OHMYGOSSIP — BLACKPINK have released their eagerly-anticipated second studio album ‘Born Pink’.
The South Korean girl group – comprising Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and Rosé – have dropped the follow-up to 2020’s ‘The Album’, and shared the promo for the lead single, ‘Shut Down’.
Their agency YG Entertainment said: “As indicated by its title, the new album depicts the confidence of the four members who were unique from the beginning.
“The album will paint the team’s discography deeply with its unique music colour.”
The girls insist they aren’t making a “comeback,” because they never went anywhere on the feisty ‘Shut Down’.
Jennie raps in Korean and English: “It’s not a comeback since we’ve never left / Heads turning, careful you’ll strain your neck / Pink ice drip drip drip freeze ‘em on sight.”
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK are set to play two nights in London as part of their ‘Born Pink’ world tour.
The K-Pop stars will embark on a global jaunt, including dates in their native South Korea, North America, and the UK, planned for later this year.
The run kicks off with two consecutive nights in Seoul on October 16 and 17.
They will play The O2 in London on November 30 and December 1, before heading to Europe.
The band will then head to Australia, Singapore and Thailand in 2023.

OHMYGOSSIP — Brett Anderson believes Suede are among the select few artists still “making interesting music” in their fifties.
The ‘Beautiful Ones’ hitmaker, 54, admits he risks coming off as “pretty arrogant” with his declaration that there aren’t many other ageing acts “doing viable work” over 50, but he stands by the statement.
In an interview with The Sun newspaper to promote their ninth studio album ‘Autofiction’, out now, Brett said: “Without wishing to blow my own trumpet, I am going to say something pretty arrogant.
“I don’t think many artists manage to carry on making interesting music.
“We’ve found ourselves on a career path where we’re still doing viable work in our fifties.”
Brett has always been compelled to better each Suede release due to a “dissatisfaction” with their old works.
He explained: “My motivation to keep going comes from looking back on stuff we’ve done in the past with a sense of dissatisfaction.
“I’m always slightly disappointed, even with the music that’s looked kindly upon by critics.”
The rock band – who will embark on a joint North American tour with Manic Street Preachers in November, and a UK run in March 2023 – have had three number one album albums in the UK, but Brett still feels they have “a lot to prove”.
He said: “I’d like to think we might get there eventually, that’s all part of my quest.
“It always feels like we’ve got a lot of prove. We have to keep looking for something better even if perfection is an illusion, like infinity.
“We try to make a great record but it’s never quite as good as I want it to be.
“That’ll be the next one!”
The musician says their split in 2003 was much-needed and they were able to rediscover what Suede is upon reuniting in 2010.
He said: “Splitting up was the best thing we ever did.
“When you become successful, you become lazy and entitled.
“You think, ‘Oh, we’ll release a record and everyone’s going to love it’ so the shock of discovering you can’t coast was a good thing.
“We’d run out of ideas and I didn’t really know what Suede was any more.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lil Nas X’s next track, ‘STAR WALKIN”, will soundtrack the ‘League of Legends’ Worlds 2022 tournament.
The ‘Old Town Road’ hitmaker’s fans can expect the new song on September 23, ahead of the big kick-off in Mexico City.
What’s more, Nas will be playing live during the Worlds Finals at San Francisco’s Chase Center on November 5.
The Grammy winner has also teamed up with Riot Games to design a skin for the new champion K’Sante, The Pride Of Nazumah, with Prestige Empyrean K’Sante being unlockable between November 3 and 14.
In a statement, the 23-year-old star – whose real name is Montero Hill – said: “I felt like it was time for me to try something new.
“I’ve left my mark on pop culture in so many ways, and now it’s time to take on the world of gaming.”
The ‘Industry Baby’ hitmaker quipped: “I will be the greatest president of ‘League of Legends’, of all time.
“Also I’m going to make the best Worlds anthem of all time and put on the biggest, coolest, sexiest Worlds in the history of all Worlds! ‘STAR WALKIN’’ is the only song anyone is allowed to listen to from now on.”
Last year, PVRIS released the Worlds anthem ‘Burn It All Down’.
The likes of Imagine Dragons, Zedd and Against The Current are among the acts to have released an anthem for the tournament.

OHMYGOSSIP — Clean Bandit have a James Arthur collaboration on the way.
The pop trio – comprising Grace Chatto, Jack Patterson and Luke Patterson – have a number of “future-facing pop” records on the way, including yet-to-be-released collaborations with Central Cee, Burna Boy, Ckay and Omah Lay.
And they have also have been in the studio with former ‘X Factor’ stars James and Ella Henderson.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column, Grace said: “We were in the studio with Central Cee recently which was really exciting and we have a song with James Arthur that should be coming out.
“We’ve made a few songs with Ella Henderson with James. She’s incredible. We got together rec­ent­l­y and wrote loads of songs together.”
The ‘Rather Be’ hitmakers have agreed with their label to release a new song every six weeks after years of feeling restricted.
The cellist explained: “The last few years have been a little bit difficult in terms of being able to release what we wanted.
“But now we’ve decided we’re going to release something every six weeks and the label has agreed to that so it means we can get out so many more songs which will be a lot more fun.
“We are writing songs every day but last year we only had one song out. We couldn’t keep doing that.”
They just dropped the French The Kid and Rema-featuring Afrobeats tune ‘Sad Girls’.
French The Kid previously provided a verse on a version of Clean Bandit’s 2021 track ‘Drive’.
As for Rema, he had just 24 hours to lay down his part on ‘Sad Girls’, which was nailed at 5am and blew the ‘Rockabye’ hitmakers away.
The tune was the follow-up to February’s A7S-featuring ‘Everything But You’.
Clean Bandit’s last studio album was 2018’s ‘What Is Love?’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Anne-Marie and Aitch have dropped their fan-favourite duet ‘Psycho’.
The ‘2002’ hitmaker and the Mancunian rap star have dropped the revengeful anthem about pop star Anne-Marie’s cheating ex.
The pair star in the accompanying music video, which goes live on YouTube at 2pm BST, dipping their toe into acting.
The plot is as follows: “A tale of sisterhood as it follows main protagonist, Anne-Marie, as she helps a swarm of women seek revenge on the same deceitful man (played by Aitch), sabotaging their respective dates one by one.”
Anne-Marie said: “This song was inspired by personal experience. I was once in a situation where the guy I was seeing was gaslighting me when I suspected he was cheating on me, which he was (total mug)! It wasn’t ok and I called him out. This one’s for everyone out there who’s been in the same situation.”
Anne-Marie has been hard at work in the studio and recently teamed up with K-Pop group Seventeen on the track ‘WORLD’ and Diljit Dosanjh on ‘Peaches’.
As for Aitch, he just scored a Top 3 with his debut album Close to Home’.
The 22-year-old star recently admitted his sudden rise to stardom is surreal as he went from writing raps on his phone to getting the approval of AJ and Stormzy.
He said: “I actually don’t even know how it happened.
“I used to write rhymes on my phone. I must’ve had a hidden talent and it was just a matter of time before I found it. Then it all happened and getting approval off the likes of Stormzy and AJ Tracey shows I am good now.
“That was one of the most important things, to get approval from people you’ve grown up on.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Blue have shared the new ballad ‘Magnetic’.
The third single to be taken from the reunited boy band’s comeback album, ‘Heart and Soul’, is a return to their signature soulful style, but their follow-up to 2015’s ‘Colours’ features both up-tempo and slow numbers.
The four-piece – comprising Duncan James, Simon Webbe, Antony Costa and Lee Ryan – said: “We’ve never done an album where it’s just one style of music the whole way through and I think we’ve accomplished that again with this album. ‘Magnetic’ shows off all our different vocal styles and we love a ballad just as much as our up-tempo tracks! We can’t wait for everyone to hear the album, we are so proud of it.”
The latest track from the LP follows ‘Haven’t Found You Yet’ and a cover of 112’s noughties classic ‘Dance With Me’.
Blue will hit the road for a 12-date UK arena tour later this year.
The ‘One Love’ hitmakers previously revealed they won’t be partying hard on the tour to mark two decades since the release of their debut album ‘All Rise’, and they are doing everything they can to make sure they’re in tip-top shape.
Lee said: “I don’t think we’re that kind of band anymore. We have different ideas now.
“We want to put on a good show first and, being a bit older now, you can’t do the dual thing of partying and putting on a good show.”
Simon added: “We’ve got to see if we can do it physically!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Fatboy Slim will embark on the ‘Y’all Are The Music, We’re Just The DJ’s’ tour in March 2023.
The legendary DJ will play Newcastle, Manchester, Brighton, Birmingham, Cardiff and Bournemouth, as well as Edinburgh next spring.
He chose the venues for their intimacy to get up close and personal with his fans.
The ‘Praise You’ hitmaker said: “Coming out of COVID I have played many different types of shows from arenas to the Gas tower at Glastonbury and I just find the closer I am to the audience the more I love it… this is what this tour brings.”
Before next year’s jaunt, fans can head to Somerset for the debut of ‘Fatboy Slim’s All Back To Minehead’ at Butlin’s Minehead between November 18 and 21.
Fatboy – whose real name is Norman Cook – will be joined by the likes Groove Armada, Idris Elba, Horse Meat Disco, The 2 Bears Rave, Jodie Harsh and more across the weekend.
The record producer just released ‘Right Here, Right Then’ as a hardback book and in multiple formats to mark the 20th anniversary of his iconic original Brighton Beach Boutique concert.
In July 2002, more than 250,000 fans of the legendary DJ – who launched the Boutique Nightclub in the seaside town – gathered on Brighton Beach in Sussex, England for the free open-air concert, a record number given only 60,000 were anticipated to attend.
The album, available on hardback book and CD digipak formats, boasts multiple recordings of the original set, a brand new DJ mix, DVD of the original concert, 48-page 12″ book with photos and foreword by Fatboy Slim and much more.

OHMYGOSSIP — Mariah Carey has revealed fans have gotten tattoos of the lyrics to her ‘Butterfly’ track ‘Outside’.
The 53-year-old music legend’s hip-hop-infused 1997 LP ‘Butterfly’ turned 25 today (16.09.22), and the ‘We Belong Together’ hitmaker has shared the painful story behind the lyrics on the a capella track about feeling like an outsider as a mixed race person and how they resonated so strongly with her fans.
She said: “I hadn’t heard that in years.
“When I mix my records, layering my own background vocals, which is one of my favourite things to do as a producer, layer after layer, texture after texture — I’m in that moment. Hearing that back now, thinking about how my lyrics are about mainly being an outsider, growing up biracial, and that being the bane of my existence then in so many ways — that was the first specific song about that topic that I wrote and sang.”
Mariah – who worked with Sean Combs, Q-Tip, Missy Elliott and the Trackmasters on the seminal record – added in an interview with Variety: “I’ve since heard about people having tattooed its lyrics to their bodies, and deeply connected to it, so when I listened back to the a capella, you can really hear the pain in it. I’m not feeling that pain now, but I can hear its root, its core, coming through its lead.”
Elsewhere, Mariah admitted she was surprised to hear that ‘Butterfly’ paved the way for rap and pop collaborations.
She explained: “It was not a conscious thing that I did.
“It was just music that I wanted to make. To be able to able to talk about the butterfly – as a symbol – was symbolic of what I had to fight for: my freedom. It was a very difficult business, a male-dominated business, that I got into as a teenager and had to keep fighting to get through. I had to earn and fight for my freedom before, during, after, and still.
“So, people do tell me that ‘Butterfly’ paved the way for rap and pop collaborations.
“But at the time, I didn’t think that; I just thought this music is perfectly normal. Why would I want to stay in a box?”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gary Barlow will never quit music.
The Take That frontman and soloist is amazed he’s still going strong after three decades in the industry, and never sees himself kicking back and hanging up his microphone anytime soon.
He told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “I could never see myself having a quieter life.
“I’ve always thought, if I can play and sing a bit, I could probably do [this job] for a long time.
“But I never imagined it would be like this. I never thought I’d still be performing at this level 30 years on. This is quite amazing. So, just to continue doing this is more than enough for me.
“Whether it’s theatre shows, Take That, my own gigs. The audience des­erve us to push [ourselves] to our limit and to keep doing this for as long as they want us.”
The 51-year-old singer was speaking to promote his one-man theatre show, ‘A Different Stage’, at London’s Duke Of York’s Theatre.
Meanwhile, Gary recently confessed he was “drowning in jealously” after Robbie Williams quit Take That for a solo career.
The ‘Back For Good’ hitmaker wishes he was the one who ditched his bandmates to become a wild pop star like the ‘Angels’ hitmaker, who became one of the world’s biggest solo stars after leaving the band in 1995.
Writing in his new tome, ‘A Different Stage’, he spilled: “I felt a bit jealous that I wasn’t the one who’d stood up and said, ‘Up yours, I wanna have some fun. I’m a pop star, I’m going to behave like one for a bit’.
“None of us wanted to leave Take That, but watching someone else leave I — we all — couldn’t help but think about taking the leap too.”
The following year, Gary released his debut solo single, ‘Forever Love’, but he’s failed to achieve the same success alone as Robbie has.
No matter how successful they were, both stars were plighted by substance abuse.
Gary recalled piling on the pounds after he turned to marijuana, nicotine and food for comfort after his solo career failed to alight, and then locking himself away as he was “ashamed” of his eating disorder.
He penned: “My confidence was shot, I had become terrified of my piano. I went to my studio most days only to pretend to work.
“Weed, fags, coffee, booze and beige food were a way to take the pain away.
“I purged into darkness, in ­private, alone, in the farthest corners of my pop-star mansion. I was ashamed of my bulimia.
He described himself as “drowning in jealousy for my old bandmate Robbie.”
The 51-year-old star added: “Was that my shame at what had happened with my career and all the feelings I had that I couldn’t make sense of? Was the bulimia my ‘unexpressed emotions’ . . . come forth in uglier ways?”
Take That – also formerly including 52-year-old Jason Orange – are now a three-piece with Gary joined by Mark Owen, 50, and Howard Donald, 54.

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams has broken a chart record previously held by Elvis Presley.
The 48-year-old pop star released his greatest hits album ‘XXV’ on Friday (09.09.22) and when it reached number one a week later, he beat late King of Rock n Roll Elvis as the artist to have the most solo albums hit the top spot, with a total of 14 to his name now.
Following his victory, Robbie said: “Thank you to everyone who’s supported the album: everyone who’s bought it, streamed it, downloaded it and reviewed it. I’m so pleased that it’s gone to Number 1, and whilst it feels strange to be receiving an award during these sombre times, I wanted to thank you all for your support and dedicate this to the fans, who I never take for granted. I really appreciate it, thank you so much!”
The ‘Angels’ hitmaker initially found fame as a member of boy band Take That before breaking out as a solo artist but also racked up a further four number one albums during his time with the boy band while the ‘Hound Dog’ legend – who died back in 1977 at the age of 42 – scored his 13th number one with the posthumous release of ‘ELV1S: 30 No. 1 Hits’ collection back in 2002.
Meanwhile, former Beatles member John Lennon remains the artist who holds the record for most number one albums across the course of his career, with a total of 18 chart-topping records released during his time as both a solo act and his time with the ‘Hey Jude’ hitmakers.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jim Root was “bummed out” by how “unprepared” Slipknot were making their upcoming LP ‘The End, So Far’.
The metal icons are preparing to release their seventh studio album on September 30, and the guitarist has admitted that due to the COVID-19 pandemic and him and his bandmates living far away from each other, there was hardly any time to rehearse before working with studio wizard Joe ‘Evil Joe’ Barresi on the tracks.
Speaking to Guitar World, he said: “We were all crazed.
“We had zero time for pre-production and it was like we were learning and building and adding to this meal we were making as we were eating it.
“But we tend to work well under pressure and we got a great record out of it.
“The only thing I’m bummed out about is that we were so unprepared, and it was the first time we got to work with Joe Baressi as a co-producer.
“I wanted to come to Joe with our “A” game.
“I could sense a little frustration in him sometimes because we weren’t well-rehearsed and ready to go.
“We were still writing and working on the songs.”
The ‘All Out Life’ rockers weren’t able to have the full Evil Joe experience.
Jim added: “It wasn’t my favourite way to make a record, and it’s not Joe’s favourite way to make a record.
“But because of the circumstances with COVID and the fact that we all live so far away from each other, and we had a budget and a schedule we had to stick to, we had no choice.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Roger Waters has announced new tour dates for 2023.
The former Pink Floyd frontman will kick off his European ‘This Is Not A Drill’ tour in Lisbon on March 17.
He will also visit Barcelona, Madrid, Milan and Krakow, before finishing up in Prague on May 24.
He is currently on the US leg of the tour, which was originally due to begin in 2020 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
He said previously: “‘This Is Not A Drill’ is a groundbreaking new rock roll/cinematic extravaganza, performed in the round. It is a stunning indictment of the corporate dystopia in which we all struggle to survive, and a call to action to love, protect, and share our precious and precarious planet home.
“The show includes a dozen great songs from Pink Floyd’s Golden Era alongside several new ones — words and music, same writer, same heart, same soul, same man. Could be his last hurrah. Wow! My first farewell tour! Don’t miss it. Love, R.”
Meanwhile, Roger, 78, recently defended himself after calling President Joe Biden “a war criminal”.
The highly-political rocker didn’t hold back when debating his decision to include the 79-year-old world leader in a slideshow of “war criminals” at his tour shows.
The concert opens with the stern statement: “If you’re one of those ‘I love Pink Floyd, but I can’t stand Roger’s politics’ people, you might do well to f*** off to the bar.”
Waters blasted Biden for “fuelling the fire in the Ukraine” amid Russia’s ongoing invasion of the country led by Russia’s President Vladimir Putin.
He told CNN’s Michael Smerconish: “Well, he’s [Biden] fuelling the fire in the Ukraine, for a start – that is a huge crime.
“Why won’t the United States of America encourage [Volodymyr] Zelensky, the [Ukrainian] president, to negotiate, obviating the need for this horrific, horrendous war that’s killing … We don’t know how many Russians.”
Smerconish told Waters he was wrong to blame “the party that got invaded”.
However, Waters insisted it was NATO and the US that caused the conflict.
He went on: “Well, any war, when did it start? What you need to do is look at the history, and you can say, ‘Well it started on this day.’ You could say it started in 2008 – this war is basically about the action and reaction of NATO pushing right up to the Russian border, which they promised they wouldn’t do when [Mikhail] Gorbachev negotiated the withdrawal of the USSR from the whole of Eastern Europe.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Carey Mulligan was “completely critical” to Marcus Mumford’s first solo album.
The 35-year-old singer/songwriter praised his 37-year-old wife for supporting him through the writing and recording of the album, in which he opens up for the first time about being sexually abused as a child.
He told Variety: “My wife was completely critical to the making of this record, and her support for it is why it’s dedicated to her. … I ask her advice all the time. I think it’s completely natural that the person you most love in the world should be present in the process.
“Of course we share everything behind the scenes, and it’s only natural to share my work process with her to an extent. It’s not a co-dependent relationship in that sense, but it is one that I found incredibly valuable, the most valuable throughout this whole process, and particularly making the record.”
And, Brandi Carlile, who co-wrote and sings on the new album’s final track, ‘How,’ praised the album ‘Self-Titled’ as “a trust fall”.
Marcus said: “I love that Brandi sees it like that. And certainly that day in the studio with her doing ‘How’ felt like a bit of a trust fall, and she was there to catch me. I don’t feel like it’s a trust fall exercise with my audience. They’re not responsible for my well-being. But the process of writing it was, to an extent, and there was an element of ‘I think I’m gonna be held by the people around me, and I trust in them.’
“I avoid language about bravery or courage, because that to me feels too judgmental. Many people aren’t able yet to take the opportunity to talk about some of this more difficult stuff. And, you know, I spent over 25 years not talking about. And I don’t think that’s a bravery issue, because I don’t think by not talking about it, you’re being a coward. But yeah, there’s an element of faith involved, and trusting those around you.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gene Simmons doesn’t have “friends” and prefers his own company.
The KISS rocker says his closest kinship is with his bandmate Paul Stanley, and they only get together when they have band things to do.
Speaking to Goldmine magazine, he said: “Even today, as I sit here, other than Paul, and we only get together when we do stuff for the band.
“How do I say this without sounding inhuman?
“I don’t have friends.
“Yeah, if friends means, ‘Gee, I don’t know what I’m going to do this afternoon. Hey, you want to come over and hang out?’
“I’m more interested in what I want to do, and I don’t want to pretend that I’m interested in what you want to do because I am not.”
Meanwhile, Paul previously shared how he thinks KISS could continue without him and Gene.
The ‘Detroit Rock City’ rockers are on their ‘End of the Road’ farewell tour, with founding members Paul and Gene now joined by Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer, who replaced Ace Frehley and Peter Criss, respectively.
Weighing in on the future of the band once its final two original members retire, he said: “I think that recasting KISS or KISS 2.0 is not what we have ever talked about.
“Can KISS continue and can it evolve without us in it? Well, yeah, because it’s already 50 per cent there.
“In other words, there was a time where people said, ‘Well, it can only be the original four.’ [And then] it was, ‘Well, it can only be the original three.’ Well, things move on and circumstances change.”
He admitted despite his confidence in his own abilities, the group is “bigger than any member”, and he doesn’t rule out future iterations with different lineups.
He explained: “Could I see KISS evolving with different personnel? Yeah.
“As big a fan as I am of what I do — and I think I’m damn good — there’s other people around who could pick up the torch and bring something to the philosophy and to the live show and to the music. It would be KISS. It wouldn’t be KISS 2.0.
“If it were to happen, yeah, it would be really just a continuation of the philosophy that we’ve always had, and that’s that KISS is bigger than any member.”
However, Ace – who first left the group in 1982 before coming back again between 1996 and 2002 – has previously slammed the idea.
He argued: “They’re trying to rationalise to the fans, ‘Well, you know, we replaced Peter and we replaced Ace, and eventually we’re gonna replace ourselves.

OHMYGOSSIP — Chuck D has sold a huge stake in his back catalogue including over 300 songs.
The Public Enemy rapper has made a deal with his longtime publisher Reach Music to give the company 100% of his writer royalties plus half of his copyright interest.
In a statement to Rolling Stone magazine, he said: “Doing this deal was the right timing for a forward and logical evolution of our business together in an ever changing industry.
“Reach has always been ahead of the curve on establishing respect for the HipHop genre songwriting and publishing-wise, and they will continue taking care of my works.”
Although the sale doesn’t cover his entire output, it does include Public Enemy’s most formative work released from 1987 to 2012.
During that time, the hip hop legends released some iconic albums, such as ‘It Takes A Nation of Millions To Hold Us Back’, ‘Fear of a Black Planet’ and ‘Apocalypse 91… The Enemy Strikes Back’.
Meanwhile, during this period he co-wrote most of the group’s songs, including ‘Fight The Power’, ‘Bring The Noise’ and ‘Welcome To The Terrordome’.
Michael Closer – Reach’s president, founder, and owner – added: “I’m so grateful to Chuck for our business together as his music publisher throughout these many decades.
“There’s no one more consequential in the world of Hip-Hop than Chuck D, and he has written iconic and impactful songs that will forever be a part of music history.
“The team at Reach will continue working hard to protect these works while also introducing them to new generations to come.”
The move comes after the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Stevie Nicks and Neil Young have struck similar deals over the past couple of years.

OHMYGOSSIP — Doja Cat has been inspired by 1990s German rave music for her new album.
The ‘Kiss Me More’ hitmaker is working on her fourth record – the follow-up to 2021 LP ‘Planet Her’ – and admitted the “challenge” she and her collaborators are facing is taking their “many ideas” and making them “consistent”.
Speaking to the CR Fashion Book, she said: “We just have so many ideas and making those ideas consistent is the challenge right now.
“I can’t really tell much. I just know there’s a lot going on. I’m very into this ’90s German rave kind of vibe right now and it’s really fun.”
Although Doja recognises a trend of artists embracing electronic influences – such as Drake on ‘Honestly, Nevermind’ and Beyonce on ‘Renaissance’ – it’s something she’s always been in love with.
She added: “I know that’s kind of the trend at the moment but I loved that stuff as a kid and now that I can express it (obviously, I couldn’t buzz my head and wear a furry bra and have a belly button piercing back then), I’m sort of embracing that.
“That’s kind of a hint to the album. Rave culture, not house.”
Doja – who is yet to formally announce her next album – also revealed she’s currently having a studio built in her home, but for now she’s working in other locations.
She said: “There’s studios I go to; my friends have studios. I’m actually building a studio right now in my house, and I’m really excited about that.
“But that’s gonna take a little while, so for now, I have to go to certain places.”
Details on the next album are scarce, but Doja has revealed the material will be “predominantly rap”.
She previously explained: “I’ve rapped since the beginning, and I really couldn’t even sing that well to begin with — I got a lot better. “I use my voice as a tool to create these worlds, and it’s fine if people think that I can’t rap.”
