OHMYGOSSIP — Kerry Katona thinks it is a “shame” she no longer speaks to the rest of Atomic Kitten.
The 41-year-old star – who was part of the ‘Whole Again’ girl group from 1998 until 2001 and again in 2013 until 2017 – believes life is too short to bear a grudge and hopes she and her former bandmates can put their rows behind them before it’s too late, admitting the death of Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding had made her contemplate the situation.
Writing in her new! magazine column, she said: “Cheryl Tweedy has announced that she and the rest of Girls Aloud are taking part in Race For Life in memory of Sarah Harding.
“I was friends with Sarah and think that’s a lovely idea. I think it’s nice the girls are coming together and it’s for such a brilliant cause.
“I’m not as close to the Atomic Kitten girls as I once was and it does make me wonder what would happen if, God forbid, anything happened to one of us.
“We’ve not spoken for years. I think life is too short and it’s a shame.”
Kerry previously insisted she has no idea why Liz McClarnon, Natasha Hamilton and Jenny Frost won’t speak to her anymore.
She said: “I don’t know why the girls don’t speak to me. But I love them to bits and I want nothing but happiness for them.
“I wish them all the best! There’s no bad blood on my side.”
Kerry’s most recent exit from the group occurred following a personal appearance she made in Manchester, when one person in reference to Natasha suggested she “lose the ginger”, prompting Kerry to say: “I’m not being funny, Atomic Kitten – I always saw her as a toxic ****!”
Just hours later, she wrote on Instagram: “Gutted that I am no longer apart of Atomic Kitten!! Wish the girls all the love and happiness in the world!! Was very proud to be the founder member of AK! Had some amazing times with the kittens! And gutted not to be apart of that no more! I guess I’ll keep to knock knock jokes from now on (sic).”

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher goes to Glastonbury to people watch.
The former Oasis guitarist – who headlined the Worthy Farm festival twice in 1995 and 2004 with the ‘Wonderwall’ group, after first performing in 1994 – is set to make his solo debut with his High Flying Birds on the Pyramid Stage tonight (25.06.22).
However, the 55-year-old rocker has confessed it’s actually the mad antics of festival-goers he goes for, not the line-up, though he’ll be catching Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney’s headlining set and a few of his favourites.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column, he said: “Thank God Glastonbury is back. It s**** all over New Year and it’s way more important than Christmas.”
He quipped: “After I’ve sat on Macca’s knee for a bit I’ll swing by the little Mancunian enclave up in some far-off never never land and say all right to Bez [from Happy Mondays] and the box of toys and take it from there.
“I’m very much looking forward to seeing The Punishers — top psychedelic firm from Manchester, although I think they might clash with The Pink Monkeys so I’ll have to decide which ones I’m gonna do — actually I might do both.
“Other than that, no one really.
“I don’t go for the music. I’ll just wander around bumping into amazing people getting into adventures and seeing wonderful things.”
Glasto-goers will no doubt be hoping for a few Oasis classics from the Britpop legend, and they are likely to hear a few.
Noel has been playing a lot more of their hits at his recent gigs.
His recent setlist has featured seven Oasis tunes – ‘Little by Little’, ‘The Importance of Being Idle’, ‘Whatever’, ‘Wonderwall’, ‘Half the World Away’, ‘Stop Crying Your Heart Out’ and ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’.
Oasis split in 2009 following a backstage bust-up between estranged siblings Noel and Liam Gallagher, the group’s ex-frontman, but much to the dismay of fans, they haven’t grown any closer to reuniting amid their continued riff.
Liam, 49, has performed at Glastonbury both with Beady Eye – the group he formed following the demise of Oasis – in 2013, and as a solo artist in 2017 and 2019.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Elton John performed his 130th London concert in the city’s Hyde Park on Friday (24.06.22) night.
The 75-year-old singer had the sell-out crowd at the first night of American Express Presents BST Hyde Park singing and dancing for almost two-and-a-half hours as he brought what he himself noted was the 233rd show of his ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road’ tour to the capital and admitted he’d treasure the evening forever.
He said: “Thank you for your kindness and loyalty over the past 50 years. When I stop next year you’ll be a part of my memories.”
Elton – who was backed by a six-piece band including his long-term live collaborators drummer Nigel Olsson, guitarist Davey Johnstone and percussionist Ray Cooper – kicked off his set with ‘Bennie and the Jets’, swiftly followed by ‘Philadelphia Freedom’ and ‘I Guess That’s Why They Call it The Blues’.
While the high energy songs such as ‘Crocodile Rock’, ‘The B**** Is Back’ and ‘Saturday Night’s All Right For Fighting’ had the crowd dancing and singing, the slower paced numbers such as ‘Tiny Dancer’ and ‘Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word’ didn’t subdue the audience, with most continuing to sing along, or simply staring in awe at Elton in action.
The veteran performer took the time before ‘Border Song’ to remember “magical and everlasting” Aretha Franklin, while later in the set he paid an emotional tribute to the late George Michael, who he described as “one of the greatest artists we’ve ever produced” before performing ‘Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me’, a track they had duetted on in 1991.
Not only were the crowd treated to a powerful vocal performance from Elton and his usual wizardry at the piano, he also enjoyed multiple costume changes – complete with new sparkly glasses each time – and stunning video backdrops, including the set appearing in flames during ‘Burn Down the Mission’, various clips from his biopic ‘Rocketman’ and a career retrospective throughout ‘I’m Still Standing’.
Kicking off his encore with ‘Cold Heart’, a giant digital Dua Lipa appeared on a video screen behind Elton, though the singer encouraged the audience to sing her parts.
After closing that song, Elton noted: ““At 75 years it’s good to have a number one record around the world.”
He then went on to introduce his first ever hit, nothing it had come 52 years ago, and performed an emotional version of ‘Your Song’, before closing out with the only possible choice – ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Paul McCartney got “back together” with the late John Lennon during his Glastonbury set on Saturday (25.06.22).
The 80-year-old musician – who is the event’s oldest ever solo headliner – stunned the crowd at the Pyramid Stage when he sang a virtual duet with his late bandmate on ‘I’ve Got A Feeling’ thanks to the help of director Sir Peter Jackson, who helmed the recent Beatles documentary ‘Get Back’.
He said: “I’ve got a special little thing here. One day, Peter Jackson rings me up and says he can take John’s vocals and isolate them so that you can play live with John on tour. He said do you fancy that?”
After the pair traded verses during the song, Paul said: “That’s so special for me man. I know it’s virtual but come on – it’s John. We’re back together.”
And that wasn’t the only surprise Paul had for the crowd as earlier in his set, he introduced Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl – who had flown in from the US for his first performance since the death of bandmate Taylor Hawkins in March – and the rocker joined him on ‘I Saw Her Standing There’ and ‘Band On The Run’.
Introducing Dave to the stage, Paul said: “Now, I’ve got a little surprise for you… Your hero from the west coast of America – Dave Grohl!”
He later noted: “This guy flew in especially to do this.”
After the two songs, the Beatles legend then told the crowd: “We’ve got another surprise for you.”
He then announced he was about to be joined by another guest “from the East Coast Of America”, with Bruce Springsteen walking out to cheers.
He joined Paul on a version of his own 1984 track ‘Glory Days’, and early Beatles single ‘I Wanna Be Your Man’.
The two stars then returned to the stage to help Paul close out his 38-song career-spanning set with a rendition of ‘The End’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Skin believes racism was the reason Skunk Anansie’s 1999 Glastonbury set wasn’t a big talking point.
The 54-year-old bandleader was the first black female to headline the world-famous festival with the British rock band and she is of the belief that the history-making performance didn’t get the attention it deserved because racism was rife in the 90s.
Since then, Beyonce and Stormzy have headlined the Pyramid Stage and wrongly claimed to be the first black artists to do so, and Skin was particularly annoyed at the former for doing so.
She told the July issue of Retro Pop magazine – of which Skin is the cover star – that: “I can claim being the first Black woman. I’ll tell you what, it wasn’t f****** Beyoncé!”
Skin went on: “Now, when you do something and you’re the first Black person to do it, it’s expected that everybody talks about it and you shout it from the top of the hill. You make as much noise about it as possible. But in those days, the racism was that, ‘You’re just like every other band and we’re just gonna treat you like the other band’. But then they don’t treat you like every other band, because every other band gets the TV shows and radio and stuff.”
The ‘Brazen’ rocker revealed racism was much more overt toward her in the US, while in her native Britain, they would pull apart her talent instead.
She said: “In America, the racism is just out there. They’re like, ‘Well, we don’t like bands with a Black lead singer.’ They said that to us in America. In England, they did this whole thing like, ‘Oh, we just don’t like her voice,’ or, ‘Oh, we just don’t like the single’. They won’t actually come out and say, ‘We don’t like Black people playing rock music.’ They’ll just pretend that there are other reasons and it’s not their problem. That’s the British way.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher joked people had only come to watch him play Oasis songs at his Glastonbury set on Saturday (25.06.22).
The 55-year-old singer played the Pyramid Stage before headliner Sir Paul McCartney and while the first half of his set was filled with his solo material, including ‘Holy Mountain’ and ‘Black Star Dancing’, he admitted he was playing them for himself as he was aware the crowd wanted to hear the hits of his former band, who split in 2009.
He joked midway through his set: “Yes Glastonbury! I trust everyone is alright.
“What’s gonna happen now is I’m gonna play a few more tunes that you don’t give a f*** about.
“Those ones are for me.
“But if you stick around for a bit, after that there’s gonna be a lot of happy people in bucket hats.”
True to his word, the second half of Noel’s set was largely filled with Oasis tracks, kicking off with ‘Little By Little’, ‘The Importance of Being Idle’, ‘Whatever’, and ‘Wonderwall’.
He then introduced ‘Half the World Away’, the theme song from classic sit com ‘The Royle Family’ with a reference to the recent four-day celebrations for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.
He quipped: “‘Ello, did everyone have a good silver jubilee, yeah? Well, this next song’s for the real Royle family, from Manchester.”
After ‘Stop Crying Your Heart Out’, Noel returned to his solo material with a performance of ‘AKA… What A Life!’ but then closed things out with a singalong finale of ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’.
He told the crowd: “Thank you everyone who has stuck by us.
“Enjoy the big man when he comes on … he’s got a few tunes.”

OHMYGOSSIP — 80s’ pop star Tiffany didn’t want to record ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’ because she didn’t want to head in a dance direction.
The 50-year-old singer – whose full name is Tiffany Darwish – has admitted she was against the idea of releasing a cover of the James and the Shondells’ song that would become a global hit for her in 1987 because she was set on becoming the next Stevie Nicks.
However, it grew on her and she is “forever grateful” for the success it brought her.
She told the July 2022 issue of Retro Pop magazine: “I didn’t want to record ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’, because I just thought it would take me in a direction that, although I love dance music, I didn’t want people to think I couldn’t sing. I didn’t really want to be a dance artist; I wanted to be in front of a band.
“My plan was to start there and become Stevie Nicks. I was like, ‘That’s what’s gonna happen,’ and then this happens. But I did take the track home, and my friends loved it – there was just no denying it – and it grew on me.
“I was excited to be recording, so I went in and sang the song, and I’m forever grateful – I really am – and I’m glad that I did that and I didn’t say, ‘No, I’m not gonna record it.’ I was like, ‘Well, I don’t really know, it’s not my favourite, but we’ll do it.’”
Tiffany would follow up ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’ with ‘Could Have Been’, which topped the US Billboard Hot 100, but she had to fight for it to be released as record label bosses thought it was “a little mature” for a teen pop star.
She said “’Could Have Been’ is one of my favourite songs to sing ever. I’m glad to have that in my arsenal and that be part of my No. 1s and my musical history. It’s a great song. I think, even at 14, I fought to sing that song because it showed that I could actually sing. And then the topic, everyone was like, ‘Well, you know, it’s a little mature.’ And I didn’t really agree, because at 14/15 – I recorded the song at 14 and it came out when I was 15 – I kept saying, ‘I don’t know; I mean, have you ever really seen a teenage girl in love? It’s pretty tragic!’ So I think that with my pleading and everything, they just went ahead and we put it on the album. And look what happened…”

OHMYGOSSIP — The Rolling Stones dedicated their Hyde Park concert to late drummer Charlie Watts.
The rock icons performed at American Express Presents BST Hyde Park on Saturday night (25.06.22) and frontman Sir Mick Jagger took a moment to remember Charlie, who died at the age of 80 in August 2021, before the band played ‘Tumbling Dice’.
Mick, 78, said: “It’s lovely to be here. In 1962, we met a drummer from Wembley called Charlie Watts.
“And sadly, this is our first time in London without him. So, we would like to dedicate this show to Charlie.”
The Rolling Stones formed in 1962 and their career-spanning concert celebrated their 60th anniversary.
Mick, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood kicked off proceedings with ‘Street Fighting Man’, and the classics kept coming as they played ‘You Can’t Always Get What You Want’, ‘Can’t You Hear Me Knocking’ and ‘Honky Tonk Women’ and ‘Miss You’.
Guitarist Keith, 78, took lead vocals on ‘Slipping Away’ and ‘Connection’ and they closed their set with a host of greatest hits including ‘Start Me Up’, ‘Gimme Shelter’ and ‘Jumpin’ Jack Flash’.
Mick also thanked the crowd for making it to the gig even though there was a national rail strike.
He said: “Are you feeling alright? It’s great to be back home in London. I know that getting here has not been easy. I want to really thank the effort you have made for all to get here.
“And I want to welcome everyone who has come from out of town, like the Midlands, I know people come from the North of England, and people come from overseas.”
After briefly departing the stage the band returned for an encore of ‘Sympathy for the Devil’ and ‘(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction’ which had the sell-out crowd singing along to every word of each song.

OHMYGOSSIP — Silk Sonic were the big winners at the 2022 BET Awards.
The annual ceremony celebrating black culture took place at Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater on Sunday night (26.06.22), and this year Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak’s R’n’B supergroup dominated the evening.
The duo’s debut album, ‘An Evening With Silk Sonic’, was crowned Album of the Year, while the ‘Leave The Door Open’ hitmakers also took home Best Group.
Anderson won a third prize, Video director of the year, meaning he became the most-awarded star of the night.
Doja Cat, Drake and Ari Lennox had led the nominations, but all came home empty-handed.
Following the overturning of Roe v Wade, resulting in terminations being illegal for millions of women across America, several stars used their time on stage to blast the US Supreme Court.
Actress-and-singer Janelle Monae, 36, stuck up her middle finger while introducing the Best female R’n’B/pop artist nominees, and received a standing ovation after delivering a powerful speech.
She said: “These artists are making art on our own terms, owning our truths and expressing ourselves freely and unapologetically in a world that tries to control and police our bodies, my body and our decisions, my body.
“F*** you Supreme Court. I know we’re celebrating us right now as we should. We absolutely deserve to celebrate — especially now we should celebrate our art by protecting our right and our truths.”
Jazmine Sullivan won the prize and asked men to “stand up” for their women as “we need your support more than ever”.
She said: “It’s a hard time for us.
“I want to speak directly to the men: We need y’all. We need y’all to stand up, stand up for us, stand up with us. If you’ve ever benefitted from a woman making one of the toughest decisions of her life, which is to terminate a pregnancy, you need to be standing. This is not just a woman issue. This is everybody’s issue. We need your support more than ever.”
Elsewhere, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award, while Mary J. Blige received the BET Her accolade.
The evening saw epic performances from Lizzo, Jack Harlow, Lil Wayne, Roddy Ricch and Chance the Rapper.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kendrick Lamar closed Glastonbury 2022 with a plea for women’s rights.
The 35-year-old rapper ended his set on the Pyramid Stage on Sunday (26.06.22) with a performance of ‘Savior’ and before he left the stage, he addressed the Supreme Court’s recent overturning of landmark ruling Roe v. Wade, which is expected to see at least 20 states restrict or make abortion illegal.
Wearing a crown of thorns, he repeatedly chanted: “They judge you, they judged Christ. Godspeed for women’s rights.”
Earlier in his set – which opened with an instrumental interlude from ‘Savior’ before he launched into ‘United in Grief’ – Kendrick admitted it “meant a lot” to him to perform at the world-famous festival.
After performing ‘Love’, he said: “On behalf of me and my team, I want to thank every individual out here tonight. I consider y’all family, this shit is special, it means a lot to me.”
“I look out into the crowd and I see different creeds, different colours.
“I wear this crown. They judged Christ. They judge you, they judged Christ. We gonna continue to walk in his image.”
The ‘Alright’ singer was backed by dancers throughout his set, with the men echoing his own outfit of black trousers and white shirt, and the women in flowing red dresses.
Rapper AJ Tracey hailed Kendrick as one of the most important rappers of a generation.
He told BBC News: “He works very hard but he’s also unwavering in his message.
“There’s a meaning behind everything he does. He always stands up for black people, for impoverished people, people who are unfairly treated – and that means a lot to people.
“When you’re already a good rapper, it’s easy to be on autopilot, but when you stand for something and you push a message, that’s what makes people love you.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack Harlow brought out Brandy and Lil Wayne at the 2022 BET Awards.
The ‘First Class’ hitmaker had a couple of surprises in store when he took to the stage at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday night (26.06.22).
First up, the 24-year-old star was joined by the ‘Lollipop’ rapper, 39, for a rendition of their track ‘Poison’.
And Jack had another surprise up his sleeve, with the 43-year-old R’n’B legend freestyling over Jack’s mega-hit ‘First Class’.
Brandy rapped: “Allow me to reintroduce myself, my name is world-famous, one of the greatest/Living legend, did I mention my résumé is amazing/Over 20 years and I’m still a topic/A b**** is worth a million and I’m feeling philanthropic/Popular but now I’m poppin’ s*** for those out of pocket.”
The audience – including Brandy’s brother Ray J – erupted into applause.
Jack and Brandy had only recently exchanged words on social media after the former admitted he had no idea Ray J, 41, is Brandy’s sibling.
She responded to his tweet: “I will murk this dude in rap at 43 on his own beats and then sing is ass to sleep […] See, I can have a little fun too. hehe…all love. (sic)”
The BET Awards also saw a surprise appearance from Mariah Carey, who teamed up with Latto to perform ‘Big Energy’.
Elsewhere, Lizzo brought ‘About Damn Time’ to the BET stage and Lifetime Achievement Award honouree Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was joined by a host of stars for a medley of his greatest hits.
Jodeci and Mary J. Blige came out for ‘Come and Talk to Me’ and ‘I’m Goin’ Down’, respectively.
Diddy sped through ‘Victory’ before being joined by Shyne for ‘Bad Boyz’.
He followed the pair of hits with ‘All About the Benjamins’ with The Lox and Lil Kim and ‘I Need A Girl Pt. II.’
Busta Rhymes came out for ‘Pass the Courvoisier’ and Bryson Tiller joined Diddy for a rendition of his new song ‘Gotta Move On’.
The 52-year-old hip-hop icon then paid a touching tribute to his late girlfriend Kim Porter, with a clip of her being shown before ‘I’ll Be Missing You’.
Maverick City Music and Faith Evans joined him on stage to perform their 1997 classic as a tribute to the late Notorious B.I.G. and Kim.

OHMYGOSSIP — BTS’ J-Hope has announced his debut solo album, ‘Jack In The Box’.
After the K-Pop septet – also comprising Jin, 29, Suga, 29, RM, 27, V, 26, Jimin, 26, and Jungkook, 24 – confirmed they are focusing on solo ventures for the time being, the 28-year-old star has unveiled details of his forthcoming LP.
‘Jack In The Box’ is released on July 15, with a new single set to drop on Friday (01.07.22).
Record label HYBE said the album will allow J-Hope to “break the mould and grow further”.
The album news comes after BTS’ management team clarified the group are not going on hiatus.
It was reported earlier this month that the South Korean boy band were going their separate ways and would reunite “someday” but their representatives have insisted their remarks were mistranslated.
A release from their agency HYBE said: “The group will remain active as a team while taking individual journey to further achieve personal growth. [They] will allow themselves to express their individuality through the release of solo albums and collaborations with other artists.”
HYBE’s parent company BIGHIT MUSIC added: “BTS now starts a new chapter with new solo projects as well as group projects. Members will take this time to achieve personal growth through various new activities, and we expect it to further strengthen the foundation for the group’s long-run as a team. BIGHIT MUSIC will actively support the artists.”
BTS had broken the news during their annual FESTA dinner earlier this week and explained it was time to work on their own.
RM was quoted as saying: “I always thought that BTS was different from other groups, but the problem with K-pop and the whole idol system is that they don’t give you time to mature.
“You have to keep producing music and keep doing something.”
J-Hope added: “I think we should spend some time apart to learn how to be one again. I hope you don’t see this as a negative thing, and see it as a healthy plan. I think BTS will become stronger that way.”
Suga exclaimed: “It’s not like we’re disbanding!”
Jimin said: “We can’t help but think of our fans no matter what, we want to be the kind of artists that are remembered by our fans.
“I think now we’re starting to think about what kind of artists we each want to be remembered by our fans.
“I think that’s why we’re going through a rough patch right now, we’re trying to find our identity and that’s an exhausting and long process.”
V insisted they were not splitting and vowed the band’s “synergy will be like no other” when they regroup.
Jungkook released a solo single on June 12 called ‘My You’ while J-Hope was announced as a headliner of Chicago’s Lollapalooza festival in July.

The 27-year-old British rapper – whose real name is Tyron Frampton – has signed an agreement with the major label covering all his future releases, including his eagerly-awaited third studio album.
A statement noted: “Known for his unique brand of ‘punk-rap’, Slowthai has since then cemented his status as one of the most influential and prominent artists within grime and hip-hop today.”

Slowthai rose to prominence in 2019, thanks to his politically-charged verses about Brexit and former and current Prime Ministers Theresa May and Boris Johnson.
His debut studio album, ‘Nothing Great About Britain’, was nominated for the Mercury Prize.
Slowthai released the follow-up, ‘Tyron’, in February 2021, which became his first UK number one album.
The star-studded LP includes collaborations with Skepta, Dominic Fike, James Blake, A$AP Rocky and Denzel Curry.

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Elliott has revealed Def Leppard’s stadium tour will travel across the pond to Europe next year.
The ‘Pour Some Sugar On Me’ rockers are currently on a jaunt across North America, but the 62-year-old frontman has promised fans there will be “loads” more dates in Ireland and beyond.
Speaking to Classic Rock, he said: “I can’t reveal when or where it will happen because I haven’t been told that it’s okay to say anything yet.
“But the second that information is cleared, Classic Rock will know about it.
“One gig is absolutely confirmed so far, and we’re looking at a second one in a different city. There will be another in Dublin, and loads around Europe. Some of them will just be festivals [with different bands], but others will be what we’re currently doing here in North America.”
‘The Stadium Tour’ sees Def Leppard joined by Motley Crüe, Poison and Joan Jett.
The US leg is currently due to conclude on September 9 at the Las Vegas Allegiant Stadium in Nevada.
Meanwhile, when the tour came to Nationals Park in Washington, D.C. last week, Motley drummer Tommy Lee threw a full tray of ribs into the crowd to make light of breaking his actual ribs.
The 59-year-old sticksman hasn’t been unable to play full sets after breaking four ribs, and he made light of his injuries by dropping some meaty ribs into the audience.
Tommy joked with the crowd: “For the people that know, here’s a little f****** joke on the whole situation.
“For those of you that don’t know, I brought a couple of unbroken ribs for y’all to throw down on.”
He said: “Let’s f****** party, goddammit. Ribs? How about some f****** ribs?”

OHMYGOSSIP — Olly Alexander says his onstage persona is “freakier” than how he is in everyday life.
The Years and Years star made his solo debut on the Other Stage at Glastonbury on Sunday (26.06.22), and he spoke about his concerts being the one place he can bring out his “more flamboyant” side.
The 31-year-old pop star and actor told NME at Worthy Farm: “I’m just grateful to be here first of all.
“I’m so lucky I get to do this. I get to express myself when I’m on stage and get to be this version of myself that’s bigger than who I am usually. He’s more flamboyant and more out there but it’s an expression of who I am inside. That’s a part of me and I get to do that on stage.
“I hope people that come to the show and come to watch Years and Years, get to get a bit of that for themselves, [to say] ‘I’m going to be myself, I’m going to be freakier!’ That’s what I hope because life is really difficult right now for so many different people and in so many different ways.”
As well as playing his own set, Olly joined the Pet Shop Boys for a rendition of ‘Dreamland’.
Olly previously covered the 80s synth-pop duo’s hit ‘It’s A Sin’ for the Channel 4 AIDS drama he starred in of the same name.
The former ‘Skins’ actor starred as Ritchie Tozer in the series about the 1980s AIDS epidemic in the UK.

OHMYGOSSIP — The Eagles hinted their Hyde Park concert could be their last ever London show.
The soft rock legends headlined American Express Presents BST Hyde Park on Sunday night (26.06.22), and drummer and vocalist Don Henley suggested they might not be able to make it across the pond again.
The 74-year-old rocker said: “So, this is British Summer Time.
“In case we don’t pass this way again, I want to thank you all for embracing these songs, taking them into your hearts and your homes – we appreciate it.”
As the sun faded on a packed-out Hyde Park, the iconic band celebrated five decades of their debut eponymous 1972 album – which they recorded at London’s Olympic Studios – with a 23-song set.
Don noted – after dedicating his drum solo to the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins – that the record was produced during the 1972 miners’ strike and how it impacted its creation.
He told the crowd: “We’d be in the middle of a take and the power would go off.”
The ‘Get Over It’ hitmakers – also comprising Timothy Schmit, Vince Gill and Joe Walsh – treated the 65,000-strong crowd to an array hits, including ‘Tequila Sunrise’, ‘Witchy Woman’ and ‘Hotel California’.
Tennis icon John McEnroe made a pit stop on his way to Wimbledon as he made a cameo with his acoustic guitar for the final number ‘Already Gone’, along with his singer-songwriter wife Patty Smyth.
At one point, guitarist Joe joked he got to have “a lot more fun” in their groovy 70s heyday.
The 74-year-old guitarist quipped: “I had a lot more fun being 20 in the 70s than I’m having being 70 in the 20s’.”
They were also joined by Deacon Frey, 29, the son of their late frontman, Glenn Frey – who passed away in 2016 – for a cover of Jack Tempchin’s ‘Peaceful Easy Feeling’ and the fan-favourite ‘Take It Easy’.
