OHMYGOSSIP — Donald Glover has been working on new Childish Gambino music.
The 38-year-old actor and rapper’s last studio album under the moniker was 2020’s ‘3.15.20’, and in between his acting gigs, the ‘Atlanta’ star has found the time to work on lots of new material.
When asked by the host on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ if he’s working on a follow-up LP, he quipped: “Uh, no.”
He then teased: “I’m making a lot of music. I really love doing it. I’ve made a bunch of it. It’s just really about how to experience it at this point.”
Donald also admitted it’s become harder to schedule time for the studio since becoming a father, but revealed he has a space, which he refers to as an “art farm”, where he can work in peace.
The ‘This Is America’ hitmaker – who has three young sons with Michelle White – said: “It used to just flow, but now I have kids. Nothing flows anymore. […] Nothing’s as easy as it used to be. So I do block off time now because I’m like, ‘Oh, I want to be here for them at this time, and I want to make sure I see his game, and I want to make…’ So that takes a lot of scheduling. But I have this kind of farm, I call it, where it’s like an art farm, where I just like… when I go there, then I get to be as ADD as I want.”
Meanwhile, Donald previously confessed he avoided the internet after the release of 2018’s ‘This Is America’.
He explained: “Some friends have sent a couple [of the pieces], but, for real, I haven’t been on the Internet since [it came out]. It’s bad for me. I’m really sensitive. I see one negative thing, and I track that person down. I go to their Instagram and be like, ‘You’re not so great. That baby’s not even that cute!'”
The song won Record of the Year and Song of the Year at the Grammys, with Gambino becoming the first rap artist to win both accolades.

OHMYGOSSIP — John Lydon does not approve of the upcoming Sex Pistols compilation.
This week, Universal Music Group announced a 20-track collection, dubbed ‘The Original Songs’, is being released as a companion to the Disney+ series ‘Pistol’, which the former frontman – who used the stage moniker Johnny Rotten during his tenure in the iconic punk rock group – took his bandmates to court over the use of their songs in the drama.
And now, the 66-year-old rocker has issued a statement confirming he “does not endorse or support” the release.
The Facebook post read: “Universal Music Group have announced the release of a new Sex Pistols compilation entitled ‘The Original Recordings’.
“For the avoidance of any doubt, John Lydon has not approved this compilation and does not endorse or support it. He has not approved the artwork or tracklisting.
“He and his team were not involved in producing this compilation and consider it substandard compared to previous Universal releases since 2012.”
In celebration of Danny Boyle’s six-episode limited series on the streaming service, the notorious punk rockers are releasing 20 of their recordings from 1976 to 1978 for the first time in more than two decades on May 27.
The release includes the hits from 1977’s highly influential ‘Never Mind The B*******’ LP; ‘God Save The Queen’, Anarchy in the UK’, ‘Pretty Vacant’, and ‘Holidays in the Sun’.
Last year, Lydon lost a High Court battle after he claimed his former bandmates, Steve Jones and Paul Cook, could not use the tracks without his consent, however, the pair argued that an agreement formed in 1998 – a band member agreement (BMA) – means that a majority basis settles any decisions regarding licensing of Sex Pistols music.
And in a ruling, it was decided that they were entitled to invoke majority voting rules against the singer in relation to the use of the material in the series, under the terms of that longstanding band member agreement.
In response, Lydon called his ex-bandmates “greedy and nasty”.
‘Pistol’ is released on May 31.

OHMYGOSSIP — The Rolling Stones’ 60th anniversary will be marked by the BBC with a new four-part film series.
The broadcaster has announced ‘My Life as a Rolling Stone’, which will premiere on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer this summer.
Each member of the iconic rock ‘n’ roll band – Sir Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, and the late Charlie Watts – will have their own hour-long episode, featuring new interviews with the band members and tributes to the legendary sticksman.
A press release states that: “It tells the story of one of the world’s greatest rock ‘n’ roll bands in a way that has never been done before – by viewing the band through the musical lens of each member, delving deep into their personalities, passions and memories from the past sixty years. Four hour-long films, each an intimate portrait of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts, show how these individual musical geniuses came together to make the music that has provided the soundtrack to the lives of millions.”
Fans can also expect commentary from the likes of soul star P.P. Arnold, The Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde, Guns N’ Roses axe-slayer Slash, Sir Rod Stewart, Tina Turner and Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler.
There will be “unseen footage and exclusive stories from Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood interwoven with new and archive interviews and performance.”
As well as tributes to Charlie, who passed away aged 80 in August 2021, from his bandmates and peers, there will also be archive interviews with the musician.
The series is helmed by award-winning filmmakers Oliver Murray and Clare Tavernor.

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Goss has announced a one-off show at the iconic London Palladium.
Following the release of his latest solo album, ‘The Beautiful Unknown’, last week, the Bros star will return to the legendary venue on April 23 for a special performance.
The 53-year-old star last performed at the Palladium in 2018.
Meanwhile, Matt – who shot to fame in the 1980s alongside his brother Luke Goss and friend Craig Logan in Bros – recently shared his colossal ambitions for this new chapter in his career.
He said: “I talk to people like yourself and then travel the world – to see Tokyo, Germany, France, Italy, Spain…and the conduit [for these shows] absolutely has to be new music. I want to compete with Ed Sheeran, I want to compete with The Weeknd, I want to compete with Robbie Williams … everyone. I made this record knowing 100 per cent that we can do that.”
Matt worked with songwriters to the stars on his follow-up to 2013’s ‘Life You Imagine’ and was inspired by artists like ‘Blinding Lights’ hitmaker The Weeknd to create the contemporary sound.
He said: “The fact is that everyone on this record has won multiple Grammys – they’ve won BRITs. People like that don’t get involved in your music unless they really feel strongly about it. I feel excited and I hope the industry sees what I’m doing. I want to be one of the main players. No one can say this isn’t a contemporary record.”
Bros were most famous for their hit single ‘When Will I Be Famous?’ and Matt believes it’s “more relevant” now than when they released it in 1987.
He said: “I’m one of the people that helped create those sounds. I think ‘When Will I Be Famous?’ is more relevant now than when we released it. We have entered into a fame-based culture; you can be famous for many reasons now. You can be an influencer, but can you get 45,000 people to turn up at The O2? I find it so interesting. Maybe I’m old school, but I like a bit of blood sweat and tears.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Shawn Mendes is back with his new single, ‘When You’re Gone’.
The Canadian pop superstar has released his first new music of 2022, along with a music video featuring footage of him recording and rehearsing the song in Toronto, and the debut performance of the song at SXSW in Austin, Texas.
On the breakup ballad, he belts: “I don’t wanna move on/I don’t wanna know what it’s like when you’re gone for good.”
The track follows December’s ‘It’ll Be Okay’, and both songs were penned after the singer’s split with Camila Cabello.
Shawn, 23, recently admitted he “hates being alone” following their breakup.
The ‘Stitches’ singer and ‘Havana’ hitmaker, 25, dated for over two years until November 2021, and he confessed it’s hard getting used to the “reality” of being single.
Speaking in a video posted to Instagram, this month he said: “When you’re breaking up with someone and you think it’s the right thing, you don’t realise all the s*** that comes after. I think that’s the reality that kind of hit me. It’s like, ‘Oh, I’m on my own. Now I feel like finally, like, I’m actually on my own, and I hate that. That’s my reality, you know? OHMYGOSSIP — Dance music legend Paul Oakenfold is releasing a memoir.
The ‘Starry Eyed Surprise’ hitmaker’s tome, ‘Ready Steady Go: My Unstoppable Journey in Dance’, is set to be released by publisher Welbeck in August 2020, and will chronicle the world-renowned DJ’s journey to becoming a global trendsetter in dance music.
A blurb reads: “‘Ready Steady Go’ follows Paul’s journey from his musical baptism in 1980s New York and seminal club nights in London to starting one of the longest-running dance record labels and a legendary trip to Ibiza that introduced him to trance and changed the face of dance music forever.
“In this personal memoir, Paul delves into the details of living with dyslexia and how this has shaped his creative choices as a DJ and producer.”
The 58-year-old trance icon – who has released more than 100 remixes for the likes of Madonna, Britney Spears, The Rolling Stones, U2, and late King of Pop Michael Jackson – commented: “In a career like mine, you don’t get many chances to stop and reflect on what you’ve achieved. Writing this book has given me the opportunity to reminisce on the many wild moments in my career, from DJ-ing at Stonehenge and the base camp of Mount Everest, to working with legends like Madonna, U2, and many more, to running my own record label.”
The personal autobiography will also see Oakenfold open up about his dyslexia and how he owes his career to the learning disability.

That’s something that set me on a creative path that I owe a lot of my career to. I feel privileged to share my life stories with you, and there’s many more already in the making for the next memoir!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack White hates being branded “a rocker”.
The ‘Steady as She Goes’ hitmaker – who is best known for fronting The White Stripes and The Raconteurs – has two very different solo albums out this year, the heavy ‘Fear of the Dawn’ and the acoustic ‘Entering Heaven Alive’, and he admitted he finds it frustrating when people try to pigeonhole his sound.
He told The Sun newspaper: “Nobody likes to be labelled. If I see an article written about me that says ‘rocker Jack White’, I don’t like it. But I do get why someone might say it.
“If they say, ‘White Stripe Jack White’ because they only know me from that, I also understand that perfectly. But I’m left thinking, ‘I’m not just the guy from The White Stripes’.
“People have said I’m ‘the Willy Wonka of music’. Again, I understand it. But the words just sound so silly!”
When he started work last year, Jack had no intention of recording two albums but soon realised they could be divided.
He said: “I had no intention of doing two. I was just writing songs and they started jumping into different shoeboxes.
“It was like having playlists on my computer with quieter songs in one and heavier songs in the other.”
Unlike many artists, the 46-year-old singer didn’t use the COVID-19 pandemic to work on new music because it felt “a bit strange” not being able to tour a record.
He said: “Only at the beginning of winter did I write a couple of acoustic songs — but that was it
“It felt as if the pandemic could go on for years so I told myself, ‘If I’m not going to tour, then releasing an album is a bit strange’. I didn’t want to put something out that just disappears into mist.
“So I decided not to bother and work on other creative things. I knew I could always come back to music.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lewis Capaldi is working with Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid on his new album.
The Scottish superstar has been co-writing with a number of famous stars, including Bastille’s Dan Smith, OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder and JC Stewart, for his follow-up to his record-breaking 2019 debut album, ‘Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent’.
And now it’s been revealed that the Irish songwriter, who is known for co-writing tunes for pal Ed Sheeran and the likes of Robbie Williams and Alicia Keys, is on board too.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Lewis understands people are expecting big things from his second record — and he has put so much hard work into it.
“He is an amazing songwriter on his own but getting people like Johnny involved too has taken things to the next level.
“Lewis has written so many songs that it has just been hard to whittle it down to a tracklist for the album. But it’s all coming together now and there’s not long to wait.”
Dan – who has also been penning songs for YUNGBLUD’s new record – recently admitted writing with Lewis has been the highlight, and he loves getting to “hang out” with his pal.
He said: “I spent a few days doing some writing with Lewis. I know that he’s taking his time and wants to get it right.
“It was lovely to see him and he’s as f****** hilarious as ever – never turn down the chance to hang out with Lewis.”
Ryan – who has worked on hits for Adele and Beyonce – said: “I was playing the songs an hour ago in the car and it’s just like, goosebumps! The guy could sing a random song in Spanish and it would still give me goosebumps. He’s so good.”
As for JC, he already penned the track ‘Hollywood’ on Lewis’ first album.
He said: “We’ve written a few songs in the last year or so. But first and foremost we’re mates, so we keep it there.”
Lewis’ debut record – which featured the hit singles ‘Someone You Loved’ and ‘Before You Go’ – spent 36 weeks in the Top 10, including 10 weeks at No1, and became the year’s best-selling album in the UK.

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher has released his eagerly-awaited new single, ‘C’Mon You Know’.
The 49-year-old rocker has shared the title track from his upcoming third solo album, which he has described as the “sound of the summer”.
Backed by gospel singers and a blistering beat, the track is in the vein of ‘I’ve All I Need’ from the former Oasis frontman’s 2017 debut studio album, ‘As You Were’.
The ‘Wall of Glass’ hitmaker is poised to release a new music video for the track, after he filmed on the rooftop of The Midland Hotel in his home city of Manchester last month.
Fans who attended Liam’s concert for the Teenage Cancer Trust at The Royal Albert Hall in London last week got to hear the track live for the first time.
The latest single follows ‘Everything’s Electric’, which was co-written by Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl.
The rock ‘n’ roll star has worked with a range of people – including regular collaborators Andrew Wyatt and Greg Kurstin, as well as Nick Zinner of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig – on ‘C’Mon You Know’ and he admitted fans may be surprised by the experimental nature of some of the tracks, but he’s ready with excuses if it proves to be unpopular.
He said: “It’s a bit peculiar in places, which is good: 80 per cent madness and 20 per cent classic.
“If you’re going to start doing stuff like that on your third album, it helps if there’s a bit of Covid about.
“Because if it doesn’t take off, and people go, ‘I’m not sure about this, it’s a bit weird,’ we can blame it on the virus and go back to the classic stuff.”
A week after the album is released in May, Liam will headline two sold-out shows at Knebworth Park in Hertfordshire, the site of his former band’s legendary gigs in 1996 and he’s expecting the concerts will annoy his estranged brother and former bandmate, Noel Gallagher.
He said: “Look, it’s got to, hasn’t it? I’m sure deep down he’s happy, he’s not all bad. But there’s going to be a bit of ‘the f*****’s out and about again’.
“If he was doing Knebworth I’d be livid. I don’t care how much money you’ve got, how many houses you’ve got, how many celebrity mates, when you get home you’d be sitting there thinking ‘f***er’. But the geezer’s got many faces, so he can hide behind one of them.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Harry Styles has revealed his goddaughter, Ruby Winston, is the voice featured on his latest track, ‘As It Was’.
The ‘Falling’ hitmaker has released the first track from his upcoming third solo album, ‘Harry’s House’, and revealed his five-year-old goddaughter provided the sweet intro.
Ruby – whose father is producer Ben Winston, who is known for collaborating with One Direction – says at the start of the song: “Come on, Harry, we want to say goodnight to you!”
The 28-year-old pop star shared a sweet story of how Ruby would call him before bed every night, and was upset when he missed the call one evening.
Speaking to Zoe Ball on BBC Radio 2’s ‘The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show’ on Friday morning (01.04.22), the ‘Kiwi’ singer revealed: “The voice at the start is my goddaughter, who was in a long pattern of calling me every night before bed and I missed it one night and she let me know that she wasn’t happy about it.
“So yeah, I dug it out one day when I was in the studio, put it at the start of the song.
“And I loved it so it stuck and I hope when she’s older she will enjoy looking back on [it].”
Elsewhere, the ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ star admitted he has achieved everything he’s ever wanted to achieve on his follow-up to 2019’s ‘Fine Line’, and anything he does after that will be a “bonus”.
He said: “I feel very much like I’ve kind of achieved everything I want to achieve with this album already.
“So anything from this point on just feels very exciting and like a bonus.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Thomas Rhett is hoping to follow up his Katy Perry duet with a Niall Horan collaboration.
The country-pop star has released his new album, ‘Where We Started’, which features the pop icon on the album’s title track.
And Thomas is hoping he and his pal Niall, 28, who have written together “a couple of times”, can find the time to record a hit together.
He said: “I feel like every time me and Niall are together we threaten to do some sort of collaboration.
“We have written a couple of times but I don’t think we have written the song yet for us to do.
“We stay in touch, especially when he’s in town. He’s just a good buddy. I love Niall and his solo projects.
“It would be a lot of fun to just find a week and be like, ‘We’re going here and we’re going to write and whatever the best one is, we’re going to do it together’.
“I can see there being a me and Niall collaboration in the next couple of years.”
The 32-year-old singer – who has four daughters with wife Lauren Akins – admitted he found it “overwhelming” hearing Katy, 37, on his song.
On how the duet came about, he added to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “We had never met until she said, ‘I love this song, how can I be part of it?’
“We exchanged phone numbers and the next thing you know I’m FaceTiming Katy Perry in my kitchen and my wife’s like, ‘Who’re you talking to?’ I was like, ‘Just Katy, no big deal’.
“Hearing her on this track was overwhelming. Like, ‘Good Lord, you can freaking sing!’.
“To be able to work with someone who is an icon, who put a stamp on a period of music and changed pop music when she first came out, I was honoured.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Royal Blood have postponed the remaining dates of their tour after vocalist Mike Kerr caught COVID-19.
The 31-year-old frontman – who is joined by drummer Ben Thatcher, 34, in the rock duo – is unable to “sing a single note” after coming down with coronavirus, and is “heartbroken” to have to push back the arena gigs.
The ‘Trouble’s Coming’ hitmakers have been forced to delay their shows in Leeds, Manchester and Glasgow over the next three nights.
In a social media statement, Mike said: “I’m heartbroken to write this, but despite being fully protected and taking precautions, I have tested positive for COVID following last night’s show at The O2 Arena.
This morning I’ve woken up to discover I have lost my voice. Unfortunately, this isn’t something I can ‘power through’, I currently cannot sing a single note. My voice is gone.
I’m absolutely gutted. We were having the time of our lives up there, and your support and passion is not taken for granted for one second.”
Royal Blood promised to reschedule the concerts “as soon as possible”.
He concluded: “I’m so sorry to advise that I cannot continue the tour and want to apologise for the huge disappointment and inconvenience this will cause you all. We will work as hard as we can to reschedule the shows for as soon as possible.

OHMYGOSSIP — Doja Cat has insisted she has “s***” to do before she quits music.
The ‘Say So’ hitmaker has reassured fans that she will still be supporting The Weeknd on his ‘After Hours til Dawn Stadium Tour’, but she is “bailing out” after that run and other commitments.
She tweeted: “for those who are seeing me at the after hours tour, i’m not bailing. But me not bailing doesn’t mean my a** isn’t gonna disappear right after. i still got s*** i gotta do. and a lot of y’all think cuz i post a f***** picture it means i’m not out. Pic doesn’t = music GOOFY. (sic)”
Doja added: “so yes that still means i got videos to film i got performances to do and I got content to drop so i’m pooping it out and dippin. i ain’t gone yet. (sic)”
The ‘Woman’ hitmaker told fans she was quitting her career on Twitter last week, and later apologised for her outbursts on the micro-blogging site, which prompted Florida’s MIX 105.1 radio station to tweet: “Ok so maybe @DojaCat isn’t retiring. @PikeTaylorRadio,” alongside an article about the apology.
However, Doja re-tweeted the post and insisted: “yes the f*** I am.”
The Grammy nominee is retiring from the music business after coming under fire from some fans in Paraguay, which prompted her to rant and apologise for not giving a “good enough show” in Brazil.
Following this, she changed her Twitter name to “i quit”.
Screenshots from the deleted tweet – which were posted online – showed Doja responding to fans who were upset about standing in the rain to meet her after the show was cancelled due to a storm.
In reply, Doja wrote: “This s*** ain’t for me so I’m out. Y’all take care.”
She continued: “There was a storm in Paraguay, the show got canceled. When I left the next morning, there wasn’t one person outside the hotel waiting for me. Let that sink in …I regret spending all the time I did getting ready that day for the show I’ve been busting my a** every day to put on for you but god bless. (sic)”
In another deleted tweet, Doja said “music is dead” and requested people to unfollow her.
She wrote: “It’s gone and I don’t give a f*** anymore. “I f***** quit, I can’t wait to f***** disappear and I don’t need you to believe in me anymore. Everything is dead to me, music is dead, and I’m a f***** fool for ever thinking I was made for this is a f***** nightmare. Unfollow me.”
Later, Doja said: “I don’t think I gave Brazil a good enough show tonight at all and I’m sorry for that but thank you guys for coming out I f****** love you and thank god we got another show tomorrow I promise I’ll do better. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Pusha-T and Pharrell Williams watched ‘Joker’ for musical inspiration.
The ‘If You Know You’ know hitmaker brought in his friend to executive produce his upcoming album and he admitted working with the ‘Happy’ singer is an intense process, so they had to take regular breaks but even when they weren’t officially working, they still found benefits to their downtime.
Pusha told Complex magazine: “Sometimes, I’m just like, ‘Man, alright, let’s go ride a bike or play pool.’
“[Watching ‘Joker’] was helpful. What happened was, we would mute [the movie], and we’d be playing the music or the beat while it’s muted. You could see the motion and we’d be like, ‘Oh, that’s a marriage right there.’”
The pair would start their sessions by going through Pharrell’s music library while the producer focused on the composition of each of his pal’s songs.
Pusha laughed: “I’m trying to get to the bottom of the barrel of some street s***, and I’ve got to go through an orchestra. But you’ve got to do it. You’ve got to let him go through his process.”
Pharrell had offended Pusha when he branded him a “mixtape rapper” after hearing an early cut of ‘Hear Me Clearly’.
The rapper recalled: “[Pharrell said] ‘It’s cool, but I don’t want you to be a mixtape rapper for the rest of your life. He was being snide and nasty.
“He knows that my heart is mixtape rap. I only like mixtape verses actually.
“I’ve known him my whole life, and there was a time in which we both had the same taste in mixtape verses. And that’s a time that I try to get him to revisit a lot, in dealing with me. I particularly believe that our success and our greatness is when we’re in those pockets.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Shawn Mendes has “no idea” what his new album will sound like.
The 23-year-old singer has just released a new single, ‘When You’re Gone’ but he’s urged fans not to “worry” about the direction he’ll take on the follow-up to 2020’s ‘Wonder’ because he simply doesn’t know until he starts working so doesn’t want to offer any “false expectations” by talking about the record.
Discussing his next album, he told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I think people should just take it as it comes and not worry too much about what it will be. That’s what I’m trying to do, is not get caught up in what I should be and just be excited about what I am in the moment.
“I have no idea how music is gonna sound that I make a month from now versus today. I don’t wanna put any false expectations out there, so take it as it comes and I hope you enjoy it whatever it is. I’m definitely just trying to do whatever feels good and whatever feels authentic.”
For the video to ‘When You’re Gone’, Shawn performed the track to a crowd of fans, which was “really important” for him to do after COVID-19 forced such a long break from singing live.
He said: “I just wanted to get back to a place where people were feeling the musicianship of me. I feel so excited about tour, and I wanted that same excitement about tour to come across in this music video for people.”
The ‘Stitches’ hitmaker is preparing to kick off his ‘Wonder’ world tour and he can’t wait because performing live is one of his favourite things about his career.
He said: “Tour is this one half of the picture with my career and what I’m so in love with – it’s touring and it’s making music. When I’m left with just one, there’s always this feeling of just emptiness.
“When I got back on stage, I really felt like this hole was filled again. This was like, ‘Oh, I forgot this was truly what I live for. This is something that makes me feel electric. This really is so special to me.’ I’m just really excited for that to happen again, ’cause I think everybody needs that.”
And Shawn loves the energy and “human experience” of concerts.
He said: “It’s where it feels like you and 10,000 other people are all going through something similar at the same time.
“If you ever stand in an arena, you can just feel your energy rise and your heart start to beat faster.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Brian May feels “so frustrated” by Taylor Hawkins’ death.
The 74-year-old Queen guitarist was good friends with the late Foo Fighters drummer – who passed away on 25 December aged just 50 – and admitted it “feels all wrong” for the musician to have lost his life at such a relatively young age and there’s a part of him that hopes speaking about the tragedy enough would bring his pal back to life.
He said: “Taylor wasn’t even my generation. I think of him as a boy — same as I saw George Michael as a boy — to lose them feels all wrong. It makes you feel so frustrated. It makes you feel like you want to negotiate with death. It makes you feel like if you looked at it enough, if you talk about it enough, if you analyse it enough then maybe you can bring him back, but of course, that’s just not the way it all works.”
Taylor was a huge Queen fan, and Brian admitted he was “the best publicist for Queen ever”.
He added: “He’s been so good for our image! Where he kind of regarded us as cool – which at the time a lot of people didn’t…
“We instantly bonded because Taylor and Pat Smear were the most informed Queen fans, they knew more about us than we did. We were just shocked to find out how much they felt about us.”
The ‘I Want To Break Free’ rocker had spoken to Taylor just a week before he died after complaining of chest pains at his hotel in Colombia.
Speaking on the ‘Debatable’ show on SiriusXM, Brian said: “Taylor was very close to [Queen], he’s been in my studio a few of times. In my life, I talk to him often. I talked to him just a week ago from when we lost him.
“We talk about stuff, talking about Dave [Grohl], about what life is like, his joys, frustrations, being in Foo Fighters.”
