go Go, The Viper Room and The Rainbow. We would bump into people like Lemmy from Motorhead, who came to a gig.”
The 50-year-old star revealed he always made sure to visit the ‘Ace of Spades’ legend whenever he was in town.
He added: “He literally lived at this one table at The Rainbow. I used to do a pilgrimage to see Lemmy every time I came to LA.
“There were always Jagermeisters. It’s not the same without him there now.”
Meanwhile, Chesney admitted he learned a lot from his big move, having been a “huge f****** pop star” just a few years earlier.
By the time he arrived in the US, he was living a very different life.
He explained: “It was humbling. You’ve got to remember that four years before, I was a huge f****** pop star.
“Then there I was in New York and LA, four of us in a one-bedroom place. Our equipment was s***. The van that we had would break down all the time.
“I remember pushing it. There was a lot of drinking going on. I did a gig in drag.”

The country trio – comprising Natalie Maines and siblings Martie Maguire and Emily Strayer – shortened the moniker in response to the killing of George Floyd at the hands of police in 2020.
And they are poised to make their live comeback with ‘The Chicks Tour’ in North America this summer.
Patty Griffin and Jenny Lewis will open for the trio.
The group intended to tour their 2020 LP, ‘Gaslighter’, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the shows were unable to take place.
The run kicks off on June 14 in St. Louis and concludes on August 13 in Washington state.
‘Gaslighter’ marked the ‘Wide Open Spaces’ hitmakers’ first album in 14 years, while their last tour was in 2017.
The band previously insisted they had wanted to drop Dixie from their name for several years.
They weren’t all thrilled by their name at the start of their career and they more seriously considered a change following the backlash they experienced over their comments about then-US President George W. Bush in 2003.
Natalie said: “The other girls never liked the name. When I joined, we discussed changing it but I thought it was the best thing about them . . .  ‘Nooo, Dixie Chicks is great!’ I said.
“But after the Bush controversy, I wanted to change it too because I felt people had misunderstood who we were as people.
“Once this racist connotation dawned on me, it felt icky and I didn’t like it. I mean, none of us did!”
The “point of no return” for the trio came when NASCAR banned the Confederate flag – which represented the Southern states below the Mason-Dixon Line during the American Civil War – from their events following the wave of Black Lives Matter protests sparked by George’s death.
Natalie added: “We tried calling ourselves DCX and we always referred to ourselves as the Chicks but for me the point of no return, ‘Oh my gosh we’re doing this’, came when NASCAR banned the Dixie flag.
“Could we really defend the word Dixie? No, we had to lose it.
“Though there wasn’t any racist intention behind our name, it came from a historically hateful and negative place.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Maneskin are unable to share any updates on their rescheduled European tour amid “this moment of tension” for the world.
The Italian rockers – who won ‘The Eurovision Song Contest’ last year – had hoped they could provide their fans with an update by March 1, but in light of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, they do not feel now is the time to share the new dates for the run.
In a Twitter statement, the band said: “Despite our desire to give you updates regarding the European and Italian tour by March the 1st, we are not able to define and share the new dates in this moment of tension for Europe and for the whole world. We are closer than ever to all the people plagued by war right now.”
The ‘I Wanna Be Your Slave’ hitmakers will provide an update as soon as there is “peace”.
In a typed-out note to fans, they continued: “Our solidarity goes to all those who are suffering from the conflict in Ukraine and we hope that the ongoing violence will see an end.
“Together with this hope we also have that of being able to update you as soon as possible, in times of peace. We thank you for your great patience and understanding, as always.
“We are closer than ever and have great hope for the future.”
The group postponed their shows due to venue issues amid the COVID-19 pandemic and were due to kick off the run in London on February 6.
Maneskin’s announcement comes after Russia was banned from this year’s ‘Eurovision Song Contest’.
The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) – which produces the event – announced the decision to ban Russia from the show, saying it could bring the competition into disrepute “in light of the unprecedented crisis in Ukraine”.
In a statement, the EBU said: “The decision reflects concern that, in light of the unprecedented crisis in Ukraine, the inclusion of a Russian entry in this year’s Contest would bring the competition into disrepute.
“Before making this decision the EBU took time to consult widely among its membership.
“The EBU is an apolitical member organisation of broadcasters committed to upholding the values of public service.”
The organisation explained that it’s determined to protect the “values” of the event, which is due to be held in Turin, Italy, in May.
The statement explained: “We remain dedicated to protecting the values of a cultural competition which promotes international exchange and understanding, brings audiences together, celebrates diversity through music and unites Europe on one stage.”
The EBU had initially insisted the country would still be able to compete at Eurovision.
However, Ukraine’s state broadcaster, UA:PBC, called for Russia to be suspended from the event.
The broadcaster described their Russian counterparts as a “mouthpiece for the Kremlin and a key tool of political propaganda”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Mikey Graham has dashed hopes of a Boyzone reunion.
The 49-year-old singer has claimed bandmate Ronan Keating, 44, “decided” the boy band was no more in 2019.
Mikey has just become a grandfather for the first time after his 25-year-old daughter Hannah gave birth to a little girl named Bonnie last month, and when one fan asked if he will be “the only grandfather on tour” if the ‘No Matter What’ hitmakers do a 30th anniversary tour in 2023, he alleged that it’s Ronan who doesn’t want the band to perform again.
One fan tweeted: “if boyzone do reform for a 30th anniversary tour will you be the only grandfather on tour and congratulations on becoming a grandad (sic),” to which Mikey replied: “Aw thank you so much. Don’t mean to rain on your parade but Ronan decided boyzone was finished in 2019 so I don’t think there will be any more BZ gigs.”
However, Mikey would love to do some shows with his bandmates – also including Shane Lynch, 45, and Keith Duffy, 47 – again.
He concluded: “Sorry folks. I’d love to do them. (sic)”
The ‘Love Me For a Reason’ hitmakers called time on their 25-year career following a final tour in 2019.
Ronan – who has had a successful solo career with hits including ‘Life Is A Rollercoaster’ and ‘If Tomorrow Never Comes’ – previously ruled out a reunion.
Speaking in 2018, he said: “Boyzone has a Whatsapp group but it changes, because people leave all the time.
“It’s the story of a boyband isn’t it, people leave. Then we start a new one, and then they come back, then someone else leaves.
“The Boyzone Whatsapp group changes monthly – the name, the title, the people – but it exists.
“There’s plans for another Boyzone Whatsapp group, but no reunion.”
The closest fans will get to a Boyzone reunion is seeing Keith and former Westlife singer Brian McFadden, 41, perform as BoyzLife.
The duo just announced their second album, ‘Old School’, which is released on May 6.
After releasing covers of hits by their respective boy bands accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra on their debut studio album ‘Strings Attached’ in 2020, the follow-up is set to feature original material by the pair.
In a statement, Brian said: “Keith and I grew up in the 80s and 90s, the sound of that era is what made us want to be musicians in the first place.
“When we first started talking about making this record as Boyzlife’s first studio album, we naturally talked about those influences a lot and have loved bringing these familiar sounds into our studio sessions and onto this record.
“Working with our producer Jackson has been an extremely creative process, we went into the studio with lyrics ideas, worked together to find a melodic sound to go with the lyrics and built the songs from there.
“Some things just fit into place and others get chopped and changed until we all agree we are on the right track. We are very excited about this album and can’t wait for people to hear it.”
Boyzlife will hit the road for the ‘Old School Tour’ later this year, kicking off in Liverpool on September 26.
