OHMYGOSSIP — Heart’s Nancy Wilson has released a song in tribute to the late Taylor Hawkins.
The 68-year-old rocker has been asked by the Foo Fighters to perform the moving track, ‘Amigo Amiga’, which is named after the pet names the close friends gave each other, at the Los Angeles memorial concert at the Kia Forum this evening (27.09.22).
The pals had featured on each other’s music, with Nancy appearing on Taylor’s third and final Taylor Hawkins and The Coattail Riders LP ‘Get The Money’ in 2019.
The drummer returned the favour by playing on Nancy’s debut solo album ‘You and Me’ last year, on the track ‘Party at the Angel Ballroom’ with Guns N’ Roses’ Duff McKagan.
Distraught Nancy started penning the emotional ode on the day Taylor was found dead in his hotel room in Bogota, Colombia, aged 50, on March 25.
She said: “The night we heard about losing Taylor I started writing the song,” Wilson said of the new song in a statement. “I heard myself in tears saying ‘too soon too soon’ which became a refrain in the song. I spent quite a few sleepless nights trying to express it all. He was a wonderful friend and we always had funny pet names for each other like Amigo and Amiga as well as Luv and Dahling. I sang on his great solo album Get the Money at his home studio and later he returned the favor and played drums on my solo album.
“It is such a painful loss — but it also feels like Taylor has galvanized and re-energized rock and roll with so many of his musician friends and fans coming together — it’s a new renaissance Taylor and the Foo family have gifted us all. (sic)”
Money raised from streams of the single will go to the Recording Academy’s MusiCares non-profit, which offers support to musicians facing financial, personal, or medical crisis.
Nancy is part of a star-studded bill of rock and roll royalty who will perform at the second tribute show, following the London edition earlier this month.
The lineup also includes Alanis Morissette, Mark Ronson, Miley Cyrus, Joan Jett, The Darkness’ Justin Hawkins, Metallica’s Lars Ulrich, Blink-182’s Travis Barker, and many more.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kanye West has made James Blake’s birthday by playing songs they made together in London.
The ‘Say What You Will’ singer confirmed a brand new song by the pair was played by the rap legend, not featuring a sample of his previous track ‘Always’ in a clip of Kanye premiering the song behind the decks in a venue in the British capital on James’ birthday (26.09.22).
He tweeted: “It’s my birthday and @kanyewest is playing tracks we made I’m good for presents thanks.”
Retweeting the clip of Kanye from the kanyewestau account to his own profile, James added: “Doesn’t sample ‘always’. It’s new.”
James also confirmed that he produced the song.
At the time of writing, James hasn’t said if and when the song will be released.
The ‘All of the Lights’ rapper was due to feature on James’ 2016 LP ‘The Colour In Anything’ on the track ‘Timeless’- but due to stuff going on in the Yeezy founder’s personal life and the album going in a different direction sonically, it didn’t make the final cut.
Speaking in 2015, James said: “Something was supposed to happen; I don’t really know how to describe how that didn’t work out.
“I wanted Kanye to be on the song ‘Timeless’, but the verse didn’t materialise.
“I think a huge swath of things happened in his life, and I just stayed out of it. Eventually, the mood of the album changed, and in the end I don’t think it would have fit.”
Meanwhile, James’ most recent project was the ambient album ‘Wind Down’ released in collaboration with the German software company Endel.
Released in March, it’s the first functional music album constructed using AI technology to be released by a label within the Universal Music Group.
James said: “The ‘Wind Down’ soundscape I created with Endel lets me explore the more ambient side of my music and create a project to support people in a new way.”
Prior to that, James released his fifth studio album ‘Friends That Break Your Heart’ in 2021.

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Shiflett has hinted Foo Fighters will make a new record when the time is right.
The ‘Best of You’ rockers continue to mourn the loss of their beloved drummer Taylor Hawkins – who tragically died aged 50 in March – and honour his memory with the second of two memorial shows at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on Tuesday (27.09.22).
And in a new interview, the band’s guitarist has said that once they are ready to get back on the promotion bandwagon and feel able to deal with questions about the sticksman’s passing, they will likely make a new record.
The 51-year-old musician – who is joined by Dave Grohl, Pat Smear, Nate Mendel and Rami Jaffee in the rock band – said that, on the whole, people have been “respectful” about Taylor’s passing, but he called out the few spreading lies about the cause of his death.
Speaking on ‘The Plug With Justin Jay’, he said: “Most people that I’ve encountered have been respectful about it or try to avoid it.
“It probably will be [more of a thing] when we ever get around to putting out another Foo Fighters record and go back into the promo boogie woogie.
“I remember that when I joined Foo Fighters, it was 1999 so it was a while after Kurt Cobain had died but I would watch interviewers twist themselves in knots trying to ask Dave [Grohl] about it but not ask. I would think it would turn into that kinda thing.”
Chris added: “People are pretty respectful but it’s made me reconsider everything I thought I knew about Jim Morrison dying, or Randy Rhoads or any of those rock and roll tragedies.
“Taylor was this big character and he meant a lot to millions of people so I get that fascination with [his death] but so much of what I’ve seen out there is so completely wrong.
“There’s people out there saying s*** like Dave killed Taylor by making him get the COVID vaccine. You’re going to turn it into that? F** you. I try not to pay attention to it but it does make you angry because that s*** is just disrespectful.”
Foo Fighters’ final album with Taylor was 2021’s ‘Medicine at Midnight’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Stevie Nicks demanded she be made into an “honorary Gorilla” if she was to feature on their album ‘Cracker Island’.
The Fleetwood Mac legend appears on the track ‘Oil’ on Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett’s animated band’s upcoming LP, and she has revealed she requested she have her own cartoon in the music video.
Speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, she said: “Well, I have to tell you, it was really great.
“Because [‘Cracker Island’ co-producer] Greg Kurstin sent [the song] to me. I call Greg back, and I go, ‘Oh, I think this is now our new favourite song, and I haven’t even sung on it yet. But yes, I would love to do this.’
“I learned that song as if I had written that song and as if I was an Englishman, with that accent. And I love it so much.”
Gorillaz is made up of cartoon band members Murdoc Niccals, 2-D, Noodle, and Russel Hobbs.
The ‘Go Your Own Way’ hitmaker – who toured with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Foo Fighters in the past – spilled about her cartoon alter ego: “I want to be a Gorilla, and I want to have big, false eyelashes, and I want to have blonde hair, right? So, that’s what I said. And so, they’re doing it as we speak. And the whole song is … I think that song is somewhere between love and war.”
She added: “I can’t wait till it comes out because I’m so proud of it. Now, I was an honorary Heartbreaker. I was an honorary Foo Fighter. And now, I’m an honorary Gorilla. I’m so happy.”
‘Cracker Island’ is due for release on February 24, 2023, and is the follow-up to their 2020 LP ‘Song Machine, Season One: Strange Timez’.
The album will include the titular track, which features Thundercat, plus songs with Bad Bunny, Beck, and the previously released ‘New Gold’ with Tame Impala and Bootie Brown.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran surprised clubbers in Ibiza by performing pop classics by Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys on Monday (26.09.22).
The international megastar turned up at the famous nightlife hotspot O Beach for their House in Paradise event, where he performed his own hit ‘Shape of You’, before entertaining party-goers with his renditions of 90s tunes.
He kicked off with his take on The Backstreet Boys’ 1999 hit ‘I Want It That Way’.
The flame-haired pop star then shook the hands of the crowd before keeping the party going with a mass singalong to Neil Diamond’s ‘Sweet Caroline’.
The ‘Bad Habits’ hitmaker – who was dressed casually in khaki shorts, t-shirt and shades – ended his mini set with Britney’s 1998 classic ‘… Baby One More Time’.
Promoter Joshua Makinson said: “I was absolutely blown away that Ed has come to House in Paradise at O Beach. We’ve had artists turn up in the past and perform but to have one of the biggest pop stars in the world perform is magical.”
Meanwhile, Ed is set to release the track ‘Celestial’ on Thursday (29.09.22) in collaboration with Pokémon.
Announcing the single alongside his new Squirtle tattoo, he said: “To celebrate the new song with Pokémon, ‘Celestial’, I’ve got a new tattoo.”
The ‘Perfect’ hitmaker – who played a show for ‘Pokémon Go’ last year – recalled his obsession with the Pokémon trading card game, the anime show, and Game Boy games as a kid.
And Ed still plays the latter on his old Game Boy Colour when he’s on tour.
The 31-year-old star said: “I started off with Pokémon cards when the craze hit primary school when I was about 7.
“Then the TV show was on TV so I used to try and record it over the same VHS every week.”
He added: “After this me and my brother shared a Game Boy and Pokémon Blue. I got a Game Boy Colour with Pokémon Yellow for my 8th birthday, obsessed was an understatement. Flash forward to me at 31 I still have the same Game Boy Colour and still I play Pokémon Silver on long-haul flights. I really really love it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Rita Wilson has created her “own Great American Songbook” with her new album.
The 65-year-old star’s latest record ‘Rita Wilson Now and Forever: Duets’ sees her team up with music greats such as Willie Nelson, Smokey Robinson and Elvis Costello and she considers it to be her most meaningful musical work.
Rita said: “These songs feel like my Great American Songbook, because of the songwriting and the impact that they had on me through their stories, musically, and the artists that originally record them.
“I was looking at these songs and how they could be conversations between two people. I liked that the lyrics could be coming from two points of view, even if they were mostly written for one person to sing – I liked exploring the possible conversation in each story.”
Rita’s fifth studio album sees her revisit the songs that made her fall in love with music, with Jackson Browne, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, Leslie Odom Jr., Josh Groban, Vince Gill and Jimmie Allen.
The star and her various partners cover tunes from Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen and the Bee Gees.
To celebrate the release of the album, Rita will return to New York City’s famed Cafe Carlyle for a two-week residency from October 25 until November 5.
In the first week, Rita presents ‘Rita Wilson Now and Forever: Duets with Fraser Walters’ where she performs tracks from the new album with award-winning singer Fraser Walters.
The second week is a more intimate experience with ‘Rita Wilson’s Liner Notes’. The star will be joined by her friends and songwriters singing their songs and telling the stories behind the hits.

OHMYGOSSIP — The Spice Girls are to release a special edition of their ‘Spiceworld’ in celebration of the record’s 25th anniversary.
‘Spiceworld 25’ has been curated by the iconic girl group and combines the original chart-topping album with bonus tracks and B-Sides, along with previously unreleased recordings from the archive.
The band, consisting of Melanie C (Sporty Spice), Geri Horner (Ginger Spice), Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) and Mel B (Scary Spice), said: “The ‘Spiceworld’ era was such a fun time for us; we’d just had a number one album with ‘Spice’, we were travelling all over the world and meeting our amazing fans, we released our second album AND we had our very own movie! Who would’ve thought it? It’s crazy to think that 25 years have passed.”
The album will include the fan favourite ‘Step To Me’, which was originally the soundtrack of a soft drinks campaign that the group starred in back in 1997.
The record will also contain the 15-minute Spice Girls Party Mix that features the band’s biggest hits.
‘Spiceworld’ was released in November 1997 and spent three weeks at the top of the album chart in the UK. The album has since sold over 14 million copies worldwide.
The anniversary edition has four previously unreleased live recordings from the group’s successful tour of Europe and North America in 1998.

OHMYGOSSIP — Former Shed Seven drummer Alan Leach has announced his debut solo album.
The musician decided to take an indefinite break from the indie rock group last year and has now revealed that his first solo record – ‘I Wish I Knew Now What I Thought I Knew Then’ – will be released on November 4.
Alan also shared the first single, the anthemic ‘Clouds Behind The Moon’.
The nine-track record has been written and recorded by Leach over the last 12 months, with the sound and lyrical style influenced by the drummer’s appreciation of the melodic song writer from the 60s and 70s as well as the British indie scene of the 1990s.
The album has been engineered and mixed by Mickey Dale and features a number of collaborations and guest contributions. Alan’s former bandmate Joe Johnson plays guitar on three tracks, including ‘Erica’ which the pair co-wrote together.
Alan is joined by his son Sonny Leach – who plays guitar on a number of songs – and duets with folk singer-songwriter Haley Hutchinson on the uplifting ballad ‘If This Comes Off’.
Discussing the album, Leach said: “Until I wasn’t in Shed Seven any more, I didn’t realise just how much I was ready for a break and up for trying something different.
“I’ve had a lot of these songs buzzing around my head for years, but band life can tie up a lot of your energies, so until now, I never got around to doing anything with them.
“As this is my debut album, I felt like I had a completely blank canvas, so I just threw stuff at it and hoped for the best. Romantic storytelling seems to be where I’m at my most comfortable writing lyrics, but that hasn’t stopped me from attempting to put the world to rights on a couple of songs.”
Alan added: “Singing has been the big challenge. I went into the studio aiming for the lush northern tones of Jarvis Cocker, Alex Turner, Ian Brown and Richard Hawley, conceding that if the finished product didn’t sound like Frank Sidebottom, then I’d have done ok.”
Leach has announced two live dates on December 2 and 3 in his home city of York where he will be performing songs from the album with the backing of a band.

OHMYGOSSIP — Damon Albarn is planning to collaborate with Billie Eilish on new music.
The Blur and Gorillaz legend – who has a great mutual respect for the ‘Bad Guy’ hitmaker – joined Billie during her headline set at Coachella earlier this year as they teamed up on ‘Feel Good Inc’ and ‘Happier Than Ever’.
Asked if they could team up in the studio, he told Apple Music 1: “Yeah, it will. Yeah, I think we keep trying to do it. It’s just a case of schedules.”
Given their varied musical influences, Damon admitted he has no idea how a potential duet would sound.
He added: “Who knows? [It] could be kind of babbling brook folk or dark satanic metal.”
Introducing Damon on stage at Coachella back in April, Billie hailed him as “a genius” and someone who “changed [her] life”, as well as her outlook on music.
She told the crowd: “This man changed my life in a lot of ways and changed my complete view of what music could be, and what art could be, and what creation could be.
“My first favourite band ever was The Good, The Bad and the Queen when I was six and Blur changed the world and Gorillaz changed the world, and this man is literally a genius, and that’s that.”
Before the live collaboration, Damon had heaped praise on Billie and her brother Finneas – with whom she works on her songs – and described them as “really interesting songwriter[s]”.
He referenced her “minor and odd” sound, noting: “I think she’s exceptional.”
Now, Damon has reiterated his love for her work.
He added: “Oh, she’s wonderful. I love her. I only became aware of her really through her music.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Post Malone has resumed his tour after suffering breathing issues.
The 27-year-old rapper – whose real name is Austin Richard Post – had to postpone his show at the TD Garden in Boston on Saturday (24.09.22) after finding he was “unable to move”, but he returned to the stage in Cleveland, Ohio on Tuesday night (27.09.22).
Ahead of his performance at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, he wrote on Twitter: “Cleveland, I will be singing the F*** outta some songs tonight see y’all tonight (sic)”
Post later took to the stage for his show while wearing a Cleveland Cavaliers basketball jersey, which had pro player Darius Garland’s name on the back.
He is next due to perform at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Wednesday (28.09.22).
The star took to Instagram earlier this week to reveal he was having difficulty breathing.
He wrote on Instagram: “I’m having a very difficult time breathing, and there’s like a stabbing pain whenever I breathe or move. Boston, I love y’all so f******much. On tour, I usually wake up around 4 o’clock PM, and today I woke up to cracking sounds on the right side of my body.”
The ‘Sunflower’ hitmaker added that he had felt “so good” the night before but admitted something had changed overnight and reassured fans that their tickets would remain valid for a rescheduled date.
He added: “I felt so good last night, but today it felt so different than it has before.”
Just days earlier, Post had injured his ribs after crashing through a hole in the stage at his St. Louis concert after he tripped and fell during a performance of his hit single ‘Circles’.
In a video message, he said: “Next time I’m around this way, we’re gonna do a two-hour show for you to make up for the couple songs that we missed.”
Recalling how he took a tumble, he said: “Whenever we do the acoustic part of the show, the guitars on the guitar stand goes down and there’ this big a** hole, so I go around there and turn the corner and bust my a**. It winded me pretty good, it got me pretty good.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift has revealed track six’s title on ‘Midnights’.
The pop megastar is preparing to release her new album in October and she’s been playing an online lottery game with fans to announce the tracklist with the singer videoing herself picking numbered ping pong balls that correspond to a track on the LP.
And the latest to be unveiled in her TikTok series ‘Midnights Mayhem With Me’ is a song called ‘Midnight Rain’.
Track seven on ‘Midnights’ is called ‘Question…?’.
Last week, the 32-year-old musician revealed she has written her first ever song with a swear word in the title.
She chose number eight and revealed the title is ‘Vigilante S**t’.
It’s the first time Taylor has used a curse word in one of her song titles, although she has previously used profanities in her lyrics.
Taylor plans to continue announcing the track titles in her ‘Midnights Mayhem With Me’ series on TikTok.
She debuted the series on September 20, and confirmed the 13th track is ‘Mastermind’.
Taylor previously described the album as a collection of songs based on 13 sleepless nights over the last few years, during which she got up to jot down lyrics.
Announcing the new project, she wrote in a statement posted online: “This is a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams. The floors we pace and the demons we face. For all of us who have tossed and turned and decided to keep the lanterns lit and go searching – hoping that just maybe, when the clock strikes twelve… we’ll meet ourselves.”
There are 13 tracks for each sleepless night, though a Target-exclusive edition comes with three bonus tracks.
‘Midnights’ is due for release on October 21.

OHMYGOSSIP — Pink stole the show at the Taylor Hawkins tribute concert in Los Angeles, joining Queen and Foo Fighters for a rousing cover of ‘Somebody To Love’.
The ‘So What’ hitmaker belted out the rock anthem that was adored by the late drummer – who tragically died aged 50 in March – with Dave Grohl and co and Queen’s very own Brian May and Roger Taylor at the Kia Forum on Tuesday (27.09.22).
Pink also performed Foo Fighters’ ‘The Pretender’ and duetted with Heart’s Nancy Wilson on ‘Barracuda’.
Taking to her Instagram Story after her set, Pink wrote: “Hate why we were there – but I love that we were all together.”
The memorial gig got underway with Foos’ frontman Dave’s daughter Violet, 16, performing a hair-raising rendition of Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’ with guitarist Alain Johannes.
Dave then told the crowd: “Welcome to the Los Angeles Taylor Hawkins tribute concert.
“This is the hometown s***, so you gotta make it loud for Taylor.”
The ‘Best of You’ rocker then asked the masses of fans to “spend some time in [Hawkins’s] musical mind”, which he admitted could be a “pretty terrifying place”.
Joan Jett, Chevy Metal, Kesha, Coattail Riders, Miley Cyrus, Mötley Crüe, and Def Leppard were among the star-studded bill.
Taylor’s metal covers band Chevy Metal was introduced on stage by his 16-year-old son Shane.
He first admitted: “I’m really nervous.”
The teenager then declared Chevy “one of the best f****** cover bands I’ve ever heard in my life.”
They then did an electric cover of Led Zeppelin’s ‘Rock and Roll’.
Kesha performed David Bowie classic ‘Heroes’, and Miley joined Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott for ‘Photograph’.
Dave was also joined by Josh Homme, Alain and Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones for a cover of Sir Elton John’s ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’.
All money raised from the show will benefit the Music Support and MusiCares charities, as chosen by Taylor’s family.
The Los Angeles show follows the London Wembley Stadium concert earlier this month, which saw the likes of Liam Gallagher, Queen, The Darkness, and AC/DC’s Brian Johnson perform in honour of the adored musician. Sir Paul McCartney even made a surprise appearance to duet with Chrisse Hynde.

OHMYGOSSIP — Will.i.am inspired Beyoncé’s ‘Break My Soul’ remix EP.
The ‘Single Ladies’ hitmaker released a handful of remixes of the ‘Renaissance’ mega-hit, including a version by house legend Terry Hunter, Honey Dijon, and New York producer-and-DJ Nita Aviance, however, if it wasn’t for the Black Eyed Peas star sending over his slowed-down remix, the EP may never have existed.
In an interview with Britain’s Metro newspaper, the ‘Where is the Love?’ hitmaker spilled: “I was in France and her song came out and I’m like, ‘I wish the beat did this.’
“So I called my collabo partner and we did it remotely on FYI, a collaboration tool.
“They weren’t thinking about remixes until I sent it.
“They put out a remix EP and my song’s first one on it – and I inspired it!
“I can’t find the word for it – it’s like Santa Claus is real, man!”
Meanwhile, Beyoncé is reportedly planning to hit the road in 2023 for a ‘Renaissance’ world tour.
The superstar returned to music this year, storming the charts with the record, and now a new report suggests she’s putting together shows and booking stadiums across the globe for next summer, according to The New York Post’s Page Six column.
The singer previously revealed the album is part of a “three-act project”, which suggests there could be a tour in the works.
Announcing the album back in July, Beyoncé explained: “This three-act project was recorded over three years during the pandemic. A time to be still, but also a time I found to be the most creative. Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world.” She included a special thanks to her three children, Blue Ivy, and twins Rumi and Sir, as well as her husband Jay Z and added of the record: “Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. “It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. The 41-year-old singer last toured in 2018 when she hit the road with her husband after releasing their joint album ‘Everything Is Love’.

The late music legend’s team joined forces with Amazon Music and collaborators, including LF System, Emily Nash, Kiimi and Absolute, on the four remixes in a bid to introduce the ‘Faith’ hitmaker’s music to a “whole new audience”.
LF System’s ‘Fastlove’ remix is out now, with the rest set to follow on October 7.
The Scottish production duo – comprising Conor Larkman and Sean Finnigan – said: “We were honoured to be asked to remix George Michael – someone who has been so influential in every area of music. He merged dance and pop so effortlessly and we wanted to do that justice with our remix. George Michael’s talent is clear to see through his music but his sampling skills are second to none. He was able to creatively sample numerous songs to make something brand new. It’s something we really admire and has influenced how we make our music. George Michael brought so much positivity to a lot of people and we hope this remix displays even a little bit of that.”
Each track features on different playlists on Amazon Music, ‘Fastlove’ on The Sound of Modern House, Emily’s remix of ‘The Strangest Thing’ on Club Rules, Kiimi’s ‘Spinning The Wheel’ on Signals, and Absolute’s ‘Star People ’97’ on Electric Disco.
In a statement, George Michael Entertainment said: “George was a huge fan of dance music and always embraced new talent, so we are delighted that Amazon Music together with these outstanding artists, LF System, Emily Nash, Kiimi and Absolute, is bringing his music to a whole new audience with these exciting remixes.”

George commissioned multiple dance remixes for Older when it was originally released, so it feels right that we take his music to the next generation with these brilliant new remixes from the super-talented LF System, Absolute, Emily Nash and Kiimi.”
Laura Lukanz, Amazon Music’s head of music industry, UK, Australia New Zealand, added: “George Michael was a true pop icon with incredible musical talent. It’s been a privilege to work so closely with George’s team, Sony and the dance collaborators to reimagine some of George’s most popular songs, with his original vocals, in order to delight existing fans and introduce his music to new audiences.”
Released on 13 May 1996, ‘Older’ spawned six top three singles in the UK.
The collection sold so well, that the ‘Older and Upper’ reissue was released 18 months after its original release with bonus content.
George – who died aged 50 in December 2016 – had said of the deeply personal LP: “I think I wrote the best, most healing piece of music that I’ve written in my life.”
The four remixes will only be available to Amazon Music customers.
What’s more, a box set and vinyl reissue of ‘Older’ will be available from September 30.

OHMYGOSSIP — A$AP Rocky is “so hurt” after his Rolling Loud performance was brought to a halt.
The hip-hop star’s microphone was cut off during his set at the New York edition of the festival series on Saturday night (24.09.22), and the rapper – who was supported at the gig by his partner Rihanna – has issued an apology to fans for not being able to deliver the show he had been planning for “months”.
Rocky – whose real name is Rakim Mayers – said in a social media statement: “I am so hurt right now! Last night was supposed to be a turning point in my live shows from the old to new!
I will take full responsibility for the circumstances of what led to last night’s show being everything it was and everything it wasn’t.
“I also want to acknowledge that even tho I prepared the best show for my fans, detail for detail, over the course of MONTHS …
“I was unfortunately not able to bring my vision to fruition and I’m hurt about that and I want to apologise to all my fans and continued supporters, and thank ya’ll for showing up for me regardless!! (sic)”
He played a total of nine songs, ending with a cover of French Montana’s ‘Mopstick’.
Meanwhile, the ‘Praise the Lord’ rapper teased earlier this year that his follow-up to 2018’s ‘Testing’ is “more polished” than the “industrial” predecessor.
He said in May: “I’m wrapping up the new album now. I’ve been shooting so many visuals for it. I don’t want to be cliche or sound like a salesman, but I’ve pushed myself to the limit on everything.
“Going from that industrial, subversive sound from ‘Testing’ and then graduating with a more polished sound …I just like where it is.”
Meanwhile, Rihanna has just been confirmed as the headliner for the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime show.
Super Bowl LVII is set to take place on February 12, 2023, at Arizona’s State Farm Stadium.

OHMYGOSSIP — Arctic Monkeys have announced a UK and Ireland tour for 2023.
The band will tour in support of their upcoming seventh studio album ‘The Car’, which is set to be released on October 21.
The tour will kick off at Bristol’s Ashton Gate Stadium on May 29, with dates in Manchester, Middlesbrough, Norwich, Swansea, Southampton, Dublin and Glasgow.
The tour will include two huge homecoming gigs at Hillsborough Park in Sheffield on June 9 and 10 and perform at the Emirates Stadium in London on June 16 and 17.
The Hives and The Mysterines are set to support the band on tour.

Speaking about the new album, Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner recently said: “On this record [‘The Car’], sci-fi is off the table. We are back to earth.
“I think we’ve got closer to a better version of a more dynamic overall sound with this record. The strings on this record come in and out of focus and that was a deliberate move and hopefully everything has its own space. There’s time the band comes to the front and then the strings come to the front.”
