Paramore’s Hayley Williams breaks up fight mid-concert

OHMYGOSSIP — Paramore’s Hayley Williams dealt with a pair of fans fighting mid-song at Madison Square Garden this week.
The 34-year-old singer paused their performance of ‘Figure 8’ at the famous New York City venue on Tuesday night (30.05.23) to try and stop the gig-goers and admitted she was not afraid to “embarrass” them.
She said: “What is happening?
“Yes, I will embarrass both of you. Both of you need to find somewhere else to take care of that s*** because that’s not happening here tonight, this is our house.”
She asked them: “How are you gonna disrupt one of our favourite songs to play at our show?”
Hayley then asked the crowd: “By the way, what you were doing in that pre-chorus when you were screaming it like you’re at a hardcore show?”
The band proceeded with the concert after the audience let them know the pair had been sorted out.
The brawl comes after a man “physically and verbally assaulted multiple women” at their Salt Lake City concert last year.
Hayley and co were unaware of the alleged incidents while on stage at The Great Saltair in Utah on October 4, as it all happened out of their view.
The abusive man was restrained and escorted out of the venue by security.
And the rock band later apologised to those who were abused or witnessed the acts of “violence, homophobia and bigotry”.
Paramore said that had they seen the assaults, the ‘Misery Business’ hitmakers would have stopped the show immediately.
They wrote: “At last night’s show in SLC, we were made aware of an incident that happened in the crowd while we were on stage.
“A man physically and verbally assaulted multiple women, including an engaged couple at our show. Our security team and venue staff were made aware and were able to restrain and remove him.
“We did not realise this was happening, as the incident took place out of view from stage. Had we seen any of this happening, we would have stopped the show until the situation was under control.
“PARAMORE DOES NOT CONDONE violence, homophobia, or bigotry of any kind. It is supremely unwelcome in our community and has no place at our shows. To the fans who were hurt by or who witnessed what happened last night, we are so sorry. We hope that you know we will always do anything we can to protect you and make you feel celebrated.

Una Healy takes swipe at ex David Haye on new song after walking away from throuple

OHMYGOSSIP — Una Healy sings about leaving a toxic relationship on her new single, ‘Walk Away’, after ending her three-way relationship.
The former Saturdays star has shared her new empowering single about being free of a “relationship or situation” that is no longer good for you.
Speaking of the new single, Una said in a statement: “Walk Away is about having the courage to walk away from any relationship or situation that no longer serves you, to do it in style and to find the courage to move on to something better. Throughout the song, there is a play on words that keep it humorous and upbeat.”
In an apparent dig at her ex, she sings: “You had my heart in a noose, while you were filling your boots.
“Had a soul, like worn-out leather.
“Now you can step aside (Step aside).
“And I will walk on by, by.”
Una recently admitted she felt “hoodwinked” into her so-called throuple with David Haye.
The 41-year-old pop star opened up about her three-way relationship with the former boxing champion and his on/off girlfriend Sian Osborne, revealing that she felt a little embarrassed by their unusual relationship.
Recalling the early days of their romance, Una told the ‘My Therapist Ghosted Me’ podcast: “It was casual, it wasn’t serious. I was happy enough with it. It was in a romantic capacity.
“He was very honest that I wasn’t the only woman he was seeing, I was very aware he was seeing other people. I knew he was being honest and it’s not like I was being cheated on.
“I knew he wasn’t husband material, just a bit of fun and I was enjoying it.”
However, their relationship subsequently took an unusual turn, when David asked her if Sian could join them on a getaway.
The songwriter shared: “I remember on the flight over he was in the middle seat and he had one hand on her leg and one hand on mine.
“I said to him, ‘what am I doing?’ and he goes ‘you’re having a midlife crisis but don’t worry so am I!’ and I thought ‘[Sian’s] not because she’s ten years younger!'”
Una claims that David, 42, enjoyed the attention that subsequently came their way.
But the singer – who has two kids, Aoife and Tadgh, with her ex-husband Ben Foden – hated every minute of it.
Una – who split from David earlier this year – said: “I think he was very happy about it but I was in bits about it.
“He didn’t get it; he was always trying to coach me on how not to get upset but I’ve never had to hit the block button so much. I had a list of words blocked on Instagram.
“I don’t want to be in a three-way relationship!”

Noel Gallagher admits arena shows need a ‘larger-than-life’ singer like his brother Liam

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher has admitted he’s “not really comfortable” playing massive arena shows because he’s not a “larger-than-life” singer like his former Oasis bandmate and arch-rival sibling Liam Gallagher.
The 56-year-old rocker – who releases his new album ‘Council Skies’ on Friday (02.06.23) and has a number of concerts this year indoors and outdoors – prefers more intimate concerts for his solo shows with his High Flying Birds.
Speaking on Radio X, he said: “I think I prefer doing my own shows but festivals are great, because I don’t tend to headline them, Glastonbury’s for instance was great because I got to go on before McCartney… but I don’t really have much of a preference. If I could go on tour and just do theatres all over the world that would be great, in England I do big arenas which I’m still not really comfortable about…”
Asked why that is, he replied: “I think you need a singer for that kind of thing who’s a bit larger than life, I’m a bit like, ‘Look I’ve got these songs and that’s it.’ I don’t tend to do the audience participation things. Whereas when you do theatres, you’re a bit closer to the crowd, and if they start heckling you and asking ridiculous questions you can just go, ‘What was that?'”
The ‘Pretty Boy’ singer also quipped that Oasis’ lesser-known tunes don’t go down as well with US audiences as the hits.
He laughed: “The Oasis ones [gigs], I tend to do most of the B-sides and in America, you might as well be talking Chinese and they’re going, ‘Hey man, what is this?’… but in England it’s great, you’ve just got to balance it out so it’s good for you and it’s good for them.”
Noel is continually asked if he’ll put his differences aside with Liam, 50, who he hasn’t spoken to since the Britpop group disbanded in 2009 following a backstage bust-up between the pair, but unfortunately, he will keep saying the same answer.
Asked if he’s tired of hearing the same question, he said: “It used to really annoy me when I first started and now it’s just whatever… I’m fascinated with people asking the same question and getting the same answer, but the thing that is ongoing and will never get old is how the music just keeps appealing to another generation of fans.”
Liam has said he is “ready to go” whenever Noel is, however, the latter has told his sibling to call him or his manager about it, but he’s yet to pick up the phone, prompting his older brother to call him out for being “disingenuous” to their loyal fans.

Sam Smith teases ‘special’ collaboration with Brazilian pop star Anitta

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Smith has teased their “special” collaboration with Brazilian pop star Anitta.
The pair are poised to release a yet-to-be-announced song together, and Sam, 31, is full of praise of the 30-year-old Latin star.
Sam told Harper’s BAZAAR: “Anitta’s energy is amazing.
“We connected immediately, and it just made the collaboration feel so special that there was genuine friendship there.”
The ‘Unholy’ hitmaker added how Anitta had a “clear vision” for their duet.
The singer-and-actress – whose real name is Larissa de Macedo Machado – recently left major label Warner Music after 11 years after complaining that they were not properly promoting her single ‘Envolver’.
In a joint statement, the label and artist said in April: “After eleven years of successful partnership, we’ve agreed to go our separate ways.
“Anitta would like to thank the Warner Music team for all their support. And the Warner team wishes Anitta all the best in future.”
And the star says now is the perfect time to release her follow-up 2022’s ‘Versions of Me’.
She told the publication: “I got big enough for people to pay attention to what I’m doing, so it’s a good moment for me to drop this album [that’s] finally something I believe and something I think, ‘Okay, that is me.’ Now that I got this attention, I can really be myself.”
Anitta had recently fumed on Instagram: “I asked the label to just do the simple job they were supposed to: promote my music.”
Anitta admitted she would have sold her organs to get out of the contract.
Responding to a fan on Twitter, she divulged in Portuguese and English: “My love, if I had a fine to pay, I would have already auctioned off my organs, no matter how expensive it was to get out. But unfortunately, it doesn’t [work that way].
“When you’re young and still don’t know much, you have to pay close attention to the things you sign… if not you can spend a lifetime paying for the mistake.”
Anitta also hit out at Warner for using her photo and song to mark International Women’s Day in March.
She bemoaned: “Communication at Warner is so good that [they’re] posting me on a Happy women’s day looping post, even tho I had to go public to ask for the ‘woman respect’ that this date represents. (sic)”
And she claimed they told her ‘Envolver’ wouldn’t be a hit without getting a major artist featured on it.
She added how the label’s post used the song “they said would never break without a feat cuz I wasn’t strong enough for that. (sic)”
Variety reported that the label had hoped ‘Envolver’ – which went viral on TikTok last year – would have the same success in the US as it had in Latin American.
However, Warner hasn’t commented on this.
Anitta has since signed to Republic Records.

Rita Ora teases ‘grown up’ album

OHMYGOSSIP — Rita Ora’s new album reflects how much she has “grown up” over the “past few years”.
The 32-year-old pop star – who is married to filmmaker Taika Waititi – has revealed that writing her new LP ‘You and I’ from her diary entries made her realise just how much has changed in her life.
Rita is quoted by The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column as saying: “Over the past few years, I’ve just grown up. My life evolved. I started journaling and those journals turned into songs. If you’re being vulnerable with your songs you have to be honest.
“That is the magic. Diving into songwriting with this album has been an eye-opener.”
The album documents the chapters of her relationship with her director spouse.
Rita, who has co-written each of the tracks on the record, said in a statement: “This album really means a lot to me.
“It’s like my diary of the last few years, it’s my sound and it just feels so true to me and who I am today.”
As well as announcing the follow-up to 2018’s ‘Phoenix’, which is out on July 14, the singer also shared her and Fatboy Slim’s re-working of his 90s hit ‘Praise You’, ‘Praising You’, in April.
The pair’s collaboration came after they had a chance meeting in the fields of Glastonbury festival.
Norman Cook aka Fatboy Slim recalled: “From a chance meeting late one night in the Naughty Corner at Glastonbury a friendship and collaboration grew that on paper may look unlikely. Yet here it is, and it has a life of its own!”
The 59-year-old ‘Right Here, Right Now’ hitmaker praised Rita for breathing “new life” into the song.
He told her in an interview with The Big Issue out now: “While we’re blowing smoke up each other’s a****, you breathe new life into it. I’ve listened to that tune an awful lot and it is easy to get jaded about it, but you’ve definitely taken it in a different direction for me.”
Rita wrote from the perspective of being head-over-heels in love.
She said: “The way I wrote it was being madly in love with someone and having fun with that person. When you love a person you do praise them. You feel like they can do no wrong. So that’s what my version of the record is about.
“And dancing in your feelings, because it’s the best feeling in the world.”
The promo to accompany the tune was helmed by Academy Award winner Taika, 47, who Rita tied the knot with last year.
‘Praising You’ followed the release of Rita’s solo single ‘You Only Love Me’ earlier this year, which marked the singer’s first release on BMG, and both tracks are on the new album.
The ‘Anywhere’ singer poured her heart and soul into the emotional pop song about “feeling vulnerable at the very start of her romantic journey.”
Her other half’s voice memo is played at the start of the track.
Pre-order ‘You and I’ now via Rita’s official store and all other major platforms.

Hayley Kiyoko ‘so proud’ to headline Canada’s first queer festival

OHMYGOSSIP — Hayley Kiyoko is “honoured” to headline Canada’s first queer music festival.
The 32-year-old singer-and-actress – who is openly queer – will top the bill at Toronto’s Lavender Wild this weekend.
She told ET Canada: “I’m so proud of Toronto.
“And I’m so lucky to be a part of it. It’s going to be a very special weekend, but it’s just so important to have representation and to be able to have festivals that can bring like-minded people together and an amazing community together to celebrate themselves, especially during pride.”
The one-day extravaganza takes place at RBC Echo Beach on Sunday, June 4, and Hayley will be joined by the likes of Girl in Red, Daya, The Aces and G Flip.
She added that she is “very, very honoured to be a part of it. I’m so excited to see so many of my peers, Girl in Red, Daya [and] G Flip there. There’s so many amazing artists that are going to be performing.”
The queer festival slot comes after Hayley was recently threatened with legal action by an “undercover” police officer for inviting drag queens to perform on stage at her concert in Nashville, Tennessee.
The pop star risked getting into trouble with local law enforcement for allowing the drag stars to be part of her concert earlier this month.
She shared on Instagram: “The past 48 hours have been an emotional rollercoaster to say the least. Our day off in Nashville we went to a drag show at @playnashville and I had the honor of being brought on stage. We then planned to have some fabulous queens join us during my show the next day.
“At soundcheck the day of, I was advised by local law enforcement that having a drag performance at my all-ages show could result in legal action. They warned us to not bring any drag performers on stage. I was shattered as you can see in the videos, I recorded reacting to the situation in real-time before the show started.
“I never want to put anyone in a position to be at risk or in danger in any way. But also where is the line of being silenced? How do we navigate these absurd threats and laws against our community? I find pride in making sure my concerts are safe places for ALL. How can I do that if we aren’t allowed to be ourselves, especially at a predominantly queer concert? We deserve to have a safe space to be ourselves while we navigate the evil that is threatening our own existence.”
The drag queens showed “no fear” as they agreed to perform despite the state’s recently-passed anti-drag bill.
It prohibits adult cabaret from performing on public property and other places where minors could be present, and it includes “male or female impersonators” under the banner of “adult cabaret.”
Violators would face a fine of up to $1,000, and up to two years in prison.

‘I don’t think it’s the end’: Adam Lambert on his future with Queen

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Lambert doesn’t believe his journey with Queen is over yet.
The ‘American Idol’ alum admits he thought his first-ever performance with guitarist Sir Brian May, 75, and drummer Roger Taylor, 73, on the talent show in 2009 was a “one-off”, and he never imagined they’d continue performing together across the globe for more than a decade.
Asked if he thinks there will be another UK tour, Adam, 41, told Metro.co.uk: “Not that I’m necessarily aware of, but I know that it’s not out of the question. I mean, we just kind of keep going, don’t we?
“Last summer was such a treat, we had a blast. It was a really beautiful tour, and we were very excited to get back on the road in front of the fans. And 10 sold-out shows at the O2 was a big milestone for me, personally. I’m so grateful for the journey that we’ve been on together.
“I know when I first performed with them, I thought it was probably going to be a one-off and then one thing led to another and it just snowballed and it became this beautiful relationship that we’ve continued over the past 10 or so years. And I’m delighted, I’m so excited to get back on the road in the States.”
The ‘Rhapsody Tour’ of North America kicks off in October.
On their future, he added: “And I don’t think that’s the end. I think there’s probably more where that came from.”
Brian previously revealed there are still some fans who are unhappy that Queen + Adam Lambert even tour, but he insists late frontman Freddie Mercury – who died in 1991 aged 45 due to complications from AIDS – would be happy that the band have continued to play their music.
He said previously: “There are people who like we shouldn’t even be going on stage without Freddie. But I think that would have been very sad, and that’s not what Freddie would have wanted either. He would have wanted us to continue developing. And of course, because we are continuing and developing, it keeps his legacy alive.”
Despite his own astonishing vocal abilities, Brian thinks that Freddie would have been a little bit jealous of Adam’s incredible singing voice.
He said: “I’ve heard a billion voices in my life, and I’ve never heard a voice like Adam’s. Time and time again, I can picture Freddie saying, ‘You b******!’ Because Adam’s range is so ridiculous, isn’t it? And so often, I’ve found myself wishing that Freddie and Adam could have gotten together, because they would have had the greatest time. They’re so similar in some ways, personally and musically.”

Joe Trohman returns to Fall Out Boy

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Trohman has returned to Fall Out Boy.
The 38-year-old guitarist took a break from the ‘Dance Dance’ group in January to focus on his mental health, but he’s now thanked fans for their support during his break and confirmed he is “officially back” with the band.
Sharing a photo of himself on stage, he wrote on Instagram: “Hey everyone, I’m officially back! I want to thank everyone for the love and support while I took some time away to focus on my brain and get healthy for my family, my friends and myself.”
Joe went on to pay tribute to Ben Young, who has been performing live with the band alongside Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz and Andy Hurley in his absence.
He added: “I also want to thank Ben Young for stepping up and filling in on the shows I missed – He is a true gentleman and a scholar.
“I’m stoked to be back in action and I can’t wait to see everyone on tour this summer!”
The ‘Centuries’ hitmaker previously explained his mental health had “rapidly deteriorated” so he felt it was important to step back from the spotlight.
In a statement on the band’s Instagram page, Joe said: “Neil Young once howled that it’s better to burn out than to fade away. But I can tell you unequivocally that burning out is dreadful. Without divulging all the details, I must disclose that my mental health has rapidly deteriorated over the past several years. So, to avoid fading away and never returning, I will be taking a break from work which regrettably includes stepping away from Fall Out Boy for a spell.”
The rocker has vowed to return to the band in the future but insisted it was “necessary” to put his “mental health first”.
He added: “It pains me to make this decision, especially when we are releasing a new album that fills me with great pride (the sin I’m most proud of). So, the question remains: Will I return to the fold? Absolutely, one-hundred percent. In the meantime, I must recover which means putting myself and my mental health first. Thank you to everyone, including my bandmates and family, for understanding and respecting this difficult, but necessary, decision.”

BTS to release 10th anniversary song Take Two

The K-Pop septet – comprising SUGA, Jimin, V, Jungkook, RM, J-Hope, and Jin – will release their second song of the year – which follows this month’s ‘The Planet’ – on June 9 in honour of their loyal fanbase.
Big Hit Entertainment said: “The song conveys their appreciation toward ARMY for all the love you shower them with and their desire to always be together with you.
“We sincerely express our gratitude to ARMY for making the 10th anniversary possible with your endless love for BTS.”
The South Korean boy band turns 10 on June 13.
The ‘Butter’ hitmakers have also been teasing their BTS Festa event, which will take place over two weeks in Seoul.
It will kick off on June 12 and run until June 25 and will take place at major landmarks, including the Han River and Seoul Tower.
The main event takes place at the Han River Park on June 17.
Previously unseen content, special releases, including solo work, and much more is planned.
The band are currently on a hiatus of sorts while they focus on solo projects and embark on military service, and SUGA previously said he is looking forward to the day they reunite and hopes they have a long future ahead.
Speaking to bandmate RM, 28, on an episode of his ‘Suchwita’ podcast, he said: “I dream of a future where the seven of us are together until we die. I’d like for the seven of us to be together for a long, long time.
“I don’t know how much more time will pass, or how long we will [continue to] go forward, but even when we get old and stop [promoting as an act] I hope BTS can all be together.”
BTS – who formed in 2010 – announced their hiatus in June 2022.
As well as focusing on solo music, Jin and J-Hope have embarked on their mandatory military service.

Noel Gallagher shares new single Open The Door, See What You Find

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have shared their latest tune, ‘Open The Door, See What You Find’.
The fifth single taken from the former Oasis rocker’s upcoming LP ‘Council Skies’ features Noel’s pal Johnny Marr on guitar and it’s about being content with who you are and where you are in life.
He said of the track: “Lyrically, the premise is that at a certain point in your life, you look in a mirror and you see all you’ve ever been and all you’re ever going to be. It’s about being happy with that. Being happy with where you are in life, with who you are, and where you’re going. Life is good!”
The new song follows ‘Pretty Boy’ (also featuring Johnny Marr), ‘Easy Now’, ‘Dead To The World’, and the album’s title track.
The 56-year-old musician recently teased that “not one song” is “stylistically” the same on his upcoming album.
‘Council Skies’ is his first High Flying Birds record that features his “actual” live band, and although it’s “very eclectic”, it’s not as “far out” as his experimental psychedelic rock effort, ‘Who Built The Moon?’.
In a cover interview with the Mancunian, Noel said: “This is the first album which my actual band all played on, because usually I would do it all myself.
“When you eventually get to hear it, it’s very eclectic. It’s not as far out as [2017’s] ‘Who Built The Moon?’, but there’s a run of the first 6 or 7 songs, not one song that follows the other is the same stylistically.”
As for the lyrical content, the rocker – who is going through a divorce from his second wife, Sara MacDonald, after 22 years together – says it’s a very “reflective album”.
He shared: “If you can put yourself back into that period, we didn’t really know what the future was going to be because none of us had lived through a pandemic before. We were kind of stood, looking at the skies going ‘What the f***? What is the next few years gonna be like?’ […] I was just reflecting on how I’d got to where I’d got to and I had a lot of time to sit and think about it. It’s a reflective album, more than anything.”
Noel – who has sons Donovan, 15, and Sonny, 12, with Sara, and 23-year-old daughter Anais Gallagher with first wife Meg Mathews – is set to return to his home city of Manchester to perform a massive outdoor gig at Wythenshawe Park on August 26, which couldn’t be more fitting, as it’s in the middle of the largest council estate.
He told the publication: “My promoters were saying that they were thinking of doing this regular thing in Wythenshawe Park, and this is before they knew anything about the album. Ironically, this is gonna be my first British gig promoting an album called ‘Council Skies’, in the middle of the biggest council estate in Europe. It just all fell into place which is f****** magical.”
‘Council Skies’ is released on June 2.

‘It’s torturous!’ James Arthur has to find new ways to perform his signature song

OHMYGOSSIP — James Arthur has to find new ways to keep his signature song “interesting.”
The 35-year-old singer shot to fame in 2013 as the winner of ‘The X Factor’ and released ‘Impossible’ as his winner’s single but admitted that it can be “torturous” to play over and over again unless he can find different ways to “evolve” it.
Speaking on UK TV show ‘Lorraine’, he told stand-in host Ranvir Singh: “A lot of the fans that come to the shows might wanna hear that song so I think what keeps it interesting is just trying to evolve it or develop it in a way that’s different for me as well because otherwise it’s just torturous to play the same thing over and over again. I used to kind of look it like I just wanted to play the new album and I didn’t want to play the old songs and I wanna be known for what I’m doing right now but I kind of feel blessed now. ”
Meanwhile, James also went on to set a UK record when his 2016 single ‘Say You Won’t Let Go’ notched up 2.2 billion views on Spoitfy and admitted he is “blown away” by those kind of statistics as he noted that his new single ‘A Year Ago’ is a return to his classic kind of sound.
He added: “Those stats kind of blow me away, it’s weird when you have a song that connects with people on such a big scale like that, you kind of feel overwhelmed by it or in the shadow of it all the time but if that’s the height of my career then I can’t really complain. I feel like I’m just starting, though! My new song is kind of a bit of a return to the sound people would recognise me for. The last album, I was having a bit of fun trying something different in lockdown. I was obsessed with having a coherent sounding album and I realised when I toured it that I could’ve just presented in the way I’ve done this new song.”

Kylie Minogue ‘bursting with joy’ over Padam Padam success

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Minogue is “bursting with joy” over the success of ‘Padam Padam.’
The legendary pop star – who became the first female artist to score a UK Number 1 album in five consecutive decades with the release of her last record ‘Disco’ in 2020 – returned to the charts with the lead single from her forthcoming album ‘Tension’ to critical acclaim last week and thanked fans for the reaction as she celebrated her 55th birthday on Sunday (28.05.23).
Speaking in a video posted to Instagram, she said: “I just wanted to say thank you, thank you so so much for all the birthday messages and the ‘Padam’ reaction and the love, it has been an incredible week topped off by being my birthday today and I can’t thank you enough. My heart is bursting with joy so thank you so so much!”
It was recently reported that Kylie was planning to release a new song days before her birthday with her first arena tour since 2018’s ‘Golden Tour’ also said to be part of her huge comeback.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Kylie has finally finished the album and is now raring to go with her return to music.
“It is being kept under lock and key and hardly anyone at her record label has even heard it.
“It’s classic Kylie and is sure to go down well with fans.”
The ‘Spinning Around’ hitmaker – who is known for having explored a variety of music genres throughout her career including, pop, Indie, country, and disco – recently teased that her upcoming 16th LP will be a mixture of electro and 90s house music.
She told The Irish News: “I can’t give too much away, but there’s some 2000s electro, 90s house and what I like to call emoto-pop. I can’t wait to share this with fans and enter the next era of music and live performance.”
‘Tension’ is set for release on September 22.

Miley Cyrus defends her decision to take a break from touring: ‘I’m just on my Endless Summer Vacation!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Miley Cyrus has defended her decision to take a break from touring.
The 30-year-old singer released her latest album ‘Endless Summer Vacation’ in March and said in a recent interview with British Vogue that she “can’t do another arena tour” – causing uproar among legions of her fans.
In a lengthy statement posted on Wednesday (24.05.23) to her Instagram, the pop star doubled down on her decision by telling her followers: “For clarity I feel connected to my fans NOW more than ever. When I win we win. Even if I don’t see them face to face every night at a concert, my fans are felt deeply in my heart.
“I’m constantly creating and innovating new ways I can stay connected to the audience I love – without sacrificing my own essentials.
“Performing for YOU has been some of the best days of my life and we will continue this journey together as we have for the last almost two decades.
“This has nothing to do with a lack of appreciation for the fans and everything to do with I simply don’t want to get ready in a locker room. Which is the reality of life on the road.
“These looks I’ve been turning don’t travel well. The archival looks don’t fold. I just don’t want to sleep on a moving bus. It isn’t what’s best for me right NOW.”
Admitting she could backtrack on her decision, Miley added: “If you’ve been following my career you know that I always change and the way I feel about that could too.
“Love you forever, I’m just on my Endless Summer Vacation.”
She had told Vogue: “After the last (arena) show I did, I kind of looked at it as more of a question. And I can’t.
“Not only can’t, because can’t is your capability, but my desire. Do I want to live my life for anyone else’s pleasure or fulfilment other than my own?”

Steve Albini made sure there were no ‘drug dealers trying to do business’ while recording with Nirvana

OHMYGOSSIP — Steve Albini made sure there were no hangers-on or “drug dealers trying to do business” while he recorded with Nirvana.
The 60-year-old producer – who has also worked with Manic Street Preachers, Pixies and Breeders – produced the group’s 1993 album ‘In Utero’ and said they decided to work in a studio about 50 miles outside of Minneapolis “in a place where people weren’t going to be predatory” following Nirvana’s sudden global fame.
He told NME: “There wasn’t anything out of the ordinary about the sessions. I mean, apart from them being extremely famous. I had to do everything I could to keep it under wraps to make sure that we didn’t get overrun by fans and the added nonsense. That was the only thing that was weird about it.
“It was far enough away from anybody that the band knew socially, and we wouldn’t have a f****** TV crew out front every day or any drug dealers trying to do business.
“We had to make sure that word didn’t get out. The studio was an independent studio and there was only a small number of people working there.”
Steve added about the tactics he used to keep the recording venue under wraps: “I didn’t really want to trust them with the secret, so I booked the studio on my account under the pseudonym the ‘Simon Ritchie Band’, which was of course Sid Vicious’ real name.
“Until the flight cases started arriving from the cartage company the day before we started, nobody knew.
“The cases had Nirvana spray-painted on the side of them, but until that happened, even the people who owned the studio didn’t know that Nirvana was going to be recording there.”
