OHMYGOSSIP — Ticketmaster postponed some Taylor Swift presales due to “historically unprecedented demand”.
The ‘Anti-Hero’ hitmaker is set to hit the road on her ‘Eras Tour’ in 2023 and the presales went live on Tuesday (15.11.22), with the surge of demand meaning the company’s website suffered crashes and technical difficulties.
In a statement on Ticketmaster’s official Twitter account, they said: “There has been historically unprecedented demand with millions showing up to buy tickets for the TaylorSwiftTix Presale.
“Hundreds of thousands of tickets have been sold. If you have already secured tickets, you are all set.
“If you are currently in a queue, please hang tight – queues are moving and we are working to get fans through as quickly as possible.
“West Coast onsales for Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Santa Clara and Seattle originally scheduled for 10 a.m. PT will now be taking place at 3 p.m. PT. Queues will open 30 minutes prior.”
Ticketmaster delayed the Capital One onsale even further, and it was rescheduled to Wednesday (16.11.22) at 2pm “local venue time”, with all previous codes and links still valid.
They added: “Thank you for your patience as we continue managing this huge demand.”
Taylor’s tour will be her biggest US run to date, currently standing at 52 shows across the country.
The 32-year-old star – whose last jaunt was 2018’s ‘Reputation Stadium Tour’ – had previously admitted she was keen to get back on the road reconnect with her Swifties.
She explained: “I miss when you write songs and you’re proud of the songs and you have the fans reacting. The most potent way that you can see them react is when you’re looking into their faces … I really miss that connection.”
Meanwhile, Taylor has a chance to earn a Grammy Award for Song of the Year – a prize which has eluded the 11-time Grammy winner thus far – after being nominated for her 10-minute version of ‘All Too Well’.

OHMYGOSSIP — N-Dubz will play five open air shows across the UK next summer.
Reunited trio Tulisa, Dappy and Fazer – who went on an indefinite hiatus in 2011 before returning with new single ‘Charmer’ earlier this year – have announced a series of headline dates for 2023.
On July 7, the band will be playing at Brighton Valley Concert Series, with a gig at Margate Summer Series the following day.
They’ll be in Scarborough on July 20, followed by dates at Gunnersbury Park, London (August 11) and The Bay Series, Cardiff (September 8).
As part of the summer tour, the band has also announced shows at the QEII Arena in Telford (July 9), Sunderland’s Ferrington Country Park (July 21) and Stadium CSM at Colywyn Bay (July 22).
In a brief statement on Instagram confirming the full dates, N-Dubz wrote: “See you in the Summer!!! (sic)”
The band are currently on an arena tour of the UK with former ‘Love Island’ star Wes Nelson appearing as their special guest.
Before making their comeback in May, Fazer – whose real name is Richard Rawson – teased the ‘I Need You’ group had always planned to get back together “at some point”.
He said in March: “We never said that we would never get back together, we always said we would at some point – it’s just about time.
“We never said it was off the cards we always said it’s going to come back at some point.
“Right now there’s a lot of sceptical stuff, but we will bring it back at some point.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Billy Corgan has been to see the “voice doctor” after cancelling a show due to laryngitis.
The Smashing Pumpkins were forced to cancel Sunday’s (13.11.22) show at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon after the frontman came down with the illness.
In a statement over the weekend, the band revealed: “It is with great disappointment that tonight’s show in Portland, OR has been cancelled due to laryngitis.
“William, Jimmy, James and Jeff are deeply saddened but this decision was not made easily and was far beyond their control.
“They look forward to returning to you all next summer. Refunds will be available at your point of purchase.”
The group are yet to announce a rescheduled date.
Corgan has kept fans updated on Instagram, as he first shared a snap of himself giving a thumbs up to the camera.
He wrote: “At the voice doctor. Lots of love.”
On Monday (14.11.22), the ‘Tonight, Tonight’ hitmaker posted a photo of himself and his dog, and added: “I got some help today at the doc again. Sending good vibes from here.”
Smashing Pumpkins are yet to make an announcement regarding tonight’s planned show in San Francisco, while this week there are also scheduled to play in Anaheim (November 16), Phoenix (18) and Los Angeles (19).
They are currently touring with Jane’s Addiction, who themselves had to pull out of five gigs due to frontman Perry Farrell’s injury.
He said in a statement: “I suffered an injury that resulted in my inability to perform.
“I have since been in pain and discomfort and have been receiving rigorous physio therapy that has done wonders.
“Due to doctors orders, we regrettably and forcibly have to cancel the following shows, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, as well as Toronto, Montreal and Quebec City.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jay Weinberg has never played “without hearing protection” after a scare early in his career.
The Slipknot drummer – who first started teaching himself to play in his mid-teens – got a “very quick lesson” in the importance of protection and hearing loss prevention after starting to play live with other musicians.
In a video for the Hearing Health Foundation, he said: “We had a great day jamming, but then the next morning I had no high-end frequencies in my hearing.
“I thought I honestly lost my hearing altogether, and I was really frightened ’cause I didn’t know how to deal with that.
“And especially when you’re recovering from major hearing loss or a hearing loss event like that, the one thing you wanna do to kind of pass the time is listen to music, and you can’t even do that ’cause it’s too painful.”
The ‘Chapeltown Rag’ musician – who joined Slipknot in 2014 – pointed out that hearing protection is a necessity for anyone wanting “longevity and sustainability in playing music”.
He added: “So ever since that day, I’ve never sat down at a kit and played the way I play without hearing protection – not even once. It’s not an option.”
Jay revealed he takes plenty of measures on stage, and he explained the risks if he didn’t.
He continued: “For me personally, I don’t go to a single show without wearing earplugs; I don’t go on stage without wearing earplugs or in-ear monitors where I can hear myself and my bandmates.
“It’s incredibly important, and if I had not worn earplugs and in-ear monitors from a young age, I might have done a tremendous amount of damage to my hearing.
“So I strongly encourage you, wear earplugs, do it the right way, do it intelligently. You can still rock out, you can still play the way you want to, and you’ll be able to play for the rest of your life.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Morrissey abandoned his Los Angeles gig after just 30 minutes at the weekend.
The former Smiths star was playing a solo gig at the famous Greek Theatre on Saturday (12.11.22) when he left the stage abruptly, leaving a member of his band to inform the audience the concert was postponed.
The band member said: “Sorry, but due to unforeseen circumstances, the show is not going to continue. Very sorry. We’ll see you next time.”
A note on Morrissey’s official Instagram page read: “Thank you for coming out last night, LA. We love you and are grateful for your support. Please stand by for further announcements coming shortly.”
Many fans took to Twitter to claim the 63-year-old star had complained of being “too cold”, but no reason was given from Morrissey’s camp.
The ‘Everyday Is Like Sunday’ hitmaker was dropped by his label BMG in 2020, and will release his 14th studio album ‘Bonfire Of Teenagers’ in February next year.
He teased last year: “The worst year of my life concludes with the best album of my life.”
Upon hearing he had been let go by his label, Morrissey said it was “perfectly in keeping with the relentless galvanic horror of 2020.”
He wrote at the time: “This is perfectly in keeping with the relentless galvanic horror of 2020. We would be critically insane to expect anything positive. My three albums with BMG have been the best of my career, and I stand by them till death. Recording them has been a pivotal period in my life, and I thank the previous BMG team and everyone involved for that. It’s still important to me to do music my own way, and I wouldn’t want to be on a label that dictates so specifically how their artists should behave – especially when the word ‘talent’ is notably never mentioned.”
Morrissey is known for his outspoken views, previously calling halal meat “evil”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack Johnson is returning to the UK for his first concert in five years.
The ‘Better Together’ hitmaker has already completed dates in North America, Australia, New Zealand, Chile and Brazil as part of his ‘Meet The Moonlight Tour’, and next he’ll play London’s Hammersmith Eventim Apollo on June 21, 2023.
He said: “I am looking forward to returning to the UK to gather together and share songs.
“It’s exciting and heartwarming to be so welcomed in a beautiful city like London, which is on the opposite side of the globe from where I live.”
Released in June, the 47-year-old singer-songwriter’s eighth studio album, ‘Meet The Moonlight’, was produced by Lana Del Rey’s studio wizard Blake Mills, who Jack credits with helping to push himself outside of his comfort zone.
He said in a statement regarding his first LP since 2017’s ‘All The Light Above It Too’: “When Blake and I first got in touch we’d send each other playlists, and over time we realised we were drawn to music that sounds effortless despite all the effort put into making it.
“After a while we got a language together and I gained a trust in him that allowed me to let go, push outside my comfort zone, and get to a sound I really loved.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sting has announced a string of new UK dates as part of his ‘My Songs 2023’ world tour.
The former Police star will play Bedford Park in Bedfordshire, East England, on June 24, before heading up north to Scarborough to rock the Open Air Theatre on June 25.
He’s then due to play Lytham Festival in Lancashire on June 30.
The following month, he play Cardiff and Halifax.
Tickets go on sale at 9am GMT on Friday, November 18.
Meanwhile, this year Sting sold his entire back catalogue to Universal Music for $300 million.
The 71-year-old singer – who shot to fame as part of the rock band The Police, before enjoying success as a solo artist – became the latest big-name star to sell his back catalogue, following in the footsteps of the likes of Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen.
The ‘Englishman in New York’ hitmaker – whose real name is Gordon Sumner – said at the time: “It felt natural to unite everything in one trusted home.
“It is absolutely essential to me that my career’s body of work has a home where it is valued and respected. Not only to connect with longtime fans in new ways but also to introduce my songs to new audiences, musicians and generations.”
Sir Lucian Grainge, the chairman and chief executive of Universal Music, was delighted to have secured the deal.
He said: “We are honoured that by choosing Universal for his music publishing, Sting’s entire body of work as a songwriter and recording artist – from The Police to his solo work – will all be within the Universal family.
“It is a responsibility we don’t take lightly.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Morrissey has revealed his new album is “no longer scheduled” to drop in February 2023.
The Smiths musician had been set to release his 14th solo album ‘Bonfire of Teenagers’ early next year, but now he’s announced a change of plans.
In a brief statement on his official Morrissey Central website, he said: “‘Bonfire of Teenagers’ is no longer scheduled for a February release, as stated by this site.
“Its fate is exclusively in the hands of Capitol Records (Los Angeles).”
Announcing the collection back in May 2021, Morrissey described the album was the “best album of my life”.
He had been dropped by label BMG in 2020, which he said was “perfectly in keeping with the relentless galvanic horror of 2020”.
He wrote at the time: “This is perfectly in keeping with the relentless galvanic horror of 2020. We would be critically insane to expect anything positive.

Morrissey has played a number of songs from the album live this year, including ‘I AM Veronica’, ‘Rebels Without Applause’, ‘Kerouac’s Crack’ and more.
Last month, it was revealed Andrew Watt has produced the collection, with Iggy Pop, Miley Cyrus and Red Hot Chili Peppers duo Flea and Chad Smith all featuring on the record.

OHMYGOSSIP — Pink will perform a tribute to Dame Olivia Newton-John at this year’s American Music Awards.
The ‘Just Give Me a Reason’ hitmaker will take to the stage at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on November 20th to pay tribute to the late ‘Grease’ actress’ life and career.
Olivia, a 10-time AMA winner, passed away in August aged 73 after battling breast cancer for 30 years.
The performance will be Pink’s second of the night, after she has belted out her new single ‘Never Gonna Not Dance Again’ live for the first time.
Other performers at this year’s AMAs include Stevie Wonder, who will be joined on stage by Charlie Puth and Ari Lennox.
The trio will pay tribute to Lionel Richie, who is to receive the Icon Award at this year’s ceremony, by performing a medley of the ‘All Night Long’ hitmaker’s songs.
Speaking about the accolade ahead of the spectacle, Lionel recently said: “I’m immensely grateful for a career that has taken me to places I never imagined that I’d go, from arenas worldwide to studio sets to the AMA stage.
“I can recall one of the first times I got to perform at the AMAs. It was to sing ‘We Are the World’ among the most iconic musicians of my generation, so it is surreal to be receiving this recognition 36 years later.”
David Guetta and Bebe Rexha will perform their song ‘I’m Good (Blue)’ together, and Lil Baby will play a medley of his hits, while Dove Cameron will sing her tune ‘Boyfriend’ at the event.
Carrie Underwood, Yola and Imagine Dragons are also on the bill.

The ‘Home’ hitmaker, 27, has been put up for five nods at the ceremony – which is taking place on 30 November at the OVO Arena Wembley, London – including recognition in the Album of the Year, Best Male Act, Best Hip-Hop Act and two Video of the Year recognitions for both his song ‘Alpha House/Hide and Seek’ and for his guest spot on fellow nominee’s Kojey Radical’s single ‘Payback’.
Mercury Music Prize winner, Simz is up for four – Album of the Year for her ‘Sometimes I Might Be Introvert’, Best Female Act, Best Hip-Hop Act and Video of the Year – the same number that the ‘Doja’ hitmaker, 24, is in the running for; with Central C nominated for Best Male Act, Best Drill Act (supported by Trench), Song of The Year (in association with Lucozade) and Video of The Year. At last year’s awards, he scooped up the Best Newcomer.
Along with recognising other talent from across the world, the awarding body have added two new music categories to mark its 26th year; Best Alternative Music Act (in association with Marshall) and Best Dance/Electronic Act (supported by Mixmag) to mark the widening cultural understanding of music of Black origin, which the event celebrates.

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift has added 17 more dates to her ‘Eras’ stadium tour.
The 32-year-old singer/songwriter will embark on her biggest US tour to date next year, taking in 52 shows across the country, including five nights at L.A.’s SoFi Stadium.
Taylor’s team said the new shows, which are all in previously announced cities, have been added “due to unprecedented demand”.
Glendale, Las Vegas, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Minneapolis, Cincinnati, Kansas City and Denver have all received a second night, while she will play three nights in Arlington, Tampa, Houston, Atlanta, Nashville, Philadelphia, Foxborough, East Rutherford and Chicago.
The opening of the tour has moved from March 18 in Glendale to March 17 and the tour will now end in Los Angeles on August 9.
Meanwhile, Taylor recently became the first artist in Billboard history to fill the entire top 10 in one week.
The ‘Anti-Hero’ hitmaker – whose new album ‘Midnights’ was released on October 21 – was left overwhelmed after finding out her songs made up the whole top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, going one better then Drake’s previous record from September 2021.
Responding to the news on Twitter, Taylor wrote: “10 out of 10 of the Hot 100??? On my 10th album??? I AM IN SHAMBLES. (sic)”
‘Midnights’ has already seen huge success, with the Billboard 200 chart – which is dated November 5 – seeing the album achieve the biggest week for any album in almost seven years.
According to Luminate, the record dropped with 1.578 million equivalent album units earned in the US for its first week.
Meanwhile, Taylor is tied with Barbra Streisand for most number one albums among women in the Billboard charts, with 11, and she’s now the sixth act with more than 10 chart topping records since the weekly rankings were first published regular from 1956.
She now follows behind The Beatles (19) and Jay-Z (14), while Drake, Bruce Springsteen and Streisand all also have 11.
Although ‘Midnights’ is Taylor’s 10th studio album and her self-titled peaked at number five, the ‘Taylor’s Version’ re-recordings of ‘Fearless’ and ‘Red’ both topped the charts.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Minogue will be forever grateful to have headlined Glastonbury.
The 54-year-old pop superstar – who was meant to headline the Legends slot at the annual music festival in 2005 but was forced to pull out after being diagnosed with breast cancer – finally got the chance to take to the Pyramid stage at Worthy Farm in 2019 with a setlist that consisted of hits from her 30-year career in music and still “struggles” to process what it meant for her.
She said: “I still struggle to encapsulate what it meant: it was like an out-of-body experience. It was so mind-blowing, emotional, and nerve-racking, but within all of the emotion I knew how hard I had worked to be there, and I wanted to say thank you to everyone who had been part of my journey, and to myself. I don’t give myself much of a break, but Glastonbury was a measure of how far I’d come and I really wanted to celebrate that. I will be eternally thankful for one of the most amazing moments of my life.
The ‘Spinning Around’ hitmaker – who became the first female artist to have a chart-topping album in the UK for five consecutive decades when she released her 15th studio album ‘Disco’ in lockdown – went on to tease that she is now working on her next record and even though it is a “challenge” to find the theme, she still “loves” the process.
She told The Guardian: “I’m working on my next album. It’s always a challenge to find the song and feel of the album but I do love the process. I made my last album largely in lockdown, so I’ve loved getting back into the studio with some of my favourite creatives.”

The former Little Mix star split from her record label over creative differences after the release of her first solo single ‘Boyz’ over a year ago but Jesy, 31, is finally ready to share her new music with the world.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Jesy threw a party a few weeks ago and invited some of her friends to hear some of the new music she has been writing and recording.
“She was overwhelmed by their reaction, as they all loved it.
“The music is more reflective of where Jesy is today and she thinks it will resonate more with Little Mix fans.”
Jesy recently returned to Instagram following a social media break and promised her fans that she will be dropping new music early next year.
She wrote: “Hello my beautiful people, I am back! I decided I needed a bit of a social media break and it did me the world of good. I have missed you all so much.
“Thank you to all my amazing fans for being so loyal and patient I promise you there will be music soon but wanted to make sure it was perfect!
“Keep your eyes out for some clues but it is coming early next year.”
Although Jesy is focused on her music, those around her are also encouraging her to release a beauty brand.
A source recently explained: “Jesy is totally focused on her music at the moment but when that project is ready, people have bandied around the idea of her dipping her toe into the cosmetics market.”
They added she and her friends have seen the likes of Rihanna find success with her Fenty Beauty line and some of those close to Jesy think she could do well by emulating that.
The insider explained: “It is not something in the pipeline currently but Jesy is known for her love of glamorous make-up and there is a market there for her if she chooses to go down that route.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Keith Levene has died.
The Public Image Ltd. guitarist – who was also one of the original members of The Clash – died of liver cancer at the age of 65 on Friday (11.11.22), his family and friends have revealed.
His partner, Kate Ransford, who was with the musician in his final hours along with his sister Jill Bennett and her husband, said Keith had died “peacefully, settled, cosy and loved”.
The news was first announced by writer Adam Hammond, who had been working with the musician on a history of PiL.
He tweeted: “It is with great sadness I report that my close friend and legendary Public Image Limited guitarist Keith Levene passed away on Friday 11th November.
“There is no doubt that Keith was one of the most innovative, audacious and influential guitarists of all time.
“Keith sought to create a new paradigm in music and with willing collaborators John Lydon and Jah Wobble succeeded in doing just that. His guitar work over the nine minutes of ‘Theme’, the first track on the first PiL album, defined what alternative music should be.
“As well as helping to make PiL the most important band of the age, Keith also founded The Clash with Mick Jones and had a major influence on their early sound.
“So much of what we listen to today owes much to Keith’s work, some of it acknowledged, most of it not.
“Our thoughts and love go out to his partner Kate, sister Jill and all of Keith’s family and friends. The world is a darker place without his genius. Mine will be darker without my mate.”
PiL’s former drummer, Martin Atkins, paid tribute to the “guitar giant”.
Retweeting an image of the band from 1980, he wrote: “A sad time to learn of the passing of guitar giant Keith Levene.
“We had our ups and downs that had mellowed over time. My respect for his unique talent never will. @pilofficial”
Bandmate Jah Wobble simply tweeted: “RIP KEITH LEVINE”
He later thanked fans for their kind messages as he began retweeting a number of other tributes.
He wrote: “Thanks for all the messages of condolence re Keith …but it’s his partner and family who are really impacted by his passing (sic)”
Keith – who was born Julian Levene in Muswell Hill, north London – founded The Clash win bandmate Mick Jones in 19976 and encouraged Joe Strummer to quit his own group to join them. He left the punk pioneers before they had recorded many songs, but does appear on ‘What’s My Name’ on their debut album.
He went on to join John Lydon and Jah Wobble in Public Image Ltd. in 1978, before quitting in 1983 over creative differences.
He released a number of solo records towards the end of his career and was an investor in Bitcoin.

OHMYGOSSIP — Mel B has teased the Spice Girls have “exciting plans” in the pipeline.
The 47-year-old pop star reunited with former bandmates Geri Horner, Emma Bunton, and Melanie C for a UK stadium tour in 2019 and though the group – which originally also included Victoria Beckham – are rumoured to be hitting the road again in 2023, she refused to confirm exactly what is in store for them.
She told HELLO! Magazine: “We’ve got exciting plans, so watch out But I’m the one who is always in trouble for shooting my mouth off, so I’d better leave it at that.”
The comments made by the ‘‘I Want You Back’ hitmaker – who was known as Scary Spice during her heyday with the ‘Viva Forever singers – come just days after bandmate Emma ‘Baby Spice’ Bunton revealed that the groundbreaking girl group would spend their days in the studio drinking booze because they could “get away with anything” in the 1990s.
She said: “We used to have a brilliant time and we used to sometimes go out so late, have a few hours sleep then get back on stage, it was bad. When we were in the studio we did drink lots. The 90s were the best for that, you could get away with anything!”
The ‘What Took You So Long?’ songstress – who along with her bandmates is celebrating the 25th anniversary of their chart-topping album ‘Spiceworld’ – went on to add that she would always feel “weird” if she were to wear something usually associated with the other girls, such as Mel’s leopard print or Ginger Spice’s famous union jack emblem and finds the idea odd to this day.
She added: “I would always feel weird if I wore any leopard print, I just couldn’t do it, I still find it weird wearing leopard print or Union Jack!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Backstreet Boys are planning another Las Vegas residency.
The ‘I Want It That Way’ hitmakers completed a two-year stint at Planet Hollywood in 2019 but are hoping to book another concert series there, which will last even longer, because they “loved” the experience.
Brian Littrell said: “We loved Vegas as you can settle in and it’s like you just show up to the office. You don’t forget where you are performing, you don’t have to remember the name of the city. We’re planning on going back.”
His bandmate AJ McLean added to The Sun on Sunday newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Hopefully we are going back to do another residency, to play for a little longer.
“Those types of shows are easier on us as a band — there is no travel involved. If I want to leave Vegas, it’s only a 40-minute flight back to LA.
“I even moved my mum out there about five years ago and, when I go visit her, I see a whole new side.
“It’s beautiful, residential, fun, it’s warm and there is a plethora of beautiful golf courses. It’s so much more than just the strip.”
AJ enjoys making the most of the gambling opportunities offered by Sin City when he’s in town.
He said: “I’ve dialled it back, but for me it’s either poker or blackjack.
“I’ve got the same table at Planet Hollywood I’ve played at since we started the residency. The same two dealers — if they’re not working, I won’t play. I have not lost yet on that table.”
The group – which also includes Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson and Howie Dorough — celebrate their 30th anniversary next year and are as close as ever.
AJ said: “Every day we have off, three or four of us are on the golf course, going for dinner together and having a lot more fun together as a group.”
Meanwhile, the band are excited about their upcoming music video ‘Christmas In New York’, for which they have been recreated in clay.
Brian said: “We did a claymation video. It’s going to be adorable — we had to approve our little characters.”
AJ quipped: “Four of the five look like us, except Howie, who looks like Marc Anthony. We have to fix his facial hair.”
