OHMYGOSSIP — Madison Beer has shared her latest song, ‘Home To Another One’.
In the accompanying music video, which Madison co-directed, she “discovers her otherworldly lover has been betraying her their entire relationship.”
The ethereal tune is taken from the pop star’s eagerly-awaited second studio album, ‘Silence Between Songs’, which is a tip-of-the-hat to Lana Del Rey, The Beatles, The Beach Boys and Tame Impala.
Madison said of the album: “I’ve learned so much about myself and my artistry on the journey of the last two years since my last record. This album tells the story of so many different pieces of me that I discovered in the moments of pause where I settled down from the noise and learned the most about myself. I hope my fans are as inspired listening to it as I was when creating it.”
Madison will release ‘Silence Between Songs’ – the follow-up to 2021’s ‘Life Support’ – on September 15.
Meanwhile, the ‘Good in Goodbye’ singer – who gained worldwide fame when her track ‘Selfish’ went viral on TikTok – has previously dated the likes of model Brooklyn Beckham and singer Jack Gilinsky and explained that while it is “quite hard” to have had such public relationships, she is able to “cope” with the “crazy journey” through her songwriting.
She told the Daily Star’s Wired column: “It is really hard for someone like me who has quite public ex-boyfriends. People like to speculate, and they make TikToks, and then rumours start, so it can be difficult to combat those things. It’s been a journey, not only getting to a place where you can feel those emotions but then also getting it out there and having to read people’s opinions about it – and letting people have opinions on it. It’s a crazy thing, a journey for sure, and I wouldn’t recommend it for everyone. But [song writing] has been such a nice way for me to cope specifically.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Smith has released a cover of Christina Aguilera’s ‘Beautiful’.
The 31-year-old pop star has put their spin on the noughties power ballad to mark the start of Pride Month for Amazon Originals, and shared how the anthem of “true acceptance” inspired them to be themselves.
Sam – who is non-binary and uses the pronouns they/them – said in a statement: “I’ve been such a massive fan of Christina’s for as long as I can remember and will never forget the first time I heard ‘Beautiful’ and how personally it spoke to me.
“The song is a true acceptance anthem and continues to inspire me with its important message to never stop celebrating who you are. I’m honored to have the opportunity to offer my rendition.”
Next week, Sam is releasing a collaboration with Madonna called ‘Vulgar’.
The collaboration comes after The Queen of Pop, 64, presented Sam and Kim Petras, 30, with their award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance prize for ‘Unholy’ at the Grammys earlier this year, where she celebrated the duo’s “fearlessness”.
She said: “Are you ready for a little controversy? Come on people, let’s make some noise. Y’all are going to sleep over here.

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher thinks AI versions of Oasis songs are “pointless”.
The ‘Easy Now’ hitmaker confirmed he has heard ‘The Lost Tapes Volume I’ – an eight-track record featuring songs by the group Breezer using computer-generated vocals to sound like his brother and former bandmate Liam Gallagher – but he wasn’t a fan because he thinks there is “no soul” to such projects.
He told The Sun newspaper: “Someone sent me those Oasis AI songs — well, it was called AI-sis. And I thought, ‘What’s the point of this?’ It’s as pointless as the people who make it.
“Then people are showing me Ringo Starr singing ‘She’s Electric’ and Freddie Mercury singing ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’. If that’s how you spend your lunch break, f****** good on you.
“But there’s no soul to it, no feeling.”
The 56-year-old guitarist is also concerned that record companies will eventually replace songwriting teams with AI bots to write lyrics for their pop acts.
He added: “I’ve seen that thing where lyrics are written by AI. And they are f****** worse than mine. But I have no doubt that in the next ten years, record companies won’t employ songwriters — they’ll employ machines to write for the next f*** wit popstar that comes along.
“I guarantee you that record labels are working on the technology. They’ll be churning that f******s**t out and all music will end up the same. You won’t know who’s singing.”
While Noel isn’t a fan of Breezer’s so-called ‘AI-sis’ project, his brother Liam recently insisted he thinks their songs are “better” than most modern music.
Asked if he’d heard the album, the ‘Some Might Say’ hitmaker, 50, replied on Twitter: “Not the album heard a tune it’s better than all the other snizzle out there. (sic)”
Responding to another fan, he said: “Mad as f*** I sound mega.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Billy Joel will end his Madison Square Garden residency in July 2024.
The 74-year-old singer has performed at the New York venue almost monthly since January 2014 but at a press conference on Thursday (01.06.23), he announced the final 10 shows of his run, with the final date marking his 104th show as part of the concert series and his 150th performance at the iconic stadium, which he first played at in 1978.
Billy told reporters he was “kind of flabbergasted” that his residency “lasted as long as it did”.
He added: “My team tells me that we could continue to sell tickets, but 10 years, 150 shows… all right already!”
The ‘Piano Man’ singer residency’s only major disruption came during the COVID-19 pandemic, when he was forced to take an 18-month break from the stage, and each one of his shows has sold out.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams said at the press conference: “There’s only one thing that’s more New York than Billy Joel – and that’s a Billy Joel concert at MSG.”
Madison Square Garden hailed Billy’s “extraordinary talent” and insisted he will “always” have a home at the venue.
Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of MSG Entertainment James Dolan said in a statement: “Billy Joel’s franchise run has made history – not only for Madison Square Garden, but also for the music industry overall.
“150 sold out lifetime shows is a remarkable achievement, and speaks to Billy’s extraordinary talent, beloved catalog, and dedicated fanbase. Billy always has a home here at MSG even though the residency is coming to an end with his 150th lifetime performance.”
The ‘Uptown Girl’ singer previously expressed his amazement that people continue to come and see him perform, despite the fact he hasn’t released an album of original material for more than 30 years.
He told Rolling Stone magazine in 2019: “I’ve gone onstage and said, ‘I don’t have anything new for you, so we’re just going to play the old s***’. And the audience goes, ‘Yeah!’
“I’ll be sitting in the stadium looking out at 30,000, 40,000, 50,000 people, thinking, ‘What the hell are they all doing here? Why now?’ I guess, in a way, I’m an anachronism. There aren’t that many of me left. There’s a rarity to it, which gives it value.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Lambert and Sigala have released the official single of Pride In London 2023, ‘You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)’.
The 41-year-old pop star – who is also known for performing with Queen – and the DJ-and-producer have put their spin on Sylvester’s 1978 disco-pop classic about freedom.
It has also been announced that Adam will headline Pride In London 2023 on Saturday, July 1, where he will perform the empowering anthem.
Pride in London’s CEO, Christopher Joell-Deshields, said: “We’re thrilled talented pop vocalist and Queen collaborator, Adam Lambert, has chosen to launch his latest single, ‘You Make Me Feel Mighty Real’, as the official song for this year’s Pride in London. Adam’s songs are all about inspiring others to be who they truly are, which couldn’t be more fitting following the launch of our campaign, ‘Never March Alone’, which shows allyship for the trans community. We cannot wait to see Adam and other talented artists from the LGBT+ community come together on 1st July live across our stages.”
Meanwhile, Adam recently insisted he doesn’t believe his journey with Queen is over yet.
The ‘American Idol’ alum thought his first-ever performance with guitarist Sir Brian May, 75, and drummer Roger Taylor, 73, on the talent show in 2009 was a “one-off”, and he never imagined they’d continue performing together across the globe for more than a decade.
Asked if he thinks there will be another UK tour, Adam told Metro.co.uk this week: “Not that I’m necessarily aware of, but I know that it’s not out of the question. I mean, we just kind of keep going, don’t we?
“Last summer was such a treat, we had a blast. It was a really beautiful tour, and we were very excited to get back on the road in front of the fans. And 10 sold-out shows at the O2 was a big milestone for me, personally. I’m so grateful for the journey that we’ve been on together.
“I know when I first performed with them, I thought it was probably going to be a one-off and then one thing led to another and it just snowballed and it became this beautiful relationship that we’ve continued over the past 10 or so years. And I’m delighted, I’m so excited to get back on the road in the States.”
The ‘Rhapsody Tour’ of North America kicks off in October.
On their future, he added: “And I don’t think that’s the end. I think there’s probably more where that came from.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Mariah Carey is featured on a new remix of her hit ‘Circles’ – by a former builder who recently quit his job to do music full-time.
Australia’s DJ E-Lie only started producing music three years ago, but the Grammy-winning megastar clearly had a lot of faith in his work, as their new version of the track from her 2005 LP ‘The Emancipation of Mimi’ is out today.
He told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “I came across this sample of Mariah Carey when I first started ­producing about three years ago. Then I got an email from Ministry Of Sound saying they wanted to work on the track.
“I ended up getting a contract with them and then Mariah heard it and loved it. She wanted to be a featured artist on it, which is massive.”
On leaving his day job, he added: “I had a full-time job, but I’ve stopped it this year to focus a bit more on music.
“I was in the building and ­construction industry.
“When I made the track ­Circles, I wasn’t doing music full time.
“I was building houses and apartments, which is a pretty hands-on job.”
Meanwhile, Mariah’s 1994 festive classic ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ recently became one of the UK’s most-streamed songs, having amassed more than 370 million streams.

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher has apologised on behalf of his family for estranged sibling Noel Gallagher’s “damn rite blasphemous” cover of fellow Manchester legends Joy Division’s classic ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’.
The elder Gallagher – who has been at loggerheads with his former Oasis bandmate since a backstage bust-up at their final concert in Pairs in 2009 – brother performed the 80s hit with the BBC Concert Orchestra for the BBC Radio 2 Piano Room series.
However, unsurprisingly, it didn’t go down to well with Liam.
Liam, 50, tweeted: “I must once again apologise on behalf of my family for [Noel’s] p*** poor and damn rite blasphemous version of joy division’s love will tear us apart tut f****** tut SORRY. (sic)”
Noel, 56, had admitted he didn’t know if he could pull off the iconic tune at first.
He shared: “I would play this song, this version of it, at home down the years.
“I was like, ‘How can I get away with that?’ Because it’s such an iconic [song] and, being from Manchester … well, this is going to be tricky.
“But now I’ve got my own studio, I went and did a little demo of it and I was like ‘You know what? I think I might be able to pull this off.’ So we’re going to do ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’ by the Divs.”
Liam would seemingly much rather listen to the AI version of Oasis.
The Britpop group’s former frontman recently heaped praise on Breezer’s so-called ‘AI-sis’ project, insisting he thinks their songs are “better” than most modern music.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Rod Stewart has called off the sale of his music catalogue to Hipgnosis Songs Fund.
The 78-year-old music legend had reportedly spent two years negotiating a deal with the company’s founder and CEO Merck Mercuriadis.
However, the ‘Handbags and Gladrags’ hitmaker decided that Hipgnosis – which has already bought the rights to music by Bruce Springsteen, Justin Bieber and Lindsey Buckingham – was not the right owner for his “life’s work”.
In a statement, he said: “This catalogue represents my life’s work.
“And it became abundantly clear after much time and due diligence that this was not the right company to manage my song catalogue, career or legacy.”
No further details about the proposed deal were made public, such as the price and how much of his catalogue he was planning to part with.
Rod is one of the best-selling stars on the planet, having sold more 250 million records worldwide.
His hits from his six-decade-spanning career include ‘Maggie May’, ‘Tonight’s the Night (Gonna Be Alright)’, ‘All for Love’, ‘Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?’, ‘Forever Young’, and ‘One More Time’.
Whilst there was no sale this time, Rod will soon have a new source of income, selling his own blended Scotch Whisky brand.
The rock star has created a line of the distilled spirit in partnership with the newly-launched brand Wolfie’s which he believes depicts the “carefree behaviour” of his earlier life, and he wants to “let the good times roll” with the tipple.

OHMYGOSSIP — Paris Hilton has shared the Kim Petras-featuring remake of her iconic hit ‘Stars Are Blind’.
The socialite-and-DJ has teamed up with her pop star pal Kim on ‘Stars Are Blind (Paris’ Version)’, a whole 17 years after the original was released.
Kim sings: “Baby baby, I can be your confidante/Come on over if you’re down or not.”
Another of her lines goes: “Why shouldn’t we be with the ones we really love? Now tell me who else you’ve been dreaming of.”
The 42-year-old star first released the reggae-infused track as the lead song from her 2006 album ‘Paris’, and in December, she re-released on Amazon Music with new vocals and production and titled it ‘Stars Are Blind (Paris’ Version)’.
The former ‘Simple Life’ star recently teased that she and Kim had recorded songs for each other’s albums and also have some special performances lined up.
Speaking on Magic Radio Breakfast recently, Paris – who starred in Kim’s ‘Malibu’ music video – spilled: “We did a song on her new album and then we are recording for my new album as well.
“Then we are planning some exciting things during Pride, some performances and I’m so proud of her. Seeing her at the Grammys was just amazing, I’ve been friends with her ever since her first single came out, being in her first music video and just to see how much she has grown. She is a pop icon.”

OHMYGOSSIP — The Weeknd, Madonna and Playboi Carti have released ‘Popular’ from ‘The Idol’.
Megastar The Weeknd – real name Abel Tesfaye – sings from the perspective of his cult leader character Tedros on the song from the soundtrack to the upcoming HBO drama series, which premieres on June 4.
Speaking about Lily-Rose Depp’s pop star character Jocelyn, he sings: “Begging on her knees to be popular.
“That’s her dream to be popular.
“Kill anyone to be popular.
“Sell her soul to be popular…”
The Weeknd has teased that fans will hear more of The Queen of Pop on the show.
He told Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 of the song: “I’m proud of it. I’m definitely proud of it. Me and Carti had this … I mean, we’ve jammed out before. We’ve had a different version of this song prior. So I’ve had these vocals for a while and I’ve kind of just worked around it, and then kind of kept it in the tuck. But now it felt like it was time. It was time. And it felt right and it felt cohesive with this album that I’m working on right now. Or that I just actually finished. The Idol soundtrack, yeah. And so I’ve been producing the song for a while. And then Madonna, Madge. She’s the ultimate co-sign for this song, for this album, and for this TV show. And you’ll hear more of her in the show as well too. She is the ultimate pop star.”
The plot for the X-rated series reads: “After a nervous breakdown derailed Jocelyn’s last tour, she’s determined to claim her rightful status as the greatest and sexiest pop star in America. Her passions are reignited by Tedros, a nightclub impresario with a sordid past. Will her romantic awakening take her to glorious new heights or the deepest, darkest, depths of her soul?”
The track is the second single to be taken from the LP ‘The Idol Vol. 1’, following ‘Double Fantasy’ featuring Future.
Vol 1. is released in full on June 30.
BLACKPINK star Jennie recently teased a collaboration with her ‘The Idol’ co-star The Weeknd.
The 27-year-old K-Pop star plays Angel in the series – which is co-created by The Weeknd, ‘Euphoria’ scribe Sam Levinson and Reza Fahim – and she played a snippet of the unreleased track, seemingly from ‘The Idol’, with vocals that sound like her and the ‘Blinding Lights’ hitmaker.
The preview was played during a DJ set at the launch of Jennie’s capsule collection for Calvin Klein in South Korea earlier this month and also appeared on TikTok.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Elton John is “a little intimidated” by Glastonbury.
The 76-year-old music legend is set to headline the world-famous music festival for the first time in his six-decade-spanning career on June 25, and he has no idea what to expect when he steps out on the Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm in Somerset.
Speaking to BBC London, he confessed: “I’m a little, not frightened, but I’m a little intimidated by it because I haven’t played there, I haven’t been there.”
Fans can expect mystery guests during the headline set.
The ‘Tiny Dancer’ singer, 76, told BBC Radio 2: “It’s the first time I’ve been asked… it’s come at the right time, I’m a great believer in serendipity and fate and it’s the most wonderful way to sign off in England.
“I’ve got guests and I can’t tell you who they are.”
Elton has collaborated with a huge range of acts, and his most recent album, 2021’s ‘The Lockdown Sessions’, is packed with appearances from A-list music stars including Dua Lipa, 27, Miley Cyrus, 30, and 75-year-old Stevie Nicks.
Elton – who has children Zachary, 11, and Elijah, nine, with his husband and manager David Furnish, 60 – added about his ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road’ tour, which launched in 2018 and experienced numerous delays due to the pandemic: “It’s been everything I’d hoped it would be and more… it’s been better than I could ever have imagined it to be… I float off the stage into oblivion.
“I’m happy, I’m happy in my personal life and my professional life, everything in my life is so wonderful.
“So I think that’s why the performances really satisfy me.”
When asked what his ideal life will be after he finishes touring in July, Elton replied:
“Everything is up in the air… boys go back to school… piano won’t go away forever… it’ll be very sporadic, I really don’t want to tour again… I’m not going back to Vegas.”

The 28-year-old rapper is still “healing” from the traumatic ordeal of being shot at by Tory Lanez and the subsequent lengthy trial, and is focusing on her mental and physical well-being and won’t consider putting new songs out until she’s in the right mindset.
Rapper Tory Lanez, 30, was convicted in December of three felony counts including assault with a semiautomatic firearm, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle and discharging a firearm with gross negligence, in connection with the 2020 incident involving the ‘WAP’ hitmaker.
She told InStyle: “Fans can expect new music when I’m in a better place.
“Right now, I’m focused on healing.”
Megan said that for now she is “spending time with her dogs, working out, bingeing TV shows, and simply finding new ways to protect her peace.”
She added: “The music and entertainment industry can be a grind, so it’s important to take time off and avoid burning out.
“Life is all about balance.”
Megan’s last studio album was 2022’s ‘Traumazine’.
The ‘Sweetest Pie’ rapper recently insisted she is “more than just [her] trauma”.
She told ELLE magazine: “I understand the public intrigue, but for the sake of my mental health, I don’t plan to keep reliving the most traumatic experience of my life over and over again. I’m choosing to change the narrative because I’m more than just my trauma.
“I was once told that you can’t have crucifixion without resurrection, and that statement resonated so deeply with me. This is a rebirth of a happier and healthier me.”
Megan’s outlook has been transformed by the shooting and conviction of Tory.
The Grammy-winning star shared: “I’m a survivor and I have – and will continue – to embrace the highs and lows of my journey. I’m excited to get back into music, because I have been so transformed. I’m playing around with new songs and new sounds that I can’t wait for everyone to hear.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Rick Astley has joked that he’s on so early at Glastonbury that he might as well perform in his pyjamas.
The ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ hitmaker appeared on ‘BBC Breakfast’ after it was announced that he’s a last-minute addition to the line-up on Saturday, June 24, with Rick and his band playing the Pyramid Stage at 12.00pm.
And after Rick was interviewed in his pyjamas on the early morning news show, he said his nightwear might make another appearance at Worthy Farm.
The 80s pop legend told the newsreaders: “I’ll be very early on the Saturday, a bit too early, but there we go. I might do it in my pyjamas.”
Sir Elton John, Arctic Monkeys and Guns N’ Roses are the headliners.
Cat Stevens/Yusef is playing the Sunday afternoon Legends slot.
Skepta, The Chemical Brothers, Lana Del Rey, Lil Nas X, Lizzo, and Lewis Capaldi are also among the acts performing between June 21 and June 25.

The Queen of Pop is releasing a collaboration with Sam Smith called ‘Vulgar’ on June 9, while she is also on the track ‘Popular’ from vol.1 of The Weeknd’s ‘The Idol’ soundtrack.
Sam, 31, posted a 15-second clip of the tune with “SXM, ‘Vulgar’, June 9th, Sam and Madonna” flashing up on the screen.
And Madonna, 60, teased alongside what appears to be the single art of the pair in corsets: “VULGAR…………. new song out Friday, June 9th @samsmith.”
‘The Idol’ song, which is out on Friday (02.06.23), also features rapper Playboi Carter.
The Weeknd, 33, has already released ‘Double Fantasy’ from the soundtrack featuring Future.
Meanwhile, Madonna’s 40th anniversary ‘Celebration Tour’ is due to kick off on July 15 in Vancouver, Canada.
The ‘Material Girl’ hitmaker is putting “everything” she’s got into the show.
A source said recently: “Madonna is putting absolutely everything into this show and is laser-focused on making it a spectacle which the fans will adore. Every single detail is being thought over at length. It will be well worth the wait.”
The ‘Vogue’ hitmaker also recently announced a new Nashville show to benefit trans rights organisations.
Madonna will be donating a portion of proceeds from her upcoming concert at the Bridgestone Arena on December 22.
She said in a statement on Instagram: “The oppression of the LGBTQ+ is not only unacceptable and inhumane; it’s creating an unsafe environment; making America a dangerous place for our most vulnerable citizens, especially trans women of color.
“Also, these so-called laws to protect. our children are unfounded and pathetic. Anyone with half a brain knows not to f*** with a drag queen.
“Bob and I will see you from the stage in Nashville where we will celebrate the beauty that is the Queer community!”
Madonna will be joined by ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ winner Bob the Drag Queen for the stop on her mammoth jaunt as a protest to Tennessee’s anti-LGBTQIA+ bills which saw the state become the first in the US to effectively ban public drag shows, and drag shows for children.
The bill means “male or female impersonators” are now classed as adult cabaret performers.
Those violating the new law may face a misdemeanour criminal charge, while repeat offenders could be charged with a felony.
Under the law, there is also a ban on gender-affirming healthcare including puberty blockers and hormone therapies for transgender minors.

OHMYGOSSIP — The Scissor Sisters were “like a nunnery” in their heyday, according to frontman Jake Shears.
The 44-year-old star was part of the 2000s rock band before breaking out as a solo artist in his own right and admitted that the typical rockstar lifestyle was never part of their schedule because they were working “so hard” and their success never would have happened had they been partying.
Speaking on the ‘Table Manners’ podcast, he told hosts Jessie and Lennie Ware: “We were like a nunnery! When you’re working so hard in this business,when you’re in the thick of it, you really have to be on top of it and be focused. Scissor Sisters would never have happened, if that’s what I was doing. After our last album, my LA years, when I went to LA, that was my time of going off the rails.”
Meanwhile, Jake recently revealed he hopes the Scissor Sisters will reunite on stage in the future, with their most recent release being ‘Swerlk’ on a charity record with MNDR in 2017.
Asked about the idea of a reunion, he told the Metro newspaper’s 60 Seconds column: “Oh God, I hope so.
“It would be a blast. Scissors is something so important to me. I think it would be really special, and I would love to.”
“Now focusing on his own solo career with new album ‘Last Man Dancing’ set to be released on June 2, Jake – whose upcoming UK tour runs from May 30 to June 23 – admitted things are “lonelier” without the band around him.
He added: “I miss the group camaraderie. It’s harder to carry a show on my own.
“I get the last word on stuff now, and I like that. But it’s also a little lonelier when you’re not in a group.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Mel B says the Spice Girls wouldn’t have existed without the LGBTQI community.
The 90s girl group – also comprising Geri Horner, Melanie C, Emma Bunton, and Victoria Beckham – owe the queer and drag community for embracing them from the start.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk, Mel said: “I think it’s been everything and they’ve been there for us from the very, very start.
“Without them, it wouldn’t have really happened, I don’t think.”
She continued: “I definitely think we’ve been influenced. Yeah, I mean, our hair and makeup, our platforms, our girl power, our kind of influence on ourselves and other women. Yeah, definitely.
“And you can’t get better than the gays and the Drag scene embracing you, and we’ve been embraced by both since the start of our career.”
Mel is a judge on the second season of the drag singing show ‘Queen of the Universe’ with Michelle Visage, Trixie Mattel and Vanessa Williams.
Mel B’s comments come after Melanie C aka Sporty Spice previously admitted that the group made a conscious decision to make their messaging more about “inclusivity”.
The ‘Wannabe’ hitmaker told Attitude magazine last year: “All the Spice Girls have always been aware of the support from the LGBTQI community.
“We’ve never taken it for granted.
“Back then, it was very apparent we had many young gay male fans, including some who hadn’t come out or fully understood who they were. We really quickly wanted to change tack, from screaming about Girl Power, to being about inclusivity.”
