OHMYGOSSIP — Def Leppard weren’t planning to release another album until the pandemic struck.
The ‘Pour Some Sugar On Me’ rockers returned with their first album in almost seven years in May, ‘Diamond Star Halos’, but frontman Joe – who is joined by Phil Collen, Vivian Campbell, Rick Savage and Rick Allen in the glam rock band – admits it was only because they had nothing else to do amid the COVID-19 crisis that they decided to make a record remotely.
In an interview with the new issue of Goldmine magazine – of which they are the cover stars – Joe said: “When we look back to how it all started out.
“We didn’t set out to make an album, but the pandemic offered us an opportunity to do one because there was literally nothing else we could do, except waste time, which is not really in our DNA.
“We were due on the road in 2020, in the middle of June.
“So, rehearsals were gonna be in May.
“Everybody was coming to my studio in Ireland, 22nd of March.
“They were due in until all the flights were cancelled and lockdown was announced.
“We had no idea how long lockdown was gonna last.
“Is it gonna be a week, two weeks or a month, two months, three months?
“Once we realised that we couldn’t actually get together, I got on the phone with Phil, who was in California.
“Within about 40 minutes of this phone call, we had tipped everything that we had onto the metaphorical table and said, ‘OK, great, we’ve got seven songs that we could be working on until the pandemic clears.
“But it never cleared, so we kept working and we worked these seven songs, and me and Phil over the spring and summer of 2020 wrote five more.”
Fortunately, due to living in different parts of the world, they were used to remote working.
‘Diamond Star Halos’ reached the top 5 in the Official UK Albums Chart.

OHMYGOSSIP — Tyler the Creator has accused some of his old collaborators of selling his music.
The 31-year-old rapper and producer took to Twitter to claim that two former colleagues had stolen his music and were selling it on Discord without his permission.
He alleged: “b deshay and tyler major selling old songs of mine is wild ha, all them discordd kids are sus especially 3D glass pacifist whatever the hell he called, copping stolen s*** is like damnnnn u thirsty as hell ok
“like bruh that shit is true personal stolen stuff and n***** is like gb gb like damn bro you that thirsty for 2 minute drafts / few hundred bucks get it together fellas. subliminal tried to get on a call like no bro, just stop, its not cool dawggy (sic).”
Meanwhile, Tyler recently praised Kendrick Lamar for his fifth album ‘Mr. Morale The Big Steppers’.
He said: “N****s don’t know how to give each other hugs and I hope we get past that. We will, though. The younger kids is like, ‘What’s up, bro? You good?’ We gotta cut the b******* and just start being super open and honest.”
“And that’s what Kendrick just did with his new album… I love that album, but I feel like he touches on s*** that’s so, like, open and honest that some people can’t listen to it because they probably feel like he’s looking at them in their eyes and they’re like, ‘Oh, I can’t panic. Uhhh, I can’t listen to this. Put on something else so I can hit my dougie’. And keep forgetting and numbing the s*** that he’s talking about.

OHMYGOSSIP — Christine McVie would want Lindsey Buckingham back in Fleetwood Mac if the ‘Rumours’ line-up toured again.
The 78-year-old singer-and-keyboardist doesn’t think it’s likely that herself, Lindsey Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood, Christine McVie, John McVie, and Stevie Nicks will get back together for one final run.
But she would love to see the ousted guitarist back in the line-up should it happen.
Speaking to Rolling Stone magazine, Christine said: “Personally, I’d love to think it could happen.
“But honestly, I really can’t see it happening.
“I don’t know. I’ve been wrong before.”
On whether she would rehire Lindsey, she replied: “I’d always want Lindsey back. He’s the best.”
Lindsey was fired in 2018, with Crowded House’s Neil Finn and Mike Campbell replacing him, but Mick Fleetwood recently admitted he hopes they can “make music” again after reconciling last year.
Speaking to Gary Kemp and Guy Pratt on the ‘Rockonteurs’ podcast, he said: “The thought of walking on stage and Lindsey being part of that would be very healing.
“That’s not saying goodbye to Mike or Neil, we don’t behave like that, but something connective.
“I believe that me and Lindsey will make some music together like he did with Christine, and I would love that, no matter what unbridged feels there are that aren’t healed for all their own personal reasons.
“I would hope to be the instigator of making all that happen before we knock it all on the head.”
The pair put the past behind them after Mick had insisted there was no chance of Lindsey rejoining the band.
He said: “I’ve really enjoyed being re-connected with Lindsey, which has been gracious and open. And both of us have been beautifully honest about who we are and how we got to where we were.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lisa Scott-Lee thinks that being in Steps is “more than a job.”
The 46-year-old pop star – who is married to former Hear’Say singerr Johnny Shentall, 43, and has children Jaden, 14, and 12-year-old Star Lily with him – is part of the dance group alongside Faye Tozer, Lee Latchford Evans, Claire Richards, and Ian ‘H’ Watkins and is “grateful” to be a member because it is how she met her husband.
Speaking live on stage at the Kubix Festival on Saturday (09.07.22), she told the crowd: “Steps is not just a job it’s my life, I’m so grateful. I met my wonderful husband and I have my Star Lily here tonight who I’m sure will replace me one day!”
The ‘One For Sorrow’ hitmakers – who formed in 1997 and split in 2001 before reuniting in 2011 – are currently on tour and took to the stage to headline the annual Sunderland festival to a crowd of thousands at Herrington Park with renditions of their classic hits as well as some new songs from their latest album ‘What the Future Holds.’
Steps stormed the stage in matching platinum silver outfits as a nod to their 25th anniversary and opened with a remixed version of their 1999 hit ‘Love’s Got a Hold of my Heart’ before going straight into Latin-inspired Summer of Love’ from 2000.
Steps worked their way through a selection of their hits including their cover of Kylie Minogue classic ‘Better the Devil You Know’, remixed with Madonna’s ‘Vogue’, as well as debut single ‘5,6,7,8,’ – complete with cowboy hats in a nod to the famous line-dancing routine – and newer songs such as ‘Something in Your Eyes’ before eventually closing out their set with their best-selling single ‘Tragedy.’
Prior to the headlining act, the Tyne and Wear audience were also treated to a performance by Steps’ fellow 90s stars Aqua – who gave a barnstorming rendition of their classic ‘Barbie Girl’ as well as several other disco hits – and the Vengaboys with the ever-classic floor fillers ‘Ibiza’ and ‘We Like to Party!’
Steps’ 25th Anniversary Tour is set to continue across various festivals in the UK throughout the summer before wrapping up at Birmingham Pride in early September.

OHMYGOSSIP — Nazareth’s Manny Charlton has died aged 80.
The musician formed the Scottish hard rock band in Dunfermline in 1968 with Dan McCafferty, Darrell Sweet and Peter Agnew.
And bassist Peter, 75, confirmed the news of Manny’s passing to Classic Rock.
He said: “When Manny joined, he was the first guy to suggest writing songs of our own.
We’d never even thought of it ’til then, because they employed you as human jukebox. Then suddenly Zeppelin, Purple and Spooky Tooth started to appear, and a whole range of possibilities opened up.”
No cause of death was given.
Nazareth had a huge hit with ‘Hair of the Dog’ – the title track from their 1975 album – and a cover of the ballad ‘Love Hurts’.
The former was covered by Guns N’ Roses on their 1993 album ‘The Spaghetti Incident?’, and a riff from the Beatles’ ‘Day Tripper’ was added to the end as a joke.
Manny actually ended up working with Guns N’ Roses’ on 25 tracks for their 1987 LP ‘Appetite for Destruction’.
And although the songs they worked on didn’t make the final cut, they were later released on a deluxe reissue of the seminal album.
Manny once said of working with Axl Rose and co: “They were just a bunch of young guys living their rock’n’roll dreams and having the time of their lives.
“I never foresaw that they would become one of the biggest bands in rock history.”
Manny decided to end his tenure with Nazareth in 1990, following their tour of 1989’s ‘Snakes ’N’ Ladders’ album, the last album he featured on.
He went on to release his debut solo album ‘Drool’ in 1999.
His last lone record was 2016’s ‘Solo’.
In 2021, to mark his 80th birthday, Manny re-recorded Nazareth’s 1976 classic ‘Telegram’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Doja Cat is to appear on the ‘Barbie’ film soundtrack.
The ‘Say So’ hitmaker recently released ‘Vegas’ – which samples ‘Hound Dog’ – for the ‘Elvis’ biopic, and now it’s been revealed she’s been chosen to record another track for the Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling-led live-action film based on the iconic Mattel doll.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Producers think Doja is a perfect fit for the film and were determined to get her on board.
“They were really impressed with her song on the ‘Elvis’ soundtrack as well.
“Between that and the fact she’s one of the biggest stars on the planet right now it was a no-brainer.”
Further details regarding the track are yet to be revealed.
Margot previously opened up about the movie role in an interview with Vogue magazine, insisting the Greta Gerwig-directed film is not what most people expect it to be.
She explained: “It comes with a lot of baggage! And a lot of nostalgic connections. But with that come a lot of exciting ways to attack it. People generally hear ‘Barbie’ and think, ‘I know what that movie is going to be,’ and then they hear that Greta Gerwig is writing and directing it, and they’re like, ‘Oh, well, maybe I don’t.'”
The cast also includes Will Ferrell as the CEO of a toy company, Simu Lu as another Ken and Issa Rae as another Barbie.
‘Barbie’ is set to be released on July 21, 2023.

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga has reportedly hired a warehouse in London to hold rehearsals for her “most complex” stage show to date.
The ‘Hold My Hand’ hitmaker is pulling out all the stops for ‘The Chromatica Ball’ tour, which kicks off on July 17 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Gaga knows how long fans have been waiting for these shows and is putting everything into making them spectacular.
“She has splashed out on a warehouse in London for her team to secretly rehearse the show over and over until everything is exactly how she wants it.
“In terms of staging it’s probably the most complex she’s ever done — and that really is saying something as her tours are always impressive. The stage is huge — money clearly is no object.
“Visuals have been shot and right now it’s about tweaking things so everything goes smoothly and without a hitch.”
The show is set to feature both fan-favourite hits along with performances of songs from Gaga’s 2020 album ‘Chromatica’.
The superstar won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album in 2021 for the acclaimed LP.
The ‘Joanne’ singer worked with late producer SOPHIE – who died following an accidental fall in January 2021 – on the record.
Executive producer BloodPop said at the time of its release: “We worked with SOPHIE very early on. [She was] the first collaborator of those sessions. Those days were fun.
“We set up six microphones and recorded [Gaga’s] Lamborghini exhaust, and SOPHIE cut it up into samples. [Though they didn’t make the album], we still plan to finish those songs and present something special within the ‘Chromatica’ universe.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Calvin Harris’ next single is ‘Stay With Me’ with Justin Timberlake, Halsey and Pharrell.
The latest track from the eagerly-awaited and rather star-studded ‘Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 2’ will arrive on July 15.
The superstar DJ’s follow-up to 2017’s ‘Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1’ features the already released mega-hit ‘Potion’ with Dua Lipa and second single ‘New Money’ with 21 Savage.
The likes of Busta Rhymes, Charlie Puth and Snoop Dogg also appear.
The huge list was recently revealed on Calvin’s Instagram with an instrumental playing to the rolling waves as each name popped up.
The album will be released on August 5.
The first volume in 2017 included the hit ‘Feels’ featuring Pharrell, Katy Perry and Big Sean.
The ‘I Need Your Love’ hitmaker is currently completing a residency at the world-famous Ushuaïa Ibiza.
Calvin plays the super-club Fridays until September 2.
Meanwhile, the 38-year-old producer – who is engaged to Radio 1 DJ Vick Hope – previously admitted there’s been an element of luck behind his career success, suggesting his “reckless decisions” have paid off in spectacular fashion.
He said: “I got lucky in different ways.
“I wrote the right songs at the right time, I picked the right genre of music, I started DJing in the US at the right time. If I hadn’t made all of these reckless decisions, I wouldn’t have been put in that place. Every time I play in front of people I’m celebrating the fact I got out of that situation.”
Calvin topped Forbes’ list of the world’s highest-paid DJs for six consecutive years from 2013 to 2018 until being dethroned by The Chainsmokers in 2019.

OHMYGOSSIP — Machine Gun Kelly regrets the way he handled his feud with Corey Taylor.
The ‘Twin Flame’ star, 32, took aim at the Slipknot frontman, 48, during a festival performance last year, where he mocked the heavy metal singer for wearing masks on stage and “talking s***”.
The rock rapper had said on stage at Chicago’s Riot Fest: “You wanna know what I’m really happy that I’m not doing? Being 50 years old wearing a f****** weird mask on a f****** stage, talking s***.”
And in his new Netflix documentary ‘Life In Pink’, MGK admits he could have dealt with their spat better.
He said: “I could have handled it differently. I should have just picked up the phone and been like hey dude, ‘Why would you say that’? But, instead, we all acted ridiculous.”
MGK – whose real name is Colson Baker – claimed their feud dates back to when he asked Corey to guest on a song for his album ‘Tickets To My Downfall’, which was released in 2020.
The ‘my ex’s best friend’ star says he was annoyed by how “f****** terrible” the verse was and branded the ‘Before I Forget’ rocker “bitter”.
He tweeted: “Corey did a verse for a song on tickets to my downfall album, it was f****** terrible, so i didn’t use it.
“He got mad about it, and talked s*** to a magazine about the same album he was almost on. yalls stories are all off. just admit he’s bitter. (sic)”
Corey then hit back when he took to Twitter to reveal his alleged communication with Travis Barker, who executive-produced the record for MGK, about the verse, in which the Blink-182 drummer claimed that the latter was happy with his contribution, but Corey ultimately decided it wasn’t for him.
Alongside the screenshot, Corey wrote: “I don’t like people airing private s*** like a child. So this is all I’ll say: I didn’t do the track because I don’t like when people try to ‘write’ for me. I said NO to THEM. So without further ado…. #receipts
This is all I’m going to say about it.”
In the email, Corey wrote: “Nothing personal, I just think if this is what MGK is looking for, someone else is the guy to do it. It’s ALL good, and I’m stoked for him – I hope you guys find the right fit for it. Hope you understand and I wish you guys the best with it.”
MGK was allegedly “super inspired” by Corey’s vocals.
He told Corey via Travis: “Can u tell him he f*****’ killed it and im stoked and HONORED he is even on it wtf !!! (sic)”
However, the Stone Sour frontman was not keen on the changes they had made to the song, which was called ‘Can’t Look Back’ and was a bonus track.
He said: “I sent Corey an idea for the second half of his verse and he can obviously say f*** it but it would be sick to see if it inspired anything or if he could try it like that.
“I laid a demo screami-ish type track under his first part of the verse that would be dope to hear in his ‘Psychosocial’ voice.”
MGK responded: “Basically, your verse was really bad. Respectfully, i was just telling you to rewrite it because it was really bad. respectfully. (sic)”
Before MGK sparked the feud with the stage diss, Corey appeared to take a veiled swipe at the ‘bloody valentine’ rocker for jumping from rap to punk rock on his latest LP.
Corey had said in an interview: “I hate all new rock for the most part. I [hate] the artists who failed in one genre and decided to go rock and I think he knows who he is.”
And MGK responded on the micro-blogging site: “Very odd that when an artist talks s***, and I respond, I’m the bad guy.”

The ‘Waterfall’ singer treated guests and VIPs to the first live performance of her new single ‘Hard Out Here’ at Amazon’s Prime Day Dream House at the Village Underground in London on Wednesday (06.07.22) and she admitted she’s excited to be working as an independent artist after parting ways with her former record company Polydor.
She tearfully aid on stage: “I’m independent now, this is a big moment guys. I was with a major label for seven years of my life. I went on Twitter and I was like please let me be free and thanks to you lot, I managed to find my way out. I’m not chasing the chart now, I’m doing my own thing.”
Raye admitted to fans she was coming close to a wardrobe malfunction as her pink suit jacket slipped to reveal a matching bra.
She quipped: “My outfit is gonna come off soon, guy’s its slowly coming off.”
Despite the party atmosphere at the event, the ‘Secrets’ singer stayed away from alcohol.
She admitted: “I can’t sing and drink, if I take a shot of tequila before I can’t hit the notes right.”

Although the 51-year-old rapper admitted there can be huge pressure to deliver a worthy follow-up to a successful first album, she insisted that it is important artists take risks when working on new material.
She tweeted: “Sophomore albums are a very PIVOTAL time for artist. Your sophomore album be stressful but it’s the BEST ALBUM to EXPERIMENT on! Don’t be AFRAID! Becuz If u play safe you will be BOXED in its hard to get out because your fans get used to that 1 sound.
“Secondly! Dear Artist Listen CLOSELY! Go with the songs you feel you should drop not what everyone else suggest! You the Artist must FEEL it YASEL because YOU are the one that have have to SELL it CONVINCE ppl it’s HOT Go with your GUT! Fearless (sic).”
Missy released her debut album ‘Supa Dupa Fly’ in 1997 and followed it up two years later with ‘Da Real World’.

Speaking previously about the pressure on her while making the album, Missy said: “I can’t even explain the pressure. The last album took me a week to record. This one took almost two months. I couldn’t rush it the second time because people expect more.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Axl Rose has been working with a vocal coach ahead of Guns N’ Roses return to the stage in Munich tonight (08.07.22).
The ‘Civil War’ rockers were forced to postpone their show at Glasgow Green, Scotland earlier this week due to “illness”.
The frontman had told the crowd at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last Saturday night (02.07.22) that he had slept at the venue after struggling to hit the high notes and falling poorly.
The 60-year-old rocker said: “I slept here last night… I’ll be switching the songs around a little bit.”
And in a fresh health update, Axl told fans in a typed-out message posted to his personal social media pages on Thursday (07.07.22): “We apologize 4 the inconvenience of postponing Glasgow.
“I’ve been following Dr’s orders, getting rest w/a vocal coach n’ sorting our r sound issues. Seems good so far. Thanks again 4 everyone’s concern! (sic)”
The ‘It’s So Easy’ rockers play the Olympic Stadium in Munich, Germany.
A previous statement regarding the Glasgow show cancellation read : “Sadly, due to illness and medical advice, GN’R will not be able to perform in Glasgow, tomorrow 5-July-2022.
“We are working on rescheduling options for this show so please hold onto your tickets and wait for a further update. We appreciate your understanding and patience.”
Meanwhile, fans were allegedly left waiting two hours to get into Tottenham’s ground.
The ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’ rockers played two nights at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but due to the delay, opening act Gary Clark Jr. couldn’t perform.
What’s more, they played a shorter set on the second night (03.07.22) going from 22 songs to 19.
‘November Rain’ and ‘Rocket Queen’ were among the songs left out.

OHMYGOSSIP — Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock has been in the studio with RAYE.
After the chart-topping girl group – also comprising Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall – went on hiatus last month following their farewell ‘Confetti Tour’, the girls have been focusing on their own solo ventures.
And the 30-year-old star has been busy penning new tunes with the 24-year-old singer-and-songwriter – who has co-written songs for none other than Beyonce and Anne-Marie.
Leigh-Anne re-shared a snap of the pair in the studio on her Instagram Story and gushed: “@raye you are a FORCEEEE. Your talent is so fricken inspiring. (sic)”
RAYE’s original post was captioned: “and today was beautiful “@leighannepinnock I’m so proud of this woman. (sic)”
The teaser of the pair working together comes after Leigh-Anne was the victim of a leak after her debut solo single, ‘I Need You’, circulated online.
Warner Music swiftly had links to the recording taken down.
The clip was replaced with a notice of a copyright claim by the owner, which read: “This media has been disabled in response to a report by the copyright owner.”
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “This track is an extremely early demo.
“Bosses acted quickly and are determined to get to the bottom of how it appeared online because only a handful of people had heard it.
“They are taking it extremely seriously. Leigh-Anne is working hard to give fans the music they deserve.”
Leigh-Anne has also been writing with Tayla Parx, who co-wrote the girl group’s hit single ‘Sweet Melody’.
According to the newspaper, Leigh-Anne is set to drop her last name for her solo releases.
The 30-year-old star has bought the domain Leigh-Anne.com, which is currently “under construction”.
Meanwhile, it’s not just music Leigh-Anne is getting into during Little Mix’s break, the pop singer is also writing a book.
Leigh-Anne – who has 10-month-old twins with fiance Andre Gray – has a number of projects in the pipeline, including a tome expanding on the topics covered in her BBC Three documentary ‘Race, Pop and Power’.
In March, it was reported that Leigh-Anne was negotiating with several publishing houses over the rights to her memoir.

OHMYGOSSIP — Johnny Depp and Jeff Beck have released their cover of ‘The Death And Resurrection Show’.
The Hollywood actor has been on the road performing with the legendary musician – who has been friends with since 2016 – and the Killing Joke cover is the latest to be released from the pair’s upcoming joint album ’18’, which has been in the making since 2019.
The collection boasts “Depp originals along with a wide range of covers that touches on everything from Celtic and Motown, to the Beach Boys and Killing Joke.”
Beck said in a statement: “When Johnny and I started playing together, it really ignited our youthful spirit and creativity. We would joke about how we felt 18 again, so that just became the album title too.”
At the duo’s shows, they have been performing their rendition of John Lennon classic ‘Isolation’, which is included on the digital and CD version of the LP.
The 13-tracker also includes Depp’s previously released original track, ‘This Is A Song For Miss Hedy Lamarr’, which he sought approval of the estate of late Austrian-born American actress Hedy Lamarr before releasing.
Depp, 55, asked Beck to play lead guitar on the ode to the ‘Dishonored Lady’ star, and the rest is history.
Becks said: “I was blown away by it.
“That song is one of the reasons I asked him to make an album with me.”
The other original tune is ‘Sad Mother*****’ Parade’.
Hollywood Vampires rocker Depp remarked: “It’s an extraordinary honour to play and write music with Jeff, one of the true greats and someone I am now privileged enough to call my brother.”
Beck hopes the album will make people take the ‘Chocolat’ star “seriously as a musician”.
The 78-year-old guitar god added: “I haven’t had another creative partner like him for ages.
“He was a major force on this record. I just hope people will take him seriously as a musician because it’s a hard thing for some people to accept that Johnny Depp can sing rock and roll.”
’18’ will be available on CD and digitally, with a 180-gram black vinyl version on September 30. The cover features an illustration of Beck and Depp when they were both 18 and is drawn and designed by Beck’s wife Sandra.
Away from his Hollywood career, Depp is known for his band The Hollywood Vampires, with Alice Cooper and Aerosmith’s Joe Perry.
Beck played guitar on their track ‘Welcome To Bushwackers’ from their 2019 LP ‘Rise’.
Depp has been focusing on his music since he won his multi-million defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard last month.

OHMYGOSSIP — The 1975 have kickstarted their new era with the folky new single ‘Part Of The Band’.
The first taste of the ‘Somebody Else’ group’s fifth studio album ‘Being Funny In A Foreign Language’ is finally out, and it comes with added vocals from singer-songwriter Japanese Breakfast.
The pop artist – whose real name Michelle Zauner – tweeted: “got to sing a little on this for my fave band (sic)”
The lyrics include a tongue-in-cheek reference to lead vocalist Matt Healy’s past substance abuse: “Am I ironically woke? The butt of my joke? Or I am just some post-coke, average, skinny bloke calling his ego imagination?”
The 11-track collection is due for release on October 12.
The indie pop band are set to make their live comeback at Japan’s Summer Sonic festival in August.
The ‘Chocolate’ group will headline the festival in Tokyo and Osaka on August 20 and 21, following a two-year break from the road.
Meanwhile, Matt previously revealed that being forced to take a break from touring amid the Covid-19 pandemic had been good for the band.
He wrote in a letter to fans: “Hello to all my darling The 1975 fans!! I do hope you are all well, considering how difficult things have been this year. It’s Matty here. I’ve been daydreaming about playing shows today – and although we definitely needed a break, I can’t tell you how much we miss spending those evenings with you guys.
“I think it’s fair to say that we maybe bit off slightly more than we could chew when it came to doing two full albums back to back. I don’t think the records suffered – if anything I think it gave them a strange energy and the last two records happen to be my favourites – but it definitely took its toll on us as individuals. It was wicked tho, beautiful! Like being beaten up by a magical unicorn!
“We had been either on tour or in the studio for nearly 8 years straight or some s*** – and I think that jolt that we ALL felt (globally) back in March as COVID-19 impacted all our lives provided us with a moment to reflect on stuff. (sic).

OHMYGOSSIP — The HU have announced their eagerly-awaited second studio album, ‘Rumble of Thunder’.
The Mongolian rockers – who combine traditional instruments from their home nation with modern US hard rock – have shared their new single ‘Black Thunder’ taken from the 12-track collection.
The accompanying music video comes in two parts and “conveys their core values”.
The follow-up to their acclaimed 2019 debut studio album, ‘The Gereg’, was recorded in their homeland of Mongolia and reflects their “pride in our culture”.
Vocalist Gala said in a press release: “‘Black Thunder’ is the crown jewel of our second album. The music video is split into two parts and conveys the core values of men through visuals. Our producer Dashka chose a unique location in Mongolia to shoot the video, where we had a great time riding the horses in the vast grassland of our countryside. We hope that our pride in our culture shines through, as we aimed to bring viewers joy and a piece of our culture through this video.”
On the LP, he added: “Our second album will include ‘Black Thunder’, along with many new songs. We can’t wait for you to listen and enjoy it as much as we enjoyed recording it.”
The upcoming record, due for release on September 2, also includes May’s ‘This Is Mongol’, which has garnered more than a million streams in less than two months.
This summer, The HU play North America with Megadeth, Five Finger Death Punch, and Fire From The Gods. They’ll then bring their ‘Black Thunder Tour’ to the UK and Europe later this year, kicking off in Oslo, Norway on October 26, and finishing in London at the Roundhouse on December 9.
