OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift sent fans into a frenzy when she performed ‘Anti-Hero’ for the first time at The 1975’s London concert.
Matty Healy and co headlined The O2 arena on Thursday night (12.01.23) for their first of two consecutive nights at the venue, and they had a very unexpected treat in store.
In a move no-one anticipated, the 33-year-old US pop megastar appeared on stage in a shiny silver sequin gown and performed the track from her latest LP ‘Midnights’, and she also did a cover of The 1975’s track ‘The City’.
The surprise appearance comes after Matty claimed The 1975 “worked on” a version of ‘Midnights’ that didn’t come to fruition.
In November, the ‘I’m In Love With You’ hitmakers appeared on Kroq’s ‘DTS Sound Space’ to be interviewed in front of a live audience and Matty was asked if he got to hear the album before it was released, to which he let slip: “Yeah. We actually worked a bit on that. But then [that] version of it never came out.”
His response was met with boos, but he swiftly explained: “No, no, no – that’s not how it works. It [didn’t work out] for reasons that are not to be criticised. She’s amazing.”
The month prior to October’s ‘Midnights’ being released, a fake track-listing leaked online with The 1975 listed as a featured artist on the track ‘In My Dreams’.
However, Matty insisted it wasn’t real and that they hadn’t worked with the ‘Karma’ hitmaker, though they’d like to.
He said at the time: “We’d love to … love to work with Taylor Swift.
“[I] love Taylor Swift … think she’s one of the best songwriters. Yeah, no … we haven’t done that. We’d love to though, wouldn’t we?”
Drummer George Daniel added: “Yes please.”
And Matty joked that Taylor was probably at home watching the interview and “pining” to appear on one of the pop rock band’s songs.
He quipped: “She’s probably sat there watching this, pining for a feature on a 1975 track.”
The 1975 released their fifth record ‘Being Funny in a Foreign Language’ the same month as Taylor, and the ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ singer thought their LP was “so funny”.
Matty previously revealed he missed an opportunity to ask Taylor to collaborate with him – but believes “she will do it” eventually.
The 33-year-old star was inches away from the US superstar at the NME Awards in 2020, but admitted he didn’t have the nerve to “pitch his post-rock Joni Mitchell project” to her.

OHMYGOSSIP — John Fogerty has regained ownership of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s back catalogue.
The 77-year-old musician has spent years fighting for his songs and he has now bought a majority interest in the global publishing rights to his extensive discography from Concord Records, who had acquired the band’s work when they bought out Fantasy Records in 2004, restoring royalties to the singer in good faith that same year.
John would soon have had some US publishing rights restored under a law which caps copyright on intellectual property at 56 years, but he and his wife Julie decided to also seek majority control of worldwide rights.
He told Billboard: “The happiest way to look at it is, yeah, it isn’t everything. It’s not a 100% win for me, but it’s sure better than it was. I’m really kind of still in shock. I haven’t allowed my brain to really, actually, start feeling it yet.”
He also tweeted: “As of this January, I own my songs again.
“This is something I thought would never be a possibility.
After 50 years, I am finally reunited with my songs. I also have a say in where and how my songs are used. Up until this year, that is something I have never been able to do.”
Under the terms of the deal, Concord will retain the Creedence Clearwater Revival master recordings already in its catalogue and will continue to administer John’s share of the publishing catalogue for an unspecified limited time.
Concord president Bob Valentine said: “John’s songs are some of the greatest compositions of the 20th century.
“We’ve been honoured to own and represent these works ever since we acquired Fantasy in 2004. Given the unique set of circumstances around the history of John’s relationship with Fantasy, we were more than happy to oblige John and Julie in working out an agreement for these songs to revert back to him early.
“And we’re profoundly grateful that John has agreed to partner with Concord for the remaining worldwide copyrights on the share of these songs that we will retain.”
The ‘Bad Moon Rising’ hitmakers – which also included John’s brother Tom, Stu Cook and Doug Clifford – signed to Saul Zaentz’s Fantasy Records in 1968 and in 1980, the ‘Fortunate Son’s singer opted to relinquish all rights to the band’s music to the label boss in a bid to get out of their contact, sparking a long bitter legal battle.
This included a failed plagiarism lawsuit filed by the movie producer against his former artist over one of John’s own songs that he no longer held the rights for, and agreeing a publishing deal which eventually fell through.
Zaentz – who funded much of his movie production career from the band’s royalties – died from Alzheimer’s complications in 2014.

OHMYGOSSIP — Mo Gilligan will return as the host of The BRIT Awards 2023 with Mastercard.
The comedian made his debut at the helm of the prestigious music awards ceremony last year, and he’ll be back poking fun at the biggest stars in music when the bash returns to London’s The O2 arena on February 11.
While hosting last year, Mo – who took over from fellow comedian Jack Whitehall – was forced to apologise after swearing before the 9pm watershed during an hilarious impression of Liam Gallagher, and he’s vowed to go “even bigger” this year.
Mo said: “Hosting the BRITs last year was one of the most phenomenal moments of my life. I’ve been so honoured to get to know the incredible team behind the biggest night in music and so proud to bring our amazing audiences even closer to their favourite artists. I promise you, we’re going to go even bigger this year… Let’s go!”
2023 BRIT Awards Chair and Managing Director and President of Promotions at Atlantic Records (part of Warner Music UK) Damian Christian added: “Making sure we got Mo back to host this year’s awards was a huge priority for us. He is one of the biggest names in UK entertainment right now and he did an amazing job hosting his first BRITs last year. We’re looking forward to working with him and watching as he brings his unique humour and style to our stage and screens once again.”
The nominations will be announced via an exclusive live stream on Thursday (12.01.23) at 4pm and on BRIT Awards social media channels.
Vick Hope and Jack Saunders will lead a group of celebrities unveiling the shortlist.
R+B trio FLO were recently unveiled as the winners of the Rising Star prize, making history as the first group to win the accolade.
The BRITs with Mastercard will be broadcast live on ITV1 and ITVX – from The O2 arena.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ellie Goulding has delayed the release of her fifth studio album.
The pop star was due to release the follow-up to 2020’s ‘Brightest Blue’, ‘Higher Than Heaven’, on February 3, however, fans will now have to wait until March 24.
The ‘Lights’ singer explained that she’s been forced to push the LP back slightly due to “some exciting opportunities”, which she’ll “share” with fans “in due course”.
However, she did tease the new single ‘Like a Saviour’, which is “coming soon”, and follows ‘Easy Lover’, ‘All by Myself’ and ‘Let It Die’.
She began the Instagram post: “To my incredible fans- I’m sorry to announce that we’re delaying the release of Higher Than Heaven to March 24. I know you’ve all been so patient with me but we’ve had some exciting opportunities appear behind the scenes which I cannot wait to share with you in due course. In the meantime as a thank you for your patience , I’m excited to confirm that my new single is called Like A Saviour. It’s coming soon , we’ve shot the video and it’s one of my favourite videos I’ve ever done. And as a small thank you for bearing with me I wanted to give you a first look at it. We also shot something really exciting this past weekend that’ll come around the album’s release. More on that very soon…”
Revealing the new release date, she continued: “Thank you all so much for sticking by me. I can’t wait to finally share this record with you all on March 24 and I hope you love it as much as I do.”

The 36-year-old star ditched ballads on her upcoming record.
Ellie’s hit love songs include ‘Still Falling For You’ from the ‘Bridget Jones’s Baby’ soundtrack and ‘Love Me Like You Do’ from the erotic rom-com ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’.
However, the ‘Burn’ hitmaker noticed a shift in people’s music tastes post-pandemic, with most favouring upbeat dance tunes – so fans can expect just that ‘Higher Than Heaven’.
She said: “No-one seems to be into ballads at the moment post-pandemic.
“People want to make music to move to. That’s basically what my new album sounds like.”
The ‘I Need Your Love’ hitmaker recently said of her return to her electronic dance-pop roots: “I spent a lot of time by myself, quite introspective. I had a backlog of things I wanted to write about.
“It was quite deep and emotional. And this album is the opposite of that. I found this dream team of writers, who just for some reason, without even having to talk about it, were all on the same page. Together we’re on this mission just to have fun. We just want to make music for people to dance to and forget about everything in the past year.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Meek Mill has apologised after causing a backlash for filming a music video at Ghana’s presidential home.
The US rapper – whose real name is Robert Rihmeek Williams – released the visual for the promo and came under fire, along with the country’s government, for showing aerial shots of President Nana Akufo-Addo’s residence, Jubilee House, with many believing it poses as a risk to his safety.
The hip-hop star insisted he never meant any “disrespect”.
He tweeted on Monday (09.01.23): “To the people of Ghana no video I drop is ever meant to disrespect the people of Ghana …. The fastest way to make connection is thru music and I wanted to do that with displaying art … im in my 30’s from America and didn’t know much about the lifestyle here (sic)”
The ‘Levels rapper explained that his intention with the video was to “make the connection between black people in America and Africa” – and he vowed to “push” to do just that.
Meek added: “My apologies to the people if any disrespect! We still gonna push to make the connection between black people in America and Africa … what I’m trying to do is more than a video and you should see coming soon! My apologies to the office also!”
The apology for the video comes after the music star posted bail for 20 women so they could spend Christmas with their families.
The 35-year-old rap star lent his support to the women last month, explaining that no-one should have to spend Christmas in jail “simply because they can’t afford bail.”
He said in a statement: “For families impacted by the criminal justice system, the holidays can be an extremely challenging time.
“No one should have to spend the holidays in jail simply because they can’t afford bail, and no child should be without their parents during this time if we can do something about it. I’m grateful for the opportunity to help these women be with their families and loved ones during this special time of year.”
Meek’s gesture was also explained in an Instagram post on the page of his non-profit REFORM Alliance.
The post read: “The women, who were unable to afford bail, will now be able to spend the holiday season with their families and loved ones. Five women were released today and will be reunited with their families, with the goal of 15 more women being released in the coming week. The women will also each receive a gift card to purchase groceries or gifts for the holidays.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Everything But The Girl are back with their first new music in 24 years.
The 90s’ electronica duo – comprising singer Tracey Thorn and multi-instrumentalist Ben Watt – have unveiled their comeback album ‘Fuse’ and shared the hypnotic lead single, ‘Nothing Left To Lose’.
Tracey, 60, said: “Ironically the finished sound of the new album was the last thing on our mind when we started in March 2021. Of course, we were aware of the pressures of such a long-awaited comeback, so we tried to begin instead in a spirit of open-minded playfulness, uncertain of the direction, receptive to invention.”
On the recording time, Ben, also 60, said: “It was exciting. A natural dynamism developed. We spoke in short-hand, and little looks, and co-wrote instinctively. It became more than the sum of our two selves. It just became Everything But The Girl on its own.”
Being back in the studio after more than two decades, Tracey felt a “friction and a natural spark” with her musical partner and husband.
She added: “After so much time apart professionally, there was both a friction and a natural spark in the studio when we began.
“However, as much we underplayed it at the start, it was like a fuse had been lit. And it ended in a kind of coalescence, an emotional fusion. It felt very real and alive.”
Everything But The Girl’s last studio album was 1999’s ‘Temperamental’.
The ‘Missing’ hitmakers formed in 1982, and went on to have 12 Top 40 Singles in the UK.
A decade later, Ben was diagnosed with the rare auto-immune disorder, Churg-Strauss syndrome, and underwent life-saving operations during a 10-week stint in hospital.
The pair – who tied the knot in 2009 – released two EPs in 1993, and would release two more albums before their last, 1994’s ‘Amplified Heart’ and 1996’s ‘Walking Wounded’.
EBTG embarked on their lengthy hiatus in 2000, bidding farewell with their final performance at Montreux Jazz Festival.
‘Fuse’ will be released on April 21, listen to ‘Nothing Left To Lose’ now on all major platforms.

OHMYGOSSIP — Bad Bunny, BLACKPINK and Frank Ocean are set to headline the Coachella festival.
Promoters of the event have announced that Bad Bunny and the South Korean girl group – which includes members Jisoo, Jennie, Rose, and Lisa – will be among the headline acts at the world-famous event in Indio, California in April.
Bad Bunny is one of the world’s most popular artists and in 2022, he earned as much as $435.38 million from his ‘World’s Hottest Tour’.
The 28-year-old rap star actually surpassed the previous record, which was set by Ed Sheeran for his ‘Divide’ tour in 2018, when he earned $432.3 million.
Bad Bunny – whose real name is Benito Ocasio – also became the most streamed artist on Spotify for the third year in a row. In 2022 alone, his music was actually streamed more than 18.5 billion times.
Meanwhile, Frank was actually due to perform at Coachella in 2020. However, the event was derailed by the COVID-19 pandemic and he’s been forced to wait until now to appear at the festival.
Elsewhere, other big-name acts who will perform at the event include Gorillaz, Rosalia, Bjork, Blondie, Burna Boy, Charli XCX, and Calvin Harris.
Alongside an image of the list of artists, the official Twitter account of Coachella read: “Ugh was stuck in drafts
“Register now for access to passes at http://coachella.com. Presale begins Friday, 1/13 at 11am PT. Very limited Weekend 1 passes remain. For your best chance at passes, look to Weekend 2. (sic)”
The festival was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But the event returned last year, when the likes of Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, The Weeknd and Swedish House Mafia all performed.
Organisers of the 2023 edition have confirmed that it will be staged over two weekends, starting on April 14.

OHMYGOSSIP — Fall Out Boy have sent seashells to fans including Oli Sykes to tease their new album.
The Bring Me The Horizon frontman is among those who have received a seashell at their home sent by the ‘Sugar We’re Going Down’ hitmakers as they continue the cryptic campaign.
Sharing a picture of his package from the pop punk megastars, he wrote on Instagram: “Wtf what is this [and] why is it at my house”.
The shell had “1 of 13” written in the middle, while there was an accompanying letter on headed paper which read: “A Homeboy’s Life”.
Dated January 19, 2023, it also included the message “Love from the otherside”, and is signed off with the initials of the band members and the group’s name.
Last week, the band – made up of Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz, Joe Trohman and Andy Hurley – continued to tease the follow-up to 2018’s ‘M A N I A’ with a letter to fans promising “more than a gold watch” in the pipeline.
In an email sent to fans entitled ‘A Homeboy’s Life’, they cryptically pondered: “Here we are finishing another spin around the sun, a cosmic twirl. Still trying to get free of everything we’re supposed to be.
“But before the champagnes gone warm and flat, Glitter to dust, squinted eyes at the new year sun: Let’s prime the engine and take it out for another magic trip.
“We spent the last year jamming ideas in a tiny room [and] can’t wait to share them with you.”
The band hinted that fans won’t have too long to wait, and thanked them “for always sticking around”.
Back in November, the ‘Centuries’ rockers took out an advert in the Chicago Tribute newspaper teasing their upcoming – as yet unannounced – eighth album.
The ad was on a black background and read “FOB 8” followed by the words: “If you build it, they will come”.

OHMYGOSSIP — U2 are to release a new album of re-imagined and re-recorded songs in March.
The band will drop 40-song LP ‘Songs of Surrender’, following frontman Bono’s memoir ‘Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story’, which was released in November.
U2 will release the record on March 17th.
They wrote on their official Twitter account: “Songs Of Surrender. 40 Songs. Reimagined and rerecorded. March 17, 2023. #U2SOS40”
It comes after U2’s guitarist The Edge teased a new project in letters to fans, admitting the band are heading in a “new direction”.
He wrote: “When a song becomes well known, it’s always associated with a particular voice. I can’t imagine ‘Tangled Up In Blue’ without the reedy timbre of Bob Dylan or ‘All The Time In The World’ without the unique voice of Louis Armstrong. So what happens when a voice develops and experience and maturity give it additional resonance?
U2 have been around long enough to know what that is like. It’s true for us all, but it’s particularly true for Bono.
“The fact is that most of our work was written and recorded when we were a bunch of very young men. Those songs mean something quite different to us now. Some have grown with us. Some we have outgrown. But we have not lost sight of what propelled us to write those songs in the first place. The essence of those songs is still in us, but how to reconnect with that essence when we have moved on, and grown so much?
“Music allows you to time travel and so we started to imagine what it would be like to bring these songs back with us to the present day and give them the benefit or otherwise, of a 21st century re-imagining. What started as an experiment quickly became a personal obsession as so many early U2 songs yielded to a new interpretation. Intimacy replaced post-punk urgency. New keys. New chords. New tempos and new lyrics arrived. It turns out that great song is kind of indestructible. Once we surrendered our reverence for the original version each song started to open up to a new authentic voice of this time, of the people we are, and particularly the singer Bono has become.
“I hope you like our new direction.”
The track list is yet to be confirmed, but some supporters of the band – who are also made up of Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr. – have speculated that it could be the same as the songs in Bono’s memoir, which told the stories of 40 songs from U2’s back catalogue.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sugababes and The 1975 complete the line-up for BRITs Week presented by Mastercard for War Child.
The reunited ‘Overload’ hitmakers – comprising original members Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena and Siobhan Donaghy – will play an intimate gig at The Garage in London on February 8 in aid of the charity that supports children living in war-torn countries.
Indie pop group The 1975 will play Manchester’s Gorilla on February 1, giving fans of the ‘I’m In Love With You’ group a rare opportunity to catch the band in an intimate venue following their arena run.
The War Child pre-sale begins at 9am on January 12 for those subscribed before midnight on January 11.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Smith and Kim Petras are reportedly set to perform at the BRIT Awards 2023 with Mastercard.
The pop star is said to be planning an epic set and has invited their ‘Unholy’ duet partner to perform the mega-hit with them at The O2 in London on February 11.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “It has been a tricky few years for Sam but a big performance at the BRITs cements an incredible reinvention and ushers in a new era of success.
“They want to deliver really impressive staging to wow fans so work is well underway.
“Sam’s new album ‘Gloria’ is being released at the end of this month so there will be new music which could be weaved into the performance.
“But Sam is bringing their pal Kim along so ‘Unholy’ will definitely be sung.”
Sam’s upcoming LP ‘Gloria’ is set to feature Ed Sheeran, Jessie Reyez and Koffee.
Nominations for the glitzy music bash will be announced from 4pm on Thursday (12.01.23).
The BRITs gig news comes after Kim teased the pair are looking to make a follow-up to ‘Unholy’.
Sam and Kim stormed the charts with the record-breaking tune last this year, and they plan to continue their collaborative relationship.
The 30-year-old star said: “I definitely am talking to Sam right now about having a song on my album that’s coming up.
“I would just love to keep collaborating because it’s really rare that you find artists that you’re on the same page with, who you write well with and who you want to be in the studio with.
“I really feel like we were meant to meet and we just have such a connection – like lost sisters from a past life. The song has been such a blessing which has brought me so much joy.
“I hear it at McDonald’s and every Uber I get into, it’s so wild.”
‘Unholy’ made them the first non-binary and transgender artists to sit atop the Billboard 100.

OHMYGOSSIP — An advert promoting Demi Lovato’s album ‘Holy Fvck’ has been banned in the UK for being likely to “cause serious offence to Christians”.
The pop rock star’s poster of her wearing “bondage” on a crucifix mattress for her latest LP has breached the code of the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) for “linking sexuality to the sacred symbol of the crucifix and the crucifixion.”
The ASA explained that Demi being “bound up in a bondage-style outfit whilst lying on a mattress shaped like a crucifix, in a position with her legs bound to one side which was reminiscent of Christ on the cross, together with the reference to ‘Holy Fvck’, which in that context was likely to be viewed as linking sexuality to the sacred symbol of the crucifix and the crucifixion, was likely to cause serious offence to Christians.”
It said: “We, therefore, concluded the ad breached the Code.”
The poster was erected in six locations across London last summer, and Polydor Records, a division of Universal Music, has insisted they were told it was fine to position them where they had and that no offence was intended.
Four complaints were received by the ASA, which said the posters were viewable to young eyes, Sky News reports.
The regulator said: “We told Universal Music Operations to ensure their ads did not cause serious or widespread offence in future.”
Demi, 30, came out as non-binary in 2021, however, she still uses she/her pronouns.
The former Disney star expressed a preference for gender-neutral they/them terms, but she is now “feeling more feminine” as she is “such a fluid person.”
Speaking on the ‘Spout’ podcast, Demi – who has both she/her and they/them listed in her Instagram biography – said: “Yeah, so, they/them is… I’ve actually adopted the pronouns of she/her again.
“For me, I’m such a fluid person that… I felt like, especially last year, my energy was balanced in my masculine and feminine energy so that when I was faced with the choice of walking into a bathroom and it said ‘women’ and ‘men,’
“I didn’t feel like there was a bathroom for me because I didn’t feel necessarily like a woman. I didn’t feel like a man. I just felt like a human.
“That’s what they/them is about for me. It’s just about, like, feeling human at your core.
“Recently, I’ve been feeling more feminine, and so I’ve adopted she/ her again.”
The 29-year-old star acknowledged it is easy for people to “mess up” pronouns and it is OK so long as they show “respect”.
She added: “But I think what’s important is, like, nobody’s perfect. Everyone messes up pronouns at some point, and especially when people are learning. It’s just all about respect.”
Demi explained last year using they/them pronouns helped her feel “most authentic”.
She said: “Over the past year-and-a-half, I’ve been doing some healing and self-reflective work. And through this work, I’ve had the revelation that I identify as non-binary. With that said, I’ll be officially changing my pronouns to they/them.
“I feel that this best represents the fluidity I feel in my gender expression and allows me to feel most authentic and true to the person I both know I am, and am still discovering.”

OHMYGOSSIP — CHVRCHES have been hanging out with Hideo Kojima, leading to speculation the band are working on the ‘Death Stranding 2’ soundtrack.
The ‘Get Out’ rockers – comprising Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook and Martin Doherty – provided the title track to 2019’s ‘Death Stranding’, and have previously provided music for games like ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ and ‘Forza’.
And after the franchise’s creator shared selfies from his latest meeting with CHVRCHES on his Instagram, the comments section is full of people predicting they are involved in the second game’s soundtrack.
The sequel is in development for PlayStation 5, while a film adaptation is also in the works.
The band’s multi-instrumentalist, Martin, previously shared their aspiration to score a game.
Speaking last year, he said: “I think that it’s inevitable that we’re going to score a game at some point.
“We went from ‘Mirror’s Edge’ to ‘Death Stranding’ until all of our passion was in the gaming industry.
“We’re not going to stop making records or putting out songs.
“But it’s only a matter of time until we find a gaming project that’s longer-form that we can really sink our teeth into – especially with Iain’s background and film composition.”
He thinks the band have the “pedigree” needed to score a full video game.
He told the ‘Press X to Continue’ podcast: “In order to really score games, you have to understand games, and you won’t meet two more game-obsessed musicians.”
Iain already has a clear idea in his own mind about the sort of game he wants to worth with.
He explained: “I think what I’d be looking for personally is the kind of project where music has more of a pivotal role – where music can be really part of the experience rather than just a backdrop to somebody’s story.
“If you think about games like ‘Tetris Effect’ where you’re actually making, or in some way are influencing, the music with your gameplay – ‘Rez’, of course, is probably the best-known one – I love that.
“The faster and better you play, the more the music develops – I love stuff like that, where it actually becomes part of the experience and part of the emotion of playing the game.”

OHMYGOSSIP — The Weeknd is working on new music.
The ‘Creepin” singer has been keeping busy in the studio ahead of the second leg of his ‘After Hours til Dawn’ global stadium tour, which will see the star perform across Europe and Latin America from June to October.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he said: “I’ve definitely been inspired.
“I’ve been in the studio.”
The Grammy winner – whose real name is Abel Tesfaye – just released ‘Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength’), the soundtrack to ‘Avatar: The Way Of Water’, and he spilled that it took several rewrites to “perfect” the song based on feedback from director James Cameron.
He said: “The best part about writing the song was getting notes from James [Cameron] and making sure that all the lyrics and the tones fit the themes of the film.
“I think I rewrote the song maybe six times to make sure it was perfect.”
The ‘Bleeding Lights’ hitmaker admitted he would be “grateful” if the soundtrack gets nominated for an Academy Award.
The Weeknd has previously had huge success with his film work – winning a Grammy and an Oscar nomination for his 2014 tune ‘Earned It’ from the ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ soundtrack.
‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ features the original film score by the late great James Horner and new work by Simon Franglen, who took over the project after the composer’s death in a plane crash in 2015.

OHMYGOSSIP — Miley Cyrus has stripped off in the shower to tease her new single ‘Flowers’.
The 30-year-old pop star belted out the chorus for her upcoming track – which will be released on Friday (13.01.23) – naked under the water in a video shared with her Instagram followers this week.
In the sultry a cappella video, she sings: “I can buy myself flowers, write my name in the sand/ Talk to myself for hours, yeah, some things you don’t understand.
“But I can take myself dancing, yeah/ I can hold my own hand/ Yeah, I can love me better than you can.”
In the video, she can be seen with her back turned to the camera as she washes her hair and belts out the track.
The song will serve as the lead single from her upcoming eighth studio album ‘Endless Summer Vacation’, which is due to be released on March 10.
The new record will be her first since 2020’s ‘Plastic Hearts’, while there is some speculation ‘Flowers’ is about her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, given that it will be released on his 33rd birthday.
The couple met on the set of their film ‘The Last Song’ and got engaged in May 2012 before splitting the following year.
They got back together in 2016 and married in 2018 but the marriage later crumbled and their divorce was finalised in January 2020.
She was previously rumoured to have written about their doomed relationship in a track called ‘WTF Do I Know’ which featured on ‘Plastic Hearts’.
The song featured the lyrics: “What the f*** do I know? I’m alone / ‘Cause I couldn’t be somebody’s hero / You want an apology? Not from me / Had to leave you in your own misery / So tell me, baby, am I wrong that I moved on and I / And I don’t even miss you? / Thought that it’d be you until I die / But I let go, what the f*** do I know?”

OHMYGOSSIP — Circa Waves have postponed four album release shows after frontman Kieran Shudall was admitted to hospital.
The vocalist and guitarist has been struck down with viral pericarditis, inflammation around the heart, so the band are to re-arrange their planned shows in Kingston, Bournemouth, Brighton and Totnes.
A post on the band’s official Twitter account read: “Hi all, absolutely gutted to have to do this. But if you’re attending the album release shows this week please could you read the statement above. Many thanks, Kieran x (sic)”
A statement from Kieran read: “Hi, Kieran here. Unfortunately, I was recently admitted to hospital with very unpleasant chest pains and was diagnosed with viral pericarditis which is inflammation around the heart. I’m feeling pretty rough but have been given some strong meds (god bless the NHS).
“I currently couldn’t get through a gig even if I wanted to, and believe me I really f****** want to! So with this, I’m sorry to say we are going to rearrange our four album launch show in Kingston, Bournemouth, Brighton and Totnes. We’ll rearrange as soon as ASAP and won’t keep you waiting too long. I’m going to get myself better and be back in action in a weeks time. So sorry to let you down.
“I will see you all soon. Kieran.
“P.S. The nurses and doctors of the NHS are truly remarkable. (sic)”
Circa Waves are to drop their fifth studio album ‘Never Going Under’ – a follow up to 2020’s ‘Sad Happy’ – on January 13th.
