OHMYGOSSIP — The Mercury Prize award ceremony will take place in September 2022.
The annual event – which honours British and Irish music acts and and ultimately crowns the best album released in the United Kingdom – has set a date for Thursday 8 September 2022 and will take place at the Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith.
A shortlist of 12 ‘Albums of the Year’ is set to be be announced on 28 July 2022 and overall coverage of the event will be provided by broadcast partner BBC Music.
The new sponsor of the prestigious award is Europe’s largest multimorbidity app company FREE NOW and frequent collaborators Bowers Wilkins will continue to provide sound support for the event.
A statement said: “FREE NOW, Europe’s number 1 Mobility Super App, with the largest vehicle choice for consumers across Europe, is the new headline sponsor of the Mercury Prize, a deal brokered by big group. The sponsorship is part of a multi-year commitment from FREE NOW to support British music. Last year’s winner was Indie pop artist Arlo Parks, who scooped up the accolade for her debut album ‘Collapsed in Sunbeams,’ and other notable winners over the ceremony’s 30-year history include rock band Suede for their self-titled debut album back in 1993 and the Arctic Monkeys for their 2006 album ‘Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not.’

OHMYGOSSIP — AJ Tracey is to headline MLB Home Run Derby X at London Crystal Palace Park.
The 28-year-old rapper – whose real name is Ché Wolton Grant – will take to the stage at the global baseball tour when it stops at the London stadium on Saturday 09 July.
In a statement, he said: “London never sleeps, I love it. I’m from here, I grew up here, it’s like performing in my back garden. It’s exciting, multi-cultural, has energy, it’s busy and never quiet. My sets always bring the noise and I’m gassed to bring baseball culture to a new crowd. It’ll be clash of music, sports, big hits, mad catches. Big show this summer, Crystal Palace Park, it’s due to be lit. Home Run Derby X – we’re gonna turn up.”
The ‘Bringing it Back’ hitmaker received critical acclaim for his chart-topping second album ‘Flu Game’ back in 2021 and the performance will follow on from his star turn during his main stage performance at the Reading and Leeds Festival last year.
The news comes just hours after the BRIT Award nominee teased that something big was planned with a rap video on Twitter.

OHMYGOSSIP — Lizzo has announced a new album.
The 33-year-old pop star – who achieved global stardom with her third studio album and major label debut ‘Cuz I Love You’ back in 2019 – is set to release her fourth record ‘Special’ later this year.
Alongside an in image of the black-and-white album cover, Lizzo wrote on Instagram: “SPECIAL. THE ALBUM. JULY 15.”
The Grammy Award-winning star made the announcement just hours after releasing the music video for lead single and brand new song ‘About Damn Time’, and claimed that both the new song and album could “lead to so many conversations” in a post-pandemic world as she proclaimed that she had made the “song of the summer.”
She said: “[My music] can lead to so many conversations. It’s about damn time I feel better, it’s about damn time we get out this pandemic. There’s so many things. It’s about damn time we popped the champagne. It’s about damn time the tequila got here. I made the song of the summer with ‘About Damn Time’. I’m in my bag, and my bag is music. I’m good at music. It’s what I do.”
The ‘Truth Hurts’ hitmaker – whose real name is Melissa Jefferson – went on to explain that her new era of music is going “speak for itself” and that in writing it she wanted to turn her “fear into love.”
Speaking to Zane Lowe on ‘New Music Daily’ on Apple Music 1, she said: “I think that the music really is going to speak for itself. I’m writing songs about love from every direction, and I hope that I can turn a little bit of the fear that’s been running rampant in this world, energetically into love. That’s the point. I had a lot of fear, and I had to do the work on myself, and this music is some of that work in turning that fear into love.”
‘Special’ is set for release on July 15 2022.

OHMYGOSSIP — Grey Daze have announced a new album.
The rock band – which is best known for kickstarting the career of tragic Linkin Park star Chester Bennington, who took his own life at the age of 41 back in 2017 – are set to release the follow up to their 2020 album ‘Amends’, which used Chester’s vocals over new instrumentation as they continue to deal with the grief of their former bandmate.
‘The Phoenix’ is a fiery, newly-recorded, 10-song collection fulfils the surviving band members’ pledge to Bennington.
Drummer Sean Dowdell said: “[Our last album] ‘Amends’ was more emotional and reflective. We felt sad when we were writing it. Now that we’re a couple of years removed, it’s very clear what we were going through. We were at a different stage of grief. We went through the shock and the sadness. Now, we’re back to gratitude. ”
The new album also sees contributions from Dave Navarro, Richard Patrick and Sean went on to explain that the upcoming album is a “celebration” of their friend and noted fans that they will “love” the record if they remember Chester’s iconic scream.
He added: “So, The Phoenix is more of a celebration of our friend, his talent, and the music. It captures Chester’s angst and energy that people fell in love with. It’s much more aggressive. If you love Chester’s scream, you’ll love this record.”
Alongside the album, Grey Daze – who burst onto the music scene back in 1994 to 1997 and released two albums until Chester went on to huge success with the ‘One Step Closer’ rockers – have released a new recording of their song ‘Saturation (Strange Love)’, which Sean says will come as a “surprise ” to fans of the tragic star.
He said: “It’s going to surprise a lot of people because it gets back to Chester’s core. One of the things that people love about him was his unique ability to scream in key… and this song brings you back to everything you love about that scream. You feel that angst and raw emotion he brought to everything he did.”
‘Saturation (Strange Love)’ is available to stream today (15.04.22), while ‘The Phoenix’ is set for worldwide release on CD and all streaming platforms on 17 June.

OHMYGOSSIP — Members of Nirvana, Soundgarden and Pearl Jam have formed a supergroup called 3rd Secret.
Former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic, Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayil and Pearl Jam and Soundgarden drummer Matt Cameron lead the lineup, with vocals from Krist’s Giants In The Trees bandmate Jillian Raye and Jennifer Johnson.
Guitarist Jon ‘Bubba’ Dupree – who was in another metal supergroup called Hater with sticksman Matt – is also a member.
The outfit of Seattle’s finest musicians released a surprise 11-track self-titled album mixed by Nirvana and Soundgarden studio wizard Jack Endino.
Several other musicians also contributed.
Currently, it’s only available to stream on Spotify, Amazon Music and YouTube.
Krist teased the project in a since-deleted tweet in February, in which he said he was “really busy trying to finish a record” and “in the middle of some hangups”.
Meanwhile, Krist previously mocked fans who slammed his Nirvana reunion with Dave Grohl and Pat Smear.
Th Grunge legends’ bassist joined his former bandmates on stage during Foo Fighters’ Seattle concert in 2018, and performed The Vaselines’ ‘Molly’s Lips’ – which the ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ rockers covered a number of times – but fans claimed it wasn’t a full reunion.
After reading comments suggesting that it needed late front man Kurt Cobain – who took his own life in 1994 – Krist took to social media to sarcastically address the backlash.
He tweeted: “We tried to get a hold of him for this gig — as many times as we tried to contact Kurt, we couldn’t get through. The phone just kept ringing ringing.
“Kurt does not have email. In fact I have never emailed him in my life and I have been online since 1993.”
Krist had reunited with his friends before, including joining Foo Fighters on stage in Eugene, Oregon, the year before to perform their track ‘Big Me’.
The surviving members of Nirvana have come together a number of other times over the years, including for their 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, where they were joined by a number of guest stars in Kurt’s place.

OHMYGOSSIP — Noah Cyrus has announced her debut album, ‘The Hardest Part’.
The 22-year-old singer – who is the younger sibling of 29-year-old pop icon Miley Cyrus – has shared the lead single from her first full-length release, ‘I Burned LA Down’, a tale of heartbreak, and a moving music video.
On what inspired the track, she said: “All this internal, emotional pain I was feeling was intertwined with the anxiety around this out-of-control fire and climate change in general. The song took shape around the idea that the only way my ex could comprehend the scale of my emotions was if I became this agent of chaos and set the entire city on fire.”
The full album is due for release on July 15.
It’s set to follow April 2021’s collaborative EP ‘People Don’t Change’ with P.J. Harding.
Noah has been open about her battle with depression and previously admitted she feared she would die young after she went through such a tough patch with her mental health.
She wrote on her Instagram account in 2020: “my first ep ‘Good Cry’ came out 2 years ago today. time flies. i’ve been through so much since then. putting this ep out and going on tour during one of the most depressive times in my life was so hard. every day felt like lifting 100lb weights just to get out of bed.
“the ache in my chest from the pain felt unbearable .. at 18 i didn’t think i was going to be here for a 20th birthday soon to be 21. they felt 1000 years away. it seems impossible … i was so sad. so hurt. and so scared. (sic)”
Noah thanked everyone for helping her through the tough times.
In the lengthy post, she added: “thank you to everyone that’s been by my side during all of my progression and the times where it felt like i was regressing. every day is work when it comes to your mental health and personal battles. not every day is going to be hell and not every day is going to be perfect. i’m still figuring that out. thank you Cyrens for being patient…

OHMYGOSSIP — Sugababes, McFly and Imelda May have been added to this year’s Glastonbury lineup.
The performers set to play the Field Of Avalon stage at the Worthy Farm extravaganza this June have been unveiled.
A poster for the stage also revealed the likes of The Damned, The Hoosiers, Nick Mulvey, Orla Gartland and Ward Thomas are heading to the world-famous festival.
The new additions will join headliners Sir Paul McCartney, Kendrick Lamar and Billie Eilish.
The Beatles legend is set to headline the Pyramid Stage on Saturday, June 25, Billie and Kendrick Lamar on June 24 and June 26, while Diana Ross is set to play the Sunday afternoon tea time legends slot.
The bill also includes the likes of Olivia Rodrigo, Lorde, Megan The Stallion, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Wolf Alice, Years and Years, Charli XCX, Crowded House, Celeste, Arlo Parks, Doja Cat, and Haim.
Glastonbury takes place in Somerset between June 22 and June 26.
McCartney recently admitted he is yet to plan his set yet.
While he’s yet to decide the setlist, the ‘Hey Jude’ hitmaker teased there will be plenty of surprises.
Speaking last month, he said: “Yeah, to tell you the truth we don’t know exactly what we’re going to do yet, but we are definitely planning on having a few tricks up our sleeve…”
The ‘Band On The Run’ rocker also recalled performing on that very stage at Worthy Farm back in 2004, and described the view of the masses in the crowd as a “battle scene”.
He added: “My best memory was that moment we walked out on stage, when we performed there in 2004. The sheer size of the crowd, and the banners and the flags that they all hold up which reminded me of the battle of Agincourt.
“The crowds at Glastonbury have always reminded me of a medieval battle scene – it looks very heraldic, and to see this iconic scene and particular Glastonbury ‘look’ was very exciting.”
Macca was due to perform in 2020, before the event was called off due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Organiser Emily Eavis said: “When he finally confirmed, we were beyond [excited].
“For us, having Paul McCartney is obviously a dream, a huge moment in our history. It means the world getting Paul McCartney to Glastonbury.”
McCartney will be 80 when he takes to the stage.

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Winehouse’s 2007 performance at Glastonbury is being released on vinyl.
The festival is marking the 15th anniversary of the late ‘Rehab’ hitmaker’s set – who was described as a “Glastonbury-goer through and through” – on the Pyramid Stage by making it available for fans to buy as a limited-edition record on June 3 via Universal Music.
Emily Eavis, the Glastonbury’s co-organiser said: “Amy Winehouse was a Glastonbury-goer through and through. She either came and played or, when she wasn’t working, came and camped. She played in the blistering heat and the heavy rain, and there were so many magical moments to her performances.”
The record will feature songs by Amy – who died, aged 27, from alcohol poisoning in August 2011 – such as ‘You Know I’m No Good’, ‘Tears Dry on Their Own’ and ‘Valerie’.
Memorabilia from Amy’s career has proved to be incredibly popular since her tragic death as in November, a Fender Stratocaster guitar she played on stage and in the video for ‘Take the Box’ went for £117,00 at auction. In addition, a Dolce and Gabbana dress the songstress wore during a performance a month before she passed away went under the hammer for more than £180,000, over 30 times the guide price.
Last month, Amy’s father Mitch claimed that the Grammy Museum – who put on an exhibition ‘Beyond Black’ marking her life and career – sent back some of her six Grammy “damaged” after they were put on display.
The 71-year-old addiction activist said: “We did the Grammy Museum. The Grammys came back damaged.
“Can you believe it? It’s unbelievable. Had they no sense of wrapping them up or anything?”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Minogue says listening to unreleased music on the treadmill makes her exercise more.
The pop princess has revealed the unique way she ups her fitness game is by playing demos while she is working out and using the time to figure out what needs tweaking.
In an interview with WSJ magazine, she said: “I was on the treadmill a couple of weeks ago and listening to a new demo, trying to figure out what’s good about it, what needs changing.
“It helped me get quite a few more kilometres in.”
The 53-year-old singer admitted she is not a runner and her “ultimate workout” is touring.
She added: “We say in my family, ‘Minogues don’t run’. None of us run. But we like to walk, so that works for me.
“If I’m somewhere where there’s Pilates, I love that. I’ve also tried gyrotonics – that was really fun.
“My ultimate workout is being on tour. I’m never as fit as when I’m on the road, so I can’t wait to do that again. My body needs it.”
The ‘Sexercize’ singer – who released her chart-topping 15th studio album, ‘Disco’, in 2020 – recently attributed her ageless appearance to “lots of secrets”.
She said: “Just keep moving! Haha! No, if only it were that easy. There are lots of secrets, let’s call them ‘tricks of the trade’ and I’ve learnt many of them along the way. Good glam, lights, good team, good angles and styling.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kacey Musgraves has a framed joint smoked by Willie Nelson on her wall.
The country pop star revealed the strange memento she kept from her jaunt with the 88-year-old music legend in 2014 while giving Architectural Digest a tour of her Nashville abode.
Showing the joint, she said: “That’s going to stay there unless I need to break it in case of emergency.”
It turns out it wasn’t just Willie who smoked the spliff.
She recalled: “He rolled this huge fatty and we all sat around and smoked it with him, and then he said, ‘Save the rest for another time,’ and I did.”
Meanwhile, the 33-year-old musician previously revealed she went on a seven-hour guided magic mushroom trip.
The ‘Rainbow’ singer was keen to process the fallout from her divorce from Ruston Kelly and to “transform [her] trauma and pain into something else” so embarked on “plant therapy”, which involved taking the hallucinogenics under supervision, an experience she found “extremely useful” but also “deeply guttural, spiritual, terrifying”.
She explained: “I did it with a doctor friend here and her husband. It’s called plant therapy.
“It’s been looked at in a lot of areas for help with depression, anxiety, addiction, so many things.
“Basically, some neuroscientists [from Baltimore’s Johns Hopkins University] have created a playlist that’s music from all over the world, put together to guide you, in that state of mind, through different emotions, feeling memories, whatever.
“We have these neural pathways that we have worn into our brain, kind of like trails in the forest, and what these plants do is basically dump six feet of snow on those pathways and allow you to form new neural connections, to change your brain, change your habits.
“Through the experience, I was blindfolded, and on a comfortable couch with a soft blanket, this music was playing and all the things I was seeing were in my mind’s eye. The music was painting this whole story, pulling from childhood memories, experiences, thoughts.
“I was feeling every pluck of a string in my body, senses start to mix, you feel colours … it’s so hard to explain.”
Kacey admitted the experience was a “big part” of creating her latest album, ‘Star-Crossed’.
She said: “The day after, you’re encouraged to journal and relisten to the playlist, triggering some of the emotions that you felt then.
“So that’s what I was doing the day after, when the word ‘Star-Crossed’ popped into my mind as a title, and the concept of a modern tragedy, the acts: the exposition, the climax and the downfall, then the resolution.
“I don’t want it to necessarily speak for my brand as a whole, but it was a big part of this process.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Goss is eyeing a duet with fellow cockney Adele.
The Londoner – who shot to fame as a member of Bros alongside brother Luke Goss – has revealed he’d love to get into the studio with British artists.
While the ‘Hello’ hitmaker is at the top of his list for a collaboration, the 53-year-old singer would also love to work with grime artists.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper’s WIRED column, he said: “It’s time for another great duet with real depth between a man and a woman.
“I’d love to sing with Adele and I think we’d gel really well together. We’re both Londoners, which really appeals to me.”
He added: “Collaborations are extremely invigorating. While I’m back in London, the thought of making music with British artists is really exciting.
“There are some grime artists from London who I’d love to get in the studio with.”
Matt released his latest solo record, ‘The Beautiful Unknown’, last month, and he has colossal ambitions for this new chapter in his career, including competing with the likes of Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd.
He said recently: “I talk to people like yourself and then travel the world – to see Tokyo, Germany, France, Italy, Spain…and the conduit [for these shows] absolutely has to be new music. I want to compete with Ed Sheeran, I want to compete with The Weeknd, I want to compete with Robbie Williams … everyone. I made this record knowing 100 per cent that we can do that.”
Matt worked with songwriters to the stars on his follow-up to 2013’s ‘Life You Imagine’ and was inspired by artists like ‘Blinding Lights’ hitmaker The Weeknd to create the contemporary sound.
He said: “The fact is that everyone on this record has won multiple Grammys – they’ve won BRITs. People like that don’t get involved in your music unless they really feel strongly about it. I feel excited and I hope the industry sees what I’m doing. I want to be one of the main players. No one can say this isn’t a contemporary record.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Post Malone’s new album, ‘twelve carat toothache’, is set to arrive next month.
The ‘Sunflower’ hitmaker’s manager, Dre London, has taken to social media to tease that the follow-up to 2019’s ‘Hollywood’s Bleeding’ is due for release in May.
Sharing a video of himself partaking in a spot of tennis on Instagram, the music mogul wrote in the caption: “Results Or Excuses Choose Your Side! @postmalone album coming next month! What u want in life results or excuses!! #MondayMotivation. (sic)”
Dre previously claimed Post’s record label delayed the release.
He insisted it was “done” and “ready” and that the only thing holding it back was record bosses.
Alongside two snaps with Post, he wrote on Instagram earlier this year: “Our sync energy always on a Insane level!! Album has been done!! We Ready!! But seems @republicrecords @universalmusicgroup isn’ Posty fans no more need to press me anymore we did our part!! Now it’s time for the label to get the business right before we drop BIG Album! Hit them up! We been ready like u are! #DreVision #2022 It’s Time!!! (sic)”
Meanwhile, the 26-year-old star recently insisted he isn’t bothered about landing number ones anymore.
Post doesn’t want to “compromise” his music for the sake of trying to top the charts, admitting he isn’t interested in extending the length of his upcoming album, even if it means it is more successful.
He said: “I’ve made a lot of compromises, especially musically, but now I don’t feel like I want to anymore. I don’t need a number one – that doesn’t matter to me no more, and at a point, it did.”
The award-winning star believes it’s not worth fighting against “your gut vibe on anything”.
The ‘rockstar’ hitmaker – real name Austin Post – said: “Trying to shove 20 to 25 songs, it doesn’t work. Talking to the label [it’s like], ‘Oh, if you have less songs, you’re not going to stream as much,’ but the whole thing is that you don’t want to compromise your art and your gut vibe on anything.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jimmy Page has explained why he turned down featuring on Ozzy Osbourne’s new album.
The Led Zeppelin legend has claimed he snubbed an appearance on one of the tracks on the Prince of Darkness’ star-studded follow up to 2020’s ‘Ordinary Man’ because he likes to record in the studio with the other artists and not just ring it in.
He told Classic Rock magazine: “I will never be one of those people who’ll record alone and send someone a file. I never went into music in the first place to do that – it was for playing together.”
The 78-year-old rocker also revealed that he has a number of other projects in the works, including a new solo LP, but he doesn’t want to mislead people by giving away hints of his plans.
He said: “There’s various things I’m working towards.
“It’s not just one thing, it’s multiple things, and I don’t want to even give a hint, because if you do … you give a one-sentence sound bite, and then if it doesn’t materialise, it’s like: ‘Why didn’t you do a solo album?’
“So I don’t want to say what it is that I’ve got planned, because I don’t want to give people the chance to misinterpret it.”
The axe-slayer insisted: “I really can’t put on record what the new record is. I’ll leave it to your imagination. The thing is there are so many ways I could present myself right now. Actually, not right now. I’ll rephrase that: within a space of time!”
Ozzy has just completed the album, which features Guns N’ Roses’ Duff McKagan, Eric Clapton, Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready, the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins and Chad Smith from Red Hot Chili Peppers.
The 73-year-old musician wrote on Instagram: “I’m so happy to let everyone know that I finished my new album this week and delivered it to my label @EpicRecords. I’ll be sharing all the information about the album and its’ upcoming release with you in the next weeks.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Madison Beer was joined by Leah Kate at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London as she continued the European leg of her ‘Life Support’ tour.
The concert on Tuesday (12.04.22) was in honour of her debut album, ‘Life Support’, and the 23-year-old singer will be performing throughout Europe until the end of this month, when she will finish her tour in Denmark.
Madison came onstage in an all-white ensemble featuring a short-sleeved corset dress, gloves, and a flared miniskirt. Her signature bow completed the look. Her two backup dancers brought her out in an LED box, which remained onstage throughout the majority of her set.
She greeted the packed arena by saying: “It’s so great to be back home!”
The singer kicked off her performance with her hit ‘Baby’, and followed it up with ‘Good in Goodbye’ and ‘Stay Numb and Carry On’.
The show featured stylistic screened projections that elevated Madison’s performance as it was complete with a confetti cannon and three costume changes
Madison had complete artistic control of ‘Life Support’ and the debut album consists entirely of original songs and visuals she produced herself. The performance also featured previous hit singles ‘Selfish’ and ‘Stained Glass’.

OHMYGOSSIP — A new Elvis Presley compilation will reportedly see the likes of Doja Cat and Swae Lee cover the King of Rock and Roll’s greatest hits.
To coincide with the release of Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming ‘Elvis’ biopic, a host of stars have put their spin on the late music legend’s iconic songs in a bid to get a new generation into his music.
‘Say So’ hitmaker Doja, 26, has recorded a version of 1956’s ‘Hound Dog’, while fellow rapper Swae, 28, is also involved.
It’s hoped the soundtrack will boost streaming figures for Elvis’ back catalogue, just like the 2018 Queen biopic ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ did for the ‘We Are The Champions’ hitmakers.
However, “diehard” fans of the ‘Jailhouse Rock’ hitmaker might not be so thrilled by the project.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “It’s hugely controversial. Elvis fans are diehard and see any tampering as sacrilege, but Warner Bros wanted to bring his music to a new audience. He is one of the most successful musicians of all time, but this album will help introduce his music to a new generation of kids.
“The hope is that the record, along with the film, will help bring his music back to the masses again and kickstart a huge increase on streaming services — which is what happened with Queen music when the Freddie Mercury biopic ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ came out.”
A release date for the compilation is yet to be announced, though it’s likely to come out around the same time as the biopic.
The film is due to be released in June in the US, while it will premiere at Cannes Film Festival in May.
Austin Butler is taking on the lead role of Elvis, while Tom Hanks plays his manager Colonel Tom Parker.
The flick “chronicles the life and career of singer and actor, from his early days as a child to becoming a rock and roll and movie star, as well as his complex relationship with his manager.”
Meanwhile, Universal Music Publishing Group has just acquired the rights to the icon’s discography.
The music publishing giant has teamed up with Authentic Brands Group in a deal to represent Elvis’ catalogue.
Marc Cimino, Chief Operating Officer at UMPG, said in a statement: “Elvis Presley has had an unprecedented and lasting global impact on music and pop culture. Jody Gerson and I, along with UMPG’s teams around the world, couldn’t be more excited and honored to work with ABG in making sure that Elvis’ iconic legacy endures for generations to come.”
The pop culture icon – who died of a heart attack, aged 42, in 1977 after struggling with addiction – sold more than 500 million records during his career.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jade Thirlwall paid an emotional tribute to her Little Mix bandmates on the opening night of their ‘Confetti Tour’.
The chart-topping girl group – completed by Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock – kicked off the last jaunt before their hiatus with a pair of shows at Belfast’s SSE Arena at the weekend.
And the 29-year-old pop star gushed over her bandmates and insisted that “no matter what”, they will always be her family.
According to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column, “Little Mix 2011-Forever” was displayed on a screen behind them as she told the crowd: “We wouldn’t have got where we are today if it wasn’t for the love we have for each other.
“We have been through absolutely everything together.
“We have cried together. We have laughed together. We have seen each other naked. We really are the best of friends.
“We are family now and that is going to remain forever and ever, no matter what.”
Jade recently admitted it will be “very emotional” wrapping Little Mix’s last tour before their extended break.
The ‘No More Sad Songs’ singer admitted she was feeling “nervous” about returning to the stage for the trio’s first run since 2019’s ‘LM5: The Tour’.
Speaking on Charli XCX’s Best Song Ever podcast on BBC Sounds, she confessed: “I am a bit nervous. It has been so long since I have been on a stage.
“I feel I am a bit . . . not out of shape, but we love to throw the kitchen sink in. We love a dance routine.”
The ‘Heartbreak Anthem’ hitmaker went on to admit that while emotions will be high when the girls play the last date at London’s The O2 arena on May 14, she accepts that “change has to happen in life”.
She added: “It is a weird phase of such a huge phase of my life. I’m sure the last night of the tour will be very emotional.
“Change has to happen in life, you have to embrace it and make those moves.”
Little Mix have insisted their break will not mark a permanent end of the group.
The hiatus was announced after Jesy Nelson quit the girl group in 2020, citing her mental health as the reason for leaving.
The singer went on to launch her solo career with her debut single, ‘Boyz’, released in October 2021.
