OHMYGOSSIP — Phoebe Bridgers will perform live at two screenings of ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’.
The 28-year-old star will provide the voice of Sally for the double header at London’s OVO Arena Wembley next month, which will see the iconic Halloween and Christmas film aired with live musical accompaniment.
Phoebe will join Danny Elfman – who wrote the music, lyrics and score for the 1993 classic – for the concerts as he reprises his role as Jack Skellington.
Meanwhile, Ken Page – who played Oogie Boogie in the movie – will also be back to voice his character.
The likes of Randy Crenshaw, Greg Proops, Angie Jaree, Baraka May and Fletcher Sheridan will provide further vocals, while the BBC Concert Orchestra will be part of the special performances.
The two shows will take place on December 9 and 10, with tickets on sale now.
Earlier this year, Elfman performed some tracks from the film during his shows at Coachella Festival, as he treated fans to a medley.
He also performed other favourites, including ‘The Simpsons’ theme and songs from ‘Batman’ and more.
He previously admitted the reaction to the shows was “intense and insane”.
He explained: “Going into it I knew it was going to be a really risky endeavour. I don’t think anybody’s tried that before, mixing up these kinds of elements in this kind of insane musical mash-up.
“When you’re trying a conceptual idea, you don’t know what’s going to happen. But in the end, not having a safety net is also extremely exhilarating.
“It’s what it’s like when you’re up there on the high wire and the net is down and you know that the chance of just like falling into an abyss is extremely high. That, of course, is super exhilarating in itself.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Eavis has insisted Glastonbury festival is facing “enormous rises in running costs”, amid a £55 price hike.
The 43-year-old co-organiser of the music extravaganza, which takes place at Worthy Farm, Somerset, south west England, has spoken out after it was confirmed tickets for next year’s event will be £335 plus a £5 booking fee, while this year tickets were £280 plus a £5 booking fee.
Emily has reminded festival-goers they only need to pay a £50 deposit in November, before stumping up the rest of the money in the first week of April 2023, and insisted the spectacle is “still recovering from the huge financial impact” of the coronavirus pandemic, when there was no Glastonbury for two years.
She said in a statement released on her Twitter account: “I wanted to post about the 2023 Glastonbury ticket price which was announced today. We have tried very hard to minimise the increase in price on the ticket but we’re facing enormous rises in the costs of running this vast show, while still recovering from the huge financial impact of two years without a festival because of COVID.
“The £50 deposit on ticket sales day in November will be the same as ever, the balance not due until April. And, as always, there will be opportunities for many thousands of people to come as volunteers or as part of the crew.
“In these incredibly challenging times, we want to continue to bring you the best show in the world and provide our charities with funds which are more vital than ever. We are, as always, hugely appreciative of your ongoing support.”
While it’s not yet been confirmed who will headline next year’s festival, it has been reported that Arctic Monkeys could return for a third time, after previously playing Glastonbury in 2003 and 2013.
Last week, Eminem was said to be in talks about headlining the event on the iconic Pyramid stage next summer.
A source said at the time: “Eminem is wanted for a huge slot at Glastonbury and has been in talks for yonks.
“His dates all line up and if they can get him on board, it will be the first time he has ever played at the festival.
“Eminem is one of the greatest rappers on the planet and to have him down on the farm would be incredible.
“There is also a huge nostalgia factor with Eminem. He has been around for over 25 years and everyone knows his music.
“It would be a really special moment, not just for him but for everyone at the festival.
“They think he will sign on the dotted line and they can get things moving.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift shared her second lyric from her upcoming album ‘Midnights’.
The ‘All Too Well’ hitmaker, 32, opted to unveil a line from her tenth studio album – which will drop on Friday (21.10.2022) – in boyfriend Joe Alwyn’s hometown of London in collaboration with streaming giant Spotify.
In the early hours of Tuesday (18.10.2022) the billboard read: “I polish up real nice.”
The image – which was captured by fans on a scavenger hunt in the UK capital city – was quote tweeted by Taylor Nation, confirming the news and asking fans to guess which track the words belonged to.
They wrote: “London, you polish up real nice. [blonde girl hand emoji]”

According to the music service, Taylor is planning to divulge more lines from her hotly anticipated album in different cities across the world.

Part of the lead up to the ‘Midnights’ release, Taylor teased the tracklist in a series of videos on TikTok, dubbed ‘Midnights Mayhem With Me’.
The Grammy winner labelled the song ‘Anti Hero’ – which is getting a music video premiere on Friday – is one of her most personal songs yet.
She said: “I really don’t think I’ve delved this far into my insecurities in this detail before. I struggle a lot with the idea that my life has become unmanageably sized. Not to sound too dark, but I just struggle with the idea of not feeling like a person — don’t feel bad for me, you don’t need to. OHMYGOSSIP — Troye Sivan says Michael Jackson was a huge inspiration to his music career.
The ‘Angel Baby’ hitmaker was influenced by the stage presence of the King of Pop – who died in 2009 aged 50 – to make performing his dream career after watching old footage of the ‘Bad’ superstar.
In conversation with his ‘The Idol’ co-star Rachel Sennott for Interview magazine, the 27-year-old singer-songwriter said: “It was 100 percent Michael Jackson. Growing up in the mid-’90s my parents had VHS concert tapes and my dad had this Michael Jackson one. And of course, I loved music since the day I was born. But then it clicked that you could do it for so many people. I remember watching this clip of him where he stared off into the distance for three minutes and the audience just got louder and louder, and then he just moves his head to the other side—I went ballistic. That was when I was like, ‘Damn, I want to do that.’ When it came to songwriting, that only clicked for me later in life because I always loved singing, but I would just sing covers.”
Troye also later got “obsessed” with Amy Winehouse – who died aged 27 from an alcohol overdose – and her 2006 album, ‘Back to Black’, which prompted him to pick up a pen and write his own songs.
He said: “It was Amy Winehouse. I remember listening to Back to Black when it came out. I found out she was Jewish and I was obsessed. I was like, “Why am I relating to this 24-year-old who is singing about such specific stuff?” Like what sports game she went to, or whatever. Something about writing with that specificity made the songs feel more real. It was an aha moment where I was like, ‘Oh, you can write super diaristically and it actually makes the songs better.’ That freed me up where I was like, “Okay, if I want to write songs, I don’t have to try and write for everyone. I’m going to write for me and see what happens.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Louis Tomlinson can’t wait to embark on his UK and European tour.
The 30-year-old singer – who shot to fame as part of One Direction – has confirmed that he’ll begin his European tour in Hamburg, Germany, in August 2023 and it’ll finish in Birmingham, England, in November.
Alongside a list of tour dates, Louis wrote on Twitter: “FAITH IN THE FUTURE WORLD TOUR 2023. UK AND EUROPE.
“I can’t tell you how much the tour this year has done for me so I wanted to get on the road again as soon as I could. I had this tour in mind with every song we wrote on the new album.
“Looking forward to playing the new stuff live. Thank you as always for your unbelievable support. I know none of this would be possible without you all! (sic)”
Louis released his debut album, ‘Walls’, in 2020, and he previously admitted that it was difficult to make the transition from being part of One Direction into becoming a solo artist.
He said: “I’m really excited about this next chapter. My first record, I’m immensely proud of it, but it was hard to work out where I stood in the industry coming out of a band the size of One Direction and exactly what One Direction were. Where I’ve got to on this record, I feel really, really proud of.”
Louis took inspiration from DMA’s ‘The Glow’ for his own ‘Faith in the Future’ record.
He shared: “With my first record, I think I’d been a bit close-minded in the sounds that I wanted to produce.
“There’s a lot of interesting, dance-y elements that they brought into that record with [producer] Stuart Price and it just showed me that you can bring in these trendier sounds, but do them in a really authentic way.”

OHMYGOSSIP — A-ha’s Magne Furuholmen thinks fame is “confusing”.
The 59-year-old musician shot to stardom alongside Paul Waaktaar-Savoy, and Morten Harket in the 80s, and Magne admits that they didn’t enjoy being portrayed as pop pin-ups at the time.
He explained: “We went along with it in the ’80s but from the early ’90s we kind of felt that we failed our music in many ways by feeding into the sort of pop idols.
“Fame was confusing. We were young men who went from nobodies to the centre of attention wherever we went. We had people running after us. We were ducking, diving and calling the police for help. It was entertaining, but taxing.
“We all suffered from the perception of the band in the early days which lingered for quite some time. One of the reasons I went into visual arts, and we all had solo projects, was to reset. We tried to get away from the stereotyping.
“Morten, obviously, bore the brunt of fame. He was the centre of attention and in interviews people were more curious about his biceps or hair than A-ha’s actual music. But later, bands came out as fans — and people that you wouldn’t necessarily expect like Morrissey, and we were huge Smiths fans. And Noel Gallagher, The Stone Roses and Coldplay. Kanye West used to dance to ‘Take On Me’ during his show.”
The band are now set to release their 11th studio album, ‘True North’.
But Morten admits that the band – who live in different locations around the world – actually work better when they’re not together.
He told The Sun newspaper: “Working separately has been very much the typical A-ha of the last decade.
“We are very different, but we are three. And all three of us need to feel that we are free to do whatever feels right.
“I don’t take part in the writing. I don’t want to muscle my own stuff in between Pal and Mags. It doesn’t really work, so I’ve stopped doing it.
“As a singer it’s how I interpret things and engage in their songwriting. It’s how the music speaks to me. I write for my solo work but for A-ha it works better like this.”

The 28-year-old pop star has teamed up with one of the world’s most popular mobile games to release her ‘Made You Look’ video.
Meghan – who is releasing her new album, ‘Takin’ It Back’, in October – explained: “I’m a big fan of ‘Candy Crush Saga’. I love playing when I have a bit of downtime in the studio so I’m looking forward to bringing the game to life for my fans within the music video.
“Between the bright colours of the game and providing players with a fun escape from reality, ‘Candy Crush Saga’ was the perfect inspiration.”
‘Made You Look’ will be released on the platform on October 20.
In the video, Meghan juggles being on set at a shoot, attending a press conference and an award show, while TikTok star Chris Olsen also makes a brief cameo.

OHMYGOSSIP — Carl Barat and Pete Doherty “hit it off in a bickering way” when they first met each other.
The 44-year-old musician and Pete, 43, met when Carl was studying at Brunel University, and their relationship has barely changed over the years, in spite of the success they’ve enjoyed together in The Libertines.
Carl explained: “I met one person at uni who I really got along with and that was Pete’s sister, Amy.
“We were just kind of kindred. We formed a really firm friendship. She kept talking about her little brother. She kept saying her little brother was going to visit and when he finally turned up, I had to babysit him and he was the most contentious little b*****. There was a lot of rowing, we just bickered.
“I guess we hit it off in a bickering way and here we are 25 years later nothing’s changed.”
Despite this, Pete thinks they’re actually very productive when they put their minds to something.
Speaking on the ‘Up The Bracket – 20 Years of The Libertines’ podcast, Pete explained: “The one thing was, we were really productive when we did put our heads together.
“When we did get together and spend hours working, going through all the push and pull, we actually got amazing things done. We’d have these amazing creative spurts.”
The Libertines are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut album, ‘Up the Bracket’.
And Pete explained that they can still be as productive as ever when they join forces.
The singer – who formed the band with Carl in 1997 – said: “Even now, we get together and shut the world out and concentrate and we’ll get some great stuff. But the rest of the time is not that productive.”

The 49-year-old rapper is set to join The Arctic Monkeys as a headliner on the Pyramid stage next summer.

OHMYGOSSIP — Beck has reportedly dropped out of Arcade Fire’s tour.
The 52-year-old musician was due to open for the band on their upcoming North American tour but he has pulled out and been replaced by Haitian band Boukman Eksperyans, according to Billboard.
Beck and Arcade Fire have yet to comment.
Meanwhile, back in August, Arcade Fire’s Win Butler was accused of sexual misconduct by four people.
The 42-year-old singer was said to have behaved inappropriately between 2015 to 2020 when he was aged 34 to 39 and his alleged victims were between the ages of 18 and 23, but he insisted the encounters between them were consensual.
A gender-fluid individual who uses they/them pronouns told Pitchfork Butler had sexually assaulted them twice in 2015 when they were 21 years old, while three women told the outlet their encounters with the ‘Rebellion (Lies)’ hitmaker involved unwanted touching, kissing and photos of genitalia, and were “inappropriate given the gaps in age, power dynamics, and context in which they occurred.”
Butler issued a lengthy statement in which he told how he was going through a period of depression and drinking heavily at the time, but maintained the “relationships” were consensual and his wife, bandmate Regine Chassagne, was aware of what happened.
He said in a statement: “I love Régine with all of my heart. We have been together for twenty years, she is my partner in music and in life, my soulmate and I am lucky and grateful to have her by my side. But at times, it has been difficult to balance being the father, husband, and bandmate that I want to be. Today I want to clear the air about my life, poor judgment, and mistakes I have made.
“I have had consensual relationships outside of my marriage.
“There is no easy way to say this, and the hardest thing I have ever done is having to share this with my son. The majority of these relationships were short lived, and my wife is aware – our marriage has, in the past, been more unconventional than some. I have connected with people in person, at shows, and through social media, and I have shared messages of which I am not proud. Most importantly, every single one of these interactions has been mutual and always between consenting adults. It is deeply revisionist, and frankly just wrong, for anyone to suggest otherwise.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sean Kingston has a wardrobe crammed with trainers because he wears a new pair on stage for every show.
The singer has opened up about his shoe obsession in a new interview, revealing he is a “huge fan” of sneakers and makes sure he has a new pair ready to debut on every night of his tour.
He told Us Weekly magazine: “I’m a huge sneaker fan and have probably over 200 pairs. Every night I perform, I wear a new pair of kicks.”
Sean also collects cars and reveals he often takes out one of his vintage motors while he’s on tour – using them to collect coffee from his favourite drive-through cafe to give vehicle a run.
He added: “I usually take one of my vintage classic cars for my Starbucks drive-thru.”
However, Sean is also taking health and fitness more seriously and has started incorporating work outs into his daily regime.
He continued: “I’m a big guy and I love to cook and eat. I’m trying like everyone else to make fitness a part of my day. It’s tough. I ain’t going to lie to you.”
It comes after Sean previously opened up about the near-fatal jet-ski accident that nearly claimed his life back in 2011. He was left in hospital with serious injuries and faced a long recovery which meant his music career had to be put on hold for a while.
He said: “I’d torn my aorta. Open heart surgery. When I was going through that, it was like, I’m not even thinking about music. You know what I’m saying? I had a tube down my throat …
“I’m not gonna lie, it held me back. Before the accident, I was on fire. And when [it] happened, I just fell back. Recovery mode had me out of the game for at least a year.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Katy Perry has to be careful not to become “fat Elvis” in Las Vegas.
The ‘Roar’ hitmaker started her Sin City residency ‘Play’ at the new Resorts World hotel on the strip at the very end of December 2021, and she has created a performing schedule which gives her plenty of downtime she has to be careful not to give into the indulgences on offer in Vegas just like rock ‘n’ roll icon Elvis Presley did when he had a residency in the 1970s.
Speaking on the ‘Smartless’ podcast, she joked: “It’s three weeks on and then sometimes six to nine weeks off. It’s really easy to become ‘fat Elvis’ in between.”
However, the pop superstar is glad for the balance she’s struck between the residency and her home life which allows her to spend more time with her fiancé Orlando Bloom and their two-year-old daughter Daisy.
She explained: “I do it in three week instalments. It allows me the ability to drop my daughter off at pre-school, and then mommy goes to work and comes back home the next day.
“It’s such a great routine. It’s something that pop stars love to do and check off the box.
“Also, I great to create an incredible crazy, crazy show that I can’t tour with because I couldn’t possibly move all these absurd props that are on the stage.”
Meanwhile, Katy also opened up on her early decision to ditch her birth name when she embarked on her pop career.
She explained: “It’s Katherine Hudson, people called me Katy Hudson. In the beginning, I decided not to do that.
“My mother’s maiden name, Perry. [Kate Hudson and I are] best friends, we get along. That was actually the first thing we got along on.”
And the singer reflected on her transformational experiences in music as she discovered a world away from the gospel songs she was raised on in a strict Christian household.
She said: “Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette changed my life… I’m 37, so I dunno? I was late teens.
“Before that, Queen. Freddie Mercury was – I only listened to gospel music my whole life up until I was about 13 and then I discovered a ‘Greatest Hits’ of Queen and the ‘White Album’ from The Beatles and ‘Pet Sounds’ from the Beach Boys. Those three compact discs were on rotation.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Janet Jackson is reportedly set to launch a spectacular comeback tour.
She is said to be working on staging shows after cancelling her ‘Black Diamond’ gigs in 2020 due to the Covid pandemic, which will apparently include new songs.
A music source told The Sun on Sunday (16.10.22): “Janet has been preparing for her music comeback for a while and is gearing up for a performance that packs a punch.
“She is so grateful to her fans for sticking by her while she has had a few years out to start a family and wants to thank them with an amazing production.
“It will focus on the reissue of her 1997 album ‘The Velvet Rope’ as well as some brand new material. It’s a massive deal.”
Five-time Grammy winner Janet, who has sold 100 million records and produced 11 albums during her three decades-plus career, was also reported by The Sun to have teased that new music is on the way during a party last week to mark the 25th anniversary of her record ‘The Velvet Rope’.
She was quoted by the publication saying: “It’s so funny because I see the fans asking, ‘When are we going to get Black Diamond? Will you please release?’
“Sometimes things happen that you don’t expect to happen, and you have to figure things out, or you’re in a space in your life when you have to take a step back and take a break for a minute.
“Even though it’s something that I absolutely love, it still is my work, my job. “There will be music at some point. Exactly when? I can’t say just yet, but there will be.
“I love it too much not to do it.”
Mum-of-one Janet – born Janet Damita Jo Jackson – was said to have added about being focused on bringing up her son Eissa Al Mana, five, who she had with ex-husband Wissam Al Mana: “There’s so much that I want to do but my No1 job is being a mama.”

“I was going through so much in my life and it was so deep, trying to figure out who I am and where I stand.
“I didn’t know if my fans would like it but one of the best moments in my life connected to this album?
“The day that it was released, I was in traffic coming from Malibu and someone honked their horn, and I happened to look over and there was a girl in the car and she held up ‘The Velvet Rope’ CD and she smiled at me.
“It made me feel so good. That was the first person to acknowledge to me that, ‘Yeah, you did something that I really do appreciate’, and 25 years later it being No1 again today?
“Thank you so, so much for this. Thank you Jimmy and Terry for always being my two dads. You were always there for me through thick, thin and the worst.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Pete Doherty and Carl Barat used to have drunken “vocabulary battles” at 4am.
The 43-year-old singer and Carl, 44, founded The Libertines in 1997, and Pete has recalled the early years of their successful partnership.
He shared: “Carl used to go out on these drinking missions, who could get the most f***** up and I used to question this and the lack of artistic pursuit, and Carl would always rise to the challenge and be like, ‘I can drink anyone at the table and still be a poet’ and all this.
“So we’d have these strange vocabulary battles. It’d be four in the morning and we’d have a dictionary each and then we’d throw words at each other to see who had the greatest vocabulary.”
Pete was also inspired by what Carl could do while he was drunk.
Speaking on the ‘Up The Bracket – 20 Years of The Libertines’ podcast, Pete explained: “Sometimes you bring the guitar out and it’s like a sacred moment for me to see someone who could play the guitar so naturally. I learned a lot just watching him, I’d go away and practise like mad.”
The Libertines are currently celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut album, ‘Up the Bracket’.
And Carl can finally appreciate the success they managed to achieve together.
He said: “I’m more blessed now than I’ve ever been by it all. I’m starting to finally … I think I spent so much of my time doing it thinking it’s gonna get taken away. I always thought it’s gonna get taken away from me.
“I’ve finally gotten to a point where I can look at the body of work that we’ve done together and I can go ‘It didn’t get taken away’. That’s there now, that’s locked in.”

OHMYGOSSIP — A new Queen song featuring Freddie Mercury will be revealed this morning (13.10.22) by Ken Bruce on BBC Radio 2.
Guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor are set to release a previously unheard track – which features their late frontman’s vocals – on Thursday just after 11am UK time.
The song – which will get its worldwide premiere on Ken’s show – is called ‘Face It Alone’ and includes Freddie’s iconic vocals, taken from the ‘Miracle’ sessions in 1988.
Over the summer, Brian and Roger spoke to Zoe Ball on BBC Radio 2 as part of Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, and they revealed they had discovered the song.
Roger said at the time: “Yes, we did find a little gem from Freddie, that we’d kind of forgotten about. And it was.
“It’s wonderful. Actually, it was real discovery. It’s from the ‘Miracle Sessions’, and I think it’s going to be out in September.”
His bandmate described the song as “beautiful” and touching”, and explained how they ended up bringing it together.
Brian added: “It was kind of hiding in plain sight. We looked at it many times and thought, oh no, we can’t really rescue that.
“But in fact, we went in there again and our wonderful engineering team went, okay, we can do this and this. It’s like kind of stitching bits together.”
Freddie died in November 1991, nine months after ‘Innuendo’ – their final album, and the successor to ‘The Miracle’ – was released.
In 1995, the band – including former bassist John Deacon – dropped ‘Made In Heaven’, the iconic lineup’s final album as their frontman appeared posthumously on the collection.
Brian and Roger continued to perform live with singer Adam Lambert, and he joined them at the Platinum Party at the Palace concert over the summer when they had the honour of their song ‘We Will Rock You’ being tapped out by the Queen, who later died on September 8, during a skit she filmed with Paddington Bear.

OHMYGOSSIP — Perrie Edwards is “experimenting” with new music.
The Little Mix star, 29, has been “counting the days” since the girl group went on hiatus following an 11-year run but has teamed up with songwriter Kamille – who recently promised that Perrie’s solo music would “blow everyone’s minds – and has been having “so much fun” in the studio.
She said: “Are you counting? So am I. It’s sad, it’s real sad. I saw [what Kamille said]. That’s Kam, she’s always got my back. She’s like my sister, of course she’s going to say that.It’s all going really well, I’m just having so much fun experimenting with different sounds. It’s just really good.”
The ‘Confetti’ hitmaker added that she is “really lucky” to be working with “such amazing people” and explained that she just wants to make music she loves.
She told OfficialCharts.com: “I’m so lucky, I’m working with such amazing people. I’m really grateful. But yeah, it’s just music that I love to make. I just want to make music that I love.”
Meanwhile, Perrie’s bandmate Jesy Nelson – who quit the band prior to the hiatus in December 2020 citing mental health issues – teamed up with rap star Nicki Minaj back in 2021 to release ‘Boyz’, while Leigh Anne Pinnock signed a deal with Warner Records back in March 2022 and has been in the studio with ‘Secrets’ singer RAYE but Jade Thirlwall is reportedly “taking a break” altogether.
A source said: “The stakes are massive. Jade has what it takes to become a huge star but it would be foolish to rush-release some half-hearted tack. Jade has been in the studio a lot but at the moment it’s about planning for the future while enjoying a break following her
11 years in Little Mix.”
