OHMYGOSSIP — Troye Sivan says his music comeback is imminent.
The 28-year-old former YouTuber-turned-singer-and-actor has provided fans with an update on his long-awaited follow-up to 2018’s ‘Bloom’ and revealed that in between his acting – including ‘The Idol’ alongside Lily-Rose Depp and The Weeknd – he’s been busy preparing new songs.
Alongside what appears to be a snippet of a new track called ‘Rush’, Troye wrote on Instagram: “It’s not lost on me that some of you guys have been following along since i was the kid w the stye in my eye in that first video.
“Btw — I didn’t mean to take 5 years to make this album – Bloom tour happened (lmk if you came!), then i started working on it, then c***big19 (COVID-19), then The Idol, always working on the album in all the moments between.. and now here we are. 10 years since i signed my record deal, 5 years since bloom. Enough excuses now. Enough saying ‘soon’ this is for YOU and it starts NOWWWW.
“I love you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you (sic)”
In the clip, Troye is seen over the years in vlogs saying, ‘Hey guys, it’s Troye Sivan.”
The ‘1999’ hitmaker – who has collaborated with the likes of Charli XCX, BTS, Ariana Grande and Alessia Cara – has released two studio albums; 2015’s ‘Blue Neighbourhood’ and ‘Bloom’.
In 2020, Troye released his fifth EP, ‘In A Dream’.
The pop star had to relive a difficult period in his life to create the collection – the follow-up to his 2015 EP, ‘Wild’ – and admitted it was “tough” to write.
He explained at the time: “This small collection of songs explores an emotional rollercoaster period in my life when the feelings and thoughts were most shockingly fresh.
“Revisiting these songs and moments is tough, but I’m proud of this music and excited to have it out in the world.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher admits his new solo tunes are going down “terrible” with US crowds.
The former Oasis guitarist opens his set with five new tracks – ‘Pretty Boy’, ‘Council Skies’, ‘We’re Gonna Get There in the End’, ‘Open the Door, See What You Find’ and ‘We’re on Our Way Now’ – from ‘Council Skies’ with his High Flying Birds.
Noel, 56, insists that while he “changed people’s lives” with the Britpop group’s music, he was in his twenties then and his solo stuff is mature and true to his age.
He told the ‘Rolling Stone Music Now’ podcast: “I would assume Oasis fans would like me to rewrite ‘Definitely Maybe’ forevermore, but you are not really stretching yourself as an artist then.
I’d give one of my children to rewrite that album and have it be as good and as vital and as relevant. But it’s not gonna f****** happen. And thank God it happened once … I’m 56, right? Let me be 56. You know, I’m not f****** 27 anymore. I was 27 once and I f****** changed people’s lives! You can’t carry on doing it.”
Asked how the songs are being received on his US tour, he replied: “Terrible.
“I’m starting off with five new ones. People should have bought the f****** album, then, shouldn’t they? So they’re gonna stand there with their mouths open thinking, ‘What the f*** is this?’ I should advise them to go to their preferred streaming service.”
He did admit that ‘Easy Now’ from the LP – which reached No.2 in the UK – is most like Oasis but insisted it’s impossible to make songs as good as the ‘Supersonic’ group – who disbanded in 2009 following a fight between Noel and his 50-year-old estranged sibling and Oasis’ ex-frontman Liam Gallagher – in their heyday.
He said: “I’ve only persevered with this one because it was so good.
“All the rest of them that I’ve kind of shied away from, as soon as I hit a chorus, I just go, ‘Nah, there’s no point in me putting it out and then a load of people going, well, just sounds like s*** Oasis.’ When I was writing this song and I got to the chorus, I was like, oh, actually, this one’s pretty good.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Yungblud has returned with new single ‘Lowlife’.
The 25-year-old singer, born Dominic Richard Harrison, has premiered his latest track via Zane Lowe on Apple Music, and revealed how the song was written at a time where he “didn’t want to be anything at all”.
He said in a statement: “I wrote ‘Lowlife’ because I just didn’t want to leave my house.
“I was sick of people, of games, of myself, my friends, anytime I did anything some idiot had an opinion about it. What I should do or be.
“The truth is I didn’t want to be anything at all sometimes, I wanted to be nothing. So I just didn’t leave bed.
“I was dissatisfied and craving some sort of boredom. The type of boredom where you sit in your house, in the same sheets and watch f****** mind numbing TV, so I wrote a song about it.”
Yungblud topped the charts last year with his self-titled third album, and later collaborated with Avril Lavigne on ‘I’m a Mess’ from the deluxe edition of her ‘Love Sux’ record.
For the new track, he didn’t want to be beholden to specific influences during writers, and he went into the studio with producer Paul Meany with no references or preconceived idea of the outcome.
He added: “I’ve not been going into the studio intent on making something like, ‘Close to Me’ or ‘Born this Way’ or ‘Life on Mars’.
“We’d start with a blank canvas each time, bring up a beat and see what the f*** happens.”
Yungblud recently completed a massive run of shows across the UK and Europe – as well as festivals in South America – as part of his ongoing world tour.
He is touring the United States this summer, and will be back in the UK later this week for a performance at the Eden Project.

OHMYGOSSIP — The Foo Fighters are reportedly set to return to Glastonbury this year.
Dave Grohl and Co, who first played the festival in 1998, have apparently booked a set of rooms at a hotel near Worthy Farm ahead of the show and are said to be planning a 75-minute show in a 6.15pm slot at the Pyramid Stage – ahead of performances by Royal Blood and headliners Arctic Monkeys.
The Sun has also reported festival organisers have codenamed the Foos ‘The Chumps’ on the official Glastonbury line-up.
A music source told the newspaper about how the group are headed for the festival, which will run from 21–26 June: “The set has been in the planning for some time as it will be 25 years since the Foo Fighters first played Glastonbury back in 1998.
“The day and slot is also exactly the same as when they made their debut.
“After a tough 12 months the group wanted to celebrate their time together and what better way than at the mother of all festivals.
“The Foos made sure to leave a gap in their touring schedule but wanted to keep it under wraps.”
Former Nirvana drummer Dave, 54, recently shared an open letter to fans on social media in which he promised he would see fans “soon”.
He also referenced how the group were experiencing “churning” emotions in the wake of the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins in March 2022 aged 50 from a “cardiovascular collapse” while the band were in Colombia.
Dave – who appeared at Glasto last year to support Sir Paul McCartney, 80, during his headline set – wrote in his note posted on the Foo Fighters’ social media feeds: “Hey, it’s been a while. Now that we’ve returned from our first run of shows, I felt compelled to reach out and thank you all for being there for us.
“Every night, when I see you singing, it makes me sing harder. When I see you screaming, it makes me scream louder.
“When I see your tears, it brings me to tears. And when I see your joy, it brings me joy.
“But, I see you … and it feels good to see you, churning up these emotions. Because we’ve always done this together. Time and time again. See you soon.”

OHMYGOSSIP — McFly have always wanted to make a rock album.
The boy band – which consists of Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Harry Judd, and Dougie Poynter – released a string of chart-topping pop albums in the mid to late 2000s but are now back on the music scene with ‘Power to Play’ and now Tom has explained that even though the record might not be as “commercial” as their others, it is the way they themselves see the band.
He told The Daily Star’s Wired column: “The common thing we all felt was, ‘We all want to make a guitar album, and none of us had vocalised that. Originally we weren’t writing like that, we were writing on the piano, and all the tools that arc there for you, But actually if you take it back to basics and you pick up a guitar and you write a riff then you write a melody to that, you write different songs.”
These might not be the songs that get played on commercial radio or get big Spotify streams, but it was clear that this is the way that we see McFly. ”
The ‘Five Colours in Her Hair’ hitmaker went on to cite some of their most successful singles from over the years and explained that even when they play them live these days, they take on a “new life” for themselves and the new album is a reflection of that.
He added: “Even when you look at our most poppy songs. Take ‘Obviously’, All About You’, ‘Star Girl’, and ‘Shine A Light’, they sound the way they sound. But when we play them live, they take on a new life. And that new life people see live where they go, ‘Oh it sounds a bit different. Well that is actually the way that we see McFly – and for us we wanted to make an album that reflects that.”
‘Power to Play’ is out on Friday 9 June.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran wants to transition into country music.
The 32-year-old pop star has released smash hit albums ‘+’ ‘x’ ‘ ‘=’ ‘÷’ and ‘-‘ over the course of his career so far and is now “questioning” a lot of things as he prepares to change things up and admitted he wants to try country music at some point.
Speaking on NBC’s ‘Today’, he said: I’ve known for the past 13 years what Mathematics would be, and now it’s, like, what to do next There’s lots of questions going around in my head. I lived in Nashville for a couple of years, and I kind of fell in love with country music there. That’s something I would love to do at some point.”
The ‘Eyes Closed’ hitmaker previously explained that he “loves the culture” that surrounds country music after spending time in Nashville and discovering the “community” of songwriting in the Southern US but explained that he had “never really listened” to the genre until he supported Taylor Swift on her ‘Red’ tour in 2013.
He told Billboard: “I love the culture of it, I just love the songwriting. It’s just like brilliant songs. It’s like a community. There’s not really a place in Europe where you could point and say, ‘That’s the home of songwriting,’” he says. “It’s not just for country music. Nashville is just a hub of incredible songwriters, incredible performers. And I really felt inspired just being there being around everyone.
“I’d never really listened to country music as a kid growing up. It was only being on Taylor’s Red tour and living in Nashville and her basically introducing me to that side of it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Niall Horan has “never hidden away” from playing One Direction songs on his solo shows.
The 29-year-old pop star shot to global fame alongside Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Mailk, and Liam Payne in the ‘X Factor’-created boy band in 2010 and has since gone on to launch a successful solo career since they went on hiatus in 2015 but still thinks the classics as “great songs” and enjoys performing them today.
Speaking on Apple Music One when asked if he would be playing any classic tracks on his upcoming tour, he told Zane Lowe: “More than likely, yeah. I’ve never been one to hide away from it. They’re great songs. There’s so many on there that feel like my kind of stuff as well. And it’s good to make new versions of as well.”
In recent times, rumours have circulated that a reunion between the ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ hitmakers is on the cards especially following Harry’s appearance on James Corden’s final episode of ‘The Late Late Show’ but Niall was quick to explain that no conversation regarding a comeback has ever happened even though they are all on speaking terms.
He added: “Oh, it’s not like it’s ever stopped. The Corden one is just a big moment in… A long line of… It’s in most interviews. I’ll talk about it in… Yeah, so it’s not like it’s ever stopped. It’s just like the conversation hasn’t happened. It’s a great legacy to have. No, I don’t think it sucks the air out of the room. It’s more, the answer’s still the same. The conversation hasn’t happened. We speak regularly, but that conversation hasn’t happened. God knows whether it ends up being. It could be like the Friends reunion, it could be a whole tour. God knows what it is, but no, it hasn’t been spoken about, so…”
Meanwhile, the ‘Heaven’ hitmaker is set to release his third studio album ‘The Show’ on June 9 ahead of his 2024 world tour and described the record as the “most emotional” one that he has ever made.
He added: “Probably more so then, yeah. The most emotional record I’ve made I’d imagine because I had this massive period of reflection looking into the future a bit, looking left and right more than I’ve ever done. When you’re in the rat race, you tend to just go. Yeah, exactly. So as I said, when you’re on the roll, you just go with it. You don’t do any thinking when you’re 17 to 20-something. You just go. There’s no time for thinking, just having fun and enjoying it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jelly Roll has always turned to music in the “darkest moments” of his life.
The 38-year-old rapper – who 10 years spent in federal prison from the age of 14 to 25 for various charges – explained that songwriting has been his “constant” in life and wants to add “hopefulness” to his latest record ‘Whitsitt Chapel’.
He told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I think at some point in life, everything in life has let me down. But music was always my constant. Like, when I had nothing else, I had a boombox. When I was incarcerated, I had a set of headphones and a little radio. In the darkest moments of my life, at my father’s funeral, it was music that helped me cope. Music was always there to give me a hug. So I just want to do that for people. I’m constantly writing songs to show people that it’s okay to be a work in progress. It’s okay to still meet yourself in the middle. But I also wanted to make sure this time that I added hopefulness to it and the tempo. I had some tempo changes. I wanted to be more uplifting, more major keys.”
The ‘Save Me’ hitmaker – whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord – went on to add that he had had an encounter with a fan from his hometown who cited him as an inspiration and insisted that even “billions of dollars” could never match that.
He said: “There’s no amount of celebrity or money that will ever mean more than the lady I just saw in the parking lot that’s from Antioch, Tennessee, and asking if she takes a picture and just told me her brief piece of her story and what she’s overcome in life and how I inspired that. You could throw billions of dollars at me, it’ll never have the effect that I get, that feeling, when fans tell me the music helped them.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kool and the Gang want younger fans to know who they are.
The R and B band has undergone numerous lineup changes since brothers Robert – who is known as Kool – and Ronald Bell got together with Dennis “Dee Tee” Thomas, Robert “Spike” Mickens, Charles Smith, George Brown, and Ricky West in 1964 but their tracks have been sampled and covered by numerous different artists since then and frontman Kool has admitted that although their younger audience still know their music, they don’t know the band themselves.
He told The Daily Mirror newspaper: “Young people dig our music. Then the old people say, ‘That’s Kool and the Gang’, and they say, ‘No, that sounds like this band or that band’. They don’t know it’s us. I’ve been in restaurants when one of our songs comes on and I’ve had to tell people, ‘That’s us, that’s Kool and the Gang. Or sometimes I ask someone, ‘Have you ever heard of Kool and the Gang?’ and they’re not sure. ‘OK, have you ever heard of ‘Get Down On It’, ‘Ladies Night’, ‘Celebration’?’ And they’re like, ‘Oh yeah’. So it would be nice for people to connect us with the song. To know about the songs. But also to know who I am, too.”
Kool went on to add that although many of their tracks have been sampled by other artists more than 1,8000 times and have had portions of their works such as ‘Feel So Good’ and ‘Get Down On It’ appear on numerous soundtracks, it was not always commonplace for producers to ask permission and now, following a new bill, he is finally receiving compensation.
He added: “In the beginning, people didn’t ask permission so I had to put some money on sample control. But President Biden has now passed a bill that requires record companies to get clearances before they can release a song. So they are checking now and paying up.”

OHMYGOSSIP — N-Dubz are to release their first album in more than a decade.
The hip hop trio – which consists of Dappy, Tulisa, Fazer – have not put out a record since ‘Love.Live.Life’ in 2010 but have today (08.06.23) announced that their fourth studio album ‘Timeless’ will be available from August 4, and a press release described the album as “a cohesive record that tackles issues such as toxic relationships, mental health, and growing up in inner-city London”.
A trailer for the album sees the three members – who achieved mainstream success in their late 2000s heyday with three consecutive platinum-selling albums – sitting in various poses whilst wearing beige outfits whilst a clock is heard ticking in the background and eventually the album’s title is heard being repeatedly sung out.
The ‘I Need You’ hitmakers returned to the charts earlier this year with singles ‘Charmer’, ‘Trust No One (Tour Bus Freestyle), and ‘February’, whilst other tracks from the forthcoming album include the Michael Jackson-inspired ‘Habibti’, story-based song ‘ ‘The Ick’ and R and B ballad ‘Believe Me Now’.
The announcement comes following a sell-out reunion tour for the group towards the end of last year- which took place across various arenas up and down the country in November and December 2022, including four sold-out shows at London’s O2 Arena – and just weeks ahead of their summer shows, which will seem them back on the road back on the road playing open-air venues from the Isle of Wight festival to a show at Margate’s Dreamland.
‘Timeless’ is set for release on August 4.

OHMYGOSSIP — Niall Horan needs to have a knee injection before he can tour properly again.
The former One Direction star, 29, is due to hit the road in 2024 to promote his new album ‘The Show’ – which is out on June 9 – and explained that because of an injury he sustained during his time with the multi-million-selling boyband and has now explained that he is in need of a medical procedure so he can take to the stage safely.
He is quoted by The Daily Star newspaper’s Wired column as saying: “I had knee reconstruction in 2014. That one has a big zipper down the front of it – that’s fine. The other one 1 just tore the tendon that keeps my kneecap in place. I did an abrupt stop and felt it pop then fell on the floor like a sack of s***.
“So now I have to get an injection into my knee, then they spin the blood and take it out. I’ve been putting it off, pretending I’m busy because I don’t want to feel the pain but I do need to get that done because running around the stage will be no fun. I can’t actually run at the minute – I can barely walk!”
Meanwhile, the ‘Heaven’ hitmaker is also due to take to the stage at a series of festivals across the summer – including the Capital Summertime Ball at Wembley Arena – and sees the whole venture as a “challenge” to convert the regular festivalgoers beyond the diehards at the front int fans of his.
He added: “It’s something I’ve never done before, That idea of knowing that the pit and first few thousand past the barrier are going to be fans. Then I just want to get that drunk person on the way to the burger van. I want them to be become Niall Horan fans. I see it as a challenge for the next few months!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Garth Brooks wants to revive his rock alter ego Chris Gaines.
The 61-year-old country music legend released an album under the rock persona back in 1999 and as well as relishing the “challenge” it offered him, the ‘Lost in You’ singer knows his alternative direction appealed to a lot of fans.
In an interview at Billboard Country Live in Nashville earlier this week, he said: “The Gaines project was a lot of time put in — because it’s not natural, you’re acting on a record — but I want to do it simply for people who love the Gaines project.
“And selfishly, I love the Chris Gaines record, so I want to do it for me. It challenged me as a vocalist.
“So I don’t know when we’re going to get to it, but it’s on the list.”
The ‘Garth Brooks…in the Life of Chris Gaines’ album was perceived as a greatest hits project of songs from Chris’ non-existent five previous albums and was originally meant to be released alongside a film about the Australian rock star’s back story, but the movie was never made.
And Garth admitted he’d like to record the original records as Chris.
He said: “The five albums have to come out.
“I don’t know if it’s because I’m 114 years old, but now everything takes three hours more than it took time to do before.”
Elsewhere during the session, the ‘Friends in Low Places’ singer revealed he is working on a duets album with wife Tricia Yearwood, as well as another record that will feature performances with a range of other artists – who he declined to name – which will be released later this year and will feature both old and new songs.

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher has insinuated that brother Noel of stoking up Oasis reunion talk because he needs the money for his impending divorce.
Guitarist Noel, 56, has been fielding questions about the possibility of him and his younger sibling finally burying the hatchet following their 2009 fight which ended the band and getting back on stage together.
Most recently, in a US radio interview, Noel dared Liam, 50, to pick up the phone and call him to pitch his reunion idea.
Speaking to Seattle station 98.9 KPNW, Noel said: “He’s gonna have to call me. He’s gonna have to get somebody to call me because he’s been going on about it for the last 10 f****** years, or whatever it is. He doesn’t want it. And he knows that neither of us are particularly f****** interested in it. I know he doesn’t want it, I’m very comfortable with what I’m doing, I couldn’t give a flying f*** one way or the other. But he keeps going about it, so OK, f****** call us then, let’s see what you’ve got to say, you’ve made up all these imaginary ground rules down the years and told kids, it’s happening, it’s happening now, it’s coming, it’s definitely happening, blah, blah, blah.
“I dare him. I f****** dare you to call me. You won’t call me, because if you do call me and I go, ‘Actually, that’s a good idea. Actually, that might work.’ Then the a*** falls out of his trousers, because then he’s got to be in the same room as me, and we both know how that ends up.
“So call me. Stop tweeting, you’re bigger than that, you’re better than that.”
Liam has now fired back insisting his big brother is only interested in reuniting with him because he is set to lose a lot of cash to estranged wife Sara MacDonald, whom he split from earlier this year. But the singer is still bitter that Noel was nowhere to be seen when he was going through his own bitter divorce from All Saints star Nicole Appleton in 2013.
Mocking Noel’s outburst by comparing him to legendary WWE wrestler Ric Flair, Liam tweeted: “Rkids been in usa 2 days and he’s turned into RIC FLAIR it’s coming up it’s DARE.”
When a Twitter follower suggested that Noel was “on the sniff” as “he might need the cash for when his old bird gets the broom out in the divorce settlement”, Liam responded: “Exactly nowhere to be seen when I was going through my snizzle in fact he was putting the boot rite in Bumbaclart.”
In more tweets attacking Noel, Liam insistsed it is Noel who should call him after destroying Oasis when he walked out.
He ranted: “He’s lost the plot thinks by playing mind games he’s gonna win over the fans all his doing now is getting asked about me in his interviews while promoting his new drip, snookered himself once again little tart.
“He split the band up put lots of people out of jobs ruined many folks lives and he wants me to do the calling he is DELUSIONAL he can call me though id love to hear from him it’s been to long. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams believes in angels and his biggest hit of the same name is actually about Archangel Michael and Archangel Gabriel.
The former Take That star released his most famous hit ‘Angels’ in 1997, and he has now spilled that it is inspired by his own belief in the Christian concept of celestial beings.
And Robbie, 49, is certain that it isn’t a coincidence that his best ever song is about an “angelic force” and he thinks his anthem most likely came via divine inspiration from God.
Appearing on the ‘Weaponized’ YouTube page, he said: “People think it’s about my mum, or that it’s about somebody or something. Its actually about angels, it’s actually about St. Michael, it’s actually about Gabriel. Do I have a belief in angels? I love the idea of angels. It’s not lost on me that the most powerful song that I’ve ever had is about an angelic force, maybe there’s something in that.”
Now in the fourth decade of his career, Robbie – who has seen UFOs and other paranormal beings – has accepted that he will never write another song that will have the same impact as ‘Angels’.
But the pop superstar is fine with that because he believes that the song ‘Angels’ comes from, and now exists, in some “ethereal place” outside of him.
He said: “At the time when I wrote Angels there was a huge gap between it being a hit and me being able to facilitate how it becomes a hit. What happened was I left the band, I was cool for three seconds for splitting up a boy band, then I disappeared into lager and cocaine and was turning up to the opening of an envelope and I became the butt of jokes and my future didn’t look bright. While my future was not looking bright I was writing songs. I knew I had something incredibly special with this song ‘Angels’… The power of the song happened. Yes I knew that it was something incredibly special. I’ve probably written 700, 800 songs since then and I’ve never felt that way since. Angels exists outside of me, it now doesn’t belong to me, it belongs somewhere, an ethereal place that has done something bigger than I could ever have imagined.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher has announced a live album of his 2022 Knebworth Park concerts.
The ‘Supersonic’ singer played two triumphant shows at the venue of his former band Oasis’ era-defining shows in 1996, at which they performed to 250,000 people over two evenings.
‘Knebworth 22’ contains Oasis classics such as ‘Some Might Say’, ‘Wonderwall’ and ‘Champagne Supernova’, which saw legendary Stone Roses guitarist John Squire perform with the band, as well as Liam’s solo tracks, including ‘Wall Of Glass’, ‘Everything’s Electric’ and ‘Once’.
The live LP captures the energy in the crowd from the roar of approval that greets Liam as he steps on stage to open the show with ‘Hello’ right through to the mass singalongs that greet the iconic hits of past.
Announcing the album, Liam said: “So, we recorded the Knebworth gigs we did last year. We all sound Biblical, turn it up ENJOY, LGx.”
Demand for the two 2022 summer shows was high and all 170,000 tickets for the weekend sold-out almost instantly.
‘Knebworth 22’ is released alongside a live video of the weekend’s surprises such as ‘Roll It Over’ from Oasis’ fourth studio LP ‘Standing On The Shoulder of Giants’, which the group had never played live.
‘Knebworth 22’ will be released on August 11 and is available to pre-order or pre-save now. In addition to its digital release, physical formats include standard and deluxe CDs, black double-vinyl and sun yellow double-vinyl. OHMYGOSSIP — Janelle Monae has teased that her new album ‘The Age of Pleasure’ will reveal who her crush is and a lot more secrets about her personal life.
The 37-year-old musician-and-actress has just dropped her fourth studio album and she insists it is a record on which she bares her soul and shares details about her life and personality that no one has ever previously known.
When asked if she currently has a crush in an interview with Audacy’s V-103, she answered: “I do. After you hear the album, you’ll know… you’ll learn a lot more about me.”
Janelle identifies as non-binary and uses they/them and her/she pronouns and has described herself as being both bisexual and pansexual.
In the interview, the ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery’ star also shared what she looks for in an ideal partner, insisting she needs a person who is going to make her laugh and who wants to “evolve” in life.
She said: “I love to laugh. Like, if you don’t have a good sense of humor, it, you know, nine times outta 10 wouldn’t work. I love laughter.
“I love transparency. I love being able to have conversations that, you know, years ago, I may have been like, ‘That’s tough. How do we navigate this?’
“I love being able to evolve with somebody who’s constantly growing and somebody who’s doing their thing. I think that’s really sexy when people are passionate about their thing. If it’s not art, what is it? What’s making you excited about life? I love that… Not possessive. You know, somebody that they know how to date a rock star.”
Janelle then expanded on what she meant by having somebody in her life that knows “how to date a rock star”, revealing that means they need to be patient and want to make you emotionally happy.
She added: “Seeing me happy and me seeing whoever my partner or partners are happy, that’s really important too. Like, knowing that from a human-to-human level, I want what’s best for you. Like, I want you to be happy. How do we constantly, as we evolve as people, how do we make sure that we’re happy? What does that look like? Let’s talk through it.
“And nine times outta 10, I’m going to date somebody who could be my best friend. ‘Cause you have to really like each other. Like, you have to f*** with each other. It’s not about sex. It’s not about that part of it. I have to like you outside of that. I have to really, really, really want to hang out with you.”
