OHMYGOSSIP — Roger Waters has been “secretly” re-recording ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’.
The former Pink Floyd star has revealed plans for a solo version of the band’s iconic 1973 album having been working on the project for months without the knowledge of band members David Gilmour and Nick Mason.
Speaking to the Daily Telegraph newspaper, he said: “I wrote ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’. Let’s get rid of all this ‘we’ c***! Of course we were a band, there were four of us, we all contributed – but it’s my project and I wrote it. So… blah!”
Walters wrote the album’s lyrics and is credited with composing three of the 10 tracks along with co-writing the music for another two.
He has taken the record’s iconic instrumental songs – such as ‘On The Run’ – and has performed an unedited prose poem over the music after being inspired by a bad dream.
He added: “It was a revelation, almost Patmosian whatever that means… a fight with evil, in this case an apparently all-powerful hooded and cloaked figure… it brooked no rebuttal.”
The dream included a bonfire with the voice of Atticus Finch, and he believes it is tied to his big idea about following “the voice of reason”, which he considers to be the message of both the original ‘Dark Side’ and his new version.
Asked why he has remade the record, he said: “Because not enough people recognised what it’s about, what it was I was saying then.”
The decision to re-record the LP won’t help repair his fractured relationship with his former bandmates, particular after Gilmour’s wife Polly Samson recently accused him of being an anti-Semite and Vladimir Putin apologist.
She tweeted: “Sadly @rogerwaters you are antisemitic to your rotten core.
“Also a Putin apologist and a lying, thieving, hypocritical, tax-avoiding, lip-synching, misogynistic, sick-with-envy, megalomaniac.
“Enough of your nonsense.”
In response, a statement on Waters’ Twitter page says he is “aware of the incendiary and wildly inaccurate comments made about him on Twitter by Polly Samson which he refutes entirely”.
His team added: “He is currently taking advice as to his position.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ellie Goulding wants fans to put their phones away at shows, so they can “live in the moment”.
The 36-year-old singer performed at London venue Koko this week, where she told her supporters to stick their gadgets back in their pockets after she had watched some old footage, in which gig-goers were just watching the moment unfold and “feeling free” rather than fiddling with their technology.
She told fans: “Put them in your pockets. I looked back at old festival and gig footage and everyone is just living in the moment and feeling free.”
After spotting one fan on a video call, she asked them to “say goodbye” to the person on the other end of the line.
According to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column, she said: “I appreciate you are on FaceTime but say goodbye, I love you and thank you for watching.”
Earlier this month, Ellie shared her new 80s-style single ‘Like A Saviour’, which is from her upcoming LP ‘Higher Than Heaven’.
She already dropped three other tracks, ‘Easy Lover’, ‘All by Myself’ and ‘Let it Die’, from the record in 2022.
Ellie recently announced she was delaying her upcoming fifth studio album as other opportunities had cropped up, with the record now due for release on March 24.
She told her Instagram followers: “To my incredible fans – I’m sorry to announce that we’re delaying the release of ‘Higher Than Heaven’ to March 24. I know you’ve all been so patient with me but we’ve had some exciting opportunities appear behind the scenes which I cannot wait to share with you in due course. In the meantime as a thank you for your patience , I’m excited to confirm that my new single is called ‘Like a Saviour’. It’s coming soon , we’ve shot the video and it’s one of my favourite videos I’ve ever done. And as a small thank you for bearing with me I wanted to give you a first look at it. OHMYGOSSIP — Jessie Ware has announced her fifth studio album ‘That! Feels Good!’
Days after sharing the new single ‘Pearls’, the 38-year-old singer has revealed the title for the follow-up to 2020’s ‘What’s Your Pleasure?’, which is set to be released on April 28.
Jessie is still very much in her disco-pop era on ‘Pearls’.
Speaking of the track, she said: “Pearls is a record that doesn’t take itself too seriously but demands you to have a dance. It’s inspired by divas like Donna Summer, Evelyn Champagne King, Teena Marie and Chaka Khan and I guess attempts to show – in lightness – all the hats I try to wear (usually at the same time). It’s the second song you will hear from my collaboration with Stuart Price and Coffee Clarence JR – with the wonderful addition of Sarah Hudson – and hopefully gives you a taste of the fun we have working together.”
She said of the LP: “That! Feels Good! Is a record to be enjoyed, to sing and shout the words back at me and to each other. It’s a culmination of hard work and total pleasure appreciating the job I have and the worlds I get to dive into. I have never felt so ready for people to hear something I’ve made.”
The first taste of the forthcoming album was the critically acclaimed ‘Free Yourself’, which received four remixes, including one by Melanie C in November.
In October 2021, Jessie teamed up with Kylie Minogue on a duet of ‘Kiss of Life’ for the Australian pop princess’ deluxe edition of her 2020 ‘DISCO’ album.
Both stars had gone in a disco direction on their records and were part of the revival, which was headed up by Dua Lipa’s ‘Future Nostalgia’.
The pair “hit it off” when they recorded an episode of Jessie’s hit podcast ‘Table Manners’.

The ‘Remind Me’ singer has met the ‘As It Was’ hitmaker briefly but doesn’t think he’d recognise him if he went up to him at this weekend’s BRIT Awards and asked if he’d like to get into the studio with him.
Speaking to Sam Thompson on his Hits UK radio show, Tom said: “If Harry Styles came up to me and went ‘I’d love to do a tune’ I’d be like sweet bruv let’s do it but I wouldn’t go up to Harry and go ‘I’d love to do a tune’ because he’d be like ‘who are you mate? He’d definitely be like that!
“I’ve met Harry before. He’d just bought a new Tesla and he was trying it out and he was like what do you think of the Tesla and I went ‘decent!’. It was only brief, but he was sound and if I walk past him in the BRITs, I’d be like congrats on both the Grammys. He’s killed it man.”
However, one person Tom will be making a beeline for at the star-studded bash in London on Saturday (11.02.23) is US pop megastar Lizzo.
He said: “Lizzo is the person I want to meet – I think me and Lizzo would get on well. I need a bit of that energy man.”
Tom is nominated for Best Alternative/Rock at the ceremony.
Harry, meanwhile, has tied with Wet Leg for the most nominations with four apiece.
The ‘As It Was’ singer has been given the nod in the coveted Artist of the Year category alongside Central Cee, George Ezra, Stormzy and Fred again…, and is also shortlisted for Mastercard Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Pop/R+B Act.

OHMYGOSSIP — Metallica’s latest ‘Helping Hands’ benefit raised $3 million (£2.4 million) for charity.
The heavy metal legends – comprising James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Rob Trujilo, and Kirk Hammett – brought out St. Vincent and had Greta Van Fleet perform at the fundraising event for their All Within My Hands non-profit at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on December 16.
Peter Delgrosso, executive director at All Within My Hands, said: “The funds raised from the ‘Helping Hands Concert and Auction’ will have a lasting impact on All Within My Hands’ ability to grow our Metallica Scholars initiative, combat hunger, and aid in response to natural disasters.
“The Los Angeles event was the largest fundraiser in our history, and we profoundly appreciate the generosity of everyone involved. We could not have achieved these results otherwise.”
Among the organisations to benefit from the money raised will be Baby2Baby, First Star, Feeding America, World Central Kitchen, mikeroweWorks Foundation and The Skatepark Project.
The band’s star-studded 2021 covers album ‘The Metallica Blacklist’ made a whopping $1 million (£824,430).
Metallica and their collaborators – including Miley Cyrus, Phoebe Bridgers and Chris Stapleton – have chosen the non-profits they wish the money to go to.
Miley chose her Happy Hippie Foundation, which she founded in 2014 to offer “homeless youth, LGBTQ youth and other vulnerable populations with consistent” support.
Phoebe opted for RAINN (The Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network), and Chris and his wife Morgane picked their Outlaw State Of Kind fund, which supports “a variety of causes close to their heart.”
Metallica’s All Within My Hands Foundation previously donated $100,000 to those affected by California’s devastating wildfires in 2018.
Meanwhile, the ‘Nothing Else Matters’ rockers are set to release their 11th studio album ’72 Seasons’ on April 14.

The former One Direction star teamed up with the director behind his idol Liam Gallagher’s 2019 documentary film ‘As It Was’, Charlie Lightening, on the emotional feature.
Viewers can expect an “intimate and unvarnished view of Louis’ life and career. Through never-before-seen home movie footage and behind-the-scenes access to Louis’ sell-out 2022 World Tour, All Of Those Voices offers a unique perspective on what it’s like to be a musician in today’s fast-paced world.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Shania Twain is “ready” if Harry Styles wants her to perform with him at this weekend’s BRIT Awards.
The country pop icon duetted with the former One Direction star during his Coachella set last April, and she’s already been using Harry’s song ‘Falling’ in rehearsals for her own tour.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper’s Wired column, she said: “If he asks I’ll be there.
“For my tour the first song that I pulled out was Harry’s ‘Falling’, I just love that. I’ve been playing around with that in my vocal warm-ups, so if he wants to do that then I’m ready.”
Harry, 29, has already performed ‘Falling’ at the 2020 bash, but the ‘You’re Still the One’ hitmaker is also up for doing his big hit ‘As It Was’ on Saturday night (11.02.23).
She said: “(My song) Waking Up Dreaming has that driving groove. That could be a good mash-up with Harry’s.”
Meanwhile, the LGBTQ+ ally is keen to collaborate with Sam Smith.
She said: “I’ve noticed more openness and visibility at my shows.
“I believe really I had a lot of fanbase already building from ‘Man I Feel Like A Woman;, but now it just feels like there is more expression of more freedom and liberation.”
Asked if she’d like to record a song with the ‘I’m Not Here To Make Friends’ singer, she replied: “I love Sam, that would be great.”
Shania, 57, recently said she’d like to get into the studio with Harry.
She said: “[A collaboration] would be my dream, yes. He’s busy making movies right now. I would love that. Put it out there! Make it happen, absolutely. And magic will happen, I’m sure.”

OHMYGOSSIP — The final posthumous Juice WRLD album is “in the works”.
The late rapper’s label boss Lil Bibby – who runs Grade A Productions – has confirmed that one last record is on the way and it’s a “celebration” of his life.
Bibby wrote on Instagram alongside a video of Juice in the studio: “The Last Juice WRLD Album is in the works.
“Let’s celebrate the life of Juice. No more mourning, I want everyone that Juice loved while he was here to help celebrate, especially his fans who he loved!”
“You guys have been the best fans an artist can have (Minus the death threats to Bibby). I’m not gonna complain but i’ll jus say this is not easy. We miss you, We love you 999 til the world ends.”
The record will be the third posthumous LP following 2020’s Legends Never Die’ and 2021’s ‘Fighting Demons’.
Two unreleased tracks, ‘Go Hard 2.0’ and ‘Cigarettes’, were also released that year.
Eminem, BTS star Suga, and Justin Bieber are featured on ‘Fighting Demons’.
Juice – whose real name was Jarad Higgins – passed away in December 2019 at the age of 21 from an accidental overdose.
His mother, Carmela Wallace, subsequently unveiled the Live Free 999 Fund in honour of her son, which aims to help young people suffering from mental health issues.
In a statement about the song ‘Righteous’, which was released the same week the fund was launched, his family wrote on Instagram: “Juice was a prolific artist who dedicated his life to making music.
“Choosing how to share his upcoming music with the world was no easy feat. Honoring the love Juice felt for his fans while shining a light on his talents and his spirit are the most important parts of this process for us.
“Earlier this week, Juice’s mother, Carmela Wallace, announced the establishment of the Live Free 999 Fund which will receive additional support via Grade A and Interscope Records.
“Tonight we will be releasing a new song called “Righteous” which Juice made from his home studio in Los Angeles.
“We hope you enjoy this new music and continue to keep Juice’s spirit alive.

OHMYGOSSIP — Paramore’s upcoming album is their “most political”.
Vocalist Hayley Williams has revealed that social issues crop up on ‘This Is Why’ on songs such as ‘The News’ and ‘You First’.
She explained in an interview with Entertainment Weekly: “It’s our most political album in the sense that, I would expect or I would hope, any single person can find something that they fully understand that they’re directly impacted by when it comes to social politics or otherwise.
“And I don’t think that you should have to be a minority or a marginalised person to have enough empathy to see it and to not only see it, but to try and figure out what the step is that you should take. Doing that type of soul searching and also paying enough attention, it just naturally brings up a lot in a person. I know for us it has over the last four years, and we’ve talked about it ad nauseam to the point of exhaustion where it feels like you almost become apathetic from realising how far down deep the rabbit hole goes.”
The ‘Misery Business’ hitmaker hopes the album – which is released on Friday (10.02.23) – will provide an “escape” amid challenging times.
Hayley added: “The album explores more than just the surface level of that tension.
“I tried lyrically to express what was going on internally for me as a human being living on this Earth in this time. The album reflects something of what all of us are experiencing currently and the anxiety of it. But there’s also the hope that our album and, of course, our shows can be a wonderful release for people, an escape or a shelter from what’s happening. It’s balancing the acknowledgement and acceptance of s*** is not okay and something needs to be done, and then also having a five-minute time out every now and then just to give yourself the opportunity to recharge and protect your energy.”
The ‘Hard Times’ singer insisted that while they can’t “fix everything” wrong in the world, they want to show their “solidarity” with the young people growing up in these times and try and make “some sort of change”.
She added: “It’s hard to care about anything now without caring about everything, and it is very tiring to care about everything.
“But that’s just where we’re at. We all really feel for young people that are coming up and coming of age in this world as we know it, because if I’m overwhelmed as an almost 34-year-old woman, I can’t imagine. We’re just trying to reflect that and also speak to it from a position of we know that we can’t fix everything, but we still want to speak to it. We still want to show solidarity and try to use our platform and our opportunities to make some sort of change, whether it’s a big one or a little change.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Harry Styles’ Grammys performance went in the “wrong direction” due to a technical glitch.
The former One Direction star’s dancers have claimed the turntable stage started spinning the wrong way during the performance of ‘As It Was’ at the ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday (05.02.23), causing the pop star and his backup dancers to perform in “reverse”.
Dancer Brandon Mathi explained on his Instagram Story: “The moment the curtain opened and it was time to perform, our turntable started spinning in reverse, backward.
“There was nothing we could do to stop it. So after a week of rehearsing this piece perfectly going one way, the moment it’s time to perform, it starts going the other way, and in real time we have to troubleshoot and do a complete piece in reverse.
“Talk about professionalism.”
Another dancer, Dexter Da Rocha, said in a since-deleted TikTok that they tried to “get the attention of the technician” at the Crypto.com Arena, but it was difficult due to it being live television.
He said: “So, to switch all those patterns on the spot, having not even walked in that direction… like it sounds it’d be easy to walk, it’s like a treadmill, but I swear to god, since it’s circular, it pulls you in different directions and it’s such a special type of balance.”
Da Rocha heaped praise on Harry for being able to “reverse everything while he was singing and reverse his entire duet.”
Harry won two prizes on the night, including the prestigious Album of the Year accolade for ‘Harry’s House’.
He said during his speech: “I’ve been so inspired by every artist in this category with me.
“But it’s important for us to remember that there’s no such thing as the best in music. This doesn’t happen very often to people like me so this is very nice, thank you.”
He beat off stiff competition from the likes of Adele (’30’), Lizzo (‘Special’), Coldplay (‘Music of the Spheres’) and Beyoncé (‘Renaissance’).

OHMYGOSSIP — Beyonce has added two additional London shows after fans scrambled to get tickets to the ‘Renaissance World Tour’.
Live Nation announced on Tuesday morning (07.02.23) that due to “high fan demand”, the UK leg will now have four stops at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with shows on June 3 and June 4, in addition to May 29 and May 30.
Tickets are on sale now.
The 41-year-old superstar has not hit the road since ‘The Formation World Tour’ in 2016 but will be back on stage with a run of more than 40 shows across the globe to celebrate the success of her comeback album ‘Renaissance’, which soared to the top of the charts when it was released in July 2022.
The mammoth jaunt opens on May 10 at Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden before making stops throughout Europe in the Welsh capital of Cardiff, Scotland in Edinburgh, Sunderland’s Stadium of Light in the North of England and eventually going on to other major cities such as Paris, London, Marseille, and Amsterdam.
The tour will then continue across North America with shows in Toronto, Chicago, East Rutherford, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Houston in July and run through until late September when the ‘Crazy In Love’ songstress will wrap things up in New Orleans.
The tickets being snapped up swiftly come after the ‘Cuff It’ hitmaker made history at the Grammys at the weekend.
The singer set a new record for the most Grammy Award wins with 32 to her name.
Beyonce started the day three victories behind composer Sir Georg Solti – who secured his 31st Grammy in 1997 – but victories in the Best R+B Song, Best Song Written for Visual Media, and Best Traditional R+B Performance categories saw her equal his haul, and she went one better when ‘Renaissance’ won Best Dance/Electronic Recording.
Beyonce – who also has the joint most Grammy nominations alongside her husband Jay-Z with 88 each – said: “I’m trying not to be too emotional. I’m trying to just receive this night. I wanna thank God for protecting me.
“Thank you, God. I’d like to thank my Uncle Jonny, who’s not here but he’s here in spirit. I’d like to thank my parents — my father, my mother, for loving me and pushing me.

OHMYGOSSIP — Morrissey has accused Capitol Records of intentionally “sabotaging” his new album.
The 63-year-old singer “voluntarily” left the label, as well as his management company, in December 2022 after signing a deal with the the previous year and now the former Smiths frontman – who was dropped by BMG in 2020 – has accused them of refusing to release his 14th solo LP ‘Bonfire Of Teenagers’ or return the records to him.
A statement on his website read: “Morrissey is ‘too diverse’ for Universal Music Group. Capitol Records (Los Angeles) will not, after all, release Morrissey’s 2021 album ‘Bonfire Of Teenagers’. At the same time, Capitol Records (Los Angeles) are holding on to the album.
“Although Morrissey officially signed to Capitol Records Los Angeles, there has been no mention of Morrissey on Capitol’s website or on their Artists roster.
“Morrissey has said that although he does not believe that Capitol Records in Los Angeles signed ‘Bonfire of Teenagers’ in order to sabotage it, he is quickly coming around to that belief.”
The post then linked to an article on Medium written by Fiona Dodwell, which argued Morrissey’s current unsigned status “proves a lack of true diversity in music”.
She wrote: “He has been continuously criticised and crucified in the press for being frank and outspoken. Seen in this light, it seems being ‘diverse’ nowadays really means to conform – or face being rejected. You can be diverse, but only this way, not that way,’ the small print seems to say.”
The ‘Big Mouth Strikes Again’ hitmaker had planned to release ‘Bonfire Of Teenagers’ this month but announced in November it had been delayed, with no new release date offered.
A brief statement at the time read: “‘Bonfire of Teenagers’ is no longer scheduled for a February release, as stated by this site.
“Its fate is exclusively in the hands of Capitol Records (Los Angeles).”

The pals are excited to share the first song they ever worked on together, ‘Borderline’, with fans on Friday (10.02.23).
Tove said on Instagram along with a preview clip of the disco-pop tune: “This is the very first song we wrote together and the very start of our friendship so this feels extra special.”
Dua commented on her Instagram Story: “The first day Tove Lo and I got into the studio we wrote this song and I am so excited for it to come out into the world!!!”
The pair announcing their upcoming song came as Sia hinted at collaborating with Tove.
She tweeted her fellow singer: “I’ve always wanted to tell you I wish I’d written ‘Heroes’, I would love to collaborate with you too! Thank you for the love!!”
‘Heroes (We Could Be)’ is Tove’s 2014 collaboration with DJ Alesso.
Tove replied: “My heart jumped reading this! It’s been a dream of mine to write with you for so long, literally in every interview I talk about it, this made my day – let’s do it.”
Tove’s last studio album was 2022’s ‘Dirt Femme’.
Another big star on her collaboration wish-list is Billie Eilish.
The Swedish pop star worked with the ‘Everything I Wanted’ singer’s sibling and collaborator, Finneas, and she’d love for him to organise a studio session with Billie for her.
Speaking in 2020, she said: “I would love to work with Billie, Finneas is incredibly talented, they’re obviously a talent family, and I would absolutely love to.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Mimi Webb plans to make a beeline for Harry Styles at this weekend’s BRIT Awards with Mastercard.
The ‘Red Flags’ singer, 22, is “obsessed” with the former One Direction star, 29, and is eager to get a selfie with him at Saturday night’s (11.02.23) ceremony at London’s The O2 arena – where she’ll find out if she’s won Best New Artist.
She told the Daily Star newspaper’s Wired column: “I will make sure that I get that picture with Harry Styles, I am literally obsessed with him, he is the guy.”
Mimi is taking her party animal parents with her to the star-studded bash.
She said: “My mum and dad will be there 100 per cent. They are my biggest supporters so they have to be there. All the family will be out at the parties, you know we are from Kent so we know how to do it!
“And they do know how to drink, I don’t know how they’ve survived, they love it, they are a force to be reckoned with.”
Host Mo Gilligan will have to watch where he leaves his microphone with Mimi’s mum around.
She laughed: “I always love that when you watch the BRITs at home you get the full interview on the table, I will have my mum sat next to me so she will probably take my mic and talk away.”
The pop star is up against Rina Sawayama, Sam Ryder, Wet Leg and Kojey Radical for Best New Artist.
Harry, meanwhile, has tied with Wet Leg for the most nominations with four apiece.
The ‘As It Was’ singer has been given the nod in the coveted Artist of the Year category alongside Central Cee, George Ezra, Stormzy and Fred again…, and is also shortlisted for Mastercard Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Pop/R+B Act.

OHMYGOSSIP — Steps star Claire Richards is set to release a new solo album.
The 45-year-old pop star has revealed that she is working on a follow-up to her 2019 debut studio album ‘My Wildest Dreams’ after being inspired by her stint on ITV’s ‘The Masked Singer’ as Knitting.
Claire is quoted by The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column as saying: “’The Masked Singer’ definitely made me want to do more solo music.
“I’m working on an album at the moment. So hopefully that will be out at some point this year and I’m doing gigs on my own all summer.
“Steps are having a break at the moment so I am working on music as we speak.”
Steps first formed in 1997 and enjoyed success with hits such as ‘Tragedy’ and ‘Stomp’ before splitting in 2001 but have released three brand-new albums and staged a string of sell-out arena tours since reuniting in 2011.
The band are not done yet and are planning a West End musical based on their songs.
The ‘One For Sorrow’ hitmakers – also comprising Faye Tozer, Lee Latchford-Evans, Lisa Scott-Lee, and Ian ‘H’ Watkins – are planning to take their songs to the stage in the form of a jukebox musical, with Lisa explaining that they have a “fantastic back catalogue” which would lend itself well to the world of theatre.
Lisa said: “It is something that excites us as a band and we think we have a fantastic catalogue that would really lend itself to a West End musical, and so we are in talks. It would be an amazing thing do because we have all these wonderful highlights, from winning a BRIT Award to selling out all these arenas and number one albums.”
However, the musical will not be based on the band members themselves.
She explained: “The majority of us love theatre and love that side of things, but I wouldn’t suggest we would all be playing ourselves. It would be great to be behind the scenes, involved in the writing, and involved in the creatives. When we tour, that is what we do. People probably think we just turn up on stage and perform the show, but we are producing the show along with our creative director and our management team.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lance Bass has hinted at an *NSYNC reunion.
The pop quintet – also comprising Justin Timberlake, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and JC Chasez – went their separate ways in 2002 after forming in 1995.
The ‘Bye Bye Bye’ group previously briefly reunited in 2013 when Justin accepted the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).
And in 2019, Lance, Joey, JC, and Chris reunited onstage during Ariana Grande’s Coachella performance.
Now, Lance has teased that they “owe it to the fans” to give them something special “at some point”, but he has no idea when that would be.
Speaking to Billboard News, Lance said: “Never say never.
“I mean, who knew we were going to be doing Coachella a few years ago? I think it just has to be the right time; we all have to be inspired in the moment. But I do think the world needs something again from *NSYNC. I always feel bad that there was no ending, because we didn’t have a final show, we didn’t have a final tour, because we didn’t know it was the final days. I think we owe it to the fans to give them something at some point. I just hope it’s before I’m 80 years old.”
In 2020, Lance revealed he had been enjoying weekly virtual “happy hours” with his former bandmates while quarantining amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Lance believes interviewing each of his former bandmates separately on his podcast helped to “bond” them even closer.
Speaking on ‘Watch What Happens Live’, he said: “The interviews really kind of even bonded us even more, especially during this quarantine.
“Your relationships, they get tighter, so now we have happy hours every week together on Zoom which is fun.”
Asked by host Andy Cohen if Justin was involved in the virtual catch-ups, Lance confirmed he was, prompting the presenter to exclaim: “You did that, Lance Bass!”
His guest replied: “Bringing people together Andy, bringing people together.”
Justin had appeared on the podcast and Lance admitted he “loved” having the ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling’ singer as a guest.
He said: “I loved it, I thought it was fun. I heard a lot of things for the first time coming out of Justin’s mouth about *NSYNC. He doesn’t really talk about *NSYNC too much. It was great to hear his perspective.”
And he claimed Justin even told him he was open to the idea of getting back together with the ‘Pop’ hitmakers.
Lance said: “That he actually would be interested in talking about a reunion.”
