OHMYGOSSIP — Gene Simmons has insisted KISS will “continue” beyond touring.
The ‘Rock and Roll All Nite’ group are planning to bow out of live gigs after their ‘End of the Road’ farewell tour – which keeps getting extended – meets its conclusion.
However, the 72-year-old rocker says KISS will still stick around in some form and do things he hasn’t “even thought of”, hinting at a musical show about the ‘Crazy Crazy Nights’ hitmakers.
Speaking on Dean Delray’s’ Let There Be Talk’ podcast, he said: “KISS the touring band will stop. But the touring band. KISS will continue in other ways. I have no problems with four deserving 20-year-olds sticking the makeup back on and hiding their identity.”
He added: “KISS will continue in ways that even I haven’t thought of.
“But I can conceive of… You know, the ‘Blue Man Group’ and ‘Phantom Of The Opera’ tours around the world with different personnel.
“There could and should be a KISS show, kind of live on stage with effects and everything else, but also semi-autobiographical thing about four knuckleheads off the streets of New York that ends with the last third as a full-blown celebration, a full-on performance. Not with us. Although not a problem stepping in every once in a while.”
As as well as wrapping up the tour and a number of festival dates, Gene previously said the band plans to reschedule their postponed Las Vegas residency, which was due to kick off at Sin City’s Zappos Theater in December 2021.
He said: “Definitely, oh definitely.
“Our original plan was to come in just before New Year’s, but it was just too busy.
“When I came into town and joined my friend Dave Grohl onstage [on December 4], that same night you could see George Strait at T-Mobile Arena, literally across the street. You go down the street and you can see many more artists. I mean, it’s packed. There are more artists per square inch in a city that never sleeps than anyplace on the planet.”
On when it could take place, he said: “In a year, maybe half a year. With all due respect to other all the other artists who are terrific, and who are great and iconic, we’d rather wait for the traffic to die down and bring the best show on Earth, period.”
Gene previously admitted it was time for the group to hang up their makeup kits as there is nothing worse for fans than watching their idols grow too old to perform to the fullest on stage.
The glam metal rockers – also comprising Paul Stanley, 70, Eric Singer, 64, and Tommy Thayer, 61 – said in 2018 that they would stage a massive farewell tour, before hanging up their stage personas.

OHMYGOSSIP — Louis Tomlinson feels “gutted” after some of his unreleased tracks leaked online.
The 30-year-old singer – who shot to fame as part of One Direction – has called in label bosses after a series of his new tunes surfaced online, ahead of the release of his second album.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “To say Louis is gutted is an understatement. No one knows how these things happen but it’s beyond frustrating when they do.
“Bosses at his label are investigating. ‘All Along’ was written when Louis was working on his his debut album 2020 ‘Walls’ with a few writers but it never made the cut.”
Louis recently finished work on his second solo album.
The pop star also revealed that he enjoyed recording ‘Faith In The Future’ much more than his debut record.
Speaking about his approach to recording the album, Louis said: “I’ve enjoyed the process 20 times more than the first album.
“There was just so many different opinions on the first album and me trying to find my feet coming out of a band the size of One Direction, so there was just so much going on in my head.”
Louis also admitted that he still feels under pressure as a solo artist.
The singer enjoyed incredible success as part of One Direction, but he confessed that he’s still establishing himself as a solo artist.
Louis – who starred in the chart-topping band alongside Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Zayn Malik – said: “There’s still pressure obviously for me to deliver a good record … and me trying to find my feet coming out of a band as big as One Direction.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Megan Thee Stallion has claimed she paid Future $250,000 to feature on ‘Pressurelicious’.
The ‘Cash S***’ rapper has revealed the bumper paycheque she gave the 38-year-old hip-hop legend to drop a verse on the track on her latest record, ‘Traumazine’.
Appearing on ‘LA Leakers’ on Power 106 Los Angeles, she spilled: “I had the beat for ‘Pressurelicious,’ right? I recorded the song, and I recorded it one way. And I’m like, ‘You know what? This would really sound hard if Future was on it.
“So I feel like being a woman in the industry, reaching out to a man trying to get a feature is always going to be a task. You never know what to expect.”
The 27-year-old Grammy winner added: “They was like, ‘Okay, 250. He wants 250K.’ I was like, ‘OK, bet. Somebody go pull 250,000 out of the bank and go drop it off to Future and tell him I need the verse before he leaves [Miami].’”
The 18-song collection – which arrived last week – includes her Dua Lipa smash hit ‘Sweetest Pie, plus songs with Jhené Aiko, Rico Nasty and more.
And Megan recently declared herself “almost out” of her contract with 1501 Certified Entertainment as she claimed this is the final album she will release on the label amid her legal hassle with the company.
She told her fans – nicknamed Hotties – on Twitter: “We almost out.
Y’all know I always have problems with dropping my music under this label.
“[A]ll these games and having to go to court just to put out my art has been so stressful.”
She added: Thank you hotties for rocking with me through the bull**** WE ALMOST OUT LETS STAY FOCUSED AND RUN THIS LAST ONE UP. (sic)”
The 27-year-old star was countersued by 1501 over ‘Something for Thee Hotties’.
The ‘WAP’ hitmaker – whose real name is Megan Pete – filed a lawsuit against 1501 Certified Entertainment in February, “seeking a declaration that her album, ‘Something for Thee Hotties’ constituted an ‘Album’ as defined in the parties’ recording agreement.”
The record in question was released on October 29, 2021.
She claimed she was told on January 5, that the record was not classed as an album under her recording contract.
However, 1501 disagreed and filed a fresh lawsuit claiming the release was “made up of 21 recordings and includes spoken interlude recordings on which MTS does not appear as well as several previously-released recordings.”
They argued that the ‘Savage’ hitmaker was only featured on the whole release for less than 30 minutes and that her contract with them includes a clause that states that for it to constitute an album it “must include at least 12 new master recordings of her studio performances of previously unreleased musical compositions.”
However, Megan’s side insisted she was only told that it would have to be 45-minutes long.
She took to Twitter to call out the label for allegedly telling her she doesn’t make enough money for them one minute and wanting to make more money from her the next.
She penned: “First the man over my label said I don’t make him any money … now he counter suing trying to keep me on his label because he wants to make more money lol if I ain’t making you no money why not just drop me? (sic)”
In 2020, Megan accused the label of blocking the release of her new music.

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady A’s Charles Kelley has thanked their fans for the outpouring of support he’s received since he revealed his sobriety battle.
The ‘Need You Now’ hitmakers – completed by Hillary Scott, 39, and Dave Haywood, 40 – made the difficult decision to delay the ‘Request Line Tour’, which was due to kick off on August 13, until next year as they throw their support behind Charles as he embarks on his journey to sobriety.
And the 40-year-old singer has admitted the words of “encouragement” have “really lifted” him during this challenging time.
Sharing a picture on vacation with his wife Cassie and their son Ward, six, he wrote on Instagram: “I want to thank everyone who has shown me so much support and encouragement so far on my journey of sobriety.
“Y’alls kind words have meant the world to me and really lifted me up over the past few weeks. I can’t wait to get back on the road with Lady A next year. Getting on that stage and being able to see, hear and feel everything through a clearer lens is going to be a gift that I won’t take for granted. ⁣ I’m grateful for this time to focus on my family and my health.⁣ Love, Charles. (sic)”
In a social media statement posted last week, the band said: “Being on the road with our fans is our greatest joy, so it was a hard but important decision to make.
“We are a band, but more importantly… we’re family. We’re proud to say that Charles has embarked on a journey to sobriety.”
Back in 2020, the band formerly known as Lady Antebellum announced they were changing their name in response to the Black Lives Matter movement, as the word Antebellum has associations with slavery in the US.
They then got into a legal spat with the Blues singer Lady A – but the case was settled out of court earlier this year.
The “terms of the agreement, including who can continue to use what name or if any money changed hands, were not made public.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Rodrigo is reportedly back in the studio working on her second studio album.
After the whirlwind success of her record-breaking debut studio album, ‘Sour’, the 19-year-old pop superstar is said to have reunited with producer Dan Nigro, the studio wizard behind all but one of the 11 tracks on the chart-topping 2021 LP.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Olivia’s debut was one of the biggest in years. She really did something special when she was in the studio with Dan. She wants the follow-up to evolve her sound so it isn’t exactly the same.
“But she feels like she and Dan are a dream team when they get in the studio, so she is hoping they can make more magic together.
“Olivia had a few weeks off after the tour finished but she is champing at the bit to make headway on the second album.
“The last 18 months have been a complete whirlwind and while there is no rush to get new music out, she doesn’t want to leave it too long.”
The ‘good 4 u’ hitmaker getting ahead on her follow-up record comes just a month after she wrapped her ‘Sour Tour’ in London on July 7.
The former Disney Channel star recently insisted she won’t be getting her head turned by her success.
She said: “I definitely think it is a big confidence boost to see so many people resonate with what I have to say. I’m so grateful for that.
“I’m just always a little bit hard on myself. I’m always pushing myself to be better.
“And I think I’ll never change no matter the amount of success any of my songs get.”
The ‘drivers license’ hitmaker admitted the last year has been “crazy” and though everything around her has changed, she’s still the same person and her friends will always keep her grounded.
She said: “It’s so crazy, but I have amazing friends who are so honest with me and keep me grounded.
“My life has changed drastically, but at the end of the day, I’m really kind of like the same person doing the same things in my everyday life.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Minogue is set to begin work on a new album in 2023.
The 54-year-old superstar signed with industry giant BMG back in 2017 to release chart-topping albums ‘Golden’ and ‘Disco’ and record label president Alistair Norbury revealed that she will production will start on her 16th studio album next year.
He said: “So next year we’ll start our third album with Kylie, and we only expected to do one. So the roster is building to a size where it is almost self-sustaining. We already know our first Q1 and Q2 releases for next year.”
The ‘Real Groove’ hitmaker who back in 2020 became the first woman to top the charts in five different decades with the release of Disco’ – started her pop career under industry legends Stock Aitken Waterman back in 1987 before signing with Deconstruction Records in 1993 and eventually moved to Parlophone just before the tturn of the millennium where she achieved further success with worldwide hits ‘Spinning Around’ and ‘Can’t Get You Out of My Head.’
However, Alistair went on to explain that Kylie was led to BMG after fellow 1980s singer Rick Astley cut a deal with the label and because she joined the company other musicians such as former One Direction star Louis Tomlinson and ‘Anywhere’ songstress Rita Ora decided to follow suit.
He told Headliner Magazine: “On the label side, we very much enjoy this unique position of being our own entity with our own purpose. That works brilliantly when you are talking to our core artist community, which is iconic, established artists. We are seen as a home for artists who want to be respected and want creative control and total transparency in marketing budgets.
“And those artists are marketing BMG for us. The success of Rick Astley led to the success of Kylie, and the success of Kylie brought us Louis Tomlinson, who in turn attracted the interest of Rita Ora. We have been gifted by our shareholder the right to do deals that are very favourable for the artistic community.”

OHMYGOSSIP — The Offspring and their crew are safe after one of their SUVs caught fire in Canada.
The ‘Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)’ hitmakers were on the road to Rimouski, a city in Quebec when an item flew off the vehicle in front of them and sent flames soaring through their ride.
Fortunately, no one was injured and they made it on time to play Les Grandes Fetes TELUS festival on Saturday night (06.08.22), though personal items including passports and luggage didn’t make it.
The Dexter Holland-fronted group tweeted alongside footage of the black SUV on fire with billowing smoke and flames shooting out of it as cars continued to pass by: “While traveling through Canada yesterday, something flew off the vehicle in front of us and became wedged underneath one of our SUVs and it caught fire. Everyone got out safely, but the luggage, passports, laptops and pretty much everything else was destroyed.”
Reassuring their fans, the band added: “We are happy to report that everyone is doing ok and we’ve made it safely to Rimouski and will be performing tonight at Les Grandes Fetes TELUS. Hope to see everyone there!”
Guitarist Kevin ‘Noodles’ Wasserman added in his own post: “No one was hurt.
“Everyone got out of the vehicle unscathed… it could’ve been much worse. The band and I are so thankful and relieved that all involved are OK.
“Our crew do all the heavy lifting so that we look and sound as good as possible when we take the stage.
“They’re travel and workdays are always longer and more arduous than ours, and we can’t thank them enough for all they do.
“To see them have to go through something like this is heartbreaking and frightening. I am so glad they are all OK! (sic)”
The Offspring are currently touring North America in support of their latest LP ‘Let The Bad Times Roll’.

The K-Pop girl group – comprising Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa – released their debut single album ‘Square One’ on August 8, 2016, and each member has taken to social media to mark the milestone.
Jisoo, 27, wrote: “Happy 6th anniversary! My beloved BLACKPINK forever.”
Rosé, 25, paid a touching tribute to her bandmates and their fans.
She penned: “My beloved BLACKPINK members!! Happy 6th anniversary. Through the years we practiced together and the six years we spent promoting together since our debut, I have shared so many memories and learned so much from you.
“Thank you so much for being my members and my family.”
She added: “And to our Blinks, who have always supported us by our sides, I have nothing but endless gratitude for you.
“I’m so thankful for each and every memory.”
Jennie, 26, teased that “more good news” is on the way.
She wrote: “Its our birthday todayyyyy Happy 6th year anniversary to Blackpink and Blinks more good news coming for everyone! (sic)”
And Lisa, 25, added: “Can’t live without these girls. Happy BLACKPINK 6th year anniversary. This year will be another BIG year for us Love u (sic)”
‘Square One’ featured the two tracks ‘Boombayah’ and ‘Whistle’.
The anniversary comes as the ‘Sour Candy’ hitmakers announced their new single, ‘Pink Venom’, will arrive on August 19.
The track is taken from their eagerly-awaited second studio album ‘Born Pink’, which follows in September.
The quartet are poised to embark on a world tour in support of the record, dates for which will be unveiled in due course.

OHMYGOSSIP — The Big Pink have unveiled their long-awaited third studio album, ‘The Love That’s Ours’, and shared the new single ‘Rage’.
The indie shoegaze legends returned with their first new music in a decade earlier this year, in the form of singles ‘No Angels’ and ‘Love Spins On Its Axis’.
The tracks are taken from their upcoming follow-up to 2012’s ‘Future This’, which is set for release on September 30.
Frontman Robbie Furze – who reunited with original Big Pink drummer Akiko Matsuura and is joined by visual artist Charlie Barker on bass – admitted it had been both a “frightening and beautiful” journey making the record and he’s amazed they even got to this point.
He said in a statement: “Somehow we got here! Our record is about to be released. Thank f*** for that! Getting to this point has been one of the craziest journeys in my life. I truly thought this day would never come. I got so lost, so confused, went down so many rabbit holes, at times running completely blind, so much so that I nearly lost everything that was ever important to me, everything I ever truly loved. This record symbolises so much, it’s my flag on top of the summit. It shows that I finally understand what is truly important. This is the soundtrack of my journey to get here. It was frightening, but beautiful at the same time, full of fun, but hand-in-hand full of terror and sadness. The outcome is that I’m incredibly proud of this work that came out of all of it. I think these may be the best songs that I’ve ever written, they’re certainly the most honest. I would love to thank everyone who was involved in this record because without them we would have never got to this point and maybe I would have not been here at all. Thank you. Rx.”
The 44-year-old musician previously revealed how Wolf Alice’s Joel Amey inspired him to get the band back together when they toured together in 2018.
Robbie recalled: “We did some stuff with Wolf Alice when they came out to LA.
“I’m mates with Joel the drummer, and he asked us to go on tour with them. I’d been doing a few little demos of new stuff, but we agreed to do a set of the old stuff. We did a US tour with them in 2018 and that’s when I realised that this was my calling and I had to get back on stage – this is really what I wanted to do.
“I didn’t want to mess around with anything else. It was time to do The Big Pink again.”
The band – best known for 2009 classic ‘Dominos’ – teased a return to their early sound, but also promised a few “curveballs”.
Robbie teased: “The idea was to make a record that was true to what The Big Pink stand for and where we started from.
There’s a lot of the signature Big Pink sound as well as some curveballs like piano ballads on the record. There are a few songs that are going to different areas, but as a whole I just wanted to cement our sound.
“The first record, ‘A Brief History Of Love’, was such a moment for me. Like everyone’s first record, it was such an honest reaction to music and how we were feeling at that time. It’s difficult to do your second record and re-approach that honesty. I listen back to that first record sometimes and I can’t believe how confident it is. I don’t hate the second record, but it doesn’t have the same love that I have for the first.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sabrina Carpenter suffered anxiety before the release of her latest album.
The 23-year-old old singer’s fifth album ‘Emails I Can’t Send – her first with her new label Island Records – was released last month and Sabrina admitted she was very worried about the record before it dropped.
She told Vogue.com: “I feel like the only word that could describe it would be surreal, and just such a weight off of my shoulders. I think for this project, in particular, I had so much anxiety before releasing it. I just really didn’t know how it would be received—which is so funny, because the whole concept behind the album is these things that I never really want anyone to hear, and things that I never intended on saying to people. Having that time of my life sort held in these songs forever is as scary as it is really special.
“But I think the cool thing that happens when you release music, and it’s no longer yours, is that you start to see the way that people connect it to their lives, and you realize that something that you thought was such a specific memory or feeling is actually so universal, and that makes you feel a lot less lonely. It’s been so, so lovely hearing people say that to me.”
Sabrina also revealed that writing about personal situations has always been a way for her to heal.
She said: “Taking personal situations in my life and being able to turn them into art was always a way of healing myself, and also understanding those situations a bit better. And so nothing changed in that sense. I’ve always been writing from that very real place. But I’m also not naïve, and even the songs that are literally about nothing at all, I’m sure people would be able to take all kinds of things from them and run with it, because I think that’s just what people do, they love the dramatics and the theatrics of it all. But personally, I don’t ever write from a place of thinking about people hearing this, and thinking about what they might assume. Otherwise, I don’t think the songs would feel honest.”

OHMYGOSSIP — BTS are releasing a cookbook of their favourite recipes.
The South Korean septet – who in June announced they are focusing on solo projects for the time being – will soon give fans the chance to create the dishes they enjoy most when ‘BTS Recipe Book: Book of Tasty Stories’ is released later this year.
Available to pre-order now via the Weverse shop, the tome will offer an insight into how RM, Jin, Jungkook, J-Hope, V, Suga and Jimin feel when they are cooking the dishes.
There will also be QR codes linking to video guides with the band members.
A description of the cookbook read: “We hope that you will enjoy every moment as you follow the steps of these recipes, imagining the conversations and feelings of BTS when they were making these dishes.”
The book news comes days after the ‘My Universe’ hitmakers announced the return of their variety web show, ‘Run BTS’.
The K-Pop sensations haven’t shared a new episode of their online series – which sees them complete challenges, often with special episodes for holidays – for 10 months but recently shared they will be dropping a new special instalment, following the conclusion of its third series in October.
A teaser was posted at midnight on Tuesday (02.08.22) featuring the seven members.
In the clip for the show, which began in 2015, RM says: “BTS’ own show, Run BTS, is finally back after a 10-month break!”
Jin adds: “We did some recharging and brought more fun back with us. We hope you’ll look forward to it.”
BTS’ management team recently clarified the group are not going on hiatus.
It was reported in June that the South Korean boy band were going their separate ways and would reunite “someday” but their representatives later insisted their remarks were mistranslated.
A release from their agency HYBE said: “The group will remain active as a team while taking individual journey to further achieve personal growth. [They] will allow themselves to express their individuality through the release of solo albums and collaborations with other artists.”
HYBE’s parent company BIGHIT MUSIC added: “BTS now starts a new chapter with new solo projects as well as group projects. Members will take this time to achieve personal growth through various new activities, and we expect it to further strengthen the foundation for the group’s long-run as a team. BIGHIT MUSIC will actively support the artists.”
BTS had broken the news during their annual FESTA dinner and explained it was time to work on their own.
V insisted they were not splitting and vowed the band’s “synergy will be like no other” when they regroup.

OHMYGOSSIP — Chaka Khan has only felt “comfortable” singing ‘I’m Every Woman’ in the last decade.
The 69-year-old star – who recently dropped the single ‘Woman Like Me’ – has confessed that it took her many years to feel at ease singing about being “feeling like every woman”.
Asked what she was feeling when she recorded her 1978 debut solo single for E!’s ‘Tales From the Top’ series, she said: “Actually, at that point in my life, I wasn’t feeling like every woman, and it took me a minute—some years, actually—to grow into a comfort zone singing lyrics like ‘I’m every woman, it’s all in me.’ That’s a lot to take on. And I feel my songs, I have to sell them, I have to believe it. I’m now very comfortable with it—but only in the last, maybe, 10 years.”
The pop classic was covered by and became a hit for the late Whitney Houston in 1992.
Chaka – who was married by the age of just 17 – admits she’s been through a lot and is grateful her loyal fans have stuck by her.
Quizzed on why her music is so timeless, she said: “God only knows, and I’m only thankful to God that people still are. I’m thankful that I can still do this and that people still love me and listen to me. Only by the grace of God could I be here today. I’ve had a tough life, but I’ve made it through – to this point. And I so love my people, the audiences that love me. I’m doing it for love of you, and this is the truth.”
After releasing ‘Woman Like Me’, Chaka teased plenty more new music is on the way.
Asked if there would be a new album, she said: “I may be blooming more than once a year—’cause I got to bloom fast—so I may just step it up a bit. There’s more stuff coming, absolutely.”
Chaka’s last studio album was 2019’s ‘Hello Happiness’.

The 41-year-old star – who released her Spanish-language album ‘Aguilera’ in May – has returned to the studio after becoming inspired by the reception she received at her recent concerts.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “It’s early days but Christina is back working on new music.
“She really enjoyed trying something different with ‘Aguilera’ which was a real passion project for her, but she is ready to go back to her pop roots.
“At the moment she is experimenting with sounds but it’s likely to be the dancey commercial sound with big vocals that fans love her for.”
Meanwhile, Christina – who has 14-year son Max with her producer ex Jordan Bratman and seven-year-old daughter Summer with her current man Matthew Rutler – previously revealed her Spanish-language music is a way to “share” her culture with her children.
She said: “To now approach the new Spanish music at a time in my life where I’ve survived this business over decades and am a mother to my children, who I want to share a part of themselves, a part of their roots, a part of their heritage, has been such a beautiful blessing within itself.”
“My daughter listens to all of the new Spanish music in the car and requests it. Sometimes I have to be like, ‘Ugh, I don’t want to think about work right now. Let’s listen to Encanto.’ But it’s just been beautiful to see her resonate with the music and know that it’s a part of her.”
The ‘Genie in a Bottle’ hitmaker also believes her music is a way for her to be “engaging with” her family history, such as her Ecuadorian estranged father, Fausto.
Christina said: “So starting with La Fuerza, the strength, [then] La Tormenta takes you through some of life’s hardships. We’re closing [the trilogy] with La Luz — and ultimately the main comprehensive album, Aguilera — acknowledging, embracing and engaging with my roots in a way that I’ve never done. The final chapter shares some closure in relation to my father, and sheds light on any darkness to be left in the past.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Beyonce has dropped a surprise four-song EP.
The 40-year-old singer stunned fans on Thursday (04.08.22) by releasing four different versions of her ‘Renaissance’ cut ‘Break My Soul’.
The first song on the four-track EP is a three-minute 58 seconds will.i.am remix of ‘Break My Soul’, while US DJ Terry Hunter provides a five-minute 30-second version.
A six-minute 27 seconds Honey Dijon remix is the third song, and the final one is a mammoth nine-minute 54-second Nita Aviance Club Mix.
The release comes after fans spotted Beyonce – who released seventh studio album ‘Renaissance’ last week – has appeared to have removed two allegedly “unauthorised” samples of two Kelis tunes from her one of the new album’s tracks, ‘Energy’, on some streaming platforms, just days after Kelis accused the ‘Crazy in Love’ hitmaker of using them without her approval.
It comes after Beyonce also removed an offensive term for disabled people from the lyrics of the song ‘Heated’.
The multi-Grammy winner announced the move earlier this week, after it was called “ableist” and “offensive” by disability charities and activists.
In the tune – which was co-written with rapper Drake – Beyonce used a derogatory term for spastic diplegia, a form of cerebral palsy, in the lines: “Spazzing on that a**, spaz on that a**.”
A representative for the musician revealed the lyric will be changed, saying: “The word, not used intentionally in a harmful way, will be replaced.”
Australian writer and disability advocate Hannah Diviney said Beyonce’s commitment to musical and visual storytelling did not “excuse her use of ableist language – language that gets used and ignored all too often”.
The campaigner added: “Language you can be sure I will never ignore, no matter who it comes from or what the circumstances are.”
UK disability charity Sense initially tweeted that it was “disappointing that another artist is using an offensive term in their song so soon after it was pointed out how hurtful the word is”, and called for “more education to improve awareness of disability”.
But they have praised her for agreeing to change the lyric, saying: “Beyoncé has a history of championing inclusivity, and we’re happy that she’s listened to feedback and agreed to re-record the lyric that many disabled people find offensive.
“We recognise that the word was not used intentionally to cause harm but words have power and can reinforce negative attitudes marginalised groups face.
“We want to thank Beyoncé for listening and look forward to getting on with enjoying the record.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Willow will release her fifth studio album, ‘COPINGMECHANISM’, next month.
The 21-year-old star – who is the daughter of Hollywood power couple Will and Jada Pinkett Smith – has announced her follow-up to 2021’s ‘Lately I Feel Everything’ will arrive on September 23.
The new single ‘Hover Like a Goddess’ drops on streaming services later today (04.08.22).
The album title suggests a theme of copying with anxiety.
Willow previously opened up on her early struggles with her mental health, which came at a time when people didn’t realise what she was going through.
She said last year: “My mental health is in a very fragile state, but I think it’s in a state where it’s about to grow in a really awesome way.”
Part of that growth was overcoming the “fear” she felt early in her music career.
She added: “For so long I had a lot of fear. I felt extremely unsafe in my music career in the past and that feeling of insecurity or unsafety like I didn’t feel protected which went really deep.
“I kinda had to come back from the music industry and now I’m kinda going back in. It’s interesting because all of those memories and emotions have just been resurfacing.
“I was doing the ‘Jimmy Fallon’ performance and I had like a flashback of being like 10 or 9 and having like an anxiety attack onset and basically feeling like everyone around me was like ‘You’re just a brat’. ‘Why aren’t you grateful?’ ”
She explained how some people thought she was simply throwing a “tantrum”, but she is now in a much better place herself to understand what’s going on.
She said: “They didn’t see it as an anxiety attack, they saw it as a tantrum and now I look back and know it was an anxiety attack.
“And so when I’m in these situations now and I have these flashbacks, I need to take the time, I need to go into a little meditation, I need to separate myself from the situation for a little bit.
“And tell myself that, ‘You’re not 9, you’re a grown-ass woman.’ I have to re-train my mind.”
Since her last record, Willow has joined forces with various artists for a series of collaborations, including ‘Emo Girl’ with fellow pop punk star Machine Gun Kelly and ‘Memories’ with YUNGBLUD.
She also teamed up with Siiickbrai on the song ‘Purge’, and featured on Camila Cabello’s ‘Psychofreak’ and PinkPantheress’ ‘Where You Are’.
In June, Willow shared the track ‘maybe it’s my fault’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Melanie C has credited Bryan Adams with giving her the “confidence” to embark on a solo career.
The Spice Girl recorded the 1998 duet ‘When You’re Gone’ with the Canadian rock veteran after a chance meeting in an elevator, for what marked her first recording away from the ‘Wannabe’ group.
And after the 48-year-old singer – who is also known as Sporty Spice in the iconic girl band – recently released a new version of the hit for the ‘Summer of ’69’ hitmaker’s record, ‘Classic Pt. II’, she has gushed about how “eternally grateful” she is to the 62-year-old musician for encouraging her to go it alone.
Alongside a clip of the new music video they recorded for the song, which was filmed at Bryan’s concert in Melanie’s hometown of Widnes, Cheshire, in July, she wrote on Facebook: “In 1998 after a chance meeting in a lift Bryan Adams asked me to duet with him. When You’re Gone was my first release as a solo artist. Bryan has remained a great friend and supporter. He believed in me and helped give me the confidence to pursue a solo career alongside being a Spice Girl and I will be eternally grateful. We recently re-recorded the track for his new album Classic pt. II
Last month Bryan was playing my home town of Widnes and of course, I had to get up with him to perform our song.
We couldn’t resist having some fun backstage and recording a new video. Here we are over 20 years later! Love ya Bryan (sic)”
The ‘Never Be The Same Again’ hitmaker released her debut solo album ‘Northern Star’ a year later, which charted at No.4 on the UK Albums Chart.
Melanie has released eight solo albums, her most recent being her 2020 self-titled LP.
Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that Victoria Beckham will reunite with the Spice Girls for a new documentary series.
The 48-year-old fashion designer declined to re-join Emma Bunton, Mel B, Melanie C, and Geri Horner for their reunion concerts in 2019 but she’s agreed to join them in a new series documenting their rise to stardom and the group’s wider impact on pop culture, The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column reported last month.
The programme will be made by the same team behind Netflix’s Michael Jordan docuseries ‘The Last Dance’.
Speaking about the basketball programme, Mel B said in an interview in Australia: “The director and the whole concept of how that was shot and filmed is really, really, really good. So we’ll be doing our own version with them.”
The quintet will share some of their favourite stories and previously-unheard anecdotes from their time together.
During her interview, Mel shared one such tale.
She said: “The rap in the ‘Wannabe’ video, I actually wrote on the toilet while the other girls were doing the vocals.
My kids go, ‘Mummy, your music has come full circle’, and I’m thinking, ‘Ooh they’re going to compliment me’. Then I get told, ‘It’s come full circle because now you’re just vintage’. Old but good.”
It seems Victoria has been getting in the mood for the docuseries because a few days earlier, she performed their hit ‘Stop’ on karaoke.
Alongside a video clip of the performance, her husband David wrote on Instagram: “Karaoke night with the one a only Posh Spice”(sic)
The ‘Not Such an Innocent Girl’ singer later reposted the clip to her own Instagram story and captioned it: “Only for you @davidbeckham.”
Melanie was quick to comment on the post and joked that she was pleased to see that her former bandmate was “getting a head start on rehearsals.”
She wrote: “nice to see you getting a head start on rehearsals! [kiss emoji] [cry laugh emoji] (sic)”
