OHMYGOSSIP — Marcus Mumford was inspired by advice Neil Young gave him a decade ago.
The Mumford and Sons frontman is set to release his debut solo album ‘(self-titled)’ on Friday (16.09.22) and the veteran songwriter helped change his perspective on a career in music.
He told NME: “Neil Young sat me down about 10 years ago and told me the importance of recorded music, and that I should pay more attention to the way in which we record because I was always [like], ‘Ah, it’s just an advert for a live show.’
“He was like, ‘No man, these things last.’ I felt like on this record, I listened to that [advice].
“I paid closer attention to the way it sounded than anything I’d ever done before.”
Meanwhile, the 35-year-old musician also recalled taking part in jam sessions at Joni Mitchell’s home.
He said: “I played ‘My Funny Valentine’ for her, and Chaka Khan was there and at the end, I f***** up one of the lyrics.
“Chaka leans down to Joni in a stage whisper and she goes [shouting], ‘He really f***** that up! Do you want me to do it?!’, which was hilarious.”
He described the whole experience as “magical”, and admitted Joni had some “sweet” words of encouragement for him as a performer.
He added: “It was just magical. Joni actually said to me, ‘Your instincts are good, you should just play’, when I was worried about a song.
“I was like, ‘Well, that’s a tattoo I’ve gotta get! Joni Mitchell says I have good instincts.’ It was just so sweet.”
Marcus previously revealed his debut solo record is all about “freedom” and “healing”.
He explained: “Really it’s a record about freedom and it’s a record about healing. I think, certainly in my story, it’s important to face up to some of the gnarlier stuff first in order to get to that place of freedom and healing.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Katy Perry is set to start work on her new album.
The ‘Roar’ hitmaker – who released her sixth record ‘Smile’ in 2020 – has been focused on her ongoing Las Vegas residency since December 2021, but she has some big plans when the run comes to an end.
Appearing on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’, she said: “I’ll probably go and make another record soon and write it and tour the world after this, which will be so great.”
The 37-year-old star admitted she has a “persona” when she takes to the stage for the ‘Katy Perry:PLAY’ show at the Resorts World Theatre, and she saves “a lot of that energy” for her live shows.
She explained: “I think, obviously, there’s an onstage persona. And I save a lot of that energy for being onstage and I dial it up.
“I really love this show that I put on. It’s my favorite show, it’s bringing the most joy.”
Meanwhile, Katy explained she doesn’t “talk a lot offstage” as she prefers to wait until she can turn things “up to 11” in front of a live crowd.
She added: “I’m pretty, like, even offstage. I’m more, like, businesswoman; I don’t talk a lot offstage… I’m very, kind of, an observer.
“I really save my energy for when I have to go and turn it on. ‘Cause when I turn it on, it’s up to 11, girl.”
The ‘I Kissed A Girl’ singer recently went into more detail on her plans to take the show on the road once her residency is over.
She said: “I have the songs to be able to put on a big show that people age eight to 80 can enjoy.
“Those songs have taken me everywhere around the world, and I’ve toured the world three times over.
“So I know I need to go back because the world constantly changes, and there are new fans every day.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Doja Cat is taking inspiration from 1990s German rave music for her new album.
The 26-year-old rap star – whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini – has “so many ideas” for her upcoming fourth studio album and explained that while she “can’t tell much” about the project, there will be a “hint of rave culture” to it.
She said: “We just have so many ideas and making those ideas consistent is the challenge right now. I can’t really tell much. I just know there’s a lot going on. I’m very into this ’90s German rave kind of vibe right now and it’s really fun. I know that’s kind of the trend at the moment but I loved that stuff as a kid and now that I can express it (obviously, I couldn’t buzz my head and wear a furry bra and have a belly button piercing back then), I’m sort of embracing that. That’s kind of a hint to the album. Rave culture, not house.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Woman’ hitmaker went on to reveal that she is in the process of building her own studio and while she is warming to the idea of working with others, she has always liked to record her music alone.
She told CRFashion Book: “There’s studios I go to; my friends have studios. I’m actually building a studio right now in my house, and I’m really excited about that. But that’s gonna take a little while, so for now, I have to go to certain places.My process has always been, I don’t work with people. I’m never in the studio with people. I think I’m getting better at being open to that idea but I like things being sent to me and then being in my own place of tranquility and doing it on my own.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ozzy Osbourne is “determined” to tour again – even if it means being “nailed to a board and wheeled on”.
The 73-year-old singer – who recently took some time away from the spotlight as he dealt with his Parkinson’s disease diagnosis and spinal problems – insists he will be back on stage for a run of shows because it is where he “belongs”.
He said: “I am determined to get back on stage even if I have to be nailed to a board and wheeled on. Survival is my legacy.
“It’s where I belong. The relationship I have with my audience is the biggest love affair of my life.”
Ozzy insists he feels “young at heart”, but knows he is getting older because “things go wrong”.
He added to PEOPLE: “That’s the only thing that reminds me I’m getting older: things going wrong and not working anymore. But I still feel young at heart.”
Ozzy returned to the stage in the US last week for a half-time performance at the Los Angeles Rams’ SoFi Stadium, as they took on the Buffalo Bills in the NFL season opener.
The Black Sabbath star opened his performance with the song ‘Patient Number 9’, the titular track from his new 13th solo studio album, and he was later joined by guitarist Zakk Wylde for tune ‘Crazy Train’.
It was Ozzy’s first US performance since he joined forces with Post Malone and Travis Scott to collaborate on their ‘Take What You Want’ tune at the 2019 American Music Awards, while he hasn’t played a full gig since 2018.
But he did make a surprise appearance at last month’s Commonwealth Games closing ceremony in his home city of Birmingham, England, to perform alongside fellow Sabbath legend Tony Iommi, and drummer Tommy Clufetos and bassist Adam Wakeman.
Ozzy – who was born in the inner Birmingham area of Aston – told the crowd: “I love you, Birmingham – it’s good to be back.”
The ‘Paranoid’ star suffered a fall at his Los Angeles home while he was battling pneumonia in 2019 and at one point in time, he was left contemplating the worst.
He recently said: “It got so bad that at one point I thought, ‘Oh God, please don’t let me wake up tomorrow morning.’ Because it was f****** agony.”
Ozzy was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in February 2019, which he publicly revealed in January 2020.

OHMYGOSSIP — Becky G is “really happy” with the way ‘Chicken Noodle Soup’ turned out.
The 25-year-old singer teamed up with BTS star J-Hope for the 2019 viral dance hit back in 2019, and it spoke of the track’s special unspoken meaning.
She said: “We were one of the first to do Korean, Spanish, and English. It’s really bada***!
“I’m so happy that it happened the way it did. To this day, it’s one of those, ‘I see you, you see me, and even though we may not necessarily have the deepest conversations, we get it’ [relationships]!”
The hit single – which acted as a tribute to the original song by Webstar and Young B – created a dance craze involving the swinging of the arms in time to the song’s lyrics – hit No. 81 on the Billboard Hot 100 and made J-Hope the first member of his pop band to chart solo.
Meanwhile, the ‘Shower’ hitmaker – who is of Latino descent – went on to add that “not everyone” identifies with their heritage in the way she does and she would “love” to create an outlet to help her fellow Latinos feel accepted.
She told Teen Vogue: “I’ve been the Latina face for a lot of brands and not everyone looks like me. Not everyone identifies with their Latinx culture the same way I do. And so, I’d love to create a space where if you are a part of the Latinx community, you feel represented and you feel seen… Latinidad is different for everyone.”

OHMYGOSSIP — A new Bruce Springsteen album is allegedly on the way later this year.
According to Rolling Stone co-founder Jann Wenner – who has been promoting his new tome ‘Like A Rolling Stone’ – The Boss is gearing up for an autumn launch for his yet-to-be-announced follow-up to 2020’s ‘Letter to You’ with his E Street Band, though it could be a solo record.
Speaking to Billboard, Jann said: “There’s a new Bruce [Springsteen] record coming out this fall, which is stunning. I’m listening to that.”
There have been whispers of Springsteen, 72, doing a soul covers album, but this has not been confirmed nor denied.
Springsteen and the E Street Band are due to embark on a 2023 world tour in February.
Meanwhile, earlier this year, Sam Fender let slip that he’s teamed up with Springsteen to record a charity single.
The 28-year-old singer has joined forces with the ‘Born in the U.S.A.’ hitmaker – who he is often compared to – to record a song for the Teenage Cancer Trust and its sister organisation Teenage Cancer America.
Sam – who has also teamed up with Sting and Mark Knopfler to record the superstar song – said: “Sting occasionally FaceTimes us, weirdly I always end up being in the bath.
“We were in the studio the other day. I did a charity thing with him and Mark Knopfler.”
Sam felt nervous about working with some of his heroes, including Mark, who starred in Dire Straits.
The ‘Seventeen Going Under’ hitmaker can barely believe that he’s working with so many big-name artists.
He said in May: “I just did some guitar stuff, which was the most f****** nerve-wracking thing ever, going in to do a guitar take on a Mark Knopfler song, he’s one of the best guitarists ever.
“Springsteen’s on it as well. There’s a million people. All of the legends and then me, a stupid Geordie.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell once offered songwriter Max Martin a Mercedes in exchange for Britney Spears’ mega-hit ‘…Baby One More Time’.
The 62-year-old music mogul had heard the 1998 tune, which the Swedish studio wizard had originally penned for boy band Backstreet Boys and R’n’B group TLC, and tried to bribe Max with a luxury car to own the rights to the pop classic.
When he was told it was for a little-known Britney back then, he remarked that someone with her name would never “have a hit”.
Simon remembered thinking: “My God, I’ve got to have this song.”
He spilled on his fellow ‘America’s Got Talent’ star’s ‘Howie Mandel Does Stuff Podcast’: “So I phoned up Max.
“I said, ‘Max. Please, please give me this song.’ And he went, ‘I’ve promised it to someone else.’ And I said, ‘Well, I’ll send you a Mercedes – literally a Mercedes 500 SL if I can have this song.’ And he went, ‘No. I promised it to somebody else.’ And I went, ‘Who?’ And he went, ‘Britney Spears.’ I went, ‘Max, let me give you some advice. No one is going to have a hit with a name called Britney Spears.”
However, he couldn’t have been more wrong, with ‘…Baby One More Time’ topping the charts across the globe and going triple-platinum in the UK.
The single is one of the best-selling songs of all time having sold in excess of 10 million copies.
Meanwhile, Britney recently claimed she “probably won’t perform again” because she’s “pretty traumatised for life”.
The ‘Toxic’ hitmaker went on a rant about the “worst” experience ever working with “offensive people” on her live shows in the past, and she suggested she wouldn’t return to the stage again because she’s “stubborn” and wants to prove her “point”.
In a since-deleted Instagram post, she said: “The most offensive SO CALLED professional pictures on every tour. I mean they could have at least cheated and retouched them for me… just saying… two day shoots for new show in Vegas literally the worst ever… and me excited for the pictures for five months on tour… they never showed me any.
“I’d rather quit s*** in my pool and shoot photos of myself in studios over working with the most offensive people in my life.”
She added: “I’m pretty traumatised for life and yes I’m p***** as f*** and no I won’t probably perform again just because I’m stubborn and I will make my point.”
The 40-year-old pop idol signed off the post: “kiss my God damn mother f****** a**.”
The ‘Lucky’ singer’s last tour was ‘The Piece of Me Tour’ in 2018.
Britney previously said she has “no idea” if she’ll ever perform again.

OHMYGOSSIP — Rina Sawayama says there is a lot of “pressure” placed on “pop girls” to look “consistently hot”.
The 32-British-Japanese pop star – who rose to prominence after signing with The 1975’s label, Dirty Hit, on which she released her acclaimed self-titled debut album in 2019 – has spoken out about the expectations for pop stars to always look their best no matter what they are going through.
In a cover interview with Them, she said: “The pressure with the pop girls is that even if you’re not having such a good day, even if you’re really jet-lagged or your IBS is going crazy or whatever, you have to look really hot. Consistently hot.
“And also everything you say is going to get printed and put on Twitter.”
The ‘Chosen Family’ hitmaker – who releases her second studio album ‘Hold the Girl’ on Friday (16.09.22) – also hailed artists like her ‘Beg For You’ duet partner Charli XCX for running their own businesses and breaking all the rules.
She said: “I think people are really comfortable and cognizant of the fact that every pop star runs their own business.
“Even though I know Britney was very much involved in her songwriting and stuff, it was all quite smoke and mirrors back then. I think what people value now is the idea that [the fans] are part of the music process. And definitely seeing artists like Charli [XCX], for example, who just do whatever the hell they want and are so good at it. I think that’s a much more accepted narrative.”
Meanwhile, Rina’s trauma is interwoven into the 13 songs on her forthcoming record, but she’s not ready to address what she went through directly yet.
She recently explained: “For me, it’s important that the listener is able to listen to it as a pop record first without that background, [and] make their own feelings about it.

OHMYGOSSIP — Grimes has confirmed her upcoming album, ‘Book 1’, is “done” and also opened up on her recent health issues.
The 34-year-old experimental pop artist – who has two children with Tesla tycoon Elon Musk – has confirmed her hotly-anticipated follow-up to 2020’s ‘Miss Anthropocene’ is finished on her part.
The star – whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher – responded to a follower on Twitter: “Album is done. Waiting on approvals for next single and mixing.”
And when another user asked when fans can expect her The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye) collaboration, ‘Sc-Fi’, Grimes revealed it’s down to the Canadian megastar and his record label, insisting it “depends on Abel and Columbia.”
She went on to share that she had a “really intense medical situation” in spring this year, and she’s thankful for the delay in the release as she’s still recovering.
She wrote: “I had a rly intense medical situation in the spring so I am relishing the delay tbh. The delay is kinda convenient cuz I’m just getting back to health. (sic)”
Teasing the collaboration in a recent cover interview with Vogue China, she spilled: “It will be a trip. Definitely worth watching to the end, listening to the monologues and then getting into the drama.”
She also revealed the upcoming LP is part of her AI girl group project NPC.
The visual artist explained: “They all exist in the same dimension, NPC girls literally live in ‘Book 1’ – If we were living in the cosmic lore of ‘Book 1’, NPC would be the pop girl group that dominated the culture and their EP would be called ‘Fairies C** First’, so all these projects would come together and merge into one project at the end.”
Grimes released the singles ‘Player of Games’ and ‘Shinigami Eyes’ in December and February, respectively.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Fender has axed his upcoming US tour dates to look after his mental health.
The singer, 28, was due to play Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver this month, and was set to supporting Florence and the Machine at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.
But he said in an Instagram statement on Monday evening (12.09.22) about his plans to cancel the shows for the sake of his mental health: “It seems completely hypocritical of me to advocate discussion on mental health and write songs about it if I don’t take the time to look after my own mental health.
“I’ve neglected myself for over a year now and haven’t dealt with things that have deeply affected me.
“It’s impossible to do this work on myself while on the road, and it’s exhausting feigning happiness and wellness for the sake of business.”
He added to his 841,000 followers on the platform he was “eternally overwhelmed by the love and support of our fans” and said he hated to let them down.
But he added “the state of my wellbeing is starting to affect everything I do, including my performances (and) I refuse to go out there and not give it my all EVERY time, as you all deserve nothing less”.
He also said his UK record store dates will not go ahead, but added he hoped he “can work something out for those ticket holders” and promised “you’ll hear from us soon”.
Sam said he was “super excited” to play Australia in late November and “everything to come in 2023” as he expected his scheduled show at St James Park, London, to be “f****** unbelievable”.
He went on in his post, on a black background with white text: “I can’t express how grateful we are to have such an awesome fan base. I’ve met a fair few of you over the years and those encounters have genuinely restored my faith in humanity, you’re all sound as f***. Me and the boys are burnt out and need this time. Thank you for always sticking by us.”
He signed off with a heart emoji.
Among the flood of support in his comments section was a message from Gwyneth Paltrow, 49, who said: “This is beautiful. We (heart emoji) you. Look after yourself.”
Sam has supported mental health awareness through his music, and in 2018 told NME about addressing mental health struggles in his single ‘Dead Boys’.
He said: “I remember specifically for me as a kid growing up or as a young teenager if I ever cried or got upset in front of anybody, I would be so humiliated.
“I’d be so angry with myself for being upset and then it would just become this Catch-22 situation.
“It’s that attitude that stops men from talking and stops men from being like able to turn to each other. Me and my mates are very, very close. We all talk about our problems – especially as we’ve got older. But I don’t think a lot of people have that.
“Men just need to be open and not emasculate one another.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sigala wants to launch an online course to find “the next Calvin Harris”.
The ‘Wish You Well’ producer – who worked with singer Becky Hill on the 2018 collaboration – has a keen eye for talent and he wants to use that to help developer the next generation of DJs and pop stars.
He told the Daily Star newspaper’s Wired column: “I have quite a lot of followers who are into making music or they’ve just started making music and they want to learn more, and I love that side of it all.
“I have been thinking about doing an online production course, to sort of share some of the things I have learnt.
“I could be helping out the next Calvin Harris, you never know, they could be out there somewhere!”
Sigala – who had the likes of Kylie Minogue, French Montana, Nile Rodgers and The Vamps on his first album ‘Brighter Days’ in 2018 – also revealed how he loves finding new talent just as much as working with big names.
He explained: “I am so proud to be involved in people’s careers at that point.
“Like Becky was smashing it but she’d never really come to a song front and centre, and been on the artwork or in the music video.
“I don’t understand why that hadn’t happened at that point. So I just wanted to help show the world how incredible she is and it’s incredible to see.”
Meanwhile, his most recent track ‘Living Without You’ – which features David Guetta and Sam Ryder – is continuing his goal of working with “really cool artists”.
He added: “I have worked with some really cool, artists, some well known, some newer, I am really proud of it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Drake leads the BET Hip Hop Awards 2022 nominations with 14.
The 35-year-old rapper will go up against Kanye West, who has 10 nods, in several categories, including the coveted Hip Hop Artist Of The Year.
Drake and Kanye will face stiff competition in the category from Cardi B, Doja Cat, Future, Kendrick Lamar, and Megan Thee Stallion.
Kanye’s collaboration with Cardi and Lil Durk, ‘Hot S***’, has a nod for Best Hip Hop Video, but Drake has two chances for success in the category.
The video for his song ‘Way 2 Sexy’, featuring Future and Young Thug, has a nod, as does Future’s ‘Wait For U’, which features Drake and Tems.
Elsewhere, Drake and Kanye will do battle in the Best Live Performer and Hustler Of The Year categories, as well as for Hip Hop Album Of The Year.
Drake has a nod for ‘Certified Lover Boy’, while Kanye is up for ‘Donda’, and they will go up against Latto’s ‘777′, Future’s ‘I Never Liked You’, Pusha T record ‘It’s Almost Dry’, Nas album ‘King’s Disease II’, and Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Mr. Morale and The Big Steppers’.
Aside from Kanye and Drake dominating the nods, the Best Duo or Group category will see 42 Dugg and Est Gee, Big Sean and Hit-Boy, Birdman and Youngboy Never Broke Again, Blxst and Bino Rideaux, DaBaby and Youngboy Never Broke Again, Erthgang, and Styles P and Havoc battle it out.
What’s more, ATL Jacob, Baby Keem, Hit-Boy, Hitmaka, Kanye, Metro Boomin, and Pharrell Williams are up against one another for Producer of The Year.
Fat Joe will host this year’s ceremony on September 30th at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center in Atlanta, Georgia, and the event will be televised on October 4th.

OHMYGOSSIP — Matty Healy has revealed Ed Sheeran offered The 1975 an “insane” amount of money to support him on his stadium tour.
The ‘I’m In Love With You’ singer has “mad respect” for the global megastar and praised the ‘Bad Habits’ hitmaker for always being “so nice”, however, he wanted his band to embark on their own tour instead.
In an interview with The New York Times, the 33-year-old star spilled: “It’s difficult to be big and say – genuinely – that I have zero commercial ambition. There’s definitely a ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ kind of thing, which is where, listen, we’ve never known what to do and we’ve never tried to do anything. So the second we stop doing that, we’ll probably f*** up.
“I tend to say no to stuff for money. I don’t know how you can write this up without it being rude or inappropriate, but I just got offered a four-month tour next year of stadiums with the biggest singer-songwriter in the world that would’ve made me money that I’ve never even seen or heard of in my life.”
When asked if he was talking about Ed, he replied: “Yeah. And I got offered to be main support and do whatever I want. Think about the money you think I’m getting offered – it’s not just offered, it’s what he can afford because of what he makes for shows – and then just triple it. It’s insane.”
He added: “The thing that’s stopped me just doing that is because – I don’t care. It’s not worth it. Not because I don’t like Ed Sheeran. I think he’s, in a lot of ways, a genius, and he does what he does better than anybody else. But opening up for somebody and not just being real, that’s the kind of stuff I think about.”
The ‘Chocolate’ singer took to Twitter soon after the interview was published to clear up that he “didn’t decline sharing a stage” with the 31-year-old chart-topper.
He clarified: “Just to be clear I have mad respect for Ed Sheeran and I didn’t decline sharing a stage with him I just wanted to do our own shows instead and he’s always been so nice to me personally and publicaly so don’t start a twitter thing for fun (sic)”
The 1975 will embark on a UK and Ireland headline tour in support of their new record ‘Being Funny in a Foreign Language’ in 2023, kicking off in Brighton on January 8.

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift has three bonus tracks on a special Target edition of her upcoming album ‘Midnights’.
The 32-year-old pop star used her appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards in Newark, New Jersey last month to announce her new LP.
Announcing the record at the awards show, she told the audience at the Prudential Center: “I had sort of made up my mind that if you were going to be this generous and give us this, I thought it might be a fun moment to tell you that my brand-new album comes out October 21st. And I will tell you more at midnight.”
And now, the Lavender Deluxe Edition CD of the record has been unveiled, with fans able to hear three additional tracks on this version, which comes with a collectible lyric book, unseen photos and unique artwork.

The hotly-anticipated collection tells the story of 13 sleepless nights.
Alongside a picture of herself sitting with her head in her hands Taylor wrote on Instagram in August: “We lie awake in love and fear, in turmoil and in tears. We stare at walls and drink until they speak back.
“We twist in our self-made cages and pray that we aren’t – right this minute – about to make some fateful life-altering mistake.
This is a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams. The floors we pace and the demons we face.
“For all of us who have tossed and turned and decided to keep the lanterns lit and go searching – hoping that just maybe, when the clock strikes twelve … we’ll meet ourselves.”
Taylor concluded: “Midnights’, the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life, will be out October 21. Meet me at midnight.”
The post revealed there will be an A and B side with all the tracks titled by their number from one to 13.
‘Midnights’ is the follow-up to the ‘Shake It Off’ hitmaker’s 2020 sister records ‘Folklore’ and ‘evermore’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Dave Mustaine’s oncologist co-wrote Megadeth’s ‘Dogs Of Chernobyl’.
Dr. Anthony J. Cmelak of Nashville’s Vanderbilt University Medical Centre has revealed that after he treated the guitarist for throat cancer in 2019, he was given a songwriting credit on the ‘The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead!’ song after he helped with the medical terminology for radiation.
Speaking with The Tennessean, Cmelak said: “I think [Mustaine] wanted descriptive terminology on how your bodily functions would change after exposure to massive doses of radiation.
“He also wanted a flair of someone being left behind … I geared toward that and it came around very quickly.”
The lyrics include: “Nausea overwhelms my brain, distance is the goal.
“Stomach spasms, leaking gut, I have lost all control.
“Saliva gurgling, I’m retching, till I overwhelm the bowl.”
The doctor also shared how Mustaine “seemed” to take his cancer diagnosis in his “stride”.
The 61-year-old thrash metaller underwent 51 radiation treatments and nine chemotherapy sessions before being declared cancer-free in February this year.
He was still working on the band’s latest album through the ordeal because it distracted him from his treatment.
However, the hardest part of all was dealing with “chemo brain”.
He recently shared: “I think it did (distract him), to a degree.
“The toughest part wasn’t the process of going through all the radiation and chemotherapy, a lot of the cancer medication they gave me f***** with my memory really bad.
“They call it chemo brain, so I’ve been having a hard time staying in the moment, but it’s getting better.”
And when asked whether he’s thinking of retiring, Mustaine insisted for as long as he can still pick up and play his instrument, he’ll keep shredding.
He replied: “When I got sick I had been talking a lot about playing out a little less.
“Now, if anything, I want to tour more and just carry on until the end when I actually can’t do it anymore.
“I’m not talking about the time when I don’t want to do it anymore.
“I mean when it’s not possible for me to do.
“When I can’t do it, that’s when I’m not gonna want to do it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams has publicly invited Kylie Minogue to perform their 2000 duet ‘Kids’ with him at the AFL Grand Final.
The ‘Let Me Entertain You’ hitmaker is set to play the 2022 Toyota AFL Grand Final halftime show on Saturday, September 24 at The Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Kylie’s native Australia.
And the 48-year-old pop star hinted he and the 54-year-old pop princess could reunite to perform their noughties classic at the sporting event.
During an appearance on FOX FM, he said: “I need to ask her, maybe I should do that on this radio station right here, right now.
“Kylie, please come and sing with me. I’d love it if you did.”
He then teased: “I cannot confirm or deny [but] I will be singing a song that isn’t a Robbie Williams song. I’ll just put that out there.”
Last year, Robbie teased a new collaboration with the ‘I Should Be So Lucky’ hitmaker.
The former Take That star revealed he and Kylie have “big plans” for a follow-up.
He said: “I have a song with Miss Kylie Minogue, I have big plans for it if she is up for it. I have big plans.”
While an insider said: “Kylie and Robbie have recorded a new song together.
“It’s their first collab since ‘Kids’ in 2000 and Robbie is keen to make it a single.
“Due to COVID, there are no concrete plans for the release.
“It won’t be a mini drop like Kylie recently did with her Studio 2054 remix of ‘Real Groove’ with Dua Lipa.”
Robbie also co-wrote Kylie’s 2001 track ‘Your Disco Needs You’.
The ‘Rock DJ’ hitmaker recently dropped his orchestral greatest hits LP ‘XXV’, and he is on course to earn his 14th solo number one album in the UK.
