OHMYGOSSIP — George Ezra would be happy to quit the limelight.
The ‘Shotgun’ hitmaker has revealed that he has considered walking away from fame once his current tour ends and he celebrates his 30th birthday next year.
George told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: “This might be a conversation for another time, but I don’t feel an urge or want to continue operating in the way we do at the minute. And that’s not a rebellion, it’s just how I feel. Like, ‘Cool, that was a thing.’
“The last date lands around April next year. Then it’s festival season, then it’s my 30th, and you think, ‘Well, what an amazing decade. But don’t kid yourself into thinking that’s all life could be.'”
The ‘Budapest’ singer confessed that he would probably continue to make music but would not want to be as commercial.
Quizzed on what he would do away from fame, Ezra said: “Well I don’t know, and that’s OK. I think I’ll always write and record music, I just don’t know if it’ll be as commercial. Or maybe it will be but I won’t promote it much.”
He continued: “My needs and wants in life are maybe less than others. I want to live like I live now… In a village, maybe have a little studio, work nine-to-five writing. I don’t know, on the question of finances, it’s probably a no. If you’re not earning anything, it’s just a stockpile that’s going down.”
George admits that he wouldn’t miss the adulation of his fans as he knows his music will live on for them.
He explained: “I feel so detached from it. It’s very hard to get your head around the fact it would be aimed at you. The memories people have with those songs have very little to do with me, they’re with friends, family, holidays, kitchen discos.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kamille is working with Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock on their solo projects.
The 34-year-old singer songwriter – who has worked with the girls in the past on some of Little Mix’s biggest hits including ‘Black Magic’ and ‘Confetti’ – is continuing to collaborate with them even on their hiatus from the group.
She told the Metro newspaper’s Guilty Pleasures column: “I’m in the studio with Perrie loads.
“It was amazing making music with her because she’s experimenting and having fun. She is discovering who is through music, the same with the other girls.”
She’s also set to join Jade and Leigh-Anne in the studio on their own material, and she’s excited for “the next era”.
She added: “We have some sessions coming up. I’m excited to see what happens – I’m ready for the next era.”
Meanwhile, she completely shrugged off the notion of any rivalry between the trio following the announcement earlier this year that they were going to focus on their own things for a while.
She said: “I cannot think of anything more opposite as to how they are with each other. They’re urging and supporting one another every single day.
“It’s the sweetest thing. It’s like having sisters rooting for you. They’re doing their own thing, but in parellel.”
Her comments come after she teased that Perrie’s material will “blow everyone’s minds”, while there are reports that Jade won’t “rush release” anything because the “stakes are massive”.
A source revealed she has been working on new material and is “planning for the future” but also “enjoying a break” for the music industry.
The insider said: “The stakes are massive. Jade has what it takes to become a huge star but it would be foolish to rush-release some half-hearted tack.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Drake has beaten The Beatles’ record for the most top five hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The 35-year-old rapper set the new record after he featured on DJ Khaled’s new single ‘Staying Alive’, alongside Lil Baby, which made its chart debut at fifth on the Billboard Hot 100.
A tweet on the official Billboard Charts Twitter account read: “@djkhaled’s “Staying Alive,” featuring @Drake @lilbaby4PF, debuts at No. 5 on this week’s #Hot100.
“It earns Drake his 30th career top 5 hit, passing @thebeatles for the most of all time. (sic)
Following his 30th top five hit, Drake surpasses The Beatles’ 29 top fives.
The Beatles famously once held all top five spots on Billboard’s Hot 100 on April 4, 1964, when ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’ – which was number one – ‘Twist And Shout’, ‘She Loves You’, ‘I Want To Hold Your Hand’, and ‘Please Please Me’ made up the opening quintet.
While it took Drake 14 years to amass 30 top five hits on the chart, The Beatles hit 29 in just five years, the last being ‘The Long and Winding Road’, which spent two weeks at number one in 1970.
‘God’s Plan’ hitmaker Drake has also become the first star in history to reach 100 top 20 hits on the Hot 100 chart.

OHMYGOSSIP — Zayn Malik has delighted One Direction fans by posting a video of him singing an A cappella version of their 2014 hit ‘Night Changes’.
The 29-year-old singer quit the chart-topping boy band – which was also comprised of Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson – in March 2015, citing “stress and anxiety” after exiting their world tour.
And on Monday (15.08.22), the ‘Pillow Talk’ hitmaker posted a black-and-white clip of him singing a soulful rendition of the last song he released with 1D – seven years after he parted ways with the band.
The heavily-tattooed star – who has 23-month-old daughter Khai with supermodel Gigi Hadid – appeared to be in a reflective mood as he sang with his eyes closed for much of the 30-second clip.
Despite reminiscing over his stint in the ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ group, his bandmate Liam previously admitted he doesn’t think Zayn will be a part of a One Direction reunion because he’s never enjoyed the spotlight.
He said in 2020: “Some people are made for this thing but Zayn enjoys the side of the music where he just gets to make music.
“I don’t think he enjoys what comes with it. I think he has to be very careful where he treads.
“He likes to make songs and his songs do very well but at the same time he doesn’t really like to go out and perform the songs.
“He doesn’t really like going out and doing the press stuff that surrounds it in the crazy little world that we live in.”
Zayn’s last solo album was 2021’s ‘Nobody Is Listening’.
And after releasing a duet with folk-pop singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson, ‘To Begin Again’, last March, Zayn revealed he’s also a big fan of country music and has discussed joining forces with Chris Stapleton on a track in the future.
He spilled: “I listen to a lot of Country music. If there’s any good Country voices out there I’m a fan.”
Zayn added how he’s a “massive fan of Chris Stapleton and I’d like to work with him. I reached out to him before and he said he wanted to do something, so I’d like to do something with him in the future.”
The rest of 1D went on an extended hiatus in 2016 and all have pursued solo careers.

OHMYGOSSIP — Geezer Butler couldn’t make Black Sabbath’s reunion at the Commonwealth Games after getting COVID-19 and a boating accident that left him with injured ribs.
Frontman Ozzy Osbourne, 73, and guitarist Tony Iommi – as well as bassist Adam Wakeman and drummer Tommy Clufetos – returned to the stage to perform a rendition of ‘Paranoid’ at the multi-sport event last week.
The hard rock icons appeared in their hometown of Birmingham at the city’s Alexander Stadium.
And Tony has explained Geezer’s absence was due to health issues.
He told Birmingham Live: “I don’t think he wanted to come over as he hadn’t been well with COVID.
“He’d been on holiday to Kenya and to Italy and had had an accident on a boat, cracking or breaking a rib about three weeks ago, so he was not quite in fine fettle to come over to play.”
He added: “It’s a shame because we’d talked for a long time about the possibility of playing at the Commonwealth Games.”
The performance came over four years after the final night of Sabbath’s ‘The End’ tour, while Ozzy hadn’t been on stage since joining Post Malone for a rendition of their ‘Take What You Want’ collaboration at the American Music Awards in 2019.
A week before, Ozzy revealed he was delighted to hear the band’s 1970 classic ‘Paranoid’ played at the end of the games on August 1.
He captioned a clip of the TV coverage on Instagram: “This was played at the end of today’s #CommonwealthGames. I really wish I could have been there with you all. Just amazing for Birmingham!”
Tony, 74, was joined by acclaimed saxophonist Soweto Kinch to perform the dream sequence, ‘Hear my Voice’ – which is based on the title track from 2020 film ‘Trial of the Chicago Seven’ – reimagined by local RnB vocalists Indigo Marshall and Gambimi at the opening ceremony at the Alexander Stadium last week.
Ozzy has been recovering from a major operation at home in Los Angeles, and he wasn’t expected to be part of the festivities this week.
And Tony admitted he was surprised the ‘Dreamer’ hitmaker was fit enough to take part.
He said: “I never thought that Ozzy would be able to come and perform at the Commonwealth Games because of his operation. “And then when he said he was coming over we were asked to keep it all a secret so that nobody would know.”
Along with Parkinson’s and a bout of COVID-19, Ozzy has been dealing with the fallout from a brutal 2003 quad biking accident.
He suffered neck injuries, which were later worsened by a 2019 fall that resulted in 15 screws being inserted into his back.

Both stars are preparing to make music comebacks and ‘Price Tag’ hitmaker Jessie is said to have penned a ballad and another track in the vein of the ‘Toxic’ hitmaker’s 2004 cover of Bobby Brown’s ‘My Prerogative’.
Jessie and Britney have gone through devastating miscarriages and fans can expect emotionally-charged, soulful lyrics.
The 34-year-old singer – whose last studio albums were 2018’s ‘R.O.S.E.’ and the festive record ‘This Christmas Day’ – has also been back in the studio with Louis York.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Jessie has been so open about her personal experiences and wants to turn pain into power to inspire people who have been through what she has.
“She has sent two songs to Britney and is also working with American band Louis York on new music, with an eye for a massive comeback in 2023.
“Jessie wrote some of her new songs in lockdown as well as in Los Angeles, where she worked with Louis on their ‘Songs With Friends record’.”
As for Britney, she’s joined forces with Sir Elton John on her comeback single, ‘Hold Me Closer’, a revamped version of Elton’s 1971 hit ‘Tiny Dancer’.
When it’s released, it will mark the 40-year-old pop icon’s first new music since her 13-year conservatorship ended, and she can’t wait to share it with fans.
She wrote: “I appreciate this and all of your support it means so much to me!!!
“I can’t wait for you to all to hear what we’ve been working on.”
It will also be her first official single since 2016’s ‘Slumber Party’.

OHMYGOSSIP — J-Hope says being a solo artist has allowed him to start a journey of growth.
The BTS star – who recently made history as the first South Korean artist to headline Lollapalooza festival in the US – released his debut solo album ‘Jack In The Box’ last month, which aimed to reveal his “own musical personality and vision as an artist” and his “aspirations to break the mold and grow further”.
The 28-year-old rapper, singer and dancer is just getting started and vowed to “show even better music through my solo projects.”
In an interview with NME, he said: “I learned a lot as a solo artist.
“I think I will continue to grow through this album. I’d like to show even better music through my solo projects. This experience has given me a positive influence overall.”
The ‘Pandora’s Box’ star admitted he was nervous to share his own personal story through his music, but is pleased that so many people resonated with it.
J-Hope said: “I was a bit worried at first, because ‘Jack In The Box’ album contains my story and what I really wanted to do.
“There were so many people that actually listened and reacted to my music and my genuine stories, so I’m grateful for that.
I realised there are so many people who would listen to and enjoy my album that conveys my own story, I’m very grateful and feel motivated. So, for those who supported my music, I want to try many different things with my music, and show them all going forward.”
K-Pop megastars BTS will reunite in October for their Busan World Expo concert.
J-Hope added of the show: “Not only that, BTS will hold a big concert in Busan in October and we’re getting ready for that, so please look forward to that concert as well.”
However, as of June, the ‘My Universe’ septet – also comprising Jin, 29, Suga, 29, RM, 27, V, 26, Jimin, 26, and Jungkook, 24, – have been focusing largely on solo ventures.

OHMYGOSSIP — Katy Perry has hinted at heading out on a world tour.
The ‘I Kissed A Girl’ hitmaker hasn’t embarked on a global jaunt since her 2017 and 2018 ‘Witness: The Tour’ run, however, she is due to wrap her ‘Katy Perry:PLAY’ residency at the Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas in October, and she admitted it’s about time she hit the road.
As quoted by The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column, Katy said at the Magic Fashion Trade Show in Vegas: “I have the songs to be able to put on a big show that people age eight to 80 can enjoy.
“Those songs have taken me everywhere around the world, and I’ve toured the world three times over.
“So I know I need to go back because the world constantly changes, and there are new fans every day.”
The 37-year-old pop megastar did a residency because it enabled her to perform and be “artistic”, while also being around for her 23-month-old daughter Daisy Dove – whom she has with fiance Orlando Bloom.
She said previously: “I really wanted to be able to strike more of a balance – to have a child and take her to preschool – but also be artistic and play with that energy.”
The ‘Smile’ singer shared how having sweet “moments” as a family are “so important” to her.
Katy said: “Orlando and I just did a hike with our daughter. We went to look at some ducks and turtles because it’s so important for me to have those moments every single day, especially when I’m working from 2pm to 9pm.”
Katy’s last studio album was 2020’s ‘Smile’.
A world tour would have been impossible to plan with the COVID-19 travel restrictions of the past two years, but normal service has resumed.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jimin has been in the studio with Ariana Grande’s producer.
The BTS star has been dropping hints here and there about his upcoming solo music, and the 26-year-old star has recently been working with studio wizard TBHits – whose real name is Thomas Brown – and BTS collaborators Pdogg and GHSTLOOP in Los Angeles.
Alongside studio snaps, Thomas wrote: “Great times with my brothers. Jimin is amazing.”
TBHits worked with pop superstar Ariana on all six of her studio albums, while he’s also worked with Meghan Trainor.
Producer Mr. Franks and Taylor Hill, Summer Walker’s co-writer, were also at the session.
Taylor captioned one of the same pictures on his own page: “what happened today was legendary. #jimin. (sic)”
Jimin has already had a number of solo hits in his native South Korea, including 2016’s ‘Lie’, 2017’s ‘Serendipity’ and 2020’s ‘Filter’.
And recently, he featured on the soundtrack to the South Korean TV drama ‘Our Blues’, teaming up with Ha Sung-woon on the duet ‘With You’.
After releasing the song in June, Jimin revealed he was hard at work figuring out how he’d like to present his new “image”.
He said: “I decided to just keep going straight through, staying together with the producers.
“I think we’ll basically always be together for around a month. We met a few times and were talking about what messages and what kind of appearance or image I want to get across.”
BTS are largely focusing on solo ventures after announcing a break from group activities in June.

OHMYGOSSIP — Metallica and Mariah Carey will headline Global Citizen’s New York festival.
The iconic heavy metal band and the ‘Hero’ hitmaker will be joined by the Jonas Brothers, Rosalía, Måneskin and Charlie Puth at the 10th edition of the annual fundraising concert, which raise awareness of extreme poverty.
The huge acts will play the free concert at Central Park on September 24.
In Accra, Ghana, meanwhile, Usher, SZA, H.E.R., Stormzy and more will perform at Black Star Square for the cause.
Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas will host proceedings.
Global Citizen CEO Hugh Evans highlighted the concerning statistics stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic and war in Ukraine, which has forced millions upon millions of people into extreme poverty, with the alarming number only set to rise towards the end of the year, due to the global cost of living crisis.
He said: “We are actually at one critical inflection point where COVID has pushed nearly 100 million people into extreme poverty and now Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has made the situation so much worse.
“As many as 323 million people are now facing acute hunger. And if we don’t take urgent action now, as many as 200 million more people are likely to be plunged into extreme poverty by November, bringing the total number of people living in extreme poverty to over a billion people again.”
Last year, the likes of Billie Eilish, Ed Sheeran and Camila Cabello performed for Global Citizen.

OHMYGOSSIP — Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre are officially teaming up on their first new music in three decades.
The hip-hop icons reunited earlier this year for an epic performance at the Super Bowl halftime show – along with Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar – and following whispers that the pair were in the studio, the ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ hitmaker has confirmed the rumours to be true.
He told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “We’re cooking up a little something.
“I don’t wanna talk about it too much, but we’re back together again.
“It’s been 30 years since we worked on a record, and we’re doin’ something, we’re workin’ on something.”
Snoop shot to fame in 1992 when he featured on Dre’s debut solo single, ‘Deep Cover’, and his solo LP ‘The Chronic’.
Earlier this year, Snoop bought Death Row Records, the label that launched his career.
The rapper – whose real name is Calvin Broadus Jr – acquired the company from MNRK Music Group for an undisclosed sum.
The 50-year-old megastar said in February: “I am thrilled and appreciative of the opportunity to acquire the iconic and culturally significant Death Row Records brand, which has immense untapped future value.
“It feels good to have ownership of the label I was part of at the beginning of my career and as one of the founding members. This is an extremely meaningful moment for me.”
Death Row – which was also the home of the likes of the late Tupac Shakur and Nate Dogg – filed for bankruptcy in 2006 and was sold in 2012, after founder Suge Knight faced serious financial and legal issues.
The 57-year-old former music executive is currently serving a 28-year prison sentence for a fatal 2015 hit-and-run.
Snoop had previously expressed his desire to own Death Row when he was made executive creative and strategic consultant in 2021.
He said in November: “I think all of Death Row should be in my hands.
“I should be running that s***. Just like I’m [in] a position at Def Jam, Death Row means more to me because I helped create that.”
Dre, 57, was also instrumental in launching the career of Eminem, 49, having signed the ‘Lose Yourself’ rapper in 1998.
The studio wizard and music mogul has also overseen and produced tracks for 34-year-old Kendrick.

OHMYGOSSIP — Post Malone was “nervous” meeting his idol and collaborator Ozzy Osbourne for the first time.
The pair teamed up on the track ‘Take What You Want’ on the former’s 2019 album ‘Hollywood’s Bleeding’, and the ‘Circles’ hitmaker has recalled how he was freaking out about what to say to the Black Sabbath legend during their first encounter on stage in Los Angeles in November that year.
In a clip from his forthcoming documentary, ‘Post Malone: Runaway’, the Grammy winner says: “I was nervous meeting him, not as much performing [with him]. Meeting him is terrifying, ’cause, you know, what the f*** do you say to Ozzy Osbourne, you know? ‘I like your pants’!? You have no idea what the f*** to say to him.”
The pair teamed up again on ‘It’s A Raid’ for Ozzy’s 2020 album ‘Ordinary Man’, which was produced by Malone’s producer Andrew Watt.
Ozzy, 73, hadn’t heard of Malone but credited him with getting him “off my arse” after a battle with pneumonia that left him in intensive care had him bound to his chair.
He said previously: “I’d never even heard of this kid. He wanted me to sing on his song ‘Take What You Want’, so I did and then one thing led to another. I started recording a new album with Post Malone’s producer Andrew Watt. It’s only nine tracks but it was a catalyst to get me to where I am today.
“If it wasn’t for making this record I would still be on traction, thinking, ‘I’m going to be lying here forever’. I’ve missed music so badly. My fans are so loyal and so good. Up until making the album, I thought I was dying. But that got me off my arse.”
Ozzy once again worked with Watt on his forthcoming record, ‘Patient Number 9’.
His music comeback follows another brush with his health, after the ‘Paranoid’ hitmaker – who has Parkinson’s disease – underwent life-changing surgery.
Thankfully, the major operation was a success.
The ‘War Pigs’ rocker had previously dislodged metal rods placed in his spine following a quad-bike accident in 2003 when he fell at home.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Campbell Bower and Roman Kemp were among those who enjoyed an intimate performance from Charli XCX on Wednesday (10.08.22) evening.
The 30-year-old singer treated VIP guests at Samsung’s Unpacked After Party in London to a rendition of a number of her biggest hits, including ‘Boom Clap’, ‘Boys’, and ‘1999’, while they also got to experience a DJ set from Jungle.
As well as the musical entertainment, ‘Stranger Things’ star Jamie, DJ Roman, and other guests including Patricia Bright and Jorja Smith got to get hands-on with the new Samsung Galaxy Experience Space in Piccadilly, London.
The guests were among the first to experience new devices there, and shared the results of their immersive sessions on their respective Instagram Story accounts.
The event marked the launch of the Samsung Unpacked Experience, which is free to enter and open to the public from Thursday (11.08.22) until 31 August and houses over 10 immersive experiential zones, displaying brand-new Galaxy devices like never before.
Meanwhile, the ‘New Shapes’ singer revealed earlier this year she thinks the music industry is “beginning to catch up” with her and people understand her future-leaning music more than they used to.
Speaking about her fifth album ‘CRASH’, she said: “I’m on my fifth album in my five-album deal. I’ve arrived at this place where I’m incorporating all of the different things that I’ve done in the past into one body of work.
“I also feel like — and this might sound like a negative but I actually think it’s a positive — I also feel like we’re at a time in the music industry where the music industry is beginning to catch up with me a little bit.
“We’re at this time now where being an artist like me is actually quite common and the norm and with things like hyperpop existing. It’s like that is now a tangible genre that not only weird kids who have great taste can understand but playlisters can understand or whatever.
“This album feels very cyclical in many ways … people can understand who I am now.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ozzy Osbourne returned to the stage for a surprise appearance at the Commonwealth Games closing ceremony.
The Black Sabbath legend reunited with his bandmate Tony Iommi – as well as bassist Adam Wakeman and drummer Tommy Clufetos – for a rendition of ‘Paranoid’.
On Monday night (08.08.22), the hard rock icons appeared in Ozzy and Tony’s hometown of Birmingham – the birthplace of Sabbath – at the city’s Alexander Stadium.
The show was planned as a celebration of the West Midlands’ musical heritage, and the frontman proudly shouted out: “Birmingham forever!”
The 73-year-old star added: “I love you, Birmingham – it’s good to be back!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Iggy Azalea is coming out of rap retirement.
The 32-year-old star admitted last year she was taking a break from music for “a few years” to focus on “other creative projects”, but the rapper has delighted fans by announcing she is “coming back”.
She wrote on Twitter: “A year ago I was willing to walk away from music because I was tired of the negative energy it attracted.
But what I’ve learned is that even when I’m minding my business, y’all gonna be negative AND nosey.
So if I can’t have peace, neither can you.
I’m coming back. Cry about it. (sic)”
In July last year, Iggy took to Twitter to reveal her then-upcoming third studio album ‘End of an Era’ would will be just as the title reads, and she was “excited” for her fans to “see different sides” to her in the coming months.
She tweeted: ““End of an Era” is so special to me because after I drop my album next month iam going to take a few years to focus on other creative projects and things I’m feeling passionate and inspired by, beyond music.
I’m excited for you guys to see different sides to me in the future.
“Shifting my energy and focus to what I’m most excited about is what is right for me and I hope you’ll continue to support whatever creative projects I’m out here doing!
“I really love this album and I just want my fans to enjoy this with me. I hope I see so many of you on tour! (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bring Me The Horizon’s Oli Sykes and Mat Nicholls have completed a triathlon to raise money for a Ukrainian LGBTQ+ charity.
The Grammy-nominated alternative band’s frontman and drummer set out to make £3,000 for UKRAINEPRIDE, which supports the LGBTQ+ community in the war-torn country.
And, at the time of writing, they’ve exceeded the goal, receiving £5,850 in donations on their JustGiving page.
Oli, 35, swam, run and biked his way to the finish line.
Alongside a series of snaps from the event, including one of the lead singer sprawled out on the grass, he wrote on Instagram: “We did it!
“Thank u so much to everyone that sponsored us in our first triathlon 4 @ukraine.pride means the world. I’m going to leave up the donation page til tomorrow would be sick to double our goal (link in bio) but yeah sick thank u!”
Mat, 36, added in his own post: “Had a great time today doing this.
“All for a good cause. Thanks to everyone that donated, me and Ol are dead chuffed to have smashed the target we set for the fundraising.”
Earlier this year, the ‘MANTRA’ rockers dedicated a six-song set to the people of Ukraine at the BandLab NME Awards.
The British band took to the O2 Academy Brixton stage in March for their ceremony-ending set, and they took the opportunity to express their support for the people of Ukraine, amid the ongoing conflict with Russia.
Oli said: “I guess it’s better being here in a room full of influential people: they need to use their voice every single day until this crisis is over.”
The ‘Sleepwalking’ star underlined the significance of the war in Ukraine, warning that “international peace” is under threat.
He said: “If Kyiv does not survive, international peace will not survive.”
The band displayed the Ukrainian flag on their bass drum skin and played a series of songs in tribute to the Ukrainian people, including ‘Can You Feel My Heart’, ‘Parasite Eve’, ‘DiE4u’, ‘MANTRA’ and ‘1×1’.
