OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Cliff Richard has announced his new single, ‘Heart of Christmas’, taken from his first festive LP in 19 years.
The 81-year-old music legend is set to drop the Yuletide collection ‘Christmas With Cliff’ on November 25, and fans will be able to hear the latest tune from midday on Thursday (24.11.22).
As well as festive covers such as ‘Joy To The World’, ‘Jingle Bell Rock’ and ‘Sleigh Ride’, the ‘Devil Woman’ hitmaker has recorded brand new original tracks, also including ‘First Christmas’ and ‘Six Days After Christmas (Happy New Year)’.
The ‘Summer Holiday’ singer ironically recorded the festive songs in sunny Florida.
He said in a statement: “I have always loved being in recording studios ever since Studio 2, Abbey Road, in 1958.
“I recorded this album in Criteria Studios in Miami, Florida – 4,427 miles away from Abbey Road – and once again I felt that I was in a world of my own.
“I had the help of two producers, Sam Hollander and Chris Walden.
“They guided me through the ‘well-known’ Christmas songs and freed me to sing them my way.
“They had differing approaches to the songs that I asked them to produce for me, and they gave this album the dynamics that I had hoped for.
“This album is not just mine – it belongs to all of us involved in creating it, and I hope that we add a little something special to your Christmas season.”
The ‘Honky Tonk Angel’ singer released ‘Cliff at Christmas’ in 2003 and ‘Together With Cliff Richard’ in 1991.
Cliff has had four UK Christmas No.1 singles, two as a solo artist with ‘Mistletoe and Wine’ and ‘Saviour’s Day’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jisoo and Camila Cabello joined forces for a duet of ‘Liar’ at BLACKPINK’s final date of their North American jaunt.
The K-Pop girl group – also comprising Jennie, Rosé and Lisa – drew the US leg of their ‘Born Pink’ world tour to a close in sensational fashion at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles on Sunday (20.11.22), bringing out the former Fifth Harmony star to perform the track from Camila’s LP ‘Romance’.
The ‘Don’t Go Yet’ hitmaker came out on stage in a custom ‘Born Pink’ outfit.
The evening also saw Jennie treat fans to an unreleased solo tune, the name of which is not known at this time.
The ‘Sour Candy’ hitmakers will next play The O2 in London on November 30 and December 1, before heading to Europe.
The band will then head to Australia, Singapore and Thailand in 2023.
BLACKPINK have collaborated with the biggest names in music, including Cardi B, Selena Gomez and Lady Gaga.
Selena previously said ‘Ice Cream’ turned out so well because her and BLACKPINK’s “distinct styles fit together perfectly”.
She said: “It’s also been a learning process because the language was new. But, somehow our distinct styles, along with their energy … we just fit together perfectly.
“The BLACKPINK girls were so welcoming, we had an absolute blast while working on the song.”
BLACKPINK previously described the process as “very natural” and insisted they always knew Selena would “fit into it right away”.
They said: “It was really, very natural. We were very aware of her, we were big fans, and since we are under this same record label, and so we’ve been aware of her for a very long time. Luckily, when this song came out … we had it for a while, and we had the idea to have Selena on it, because we obviously knew she would fit into it right away. And yeah, it happened very naturally.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Louis Tomlinson is considering releasing his solo music under disguise.
The former One Direction star grew tired of people’s “perception” of his music after coming out of the chart-topping boy band and is still to this day contemplating creating a different persona and moniker to put out his tunes.
In an interview with Music Week magazine, he said: “Around halfway through making ‘Walls’, I had a conversation with my manager at the time, because I [was thinking about] a number of things, the sessions I was going into and the natural perception and judgement around coming out of a band like One Direction… I had this plan in my mind that was, not quite like a Gorillaz kind of vibe, but something where I could hide who I am, and maybe people like the song first, and then be surprised that it’s me. I definitely went through that process in my head. I mean, I might still do it one day, I do like the idea.”
Asked why he’d want to do that, Louis – who released his chart-topping second studio album, ‘Faith In The Future’, this month – explained: “From the fact that I felt frustrated about the perception and the judgement I’m always going to be up against. I understand that I’ve lived long enough now, that’s why I have to play the long game, but it’s about chipping away at this idea of me as a solo artist and someone coming out of a band.”
The 30-year-old star – who has six-year-old son Freddie with stylist Briana Jungwirth – admits he has to “almost” become a “different version of myself” when he’s with his young boy.
He said: “Where I’m quite lucky in my life is that my job keeps me feeling forever like I’m 18, it just has that way about it. We’re always moving about. But when I go and spend my personal time with my son in LA, it gives me… That’s when I feel, you know, like a responsible 30-year-old. I put my Dad hat on and I’m almost taking on a slightly different version of myself, because that’s what’s required as a parent.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Blur have announced a second Wembley Stadium reunion gig “due to phenomenal demand”.
The Britpop legends recently announced a pair of reunion shows at London’s Wembley Stadium on July 8, 2023, and Beauregard Festival in Hérouville-Saint-Clair, Normandy only July 6, their first in seven years.
And after tickets swiftly sold out, the ‘Parklife’ group have added a second date at Wembley on July 9, with tickets already on sale.
A tweet read: “Due to phenomenal demand, Blur will play a second date at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 9 July 2023.”
Lead guitarist Graham Coxon has described the Wembley gig as a dream come true.
He told Sky News: “Turns out it’s incredibly difficult to arrange something like this, you know, the technical resources, the staff, the places to play. All of these things are in very, very short supply.
“So it went right up to the wire, but it’s very hard to turn something like that down.
“We’re a band that’s done almost everything it’s possible to do … what an iconic place, what an iconic venue. It’s just incredibly exciting.”
He added: “It’s one of these iconic places that are secretly up on your bucket list, even though you pretend they’re not.
“I sincerely hope we are a band that can fill a stadium like that. I don’t want there to be four people and a dog.”
Meanwhile, his bandmate, drummer Dave Rowntree, recently divulged that the chemistry the foursome – also including frontman Damon Albarn and bassist Alex James – have is impossible to “manufacture”.
He told the Daily Star newspaper’s Wired column: “That the foundation of everything we did was the songs, that’s number one.
“Number two is that people still haven’t figured out how Graham gets that guitar sound, and as long as they don’t we’re at the leading edge of things.
“Ultimately, chemistry is the vital element. Damon [Albarn], Graham and I were in various bands pre-Blur, but we got much better when Alex [James] joined – even at the first rehearsal – and we were signed six months later.
“You can’t manufacture chemistry. Fundamentally, music is a people business, not a music business.”

The 43-year-old superstar is set to release her ninth studio album ‘TRUSTFALL ‘ on February 17 2023 via RCA Records, in what will be her first record since ‘Hurts 2B Human’ in 2018.
The ‘Get the Party Started’ hitmaker released ‘Never Gonna Not Dance Again earlier this month as the first single for the album, which was produced by GRAMMY-winning hitmakers Max Martin and Shellback and is also set to perform the song at the 2022 American Music Awards on Sunday (20.11.22) as she pays tribute to late ‘Grease’ legend Dame Olivia Newton-John’, who passed away in August at the age of 73 following a 30-year battle with breast cancer.
News of the new album comes just weeks after the GRAMMY-Award-winning songstress announced a six-date UK stadium tour part of her Summer Carnival 2023.

The 29-year-old rapper has teamed up with streaming service Amazon Music to launch The This Is What I Mean House, a free three-day event to be held at a purpose-built venue on Regent Street London based around his upcoming studio album ‘This Is What I Mean.’

OHMYGOSSIP — Louis Tomlinson can’t believe he has topped the UK album charts.
The 30-year-old singer’s second solo album ‘Faith In The Future’ took the number one spot after a close battle with Bruce Springsteen and Louis admitted it was “not necessarily something I saw coming”.
Speaking to OfficialCharts.com, Louis said: “My album is number one on the Official Charts – I can’t quite believe I’m saying that. I just want to say a massive, massive thank you for all the incredible support the fans have shown me in the last week and my whole career.
“This is an absolute honour and not necessarily something I saw coming. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
He added on Twitter: “NUMBER 1 IN THE UK! F****** love you all!!!

‘Faith In The Future’ is Louis’ follow-up to his debut solo album ‘Walls’, which was released in 2020.

OHMYGOSSIP — Pharrell Williams is convinced God put him to on Earth to make music.
The ‘Happy’ hitmaker has been reflecting on his 30 years in the music industry and declared he still “really loves” his job after three decades – and he’s determined to continue for as long as he can to share the talent bestowed on him from above.
Speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, he explained: “I just calculated the other day, I thought it was only during 20-something years, but ‘Rump Shaker’ came out, might have been August 25, 1992. I need to figure that out. But it’s been 30 years since I’ve released something commercially … And it’s been 30 years. 30 years of, I really write. I really produce. I really compose. I really do this, bro. I really do it, and I really love it. I really love this.”
Pharrell went on to add: “This is what I do. This is what I love to do. This is what God gave me. You know what I’m saying? And nobody, I’m not going to let … Listen. My gift will never be spoken down upon. I will do everything in my power to highlight it, because that’s my job … it’s not my fault if you don’t know that you’re fire. You know what I’m saying? But I know what I am. I know what God put in me.”
The star concluded by saying: “I know I’m a flame. I know it. Not just because motherf***** get burnt getting too close, but because I’m here to light a light. That’s my job, bro. The Neptunes star recently recorded new track ‘Down in Atlanta’ with Travis Scott and Pharrell is adamant he’s committed to making new music.
He said of his future projects: “That’s really what I’m into these days … there’s just certain pockets in your life of moments when you feel the rush, and you feel the intensity, and you feel the magnetism of something that makes you want to listen to it over and over and over again.

OHMYGOSSIP — Vance Joy once walked out of an “awkward” One Direction writing session.
The 34-year-old musician – whose real name is James Gabriel Keogh – revealed he showed up for the writing session but was shocked to find Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson there and things were uncomfortable because they didn’t love his ideas.
He said he went to the songwriting camp in Calabasas, California, and was only told that the people there “work with One Direction” but he had no idea that members of the boyband would be present.
Speaking to Australia’s NOVA radio, he said: “I got to this house, and I soon saw that they must have misplaced the schedule or something and they didn’t know I was coming that day. It was a songwriting day for One Direction, and Louis and Liam were there and I was the spare part, I was the absolute spare part.
“Throughout the day I was like ‘none of my ideas are going through, I’ve got to get out of here’. At some point I was like ‘alright my Uber is coming guys’, and I just got out of there. It was so awkward.”
“I was contributing, but I was also like ‘I shouldn’t be here, they didn’t expect me here today’. They didn’t expect me and they kind of had their idea of [what] One Direction songs are going down.”
However, despite the experience, Vance said the “guys were super nice”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Nadine Coyle has insisted it would be “very wrong” for Girls Aloud to get back together.
The 37-year-old singer revealed she, Nicola Roberts, Cheryl Tweedy, and Kimberley Walsh have vowed not to perform together again because it “wouldn’t be the same” without the late Sarah Harding, who died of cancer last year.
She said about the possibility of a reunion: “It wouldn’t be the same.
“It would feel so very wrong without having Sarah at it.”
The surviving members of the group held a charity gala, The Primrose Ball, last month in honour of Sarah and the quartet were thrilled by the success of the event.
Nadine told the Sun on Sunday newspaper’s Bizarre column: “It was brilliant to get us all together. Sarah would have wanted that. We spoke about it, and she actually wanted to be there, so there was lots of money raised and I was with her oncologist at the table.
“We’ve always been close as a band – we’ve always worked very well together. It’s just such sad circumstances.”
The ‘Insatiable’ singer recalled the last time she saw Sarah, and admitted she didn’t think it was the end at the time.
She said: “It was just before she passed away. I was working the day before. I was in Dublin doing a job. I was very hopeful that there was more time. I would never allow myself to think like that.”
Nadine reflected on the close bond her eight-year-old daughter Anaiya – who she has with Jason Bell – had with Sarah as she spoke of her sadness that they couldn’t spend as much time together as they’d have liked during her friend’s final months.
She said: “Sarah and Anaiya would FaceTime.
“I would get the train to Manchester to see her, but again it was during lockdown and Covid so a lot of the times I wasn’t able to visit her in person.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Johnny Marr wants to work with Alicia Keyes.
The 59-year-old rock star would love to team up with ‘New York’ songstress Alicia – whom he joined on stage at her gig in Manchester earlier this year for a performance of his song ‘This Charming Man – but also wants to team up Polly Harvey and has also just collaborated on a track with fellow rockers Blondie.
He said: “I’d like to do something with Alicia Keys. I’ve worked with her a couple of times, and she’s a really impressive person. And I’ve always had massive admiration for Polly Harvey. I could imagine something happening with Polly. And I’ve just written a new song for Blondie, which I think is pretty good. I’ve got a couple of songs on the go with Modest Mouse as well -I’m doing what I do!”
Meanwhile, the former Smiths star was asked whether he actually played his song ‘The Queen Is Dead’ when Her Late Majesty passed away at the age of 96 in September following a record-breaking 70year- reign and explained that “in all honesty” he was out of the country and didn’t particularly engage with the period of national mourning.
He told MOJO Magazine: “Well, I was out of the country, so I didn’t really engage with it very much. In all honesty, I just saw the Queen’s passing as being the passing of a 96-year-old woman. I’ve never been too drawn into debates about the monarchy be- cause, from being a little boy, they were pretty much meaningless to me. I didn’t see any evidence of them in the Northwest. It might be coming from an Irish family. I would certainly never wish any harm on anyone, and I under- stand absolutely that there’s much more to it, historically and culturally, but I don’t feel connected to that. I was more personally upset by David Bowie dying. I miss him a lot.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Yungblud has revealed his childhood was scarred by his parents’ “abusive” relationship.
The 25-year-old singer – whose real name is Dominic Harrison – grew up in Doncaster in South Yorkshire, England with dad Justin and mum Samantha and two younger sisters, but he says the couple’s explosive rows and trouble stemming from the family’s guitar shop made him miserable.
Speaking to Louis Theroux on his new BBC series ‘Louis Theroux Interviews … ‘, the musician explained: “My parents had this weird, beautifully dark relationship where I don’t know if I’ve ever seen two people love each other as much as they have, but I don’t think I’ve seen anybody hurt each other as much.
“It was physically and mentally and emotionally abusive. I’ve always wanted to build a world where I could exist to escape what was going on around me.”
His parents feature on the show alongside their son and Justin said of the rows with Samantha: “We did shout at each other, you know, excessively.
“I had anger issues and I’m still going for therapy every week. The last few years I’ve been a lot calmer but obviously I needed therapy to control anger bursts and that’s what I did.”
Samantha added: “When we first met we were 16. You fancy the pants off each other. You don’t necessarily respect each other. I’m not trying to justify it but our neutral position is probably one of disrespect and youth and passion and we need to shout loudest and we need to get our own way.
“We went to counselling for quite a few years and I think we learned to respect each other.”
She went on to say she felt “quote guilty” after reading interviews her son had given about his childhood and the singer broke down in tears as he admitted the family have yet to properly work through all their issues together.
He added: “It freaks me out. It’s rough. I just think we haven’t resolved a lot of stuff together yet.”
However, he insisted he loves his family and says was also able to channel his anguish into his music while Justin concluded: “I think our family is very close to say what we’ve been through.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Meighan has claimed that Kasabian tried to “gag” him
The 41-year-old star was the lead vocalist for the rock band in the late 1990s alongside Chris Karloff, Sergio Pizzorno, Chris Edwards, Ian Matthews, and Tim Carter but formally stepped down from the band in 2020 for “personal reasons” – but it later emerged he’d been charged with domestic abuse – and claimed that he was being “watched” during his time in the spotlight, alleging his bandmates plotted to oust him for some time.
He said: “We hired a room out, I started songwriting in my bedroom and we had all our songs on cassette. We just rehearsed and we had belief and we had me, that was the main thing. That was the golden ticket. If you’ve got me then you’re gonna do alright and me f****** did,. We rehearsed religiously four or five times a week and we got a little following. We tried this record label, we tried this record label. The guy who signed Blur didn’t like us, we were called Syracuse back then and then all of a sudden we changed the name to Kasabian, ‘Processed Beats’, and got heard.
“Then record company BMG heard it and a guy called Jeff Docherty wanted to see us. He signed us because I had no fear in my eyes. There you go! And then further down the line, we were at Glastonbury. It was wonderful. We were a family, we were brothers.
“But I felt like I was being watched. Sergio was edging and edging to be the frontman for a long time. I was basically put in a cage and let out and then put back in again. Very, very egotistic leader. It is what it is.
“I’d actually written a contract a few years ago – they’d basically signed me out of the band before for a few years. Nobody knows that. It’s all shh! They tried to gag me so I wouldn’t talk.”
The ‘Fire’ hitmaker’ added that his bandmates tried to silence him with money but refused to sign the contract before joking that even though Sergio got his “wish” in the end by becoming frontman they should change the name of the band.
Speaking during an interview on YouTube series ‘James Hargreaves Guitar’, he added: “[They wanted to] give me a bit of money so I would shut my mouth and never talk about the band again so I just wanna clarify that. It was over some publishing money. They were trying to dangle a carrot because I needed the money and I wouldn’t sign it. But if I did sign it, I’d get the money and I’d never be able to talk about the band again. It was Sergio’s wish. I think he ended me because I could see it did his head in. He’s very ‘me, me, me’ and he always wanted to be the frontman and now he’s got it. They should change the name at least though!”

OHMYGOSSIP — SZA will release her long-awaited second studio album ‘S.O.S’ next month.
The ‘Good Days’ singer explained that the reason for the long gap between her 2017 debut LP ‘Ctrl’ and its follow-up is nothing to do with “album pressure”, but finding it hard to fit in time for the record while dealing with life.
SZA’s grandmother’s battle with Alzheimer’s and the COVID-19 pandemic have made it harder.
Speaking to Billboard magazine, the star – whose real name is Solána Imani Rowe – explained: “It’s not like the album pressure, it’s just, life is f****** hard.
“To be expected to do anything at a high level while life is life-ing is f****** crazy. This isn’t meant for a person, it’s meant for a machine.”
The 33-year-old star admits it’s “not sustainable” for her to go “chasing after superstardom”, but she’ll give it her best shot.
She said: “I feel like music, in this capacity, I don’t see longevity.
“I like to create, I like to write, I like to sing, and I like to share. But I don’t know if chasing after superstardom or whatever I’m supposed to be doing right now is sustainable for me. I’mma take a good swing at it, and I’mma give ’em my absolute best.”
The lead single, ‘Shirt’, was released in October. An official release date for the album is yet to be announced.
In a recent interview, SZA insisted she didn’t want to give herself a deadline for the LP.
She told Complex: “I don’t have any deadlines, because at the end of the day, when my s*** comes out, it comes out.
“And if ever I lose my ability to choose, I have no problem vacating my current life and doing something different.
“I’m not glued to being an artist for the rest of my life or anything for that matter. I’m seeing where it takes me.”

The ‘Take Your Mama’ group – comprising Jake Shears, Babydaddy, Ana Matronic and Del Marquis – have inked a catalogue deal for their entire collection with the arm of Warner Music Group.
Babydaddy – whose real name is Scott Hoffman – said: “The Scissor Sisters’ songs still connect with so many fans all over the world, and we’re so excited to have found a home with the worldwide acclaim of Warner Chappell Music.
“We’re stoked to announce that the incredible team at Warner Chappell will be continuing the Scissor Sisters’ journey along with us.”
The chart-toppers are working with the label to “reinvigorate” their music and bring it to new ears.

Scissor Sisters have released four studio albums to date, their latest being 2012’s ‘Magic Hour’, which was co-produced by Calvin Harris.

The late hip-hop icon’s estate has teamed up with the tech giant on ‘Sky’s the Limit’, which will be shown on Meta’s Horizon Worlds VR platform and Facebook on December 16.
Biggie was killed in a drive-by shooting in March 1997, aged 24.
The ‘Hypnotize’ rapper’s avatar will perform and take viewers on a “narrative journey” of the Brooklyn star’s life.
Music journalist Touré will voice Biggie.
On what would have been Biggie’s 50th birthday on May 21, the Empire State Building changed its lights’ colour to red and white, with a crown spinning on its mast to honour the iconic star.
A special memorial ceremony was also held at the New York landmark and attended by a host of friends and collaborators – including Lil Kim, Lil’ Cease and Voletta Wallace, the rapper’s mother.
In Brooklyn, the Barclays Center paid homage to Biggie’s life by featuring a video montage of his records on the display above the arena’s entrance.
What’s more, New York City’s public transportation agency put out a special edition MetroCard on May 21 that featured the ‘Juicy’ hitmaker.
Biggie – whose real name was Christopher Wallace – rose to stardom alongside Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs in the early 90s.
And Diddy previously admitted that “the money, the fame [and] the success” lost all meaning for him following the death of his good friend.
He shared: “It made me appreciate life, and it made me want to … do things for the greater good.”
