OHMYGOSSIP — BLACKPINK are dropping new music and planning a world tour.
The foursome – consisting of Jisco, Jennie, Rose and Lisa – will release fresh tracks in August as they are in the “final stages of recording a new album” and intend to go on the “largest world tour in the history of a K-pop girl group.”
Their record label YG Entertainment said: “A lot of BLACKPINK-esque music has been prepared over a long period of time. On top of new music and large-scale projects, BLACKPINK will also go on the largest world tour in the history of a K-pop girl group by the end of the year to expand their rapport with fans worldwide.”
The label went on to add their sophomore album will begin a “a continuous large-scale project which will extend through the second half of the year,” saying will begin “a lot of BLACKPINK-esque music [that] has been prepared over a long period of time,” suggesting that it won’t be the only thing they have up their sleeve for the rest of the year.
This comes after rumours circulated that their comeback could be “as early as June,” which was met with confirmation they were coming back soon.
Last week, the ‘How Do You Like That’ group – who burst onto the scene with 2020’s debut ‘The ALBUM – became the first musical act to hit 75 million subscribers on YouTube and were the most subscribed group ever when they got to 65.5 million, beating out the record set by Justin Bieber.
In 2019, prior to their LPs release, they teased their mammoth success, predicting their tidal wave of international fame.
Jisco told Billboard magazine for a cover story: “You don’t have to understand Korean to understand the music, the visuals, the vibe.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Metallica are “beyond psyched” to have ‘Master of Puppets’ feature in ‘Stranger Things’.
The heavy metal band – made up of James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo – are big fans of Eddie Munson’s (Joseph Quinn) rendition of their 1986 track in the final episode of the Netflix sci-fi show’s fourth season when he and Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo) are deployed to lure and distract the demobats out of the Upside Down to ensure Steve, Nancy and Robin’s safety.
After the last two episodes dropped, they wrote on Instagram on Tuesday (05.07.22): “The way The Duffer Brothers have incorporated music into ‘Stranger Things’ has always been next level, so we were beyond psyched for them to not only include ‘Master of Puppets’ in the show, but to have such a pivotal scene built around it.”
The band also gushed about the “final result” of their song being used in the show – which is set in the 80s and features stars such as Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard and Millie Bobby Brown – and Joseph’s guitar skills.
They added: “We were all stoked to see the final result and when we did we were totally blown away… it’s so extremely well done, so much so, that some folks were able to guess the song just by seeing a few seconds of Joseph Quinn’s hands in the trailer!
“How crazy cool is that? It’s an incredible honour to be such a big part of Eddie’s journey and to once again be keeping company with all of the other amazing artists featured in the show.”
Their comments come after Kate Bush thanked ‘Stranger Things’ showrunners the Duffer Brothers for propelling ‘Running Up That Hill’ to the top of the UK charts after her 1985 single featured in the fourth season.
Kate said: “By featuring Running Up That Hill in such a positive light – as a talisman for Max (one of the main female characters) – the song has been brought into the emotional arena of her story. Fear, conflict and the power of love are all around her and her friends.
“I salute the Duffer Brothers for their courage – taking this new series into a much more adult and darker place. I want to thank them so much for bringing the song into so many people’s lives. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Blur’s Dave Rowntree has launched his solo career with his debut single ‘London Bridge’.
The ‘Parklife’ group’s drummer inked a deal with Cooking Vinyl in 2021 for his first solo LP, and the first taste of the record is out now.
The haunting track is about “unsettling” sightings at London Bridge.
Speaking of the track, the 58-year-old musician said: “When I was in my early 20s, in Colchester, I would start to see the number 126 everywhere. I lived at a house that was 126, I’d get a bus that was 126. It felt to me that the universe was trying to alert my attention to 126 for some reason, even though the rational part of me knew that that was b*******.
“So, ‘London Bridge’ was one of those. Things just started happening when I was near London Bridge, or going past on the bus, or on the tube going underneath London Bridge. I would just notice events occurring, and it was slightly unsettling.
“I had to confront my London Bridge demons and that’s what the song is about.”
On going solo, he added: “I’m really excited to release my first single as a solo artist. It’s from a body of work that I’ve been putting together over the last couple of years, and I’m humbled to be releasing it on the legendary Cooking Vinyl label.”
Dave’s album is yet to receive a release date, but more music is on the way soon.
Britpop legends Blur haven’t toured together since their 2015 run in support of their comeback LP, ‘The Magic Whip’, though frontman Damon Albarn reunited with Dave, guitarist Graham Coxon and bassist Alex James at his Africa Express show in his hometown of Leytonstone in 2019.
Damon previously teased that he was set to start discussing a reunion with his bandmates.
Asked if Blur is finished last year, he insisted: “Not at all.”
The 54-year-old Gorillaz star continued: “I am just about to have a conversation with people about Blur and I would love to sing all those songs again. I miss the songs. I miss playing with Blur.”
In August, lead guitarist Graham Coxon insisted he’d be up for reuniting with the group when the time is right.
He said: “That’s always been the thing with Blur – they’ll do it when they really need to and not for any other reason. It doesn’t really seem genuine to just get back together and just do gigs for a bit of spondage. We need to have some sort of focus for how we would work.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Niall Horan has vowed to finish his third solo album “as soon as I can” and also hinted at plans to embark on a tour.
The ‘Nice To Meet Ya’ singer has revealed he’s set to head across the pond to the US to complete work on his follow-up to 2020’s ‘Heartbreak Weather’, while he’s also planning to hit the road after the record is done.
Niall is quoted by The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column as saying: “I’d love to try to get this album done as soon as I can.
“After this, I will be back to America for the foreseeable and then once I’m finished I won’t be too long about getting back out there because I’m going to these gigs these days and getting very jealous.”
The former One Direction star was forced to cancel his ‘Nice To Meet Ya’ World Tour in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
But getting back to attending gigs has left the 28-year-old singer yearning to get back on the stage himself.
He added: “When you’re used to doing as much travelling as we do and packing a suitcase every other day, it was very strange to be sat around doing nothing like the rest of the world was.
“But it’s good to be back in the mix and making an album and just going to gigs.”
The ‘Slow Hands’ hitmaker was recently seen enjoying Adele’s BST Hyde Park show and his ex-bandmate Harry Styles’ ‘Love On Tour’ show at Wembley Stadium.
Last year, Niall admitted he would be lost for a job if his music career ever dries up.
The ‘Our Song’ singer has had a number of fans from his time in One Direction tell him they “used to be” big fans of his, and he worries that if he loses his fame and following, he will struggle to find a normal job with no qualifications.
He said: “What I’m getting now is: ‘I used to be such a fan’ and I’m like: ‘And what happened? Are you not happy with it any more?’ I actually say: ‘Did my music no suffice?’
“It’s nuts that I’m 27 and I have been doing it for 11 years.”
Niall continued: “The longer it lasts the better for me because I absolutely love what I do and I don’t have any qualifications or anything.”
He then urged his fanbase: “So if you could please support the cause for as long as possible!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Aerosmith’s Joe Perry disagrees with Gene Simmons’ longstanding opinion that “rock is dead”.
The KISS rocker, 72, continues to stand by his comments he first made in 2014, when he pronounced the genre deceased.
‘Love in an Elevator’ hitmaker Joe, however, says there are plenty of new rock ‘n’ roll bands “carrying the flag” and headlining big stages, despite not having chart success.
Speaking with Andrew Daly of VWMusic, Joe said: “No, not at all … There are some great rock ‘n’ roll bands carrying the flag too, and one example is Brad’s [Whitford, Aerosmith, guitarist] son Graham, who plays with Tyler Bryant and The Shakedown.
“I think they’re like kicking a**, and the thing is, there’s a lot of guys who want to get out there and play rock ‘n’ roll guitar and play that kind of music. The issue is that there aren’t enough fans to hear it, so it’s only going to go so far, but there are still people there for them to build a following.
“These new bands, they still headline places, they open up for other bands, and it’s the same thing. It’s not like they’re at the top of the Billboard charts or like the top of the pop charts, but that’s kind of how it was in the late ’60s, too. All the rock ‘n’ roll that I liked, they didn’t even have a place at the Grammys for it, and there was nothing overly commercial about it.”
The 71-year-old guitarist believes it’s the fans who keep rock alive.
He added: “I mean, I saw The Who in a small club playing ‘Tommy’. It was only a club, but the place was packed, and it was still about the fans there who wanted to hear it. It’s the same now; those fans are still there, and that’s what’s really keeping it alive.”
In April, Gene insisted old peer-to-peer file sharing sites like Napster and Limewire killed rock music.
He said: “I stand by my words: rock is dead. The people that killed it are fans.
“Fans killed the thing they loved by downloading and file sharing for free. How do you expect somebody who loves the guitar to come into this creative process? You’ve got to invent yourself. And so rock is dead.”
Joe weighing on the debate comes after Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi had his say last year.
The ‘War Pigs’ rocker, 74, insisted: “I don’t think rock is going to die. That’s been said for years.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Nick Cave has requested fan phone footage for a new collaborative film.
The visionary artist is seeking short clips – no more than two minutes – showing a range of themes from “mercy and anger” to “revelation and glory”.
A press release states: “An ambitious idea with a small budget, Nick is asking for phone footage to piece together – short clips (no more than 2 minutes, preferably less) that mean something to you – video selfie portraits, miracles of nature and natural disaster, the sacred and profane. It could be footage of the person you love, video you shot at a protest, or something ordinary that you find beautiful.
“Themes could be mercy, anger, splendour, grief, solitude, yearning, revelation, glory.”
The overall piece intends to be “a kind of spiritual portrait of the world at this time.”
The film will accompany Nick’s ‘Seven Psalms’ collection, which is available on limited edition 10″ vinyl and via streaming services now.
The project comprises seven spoken word pieces set to music and a 12-minute instrumental, all recorded in the sessions for Nick and Warren Ellis’ 2021 album ‘Carnage’.
Nick, 64, said: “While in lockdown I wrote a number of psalms, or small, sacred songs – one a day for a week. The seven psalms are presented as one long meditation—on faith, rage, love, grief, mercy, sex and praise. A veiled, contemplative offering borne of an uncertain time. I hope you like it.”
It marked the longtime collaborators in Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and Grinderman’s first full-length release as a duo.
The pair are known for their work in film music, having provided scores for both film and stage productions.

OHMYGOSSIP — Machine Gun Kelly’s helicopter prop that transports him to the stage malfunctioned at his recent Detroit gig.
The ‘Twin Flame’ rocker was performing at Little Caesars Arena on Sunday night (04.07.22) when the helicopter he hangs from on a ladder suffered some turbulence.
In a clip posted by a gig-goer to TikTok, MGK – whose real name is Colson Baker – said after the wobble: “Thank you, Lord, for keeping me alive.”
The ‘Dirt’ star is currently on his mammoth ‘Mainstream Sellout Tour’ in support of the album of the same name.
The incident comes after the ‘my ex’s best friend’ rapper was left bloodied by a champagne flute after trying to clink it in a toast.
The 32-year-old musician shouted “I don’t give a s***” before smashing the glass against his face during an after-party at Catch Steakhouse following his Madison Square Garden concert in New York City last Tuesday (28.06.22)
He later admitted he felt “like s***” after it left him with a gash above his eye.
Appearing on ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’ the following evening, a cut could still be seen above his eyebrow as he chatted with the 48-year-old host.
MGK told comedian Meyers he didn’t have a fork to make the traditional gesture of clinking it against the champagne flute, so he decided to smash the glass into his head to grab the crowd’s attention.
He said: “You know when you clink a champagne glass with a fork to kind of (get people’s attention)? Yeah, well, I didn’t have a fork, so I just clinked it on my head.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Graham Gouldman claims 10cc were offered the legends slot at Glastonbury.
The ‘I’m Not In Love’ hitmaker says it’s unlikely they’ll make it to Worthy Farm to play the Sunday afternoon teatime slot reserved for iconic artists because organisers Emily and Michael Eavis would like the original line-up – also including Kevin Godley, Lol Creme and Eric Stewart – to play the Pyramid Stage.
The 76-year-old star told the Daily Mail newspaper’s Eden Confidential column: “We’ve had an offer to play the legends slot at Glastonbury.
“But they want the original line-up to reform. I don’t think that’s likely.”
In 2012, 10cc embarked on a 40th anniversary tour, however, the only original member to hit the road was Graham.
The touring line-up currently comprises Graham, Paul Burgess, Rick Fenn, Keith Hayman and Iain Hornal.
10cc formed in Stockport in 1972, and between 1972 to 1978, 10cc had five consecutive UK Top 10 albums.
Kevin and Lol quit the band in 1976 due to artistic disagreements and became a duo, while Eric departed in 1995.
Meanwhile, Graham has joined forces with Queen legend Brian May, 74, on the track ‘Floating In Heaven’, which is out next week.
He said: “I’m releasing a track with Brian next week called ‘Floating In Heaven’. It’s to accompany the first images from NASA’s James Webb Telescope.”
Back in March, the guitar god shared a clip of the pair in his studio and teased a collaboration.
The ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ hitmaker wrote in the caption: “An illustrious visitor to my studio – Graham Gouldman – songwriter with a huge pedigree ! We had fun ! OHMYGOSSIP — Example says ice baths and meditation make him feel “younger and hungrier”.
The ‘Kickstarts’ rapper admits he used to laugh at people who believed in “energies and spirituality”, however, he’s since been on his own wellness journey and he credits everything going well in his life to the “law of attraction” and putting good energy into the world.
In an interview with CULTR, the 40-year-old star – whose real name is Elliot Gleave – said: “I didn’t believe in energies and spirituality, and I kinda thought all of that was all a load of mumbo jumbo, I’d be like… Don’t talk to me about star signs you f****** idiot, I suppose you believe in ghosts too?! But now, I believe in the law of attraction and good things happening to good people, dependant on the energy you put out in the world, and now, all things are working well in every area of my life!”
Example had a chat with music legend Goldie, 56, about his spiritual journey, and while he’s not got the “patience” for yoga like the drum and bass icon, the ‘Changed The Way You Kiss Me’ hitmaker makes sure to stretch “at least five times a week”.
He also does a mixture of “hot and cold treatments” that bring him “clarity”, and when he’s on the road, Example makes sure he has a “massage gun and compression shocks” with him.
Example – who released his eighth studio album ‘We May Grow Old But We Never Grow Up’ last month – added: “Funny enough… The first person I spoke to about this all is Goldie. He’s lived most people’s lives in the first 20 years of his, he’s literally done everything. But he reckons yoga saved his life. I didn’t quite have the patience for it like he did, but now I stretch at least five times a week and I use saunas and ice baths a lot. I just turn the lights off and listen to quiet music and sort of meditate. You wake up the next day feeling younger and hungrier, and just the amount of clarity you get from those hot and cold treatments is incredible! Like, Brixton, at the tail end of my last tour, my legs were so bad I almost couldn’t do it, I’d been performing every few days, I could hardly walk but someone came to work on my legs for about an hour before I went on stage. When you’re in your 20s, you think you’re indestructible, I was wearing the wrong shoes and not getting the right amount of rest. But now, I’m more conscious of looking after myself. I have a massage gun and compression socks and all this stuff, because it really takes it out of you!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bastille will perform at The Hundred final on 3 September.
The ‘Pompeii’ hitmakers will take to the stage at the men’s and women’s final at Lords at the end of the cricket competition and they “can’t wait” to be there, both to perform, and to watch the fast-paced tournament.
They said in a statement: “We are really looking forward to being part of The Hundred Final this year. Woody in particular is a big cricket fan and loves what The Hundred has brought to the summer sporting schedule. Needless to say, we can’t wait to be there!”
The Hundred kicks off on 3 August and all 34 games will feature live music curated in collaboration with BBC Music Introducing, ensuring fans are connected with both new and established artists who began the career on the platform.
Among the artists appearing across the country at grounds including Lord’s and The Kia Oval in London, Edgbaston in Birmingham, Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester, Cardiff’s Sophia Gardens, Leeds’ Headingley, the Ageas Bowl in Southampton and Trent Bridge in Nottingham will be English Teacher, Lottery Winners, Samm Henshaw, Priya Ragu and Tamera.
Last year’s debut The Hundred saw the likes of Becky Hill, Everything Everything, Sports Team and LAuranHibberd take to the stage.
Sophie Ecclestone, Manchester Originals star said, “The music last year was amazing, Lizelle and myself even had time for a little dance to Becky Hill during the opening game!
“It added so much to the competition and showed The Hundred is all about unmissable action on and off the pitch. I can’t wait to get a front row seat this summer and hopefully we can be dancing to Bastille after winning the competition.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Tommy Lee has returned to the stage to play his first full gig with Motley Crue since breaking four ribs in a freak accident.
The drummer was able to perform a full set during the band’s show at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina on Tuesday (28.06.22) just weeks after he hurt himself when fell down the stairs during a holiday in Nashville, Tennessee in June.
After the accident, Tommy continued with work and joined the band for the opening date of their new ‘The Stadium Tour’ in Atlanta, Georgia on June 16 – however, he was forced to cut the show short because he was in so much pain.
Tommy was replaced by session drummer Tommy Clufetos who took over from him behind the kit.
The 59-year-old star has since returned to the stage but has been unable to play full shows. At the band’s show in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania last weekend (25.26.06.22) he was only able to play on eight of the gig’s 15 songs.
Tommy’s wife Brittany Furlan recently revealed how her rocker spouse injured himself. The 35-year-old influencer told fans on Snapchat: “We were staying at an old rental house in Nashville. It was a cool, old quirky house. “But the stairs outside were made out of stones, and they were really uneven, and the roots were pushing them up from the tree. And everything was fine. I actually fell up the stairs a few times getting groceries, but whatever. So, the day that we were leaving Nashville, our driver came and we had all this luggage and he wasn’t helping us; he just stayed in the car. And so Tommy was trying to carry all of our luggage for us. And he fell down these crazy stairs and broke – broke – four ribs. Not fractured, not bruised – broke.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Wizkid has been added to the line-up for Gopuff delivers Wireless Festival 2022.
The Nigerian afrobeats superstar will play Birmingham NEC on July 8, for what marks the ‘Love My Baby’ star’s first performance at Wireless since 2017.
The final line-up additions also include New York rapper A Boogie wit da Hoodie and MOBO-winning Nines, who will play Crystal Palace on July 2.
Headliners this year include A$AP Rocky, J.Cole, Dave, Cardi B, SZA, Nicki Minaj and Tyler, The Creator.
Chris Brown – who made a surprise appearance at Wizkid’s concert at The O2 in London in November 2021 – is set to play Wireless for the first time in 12 years.
The ‘Loyal’ hitmaker will play Crystal Palace Park on July 1 and Birmingham’s Outdoor at the NEC on July 9.
The festival’s organisers announced on social media last month: “You asked? We deliver…ALWAYS.
“For the first time in 12 years… @chrisbrownofficial will return to the UK to shut down Crystal Palace and Birmingham.”
This year, Wireless is being held at three venues.
Crystal Palace will host the hottest stars in rap and hip-hop and more between July 1 and July 3, the festival will then move to Finsbury Park and Birmingham between July 8 to 10 July.

OHMYGOSSIP — Dua Lipa performed at Spotify Beach on day two of the Cannes Lions festival.
The 26-year-old singer put in a pulsating “hot and sweaty” performance at the spectacle in the South of France on Tuesday night (21.06.22).
Dua blasted out hits including ‘New Rules’, ‘Love Again’, ‘Break My Heart’, ‘Be The One’, and ‘Levitating’ among other top tracks.
At one point during her performance, she asked the jovial crowd: “You guys having a good time so far? You guys feeling as hot and sweaty as we are?”
Following a delighted response by her die-hard fans, she then said: “Alright, that’s what I want to hear.”
Grammy winner Dua – who has more than 74 million monthly listeners on Spotify – wore a green minidress for her barnstorming show, and Sir Elton John even appeared on-screen as she sang their ‘Cold Heart’ collaboration live.
There were also plenty of stars in the crowd to watch Dua, including Post Malone, Andy Cohen, Hasan Minhaj, Winston Duke, Maisie Williams, Dorit Kemsley and Garcelle Beauvais.
Earlier in the evening, Canadian record producer and DJ Kaytranada kicked things off in style with a stellar set that included ‘Meditation’, ‘At All’ and ‘Leave Me Alone’.
Elsewhere, on the Representation Behind The Mic Panel, Jemele Hill, founder of the Unbothered Podcast Network and host of Spotify’s ‘Jemele Hill is Unbothered’, was joined by Society of Voice Arts and Sciences Co-founder and Vice President Joan Baker to discuss the importance of diversity and ongoing efforts to bolster inclusivity.

OHMYGOSSIP — Rita Ora is back has teamed up with DJ Netsky for a new summer anthem.
The pair have joined forces with producer Stargate to create sizzling song ‘Barricades’, which will also be accompanied by a music video, and Rita is “beyond excited” for her fans to hear the new tune.
She said: “It’s been amazing to work with Netsky on ‘Barricades’.
“It’s an honour to get to work with such a talented producer, especially on a track like this.
“Collaborating on another Drum n Bass record a decade after my first number one ‘Hot Right Now’ with DJ Fresh, feels like coming home, and I’m beyond excited for everyone to hear it. I hope they love dancing to it as much as I do.”
The video was filmed in Los Angles and directed by Joe Mischo, who is well known for helming singer-songwriter Conan Gray’s music videos.
Speaking about his and Rita’s collaboration, Netsky said: “I’ve wanted to work with Rita since I heard ‘RIP’, so it was really special to get her and Stargate together in the studio again.
“We wanted to make a song that really showcased the power of her voice. The song is about the battles people go through being in love. We combined the simple beauty of pop with the power of breaks/drum and bass.
“I want to make dance music that has honesty and emotion – I think this song is that.”
Rita currently holds the record for the most Top 10 singles for a British female artist in the UK in history with a total of 13.

The house music legend, 60, has claimed she wasn’t contacted by the megastar’s team to clear the sample of her 90s’ megahit on the ‘Crazy in Love’ hitmaker’s comeback single ‘Break My Soul’.
Speaking on ‘Good Morning Britain’, she said: “It doesn’t have to be confirmed. A singer knows her songs.
“My son called me and he’s like, ‘Mom, mom, you’re trending all over the place! Beyoncé put her song out and it’s ‘Show Me Love’ and you’re trending everywhere!”
However, she is honoured to be featured on a track with the former Destiny’s Child star.
Asked if she’d like to collaborate with Beyoncé, she replied: “That’s always [the] dream.”
Robin added: “This message goes out to the Queen Bey – herself – Beyoncé, to Jay-Z, to the entire team. Thank you so much for giving me my flowers while I’m still alive.
“I am honoured and I’m excited to see what else can happen.”
‘Break My Soul’, the lead single from the ‘Single Ladies’ hitmaker’s upcoming collection, ‘Renaissance’, also samples ‘Explode’ by Big Freedia.
And the 44-year-old rap legend admitted it’s “surreal” being on a track with “Queen” Beyoncé.
She tweeted: “It feels surreal to be on the track with the Queen Beyonce once again I’m so honored to be apart of this special moment I’m forever grateful lord someone please catch me #beyonce #bigfreedia #BreakMySoul (sic)”
Beyoncé is set to release her new album on July 29, and it’s believed the follow-up to 2016’s ‘Lemonade’ will drop in multiple parts.
The ‘Halo’ hitmaker is on the cover of British Vogue’s July issue, and the publication’s editor-in-chief Edward Enninful teased what’s to come from the superstar.
He wrote: “New music is coming – a thrilling abundance of it…
“The creation has been a long process, she explains, with the pandemic giving her far longer to spend thinking and re-thinking every decision. Just the way she likes it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Take That are working on a new album.
Frontman Gary Barlow, 51, has revealed the ‘Patience’ hitmakers – completed by Mark Owen, 50, and Howard Donald, 54 – have been working remotely on the follow-up to 2017’s ‘Wonderland’, which will be released next year, and they are also plotting a world tour for 2024.
In an interview with The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column, he said: “We’ve kind of started already. We’ve learnt to work remotely because we live in different parts of the world.
“So I’ll send off a chorus and say, ‘Let me know what you think, lads’, then it will be back a few days later and it’s had a little more written on it.
“You’ll hear a single just before the summer next year and the album will be released around October. And the following year we’ve put the whole of it aside for a world tour. We haven’t done a world tour for years. So we will take this new record everywhere and there will be a few surprise places that we haven’t toured before.”
Mark is California-based and has been busy with his solo career, with his fifth solo album, ‘Land Of Dreams’, set for release on September 23.
Howard, meanwhile, has been DJ’ing and Gary’s latest ventures include launching his own brand of wine, Gary Barlow Organic Rose.
Gary insists the ‘Giants’ hitmakers have a lot left they want to achieve together yet, and he believes they will be around for “years” to come yet.
He said: “We’re feeling ambitious and ready for hard work. Music isn’t about repetition, so we always want to feel like we are moving forward and chasing new dreams.
“We’ve done a lot as Take That but we haven’t achieved everything we want to achieve. I believe we have years to go yet.”
Take That also have a movie coming out, ‘Greatest Days’, as does former member Robbie Williams, 48.
And Gary says his former bandmate has been a “bugger” teasing them over who will portray them in his biopic.
He laughed when asked who he’d have play himself: “He will have to be very tall, and very thin. Rob has really teased us about this. He’s said, ‘You wait until you see who we’ve picked for you’ the bugger.”
Gary added: “We can’t wait to see it. Rob’s had a colourful life and that story needs to be told. And what’s lovely is, we also have our own movie with our songs in, and you think, ‘Wow, after all these years, we’ve both got movies out’. It’s a good place to be.”
